Spoils of War: (strikeout)A Little Friendship(/strikeout) A Big Love
He overheard news of the Straw Hat Pirates in conversations between the prison guards and found himself missing them. Thus, he decided to escape the horrible prison with seastone bars through trickery using his unique and ever-wonderful Mane Mane Montage.
After successfully fleeing from the Marines, he set out to find the Straw Hat Pirates - they who had touched his gentle heart with the strength of their pure and innocent determination and willingness to do anything for their nakama. He especially wanted to see that boy - that boy who said those words that meant so much to someone like him.
"People are heart!"
It meant a lot to him, who was able to change his external appearances with a mere touch of his hand, for someone to say that people are beyond how they look on the outside, but are about what they truly are underneath. (He selectively 'forgot' the boy's actions running contrary to his words immediately after.)
And so, as he landed gracefully (on the tip of one toe) on the side of the Going Merry to the shocked and/or joyous exclamations of "BON-CHAN!"/ "MR. 2!", his mascara-lined eyes immediately sought the figure of the cook. Alas, the cook was nowhere to be seen on the deck. Thus, ignoring the little stab of hurt to his fragile heart from the navigator's terse question regarding the purpose of his visit, he turned his attention to the trio bounding up to where he stood, their rubbery Captain in the lead.
"DID EVERYONE MISS MEEE?"
"YEA!"
"I MISSED EVERYONE TOO YON!" He tried to bite back the tears that welled in his eyes, threatening to spill out. They spilt anyway.
The four began a reunion dance.
The commotion was probably what brought the cook out of his galley.
He heard the footsteps, the sharp sound of leather shoes on wooden planks. It was the boy! The boy who said those beeaauuutiful words! He turned his head and caught sight of those shoes; eyes travelled up the slim legs that hid such immense strength, legs which he was too familiar with from their intense duel at Arabasta, up to the casually slouching upper body that was clothed in a pinstripe dress shirt, jacket-less and with sleeves rolled to the elbows, and then past the peek-a-boo collarbone and the slender neck, up to his impassive face. Their eyes met and locked.
"What's that shitty transvestite doing here?" The cook spoke, breaking the connection.
He joyfully broke free from the dancing ring and leapt gracefully towards the cook, doing a natural, perfect split in the air.
"SAN-CHAN! YOU MISS ME! I LOVE YOU TOO YON!" Arms spread open, eyes fluttered close, lips puckered.
"'SAN-CHAN'?"
He remembered hearing the shouts followed by tickled laughter behind him, before his face met something hard and smooth.
When he opened his eyes again, the wind was whistling past his ears and the Going Merry was far far below...
