Listen Dad, and hear me out.
I hate the way you treat me.
Telling me to get out,
The bribing me with five bucks the next morning.
I can't stand it!
I guess I just don't need you anymore.
I've got friends, who are there for me,
Even if I'm not always real nice to them.
They're good to me, especially Soda.
He's my best friend.
Though I can't stand his tag-a-long of a kid brother.
But I guess I can't do anything about that.
Me and Soda, we do everything together,
Except for school, since he dropped out.
We work at the DX together,
Me part time and him full time.
We get a lot of customers there.
But whether it's 'cause I fix cars good,
Or maybe since he gets girls to come.
Either way, we get the job done real good.
So guess what, Dad?
I don't need you.
Soon as I'm out of school,
I'll be out of your life for good.
I don't need your bribes,
Don't need your threats.
If it wasn't for my friends,
I'd be gone from here.
