It took the large group the rest of that day to travel through the forest. At night, they set up camp as three of them at a time, were in charge to keep an eye out. And when morning arrived, they woke up to continue the trip back to the Celestial Castle, to present the Catalyst, to get Sora help and to tell Lady Ophanimon the terrible news.

As they walked, Takuya and Zoe both turned their heads to see poor Tai carrying Sora on his back. Tai's head was low and his body seemed to be wanting to collapse from weariness, but his grip on Sora was strong. Agumon and Biyomon stayed close by their partners.

"Poor Tai." whispered Zoe.

Takuya didn't say a word. Instead he walked towards Tai and caught his attention by placing a hand on his shoulder. "You look tired, Kamiya. Want me to carry her for you?" he offered but the older boy shook his head and rearranged his grip on Sora's legs. Her head rolled on his shoulder and Tai's heart sank even deeper.

"Thanks, Taki. But I got this." said Tai grimly and gave Takuya a small weak smile.

Takuya smiled back in return and went back with Zoe. Zoe's head hung after trying to smile at him but she didn't have the will to. She just couldn't believe that her very best friend was gone with no trace of where she could be.

"You okay, Zoey?"

Zoe's green eyes met with Takuya's chocolate brown ones and she shook her head. "No." Her voice trembled as she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. "I'm scared. For Amy, for Sora, us, the world, no, worlds...And I'm scared for me."

Takuya watched as she let her head drop again and without realizing it, his hand brushed by hers.

"It'll be okay, Z. I'll look over you."

Zoe's eyes widened as she watched his hand hesitate slightly before it entangled itself in hers.

'Oh. My. God. We're holding HANDS.'

'Oh my God, I'm holding her hand. 0-0'

The couple looked up and blushed scarlet when their eyes caught.

Zoe bit her lip as she pretended to observe the scenery as Takuya cleared his throat. But not once did their hands let go of each other.

'His hand...it's so...warm.' Zoe thought and blushed.

Behind them, Matt, Gabumon, Tommy, Tk, Patamon, Kari and Gatomon walked quietly. Tommy looked close to tears and every once in a while, he sniffed and wiped his nose.

Matt noticed and sighed, placing his arm around Tommy's shoulder. "Don't worry, T-boy. Amy'll be okay. She's a fighter and I'm pretty sure we'll find her soon."

Tommy shrugged and sniffed yet again.

Kari bit her lip as she heard the younger boy's sniffs. Her mind then flashed back to the last conversation she had with Amy.

"Kari, please understand. We can't work together like this if you don't trust my boyfriend or Nova. I think we should-"

Kari grimaced when she remembered slapping her. Now that she thought about it, she felt bad about it. She shouldn't have slapped her. Kari turned her head back and saw that Kouichi was devastated walking next to his twin and Nova. She stiffened when she saw Impmon walking on Nova's right side.

When she saw Impmon digivolve into Devimon, she felt as if she was going to hurl. To her, Devimon was one of the most vicious Digimon in the Digital World.

Kari sighed and turned her head back towards the front. Kouichi and Nova were still meant for darkness and nothing would change her mind.

The group traveled most of the day and to their relief, they exited the Forest Kingdom just before sundown and the Celestial Castle was in sight.

"I'm hungry." groaned Patamon and hugged her stomach. "Our stuff got lost didn't it?"

All of their backpacks, filled with food, water and other necessary things, went missing during the battle. Even the Healing Stones were lost, resulting in most of their cuts and bruises.

"We're almost there, you guys!" said Jp, a bit cheerfully.

Beside him, Bokomon and Neemon looked as they were going to collapse any second. After some convincing, both Digimon agreed to travel back to the Celestial Castle for safety.

Bokomon groaned as he kept on walking. "Thank goodness."

"I'm tired." moaned Neemon, whose ears were now drooping and his feet dragged.

Sighing, Davis grabbed Bokomon and started to carry him. Bokomon looked as if he was going to complain but Davis gave him a soft smile. "Don't worry about it."

Neemon was held by Joe and the group helped one another as they headed towards the castle.

Gennai, Seraphimon, Cherubimon and Opanimon saw the teens coming from inside so when the Digidestined and Warriors arrived at the front entrance, the front doors burst open as the four of them ran outside.

"Children!" Cherubimon cried out and took in their tired looks.

Calumon flew out towards them and grinned. "Hi, hi!"

"The Catalyst!" said Seraphimon. "Great job!"

Gennai's eyes widened when he saw the unconscious Sora on Tai's back. "Sora! What happened?"

Tai looked down at him with a dead look in his eye. "She's in a coma."

Ophanimon quickly scanned their faces for her daughter but her eyes filled when she didn't find her. "W-Where's Amy? Where' my girl?!" she shouted in panic.

A moment of silence filled the air as they all looked uncomfortably towards each other and it was Yolei who finally told her.

"Amy...Amy was kidnapped." Yolei paused as Ophanimon sharply gasped. "We don't know what happened."

"But we do know that Katashimon had something to do about it." said Tentomon.

Ophanimon shakingly pressed her hands towards her mouth and muffled sobs were heard from the Angel. Serpahimon and Cherubimon quickly ran over to her side as Ophanimon fell on her knees, crying in agony. "Oh my baby! My beautiful little girl! No, God, no!"

Kouichi, with silent tears appeared in front of Ophanimon and he bent down in front of her. Ophanimon looked up to see her daughter's boyfriend and she started to cry harder. Everyone watched as Kouichi wrapped his arms around her and both cried together.

Meanwhile, Gennai quickly ordered some Starmon to take Sora to the infirmary room, Biyomon, Tai and Agumon not far behind. And as for the rest of Digidestined and Warriors, they were lead inside to satisfy their needs.

Stephanie sat silently as everyone ate around her. She placed her fork down and pushed her plate of spaghetti away. Kouji, who was in front of her, stopped eating. "You done?"

Stephanie shook her head. "Not hungry." What she wanted was a guitar. She hadn't held one in days and being separated from one for so long made her feel strange. A Gotsumon servant walked by her chair and she called out to him. "Hey, wait!"

"Huh?" Gotsumon stopped and walked back. "Did you call me?"

Stephanie nodded and smiled shyly. "Do you guys happen to have a guitar?"

Gotsumon's eyes brightened. "Hang on a second."

Stephanie watched as he ran out of the dining room and after a few seconds, he came back with one. Stephanie's brightened as she held in in her arms. She strummed a few notes and smiled with closed eyes.

Without thinking, she started to play a song. (Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day)

Her voice caught everyone's attention, making them pause and enchanted by the blue-ette's voice.

Stephanie stopped playing and she looked up to meet her friends' eyes. She gave them a crooked smile as tears spilled.

Kouji looked next to him, at his brother, who didn't even bother to touch his food. "Kouichi."

Nothing.

"Kouichi, don't worry about her. She'll be fine. Amy can take care of herself."

Kouichi lifted up his head and stared at him. "Kouji. She was taken by Katashimon. We can't even come close to beating her when we fight with her."

"Well, whatever you're feeling now, it's what she felt when you were gone." said Neemon quietly.

"What?"

Tommy nodded shyly from the other end of the table."When you left her...she felt the same way."

"How?" asked Mimi, now interested. Well, everyone was interested.

"Amy was about to be destroyed with Kouichi when both of them worked together to stop Lucemon from killing the rest of us." said Takuya. He let his head rest on the back of his chair as he remembered the scene. "Kouichi kicked her put of them way and took the attack for himself."

Jp nodded and looked at Kouichi. "And when you gave your brother your spirits to use to beat him and was scanned, Amy literally shook the room we were in with her screams."

"If Amy got to see you again after you left her, I'm sure you'll get to see her again sooner or later." Wormmon said.

Kouichi shrugged and looked out the window, where the night had already taken place.

In the infirmary room, Tai sat next to Sora's bed, where she was connected to a machine. Tai held her hand and he stroked his thumb over her hand. His head was bowed down to see Agumon sleeping on the floor with an extra blanket he found.

Tai smiled as he noticed Biyomon shift next to Sora on the bed.

"Mr. Kamiya?"

Tai looked up to see a Terrimon servant hold out a blanket and a pillow. Tai took the items with a soft smile and with a nod, Terrimon walked away.

Tai bent down and placed the pillow between Agumon's head and the floor. Agumon's eyes fluttered open for a bit but he was too tired to stay awake. Wrapping the blanket around himself, Tai stood up a bit to kiss Sora on her cheek and went to sleep on his chair.

AQUA: yes, it's short. But I promise that it'll be the only short chapter in this fanfic.
