**Trigger Warning: panic attack **
"What's down there? She was in that room with the sphere. What's happened to Rose?" Jackie asked, tears welling in her eyes as she gazed at the Doctor and Rian.
"I don't know," the Doctor told her, irritation lacing his voice, but Rian could hear the worry as well.
"I'll find her. I brought you here, I'll get you both out. You and your daughter. Jackie, look at me. Look at me," the Doctor told the woman sincerely. "I promise you. I give you my word."
Rian nodded and stepped closer, grabbing his hand tightly as she looked at Jackie. "We both do."
"You will talk to your central world authority and order global surrender," one of the Cybermen instructed, approaching Yvonne who was standing in her office.
"Oh, do some research. We haven't got a central world authority," she sneered.
"You have now. I will speak on all global wavelengths," it responded. The Doctor reached into his suit and pulled out his 3D glasses and slipped them on. He looked around for a moment before taking them off and placing them back in his pocket.
"This broadcast is for humankind. Cybermen now occupy every landmass on this planet," it continued to speak. The Doctor's hand found Rian's again as they slowly made their way into Yvonne's office.
"But you need not fear. Cybermen will remove fear. Cybermen will remove sex and class and color and creed. You will become identical. You will become like us," it finished its speech, moving to look out the window beside the others.
Rian bit her lip as she watched flames and smoke rose into the air. Beside her, the Doctor had his arms crossed, staring darkly at the scene below.
"I ordered surrender," the Cyberman noted, and the Doctor glared harshly at it.
"They're not taking instructions. Don't you understand? You're on every street - you're in their homes. You've got their children," he snarled. "Of course they're gonna fight."
Somewhere behind her, Rian heard one of the Cybermen speaking. "Scans detect unknown technology active within the sphere chamber."
Rian swallowed roughly as she thought about the sphere again, trying her best to think back to the war. Before she worked for the war council, she had focused on the Milky Way and its history. But during the war, she focused mainly on one thing…
Rian took a ragged breath and she put the pieces together. Of course, the Sphere had seemed familiar, she had read about it in multiple different pieces of her research. But it had just been a myth, no one had proof that it was real.
A soft, gentle hand placed their hand on Rian's shoulder, startling her out of her trance. "Rian? What's wrong?"
"Daleks," she choked out, looking up at the Doctor, tears welling in her eyes at the realization.
"Doctor, it's the Daleks. That's why the Void ship was so familiar. I studied it," Rian spoke, the tears beginning to fall.
And Rose. Oh god, Rose was stuck down there with those god awful Daleks. They would kill her just like they killed her all those years ago.
"Rian, I need you to breath," the Doctor whispered, his hearts breaking at the obvious breakdown she was beginning to have. She nodded, taking in long, shaky breaths.
"Units open visual link," the Cyberman ordered, and the screen on Yvonne's laptop lit up to show what two of Cybermen were seeing. "Visual contact established."
The group waited with bated breath as the cyborgs continued walking, waiting to confirm who the other mysterious alien was. After a few moments of nothing, a Dalek turned the corner, coming face to face with the Cybermen.
She gasped in air, trying her hardest to block out the memories of Skaro, of the suicide mission the council had sent her on, of her dying in her parent's arms. She squeezed her eyes tightly, she knew now wasn't the time for this. But she couldn't help it.
The lights in the room felt like they were too bright, and it felt like her head was being shoved underwater. Jackie reached out and pulled the girl close, recognizing the telltale signs of a panic attack, while the Doctor approached the laptop.
Jackie kept her gaze glued to the screen, rubbing her hand up and down Rian's back as she watched the spat between the two aliens.
"Rian, you're having a panic attack. And I'm sorry we can't sit down and talk this through, but you're going to have to power through this. I'm so sorry, but I promise I'll help you later when Rose and the rest of the world is safe," the Doctor called out to her, regret flowing from him in waves. She latched onto his presence and tried her best to fight her panic.
"Identify yourselves," the Dalek spoke, haltingly.
"You will identify first," the Cybermen countered.
"State your identity," the Dalek repeated, and any other time, Rian would have laughed at the circle the aliens were going in.
"You will identify first," the Cybermen said, aggravating the Dalek
"Identify!" the Dalek exclaimed, moving its gunstick and arm around frantically.
"... illogical, you will modify," the cyborg declared, walking towards the Dalek.
"Daleks do not take orders," the Dalek spoke, pointing its gunstick at the Cybermen.
"You have identified as Daleks."
"Outline resembles the inferior species known as 'Cybermen'," the Dalek responded.
Jackie looked up at the Doctor overtop of Rian's head. "Rose said about the Daleks. She was terrified of them. What have they done to her, Doctor? Is she dead?"
Rian had felt as if the initial shock had worn off, but the reminder of what could happen to Rose hit her like a ton of bricks. She grit her teeth and breathed in harshly as she tried to not think, remember. She had to calm down, she couldn't help the Doctor and Rose if she continued like this.
"Rian, your phone," the Doctor called out to Rian, trying to distract her from her thoughts.
Even though her hands were shaking slightly, she reached into her skirt pocket and pulled out her phone.
"Now call Rose," he instructed, and she looked down slightly, typing in her passcode and quickly pushing the contact button for Rose.
"Oi, what are you doing?" Jackie hissed, looking down at the girl's hands in surprise. "What's that?"
"A phone," the Doctor muttered, watching as the call was answered by Rose. He gently took the phone from her hand as a rush of relief passed through her, knowing that Rose was okay. "She's answered, she's alive."
"Why haven't they killed her?" the Doctor muttered, and both Rian and Jackie glared at him.
"Well, don't complain!" Jackie hissed.
"They must need her for something," he noted, staring at the screen intently.
"We must protect the Genesis Ark," they heard the Dalek speak through the phone. Out the corner of his eye, the Doctor could see Rian stiffen, obviously recognizing the name.
"The Genesis Ark?" he asked, pulling out his 3D glasses once again. "What do you know about it?"
"I…I…" Rian stumbled over her words, thinking frantically about why the name sounded so familiar.
"Our species are similar, though your design is inelegant," the Cybermen responded to the Dalek as Rian desperately tried to remember.
They continued to watch the screen, listening through the phone as the Cybermen proposed an alliance to the Daleks. Rian bit her lip as the Dalek rejected it, and easily destroyed both Cybermen. The screen quickly went black at the loss of a visual.
The Cyberman turned towards the laptop, standing directly in front of it and placed its hand on the insignia on its chest in the process. "Open visual link."
"Oh god," Rian barely got out, the sight on the screen taking her breath away.
There were three Daleks, one strangely colored black and the others colored gold, surrounding what Rian recognized as the Genesis Ark. She wouldn't have recognized them if it weren't for the black Dalek, Dalek Sec, the leader of the Cult of Skaro.
"This is not war. This is pest control," Dalek Sec spoke.
"We have five million Cybermen. How many are you?" the Cyberman questioned.
"Four," Dalek Sec responded.
"You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?" asked the Cyberman.
"We would destroy the Cybermen with ONE Dalek. You are superior in only one respect," Dalek Sec explained.
"What is that?" it asked after a moment, and the Doctor began to pace around, unable to contain his nerves.
"You are better at dying. Raise communications barrier!" Dalek Sec cried, its voice almost hysterical.
The screen went dark again, and the Doctor lowered the phone as the call cut out. "Lost her."
The Cyberman turned away from the screen and walked out of Yvonne's office and toward the rows of waiting cyborgs. "Quarantine the Sphere Chamber. Start emergency upgrading. Begin with these personnel."
The Cybermen began marching towards the group, and Rian swallowed harshly as they grabbed Yvonne first. She took a step closer to the Doctor as she watched helplessly.
"No, you can't do this! We surrendered! We surrendered!" she cried, trying to wrestle her way out of its hold. Two more approached and grabbed Jackie and began to drag her away.
"The increased adrenaline in these two suggests they have vital Dalek information," one of the Cybermen spoke, moving in front of the two Time Lords as Jackie was led away.
"Stop them! I don't want to go!" Jackie cried, trying to tug herself out of the cyborgs' hold, glaring at the Doctor. "You promised me! You gave me your word!"
"Leave her alone!" Rian screamed, fighting against the metal arm holding her back.
"I'll think of something! We'll get you out!" he called out to Jackie desperately, looking around for some way to help.
They watched helplessly as most of the Cybermen marched out of the room, three staying to guard the machines against the wall and one to watch over them.
"You will give us vital Dalek information," the Cyberman said, turning towards the two Time Lords.
Neither of them responded, the Doctor gently tugged Rian toward the desk where they both took a seat, staring out the window at the horrific scene below.
"You are proof," the Cyberman told them as it marched towards them.
"Of what?" Rian asked quietly, her eyes flickering over to the Doctor. While his face looked calm and collected, she could see the pain and fear in his eyes, uncertain of what was going to happen.
"That emotions destroy you," it said, causing Rian to look down at her hands, knowing how right it was.
"Yeah, we are," the Doctor said bitterly, staring directly at the Cyberman while reaching out comfortingly to Rian, knowing how much this was truly affecting her.
But as he looked away, he felt the air shift slightly in the main room. Rian slowly looked up from her hands to stare at that spot, feeling the pull as well.
"Mind you, I quite like hope. Hope's a good emotion. And here it comes," he said, his expression lightening slightly as a small pop sounded, and six people dressed in all black appeared in front of the guards, guns in their hands.
The Doctor grabbed Rian's hand and yanked her down to the ground with him as he dove to the ground. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to his chest as the Cyberman left the office and approached the group.
One of the men aimed the gun and shot a beam of electricity at it. The beam being too much for the cyborg, and its head exploded, bits flying around the room, followed by smoke. Behind him, the rest of the group finished off the other three Cybermen in the same fashion.
"Doctor, good to see you again," the man said, reaching up and pulling his mask off his face. "You too, Victoria."
"Jake?" the Doctor exclaimed as he helped pull Rian up from her spot. They stared at the blond man in shock, neither having expected to see him ever again.
"The Cybermen came through from one world to another, and so did we," Jake explained, walking towards the Doctor and Rian, who both had similar frowns growing on their faces.
"Could today get any worse?" he asked, glancing at Rian as they moved to the other side of the room.
Rian grimaced, watching as Jake's crew stood up from their defensive position to await orders. "I don't see how honestly."
"Defend this room. Chrissie, monitor communications," Jake ordered, looking at each member of the crew as he spoke. Beside her, the Doctor pulled out his 3D glasses once again and stared at them, a look of horror growing on his face as he pulled them off.
"Kill one Cyber Leader and they just download into another. Move!" he commanded, and one by one, the crew ran out of the room, leaving just the three of them.
"You can't just... just… just hop from one world to another. You can't," the Doctor stressed, looking at Jake as if he were impossible.
"We just did. With these," Jake said, tossing the Doctor a large yellow button that was attached to an equally large chain. Rian moved closer to the Doctor to inspect the device in his hands.
"But that's impossible. You can't have this sort of technology," Rian said appallingly as the Doctor rotated it in his hand.
"We've got our own version of Torchwood. They developed it. Do you wanna come and see?" he asked. Rian and the Doctor stared in horror as he reached down and pressed the button.
"Doctor!" she cried, watching in horror as the two men were swept away with a snap. "Oh god."
There were multiple things running through Rian's head as they disappeared. Horror, fear, panic, Rian couldn't help it as her breathing became shallow. What little comfort she had before, calming her as she thought about the Daleks, had disappeared when the Doctor had been teleported away.
She moved back against the wall and slid down, her head resting back against as she struggled to take long, even breathes. 'They'd be back soon,' she told herself. 'We'll make this right again soon.'

The Doctor looked around the room in horror as they appeared in an almost identical room, only now it was dark with wires strewn all about.
"Parallel Earth - parallel Torchwood. Except we found out what the institute was doing and the people's republic took control," Jake explained.
The Doctor glared at him ferociously. "I've gotta get back. Rose is in danger. And her mother. And Rian… if something's happened to her while we're away…" he snapped dangerously, missing the confused look in Jake's eye at the mention of Rian.
"That'd be Jackie," Pete Tyler said, announcing his presence as he entered the room, flocked by two men. "My wife in a parallel universe. And as for you, Doctor, at least this time I know who you are."
The Doctor stared at the man in shock before running over to him. "Right, yes, fine, hooray. But I've gotta get back. Right now."
"No, you're not in charge here. This is our world, not yours. And you're gonna listen for once," Pete told him calmly. The Doctor stared him down darkly, but remained silent.

Pete and Jake stared at the Doctor as he pressed his body against the white wall of the room. He placed his ear directly on it as well.
"When you left this world, you warned us there'd be more Cybermen. So we sealed them inside the factories," Pete revealed as Jake took a few steps closer to the two men.
"Except people argued. Said they were living. We should help them," Jake explained as the Doctor turned away from the wall, now leaning on it with his arms crossed.
"And the debate went on. But all that time, the Cybermen made plans. Infiltrated this version of Torchwood, mapped themselves onto your world, and then vanished," Pete continued as the Doctor listened carefully to them.
"When was this?" the Doctor asked.
"Three years ago," Pete told him, and the Doctor pushed himself off the wall, thinking as they walked back to the front of the room.
"It's taken them three years to cross the void, but we can pop to and fro in a second. Must be the sheer mass of five million Cybermen crossing all at once," the Doctor reasoned.
"Yeah, Mickey said you'd rattle off that sort of stuff," Pete remarked, and the Doctor looked over at him with a slight smile.
"Oh, where is the Mickey-boy?" he said, looking around the room as if he was hiding from him
"He went ahead first. Any chance to go and find Miss Rose Tyler," Pete told him, and the Doctor looked at him with a frown.
"She's your daughter. You do know that? Did Mickey explain?" he asked, but Pete shook his head.
"She's not mine. She's the child of a dead man," he said as they reached the window in Yvonne's office. "Look at it. A world of peace. They're calling this 'The Golden Age'."
"Who's the President now?" the Doctor asked, looking at him from the corner of his eye.
"A woman called Harriet Jones," Pete said, causing the Doctor's face to screw slightly as he thought about the woman.
"I'd watch out for her," he warned.
"But it's a lie. Temperatures have risen by two degrees in the past six months. The ice caps are melting. They're saying all this is gonna be flooded. That's not just global warming, is it?" Pete asked hesitantly, already knowing the answer.
"No," the Doctor shook his head.
"It's the breach," Pete confirmed, causing the frown to grow larger.
"I've been trying to tell you - travel between parallel worlds is impossible. Then the Daleks break down the walls with the sphere…" the Doctor trailed off, causing Pete to stare at him in confusion.
"Daleks?" he asked the Time Lord.
"Then the Cybermen travelled across, then you lot, those disks, every time you jump from one reality to another, you rip a hole in the universe. This planet is starting to boil. Keep going and both worlds will fall into the Void," the Doctor said, growing more aggravated the longer he spoke, and moved away from the window.
"But you can stop it - the famous Doctor...? You can seal the breach?" Pete said with a smirk, complete faith that he could fix it.
"Leaving five million Cybermen stranded on my Earth," he told Pete, staring him straight in the eyes.
"That's your problem. I'm protecting this world, and this world only," he told him, not bothered by the Doctor's words at all.
The Doctor stared at the red head for a moment before a small grin took over his face. "Hm... Pete Tyler... I knew you when you were dead. Now here you are, fighting the fight... alone… There is a chance... back on my world... Jackie Tyler might still be alive."
"My wife died," Pete responded immediately.
"Her husband died. Good match," the Doctor told him.
"There's more important things at stake," Pete told him, staring desperately at him. "Doctor... help us."
"What? Close the breach? Stop the Cybermen? Defeat the Daleks? Do you believe I can do that?" he asked, backing away from the man, a skeptical look passing over his face.
With a grin, Pete nodded. "Yes."
"Maybe that's all I need," he told the man, a wide grin replacing his uncertainty. "Off we go, then!"
The Doctor pulled the device from his pocket, and Jake pressed his button, causing them all to be swept away from the parallel Torchwood.
As soon as they landed, the Doctor let out a huff as a pair of strong arms found their way around his shoulders. He gently grabbed her hips to steady her, his eyes closing with relief, glad to know that she was okay.
"Thank god, you're okay," she whispered, her grip growing tighter as he tried his best to calm and reassure her. He pulled back just enough to kiss her briefly, knowing they didn't have time to spare.
He pulled away quickly and ran into Yvonne's office, reaching for her phone. "Okay, now I need to make a phone call. You don't mind?"
Jake nodded to the man and woman dressed in black that were standing beside them. "You two, guard the door."
Rian stood by the entrance next to Pete and Jake as the Doctor called Jackie to find out where she was.
She bit her lip gently as she watched with worry as he spoke to the older woman, hearing just enough to know that she was running down a large flight of stairs.
"Jacqueline Andrea Suzette Tyler," the Doctor mentioned as he placed the phone back into the receiver, staring directly at Pete.
"She's not my wife," Pete insisted, but the Doctor's face stayed impassive.
"I was at the wedding. You got her name wrong," he told the man, an eyebrow raising somewhat accusingly before moving towards Jake as Rian searched the office for a stick.
"Now then, Jake-y boy, if I can open up the bonding chamber on this thing, it could work on polycarbide," the Doctor explained, grabbing the gun out of Jake's hands.
"What's polycarbide?" he questioned, causing both the Doctor and Rian to stare at him intently.
"Skin of a Dalek."

Rian stood behind the Doctor ridgedly, biting her lip as he waved a makeshift white flag for the three Cybermen standing around the corner to see.
"Sorry," the Doctor said, popping his head around the corner, not very sorry at all. "No white flag. I only had a sheet of A4. Same difference."
Rian leaned around the corner as the Doctor approached the cyborgs, a frown on his face. The Cybermen raised their arms, preparing to shoot when needed. "Do you surrender?"
"I surrender. Unto you," Rian held her breath as the Doctor went nose to nose with one of the Cybermen, his frown quickly turning into a smile. "A very good idea."
- Page Break -
Rian winced as her lip began to sting, followed by the metallic taste of blood. She hadn't realized that she had continued to bite her lips, a new nervous habit it seemed.
She was walking alongside the Doctor, gripping his hand tightly as they made their way back to the Sphere Chamber where Rose was being held.
He squeezed her hand reassuringly, knowing that the thought of her best friend being locked in a room was doing nothing but making her panic even more. "We'll save her."
She glanced up at him, her lips quirking up slightly at the 3D glasses that were perched on his nose. "I know," Rian whispered, allowing his presence to keep her calm as they got closer and closer to the chamber.
In the distance, they could hear the monotonous voice of Dalek Sec loud and clear. Rian cast a look at the Doctor, frowning slightly as they heard Rose respond, still too far away to hear her words, but close enough to know she was taunting the aliens.
"Rose," Rian muttered, beginning to move quicker. If it meant saving Rose, and the world of course, she'd try her best to bury her fear and go against the wretched monsters.
"The Emperor survived?" Dalek Sec cried out, obviously surprised by the news.
"'Til he met me... 'cos if these are gonna be my last words, then you're gonna listen. I met the Emperor. And I took the Time Vortex and I pulled it into his head and turned him into dust. Do you get that? The God of all Daleks... and I destroyed him," Rian closed her eyes miserably as she listened to Rose taunt and goad the mutant alien.
As they walked through the door into the chamber, the Dalek cried out: "You will be EXTERMINATED!"
"Oh now, hold on, wait a minute," the Doctor called out as they walked deeper into the room, gaining everyone's attention. Rian allowed herself a moment to smile as she saw that Rose and Mickey were okay.
Rian went to look back at the Daleks when she realized that Mickey was there. She looked over at the pair quickly in shock, not having noticed him earlier while she was panicking.
Dalek Sec moved forward quickly, the lights on its head flashing as it spoke. "Alert, alert - you are the Doctor"
"Sensors report he is unarmed," Dalek Thay announced, having scanned the Doctor as they entered.
"That's me. Always," he confirmed lightly as they approached, flashing the Rose and Mickey a smile.
"Then you are powerless," Dalek Sec responded, but the Doctor shook his head.
"Not me. Never," he told the black Dalek, taking the 3D glasses off his face as well, before turning to look at Rose. "How are you?"
Rose grinned widely at him, relaxing slightly now that she knew he was there. "Oh, same old, you know."
"Good! And Mickity-McMickey!" the Doctor exclaimed, grinning at the man. He held out his hand so they could fist bump. "Nice to see ya!"
"And you, boss," Mickey grinned before turning to the red head, his smiling growing wider in the process. "Victoria, it's good to see you."
"It's good to see you too, Mickey. But… I go by the Historian now," she told him, looking at the Daleks out the corner of her eye to see their reaction.
The Doctor had always been the more adventurous of the two, so it was reasonable for planets across all of time and space to know who he was, to have a reaction. But Rian, she had stayed on Gallifrey, and the only aliens would potentially know her name would be the Daleks, if they even remembered her in the first place.
"Social interaction will cease!" Dalek Jast exclaimed, cutting into the conversation. "Identify! Identify! You are the Historian!"
Rian swallowed harshly as the Doctor looked at her in surprise. He had been under the impression that there was no way any of his enemies knew who she was, and he was shocked to know that they knew who she was. But then again, she hadn't told him entirely what had happened on Skaro. She figured there was no better time than now to tell him the entire truth, so she projected her memories to him.
She hadn't lied when she said she had valuable data on Skaro that she had to retrieve, she just hadn't specified where and what kind. It had been early on in the war, and the war council hadn't wanted to risk someone important for the suicidal job.
Rian never hacked a computer in her life before they had assigned her to extracting the data core of a dying Dalek. She stumbled her way through the removal, it was botched, it was dangerous, but she kept going. And she had managed it, barely, but she had successfully removed the data core.
But the damage was done. She quickly found herself surrounded by dozens of Daleks, each of their gunsticks ready to fire. They should have killed her, but she was an exception: she could give them information about the Time Lords.
She never said a word, not willing to betray her planet. They decided to test their upgrades on her, never enough to kill her. Not physically at least, but mentally, it was a swift death.
Overtime, she found their weaknesses and plotted her escape, and when the opportunity arose, she ran as quickly as she could, all the pain they caused her quickly catching up.
"Samara," he spoke so quietly, she barely heard his voice inside her head.
She shook her head, the fear in her eyes turning colder as she tried to focus on her anger rather than fear. "Now's not the time, Theta."
To the side, Rose and Mickey could see something pass between the two Time Lords, but based on the looks on their faces, they didn't want to know.
"How did you survive the Time War?" Dalek Sec questioned, pulling the Doctor's heartbroken gaze back to it.
"By fighting. On the front line," the Doctor told it immediately.
'I ran. I ran so far away,' Rian thought to herself staring back at Dalek Sec.
"I was there at the fall of Arcadia. Someday I might even come to terms with that. But you lot - ran away!" he exclaimed, missing how Rian flinched as he stared at the Daleks.
"We had to survive," Dalek Sec replied.
"The last four Daleks in existence. So what's so special about you?" he asked, gazing around at them.
"Doctor, they've got names. And Daleks don't have names, do they? One of them said they-" Rose's whisper was cut off by Dalek Thay, Sec, Jast, then Caan.
"They're the Cult of Skaro," Rian explained, already having known their names. She despised them, everything they did. They weren't just Daleks, they were worse.
Beside her, the Doctor's eyes, widened as he recognized the name.
"Who are they?" Rose asked softly, she could tell how badly this was affecting Rian.
"A secret order. Above and beyond the Emperor himself. Their job was to imagine. Think as the enemy thinks. Even dared to have names. All to find new ways of killing," the Doctor practically spit, the idea like poison to his tongue. Rian flinched away, and again the Doctor didn't notice as he glanced over at Dalek Caan. But beside him, Rose and Mickey saw, seeing the hurt in her eyes at his words.
Mickey looked at the ground regretfully, knowing that whatever it was has to wait. He quickly turned and pointed to the Genesis Ark. "But that thing, they said it was yours. I mean, Time Lords. They built it. What does it do?"
"I don't know. Never seen it before," the Doctor told him, staring at the device curiously.
"But it's... Time Lord," Rose said, and Rian nodded lightly. Just by looking at the device, the design of it was so obviously Time Lord.
"Both sides had secrets," he told her before looking back at the Daleks. "What is it? What have you done?"
"Time Lord science will restore Dalek supremacy," Dalek Sec explained.
"What does that mean? What sort of Time Lord science? What do you mean?" the Doctor asked, beginning to feel somewhat agitated that he didn't know what the device truly was.
"They said one touch from a time traveller will wake it up," Rose told them, relaying what she had been told earlier.
"Technology using the one thing a Dalek can't do," he whispered, moving forward to stare down the eyestalk of Dalek Sec. "Touch. Sealed inside your casing. Not feeling anything... ever... from birth to death, locked inside a cold metal cage. Completely alone. And that explains your voice. No wonder you scream."
"The Doctor will open the Ark!" Dalek Sec exclaimed, moving its arms wildly, but the Doctor stepped back, laughing mockingly.
"The Doctor will not!" he told it, shaking his head at the thought.
"The Historian will open the Ark!" Dalek Sec called out, and Rian glared harshly at it despite her fear.
"Absolutely not!" she sneered, but it moved closer towards her.
"Why not touch the creation…" it said, stopping right in front of Rian. "That was building based around the data you stole? Why not touch your creation?"
Rian took a step back as the realization hit her, almost as if she had been slapped in the face. Her rank was low security, only offering her access to the archives. She never knew what they did with her research and findings, and now she knew.
Over the years, she had heard names whispered here and there, most just a fleeting idea. But the Genesis Ark, she had heard it more times than she realized.
The Doctor stared at the redhead in shock, hurt that he had learned all of this today. He reached his hand out and placed it on Rian's shoulder and pulled her back slightly, just enough for him to take her place.
"You have no way of resisting," Dalek Sec said, turning its attention from Rian to the Doctor.
"Well... you got me there. Although... there is always this," the Doctor told the black Dalek, pulling out his sonic.
"A sonic probe?" it questioned, staring at it intently.
"That's 'screwdriver'," the Doctor corrected.
"It is harmless," Dalek Sec sneered.
"Oh yes. Harmless is just the word. That's why I like it. Doesn't kill, doesn't wound, doesn't maim. But I'll tell you what it does do - it is very good at opening doors," he grinned slightly before pointing the sonic at the door, causing the door to explode.
The Doctor launched himself at Rian and pulled her to the ground to avoid her getting her by a stray beam. "Rose, get out!"
Rose picked herself off the floor and tried her best to make it to the doors where Jake's men were standing. But as she got closer, she tripped, falling towards the ground. Pete Tyler rushed to help her up, obviously surprising Rose as she stared at her dead father.
The Doctor pulled Rian up and they raced towards the others, Rian turning around and shouting for Mickey in the process. He had picked up one of the guns and was firing it at whatever he could hit .
"Mickey, come on!" Rose called out, standing helplessly in the doorway as Mickey avoided a blast.
"Adapt to weaponry," Dalek Thay announced.
"Fire power restored!" Dalek Sec rejoiced, immediately shooting at one of the Cybermen.
Rian watched in horror as Mickey stumbled his way through the chaos, his hand falling onto the Ark to stabilize himself. He winced, but ran towards the others as quickly as he could.
As soon as Mickey ran through the doors, the Doctor pulled his sonic out of his pocket and held it to the control panel, sealing the door. "Jake, check the stairwell. The rest of you, come on!"
The Doctor grabbed Rian's hand and pulled her along as they ran back towards the factory floor where the weapons and equipment were being held.
"I just fell, I didn't mean it!" Mickey insisted, staring at his now slightly burnt hand.
"Mickey, without us, they'd have opened it by force. To do that, they'd have blown up the sun. You've done us a favour!" the Doctor reassured, letting go of Rian's hand to grip Mickey's head, kissing his forehead. "Now, run!"
"Is that… Jackie?" Pete asked worriedly, looking down the corridor to see the blonde woman running around a corner and almost directly into two Cybermen. He snatched the gun out of Mickey's hand and aimed it at the cyborgs' backs.
"You will be upgraded," they spoke to the woman, causing her to coware away.
"No, but you can't! Please-" she whimpered, closing her eyes as she anticipated her death.
But it never came, as Pete fired bolts of energy at the Cybermen, causing them to fall to the ground. A large cloud of smoke rose up from the dead bodies, making it hard to see Jackie.
"Pete!" she exclaimed, slowly stepping over the cyborgs.
"Hello, Jacks," he nodded at her with a small grin.
"I said there were ghosts, but that's not fair. Why him?" she questioned, almost mournful as she stared at a version of her dead husband.
"I'm not a ghost," he said softly as the Doctor's hand found Rian's gripping it gently.
"But you're dead. You died twenty years ago, Pete," Jackie stated, taking a step forward.
"It's Pete from a different Universe. There are parallel worlds, Jackie. Every single decision we make creates a parallel existence, a different dimension where-" the Doctor was cut off, having tried to explain what exactly was happening.
"Oh, you can shut up," Jackie snapped at him gently, not taking her eyes off of Pete.
As they watched the reunion in front of them, Rian couldn't help but smile lightly up at the Doctor. She understood their shock and disbelief, having felt it barely a month ago. She could see it in Jackie's eyes, the love and care she still felt for Peter Alan Tyler.
"I'm glad I found you again," he whispered, squeezing her hand as Jackie threw her arms around Pete's neck.
"And I you," she grinned softly, allowing herself a moment to not worry about the impending danger they were about to put themselves in.

Rian slipped her arm around Rose's as they peered through a crack in the door as the Doctor waited for the right moment to run into the room.
"The crate is straight ahead, and there are two magnaclamps," she told him, biting her lip as lasers and bullets flew through the air.
He nodded once, looking around once more before throwing himself out the door, falling to the ground almost immediately, almost landing on top of a fallen Cyberman.
The Doctor quickly got back up and scurried over to the crate, staying low as he waited for Rian to give him the all clear. As she nodded, he quickly reached up and grabbed the two clamps.
As he ran back to the door, his foot caught the head of the dead Cyberman, causing him to lose his balance. "Gah, bloody Cyberman."
"Come on, please," Rose muttered beside Rian, watching fearfully as the Doctor picked himself up, grabbing the magnaclamps in the process, and running back to the door. She pulled the door open slightly, giving him just enough room to squeeze through it.
The Doctor sat the clamps on the ground and reached into his pocket for his 3D glasses. After placing them on his face, he pulled the door and poked his head through, Rian and Rose doing the same.
"Override roof mechanism," Dalek Sec ordered. It took a moment, but the roof began to open slowly. "El-ev-ate."
"What're they doing? Why'd they need to get outside?" Rose asked, looking over at the Doctor.
"Time Lord science… what Time Lord science?" he said, completely baffled, causing Rian to shake her head softly, almost sadly.
"Doctor… think about your pockets, think about the TARDIS. They're all-"
"-Bigger on the inside," he exclaimed quietly, smacking his palm against his forehead.
"Come on, we need to get a better view," the Doctor said, retreating back and standing up. They stood up and began running down the corridor. "Gotta get to the top floor."
"The Ark, if I'm remembering correctly, because let me remind you that I wasn't actually involved in making it and it was very hush-hush and I only ever heard rumors and-" Rian began to spew while running, but was cut off by the Doctor.
"Rian, please, we don't have time. What is it?"
"It's a prison, holding hundreds, thousands, even millions of Daleks," she told them, not noticing the surprised looks that crossed everyone's face, except the Doctor's.
"Oh, of course," he said softly, catching her eye as they continued running.
"I'm sorry I didn't realize it sooner," she apologized, looking away as they began to reach the end of the corridor.
"Wait, the top floor is forty-five floors up! Believe me, I've done 'em all," Jackie exclaimed.
Behind them, the doors to the lift opened to reveal Jake, who smiled at their backs. "We could always take the lift…"
- Page Break -
As soon as the doors to the lifts opened, the whole group ran to the window in Yvonne's office, the Doctor, Rian, and Rose in the front.
Although they knew what was happening, they couldn't help but watch in horror as one by one, Daleks began flying out of the spinning device.
Pete shook his head, backing away from the group. "I'm sorry, but you've had it. This world's gonna crash and burn. There's nothing we can do. We're going home. Jacks, take this."
He reached into the pocket of one of Jake's soldiers and pulled out one of the yellow buttons and tossed it to her.
Jackie stared at the device in her hand. "But they're destroying the City!"
"I'd forgotten you could argue," he said, a grin in his voice, as he stared at her affectionately. He pulled the button from her hands and placed it around her neck. "It's not just London, it's the whole world."
"But there's another world, just waiting for you, Jacks," Pete said, grabbing her face gently. "And it's safe. As long as the Doctor closes the breach. Doctor? Rian?"
They all looked over at the Time Lords to see the Doctor turn around with his 3D glasses on, a wide grin on his face. Beside him, Rian's lips were quirked up slightly at his excitement. "Oh, we're ready. We've got the equipment right here. Thank you, Torchwood!"
He pushed through the small group, Rian right beside him, running over to one of the computers. He began typing in a code, not looking up from his work as he spoke. "Slam it down and close off both universes."
"But we can't just leave. What about the Daleks? And the Cybermen?" Rose asked, talking over the computer as it announced that the systems were rebooting.
"They're part of the problem. And that makes them part of the solution. Oh yes!" he said, pointing at Rose.
"Well?! Isn't anyone gonna ask? What is it with the glasses?" he asked, looking around at everyone in the room as Rian grinned softly at his dorkish grin.
Rose couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. "What is it with the glasses?"
"I can SEE! That's what! 'Cos we've got two separate worlds, but in-between the two separate worlds, we've got the Void. That's where the Daleks were hiding. And the Cybermen travelled through the Void to get here! And you lot - one world to another, via the Void! Oh, I like that. Via the Void!" he yanked the glasses off his face and placed them on Rose's. "Look!"
"We've been through it. Do you see?" he asked, grabbing Rian's hand and pulling her. Rose grinned as she watched tiny particles move around the two Time Lords.
In the distance, the computer called out a three minute warning before the reboot.
"Void stuff," Rian explained, looking at Rose as their little dance came to a stop.
"Like um…" Rose snapped her fingers for a moment as she sought after the right word. "Background radiation!"
"Exactly!" Rian grinned as the Doctor pointed at her family standing behind her. "Look at the others. The only one who hasn't been through the Void - your mother," he said, pointing at Jackie. "First time she's looked normal in her life."
Jackie's face screwed up angrily as the three of them ran towards the other end of the room. "Oi!"
"The Daleks lived inside the Void. They're bristling with it. Cybermen - all of them. I just open the Void - end of verse. The Void stuff gets sucked back inside," he explained, spreading his arms out wide as he stared at the white wall. A few feet behind him, Rian was standing next to Rose as the blonde listened to his words intently.
"Pulling them all in!" Rose exclaimed, pointing at the Doctor.
"Pulling them all in!" he repeated with the same enthusiasm.
Rose grinned at Rian, looking at her expectantly. Once she noticed, Rian nudged her friend and called out the same words.
"Sorry... what's- what's the Void?" Mickey called out, gaining their attention.
"The dead space. Some people call it 'Hell'," he told him.
Pulling the yellow button over his head, he nodded at Jake. "So... you're sending the Daleks and Cybermen to Hell. Man, I told you he was good."
"But it's... like you said, we've ALL got Void stuff. Me too, 'cos we went to that parallel world," Rose said, staring at her hand through the 3D glasses, watching the tiny particles float around her fingers. "We're all contaminated. We'll get pulled in."
Rian's smile slowly dropped as she met the Doctor's glance, knowing it was time for them to enact their plan.
"That's why you've gotta go," he said softly, coming to stand in front of Rose. Behind them, the computer said the two minute warning.
"Back to Pete's world," he said solemnly before pointing at Pete with a smile. "Hey, we should call it that - 'Pete's World'."
Rose looked between the two, unable to speak as she processed what he was saying.
"I'm opening the Void, but only on this side. You'll be safe on that side," he told her, a deep frown settling on her face.
"And then you close it. For good?" Pete asked, and both Time Lords looked over at him.
"The breach itself is soaked in Void Stuff, in the end it'll close itself. And that's it. Kaput," he confirmed.
"While both of you stay on this side...?" Rose asked, seeming to have come to the realization.
"But you'll get pulled in," Mickey agreed, looking at the two, his face beginning to scrunch with worry. After a moment of silence, the Doctor ran into Yvonne's office and grabbed the two mangaclamps and brought one to Rian.
"That's why... I got these. We'll just have to hold on tight, we've been doing it all our lives," he explained, glancing over at Rian who nodded, reassuring both herself and him.
"I'm supposed to go?" Rose asked, looking at the two, tears beginning to well in her eyes. She couldn't leave them now, there was so much she still wanted to do with them.
Rian nodded slowly, beginning to fear the burn in her eyes at the thought of leaving her best friend behind.
"To another world, and then it gets sealed off?" Rose questioned, and the Doctor nodded this time.
"Forever?" she asked, watching as the two walked over to the computer, trying to avoid the conversation that was obviously hurting them. She began to laugh, thinking the idea was ridiculous.
"That's not gonna happen. I'm not leaving you two," she said, shaking her head.
"We haven't got time to argue, the plans works, we go in. You too. All of us," Pete snapped, causing Rose to turn and glare at him.
"No, I'm not leaving them!" she told them, causing Jackie to shake her head.
"I'm not going without her," Jackie said, turning to look up at Pete.
He rolled his eyes angrily. "Oh, my God. We're going."
Jackie gave him a dangerous look. "I've had twenty years without you, so button it. I'm not leaving her."
Rose whipped around to look at her mum. "You've got to!"
"Well, that's tough!" Jackie snapped, while Rose looked at her sadly.
"Reboot in one minute," the computer announced, causing Rian to look up at the Doctor.
She could see the tears shining in his eyes, and she nodded slowly at him, hearing his thoughts. "It's the right thing to do."
"I've had a life with you for nineteen years. But then I met the Doctor and Rian... all the things I've seen them do for me. For you. For all of us. For the whole... stupid planet and every planet out there. They do it alone, mum," Rose said, her voice cracking as she fought back tears as she stared at her mum.
Beside her, Rian watched as the Doctor reached into his pocket and pulled out the yellow button from earlier. He slowly approached Rose, trying his best to not alert the blonde of what they were planning.
Rian looked back at the group as they watched Rose tearfully try and convince them to leave her. She caught Mickey's eye, and she smiled sadly at him. When he smiled back, she mouthed to him: 'Goodbye Mickey, I'll miss you.'
Even as the Doctor got closer, Rose was oblivious. "But not anymore. 'Cos now they've got me," she said as he placed the device around her neck. "What're you-?"
Pete quickly slammed his hand on his device, and with a pop, everyone disappeared, leaving Rian and the Doctor alone in the room.
Rian gripped his hand tightly for a moment, both of them taking a moment to acknowledge the loss of their friend before getting back to work.
He tightly squeezed her hand as she ran to one of the computers against the wall and he ran into Yvonne's office to use her laptop.
They worked in silence, typing as quickly as possible, when a pop sound to the left of Rian. She looked up from the computer to see Rose standing there, looking at the device hanging on her neck.
"I think this is the on switch…" she grinned, looking over at Rian who was staring at her in horrified shock.
The Doctor ran out of Yvonne's office and grabbed her shoulder and looked her square in the eyes, obviously upset. "Once the breach collapses, that's it. You will never be able to see her again. Your own mother!"
"I made my choice a long time ago, and I'm never gonna leave you two," she said, looking over his shoulder at Rian.
"Rose, your family," Rian said softly, hoping the girl would understand the gravity of the situation.
"What can I do to help?" she asked as she turned her attention back to the Doctor, dead set on her choice.
Rian glanced down at the computer as it announced that the systems were entirely rebooted. The Doctor glanced at Rian, and she stepped back for Rose to work. "Those coordinates over there, set them all at six."
Rose nodded slightly and walked over to the computer, albeit somewhat slowly.
"And hurry up!" he snapped, as he walked back to Yvonne's office, Rian right on his heels.
"We've got Cybermen on the way up," Rose called out to the two, causing the Doctor to run and look over her shoulder, leaving Rian to continue typing away.
"How many floors down?" he asked, and Rose stared at it for a moment.
"Just one," she told him, staring at the screen worriedly.
- Page Break -
"Levers operational," the computer system announced, causing both the Doctor and Rian's faces to light up with grins.
"That's more like it, bit of a smile! The old team...!" Rose smiled as they left the office.
"The Golden Trio, the Three Stooges," the Doctor beamed at Rose, who looked between the two as if she were the happiest she could ever be.
"You're Moe," she grinned pointing at the Doctor, who mocked offense. "So which one of us is Curly?"
"Definitely you. Rian is one-hundred percent a Larry," he joked, causing them all to laugh.
As they walked out of the room, Rian and the Doctor each picked up one of the magnaclamps and ran to the front of the room, placing them on the wall.
Rian quickly ran over to the Doctor and kissed. "I'll see you when this is over."
As she ran back over, she threw her arms around Rose and pulled her tight. "And I'll see you when this is over."
"When it starts, just hold on tight. Shouldn't be too bad for us but the Daleks and the Cybermen are steeped in Void Stuff. Are you ready?" the Doctor called out as he and Rian ran over to their respecting levers.
"So are they," Rose called out as she stared out the window.
"Let's do it!" the Doctor said with a nod. Together, they both pushed the levers until they popped into place, followed by a confirmation from the computer.
After having run back to their clamps and grabbed on tightly, they shared one last look before the white light grew in the wall and the wind began to pick up.
The windows in Yvonne's office exploded, and the Daleks in the air began to get sucked up by the air.
"The breach is open! Into the Void! Ha!" the Doctor exclaimed, watching as they the monstrous aliens flew into the void.
However, the group's excitement was quickly cut short by the sound of sparks. "Offline."
"Hold on!" the Doctor called out, watching as the level fell out of place.
Before Rian could reach out for it, Rose was stretching her arm out as much as she could to reach it.
"Rose, be careful!" Rian cried out as Rose debated with herself. She looked over at the Time Lady for a moment before letting go of the clamp, barely managing to get a hold of the lever.
"Rose!" Rian watched in horror as Rose struggled to push the lever up, fighting against the wind.
"I've gotta get it upright!" she exclaimed, grunting as she pushed at the lever.
"Online and locked," the computer announced.
Rian let go of the clamp with one hand and reached out, trying her best to get Rose. She let out a pained moan as she her fingers grazed Rose's hand.
"Rose! Hold on!" he called out, looking between the two in horror, seeing both of them struggling to hold on.
"HOLD ON!" he cried out, feeling helpless as Rose's fingers slipped off the handle.
"ROSE!" Rian screamed, her hand still outstretched as her best friend got pulled towards the void. She could hear the Doctor yell, a horrible feeling tightening in her gut.
She fought back a sob as Rose flew away, only to choke on it as Pete appeared, catching her in the final moments. Rose glanced back at the Doctor with teary eyes as they disappeared back to Pete's world.
They stared at the spot that Rose had been mere seconds ago, barely able to comprehend that she was safe and in the parallel world.
The wind and pull began to die down as the void sucked itself in, closing it forever. As soon as the pull was gone, Rian let go and fell to the ground, a sob forcing its way out of her mouth.
The Doctor slowly walked to the wall and placed his hand on it for a moment, a sorrowful expression making its way onto his face.
He stood there for a moment, allowing himself a chance to mourn alone before walking back to Rian. He knelt down slowly and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her tightly to his chest.
She threw her arms around him and placed her head onto his shoulder, not caring that she was soaking his shoulder.
"I'm sorry I couldn't…" she told him, speaking in Gallifreyan, not having the heart to speak English. She couldn't save her best friend, she wasn't able to. As she thought back to Rose's terrified, resigned face, Rian couldn't help but cry harder, the guilt crushing her.
"I'm sorry," he told her, not blaming her in the slightest. There wasn't much she could have done, and she tried her hardest to save her. He closed his eyes, allowing the tears to fall as he reminded himself, and Rian, that she was safe with Jackie, Pete, and Mickey.
- Page Break -
Rian stood beside the Doctor, tear marks staining her cheeks, her eyes red, as he punched commands into the console.
"Do you think she'll hear it?" she asked quietly, watching the monitor sadly.
"Yeah, I think so," he nodded, moving to pull Rian into a tight hug as they waited for Rose. He placed his head on top of hers and slowly rubbed her back.
It wasn't long after that the console beeped, alerting them that Rose had made it, had found the signal they sent out. They let go of one another and looked around at where they were being projected.
"Where are you two?" Rose asked, looking between the two.
"Inside the TARDIS," Rian spoke softly, her voice wavering slightly.
"There's one tiny little gap in the universe left, just about to close. And it takes a lot of power to send this projection, We're in orbit around a supernova," he added, continuing to run his hand slowly up and down Rian's back to try and soothe her. He let out a small, watery laugh as he looked at the blood. "We're burning up a sun just to say goodbye."
"You both look like ghosts," Rose shook her head.
"Hold on…" he said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his sonic screwdriver. He pointed it back at the console for a moment before placing it back in his pocket.
They watched as Rose slowly walked towards them, her hand reached out. "Can I t-?"
"We're still just an image. No touch," he told her regretfully.
"Can't you come through properly?" she begged, and Rian shook her head slowly.
"We can't. If we do, two universes will collapse," she told her sadly, resting her head against the Doctor's shoulder.
"So?" Rose joked, causing them all to laugh slightly.
"Where are we? Where did the gap come out?" the Doctor asked after a moment as he and Rian looked around at the beach.
"We're in Norway," she told them.
"Norway," he nodded, although quite surprised. "Right.
"About fifty miles out of Bergen. It's called 'Dårlig Ulv Stranden'," she told them, causing Rian to stiffen.
"Dalek?" she croaked, but Rose shook her head.
"Dårl-IG. It's Norwegian for 'bad'," Rose corrected, causing the Doctor to raise his eyebrows curiously. "This translates as 'Bad Wolf Bay'."
The two shared a small laugh before sobering. "How long have we got?" Rose asked.
"About two minutes…" Rian answered tearfully.
"I can't think of what to say!" Rose laughed, although it almost turned into crying.
"You've still got Mr. Mickey, then?" the Doctor asked, causing Rose to nod.
"There's five of us now. Mum, dad, Mickey... and the baby," Rose told them hesitantly, causing them to stare at the blonde in shock.
"Rose?" Rian looked at her, the alarm obvious in her voice.
"It's mum. She's three months gone. More Tylers on the way," she told them with a small laugh.
"And what about you? Are you...?" the Doctor asked.
"Yeah, I'm- I'm back working in the shop," she told them, nodding awkwardly.
"Oh, good for you," the Doctor told her, causing Rose to laugh.
"Shut up. No, I'm not. There's still a Torchwood on this planet, it's open for business," she told them, a tear beginning to roll down her cheek. "I think I know a thing or two about aliens."
"Rose Tyler. Defender of the Earth," the Doctor said with a proud grin.
"My best friend," Rian told her, reaching up to wipe a tear that had fallen from her eye.
"You're dead, officially, back home. So many people died that day and you've gone missing. You're on a list of the dead," he told her, but this time she couldn't keep the tears at bay. "Living a life day after day. The one adventure we can never have."
"Am I ever gonna see you again?" she cried, looking between the two.
"You can't," Rian told her softly, feeling the Doctor squeeze her slightly.
"What're you gonna do?" Rose questioned, and the Doctor looked down at Rian.
"Oh, I've got Rian and the TARDIS. Same old life. Last of the Time Lords," he told her, and Rian nodded after a moment.
"On your own?" she asked, her voice breaking as she glanced at the heartbroken looks on their faces as they nodded slowly.
"I love you both," she choked out. "I love you so much. I'm going to miss you."
"Quite right, too," the Doctor said softly.
"Goodbye, Rose," Rian croaked, tears streaming down her face as she stared at the blonde.
The Doctor nodded beside her. "And I suppose... if it's one last chance to say it… Goodbye, Ros-"
The project of Rose faded away, leaving the two staring at the wall and coral y-beam. Rian felt the Doctor's arm tighten around her, and she found herself being pulled into the Doctor's arms. He rested his head on top of her, his tears falling from his face and into her hair.
He gripped her tightly as if she were going to disappear as well. He softly kissed the top of her head, appreciating the fact that Rian was still there with him.
But as he opened his eyes, he pulled away from Rian in shock. "What?" he cried.
Rian quickly turned around, her mouth falling open in shock as she took in the sight in front of her. Standing by the door of the TARDIS, was a woman with red hair, standing with her back to the Doctor and Rian, in a wedding dress.
She turned around quickly at the words and yelped in surprised. "What?"
"What?" Rian said, staring at the woman in shock.
"Who are you?" the woman asked, becoming agitated.
"How?" the Doctor asked, looking over at Rian, who was looking just as confused as he was.
"Where am I?" she asked, confused anger beginning to leak into her voice.
"What?!" the Doctor cried again, staring at the woman, completely dumbfounded.
"What the hell is this place!"
To be continued in... Love Grows
After 3 years of slowly making my way through season 2, I have finally done it! Thank you so much for sticking with this story as I grew as a writer, I really appreciate it. This story will definitely continue. I will be posting a more in-depth announcement for the next book in the series soon, where I will talk about posting plans and where I hope to see the story go, as well as any future plans I have.
For those wondering, I tried to use my own experience with panic attacks (I've only had a few) to describe what Rian was going through, so I hope it was realistic enough.
I am really sad to see Rose go, but I'm super excited to introduce Martha. I can see them being really good friends, and I feel like they'll have a very different kind of friendship than with Rose. When Victoria finally turned into the Historian, while Rose was her best friend, they were very sibling-like and they had a very high school friend relationship.
Big thank you to Maethoriel Artemis and Mish for proofing this for me :) I don't own Doctor Who, just Rian. Also, sorry this chapter came out a little late. The fourth was my mom's birthday, so I didn't get the chance to finish the chapter until the fifth.
Thank you for all the reviews, follows, favorites, and views, I really appreciate it. In case you're interested, I have a tumblr page historical-love-series where I will post updates (like if I'll be posting late), PMs, and anything Doctor Who.
I currently have a poll on my profile that I'd really appreciate everyone's feedback (it will only take a few seconds). Thank you!
To NicoleR85- I really hope you enjoyed this chapter! I feel like she wasn't as surprised by the AU people as most of her thoughts were on the Daleks, Rose, and the Doctor.
