Situation: A pregnancy scare-Premature Labor
Place: The Cullens' House
Scene: Edward and Bella's Bedroom
Bella (writhing in pain, she lays on the bed curled up in a tight fetal position): OUCH..OUCH..OUCH
Edward (feels the babies move within Bella's stomach): Hold on
Carlisle (distraught, he storms into the room): Here I am
Edward (relieved): Its about time, doc
Carlisle: I apologize for the delay. I was taking care of a patient at the hospital.
Bella (begging Carlisle): Help me please
Carlisle (sticks a needle into Bella's stomach): This shot shall stop your labor
Bella (relaxed): I am feeling better already
Edward: What caused Bella's preterm labor?
Carlisle: Owen's demise prompted the twins' early arrival
Bella (choked up): I carry his spirit
Renesemee (runs into the room and Bella's arms): Mommy..
Bella: I am well, Rini
Edward: All is well for now
Time Period: An Alternative Universe
Scenario: What if Carlisle didn't help Bella? What if Bella gave birth to the twins at home?
Scene: Edward and Bella's bedroom
Bella (writhing in pain, she lays on the bed curled up in a tight fetal position): OUCH..OUCH..OUCH
Edward (feels the babies move within Bella's stomach): Hold on
Bella (nauseous, she runs to the bathroom to vomit in the toilet): Excuse me..
Edward (rubbing Bella's back): Everything will be alright
Bella (looking down, she discovers her pants are wet): My water just broke
Edward (panicky): The babies are coming!
Bella (unsteadily, she sits down in the bathtub): The babies won't wait for Carlisle. Please help me deliver them.
Action: Carefully, Edward takes off Bella's pants. Even more water, combined with blood this time around, gushes out. An uncontrollable urge to push takes over Bella. Edward assists and encourages Bella through the difficult birthing process. She loses consciousness briefly until Edward's bite revives her. They consider the life that they have created to be a miracle. Renesmee loves her sisters very deeply too.
