Hi everyone!
It has been... a really long time.
I posted the last chapter of this story in August 2020 with the intention of having the next book in the series done by early 2021. Obviously, that didn't go to plan. My first year of college I was studying Molecular Biology, and that took up all of my free time. And then, I switched majors for this fall semester, and I had buttloads of more time. But I just wasn't feeling inspired by this story.
I have spent the past year rewriting this entire story, all 117k words. I hated that it was the first person for the majority and then changed to third person. I also wanted to allow new readers more descriptive, and to be completely honest, better writing. I'm honestly just glad I managed to get this done by the end of the year.
A real quick explanation of what I've changed: A small bit of Victoria's backstory, Ianto's involvement in the story, the PoV, detail, and a few other minor changes. I tried to keep Victoria as similar to how I originally wrote it, but changed it to fit my writing style and how I see her. However, I decided to keep Fear Hear-Doomsday as is. So, I really hope you enjoy these changes!
I'd like to be upfront about this now. I first published this story in 2017, and I didn't have a single outline or plan, which made writing this so much harder. I love the story, I really do, I just feel tired with Victoria for the time being. Soooo, the next time you hear from me, I'll be publishing a different Doctor Who series. Don't worry, Historical Love will continue eventually, but I have so much planned for my new series. The new series goes in a totally different direction, and I'm really proud of it so far. I've done a crap ton of planning, and am finally writing the chapters. It takes starts with 9, and it's a slow burn. Anyway, I hope to have the second book in Historical Love at least published by the end of 2022 or in early 2023.
So! I'd really like to thank all of you for sticking with this story for so long, and I hope you give this new and improved take on the story a chance! I'd love to hear all of your thoughts on how you like it. But really, thank you all for your support!
Ps: I'm going to be published a new story that has the original chapters of the story just in case anyone prefers that.
