After a few minutes of hugging, Bokomon was let down on his feet and the old Mon wiped away a few tears. "It's so good to see you all, so grown up." he smiled up at them.
"It's great to see you too, Bokomon." Takuya answered.
Bokomon's eyes then went to the Digidestined, who stood nearby awkwardly at the scene. "Oh hello! You must be the Digidestined, am I right?"
Tai blinked, surprised. "How did you know?"
A tick mark appeared on Bokomon's forehead as he leaned against his walking stick. "What? You think an old mon as myself doesn't know these things?"
"N-No!" Tai stuttered and scratched the back of his head.
The Warriors laughed and Tai looked at them confused.
"Sorry," Jp apologized. "Bokomon can be a bit intimidating. Well, sort of." He stopped and thought about it. "Okay, not really."
Bokomon smiled. "Yes, I know who you are. Except for your names."
As introduction were made, Tommy looked around and searched for a certain yellow rabbit-like Digimon with red pants. "Bokomon? Where's Neemon?"
Bokomon's eyes grew into giant saucers. "OH MY GOODNESS! I FORGOT!" Bokomon pointed to a building, another picnic area, a short distance away. "Neemon's in there!"
"Well, let's go say hi." Amy said and the Warriors nodded in agreement. The Warriors followed Bokomon, except for Takuya and Stephanie.
Stephanie smiled. "You guys should come with us. I'm sure Neemon would love to see you."
"We don't mean to impose on your reunion." Tentomon said politly.
"Nahhh, it's fine." Takuya assured. "Bokomon and Neemon won't mind. Besides, we're all in this together."
Matt looked at his best friend and shrugged. "Alright, if you say so." he sighed.
When the Digidetined arrived, it was already full. The Warriors/Digidestined arranged themselves on the outside railings and some of them sat down on them.
Since he was able to see over some of the kids' heads, Joe remained noticed that almost all of the picnic tables were full of Digimon, their attention on a small rabbit sitting on a chair on top of a table in the middle of the room. On his stubby arms, the rabbit held a large red book, which looked worn from the years.
Gomamon hopped on Joe's back and placed his head on his shoulder to get a better look. "So that must be the famous Neemon." Gomamon muttered.
"Guys, hush." whispered Sora.
It was then that Joe and Gomamon heard the rabbit reading from the book.
"Amy stepped in front of us and when SkullSatamon's attack was less than fifteen feet away, she used her powers to create a force field, making the attack bounce right back to him." read Neemon from the book. "SkullSatamon was angry, of course, and realizing this, she turned and said: 'Go back to the station. I'll distract them.' Zoe and Jp tried to talk her out of it, but Lady Lapumon was only focused on our safety."
Zoe gasped. "He's reading the part from the attack in the Village of Flames!"
"Holy shit," exclaimed Jp. "You're right!"
A thud was heard and everyone gasped when Bokomon's stick hit Jp's head.
"Be quiet!" he hissed. "And watch your mouth, young man!"
"Yes sir." moaned a teary-eyed Jp.
We followed her orders, Jp, Zoe, Kouichi, Tommy, Neemon and I and watched as Amy used her force fields to hit SkullSatamon in the face multiple times. I watched as she fought bravly for us and I realized that her heart was truly on saving the world. She had used her power to its limit in order to make a difference. I believe that she is destined to great things."
Neemon closed the book dramatically and the Digimon sat there in wonder.
"I'm..." announced Neemon. "...thirsty so I'll stop here for now. Bye!"Groans filled the air and the Warriors/ Digidestined moved to the side to left the Digimon exit the area.
"Nice reading there, Neemon." Tommy called out over the noise.
Neemon, who was climbing the table, turned his head and gasped. "Guys!" He hopped down and ran over to them, giving them each a hug. "It's so awesome to see you!" he grinned but then pouted. "Aww...you didn't bring me a souvenir from the Human World."
Zoe chuckled. "Sorry, Neemon."
Neemon looked behind them and noticed new faces. "Who're they?"
"We're the Digidestined." said Davis and yet again, introductions were made.
Calumon flew down to Neemon's level and he cocked his head. "What were you reading, Neemon?"
"I was reading Bokomon's book: 'The Adventures of the Legendary Warriors'." said Neemon and held out the red-covered book. Everyone leaned in nearer as they observed the Legendary symbols on its cover.
"so you actually did publish it." said Takuya proudly.
Bokomon blushed and nodded. "Yes, I did. I mean, you children did make a huge difference to our world. So I believed that the Digimon should at least get to know their heroes better through my book."
A wave of alarm hit Amy and Calumon, making them both turn towards the ocean.
Amy narrowed her eyes and gently pushed her way through. "Guys..."
"What is it, Amy?" asked Gomamon.
Amy cocked her head as she quietly observed the ocean waves, the shore filled with playing Digimon. "There's something in the water."
"Really?" Stephanie jumped over the rail and walked towards the water. She squinted her eyes as well. Nothing out of the normal. But then her eyes widened when she saw an abnormal wave begin to form. How did she know? She had no idea. But she did know that the Digimon swimming were not safe.
"GET OUT OF THE WATER!" yelled Stephanie suddenly and she ran towards the ocean, startling them. Kouji, Amy, Takuya, Matt, Gomamon, Tai and Agumon started to follow her.
"What's up with her?" yelled Agumon as he ran.
"I don't know but it can't be good!" said Takuya.
Far ahead of them, Stephanie stopped as soon as her feet touched the ocean and began to wave at the Digimon in the water. "GET OUT! GET OUT OF THERE!"
As they ran, Kouji gasped when he finally saw the wave Stephanie saw a few moments ago. The huge wave was coming right at Toucanmon Paradise. "Tsunami?!"
The others, back at the picnic area, gasped when they saw what was occurring.
"Let's evacuate the Digimon!" commanded Davis and immediately, the remaining Warriors/Digidestined split up.
Chaos began to form as the Digimon started to understand what was going on. An alarm went off and everyone immidaitly stopped what they were doing and ran for safety in the forest.
"Come on, come on!" This way!" Lili called out as she sat on a large rock near the forest, pointing out the way.
Nova climbed up the rock along with Impmon. "Lili, we have to go too!"
Lili hesitated but nodded. "Fine." She slid down the rock and Nova carried her into the trees.
Meanwhile, the ones in the water made sure everyone was clear.
"Is that it?" asked Amy and Kouji nodded.
"Yeah, that's everybody!"
A muffling was heard by the blue-ette and that only meant to her one thing. Stephanie looked back towards the water and suddenly dove underwater.
"Stephanie!"
Stephanie kicked as hard as she could and her blue eyes then spotted a Kotemon drowning in the deeper part of the ocean.
'Shit!' She swam as fast as she could towards the Rookie and reached out a hand once nearby. Kotemon let himself get caught and Stephanie was in relief once she had him in her arms. She then turned and her heart filled with fear when she saw something terrible.
Yolei sat above Aquilamon's back as both flew above Toucanmon Paradise. She had just been ordered to make sure that no Digimon was left behind.
"See anyone that needs saving?" asked Aquilamon and Yolei shook her head.
"Nope. Let's go back to the others."
Aquilamon nodded and was about to turn but then an attack filled the air.
"Hand of Faith!"
A beam of energy almost knocked Yolei off, but Aquilamon dove and flew away. Yolei placed her hand over her heart and tried to calm her rapid breathing. "What the heck was that?!"
Aquilamon stopped flying and grimly looked ahead. "Yolei, look."
Yolei looked up and gasped.
A small army of flying Sombras/minions were neatly arranged in rows, facing them and all ready to kill.
Cody and Armadillomon ran as fast as they could towards Jp, who was carrying two Fresh Digimon towards the forest.
"Jp! Jp!" shouted the younger boy and Jp stopped walking. Cody pulled Jp towards a certain angle and what Jp saw was horrifying.
"Cody? Please tell me, you see a freakin' mob of bad guys coming our way too..."
Cody nodded and Jp gave the Fresh Digimon to him.
"Run to the forest with Lili, Nova, Kari and the others and stay there until it's safe."
"But Armadillomon and I can fight!" he protested.
Armadillomon nodded. "You need all the help you can get!"
"Cody, please!" Jp pleaded. "I don't want you to get hurt. This is too much!"
Although wanting to protest some more, Cody obeyed. "Let's go, Armadillomon."
When they left, Jp ran towards Takuya, who was still with the others looking for Stephanie. "Where're the others?!"
"They're making sure the buildings are empty." said Kouji. "Why?"
Jp pointed where Cody showed him. "There's an army, that's why!"
Tai and Takuya turned and faced where Jp pointed. Then they both shared looks and nodded.
"Guys, get ready for a fight." Tai said and held the Fortis Emblem in his hand.
In the forest, Nova set Lili down and looked around.
The evacuated Digimon were fearfully looking around for any signs of danger, holding hands and closing their eyes, wishing for their safety.
Kari, Tk, Gatomon and Patamon found them soon after.
"Is everyone okay?" asked Tk and Lili nodded.
"We're fine."
Plants crunching under their feet, Cody and Armadillomon ran towards them with some Fresh Digimon and some that followed them there. Cody tried to catch his breath as he let the baby Digimon go and he sat on his knees.
"Cody! What's wrong?" asked Patamon.
"There's...*pant pant*" Cody swallowed. "...an army."
Sharp gasps were heard and Nova shared alarmed looks with Impmon.
Bokomon, Neemon, Ken and Wormmon arrived soon after.
"We have to move deeper into the trees." said Ken. "There's a lot of them this time!"
"Where's Kouichi?" asked Lili and her response came when Kouichi came running.
"Let's go!" he said and everyone stood up on his order.
Kouichi lifted up Lili bridal-stlye and carefully made his way among the moving Digimon.
Everyone moved a bit further in the forest but to their horror, was stopped by about nine Sombras. All Champion.
Nova looked over the hoard of Digimon that was still with them, since most had gone off without them in the panic. He groaned silently when he noticed that most were Rookies and the Ultimates that they did have were...well...weak.
Perfect. Now what?
Guess what you guys? My cast is coming off in two weeks!
