Chapter 21
Days had gone by and it was now March 1st, Naomi, and Alisha's 1st birthday. Tory was taken to court on child abuse and with the help of Ben and his siblings, along with the many case files she had on her, the judge deemed her to unfit to raise Kendric and put her into a holding celling with a high bail, until her major trial could begin. Ben and his sister Amanda would be testifying about the abuse they went through when they lived with her. Kendric was put in Oichi's care temporarily until everything was straighten out. Tory showed her true colors in court, calling Oichi all sorts of names, claiming that her children had it out for her, and trying to make herself look like the victim. Her trial would begin at the end of March.
Oichi was in the spare room she made for Kendric. The walls were dark green and blue. There was a dresser, a small bookshelf, and a bed. Kendric was fast asleep and Oichi was picking out clothes for him to wear. Grimmjow was downstairs make food for the birthday girls who was still sleeping. Their party would be held at the zoo today around 11am. Oichi smiled as she grabbed a green dinosaur shirt and blue shorts, it would be hot outside today. She had went shopping the other day and picked out a few clothes from him. When she got a free moment, she would start making his clothes just like she did the twins.
Walking over to the bed she shook him a bit. "Kendric hunny. It's time to get up." Kendric eyes opened and he yawned. "Auntie…" "Good morning Ken. Come on so we can take a bath." She picked him up carefully. She was going on four months. In April she and Grimmjow were going to see the gender of the baby and then have a gender reveal party. She took Kendric to her room with his clothes and sat him on the bed. She walked into the bathroom and started the bath. "Have you been to the zoo before Kendric?" "Zoo?" "Yes, like lions and tigers and bears?" "Monkeys!" Oichi chuckled. "Those to. Do you like Monkeys." "Yes. Funny tails. Ooo Ahh!" Kendric says throwing his hands up. Oichi laughed, adding bubbles in the bath. She walked back to the bedroom. "Okay let's get those clothes off. It's bath time." She helped pull his clothes off and frowned at all the bruises on his body. Without clothes he looked skinnier than he should have.
Kendric slid off the bed and headed to the bathroom with Oichi in tow. He smiled looking at the bubbles. "Bubbles!" He rushed to get in the bath. Oichi giggled. "So cute." She sat down on a small stool and helped him in the tub. He giggled and started splashing the water gently and popping the bubbles. Oichi grabbed some shampoo that had a lingering orange smell to it. "Okay sweetheart, time to wash your hair. Ready?" Kendric nodded and held his hands out. She squeezed just a little bit in his hands. "Just like I showed you." She rubs and scratches her head. Kendric copies her getting his hair all soapy. "Good boy. You should always wash your hair when it gets dirty. When you get older you should wash it once every two weeks." Once his hair was soaped up. Oichi started to rinse his hair out. Then started to help him wash his body carefully.
Ever since Kendric had been staying with her she had learned that he was a very expressive boy. The first day he came Grayson had a fit remembering him from day care. It did not bother Kendric when Grayson tried to hit him. The twins on the other hand liked him the moment they saw him. When Grayson was not there, their attention was stolen by him most of the time.
He did not mind being alone, he loved picture books, and bubbles, and just now she learned that he loved monkeys. It pained Oichi to know that Tory treated him to roughly. Unohana set him up for a therapy session and doctor visits every three weeks to keep an eye on him. It wasn't like she didn't trust Oichi to take care of him, but it helped the courts view Oichi as a better option rather than sending Kendric to a home.
"All done." Kendric says. Oichi smiled as she grabbed a towel. He stood up and she wrapped it around him, picking him up and placing him on the bathmat. She dried him off and then his hair. "Mmm you smell like oranges now!" Kendric smiles. "Yummy?" "Oh yes, very yummy." She poked his tummy, making him giggle.
Once his clothes were on, they walked to the twin's room to see them both up and standing in their cribs waiting. "Good morning my little birthday girls!" Oichi says smiling brightly. The twins smiled. "Mama!" They yelled. "I'll get you two in second." She grabbed the baby monitor. "Earth to baby daddy? Are you there?" She waited until she heard a chuckle. "I take it the twins are up?" "Yup, can you come get Kendric so I can get them ready?" "Yeah, already coming up the stairs."
Oichi placed the monitor back down. Alisha looked down at Kendric. "Hi!" She says smiling. Kendric looked down, playing with his fingers. "Hi…" "Aw, you don't have to be shy Ken." Naomi frowned and shook the crib lock. "MAMA!" She yelled. "I hear you sweetie. Don't shake the lock." She walked over to the crib and removed her hands from the lock. "Don't be a bad girl today okay?"
Grimmjow walked in. "Who's a bad girl? You? Need a quick punishment?" Oichi laughs. "Not in front of the kids." Grimmjow picked up Kendric. "Yeah, yeah…that means yes in my ears. If you need me call for me. You don't need to clean them up by yourself." "Yes, I do! I have the perfect outfit for them, and you just throw them on with no preparations. You pick the cutest outfits for me but rather put our daughters in baggy clothes." "Well my bad for not caring about clothes." Oichi picked up Naomi. "Remember that when your daughters try to walk out the house in miniskirts and tub tops." Grimmjow frowned. "Don't joke like that…" Oichi shrugs and went to get Alisha. "Jess and Nel are going to be over soon. Everyone else will be meeting us at the zoo." Grimmjow sighs and nods. "Got it." He took Kendric downstairs. "Okay my cute twins! Let's get cleaned and dressed."
Downstairs, Grimmjow put Kendric in a booster chair. He grabbed a bag of dog food and went to feed Damien who was sitting and waiting at his bowl. Grimmjow was about to pour food in when Kendric called out. "I do it?" He looked to see Kendric with slightly sparkling eyes. Grimmjow chuckled. "You want to feed Damien?" Kendric nodded. Putting the dog food on the floor he walked over and took him out the chair and put him on the floor. "Puppy!" He grabbed the dog food and dragged it to the bowl. Damien wagged his tail waiting on his food. Kendric opens the bag and tips it over a bit pouring the food into the bowl, dropping a few on the floor. He frowned and pulled the bag up. "Made a mess…sorry…" Grimmjow bends down and rubs his head. "It's okay. Grayson does a worse job then you but look." He points at Damien who was eating his food happily. "You made him happy. Good job." Kendric smiled and pats Damien on the head. "Good boy!"
Upstairs, Oichi had quickly finished giving the girls their bath and had already finished dressing them. She was currently taking pictures of them while they were sitting on the bed. They were wearing a white one piece with a cute fairy sparkle skirts mix in different colors. They each had a bow in their hair that matched the fairy on their one piece that said, 'sweet one' It had fairy wings designs on the back. Their shoes were sitting on the dresser. "My babies are soooo cute! Look at mama sweeties!" The girls looked up at her and smiled making her scream internally. She snapped more pictures. "So adorable! I wish you can stay this way forever!" Alisha held her hands up. "Mama." Oichi giggled. "Ok, ok, I took enough. Let's get downstairs so your dad can enjoy your cuteness." She picks them up and grabs their shoes with her fingers. "Soon I won't be able to hold you like this…" Oichi felt a feeling of sadness wash over her.
Walking down the stairs tears ran down her cheeks as she thought about her babies growing up not needing her anymore. "G-Grim…" She says walking in the kitchen. Grimmjow was at the stove frying eggs. Kendric was already eating when he turned around. "Auntie sad…" He says. Grimmjow turned around and frowned to see Oichi in tears. He placed the food on low and walked over to her. "What's wrong babe?" He took the twins from her. "Nothing…it's just I won't be able to call my babies…babies anymore!" She started to cry. Grimmjow chuckled and placed the twins in their highchairs. He walked back over to her and held her. "Don't cry babe. You think this is the end of you having babies? We got one on the way and I do not plan to stop any time soon. You got that?" Oichi sniffs and nods. His kisses her on the lips deeply. She hums out and push into the kiss. Grimmjow smirked and backed off. "Careful, if you get me riled up…" The doorbell rings out making him sigh. "Can't say that was good timing. Go ahead and fix the girls some food." He walks by her but not before smacking her on the butt. She blushed. "N-Not in front of the kids!" Grimmjow chuckled and went to the door.
Oichi sighs out and dries her tears. "Freaking hormones." Kendric holds his hand up. "I feed puppy!" He points to Damien who was still eating. Oichi smiled and rubbed his cheek. "Good job honey." Kendric giggles and goes back to eating. She walked to the counter and started working on the girl's food. Normally they would be making a fuss, but they were starting at Kendric for whatever reason. It worried Oichi at first but it didn't make Kendric uncomfortable and it kept the girls settle until the food was ready. While she was getting their bowls, Grayson ran in with a blue beetle shirt and gray shorts and shoes. He also had a back pack that matched the scab that blue beetle wore on his back. "Auntie! Sissys!" He stopped and frowned to see Kendric. "YOU!" He yelled pointing at Kendric. He ran to the chair but was caught by Grimmjow. "Quit that." He says picking him up. Grayson pouted and crossed his arms. "No! He mean daddy! I beat him up now!" He screamed.
Kendric looked down as he ate. The twins frowned and started to get fussy. Oichi sighs and walks over to them with their food. "Don't get upset you two." She looked at Grayson. "Stop that right now Gray." "But..!" "No But's…there will be no screaming, no yelling, and you will not 'beat up' anyone or you will not be going to your sister's party. Understand?" Grayson frowned. "…ok…sorry…" Grimmjow shakes his head and walks around the table. He puts Grayson in the booster seat right in front of Kendric. Nnoitra walked in with Nel. She was wearing a light gray maternity dress and black flats. Her arm was under his as she wobbled to the table. "Ugh…I forget it gets a bit difficult to walk around by myself." Oichi smiled brightly. "Aw Nel! Look at you! You are making 8 months look sexy you know." Nel chuckled. "Sure I am." Nnoitra sat her down beside Grayson. "So, what's the plan?" She asked. "First, we eat, and I'll tell you everything when Jess gets here." The doorbell rings. "Speak of the devil." Nnoitra says fixing Nel a plate. "Be nice." Nel says.
Grimmjow went to the door. Oichi pushed Kendric's seat over a bit and sat a chair between him and sat down. She sighs out. "You could have just asked me to move the kid." Nnoitra says sitting a plate for Nel and Grayson down. "I would but I don't want to hear you complaining about me asking you to do something and his name is Kendric." Nnoitra rolled his eyes. "Whatever, all you have to do is ask princess. I'm not that bad…" "You are actually and while I thank you for watching your mouth around my children you still need to do a lot to even get in my good grace." Nnoitra frowned at her and then sighs. "Whatever…" Nel smiled and pats his hand. "I told you it wouldn't be easy. Just give her some time." Oichi chuckled and started to feed the twins.
Grimmjow walked in carrying a few gifts, behind him was Jess carrying the car seat that had Nova in it. She was frowning like she had just been woken up. Ulquiorra was behind her carrying the baby bag. "Oichi, we are here." Jess says smiling. "Hey, come on and take a seat." Jess sat the car seat down and picked Nova. She was wearing a red and pink ladybug outfit Oichi had made her. "She is just waking up. She was up all night playing with her dad." Grimmjow put the bags down by the door frame and went to join the others at the table. "Aw, that sounds so cute. I can't even see Ulquiorra smiling and laughing along with her." Jess giggles. "True and its not like he doesn't but she can see past his blank face just like me." Nel chuckles. "Well of course you would. You are nearly married to him. It would be strange if you didn't learn the trick behind that blank stare or you might be in trouble."
Naomi started banging on the highchair. Oichi smiled and feed her a spoon full of her food. "So pushy today." Alisha on the other hand was waiting for Grimmjow to feed her. "Wow, the twins truly do take after you both. Naomi got that hot temper from the idiot over here while Alisha got the calm and patient attitude from Oichi. I can't wait to see how they will grow." Nel says. Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "How his Kendric adjusting here?" Jess asked while Ulquiorra got her food ready. Oichi smiled and rubbed his head. "He is fitting in fine. The girls loved him the first day he got here." "Oh yeah? What about his siblings? Have they came to see him?" "No, I asked them to come to the zoo today so he can spend a little more time with them. Though I don't think his brother Lexton will be coming." Oichi frowned. Grimmjow also frowned. "Don't worry about that dip shit. If he tries anything, I'll kick his ass again."
Jess blinks. "What happened?" Oichi sighs. "He was just really rude…I've heard people talk bad about Grimmjow, but he crossed a line with me and I just kinda…well…he made me cry to be honest." Nel and Jess both glared. "He did what!?" They yelled at the same time, making the kids jump. Oichi held her hands up. "It's okay. Grimmjow handled it…I don't like him to be honest. I hope Ken doesn't rub off on him…Ben on the other hand is to adorable. He isn't that much older than us but he started calling me mom haha!" Nnoitra frowned. "Ugh, don't let that brat take advantage over you." "What do you mean?" Oichi asked. "That's the oldest son of that old man. You think he doesn't know how to play people like a fiddle. He must have some plan roaming around in that head of his." Ulquiorra nodded. "For once I agree. None of his children should be trusted…however…the girls and Kendric should be innocent from that." Oichi smiled. "Aw, yay! I'm glad you at least approve 3 out of 5 haha." Ulquiorra turned his head away slightly making Jess rub his shoulder.
"So now that we are all here, what is going on with the plans?" Nel asked. "Well first, everyone will be meeting at the zoo at 11. Once we get a good look of everything, Grim already reserved an area for the party. The staff will be setting it up while we are with the girls, so Nel, if you get tired you can head there and take a break." Nel pouted. "I'll be fine." Oichi chuckled. "The girls should tire themselves out right after and the party will be a success! I'm so excited!" Jess smiled brightly. "I cannot wait for Nova's first party. I have so many ideas already." Oichi's smile brighten. "I can't wait either I wonder if she's going to say mom or dad first." Jess rubbed Nova's belly. "I'm sure she will say daddy first. She is a daddy's girl after all." Oichi smiled and then got up. "Speaking of dad's…I need to go change clothes and Grimmjow needs to come with." "What for?" "You are not wearing that to the zoo." Grimmjow looked down at himself. "What is wrong with what I got on?" "Nothing but I already have an outfit for you to put on." "I can dress myself babe." Oichi started to frown. Grimmjow sighs. "Fine, fine…I'll change…jeez…" He gets up and heads up starts. "Jess can you watch the girls and Ken?" Jess nodded handing Nova to Ulquiorra. "You can move them to the living room if they get done eating." Naomi started to bang her hands on the chair. "Foo!" She yelled out. Jess smiled. "I'm coming sweetie. You are quite a glutton like your mama." Oichi pouted at that but headed up the stairs.
Once she got to the room, she saw Grimmjow taking his shirt off. She bit her lip as she closed the door. "Oichi why do I have to change? Really? It's not like the kids are going to remember what I was wearing?" Oichi locked the door. "Maybe…because they might get dirty?" Grimmjow turned around to ask what she meant until he saw lust building up in her eyes. He then smirked. "Ah…you sneaky vixen…" "Just a quickie? We are on a time schedule…" Oichi says rushing to him and slamming a kiss on his lips.
Ikkaku was sitting in the hospital beside Yumichika's bed. He was still unconscious from taking the explosion. Ikkaku sighs out as he looks at his friend. His body covered in healing bandages and connected to a breathing machine. They lost him once on the surgery table but, Uryu brought him back. He told Ikkaku and the others that Yumichika would be fine, but the healing process may bring him back to at least 89% of his former self. Ikkaku was irritated that Yumichika was in this spot in the first place. He cursed himself for not listening to him when this happened. Calling for backup was never his strong point and he would never consider it even if he needed it. He looked at Yumichika. "You idiot…why did you take the hit for me...you're always doing this. No matter what trouble I get into you are always there. I never asked for you to stick by me and you could have left anytime you want. Why the hell do you do it. I've done nothing to really deserve it." He sits back and sighs out loudly and deeply. "If you don't pull this, you are going to make Emma cry and then I'll have to kill you."
There was a knock on the door, and it opened. Rangiku and Renji walked in. "Hey Ikkaku, how is he?" She asked. "Still the same." Renji walked up to the bed. "We just spoke to Uryu. He said he should be up in a few days. He is going to freak at the burns on his body though. No mere spa treatment is going to clear that up." Ikkaku chuckled. "I can't wait to see his face." Rangiku sat on the couch next to Ikkaku and crossed her legs. "That idiot…you to Ikkaku. Not calling back up was a stupid call and it almost cost all of your lives." "I don't want to hear your lecture Ran…" He was smacked in the back of the head. He growled and glared at Rangiku ready to yell at her when he was stopped by her angry and sad look. "Why didn't you call for backup!" She suddenly snapped. Ikkaku looked down. "I didn't think we need it." "Yeah and because of your stupid decision you put other lives in danger." She got up, "Seriously Ikkaku we are not in the academy anymore! You cannot keep doing this! One day you or Yumichika are going to end up back in here or worse! Are you trying to leave Emma behind!?" "No! Look I know it was stupid but Tosen…" "No excuses! Your orders were to watch from the side and CALL IN anything you find! Instead you go up against Tosen who most likely already had spotted you and fell right into his trap!" Ikkaku bit his lip.
Renji rubbed his head. "I think he feels bad enough already." Rangiku signs and folds her arms under her breast. "I'm glad you are both okay…just…don't do it again Ikkaku. You must learn to trust others. Please…for the sake of the family you have and the friends you made…" Ikkaku frowns and leans back. "Fine…fine…I'll do better. I'm sorry." Rangiku smiles and pats his head making him growl. "So, what was your punishment you got?" Renji asked. "Desk duty. Luckily, I will be getting some over time so at least I get to bank on some money. Yumichika, whenever he wakes up will get some time off and then the same thing. We are both lucky that they didn't want to transfer us out or fired." "Got that right. I don't think you can find another job that would fit you." Renji says.
There was a door knock and Emma opened it. "Daddy!" She ran in the room wearing a short sleeve shirt orange shirt and a brown ruffled skirt and sandals. She jumped into his lap with a giggle. "Hi daddy!" Ikkaku smiled. "Hey Emma. Ready for the party?" "Yes! We are going to the zoo! Are you coming?" "No, you have fun with your…" Another smack was delivered to his head by Rangiku. Emma giggled. "Your father is going with you. He needs to get out of this place and enjoy his time with you and your mom." Emma smiled brightly. "Yeah! We gonna have so much fun!" Ikkaku sighs. "I guess so…" Renji chuckled. "Don't worry, I'll be there." They raised their eyebrow. "Why?" Renji frowned. "Because Rukia and Ichika is going…" "You sure Oichi even wanted you to come?" Ikkaku asked. Renji rolled his eyes. "Can you let this go already. What happened in the past should stay in the past. We already said our piece and she forgave me. How long are you guys going to hold this over my head? She's Ichika's Godmother for gosh sake."
Ikkaku gets up with Emma in his arm. "Mmmhh…whatever. Just try not to drool over her when we meet up." He walked to the other side of the bed. "Tell your uncle bye." Emma frowned. "Bye uncle…wake up please." Ikkaku holds her down to Yumichika's face and she kissed his cheek. They then headed to the hallway leaving with Mizuho who was holding gifts. Renji sighs out. "For peaks sake…am I never going to live this down? I made on mistake and it's like I'm paying for it every single day." Rangiku got up. "Just make sure you don't get bored of Rukia the way you did Oichi. Have fun at the party." She says leaving. Renji bit his lip and groans out of frustration.
Chad was over at Ichigo's with Bella and Elijah. They were in the middle of the floor playing with Kazui. Tatsuki was on her way over with Noah so they all could go to the zoo together. Orihime was wrapping the food up that she cooked and Ichigo was wrapping the rest of the gifts with Chad. "So, Oichi said you are interested in some one?" Chad freezes and looks at Ichigo who had a smirk on his face. "Come on spill. Who is the lucky chick?" Chad looks down at the gift. "I don't think you would approve." Ichigo chuckled. "What am I? Your father or something? I don't care who you date so long as she makes you happy idiot." Chad rubs his head. "…It's Mila…from the day care center?" Ichigo rubbed his chin. "Mila…Mila Rose? The chick that hangs around with Harribel and those other weird chicks?" Chad nods. Ichigo lets out a breath of relief. "Boy! I thought it was going to be one of the girls from our class! I would be worried then."
Chad gives him a confused look. "So…you aren't mad?" "Nah, at least you got the levelheaded one, I guess. So, when are you asking her out on a date?" "Ah…I haven't really thought about it…I don't want to force this on her. She might fell the same way." "Meh, just ask her. Tell her you want to talk about Elijah at the center and you want to talk it over with lunch." Orihime walks out. "Make sure you make it convincing." Chad looked slightly shocked at her. She giggled. "Word travels fast you know. Jess told me after Oichi told her. Of course, no one outside our little bubble knows. We are rooting for you." Chad smiles and looks at Elijah and Bella. "I think Mila would make a good role model for Bella and help Elijah break out his shell a little more. It makes me a little upset that I can't do anything for them…" Orihime walks up to him. "Oh Chad, you are doing your best and you are giving it your all. The fact that you are feeling that way means you care about your children very much. I agree that Mila may be a influence on them but make sure you raise them as well. Sometimes a good influence isn't all they need." They heard the doorbell. "That must be Tatsuki and Noah. Let's get ready to go everyone."
At the center, A meeting was taking place. Everyone but Oichi was there. Yamamoto was running a little late as well. This caused Mayuri to get pissed at this. "Why isn't that damn brat here!? Of all the meetings to miss she would miss this one!" He bangs his hand on the table. Toshiro rolled his eyes. "Why do must you always have an issue with her?" Mayuri eye's twitched. "She has yet to even prove herself that she deserves this spot. I will not accept that girl no matter what!" Soifon leans back in her chair. "I for one agree with him." They turned to her. "That girl is nothing but trouble. Look at who her parents are. You can't tell me you all trust her at the snap of a finger." Shinji chuckled. "Are you sure you aren't saying that because both Dante and Danni kicked your ass?" Soifon shot a glare at him. "What was that!" "No need to get mad about it. It's all in the records. You picked a fight with Danni because she was closer to Yoruichi and you lost in front of your men. You ended up getting in a fight with Dante because you caught him in a bad mood. You lost. L-O-S-T. I'm sure little Oichi could take you with some proper training. How would it feel to be beat by the entire family?" Soifon stood up and slammed her hand on the table. "You bastard. How about me and you fight, and I'll show you how good a really am!"
Shunsui chuckled. "Now, now let's all settle down. Oichi isn't even the topic of this meeting." "Then tell us what this meeting is about?" Kenpachi says annoyed. "If you haven't forgotten my men got blown up here! I need to be out there grabbing those bastards." "Leave the police work to those who do it." Toshiro says. "Do not forget that my officer was out there to…" Sajin says. "Yeah and he got off with a broken arm while mine were sent to hospitals beds." Kenpachi says. "Are you saying your men's lives are more important than mine or any others?" "My guys are the one putting up with the criminals that you all put away. So, hell yeah I do think my men's lives are more important." Sajin narrowed his eyes. "It is that type of foolish thinking that allow your men to think the way they do. Had Ikkaku called for assistance this would have never happened." Kenpachi smirked. "Sounds like you want to do something about it Sajin."
"Enough." They looked at Byakuya. "You are both acting like a bunch of children. It is the fact that Ikkaku did not follow order and he nearly cost lives. He is being punished for his actions and everyone is still alive. This meeting is not about that nor is it about Ms. Yamamoto. She isn't here today because it is her day off and her children's birthday." Shunsui nods. "Yup, that is true. She is taking them to the zoo today beside this meeting is not for her to hear since she is still brand new in this. There was no need to summon her to today's meeting." Jushiro smiles at everyone. "That is very well spoken. Oichi should not be thrown into private matters. It is obvious that a few of you do not trust her. Why ruin her day by bringing her in on this topic? Wouldn't you agree?" Soifon and Mayuri frowned but stayed silent.
The back door to the meeting room opened and Yamamoto walked out. "I see everyone is gathered. It is time for the meeting." He took a seat at the head of the table. "Before that I wish to inform you that division three leader has been decided. You may enter." He called out. The front door opened, and Shinji smirked at the person walking in. It was a man with short slick back, wavy blonde hair with a single lock falling into his face and purple eyes. He smiled looking around. "Good day everyone. My, I see few old faces and new ones." He looked at Oichi's empty chair. "Ah, looks like the newest member hasn't arrive yet?" "She will not be here for this meeting." Yamamoto says. "Everyone, this is Rojuro Otoribashi. He will be filling the position for division three." "Everyone you can just call me Rose. It would be easier you know." Shinji chuckled. "Welcome back Rose. Didn't think you would accept the spot." Rose walked to his seat. "It was a good benefit to have plus, I was running low on money to buy manga books. I was really looking forward to meeting this young lady."
"Moving on to the meeting, we are here to discuss the capturing of Aizen. We have all the evidence we need, the testimony of his former employers, and the warrants we need to seize everything within his hands." Everyone nodded in agreement. "With that said, the 2nd division, 10th division and 11th division will pull together and overcome Aizen's building with the 10th division leading the way. I will not be taking any chances of his tricks. We will overwhelm him with numbers and bring him down. It is time to bring this to an end." He slams his staff on the ground making the room shake. "This little game of his ends today! The operation will start today! I want him in cuffs and behind bars to you understand!?" "Yes sir!" They said. Toshiro, Soifon, and Kenpachi quickly got up and left to get prepared.
"Sir…if I might ask." Sajin asks. "Go on…" "Why division 11 and not mine. Surely I can be of some use out there." Yamamoto rubs his beard. "His division consists with former units from both 1st, 2nd, and 10th divisions. It is why I had them assign them to the prisons. They are a rowdy bunch but will provide enough manpower to back up the others. Your division is full of newcomers and is not set for battle. Even though you are. I will not risk their lives." Sajin looks down and nods. "I understand." "While they are getting ready Mayuri I want feeds of everything that goes on. I want no mistakes." Mayuri sighs out. "Very well…" He leaves without another word. "As for everyone else, lock down the center. No one gets in or out while this is going on. I will have division 9 deal with the tv outlook so that we can stop the press from leaking anything." Shinji raised his eyebrow. "Oh yeah? How are you going to do that without the division leader? Hisagi is off to keep her away from work today." "I have a temp who will fill in for right now. He agreed to do a sit in and he will work jointly with division 9 while both Oichi and Hisagi are gone. Once they return, I will personally fill them in on what's going on." Shinji rolled his eyes. "If it who I think it is, you know he is going to fight for Oichi's spot. Do you really want to put this on her right now?" "That is no concern of yours." Yamamoto says. "You each will have individual duties so be on the lookout for my words." Yamamoto got up. "That is all. This meeting is dismissed. You have your orders."
He left through the back door leaving the rest of them sitting at the table. Sajin looked at Shinji. "What was the headmaster talking about. Does he plan on replacing Oichi?" Shinji leans back in his chair. "Maybe? I don't know what the old man is thinking." He sighs. "Kensei Muguruma. The former captain of the 9th division." Shunsui frowned. "Ah yes, I remember him. That is a little troublesome. Little Oichi does not have a lot of experience like he does. She was going to get replace then he would be the one…I hope it doesn't come to that." Byakuya closed his eyes. "We will see once this is over."
At the zoo, Oichi and the other were walking to the entrance. She was pushing the girls in their stroller and was glowing with a smile on her face. Grimmjow was beside her holding the girl's bags, some gifts, and had both Grayson and Kendric sitting on his shoulders looking around. He had a calm aura around him. Behind them Jess and Ulquiorra were pushing Nova in her stroller. Nel and Nnoitra were walking beside her. "Hmmm…Grimmjow didn't throw any insults my way all the way from the house to here…and he is so calm. It's a bit scary." Jess says. Nel chuckled. "And Oichi is glowing oh so brightly like a Christmas tree. Using that little excuse to pop a quickie. So cheeky." The woman laughed a bit. Ulquiorra and Nnoitra glanced at each other before shrugging and walk along.
The girls were looking around with excitement. "Mama! Mama!" Naomi yelled. Oichi smiled. "Someone sounds excited. HeeHee." They saw the line and walked around it earning looks. They head to the express line since they had already brought their tickets and had a spot reserved for the party. "Mom why do they get to go in first?" A kid asked. "Hush now. Don't worry we will get in to…" Making their way to the gate Grimmjow held out the pass he bought for the group. He had informed everyone who was coming to make sure they gave his last name to get in." The young man checked the passes and nods. "Enjoy your time sir. We have your spot in the back waiting on you." "Thanks." Grimmjow says as they walked in. Grayson's eyes widen as he spotted cages. "Oooo! Daddy look!" He pointed. "We will get to go there soon Grayson. Let's get to the party area first." Kendric eyes were wide as he looked around. He saw a cotton candy stand. "Auntie?" He points to the stand. Oichi giggled. "We will come back for it. Promise." Kendric smiled and hums out. "Yummy."
"Sounds like he is more excited about the food then the animals." Grimmjow says. "Nothing wrong with that. It's cute." Oichi says. After a few minutes of walking they arrived at the party section for the girls. Grimmjow sat the boys down and sat the bags on the table. The party section was gated and near the pond where swans and ducks were. Oichi sighs out as she sat down on a bench. "Woo…that was a walk…" Naomi and Alisha were blabbing, waiting to get out. Nel sat down and sighs out rubbing her belly. "I think you were right about me moving around." Nel says. "I'm already tired out." Oichi giggled and rubbed her belly. She felt kicking. "Aw, she like me!" Nel chuckled. "Duh. I would be sad if she didn't like her God mom." "Alisha didn't like you." Grimmjow says taking the twins out their stroller. Nel pouted. "Shut up."
Jess beside Oichi and rubbed her own stomach and glanced at Nel's and Oichi's. 'I kinda want another baby…' She heard a small sneeze. Looking down she saw Nova yawning and rubbing her face. "HeeHee bless you." She took Nova out her stroller. "Love, I need something to clean her nose." Ulquiorra sat the bag down and started going through it. Grayson and Kendric were by the gates looking at the swans go by.
Some of the staff walked over with the decorations. Grimmjow handed Oichi the twins and walked over to them and started pointing out when he wanted them to go. While that was going on Florina and Hisagi walked in with gifts. "Oichi! We are here!" She says smiling brightly. Nel leans over to Oichi and Jess. "Looks like Oichi isn't the only sister who got in a quickie." Oichi blushed as Jess giggled. "F-Flo! Thanks for coming!" Oichi says getting up. She hugged her sister. "Of course, sis. I could never miss my nieces first birthday. She takes Naomi from her who giggled. "Hisagi you can sit the gifts on the table over there." He nodded and walked to the table. "Sooooo…how is everything?" Oichi asked. Florina blushed slightly. "Wonderful really. Every day is like…" Oichi whistles. "Every day huh. Sounds like me and Grimmjow a bit. You are going to popping out a little Hisagi in no time." She pokes her belly. Florina's face turned redder. "B-Babies! Nothing like that y-yet. I mean one day maybe but we are still using protection and stuff." Oichi chuckled. "Yeah but protection is never really full proof. I suggest getting an implant if you do not want kids yet. Izzy has one in her arm." Florina rubs her cheek. "You think so? Hmm…I'll talk to Hisagi about it." Oichi nodded.
Izzy and Yoshiro walked up with gifts. "Hey sis!" "Hey Izzy come here. Yoshiro go give the gifts to Hisagi." "Sure thing!" He says taking the gifts from Izzy. Walking over to her sisters she took Alisha from Oichi. "Happy birthday girls!" She snuggled her making her smile. "So what's up?" "Flo is thinking about getting an implant." Izzy smiles. "Cool. I mean it's a harmless process." She holds her arm. "It's right here and it doesn't hurt. Uryu can give you the most info about it. Mom made me get it when she learned I was sexually active." Oichi rolled her eyes. "It would have been nice to know you were active a few years before you told her." Izzy pouted. "I had one scare okay and that's why I went to mama." Oichi shakes her head. "Anyways, make sure you talk to Hisagi and talk about it. Having a kid is a big change. It opens a new floodgate to your life and suddenly all you want is the best for them." She rubs the twin's cheeks.
Florina smiled and looked over at Hisagi who was talking to Yoshiro. "Izzy do you think about having a baby?" "Ahaha…no…I got enough on my plate dealing with Yoshiro. I cannot take care of myself, him, and a baby. Did you know he did not even know how to do his own laundry? Ugh. He is so cute and clueless." The girls laughed making the twins smile.
In the middle of town, Jetter was sitting in a restaurant for an early brunch. Frank was standing beside him making the women blush. A waiter came up with Lexton and Tsukishima, holding two menus. "Sir, your guests have arrived." Jetter waved him away as Lexton and Tsukishima took a seat in front of him. "So, boy's, have you two had the chance to talk and get to know each other?" They nodded. "Good now I have a birthday party to attend to I assume you are going as well Lexton?" "No, my other siblings we be fine without me. I believe spotting what is rightfully ours is a much bigger subject then a party for Grim's kids." Jetter chuckled. "It's okay if you're scared of Grimmjow. It was his job to 'take care' of people. You should know that better than most." Lexton frowned and grabbed the menu. "I'll take some tea." The waiter nodded. "Just a glass of water for now." Tsukishima said. The waiter nodded again and walked off.
"Why don't we get down to the facts now. With us going into business together we need to put in some mutual understanding and respect. The first order of business is waiting until the little rivalry between the old man and Aizen settle down. I have heard from some sources that they are getting ready to finally move in and take him down. Once Aizen is fully removed from his power seat I will take care of what happens to the building and the area for now. I may have somethings for the old man that will prevent him from tearing it down, but it will involve one more person if not two." "Who will that be?" Lexton asked. "That is none of your concern."
Lexton frowned. "Not a very good way to started off this…partnership." Jetter chuckled. "All in due time. It is not like you have not meet them. It will just be some time before you can officially acknowledge their role. Moving on, the type of business you wanted? It cannot be the same as your father's. I'm sure you know that." Lexton nods. "Of course, my father ruled by fear and respect and back then I'm sure it would have work. However, with the way Aizen had everything something along the lines of what they do will not cut it. Just by my name alone would get it going but I need something to pull everyone in on my side." Jetter nods. "Right. Smart boy. What businesses do you have overseas?" "Like you don't know…" Lexton says with a sigh. Jetter chuckled. "I do but it's better to get this all out in the open." Lexton pushed his glasses up. "Very well…I have a few companies that produces advance technology that focus on digital streaming and…artificial intelligence." Jetter hid a smirk. "I hear you are doing big things there, but you are missing some big brain power."
Lexton nods. Tsukishima smiled. "I run only a few small one under Lord Jetter's grateful approval. Including one where we can make a better hope for the children that are getting left behind. They are becoming orphans and getting lost in the paperwork within the center. I was hoping to meet and talk to the woman Oichi you both know so very well. Her plans for this brand-new school is a delightful step in the right direction. I was hoping we could compare notes." He said smiling. Lexton frowned at that smile. "Let's get one thing straight…if I were you, I would stay far away from that woman." Tsukishima dropped his smile. "Oh? Why so?" "Because if you meet her and come with that sickening smile, you are likely to get yourself killed." Lexton says with a sigh. Tsukishima frowned. "Oh? I didn't take this lady to be a killer." Jetter chuckled. "It is not Oichi you should be worried about. I am sure you read the file of her fiancé. You do not think he would see what you are doing? We have talked about this Shima. That undertone of your real self can cause issues with others." Tsukishima gave him a soft smile. "You were the one who taught me to be my true self after you recused me. I only do what you have taught me so far."
"True, but you cannot allow everyone to see it in the open. It will push people away and it will destroy any future deals you want. Let's take Oichi as an example. She is a sweet child. She works hard for everything she has even when it got taken away. If you come with her with those ideas, she will love them and want to work with you. However, the girl, whether she knows it or not, has a knack for business. Try to overturn her in something she likes, and it would be the end of you and I am not talking about Grimmjow. Her father is an extremely dangerous man with more information on people then I have ever seen. Even I have issues getting things from him without a price. Should you want to deal with Oichi then take baby steps. That's all." "Working with that woman is a suicide…" Lexton says. Tsukishima let out a soft chuckle. "She seems remarkably interesting. I'd to meet with her soon."
Frank felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He takes it out and reads a message. "My Lord…it's a message from Ginjo. It looks like he has located your target and wants to know what you wish to do." Jetter crosses his legs and looks at Tsukishima. "You were right. He does fine work…" Tsukishima chuckles. "Ginjo has never failed before. In anything. I have complete trust in what he does. It is why I asked for you to bring him in on this with me." "Yes, and he has proven his worth. Tell Ginjo to send us the location. I'm sure it would make Danni happy and it will allow me to finally gain some ground with Dante." Frank eyes lit up slightly but quickly hid his excitement as he messaged on his phone. "Now back to the conversation, I have somewhere to be." Jetter says.
A tall, muscular man with sharp features, short light-gray and silver hair, and brown eyes, walked through the halls of the center of division 5. He was heading to Shinji's office. He has a scowl on his face and a very intimidating aura that made people move aside. Some women blushed at his manly looked but dare not say anything. He was wearing a Black t-shirt with a light white jacket, blue jeans, and brown boots.
Making his way to Shinji's man office he knocks on the door before it was open by Momo. She squeaked slightly at his size. "M-May I help you?" She asked. "Yeah, I need to speak with Shinji. Is he in here?" Momo nods and takes a step back, letting him in. Shinji was at his desk working on some paperwork, waiting to be called back into the meeting room to watch the assault on Aizen's building. "Sir? You have a guest." Momo says walking quickly to the side of his desk. Shinji looked up and let out a deep, deep, sigh. He then looked at the man and sigh some more until the man's eyes started to twitch.
"Would you cut that out!" He finally yelled. "What the hell are you sighing for!?" Shinji leans back into his chair. "My bad man. It's just…you put a damper on my spirts right now." "You ass…" Momo looks at Shinji. "Sir? Um…" "Ah right, this is Kensei. He is here to take our sweet Oichi's job." Momo's eyes widen and she let out a gasp. "W-What!?" She looks at Kensei who takes a seat. "N-No sir, that can't be! Oichi hasn't done anything wrong! She follows all the rules and make her weekly quote without fail! Why is she being replaced!?" Kensei frowned at her. Shinji reached up and pats Momo on the head. "I know Momo, calm down." She looks down sadly. "This can't be…she worked hard to get this job…" "Give us the room Momo." She nods and walks out the room, glancing at Kensei.
Once she was gone, Kensei let out a low growl. "Are you trying to make me public enemy number one?" "Yup, once Momo spreads this around to the second strings everyone but Oichi herself will know her job is being taken and once it does, your division will fall apart." "Should you be telling me your grand plan idiot." "Meh, why wait. How did you get wrapped up into all of this? Why are you taking prize on a defenseless girl who has done no wrong? You do realize she is carrying right and today is her twin daughter's first birthday. A milestone for a mother! Now she must come back and see all her hard work is going to be gone. For shame." "I didn't ask for this damn spot. I could have taken something else, but the old man wanted me here. He offered me a job and I took it. I did not know the job was fully taken in some sense." "That is a lie, and you know it. Why are you even back?"
"I was bored, and I wasn't making any money. I would have settle being a solider or something, but he offered me my old job and I said sure what the hell…" "Knowing it's going to replacing someone else?" "Why the hell should I care!? It's just some woman that happened to get lucky! What has she done for the division that I can't do myself?" Shinji groans out. "That isn't the major point here!" "There what is the point!" "You are replacing the only hot chick in this division status!" Shinji says slamming his hands on the table. Kensei glared at him. "What!?" "Come on! Have you seen her!?" "No, I haven't…" Kensei says crossing his arms."Oof! You do not know what you are missing! I mean if your old as dirt Unohana could be a type and then there is the short stack Soifon ugh…now I see why she could never get a man…but Oichi…she is an actual woman. She made that sausage feast in the meeting hall worth it and now…she's gone because you want money. You hurt my soul man…you really do."
Kensei groans. "Oh shut up. It's just a woman. One woman. There are plenty around here." Shinji slumps on the table. "None like her…she's a golden goose in her own way you know…one of my first loves you know…" "You say that to all the women. Does Hiyori know you are doing this?" "Of course, she does. She is somewhere in the world doing whatever she does with the money I send her. So long as she is far from me then I do not care what she is doing. What about Mashiro? Is she coming back on the job?" Kensei sighs. "I have no clue, I asked if she wanted to come back but with Hisagi in the 2nd tier and I didn't want to take that away from him." Shinji frowned. "That is such a hypocritical statement! You are here to replaced Oichi who is done a lot for the division!" "That is two different things!" "How so!?" "That woman has been on the job for what? Not long! She has done what? Made it about fashion? What has she done for the division that would help it leap passed everything else? Make it into the division it was when I oversaw it? That girl doesn't know how to run anything so of course the old man is going to want someone more experience. She is nothing more than a placeholder!"
Shinji puts his head on the desk. "Oh, you poor, poor, fool…you do not understand the battle you are getting in if you really think it's just about the job." Kensei raised his eyebrow. "I guess I can let you in on a secret, but only if you promise not to tell."
Around 10:30 everyone started to show up at the zoo. Danni came alone since Shushi was working. It did not make her happy, but she understood. She was texting him while she sat down and ate some snacks. She had gotten a message from Frank, but she did not open it yet. Orihime, Tatsuki, Karin, Yuzu, Riruka who was a surprise visit, and Mizuho was setting up the food and prepping everything. The men were getting a route ready for the zoo adventure.
Ikkaku was looking at a map. "I say we hit the monkey cages then swing down by tigers?" "What?" Ichigo says looking at his map. "You idiot that's all the way at the bottom, you want them to miss half of the animals?" Renji shook his head. "It's a straight shot. To be honest. We start with the monkeys head down toward the tigers and between there we can past all those birds?" An argument started to brew.
Rukia was shaking her head as she got Ichika ready. The other kids were with Grayson and Kendric by the gates. One of the workers were over there and she was letting them feed the ducks. "Mama hurry!" Ichika whines out. "Okay hunny. Go on." Ichika giggled and ran over to join the kids. Oichi walked over and looked at the men. "Still can't figure out a route?" "Nope…why did you leave them in charge of that?" "Well, Grimmjow is busy with getting the place ready, Hisagi is getting the gifts organized with Yoshiro's and Chad's help. Ulquiorra and Nnoitra are keeping an eye on the kids and the girls are prepping the food for after. I thought I would give them a simple task." Oichi says sighing. Rukia shook her head. "With those three…"
Oichi shrugs. "Don't worry between you and me the route is already made." "Really?" Oichi giggled. "You think Grimmjow would let us run around with our heads cut off? He already had a route made for the kids. Of course, you all are free to go wherever you want so long as you are back here around 4." Rukia smiles and nods. She rubs her hands together. "Thank you for letting us join you for the girls party…" "Your welcome. I didn't want Ichika to miss out on the fun." Oichi looked down at her belly. "Are you excited about having another child?" Oichi chuckled. "Yes, Gray keeps screaming out that he wants another sister. Grimmjow wants another daughter and I want a healthy baby." "Have you um…thought about Godparents?" "I have, Nel is going to the Godmother." Rukia frowns and looks away. "I see." "Maybe after our next child down the line, I'll make you the Godmother. Until then you are going to have to settle with being an auntie." Oichi walks over to Grimmjow who was going to Ichigo. Rukia sighs and walks over to the kids.
"What the hell are ya'll dumbass screaming at?" Grimmjow asked snatching the maps. "Hey, we are making a route for the kids!" Ikkaku yelled. "Screw that. You think I am letting you lead anything at my daughter's party? I got the route written out already. If you wanna take your kids elsewhere be my guess." They frowned at him. "Honey, let's not get angry." Oichi says walking up. "You three, he is right. Sorry but I just wanted you guys to look like you were doing something until everyone got here. Grim already had everything ready for us. Like he said, you are free to do what you like just be back by 4 so we can eat and open gifts."
Ichigo put his hands in his pocket. "Okay, what's the route?" Grimmjow grabbed Oichi's hand. "I'll tell everyone at one time, so I don't have to repeat myself." He led them by the adults. Nnoitra was handing Nel a small plate of food. Ulquiorra was rolling a larger frame of the map for everyone to see and places were marked. Ichigo and the others sat down right as Mikey, Ben, Shelia, and Amanda walked in with gift bags. "Don't start without us please!" Amanda says. Oichi stands up. "You two must be Amanda and Shelia. It is nice to meet you outside of the court room. Amanda smiled and rushed up to her hugging her. "Ah! W-watch the stomach please." Oichi says rubbing her back. "Oh! Sorry! I didn't mean to hurt your baby!" Amanda let her go. "I'm just so overjoyed that our brother is out from under that witch. Thank you so so so much! We brought gifts for your babies!" Oichi smiled and took them. "Thank you." She rubbed her belly. "Don't worry about the baby. Right now, he or she likes having contact with people." Amanda giggled and rubbed her belly. "Does it hurt?" "No not really. The bathroom breaks are a killer and my cravings are weird that it creeps some people out." Amanda smiled and blushed a bit. "I always dreamed of becoming a mom one day. I want to be a much better mom then…well her…" Oichi smiled and rubbed her head.
"One day you are going to get that chance. Not to soon though. Finish school. Figure out what you want to do with your future. Get to a place where you can stand on your own two feet and then decided if you want to be a mom. Trust me, it takes a lot of time and energy to be responsible for an innocent life." Oichi says. Amanda eyes sparkled and she took Oichi's hand. "I…I want to be a make up artist! I love it a-and I'll study really hard like Ben did and I'll be the best ever!" Oichi chuckled. "I'm rooting for you then. If you ever need anything, please ask me okay?" Amanda nodded.
"Kendric is right over there with the kids feeding the ducks. Please spend a lot of time with him. He still needs his big brothers and sisters." Amanda smiled and giggled as she went over to the kids.
Shelia walked up. "Hello Ms. Oichi. Like our sister said, thank you for taking care of our brother. I'm also sorry that Lex treated you rudely. He didn't want to come…" Oichi chuckled. "It's fine dear. Just enjoy yourself with your brother today and you are welcome to come by the house any time and see him or even stay a bit." Shelia smiled. "Thank you…I might take you up on that offer." She heads over to the kids.
Ben walked up. "Hey mom!" Oichi chuckled. "You can drop the joke now. I'd like for Grimmjow to enjoy the day with his daughters. Plus, people are going to get confused if you keep saying that. You are 23 and I am 27. A five- year difference here you know." Ben chuckled. "That is the fun part about it though but, just for you I'll put a pause on it for now. How has Kendric been?" "Fine, adjusting wonderfully. He is a sweet dumpling and I am learning more things about him every day. The girls love him and Grimmjow helps him with his learning games. Grayson still doesn't like him but I'm sure he will grow out of that. They looked over to the kids and saw Bella standing near Kendric with a slight blush on her face. "And maybe he might be getting a crush hit." She giggled. Ben smiled. "He is a looker. Thank you for the invite. I mean it."
Oichi laughs. "Don't worry about it. Thank you for trusting me with him. Now go see him." Ben smiles and walks off but not before passing by Riruka. She was in an argument with Izzy. "Can you and your boy toy stop kissing all over each other? I get enough of it at work!" "Well maybe if you get a boyfriend you can kiss all over him oh wait…you chased them all away!" Riruka growled. Yoshiro stood in the middle of them. "No fighting girls. It's your niece's birthday. Let us not fight in front of kids huh?" Izzy wrapped her arm around his and kissed him deeply making Riruka growl out. Izzy let him go and lick her lips. "Oh, I'm sorry…to much PDA?" "You little…" Ben walks over. "You guys sure are rowdy at a kid's party." "Who are you?" Yoshiro asked.
"I'm Ben, Kendric's older brother. I was invited to this party." "You're the guy that keeps calling Oichi 'Mom'. A real Weirdo." Izzy says. Ben chuckled. "Yeah, as you know my mother isn't as motherly as she is. I couldn't help myself. Never had anyone to believe in me as much as my dad or her. It felt nice." He looked at Riruka who blushed at him. "What's your name cutie?" "It um…" She cleared her throat. "I'm Riruka." Ben grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it making her face turn bright red. "What a lovely name. I hope one day you will do me the pleasure of going out for lunch?" Riruka snatched her hand away from him. "W-What do you take me for! There is no way I'm going to lunch with a loser like you! I'd rather eat dirt!" Ben chuckled. "Then it's a good thing we are at the zoo. There is a lot of dirt around here. Want to prove yourself?"
Izzy could not help but to chuckle at this as she watched Riruka panic slightly. "So, cutie, what's it going to be? Me or a fist full of dirt?" Izzy and Yoshiro looked at her. "F-Fine. One lunch…" Ben smiles. "Nice! I look forward to it." "Hey why don't we double date?" Yoshiro says. "What!?" Izzy says. "How about we go to Club Sam's? They make these awesome subs and we can all hang out there." "I don't think…" Izzy starts to say. "Cool! I don't know many places around her but thanks. When should we go?" Ben asked. "Actually I…" Riruka starts to say. "How about tomorrow? Izzy is off tomorrow and me and Riruka get off at 5." "Perfect! I can't wait!" Ben says and with a wave he walked off to see Kendric.
Izzy groans. "Really Yoshiro? I thought we were going to go back to my place and you know…play a few games?" Yoshiro smiled. "We can still do that after our date plus, Riruka needs a push. I think she's pent up or something. Maybe she will stop being so mean you know." "I'm right here!" Riruka yelled. "Yeah. I know. I thought you didn't like people talking behind your back so I'm talking to you, about you, in front of your face." Izzy held back a giggle as Riruka puffed her cheeks out at him.
Mikey held up bags walking to Oichi. "Hey sis. Sorry for being late. There was so much stuff I wanted to buy so I dropped it off at your house first then came here with the smaller ones." Oichi rubbed her head. "You let gifts at the house?" "Oh yeah, in the living room, the kitchen, near the back door, in their room, everywhere you named it. I spoiled the heck out of them." Oichi giggled. "You are an idiot. Grimmjow is going to be pissed." They laughed together.
"Hey! Oichi, sit down and get off your feet." Grimmjow called out. Oichi rolled her eyes. "Yes, yes…" She went to sit down, while Mikey went to sit the gifts down. "Okay, this is how we are going to do this. We are currently here." He points at the map. "As you can see the park is literally in a circle. We start to left and make our way to nature trail and see the flowers and what not. We enter the tropic zone and then hop back on the trail. We take a left here and go see the panda's, monkey's, leopards etc etc its all in the general exit that and go to the penguin and sea bears and even get a chance to watch them eat. That should give us enough time to get back at four. Eat, relax, and open the gifts and then we go for the finale and sea the sea lions perform."
Their eyes widen. "I thought that show was sold out!?" Jess asks. Oichi giggled. "I did too but nothing is to impossible for the man in question." Danni frowned. "…Ugh…your father?" Oichi nodded. "Yeah, which is why we are changing the times. Its going to be so exciting!" Danni pouted. "Dammit…how am I supposed to top that…" Jess chuckled. "I'm sure you will figure out a way." She heard her phone going off. She grabbed it and sighs as she picked it up. "Yes Uncle?" She rolled her eyes. "Of course, they wouldn't know who you are. Give them Grimmjow's last name…" She hangs up. "My uncle is heading this way. He had some trouble at the front gate." Oichi chuckled darkly. "Is that a fact. Wish I could have seen his face when they didn't know who he was." Jess shook her head.
Moments later, Jetter walked in with Frank and Tsukishima. "He's here…and he has brought another friend…" Oichi says with a sigh. Jess frowned. "Uncle this is a private party. If you were going to bring someone you should have let Oichi know!" Jetter frowned and held up gift bags. "I'm sorry dear. He just wanted to tag along. In fact, I am training him in the art of business, and he wanted to meet Oichi." Oichi blinks. "Me? Why…" She frowned. Grimmjow walked up beside her as she got up. Tsukishima walked past Frank and Jetter. He looked at Oichi and then reached his hand out. "Hello, I'm Tsukishima. It's nice to finally meet you Ms. Yamamoto." He flashed a smile to her. Oichi's eyes widen at this as a chill went down her spine. She let out a small whimper and step back. Grimmjow narrowed his eyes and grabbed Tsukishima by the collar of his shirt. "You must want to die today." Jess quickly stood up and Danni frowned getting up as well. Grimmjow had the look of death on his face until Oichi touched him softly on his arm.
Grimmjow growls and lets Tsukishima making him blink. "Oh dear…did I do something to upset you?" Oichi pulled Grimmjow back and frowned at Jetter who sighed. She looked back at Tsukishima. "I don't know who you are, but you need to leave." She says. Tsukishima frowned. "Oh? So, I did upset you?" "Whatever you want to talk about with me can wait another day." "I see…I am terribly sorry to upset you. I didn't mean to make you feel uncom…" "But you did, and I don't like it!" Oichi says snapping at him. The kids heard her yell and looked over to her.
"Whatever you want or whatever you think you are planning against me; it can wait until after my daughter's party. I'm not in the mood to deal with you or anyone else right now and if you ruin this day for my daughters, I'll make you regret it!" She yells. His eyes widen at her outburst and stared at her for a moment. "Hmmm…" He wore a soft frown on his face. "I understand and once again I apologize for upsetting you this day. I simply wanted to meet you and understand why you were a favorite topic that came across every now and then. I didn't mean to set you off with my smile it is a bad habit of mine that I've been told can bring trouble." "You reek of it." Grimmjow snarls out. "Beat it…now…"
"Leave auntie Ichi alone!" They suddenly heard. Emma was rushing towards them with Grayson, Bella, and Kendric. Ichika, Noah, Kazui, and Elijah was right behind them. They quickly surrounded Oichi and clung to her legs while Emma and Bella stood in front holding their hands out. "Go away! Your making auntie mad!" Emma yelled. Bella nodded. "Go away!" Grayson frowned. "I beat you up!" He ran toward Tsukishima until Grimmjow grabbed him by the back of his shirt holding him up. He started fling his arms left and right. The girls, who were being held by Nel were getting fussy and even Nova in Jess's arms was getting upset.
Tsukishima took a step back with a chuckle. "You are very well liked by children." Oichi smiled looking down at them. "I was hoping to talk to you about children, but it seems I am not welcome here. I look forward to talking to you again one day." He quickly took his leave.
Danni whistles out. "Nice peanut, You got you an army of kids protecting you haha." Oichi giggled. "You all are so cute!" They crowed her. "You okay auntie?" Emma asked. "Yes! I'm very okay. Thank you for your help. You guys were super brave like superhero's!" Their eyes widen with sparkles. "SUPERHERO'S!" They yelled throwing their hands in the air. Oichi laughed. "So adorable." Grimmjow was glaring at Jetter. "You really are a piece of work. Why don't you get lost as well!" Jetter frowns and glared back at Grimmjow. "I apologize for his rude behavior. I am trying to work that out of him and please watch your tone boy. There is only so much disrespect that I can tolerate from a beast like you." Oichi frowned. "You want to say that a little closer to my face!?" Grimmjow growls out. Grayson frowned to, struggling to get out of his grip. "You mean to daddy! I beat you up to!" Emma frowned. "Uncle isn't a beast! He's a person!" "Yeah!" Bella says frowning. Danni groans. "Do you ever know when to keep your mouth shut Jetter…"
"Enough!" Jess says, getting up. She walks over to Oichi and hands her Nova who starts smiling in her hold. She walks up to Jetter and crosses her arm. "Follow me. Now. You to Frank." She walked away. Jetter sighs and follows her. Frank shot Grimmjow a glare. "Now Frank!" Jess snaps. Frank frowns and follows. Once they got out of earshot from the children, Jess turned around and glared at both Jetter and Frank.
"You are pushing my buttons uncle. Oichi welcome you to this party and you brought a stranger in who clearly had unwanted intentions. That is strike one. You insulted my future brother in law. Yes, he is an asshole and yes, he has a checkered past, but you need to watch what you say around those children! Calling him a beast was way over the line! That was strike two." She closes her eyes. "One more strike and you both will not be happy with what I do. This is my niece's birthday and Oichi and Grimmjow have done a lot for this to be the perfect birthday. You two will behave or you can leave am I clear?" They were silent until she lifted her foot and slammed it down, cracking it just a bit. "I said…are we clear?" Frank bows slightly. "Apologizes lady Jess, but he insulted Lord Jetter. Back at home I would have already taught a punk like him a lesson." "Yes, but we are not home, and you will not lay a finger on him or I'll beat you to a pulp. Got it?" Frank steps back and nods.
Jetter straighten his clothes. "I am sorry Jess. Honestly, I am. The last thing I want to do is ruin this day for Oichi and her cute daughters. I will apologize to her and her tame beast and stay in the back and cause no trouble." Jess nods. "Good. No more trouble." She walked by them. Jetter looked at Frank who shook his head. They followed Jess back to the party. Grayson was sitting on Grimmjow's shoulder. Nova was cuddling into Oichi while the kids had gone back to their parents to get ready to go.
Ikkaku and Mizuho were hugging Emma who giggled. "That's my girl." Emma smiled brightly. "I did good daddy?" Ikkaku rubbed her head. "Yeah. When you see someone, who needs protecting you do anything you can to help them. Unless you are by yourself. Then you come get me or your uncle okay" Emma smiled and nods. Bella was with Chad and Elijah. She hugged him. "Yeah! Eli helped protect auntie!" Elijah blushed. "I-I help…" Chad smiles and bends down to them. "Good job Eli." Elijah looks down shyly, but Chad saw a smile appear on his face.
Ichika was getting checked on by Renji but she moved his hands and ran over to Grimmjow. "Uncle! Up to!" She held her hands up. "Sure, thing Dumpling." He bends down and picks her up, putting her on his other shoulder. She giggled and looked at Grayson. "Gray! Hi!" "Hi." Grayson says pouting slightly. Oichi chuckled. "No pouting Gray. You have to share your father's shoulders." Danni had taken the twins and was bouncing them to keep them happy, Kendric was being held by Amanda. "I hope my kids are just like Kenny! You saw how he rushed in with the other kids! Sooooooo cute!" She snuggled him. Kendric could not help but to let out a little giggle.
Jess walked up to Oichi. "Sis are we good to go?" Oichi nodded and handed Nova back to her. She frowned and reached her tiny hand over to Oichi. "Aw! She's so cute!" Oichi grabbed her hand. "I can't wait til you start talking and walking around! I'm gonna spoil you so much on your birthday!" She smiled brightly at Nova and she smiled and giggled. Jess chuckled. "Don't forget your own kids." Oichi let go of Nova's hand. "I won't. I have enough to go around." Jetter walked up. "Oichi dear, I am sorry for my earlier outburst. I did not mean to insult your…fiancé…mainly in front of the children. I was out of line and I apologize for bringing a stranger into your party without asking. All he wanted to do was to meet you and gain favor about the wellbeing of the children that are affected by this petty war between Aizen and your boss."
Oichi frowned. "Well he should have said that instead of…" She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Right…I accept your apology…you can give that guy my work number and maybe we can talk about his ideas on helping the children…but nothing more." Jetter smiled. "Of course. Thank you for being understanding. I also have gifts for your girls, and I left two of them at your home. I would have left it on the porch, but it seems like either your mother or father went a little overboard." Grimmjow raised his eyebrow. "Meaning…" "The yard, backyard, porch, and even inside the house, from what I saw, is filled with a lot of gifts. Big and small." Oichi chuckled. "That was their uncle." Grimmjow frowned. "What? Mikey!" Mikey's head pops up. "Yo?" "What the he…heck did you do to my house!" Grimmjow yelled. Mikey rubbed his head. "Oh! The gifts? Yeah, I filled that place up, you are going to have a time unwrapping those gifts." Oichi held back laughter. "We should get going. We wasted enough time. Okay everyone! Let's get this adventure started!" The kids smiled. "Yaaay!"
In Hueco Mundo, Toshiro, Kenpachi, and Soifon had their forces surrounding Aizen's building. They had everything blocked off. News reporters where there reporting. Kenpachi chuckled as he and Yachiru looked up at the building. "And who said this was going to be a boring day. Being inside a prison, things get boring you know." Yachiru giggled as she sat on his shoulder. "Yay! Time to party Kenny!" Toshiro looked at the map of the building with Soifon. "Are the camera's working?" He asked her. She looked down at her chest to see a small camera on a pocket. She tapped her earpiece. "Sir can you hear me? Can anyone hear me?"
At the center, everyone was sitting back into the meeting room with Kensei taking Oichi's seat for now. Sajin frowned at this. "The chair you are sitting in belongs to Ms. Oichi. You shouldn't disrespect her by sitting in her spot." Mayuri shook his head. "Let it be. He is taking her job so that chair belongs to him." "Not until it is fully decided." Shinji says. "Oichi doesn't deserve to lose her job because the old man has beef with her father. I thought we squashed the sins of the father falls to the child." Jushiro frowns. This was eating him up inside. "I agree that Oichi doesn't need to lose her job. She has done much for this department...However…" They looked at him. "She does lack the experience in certain areas as the division head…She helped get it back to its feet, but I fear she will not be able to take it to greater heights…" He sighs sadly. Shushi crosses his arms. He didn't want to admit it but he agreed with Jushiro. Oichi at first was nothing more than a placeholder that they needed to fill the spots. Now that they had Kensei back they need someone with real experience to take over. 'Danni won't be happy with this…and how to break this to Oichi…it feels like the café issue all over again.'
The back door opened, and Yamamoto walked in. As soon as he did the table lit up and showed a live feed of Aizen's building. "Sir? Can you hear me?" Soifon's voice was heard through the room. "Yes, we hear you loud and clear." Yamamoto says as he takes his seat. Mayuri tapped a button and it switched to different views. Toshiro came up. "We are prepared to enter the building. All exits have been sealed, the choppers are up and are prepared to level the building if we need to. All we are waiting for is your word sir." They all looked at Yamamoto. He looked at the building and narrowed his eyes. "Commence the operation. Take Aizen in alive…"
At the zoo, the twin's eyes were wide as they walked through the plant area. There were birds flying around and butterflies. One landed on Naomi's nose and she squealed out in happiness. She waved her hands trying to catch it, but it flew off. Alisha giggled at her sister. Oichi smiled pushing them along. Grimmjow was beside her carrying Grayson. Ichika was with Renji and Rukia towards the back of the group. She was frowning because she wanted to with Grayson but Renji told her no. Kendric was with his siblings who were walking a head of Oichi and the others. His eyes were just as wide as the girls. "Pretty…" He says pointing at some flowers. Sheila smiled. He was looking at some oranges flowers that were covered in butterflies. She grabbed his hand. He tensed up a bit but relax when she got him closer to the flowers. "These are called Annuals. The live for just one year. They provided good nectar that give animals foods." Kendric blinks at her. She frowns slightly. She was nervous about bonding with Kendric. She was not excitable like her brother and sister. She looked down at a butterfly that was floating by. She then felt Kendric tug on her hand. "that one?" He points to a blue flower. "Pretty to." Shelia smiles as he pulls her over to it. Oichi chuckles. "Cute."
Emma and Bella were looking at a tree that had a lot of butterflies clinging to it. "It's so pretty!" Bella nodded. "I want a picture! Daddy come onnn!" Emma wines. Ikkaku signs. "Okay Emma Okay. Stop that." Emma giggles and hugs Bella while posing. Ikkaku starts taking pictures. Ichigo chuckled. "You are being fussy, but it looks like you are secretly enjoying this Ikkaku." "Shut up Ichigo! No one asked you!" Ikkaku snapped. "Emma go pose by those flowers over there." Emma nodded and pulled Bella along with her. Noah, Kazui, and Elijah were walking together between Chad and Orihime. They did not really look to thrilled." Orihime frowned. "The boys don't seem to be having a lot of fun." Tasaki walked up beside her. "Flowers aren't normally a boys thing. Even Grayson up there is being silent. Just wait till we see some animals."
Hisagi and Florina were walking hand in hand. Florina was looking at the flowers. "So pretty and rare! I wonder if I can donate some of mine to the zoo." Hisagi smiled. "We can talk about that if that is what you really want." She watched the girls giggle as Ikkaku took more pictures. She looked down at the boys walking together and Grayson was leaning on Grimmjow's head. She held in a sigh and glanced over to Hisagi. 'A baby with Hisagi…' Her heart skipped a beat. Placing a hand on her cheek her thoughts took over as she saw herself holding a buddle of joy in her arms. "A baby with Hisagi…" She mumbled out unknowingly. Hisagi eyes widen slightly hearing the mumble. His face turned red. 'S-She wants to have a baby!?' He gulps.
Riruka was walking in the back in her own thoughts. 'Why do I have to go on a double date with Izzy and her boy toy…that Ben guy. Who does he think he is inviting me like that? What a total jerk. This is all Izzy's fault!' She stopped and turned around to yell at Izzy when she noticed that she and Yoshiro was gone. "Wha…Where did they go now…ugh!" She stormed off away from the group.
Ichika was pouting with her arms cross. "Come on honey smile for the picture." Rukia says. Ichika turned her head. Rukia frowned. "Renji why don't you just let her be with Grayson." "She doesn't need him to have fun." He picked Ichika up and placed her on his shoulder. "See, you can ride daddy's shoulder to." Ichika grabbed his hair and started pulling. "Want uncle! Meanie daddy!" She yells. "Ow! Ichika stop it right now! Do you hear me?" "WANT UNCLE!" Ichika yelled now in tears. Rukia sighs. "Oh boy…" Ichigo turns around and rolls his eyes. "For gosh sake Renji, give her to Grimmjow before she upsets the other kids." Grimmjow chuckled and walked to the back where Ichika was still throwing a tantrum. "No crying today dumpling." Ichika sniffed. "Uncle!" She held her hands out. Grimmjow smirked at Renji and took Ichika off his shoulder. Renji shot him a glare while Ichika made herself comfortable. "Gray!" She giggled and poked his cheek. Grayson let out a little sigh but let her do what she wants. "Good boy." Grimmjow says. "Let's go catch up with the others." Ichika giggled and they walked back to towards Oichi. Renji looked down and gripped his hands. Rukia grabbed his arms. "Renji stop that." "Why does she cling to him like that's her dad…She's my daughter." Rukia links arms with him. "He is the loving uncle and she likes Grayson. There is nothing wrong with that. It is the same with some of the kids. Alisha for example. She does not like anyone but her parents or her God mom Harribel. She barely likes her aunts. So just chill for now. Let Ichika have her way for now. When she gets older, she will have plenty of times to be a daddy's girl. Trust me." Renji sighs. "I suppose your right…"
Grimmjow caught up to Oichi who chuckled. "Looks like you got your God daughter back." Grimmjow smirked. "Seeing that prick all mad is always great." "Aren't you glad we you got that chance to bond with her?" "Oh yeah this was all worth it, right dumpling." "Yes!" She called out. Oichi giggled. "Cute." Once they left the flowers, they entered the tropic zone where all the birds were. That is where the kids finally let lose.
An all-out attack was going on at Aizen's building. Toshiro was sitting behind the wall as shots rang out. Rangiku rushed up and slides down beside him. "Sir?" Toshiro nods and glances over the corner. The men were reloading out in the open. "Idiots." Toshiro pulled out his gun and shot twice hitting each man in the head. Other officers rushed up ready to storm the rest of the floor. At the bottom of the building, Kenpachi was laughing as he shot a guy down. "So weak. It makes a fight boring, but the thrill of the hunt is much more exhilarating. A bullet his shoulder but it did not faze him. "Ha! Like I said weak!" He rushed into the fray with officers backing him from a far.
On the top floor, Soifon was finished. She and her second in command Marechiyo Omaeda, was walking past the dead bodies to Aizen's man office. "This was to easy…I guess without his top notches he is nothing more than a mere criminal." Omaeda says. Soifon narrowed her eyes. "To easy…" They got to Aizen's door and pushed it opened. It was empty. Soifon walked around. "Sir, he is not here…"
Back at the center's meeting room, Yamamoto narrowed his eyes. "Search the room." Soifon had the men search the room, run along the walls to search for any hidden rooms or anything in the floors. Soifon walked to his desk to see the papers were stacked up neatly. She rubbed the desk and frowned, noticing there was dust on the desk. 'Dust? Hmm…' She pushed the chair away and pulled out drawers from the desk. She held up some folders and flipped through them. Her eyes widen in disgust. "This is…!"
She then heard ticking. She grabbed the desk and pushed it over. She spotted a timer counting down from one minute. "Shit! Everyone, out now!" She yelled. Everyone without question headed for the door. She hit her ear. "Everyone, out! There is a bomb on the top floor! There may be many more on the floors! All troops evacuate NOW! It's a trap!" She yelled out, putting the folder under her vest to protect it.
On the floor below her Toshiro was leading the troops down. "Quickly get out! Don't stop!" On the bottom floor Kenpachi snitched his teeth. "Such a disgraceful way to go out…" He was heading to the door with the others when he spotted someone running in a door. "Hmmm…" He walked over to the door and kicked it open. Looking around he saw that he was in an office. He heard some ticking, but he ignored it. He eyed the closet and walked over to it. "Whoever is in there, quit hiding like a coward and come out now. Unless you want to die." He waited until he heard a door unlock. The head of a young man with blonde hair pops out. "A kid…Tisk…how boring…" He grabbed the door and pulled it off its hinges. He grabbed the kid by his arm. "Let's go boy. I got some questions for you." He dragged him off.
At the center, they watched worriedly as their people tried to clear out. "They aren't going to make it in time." Jushiro says. Yamamoto lets out a low grunt. "That damn brat. Unohana get your medic's together and head down there with Komamura, Byakuya. Shinji go provide support. Kensei…" He went silent for a moment. "…Get control of the news media feeds…" Kensei nodded.
At the building Toshiro and Soifon were still inside. Kenpachi had the young man he found in the car with cuffs on. He was looking up at the building. "Hurry up you idiots before…" Just then, the top of the building exploded. There were screams in the streets and the explosions started going off one by one on each floor. "Hey, get them out of here!" Kenpachi yelled at his men. "Get every back unless they want to get splattered!" The forces started to back up people on the street, the news anchors were trying to get shots of the building. People were still pouring out of the building. The explosion was so large that the building's top floor came apart and fell to the ground nearly crushing a few people and cars. Smaller explosions kept going off creating flames on the side of the building until finally the bottom floor went off, pushing back Kenpachi and anyone else close to it. He frowned and looked at the building. "Looks like they might be dead up there."
In the center, all the feeds but Kenpachi was down. Yamamoto stood up. "Those who I assigned positions to, get going now." Unohana had already left. Byakuya and the others left leaving Jushiro, Shushi, and Mayuri. "Mayuri, once things are cleaned up head to that building and figured out how many bombs were in the building." Mayuri chuckled and got up. "I think I'll head down their now. I know that they have a science lab. If they are smart, then that room alone should be okay." He smirked leaving the three men. "Oh my, the wonders I will find."
Once everyone left, the feed was still going. "Now what old man Yama…" Shushi says. "We will command the rescues operation from here…while we talk about Oichi Yamamoto." They frowned looking at him. "Are you really going to cut her lose…because of Dante?" Yamamoto sighs. "Have you two ever wonder why we shared the last name." Jushiro and Shushi looked at each other and then backed at him. "We…had our talks…but not much proof about it. It is a common name in some place." Yamamoto hums out. "Then it is time to tell you why I am against that boy. It is nothing about the young lady. She is an excellent worker and she has come far without her father's help. On the terms of her job, I do plan to remove her from division leader however, there are higher spots that can serve at her purpose. She has skills that can be put to a lot of use and that is something I do not want to waste. What I am about to tell you will be between us and only us. I don't want this getting out just yet and give that boy anymore fire on me."
Unohana and the others reached the building within a matter of moments and were helping through the crumbles of the buildings. Kensei was taking control on the media outlet. Unohana had her medical staff in place and making calls to other hospitals to help her including Uryu's. Byakuya and Shinji were helping directing traffic of the injured and rescuing people out of the building. Kenpachi and Sajin were inside the building with the fire fighters rescuing those who were still trapped inside the building.
In the middle, Toshiro sighs out as he sat against the wall. He coughs out and felt blood rushing down his head and he could not move his leg. "Dammit…we feel right into the trap…" He looked around and spotted Rangiku laying on the ground not moving. "Rangiku…can you hear me?" He called out. She didn't move. He grunts out and starts to drag his body over to her. Above him the ceiling was hanging down and the floor had become unsteady. He had to be careful or it could collapse. Once he reached her, he turned over slightly and saw she was bleeding badly from her side. She was out cold. "Rangiku…" He held the spot where she was bleeding. "Just hold on." He tapped his ear. "Can anyone here me out there?" He got static. "Can anyone hear me?" He asked again. He tapped twice switching over to another con connection. "Can anyone here me?" He still heard static but, he could here muffles on the other side. "If anyone can hear me, this Toshiro Hitsugaya. I need immediate emergency assistance. Repeat I need emergency assistance." He looked down at Rangiku. "Just hang on for me…"
Two floors above him, Soifon was opening her eyes, she sat up and rubbed her head. She grunts out as she held her arm. "Broken…" She got up and looked around to see most of men had made it though and were moving around debris. "Ma'am are you okay?" One asked. "I'll live. How is everything." "The building is in shambles and some floors are on fire from the smoke I see but not on our side. The staircase is right over there. We are clearing the floors and gathering as many men as we can." Soifon nods as she rips off a cloth and ties up for a sling. "I'm heading down first, Hitsugaya troops were under us." "Yes ma'am." They called out.
Soifon reached the staircase and jumped down into it. She walked down to the next floor and peeps in. She taps her ear. "Hitsugaya? Can you hear me?" She heard static. "Ugh…piece of junk. How does this supposed to be good tech if it gets busted from something like this? She walked carefully across the floor. She could hear it creaking. 'Unstable, have to be careful.' She reached the staircase and walked down the stairs to see the wall was missing. Looking out she could hear the sirens. Signing, she hit her earpiece again. "Hitsugaya? Come in? Can you hear me…?" "Soifon?" She held the piece. "Your alive?" "Yes, I can hear you clearly, are you above me?" Soifon looks down and saw a hole through the floor of the stairwell. She tips around in and looks through. "Careful the floor is unstable down here." Toshiro says. "Yeah, saw up here but this is cake for me." Soifon carefully jumps through the hole and lands on her feet gently like a cat.
She sees Toshiro sitting beside Rangiku. "She alright?" "No, she got a deep wound and she is bleeding out." "Help me turn her over. I can at least stop the bleeding until help arrive. What about you?" "You can help with a broken arm?" "I could with both arms broken. You should be worried about your own troubles. Now shut up and help me turn her over."
At the zoo, the group spilt up. Oichi, Grimmjow, the twins, Grayson, Ichika, and Elijah were in the panda area in a bamboo garden. Emma wanted to go see the monkeys with Bella. Chad asked Oichi if she could take Elijah with them to see the panda's to which she happily said yes.
There was a small area where people could go in and play with the baby pandas, touch them, and feed them. Oichi was all to excited about that and so was Elijah. Grimmjow took the twins from her and let them go into the petting area. Grayson and Ichika also went with them. The girls were babbling to each other excitingly.
Oichi sat down on a small bench while the kids surrounded her. One of the zookeepers opened the doors and four panda cubs crawled out. Oichi's and Elijah's eyes sparkled. "So cute!" Oichi says. "Panny!" Elijah yells out. The zookeeper chuckles at them. "I see you two love pandas. Would you like to know a little bit more about them?" Oichi nods. "Yes please." "Great!" The kids sat down as the panda's crawled over to them. "Oooo!" Elijah says as one settle beside him and nuzzled up to him. Oichi smiled to see him having fun. He gently pets the panda on his head. "Soft!" Grimmjow and Ichika were smiling as they pet one together. The other two went to Oichi and clunged to her leg. The zookeeper chuckled. "Panda facts." He says holding up food buckets. "Panda's eat almost nothing but bamboo shoots and leaves. Occasionally they eat other vegetation, fish, or small animals, but bamboo accounts for about 99% of their diets. Now, panda's eat fast and they eat a lot. They can go about 12 hours a day." Oichi's eyes widen. "Wow! 12 hours! That's so amazing!" The zookeeper chuckled smiling sweetly at her. Grimmjow noticed this and his eye twitched a bit.
"Would you all like to try feed our cubs!?" Oichi and the kids nodded. He bends down and handed the kids the food. Elijah handed it to the panda and watched in excitement as he nibbled on it. The zoo keeper walked up to Oichi and handed her a bamboo shoot. "Are all these kids yours?" Oichi shook her head. "God children. I have a pair of twins and one on the way of course." She says patting her belly. "I see…you are quite beautiful to be here alone." Oichi chuckled. "Well…" She pointed over to Grimmjow who was glaring deadly at the man. He jumped and broke out into a sweat. "That is my fiancé over there so I would be careful. He is really jealous." Oichi says laughing as she started feeding the panda bears.
In the monkey area, Emma was jumping up and down with Bella as they watched the monkey play. Chad and Ikkaku were with them sitting on a bench. Mizuho was snapping pictures of the girls. "How adorable! We should come here again with me you and daddy!" Emma nods. "Yes! Bella to?" Mizuho looked at Chad who nods. "Of course honey." Emma smiles and grabs Bella's hand. "Yeah!" Bella giggles at her.
Riruka was walking around alone. She sigh. 'Why did I come to this stupid party…I had nothing else to do so I tagged alone. I could be doing something else other then being a outsider to this stupid outing…' She stopped walking and rubbed her arm. 'Being alone kind of suck…' She then heard giggling. She looked up to see Izzy and Yoshiro coming out from a secluded area, fixing their clothes. Their faces were flushed. Riruka sighs. 'Oh for gosh sakes! Can't they keep it in their pants for a couple of hours!?' She put her hand on her face. 'Such a couple of horn balls! I mean this is her nieces birthday and all she cares about is having sex! Such a vulgar woman! How could she be related to Oichi!?' "Riruka? What are you doing?" She heard Izzy call out. Riruka looked up to see them walking over to her holding hands. "Did you get lost?" Yoshiro asked. "What? No, I went off by myself. R-Renji's brat was making a lot of fuss and I couldn't take it anymore." Izzy shook her head. "She is really spoiled. Why don't we go look at the bobcats?" "No thanks. I'm leaving." Riruka says walking by them. Izzy frowned and grabbed her arm. "Don't be such a party pooper. If you leave, Oichi is going to think we hurt your feelings or something. Come on." She hooked her arm under Riruka. "Hey! Let me go!" Riruka called out. "Nope! Let's go have some fun!" Izzy says dragging her along. Yoshiro chuckled and followed them.
Jess and Ulquiorra were pushing Nova around. They were meeting up with Oichi and Grimmjow at the big cat's section. Nova was looking around the zoo with widen eyes. Jess smiled. "She is trying to get use to her surroundings." Ulquiorra nods. "We don't come out to places like these, so all this is new to her." Jess chuckles. "Are you saying we should go on more outings? That would be nice. A little family bonding." "Sure…" He says. "…by the way…must they follow us?" Jess turns around to see Jetter and Frank following them. Jetter had a zoo map in his hands reading it. "They aren't being bothersome." She says. "Just being here is bothersome." Ulquiorra says. "Just try to ignore them honey. Let us enjoy ourselves."
"Jess dear?" Jetter called out. "While we are alone, I wanted to speak to you about something." They stopped walking and turned around to them. "What is it uncle?" Jess asked. "The young man, who was just here. I plan for him to go into business with Oichi." Jess frowned. "What?" "Despite what happened, he is a nice boy. He cares a lot for orphan children and has a plan to help them. Much better than what they are doing at the center. They are so overloaded on paperwork that children are getting lost in the system. I plan to make a meeting with Yamamoto about it but I wanted you to know first." Jess hums out. "I don't have a issue with it. Just tell him to not try any funny stuff…I can't protect him if Grimmjow wants to beat him up." Jetter nods. "Of course, I would like for you to speak to Oichi about it and get her on board with the idea." "I will try but, I will not make any promises. If that is all I want to get back to the party." Jetter nods and watched her and Ulquiorra walk off. Jetter smiles. "She looks so much like her mother. Growing up well. While I do not like it, I see that she has proved to me that she call live on her own without me looking over her shoulder." Frank smiled and then turned around. His smiled dropped when he saw smoke from the distance. "Lord Jetter…seems like it has started." Jetter sighs. "I see. Then let us get the plan moving. I wanted to speak to Oichi alone but that will have to wait. Come along Frank." He says walking to the exit.
At Aizen's building, two hours had gone by, before help reached Soifon and Toshiro. Sajin reached them first with a few firefighters. "Are you three okay?" "Rangiku needs help now." Toshiro says. "We got the bleeding to stop but the color is leaving her face. "Understood. Is anyone on the floor above you?" "My men are, they should be bringing anyone else from the top floor on down to the second floor above us. These floors are unstable as well." "Yes, we figured that. As well anyone on top roof would be a goner by now. It fell after the explosions went off." Soifon frowned. "We were tricked by Aizen and his goons…" "We shouldn't worry about that now, let's focus on getting out of here." Sajin bends down and carefully picks up Rangiku. "I will take her down to Unohana. Are you two okay to walk?" "No, my leg is busted, and my vision is getting blurry." Toshiro says. He rubs his head, trying to keep his eyes open. Two firefighters walked over and helped him to his feet and led him out with Soifon behind.
Making it downstairs and outside, Unohana was already ready for them. "You three are going to Uryu's hospital. He has already been informed on the situation. Take them to the waiting ambulance quickly." They did what they were told. Unohana sighs and looks up at the building. "Now…what will happen."
As more hours passed, the center kept a closed lid on the events that happened. Kensei was going to give an interview later to the reports explaining what happened but only if they saved their footage from today be kept under wrap. Unohana had gotten most of the injured out and sent to the surrounding hospitals. The bodies she recovered were on their way to the morgue and to her medical center. Some bodies were burn beyond recognition and Yamamoto wanted her to figure out who was who. Rangiku was in critical condition at the hospital, Toshiro was treated for his leg but had sustained a head injury during the explosions. Soifon was treated for her arm but she left right after that to report in. Her second in command was also being treated. He had gotten stuck under a pile of rubble. Soifon didn't really care so she didn't ask about his condition. Kenpachi had bullet stuck in his shoulders and back and the boy he arrested was sent to a holding cell. The file Soifon had was sent straight to Yamamoto. She told Byakuya that it was of upmost importance that he got the file. All information was kept under wrap to where Uryu was order not to tell this to anyone including Oichi.
At the zoo, the group was sitting down for lunch and was getting ready to head to the sea lion show. Jetter and Frank had taken their leave which made Grimmjow jump back into a good mood. Oichi was cleaning up the twins who had gotten messy while eating. The other kids were at the kids table that were set up for them, talking excitedly. "The panda bears were cute!" Emma says. "Panny's!" Elijah says smiling. Bella giggled. "There were different kinds to." Grayson held up a chip. "Bear cub! Raw!" Kendric, Kazui and Noah held their chip up. "RAW!" They yelled. Ichika smiled and did it to. "Raw!"
Ulquiorra was feeding Nova while Jess ate. Nel was also eating. She had gotten up and walked around to see a few animals but Nnoitra made her come back and rest. Oichi found it a bit cute.
"I was thinking, taking Nova to the beach for her birthday." Jess says. "Nova's birthday is in December Jess. It's going to be cold." Oichi says. "Yeah, here, but there are other places." Ichigo sighs. "Then I guess it will be just you guys going?" Jess frowned. "You wouldn't want to come to Nova's party?" "I'd love to come but if you are thinking about taking a trip around the world to soak up some sunrays then be my guess. Remember not all of us have that luxury." Jess pouted. "I could pay for the tickets…" Ulquiorra's head pops up. "No." Jess looked at him. "Huh?" "I said no. Going down the route you are going you are going to pay for tickets, hotel rooms, food, gifts, and everything else. I will not allow that." Jess sighs. "It's not a big deal." "Actually, it is." Ichigo says. "I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't like getting free handouts. Why don't you just throw a party at your house or do something like this? Within the budget of everyone?" Jess eats her hotdog. "Your right. That was a bit rude of me. I'm sorry." Orihime smiled. "It's okay Jess." "Ladybug." Grimmjow says. They looked at him. "Throw a ladybug theme or something." Nova pushed the bottle away and giggled at hearing Ladybug. "Aw, she loves that name." Oichi says.
"Of course, she does. I'm great at giving names." Grimmjow says. Oichi chuckled. "A ladybug theme is cute though. We can decorate the house in red and black, dress in ladybug colors, throw some games in for the kids. Flo makes the best cakes in town and I can make the cutest outfit for Nova!" Jess giggled. "Okay, we can look into that. Thanks, Grimmjow." "Mmmhm…" Grimmjow says eating a burger. "I'm so excited!" Oichi says. The twins giggled at her. "Mama!" Naomi yelled.
Oichi picked her up and sat her on her lap. "My baby girl's are one today. It makes me so happy!" She tickles Naomi making her laugh. Harribel walked in carrying gift bad. "Ooo! Alisha your God mom is here." Alisha looked up and saw Harribel looking down at her. She smiled and reached up. "Hi!" Harribel gave her a soft smile and sat the gifts down. She picked Alisha up. "Sorry for getting here late. With all three of these boys gone, it makes the job go by longer." Grimmjow chuckled. "So long as the job gets done." Orihime sips on her drink. "I can't wait till the school gets finish. It's going to be maybe the best thing ever." Nel nods. "Agreed right after that spa Grimmjow had built." "And Oichi's store that Grimmjow had built." Orihime says. "Or the house I live in…" Jess says. Grimmjow rolls his eyes. "If you guys are trying to butter me up for something it ain't going to work." The women giggled at him. "You are doing a lot for the city hunny. Thank you." "Uh huh…what do you women want." "A new day care center for the kids." Nel says.
Grimmjow says. "There is going to be a day care center built within the school as well." "True but what about those not in school?" Grimmjow sighs out and looks at Oichi. "We gave blueprints to Harribel and she said it can be done in a month or two should you sigh off on it." "Already went over my head aye?" "Not really. We still wanted to ask you first." "And if I say no?" Oichi slides closer to him and whispers something to him that makes him drop his burger. "That's what you get if you say yes." Oichi says giggling. Grimmjow cleared his throat. "I uh…don't see why we can't get started on it. Should you cash that in tonight." Oichi chuckled. "Consider it done then." Naomi smiled. "Dada!" She held her arms up for him. Grimmjow took her from Oichi. "Don't expect me to be saying yes to a lot of things. It doesn't work that way." Ulquiorra sighs out. "So you say but you gave in pretty easy." "If your woman was offering what my woman was offering then you would see why I agreed so quickly…" Grimmjow says with a mumble.
Danni looked at her phone, she was finally getting around to what Frank sent her this morning. She frowned reading. She was about to text him back before she got a call from Shunsui. "Hey there." "Hey…" Danni frowned. "You don't sound to happy. Something wrong?" "It's been a rough day. Are you still at the zoo?" "Yeah, they were getting ready to head to the sea lion show, but I was going to head out early. That jackass didn't get me a ticket." Shunsui chuckled. "I see, so that means your free to meet me in my office?" "For…?" "A little break. I have your favorite sake with some meat buns." Danni licked her lips. "Sounds good for another lunch. I'm on my way." She hangs up and gets up. "Well Oichi dear, it's time for me to get going." Oichi got up. "I'm sorry papa didn't get you a ticket mama…" Danni chuckled and walked over to hug her. "It's fine. When the girls turn 16 I'll be sure to return the favor to him." She kissed Oichi's forehead. "I be over tomorrow to help with all the crap Mikey brought." They heard him chuckling behind them. "Thanks mama. We sure can use the help if Mikey really go all out." Danni ruffled Grimmjow's head. "Make sure she doesn't push herself to hard." "As always." Grimmjow say. Danni waves good-bye as she takes her leave. Oichi rubs her belly. "I guess it's time for the show. Has anyone seen Izzy?" "Sucking face with Yoshiro." Mikey says. Oichi rolled her eyes. "I swear those two don't know how to keep their hands to themselves. Whatever, they have tickets, let's get the girls and the kids ready for the show."
Within a few minutes, Danni arrived at the center and parked in Shunsui's division parking spots. She looked around to see everyone moving at a fast pace. 'I wonder why everyone is scrambling around. She locked her doors and walked in the building. Walking upstairs she could smell the meat buns coming from Shunsui's office. She knocked on the door and walked in. "Shunsui! I'm here!" She was suddenly grabbed and pulled into a deep kiss. The door was kicked closed as she as was pushed on the couch. She broke the kiss and gasp out. "Shunsui! That was sneaky!" He chuckled and kissed her neck. "Sorry, I've been wanting to touch you all day." Danni giggled and pushed him off. "Sure you have. So what's going on?" Shunsui pouted. "Why do you think something is going on?" "Because the only time I come to your actual office is to either have sex or you deliver bad news. So which one is it?" Shunsui rubbed his head. "Can it be both? Mainly sex first then the bad news?"
Danni frowned. "No, it doesn't work like that unless I'm drinking. So what is going on? Why is the center up in arms?" Shunsui sighs and grabs her hand. "We did a raid on Aizen's building a few hours ago. He was not there and trapped up with bombs. We lost a few men, but we also save many of them." Danni sighs out. "Why didn't you call me? I could have looked over the place and told you guys what you needed to know…" "I know but the old man didn't want to wait anymore." "Okay so Aizen is in the wind with Tosen. That is troublesome. Anything else?" "Yes, there will be a meeting this Friday…about Oichi." Danni gave him a stern look. "About Oichi? What about her?"
Shunsui let got of her hand. "It's nothing bad…old man Yama want's to better prepare her for another chapter in her life. It may be harsh, but he always does these things as a lesson and wants her to learn something about herself." Danni's look did not change. "Is that all?" "It's all I can tell you." Danni crossed her arms. "You know how I feel about Oichi being included in your little plans. If you do her wrong, there will be hell to pay." She grabbed his hand. "Now, anymore bad news?" Shunsui shook his head. "I can't tell you much until after the meeting." "Alright then." She pushed him back and sat on his lap. "I can feel the negative energy booming off you. Would you like me to get rid of it?" She says with a smirk. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her. "Yes, please do."
They kissed each other passionately. Clothes were removed quickly. Shunsui nibbled at Danni's neck hearing soft moans coming from her. He wasted no time pushing himself into her at a rough angle. Danni tensed up a bit. "S-Shunsui…wait…" She mumbles. He grabbed on to her hips and held them steady as he trusted into her. Danni bit her lip holding her moans in. He was holding her so tightly and moving so roughly she could tell this situation was a lot worse than he was letting on. She wrapped her arms around his neck. She knew she would be unable to get any more information out of him right now. She pushed her body closed to his. "Shunsui…more…" She says in his ear. A flip was switched as he flipped her over on the couch. "Danni…" He kissed her, pinning her down on the couch.
It was now nighttime, and the party had moved back to Grimmjow and Oichi's home. Jess, Ulquiorra, Nel, Nnoitra, Florina, Hisagi, Izzy, Chad, Ichigo, and Orihime were over helping with the gifts Mikey had left all over the place.
The twins were in a play pen that was one of the gifts. The other kids were sitting at a brand-new kids table drawing and playing with the toys the girls had gotten. Nova was in her own small play pen sleeping with baby plugs over her ears so she would not be woken by the sounds. The twins were giggling to themselves as they played and tossed toys everywhere in the pen.
"I cannot believe your dumbass brother." Grimmjow says mumbling. "Where does he expect us to put all these damn gifts!" Oichi ignored him as she unwrapped a gift that had a lot of baby clothes in it. She placed them in the piles she made. She had one for clothes, one for toys, one for furniture, and one for random things Mikey would have thought the twins would like. "Be grateful that he got so much stuff. We will not have to buy a lot of things for the twins now. He even got them toddler beds! One with a fox and one with a wolf! Howww cute!" Grimmjow bit his lip. "They are my daughters! I should be spoiling them not your brother!" He snaps. Everyone turns to him. The twins stop and starts to tear up at Grimmjow snapping. Oichi sighs. "Go cool your head dear. You are upsetting the girls." Grimmjow frowns and gets up and walks out to the back yard slamming the door.
Grayson got up. "Daddy mad?" Jess shook her head. "That idiot…" Oichi grabbed a wolf plushie and a fox plushie and got up. "Your dad will be okay." She headed to the play pen where the girls stood up. "Mama?" Naomi says. Oichi smiled and wiggled the fox plushie in front of her. She smiled and reached up for it. Oichi gave it to her and watched her giggle and hug it. Alisha blinks at her sister and looks up at Oichi. "Ma…ma…" "I got one for you to sweetie." She gave Alisha the wolf plushie. She smiled and hugged it. "Ta-Ta." She says. Oichi's eyes sparkled. "Aw! Was that a thank you! You're so adorable!" The girls giggled at her.
Oichi turned to Ichigo and chad who were getting ready to take the toddlers beds up. "You guys can move the crib in Jess's old room for now. I'll have Grim break them down later." They nodded and started working. Nel was chewing on some celery. "Grimmjow in the doghouse?" Oichi hums out. "No. I see where he is coming from. He wants to spoil his baby girls. I agree Mikey went a little too far with all these gifts but at the same time it isn't the end of the world. They girls got their sweet 16, their 18th birthday, their 21st to. All in between he can spoil them. Once he calms down, he will understand to."
In the kitchen, Florina and Hisagi were unpacking gifts that were stocked in the kitchen. It was silence in between them. It made Florina nervous. "Um…Hisagi? Are you okay?" Hisagi didn't answer as he threw wrapping paper around. "Hisagi?" Florina called out. She grabbed his arm making him jump. "O-Oh sorry…" "Are you okay?" Florina asked. "Yeah just thinking about stuff." "Do you want to talk about it? Holding it in isn't good." Hisagi rubbed his head. "I don't want to talk about it while everyone is here. Let's wait until another time." Florina frowned but nodded. "Okay…" Hisagi went back to unwrapping the gifts. Florina started to feel a little scared at what he wanted to talk about. 'Is he going to break up with me? Have I done something wrong?' She started to ask herself.
Izzy was leaning on the wall holding a box of gifts for the girls. She overheard their short talk. She frowned. She has dated a lot of guys and sometimes when this conversation happened it leads to heartbreak. 'Hisagi…if you do anything to hurt my sister, I will never forgive you…" She walked away and headed upstairs.
Outside, Grimmjow was sitting on the patio smoking a cigarette. He ran his fingers through his hair as he cussed out to himself. "I shouldn't have lost my temper but dammit, those are my damn kids. How the hell am I supposed to do things for them if everyone in the fucking world is spoiling them…It irritates the shit out of me." He groans out and looks at the large box sets that were in the backyard. He frowned and got up. He went to the door and opened it a bit and switched on the light to the backyard. He closed the door gently and went to one of the packages.
Inside, the kids were now over by the twins and shaking toys in front of their faces. "Naomi! This one! Play with the dolly!" Emma says smiling. Naomi looks at it and turns her head. Bella frowned. "She doesn't like it?" Emma pouted. "Dolls are pretty!" Grayson held out an action figure from batman. "Sissy like big boy toys!" Naomi spotted the figure and screamed out. "Mine!" She yelled reaching out for the figure. She pushed herself up and walked over to Grayson, reaching for it. "Mine! Mine!"
Emma and Bella pouted, upset that Naomi did not want the doll. It was not until they felt it being tugged on. They look to see Alisha had grabbed it. The girls smiled. "Lisha likes dolls!" They giggled and sat down in front of the play pen. Alisha giggled watching them play with the dolls.
Jess chuckled. "The girls are so different from each other its cute." Oichi smiled pulling out some more clothes. "Yeah. I do admit that I am a little scared when they get older." Nel chuckled. "Have you come up with some names for your baby yet?" "No, but I did peak in Grimmjow's name book." "Name book?" Jess asked. "Yeah, he has a book with names and meanings 'hiding' in his closet. It's so adorable. I want to have a gender reveal party." Nel and Jess's eyes sparkled making her laugh. "When we get the gender planned out, we will throw a party that next month." "So exciting! I'm hoping for a girl." Nel says. "I don't think we can handle boys around here with Grayson running amuck." "I think adding another boy would be lovely. We have so many girls around here." Jess says smiling. "That is true, Grayson, Noah, Eli, Ken, and Kazui will soon be overrun by the girls here. Emma, Bella, Ichika, Naomi, Alisha, Nova, and soon to be little Sophie." Oichi giggles. "Sophie is such a cute name. Did you come up with it?" Nel sighs. "No, Nnoitra did." "Ooo shocking." Jess says with a chuckle.
Oichi leans back. "He has come a long way. I am glad he is showing some type of concern about you and the baby. Good for him!" Oichi says clapping her hand. "Now when are we going to hear wedding bells?" Nel almost choked on her food. "What!? N-Never! I wouldn't marry that man even if you paid me to!" The girls laughed at her.
It was getting late; everyone had headed home leaving Oichi, Kendric, and girls by themselves. Grimmjow was still outside. The living room had piles of gifts from Mikey but thanks to the girls help everything was stacked neatly. The twins were fast asleep on the playmat cuddling their stuffed wolf and fox. Kendric was sleeping on the couch. Oichi quickly took a picture of them before scooping the twins up first. She walked upstairs and walking into the girl's room where their new beds were set up. Naomi had a fox decorated Weston bed conversion kit. It had dark red solid wood beech wood. It was easily adapted from the crib with the bars able to move up and keep the girls on the bed. Alisha had the same but hers was light gray with a cute cartoon wolf face on it. Oichi quickly and skillfully took the girls clothes off and put them in their new pj's that were laid out by Ichigo. Oichi giggled. Naomi was dressed in a fox one piece with a hood that had fox ears on it. Oichi tucked her in and put her fox plushie beside her. She kissed her forehead. "Good night sweetie." She pulled the bar up. Next was Alisha who was in a wolf hoodie one piece that had wolf ears on it. Oichi tucked her in and put her wolf plushie beside her and kissed her forehead. "Good night sweetie." She pulled the bar up.
She sighs out. "Now for Kenny." She exited the room and closed the door leaving a crack. Walking downstairs she saw he was still sleeping. She smiled and picked him up. He nuzzled his face in her shoulder. "So cute." After taking him upstairs, dressing, and tucking him in, she went back downstairs to get Grimmjow. "That man…I wonder why he is still outside." She noticed the backyard light was on. Raising her eyebrow, she walked outside to see Grimmjow working on a playground set Mikey had gotten the girls. "Hunny?" Grimmjow jumped slightly and turned around. He was sweating a bit. "Hey, everyone gone?" Oichi nodded. "You need help with the kids?" "I put them to bed already…well not all of them…" Grimmjow chuckled. "I'll be fine. You go ahead and get some rest."
Oichi frowned. "You are not coming to bed?" "Depends…you mad at me?" "No, I wasn't mad at you in the first place. I just wanted you to calm down before you got me mad. This can wait till in the morning. Come to bed with us." She rubbed her belly. Grimmjow put the tools down. "Alright. If the kids are all sleep it gives us a little adult play time. I'm thinking the shower, then the kitchen, then in bed?" Oichi giggle. "Why the kitchen?" "You are going to get hungry after the shower. You always do." He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her. "I love you." Oichi says. "I love you to babe. Come on inside before we get stopped by one of the kids waking up. Maybe we can do an extra round." She laughed. "You are such a pervert."
That next morning, Oichi was up in the living room with Kendric and the girls watching the news. They were talking about the raid on Aizen buildings and the people who got hurt. She was shocked at what she was looking to and upset with what she learned. What got her more is who was giving these people the interview. "Here with us now is the standby division 9 head. Kensei Muguruma."
"WHAT!?" Oichi yelled suddenly. The girls who were in the play pen jumped at her sudden loudness. Kendric's eyes went wide as he dropped his juice cup from being startled. Grimmjow rushed out the kitchen in panic. "What happened?" Oichi angrily pointed at the TV. "Stand by division head!? That is my division!" She got up and grabbed her phone, she dialed Jushiro's number and marched in the kitchen.
It rings five times before he picks up. "H-Hello?" "What is going on! How can there be a stand in division head!? Why was I not notified about something like this!? I only took yesterday and today off!" Oichi yelled. "Clam d-down Oichi, I know this is moving a little fast, but we didn't want to ruin your girl's birthday party with the matter that was at hand." "When someone is running my own division, I have the right to know! I do not want that bull excuse! Someone should have at least told me of this! Instead, I have to find out on the news!?" She heard a sigh. "Listen…there is going to be a meeting Friday about this. Why don't you take the rest of the week off?" "No." Oichi says. "Please Oichi. Right now, things are a little chaotic and right now we need someone with a little experience right now." I said no! Are you saying I can't do my job!?" "I am saying that this part of your job you have never handled. Yes, you have done a few interviews and newspapers and things but this…this is something out of your…" "I am NOT handing my job over to…" "You don't have a choice!" Jushiro snaps at her. Oichi bit her lip. "I am sorry Oichi but right now your services as division 9 head is not required. Please understand the situation right now…I need you to stay home and get some rest and get prepared for the meeting at hand should it not go your way…I'm sorry." He hangs up.
Tears starts to swell up in Oichi's eyes. Grimmjow walked in with a frown. "Babe…" Oichi turned to him slowly. The tears rolled down her cheeks. "I…think I was…fired?" Grimmjow sighs and walks to her grabbing her hand. He pulled her close to him and held her tightly. In the living room they started to hear the twins get fussy. "MAMA!" Naomi started to cry out. Kendric peaked his head in. "A-Auntie…babies crying…" Oichi pushed away from Grimmjow and quickly wipes her eyes. "Oichi…" She walks by him and flashes Kendric a smile. "Let's go cheer them up then." He nods and they head back to the living room. Grimmjow crossed his arms. "What the hell are those old farts thinking…"
At Jess, her eyes were wide at the news. "What does that mean? Why is there a stand in for Oichi!?" Ulquiorra walked in carrying Nova. He looked at the TV with a blank stare. "They must be ready to replace her now." Jess looked at him with a frown. "Excuse me?" He went to sit by her and handed her Nova. "It was a rumor I heard from one of the workers. I didn't believe to much." "What rumors?" "That Oichi was nothing more than a placeholder for that spot. They didn't have any one to really fill it and it couldn't remain empty." Jess bit her lip. "So they just used her until this guy came!? They should have told her instead of investing so much of her time!" Jess says snapping a bit. Nova eyes grew wide. "Jess…you should calm your anger. You are scaring Nova." Jess gasps to see a teary eyes Nova looking up at her. "Oh! I'm sorry sweetie." She rocks Nova. "Mommy is sorry for scaring you." She looks at the TV. "I need to talk to Oichi…" Ulquiorra heard his phone buzzing. He picked it up to see Grimmjow was calling. He answered. "Yes, Grimmjow?" Jess looked at him. "Mhmm…we are watching the news." He looked at Jess. "She is greatly upset already…I see…very well." He hangs up. Jess kept staring at him. "Well!?"
Ulquiorra put the phone down. "Oichi called Jushiro and she is being told to stay home because her assistance is not required. She believes she is being fired." Jess held her breath as her anger boiled. She got up. "We are going over to Oichi's house." She stormed upstairs with Nova in her arms. Ulquiorra grabbed his phone to call Grimmjow back.
Danni woke up in her bed and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She yawned and rubbed her neck where she felt a deep neck bite. "That man…" She slipped out of bed and put on a robe. She headed downstairs where she smelled burnt pancakes being made. In the kitchen she saw Shunsui trying to cook. She chuckled. "What are you doing?" He looked back at her. "Making you some food what else." "You are burning the pancakes." "I am not. They are just a little crispy." Danni laughed. "You are a idiot. Move so I can make us something to eat." "Well I tried." Shunsui says moving out of the way. He sat at the table and grabbed his cup of coffee. Danni reached over and turned on a small tv she had, and the news channel pops up. "So, what is the plan for today?" Shunsui asked her. "I guess, look into retiring…" Danni says. "Oh? So, you really are going through with it? Have you told anyone?" "No, I haven't. You are the first. I was hoping you would talk me out of it…" "I want you to be happy. If you want to keep working, then I will side with you. If you want to retire and spend more time with those cute grandbabies, then I will support that to."Danni smiled and went back to cooking.
"As promised from yesterday…" A news reporter says. "The temporary overseer of division 9 is giving us an update on what will be going on." Danni blinked. 'A temp? Overseer? Isn't that Oichi's division?' She turned her head and saw Kensei walk up to the camera. "Good morning and thank you for waiting. My name is Kensei Muguruma and I am overseeing the 9th division as of today." Danni's eyes widen at this. "What!?" She turned to Shunsui who frowned. "…Danni…listen." "What is going on? What does he mean by that? Are you giving Oichi's job away to this boy!?" Shunsui stood up. "It's not like that." "Then explain it to me now!" Danni yelled. "Kensei is just a temporary stand in. To deal with the media hounds and what not. It's nothing that should be taking seriously right now." "Right now? So Oichi's job is in trouble? You're replacing her aren't you!?" "Danni listen…" "No, you listen to me! My daughter has been through enough with you people and now you are leaving her out to dry!?" She thought to herself for a moment. "Were you using her as a placeholder!?"Shunsui rubbed his head. "That's a harsh term." "Shunsui…" Danni says with a deadly tone. "…to…a…degree…we were letting her get a feel of how it to run a division. It was never a permanent thing and while she did live up to his expectations, she may have come a bit short…the old man was still leaning to find someone with more experience in her area. It is not a bad thing though. She got a lot of training and…"
Shunsui was smacked in the face by Danni. He was not shocked, more like he expected it…well he expected a punch, but a slap was fitting. No matter how he explained it in the end, they were just using Oichi for their own benefit." He rubbed his cheek. "Danni I…" "Get out." He turned to her now, settling into shock. "I said get out. I don't want to see your face right now." Danni says. She was calm but the sadden look in her eyes tugged at his heart. "I'm sor…" "I don't want to hear that shit. I said get out. I won't ask politely again." She says. Shunsui closed his eyes. "…I understand…" He left to gather his things. Danni sat down at the table and turned the TV up to listen to what was going on.
After Shunsui left, she got up to get dress. She grabbed her phone and dialed a number. It rung three times before someone picked up. "I know this number is used for only an emergency, but this should be considered one since Oichi is your daughter to. Whether you find it important or not is up to you though. You should turn on the news and get back here. Things may turn ugly if your little blackmailing turned left. You might lose hold on whatever you got on the old man…and it might force him to take it out on Oichi. I swear if anything else happens to her I will find you and personally kill you myself. This should have been settled a long time ago and it's time Oichi knows as well. If I do not see you or hear from you within the next 10 hours, I will go over to Oichi's and tell her everything and I mean everything." She hangs up. "Why do men have to be so freaking difficult."
At the center. A depressed Jushiro was in his office with his head on his desk and an ice back on his head. Kiyone and Sentaro looked at him with a worried look. "Sir…maybe you should call Oichi back and actually explain…" Kiyone says. Jushiro sighs. "She hates me…how can I call her back. She was so upset, in tears most likely and I must have given her bad thoughts…" "Sir this is Oichi we are talking about. I don't think she would hate you if you just explained…" Jushiro lets out a deep sigh making them both shiver. "This isn't working…" Kiyone said. "Well duh, I can see that you dumbass." Sentaro says. Her eye twitched. "What was that!? I have yet to see you do anything for him! At least I gave him the ice pact!" "Yeah, after I advised him that he needed it!" "That's a bunch of bull! I already knew he needed an ice pack! Don't try to take all the glory you slob!" "Slob!? Me!? Why you…!"
They grabbed each other and started to fuss when a knock was heard at the door. "I'll get it!" Kiyone says pushing Sentaro away. He tripped back and fell over a small stool. Kiyone chuckled and rushed to the door. She opened it and saw Shunsui standing there with a red mark on his face. Kiyone moved to the side. "Welcome sir…do you need an ice pack?" "No, it's a well-deserved mark…I need to speak with Jushiro." Kiyone frowned. "Well about that…" They turned to see Jushiro still in a depressed runt. "Ho? Did Danni get to him?" "No sir…Oichi saw the news and called him." "Ahhh…that's no good. What did you tell her?" He asked walking to the desk. He sat down.
Jushiro sits up, holding the ice pack to his head. "I…told her to take the rest of the week off until the meeting but she started to get upset and I blurted out that we didn't need her right now…she was so upset and hurt. I'm such a horrible person…" He sinks back down to the desk. "Yeah…Danni is pissed. She saw the news this morning and I thought for sure my life was going to come to an end…I would not have mind being beaten to death by those sexy fists of hers…but…instead I got slapped and was told to get out. She doesn't want to see me right now." He sighs out sadly. "What did you tell her?" Jushiro asked. "I told her the outlining of things but in the end, she just…" He put a hand over his cheek. "This isn't going very well, and I don't want to lose her after I've come so far…she looked sad and hurt and Oichi…it's not like we aren't using her to our own benefits…This feels wrong and I may lose my last change with Danni. I'm not sure what to do Haha."
Jushiro was sitting up now listening carefully. "You truly love Danni, don't you?" Shunsui chuckled. "I do. It pains me that I had to lie to her and wait for her to see the news. I am sure Oichi and her friends are confused to just like the rest the center. There is already talk…about Oichi losing her job." Jushiro put the ice pack down. "So, what do you think we should do?" "Nothing more we can do…we have our orders and with what the old man told us this might be for the best. While I do think we could have done this another way it is what he wants. He can be so cruel sometimes." Jushiro nodded. "Yes, but to think the connection was this bold and truly right in front of us. All the sighs pointed, but never connected." Shunsui chuckled. "Yup. He is a slick old man. No wonder why he hates Dante so much."
At the hospital, Ikkaku was watching the news as he ate a sandwich. He was in Yumichika's room. The door opened. Renji and Kira walked in. "Yo." Renji says. "Did you know about this?" Ikkaku says. Renji sighs. "I knew the basics, but I was told to keep it away from Oichi and Hisagi. They didn't want Oichi to be a part of this given her history you know." "No, I don't know. It's stupid…why call this guy a temp. Does that mean Oichi is going to lose her job…again? I'm getting tired of those bastards toying with her." Ikkaku said with an irritated scowl on his face. Kira walked up to Yumichika. "We can only hope that maybe they have bigger plans for Oichi?" Renji put his hands in his pockets. 'Oichi…I hope you aren't watching this yet.'
"Mmm…" The paused and look toward the bed. Yumichika's eyes opened. "Hey! Your awake!" Renji says. Ikkaku got up. "About damn time." Yumichika looked around with a faint look in his eyes. "I'll go get the doctor." Kira says walking out. Renji smiled brightly. "Welcome back Yumichika. We were getting pretty worried about you." Yumichika looked at Ikkaku for a minute before he smiled and closed his eyes. "Looks like he woke up just to see if you were okay. I'll never understand the type of weird bond you two share…" Renji says putting his hands in his pocket. Ikkaku sighs and sits back down.
Back at Oichi's house, Jess and Ulquiorra were just walking up. It was a nice day and they decided to walk to Oichi's house instead of driving. Nova was in her stroller looking around at everything. "She has such curiosity in her eyes." Jess says giggling. Ulquiorra was texting on his phone while carrying Nova's baby bag and a sleep over bag in case Jess wanted to stay with Oichi tonight. When they got to the front, they saw Grimmjow outside smoking. He was taking Damien out to use the bathroom. Jess frowned. "Why aren't you inside with Oichi?"
Grimmjow blew out smoke and tapped the ashes on the tray. "Oichi is a big girl. She does not need me watching over her 24/7. Plus, someone had to take Damien out." Damien barked and ran around in a circle, letting Grimmjow know he finished. "She's in the living room with the kids. Jess took Nova out of her stroller and Ulquiorra closed it up. They made their way into the house. Jess went to the living room where she heard the girls and Kendric playing. She saw Oichi had the news channel still playing but it was on mute. She was sitting on the floor playing with the spelling blocks alongside Kendric. Naomi was playing music on one of her musical toys and Alisha was laying on her stomach yawning.
Jess smiled. "Hey Sis." Oichi turned her head. "Oh? Hey Jess, I didn't know you were coming over. I would have cleaned up more." Ulquiorra walked over and saw the tv. "You are still watching this garbage?" Jess nudged him. "Honey…" "It's okay…" Oichi says sighing. She spelled out a word for Kendric. He hums out looking at it. "S…I…M…P…L…E…simpie?" He asked. Oichi smiled. "Simple. Sim-Ple." "Simple…" Kendric says touching the blocks. "Spell it out." Oichi says. While Kendric started to spell, Jess sat on the couch next to the twins. "He is getting better."
Oichi smiled and rubbed his head. "I'm fine Jess." Jess blinks and looks at the tv. "You aren't fine, but I understand that you don't want to look upset in front of the kids. When it's time for their nap we need to talk about this." "This isn't anything to talk about. I should have known I was nothing but a placeholder. Getting place into such a high position when I haven't even put in all the work seem so fishy, but I was more focus on getting my life back on track. I should have seen this coming." Jess frowned and kept watching the tv. "You shouldn't be upset for doing that. Whatever happens, just know that I will have your back. Like always." Oichi nods, holding back loose tears.
Florina was in the kitchen, cleaning dishes. She had saw the news that morning but could not stand to watch it anymore. Izzy was also in the kitchen doing some homework. Her double date was not until five. Hisagi walked in fixing his cuff links. "Hey there." He says. The girls did not respond to him. He frowned. "What's wrong with you two? Did something happen?" Izzy frowned but before she could say anything, they heard Florina slammed down a cup. "…Did you know about Oichi…?" "She asked. Hisagi frowned. "I got word of it late last night after we got home. I am just as shocked as you…" The girls were silent. Hisagi rubbed his head. "There is supposed to be a meeting Friday to get this thing sorted out. When I get home, I will fill you in with as much as I can." Florina looked down. "Is my sister going to lose her job again?" "…I don't know." Florina was silent. "I see…" She went back to washing dishes.
Izzy shivered. She didn't like it when Florina was this quiet. Though she knew what was really bothering her. She looked at Hisagi. "Don't you have a job to get to?" "Oh right…um Flo…I'll see you tonight for dinner?" "Yeah…" She replied. Hisagi grabbed his keys and put on his shoes and walked out the house, heading for work. Izzy leans back in her chair. "Flo…while I know you are worried about Oichi, I overheard your conversation with Hisagi last night." Florina shakes her head. "It's nothing Izzy. Really." "Mhmm…I just want you to know that if he so much as hurts you, he is dead." Florina chuckle. "It will be okay Izzy." Izzy pouted but was happy to hear the chuckle. She went back to doing her work.
At the superhero shop, Yoshiro was helping a female customer with some Superman clothes. She was blushing and giggling at him. Yoshiro grabbed her a shirt that was on discount. "Here you go miss. This is the shirt you wanted right?" The girl nods and then wraps an arm around his. "Hey you are really cute. Do you have a girlfriend?" Yoshiro flashed her a bright smile that made her blush even more. "Yup! I have an amazing girlfriend. Thank you for asking." The girl's blushing face went pale. "Oh…I see…I was hoping to invite you on a date." Yoshiro removed her arm from his. "Thank you for your kind invite but I already have plans with Izzy." The girl pouted. "Izzy…the other girl who works here. That is who you are dating!? Ha…I can show you a much better time than that stuck up daddy's girl." Yoshiro frowned. "You should just dump her and come with me. I think I'd make a cute wife don't you think?" She says batting her eyes.
"I think you're a slut." The girl gasps and turns to see Riruka walking up with a frown. "Excuse me!?" "You heard me. Don't you have anything better to do then to bother an employee. He already said he had a girlfriend. Take a hint and scram girly." The girl rolled her eyes. "It shouldn't matter if he has a girlfriend or not! He is from a noble family. He should be happy to have more than one wife!" Yoshiro backs up. "So…you are only coming on to me for my spot in my family line." The girl turned to him. "I mean…you have been flaunting your wealth and want for a wife that you can take care of, right? I have classes with Izzy and trust me she is nothing. She would make a horrible wife. She is more focus on herself then you. If I were your wife then…" "Enough of your words!" Yoshiro snaps at her. Customers stopped and turned their heads. "Wha…What?" "If you think you know Izzy then you are wrong. Izzy isn't the type of woman who thinks only about herself, rather she places the burden of others on her shoulders." He grips his fist. "She is the one who will become my wife and no other basic chick like you can change my mind. Izzy is more wife material then you will ever be." The girl gave him an angry glare.
"Fine! Be that way! I came here offering myself to you and you push me aside like I am some common trash!? Do you know who my daddy is! He OWNS this mall and when I tell him how you treated me, he will have you and your bogus girlfriend fired!" Riruka walks up and grabs the girl by her shoulder. "That is enough out of you dumbass. Your 'daddy' is not going to do a thing. You are lucky that I am not in the mood to deal with your feeble mind. So, I am going to ban you from the story until further notice." "HUH!? You can't do that!" "I can and I just did. Your name and face will go on the not wanted sigh and until it's removed you cannot enter this store nor the café." She pulled her arm behind her and squeezed it tightly making her gasp. "…And if you ever disrespect Izzy like that again, a simple warning like this will not happen next time." She narrowed her eyes. "Got it?" The girl gulps and nods. When she was let go, she ran out the store in fear.
Yoshiro laughs. "Wow Riruka. I didn't think you would defend Izzy like that." Riruka crossed her arms. "Oh shut up. If anyone is going to insult that pea brain, it's going to be me." Karin was leaning over the counter, leaning on her arm. "You know if you just admit you want to be friends with her it would be easier." "No way! I'll never admit that!" Riruka yells. She storms off to the back. Yoshiro chuckles and walks over to the counter. "I think I understand even more why Izzy got so mad at me that one time."
"Hm? Oh, you mean when you wanted her to depend only on you?" Karin asked. Yoshiro nodded. "After hearing what that girl said it really made me sick to my stomach. I do want a wife I can pamper but after being with Izzy I have learned that it's perfectly fine for a woman to be independent to. I would rather have Izzy as my wife. More than anything else now. Do you think I should offer my hand?" Karin rolled her eyes. "No. Izzy isn't thinking about marriage and if you try to push her into the idea then you will push her away…again…let's try to avoid that." Yoshiro gave her a sad look. "Then how do I express my love for her…" "Spend time with her, spoil her, heck embarrass her with all your affection. It's the little things that make Izzy happy sometimes." Yoshiro hums out. "I see. I see…I guess I can wait to ask for her hand in marriage, but it doesn't mean I can't pick on a ring…on that note, when do you plan to get a boyfriend?" Karin blushed and smacked the back of his head. "Shut up and get back to work."
As five came and passed, Yoshiro, Izzy, and Riruka were sitting in the sub shop waiting for Ben. It was warm outside this afternoon. Izzy was wearing a black and white shirt with a black skirt that went down to her knees and a pair of white sandals. Yoshiro was wearing a light blue shirt with brown shorts and matching converse. Riruka was wearing a blue floral dress with ruffles at the bottom and blue flats. A gift from Oichi. Izzy had brought it to her. She had her hair down from her usual ponytails. Her face was red with nervous. "I…I don't think this was such a good idea. He wouldn't want to come with me of all people…I've never been on a date before." Izzy chuckled. "Don't worry about it. Oichi said Ben was I nice guy. He still has to do some court visits with his mom, and all so let's give him a few more minutes."
She looked at Yoshiro. "So, I heard from Karin some girl was trying to butter you up." Yoshiro chuckles. "Yeah, but I told her that they only wife I was going to have was you." Izzy blushed. "W-Well…let's not go that far yet. Marriage is…" "Still a long way to go. I know." He kissed her cheek. "I will wait until your goals are met." Izzy smiled and kissed him on back on the cheek. He gave her a look and went in for a kiss on the lip, but she placed a finger on them. "Remember, we promised not to do too much PDA on this double date." Yoshiro pouted. "True…" He sat back and pouted more wanting to kiss Izzy.
She chuckled at him and then saw the door to the shop opened. She notices Ben walk in. "Look he is here!" She waved to get his attention. Riruka nerves started to mess with her more. Ben walked up to the table and smiled at her. "Whoa! You got all dressed up for me? That's adorable." Riruka's face was turning bright red. He sat down next to here. "Is this your first date?" He asked. She gulps and nods. "Ooo A first timer. Do not worry. All you need to do is be yourself. I would not do anything to push your limits. At least for now." Riruka rubbed her fingers together. "R-Right…Um…so we should order something to eat. You kept us waiting long enough." They picked up a menu.
Deep underground, beneath the city within an undiscovered lab. A yell of frustration was heard along with glass smashing and shattering. "Dammit! Why won't it work!" Szayelaporro yelled throwing a flask at the wall forcing it to shatter into piece. He sighs out and sits at his desk. He looked like he has not slept in days. He had long left Aizen's building and had gone into hiding to begin his own plans. He was going to travel overseas but for some reason things did not work out in his favor. Now he was stuck here trying to figure out his next step. He held up an empty glass that once had Jess's blood in. He had one of his agents steal it when she was in the hospital having Nova. He wanted to unlock the secrets of the Mikcloud family, but it proved to be harder than he thought. No matter how he tested it the results came out negative until there was no more blood to tell and since he left his people back at the main building, they were either captured or dead. He let out a load groan and put his head on the table. "I need more of her blood…I feel like I can make a breakthrough if I only had more." He gets up and grabs a picture of Jess he had collected. "Such a beautiful test subject but going after her would be dangerous…" He hums to himself and opened a file and grabbed Nova's picture. It was one when she was in baby ward at the hospital. He put the pictures together and then smirked. "It shouldn't matter if the test subject happens to be a bit small haha…"
At Oichi's place, Oichi was sleeping on the couch. There was a pile of pillows beside Oichi that Grimmjow had placed there. He told Jess not to move them but did not tell her the reason why they were there. In the end she thought it was for Kendric in case he wanted to sleep next to Oichi. The twins were also fast asleep in their play pen with Nova in the middle of them. Kendric was helping Jess clean up the living room. "How are you liking your new home?" Jess asked. "I like auntie…and babies." Jess giggled. "Yeah, they really like you to." Kendric looked at Oichi. "Auntie nice to me." "She is nice to all the kids. She wants to make sure you have a nice life just like the twins, Grayson, and my little Nova." Kendric looks down and hums. Jess rubs his head. "Why don't we finish cleaning and I fix you a snack?" Kendric nods.
Once the toys were put away, they went in the kitchen. Jess picked him up and placed in a booster chair. She opened a small container that had mixed fruit in it. She filled it up and small bowl for Kendric and got him a cup of apple juice. "Here you are dear." "Thank you." Kendric says. She gave him a spoon and smiled at him while he ate. Grimmjow and Ulquiorra had left moments ago to pick up a few wanted to talk to Oichi about what was going on, but she kept avoiding the subject. She was debating if she should just call her uncle and demand that he fixed whatever was going on but, that would be going too far.
Just then there was a loud thump. "Oww…." Jess gasps and quickly went to the living room to see Oichi had rolled off the couch and on to the floor and on the pillows that were placed under her. Damien had can rushing in and was licking her hand. "Damien stop…" Oichi says pushing him away gently. "I'm okay…" She rubbed her belly. "Oichi!?" Jess says in a panic. "Hey…I guess I rolled over…it's becoming a habit for some reason." Jess drops to her knees and checked her belly. "I'm fine sis really. Grimmjow placed pillows here for me." Jess sighs out in relief. She helped Oichi up and they walked into the kitchen. "Auntie fall down?" Oichi chuckled. "I did but I'm okay. Did Jess feed you?" Kendric nodded. "You tell her thank you?" He nodded again. "Good boy." She sat down.
"I'll make you some tea." Jess says. "Thank you." Oichi says. She rubs the back of her neck. "I guess you want to talk about what is going on?" "That would be nice. I don't like being left in the dark like this." Oichi rubs the back of her hand. "The truth is I do not know what is going on…I was up watching the news and then that guy came on. He said he was the overseer of my division. I could not believe it. I called Jushiro about it I tried to get information out of him, but I got nothing. He told me I was not need and maybe I should just take the rest of the week off. He then hung up on me…" Jess frowned as she sat the cup of tea down. "Just like that?" Oichi nodded. "So, I just feel like I did at the café. I feel like once again I am going to lose my job…" She then chuckled. "I mean it was kind of weird now that I think about it. I don't have much experience with running a division like that. I got to where I am by doing fashion. I left the news part to Hisagi. There is no way they could trust me with a job like speaking to the media in situations like this."
She rested her hand on her chin trying to control her hormones. "I should have notice that when Jushiro pushed me into this." Jess sat down and grabbed her hand. "Oh hun…don't let this bother you. I know it seems like this is bad, but it is not the end. You still have you shop and even if you are not credited for it, you still got us the chance to build a school for our children. Bump them if they can't understand what you bring to the table." Oichi chuckled. "Thank you for trying to cheer me up." Kendric stops eating. "No sad time! Only happy!" He holds his spoon up making them giggle at him. "So cute, anyways, where is Grimmjow?" "He went out to pick up some things. He should be back."
They heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get it." Jess says. She walked to the front door and peaked out to see Danni standing there. She opened the door. "Hi Danni." "Hi Jess. You must have saw the news. How is she?" "A wreak but she won't show it." Danni chuckled. "That is my daughter after all." She walked in and Jess closed the door behind her. Danni walked into the kitchen and smiled at Oichi. "Hi Peanut." "Hi mama…" Danni took a seat beside her. "Hi…" Kendric says. "Hi Ken. Do you know who I am?" "Um…Auntie mama?" "Yup that means you can call you granny." "Granny?" "Yup! I'm your granny." Kendric smiled. "Granny…" Oichi chuckled. "Did you need something today mama?"
Jess walked back in and took a seat at the island. "I just wanted to see if you were okay…" "Oh…" Oichi says. Danni grabbed her hand. "I talked with Shunsui, but I couldn't get much out of him. I do know that you have to attend a meeting Friday and get this whole thing sorted out." Oichi sighs. "Why? What is the point? I am losing my job again to the same company who shut down my café. Why torment me if they are going to kick me to the curve? To laugh in my face. To tell me they were right that I wasn't fit for this job?" She tears up. "All I want is a life for myself and my children. Why can't I get that? Why do I have to keep working hard just to end back up at the damn bottom!" Tears ran down her cheek. "Oh honey…" Danni got up and wrapped her arms around her.
"Do not ever, think this is it for you. Whatever happens, know that you are not alone in this and there are other things that will fit your great talent." Jess got up and walked over to them. She grabbed Oichi's hand. "She is right sis…when you go into that meeting you go in with your head high like you have always done." Oichi sniffs. "Auntie…" Oichi looked at Kendric. "Um…auntie needs hug?" He opened his arms out to him and it made her smile. "I could use a hug Kenny…" Danni smiled and grabbed Kendric out of his booster seat. She placed him on Oichi's lap, and he gave her a hug. Oichi giggled and hugged him back. They heard the door opened and close. Grimmjow and Ulquiorra walked in carrying bags.
Walking into the kitchen, Grimmjow frowned to see Oichi crying. He sighs and walks over to her. Opening the bag, he pulled some Teriyaki chicken from the Chinese shop. The smell hit Oichi's nose. "Mmm…Teriyaki!" "I stop by the little store you like. I figure this would cheer you up a bit." Oichi smiled. "Thank you honey." "I don't know what's going on…but…I don't mind it if you want to work from home. I can support you now to where you don't have to lift a finger anymore…" Grimmjow says. "You have been working hard for everyone else, but I have yet to see you do anything for yourself other than open your fashion shop. No matter what happens I promise you…as your man I will never let hit rock bottom ever again. I swear it." Oichi's eyes widen slightly. "Grim…" Tears started to run down her cheeks again. She handed Kendric to Danni and got up. She rushed to Grimmjow and started to cry in his chest. He wrapped an arm around her and held her tightly. "I promise you Oichi. I will not ever let you go through that again. No matter what." Jess smiled. "Look at you, becoming all mature. I'm impressed." Grimmjow frowned. "Oh, shut up…"
As Friday morning rolled around, Oichi was at the center standing in front of her office door. She was wearing a flutter royal blue maternity shirt with black leggings and flats. She sighs and looks down at her belly and adjusted the strap of her purse. Hisagi was supposed to be coming to escort her to the meeting as he normally did. She checked her watch. "Is he running late?" Looking at her door she frowned. After today her name would no longer matter as much. All her work will be replaced and who knows if she will be fired or not.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" She heard a loud voice yelled. It made her jump. "If you are looking for someone you should have went to the help desk." Oichi turned around to see the same man she saw on Tv. He was much bigger in person and kind of handsome even. He stopped when he saw her. He blinks and looked her up and down and stopped at her belly. "…Are you…Oichi?" Oichi stopped herself from frowning. She put on a soft smile. "Yes, I am Oichi Yamamoto…and you are?" "…I'm…Kensei Muguruma…I've come to escort you to the meeting…" "I thought Hisagi was coming." "I asked him to do something else for me while we are busy. Sorry I know you are fond of him. I thought it would be best if I did it instead." "I see…then thank you…" Oichi says. She dropped her eyes from him and walked by him. Kensei could not help but to check her out a bit. 'Shinji was right…she is kind of cute…' He shook his head. 'No don't think like that. She must hate me right now and just putting on a face.'
They walked to the meeting room together, getting looks from others. Oichi could hear some whispers. "So, it's true? Is Oichi really getting replaced!?" "That's some tough work, I didn't think she was cut out for this type of job anyways." "Aw man…does that mean we won't see her anymore. I really love her fashion ideas." "I guess it isn't too bad. Look who she is walking with…" 'Mix reactions…' Oichi says to herself. 'A sneaky tactic. Have this man walk me to my last meeting to show people we are on good terms. It creates less drama and less talk among the ranks.' Oichi sighs mentally. She stops and looks at the people whispering. They gasps and stood up straight. "Please get back to work. If you have time to stand around talking you can be doing your jobs. Have all the orders been put in today?" "N-No ma'am…" One of them says. "Then please get it done, the more orders we lose the more clients walk out on us, I rather not go through that again." "Yes ma'am, we will get right on it!" They said rushing off. Kensei looked a bit impressed by this. 'By first look, I didn't think she would have it in her to be a boss but maybe I was wrong…still though…she has a long way to go before she can fill the shoes of those who came before her…namely me…' They started back walking.
Getting closer to the meeting hall, Kensei studied Oichi's figure. She looked so fragile, like he could break her into if he held her. He shook his head. 'hold her? What the hell am I thinking?' He rubbed the back of his head. 'I guess I should try to make conversation or this wont work. People are already starting to talk again.' "How long have you been overseeing the 9th?" "Officially? Maybe a little over a year or so…" "What have you done to improve it?" He asked. "…I was asked to leave the news reporting to Hisagi so I handled sighing off on reports that could be used for magazines, newsletters, and the media. Since I could not do much with the media, I expanded upon the fashion side of the division. It wasn't much at first, but I was soon able to get people talking about the 9th in a more positive note." "Hmm…that much is true. When I ran it before it was more or less a more combative section that handled the media when things got rough. When I left and Tosen took over it become more of a handle of little things dealing with certain aspects of the media. Then when Tosen left the company it fell apart and Hisagi had to take over and do what he could. While this is not the greatest moment right now, I do express my thanks for helping this division get back on its feet." "Yeah…I'm sure it will be better in your capable hands." Oichi says a bit flatly.
Kensei frowned. "I just told you I express my thanks and all you can do is say Yeah?" Oichi stopped and turned to him. "Excuse me?" "Normally when a person thanks you, you say something a bit more then 'yeah'…" He says crossing his arms. Oichi placed a hand on her hip. "I just said it will be better in your capable hands." "It's not a proper response to what I just said." Oichi rolled her eyes slightly. "A proper response? A proper response would be for me to not even say anything at all! I have a lot on my mind right now and the last thing I am thinking about is you and your 'proper' responses."
Kensei sighs quickly getting irritated. "Look, I can't help it that you weren't cut out for the job. Not everything has to go your way you know. Your father can't always hold your hand." Oichi frowned. "What does my dad have to do with any of this?" "So you don't think your father had anything to do with why you got to the top so quickly!?" Kensei asked. "He didn't! My dad does not interfere with my life. I don't know what is wrong with you people!" She snapped suddenly. Kensei jumped at the intensity in her voice. People stopped and stared.
"I'm about to lose my job and all you can think is how my father has been coddling me this whole time!? Since I have been on my own my father has not interfered in my job life once! I have been attacked, kidnapped, nearly assaulted, beaten while I was pregnant and not ONCE did my father ever come and save me! He does not always come to my defense when I need him the most!" She yelled now tearing up. "I don't know what you people have against him but leave me out of it! I am so sick of being the scapegoat between whatever petty thing you all have with him!" She pants as tears ran down her cheeks. She was so full of anger and sadness and the extra charge of hormones were not helping. She then had a strong urge to use the bathroom. She sniffed and started walking off to find a bathroom. Kensei was stun at her outburst and from the look of anger and worried eyes from everyone it was clear that he had made a huge error in the conversation.
He went after Oichi. "Hey, wait a minute girl." He grabbed her arm. "I wasn't done talking to…" Oichi snatched her arm away from him. "Don't you dare grab me! I will smack your face in! I am going to the freaking bathroom. Is that alright? Or are you going to blame my pregnancy on my dad to! You can go to the meeting without me and my name is Oichi. Call me anything else and I will not respond to you!" She quickly walked off to find the nearest bathroom. Kensei snitched his teeth. "Dammit it all…"
Oichi reached the bathroom and raced to the stall. She sighs out loudly, happy that she made it before she ruins her clothes. When she was finished, she went to go wash her hands and looked up in the mirror. Lately now, every time she cried even for just a bit her eyes would get a little red and her cheeks would become puffy. It was hard to hide how upset she was. She rubbed her face thinking about how she snapped at Kensei. "I should apologize…I didn't mean to yell at him like that…but still. Why do they keep throwing daddy's name into this? Sure, he use to work here but why should that matter."
In her bag she heard her phone rings. She digs inside and grabs it. "Speak of the devil…" She answered. "Hi daddy…" "Pumpkin…you sound upset." "…well yeah…" "Are you busy right now?" "Yeah, I have a meeting to get to. Don't know if I will lose my job since I am nothing but a placeholder." "You shouldn't think that way. The old fart might do weird things, but he would be an idiot if he let you go." Oichi smiled softly. "That is a nice thought…daddy…can I ask a question?" "Of course." "Did you do something to these people?" "Hm? That is a vague statement. Did something happen?" "I just want to know why everyone throws your name at me. In meetings Mayuri talks so much crap about how I am just feeding off your name."
Oichi tears up again. "Why do they think that you pulled strings to get me here. Did you daddy!? Did you pull strings to put me in this situation!? Are they right?" "Pumpkin calm down. Deep breaths." Oichi sniffs. "Sorry…" "It's okay, you are feeling a lot of emotions all at once. To answer your question. I did do some questionable things while I was there. I also put Mayuri in a very amusing position to where he had no choice but to fork over all his data on certain research material. He is holding a grudge and I guess if he takes it out on you it will make him feel better. Do not let him get to you. He may be insane, but he does not have the balls to touch one hair on your head. I have raised you to live without me and unless you ask for my help or I think you cannot handle the situation I will never interfere in your life. Today may be stressful but always know that if you ever need me, I will come and do everything in my power to get you what you want. If that makes you happy."
Oichi smiles. "Thanks daddy…I only want one thing right now." "Name it." "Spend more time loving and spoiling your granddaughters." She heard him chuckled. "Of course, I will spoil you to while I am at it. I'm sure it will piss your mother off." Oichi giggled. "Don't push her to far please." "I'll think about it. When your meeting is over, give me a call. There is something I want to discuss with you. It is important." "Really…then okay. I'll talk to you soon." "Mhmm…" He says before hanging up. Oichi took another deep breath.
She then heard a knock at the door. "Oichi? Are you okay?" It was Renji. She walked to the door and opened to see he was a bit out of breath. He frowned looking at her. "How long have you been crying in here? Do I need to call you a ride home?" "No, I am fine…how did you know I was in here?" "Some of my people came to me and told me about what happened between you and Kensei. I came to make sure you were okay. I heard it got pretty intense and by the look of your face, it was." Oichi rubbed her cheeks. "It's whatever. I did not mean to snap at the guy. I just have a lot of things on my mind and the last thing I wanted to hear was someone else thinking I got here with my dad's help." Renji sighs and held his hand out. "Come on, I will escort you to the meeting. I'll also call Grimmjow to come get you once it's over." "I don't need him to come get me. I drove." "You're a wreck Oichi, mentally wise. You think I am going to let you drive out of here alone? Whatever happens, good or bad, you are going home to rest." Oichi pouted. "I am not a wreck. I am just fine…sorta…How are you going to…" "I said what I said." Renji says firmly, stopping Oichi.
She huffed out. "Fine…your lucky I had always found your firm and stubborn side slightly attractive." Renji smirked. "Come on. Oichi hooked her hand under his arm and they headed to the meeting room.
At the hospital, Rangiku groans out as she comes to. It took awhile for her eyes adjusted it. "Mmm…where am I…" She felt a squeeze on her hand. Turning her head, she saw Gin looking at her with a relief look on his face. "You're in the hospital. You got hurt pretty bad." Rangiku groans. "Was it my face?" He chuckled. "No, your face is still beautiful, and your injury isn't going to leave a permanent scar." Rangiku smiled. "That is good. This body is too beautiful to start getting all scared up." Gin smiled and kissed the back of her hand. "You had me worried Rangiku. I almost thought I lost you." She chuckled. "Don't be silly. You know me better then anyone. I'm way to tough to go out like that."
Gin chuckled. "You should get some rest; I need to go tell the doctors that you are up." Rangiku held his hand tighter. "You are going to come back right?" "Yes, I am not going anywhere. Looks like you are just going to be stuck with me forever." Rangiku smiled. "Good, if I wake up and you aren't here, don't expect me to forgive you so quickly like last time." "Oh? That does mean that you will forgive me none the less?" "Don't be cheeky. Get the doctor." Gin kisses the back of her hand and got up. Once he left Rangiku sighs and turns her head to look out the window. "That was a terrible way to go out though. What is going to happen now…where did Aizen go and why did he set the building to explode. So many questions…"
Momo sighs as she sat at her desk. She was worried about the meeting and Toshiro. He had request for her to not come see him at the hospital and for her to focus on her work. She leans back in her chair. "How am I supposed to focus when all of this stuff is happening…" There was a knock at the door. It opened and Kira walked in. "Hey there Momo." "Kira, hey! What are you doing here?" "I finished up all my work early and came to check on you. I also had to calm some people down." "You did? Why?" Kira closed the door behind him and sat down on the small couch that was in her office. "News is spreading fast about this meeting. Oichi and Kensei were seen walking together and then they got into this shouting match. Oichi ended up running off in tears." Momo gasps and stood up, slamming her hands on the desk. "What!? We must go find her! She can't be running around pregnant! What if she falls and hurt herself or worse! She hurts herself and Grimmjow comes and blows the place up and get thrown back in jail!" Kira shook his head. "You are jumping to conclusions again…the worst-case scenarios is that Grimmjow gets into a fist fight with Kensei, but it shouldn't come to that hopefully."
Momo puffs her cheeks out. "Even so! We must go find her! She could be hurt!" She ran to the door and opened it, almost running into Hisagi. "Whoa! Where is the fire?" "Oichi ran off somewhere after an argument with Kensei. Wait why aren't you with her?" "I was asked to run some task, back up. You said she ran off?" Momo nods. "Yes, and we have to find her before she gets hurt and Grimmjow comes and blow everything up!" Hisagi raised his eyebrow. "I don't think it would come to that…Oichi is pregnant you know. She probably ran off to the bathroom. She moves faster then normal when she has to go. I have seen it before when she was carrying the twins. She nearly ran over some people because of it." Momo blinks and hums. "Well yeah…that is true." "Don't overreact to little things. Oichi is a big girl and she can take care of herself. You should be focusing more on work."
Kira walked over to the door. "Aren't you a little bit curious about who is about to become your new boss? Oichi could be out of a job today." "I know…but I don't have a say in it. When you put all the facts together, Kensei is much more fitting for the job. He ran it before Tosen, and he has more experience in the division. The older workers know him, and he does have connections with the media. That helps us out in a big way. As for Oichi, she does not have a lot of work with the media. That was placed on me. In turn, she took something as low as the small fashion division and made that into something big. Like your divisions, when Tosen left it stained us and a lot of people lost faith in working with us. We lost people, debts were made, I felt like I was knee deep in a bunch of paperwork and way over my head. Oichi made that load lighter for me and with her love for fashion she made it into a big impact. It got people looking at our division in a different light, and with the money she made for her projects we were able to get out of debts and help other divisions when they needed a hand."
He sighs. "They are both great in what they do but at the end of the day our division works solely with media, newspapers, magazines, and so forth. When something big happens, we are supposed to be the first to know and get ahead of it before it hits the streets. Sadly, Oichi has not even touch that line of work. We need someone who already knows it." Momo frowns. "Then what will happen to Oichi?" "I don't know. Maybe she will get placed back into her first position when she got here…I do not know the details of what is going to happen. I did not even know he was back until yesterday when I saw the news. His return has been in the dark and it has caused mix reactions for the division. We will just have to wait like everyone else for when the meeting comes to an end." Momo sighs and then nods in agreement. "Yeah, but whatever happens Oichi needs to know that, as her friends, we will support her no matter what happens. Just like last time. In fact, let us plan a game night for tomorrow night!" "A game night? It has been a while since we had one." Kira says. "Yeah, and our circle of friends has been growing to. It will be fun." Momo says. "I'll start making plans right away! Kira you send out a mass message to everyone about game night and Hisagi you get your drink list ready and make something non acholic for Oichi." Hisagi chuckled. "Sure thing, but don't you want to wait a little bit on that? Toshiro and the others are still in the hospital." "Oh right! I nearly forgot." Momo places a hand on her chin and thinks. "Okay, once everyone has recovered, we can chance the game night to a celebration party? Celebrate that our friends came out okay. Either way we are having a party." Kira and Hisagi nods. "Agreed. Let's meet for lunch today and talk more about it." "You aren't having lunch with Flo today?" Kira asked. Hisagi rubs the back of his head. "No…I…well with everything going on and…" Momo held her hand up. "Nope! Stop right there. Let's meet back here in my office for lunch. You can spill the beans then okay?"
"What are you three doing?" They turned to see Iba and Nanao walking up to them. "I could ask the same thing. Aren't you two a little far from your divisions?" Hisagi asked. Nanao pushed her glasses up. "We were looking for you Hisagi. We thought you were escorting Oichi to the meeting hall, but we saw her walking with Renji. She looked like she had been crying." Hisagi frowned. "Must be from whatever happen between her and Kensei…" "None the less, we came to speak to you because we heard a very…complicated rumor that was floating around at the head of the center. We wanted to see if you knew anything about it." "What kind of rumors?" Momo asked. "It has to deal with the relations with Oichi's father…" Hisagi shrugs. "I don't much about the man myself. His records are either sealed or gone. Look, I am a bit busy, but we are having lunch in Momo's office. Why don't you two come back and we can sit down and talk about this." Iba sighs. "Very well, I heard that the meeting will be nearly all day anyways. We will be back at lunch time." They walked past him. Kira rubbed his chin. "I wonder what rumors are floating around now."
At the meeting hall, everyone but Yamamoto, Soifon, Toshiro, Kensei, and Oichi was there. Shinji sighs. "This is stupid…why have a meeting when the prime people are late." "Oichi is pregnant, I would rather her not rush to get here." Unohana says. "Who cares if she is late, all that I care about is if she is finally losing her position or not." Mayuri grunts out. Shinji rolls his eyes. "How is Toshiro by the way?" He asked Unohana. "He is recovering well. A mild concussion and a few other injuries. He should be back to work within the week after I clear him of course." Jushiro smiles. "That is good to here. It is a shame that we got tricked by Aizen. We lost many men, but I am glad that we were able to save just as many." Unohana nods. "Yes, I am glad as well, though the process of telling who friend or foe is is still ongoing."
The door to the hall opened and Kensei walked in. Byakuya narrowed his eyes slightly. "Where is Oichi?" "How should I know." He says going to a seat next to Sajin. Just when he was about to grab it Sajin placed his own hand on the chair. "This seat is for Oichi. Why are you not with her?" Kensei sighs. "She ran off to the bathroom and told me to go on ahead. What do I look like her babysitter? Now move your hand." Shinji groans. "The plan was for you two to walk here together so that it looked like you both were friendly. It servers no purpose if you leave her and get here yourself." "I don't care Shinji. You think I give two shits about what people have to say about me?" "I wasn't worried about you." Shinji says scratching his nose. "Why would I bother wasting my time worrying about you anyways. That is to much effort." Kensei ignored Shinji and turned to Sajin. "Are you going to move?" "I will not. Toshiro is not here for the moment. You can use that chair." "Are you really going to make a issue of where I sit?" "No, but it looks like you are trying to make it into a bigger issue. Until we learn what is going on Oichi is still consider the overseer of division 9. You will show her some respect." Kensei glared at him. "Why you…"
"Now, now…Kensei don't get all ruffled up." Rose says. "Just take Toshiro seat for now. Do not make a big issue over a seat that does not belong to you." Kensei was about to say something when the doors to the halls opened and Oichi walked in. She sighs out holding her stomach. Her face was still a bit puffy from crying in the bathroom. Sajin got up slightly moving Kensei out of the way. "Are you alright Oichi?" He asked walking to her. He offered his hand, and she took it. "I'm fine. Just a little winded. Bathroom break." She looked at Kensei. "…I'd like to apologize to you…" Kensei frowned. "I am sorry that I snapped at you. You were right, I should have gave you a more proper response when you thanked me for my hard work." All eyes turned to Kensei. "…I see…I also apologize for what I said…it was wrong for me to even say that especially right now." Shinji frowned. "What did you say?" "Don't worry about it." Kensei says. He walks to Toshiro's chair. "If it's enough to make Oichi cry then I want to know about it." Oichi takes her seat and sighs out in a bit discomfort. "Are you sure you okay?" Sajin asked. "I am fine. My body can get a little sensitive when my emotions are all over the place. It brings me a slight discomfort in my lower back and side, and it becomes a little painful to sit down."
The back doors opened and Soifon and Yamamoto finally walked in. Everyone but Oichi stood up. When he took his seat, everyone sat back down. "Welcome to this morning evening. We have a lot to discuss so let us get right into it. Firstly, as always reports on the divisions, then we will discuss the damage that has affected us during the attack on Aizen, and then we will discuss some changes that will be happening once this meeting is over. Division 2 start with your reports now."
At Orihime's and Ichigo's. Orihime was home alone doing some housework. There was a knock at the door. Wiping her hands on her apron she went to the door and opened it to see Tasaki. "Tasaki? Hey!" Tasaki smiled. "Hey Orihime, sorry to drop by unannounced." Orihime let her in. "Do you want something to drink?" "Na, I just need a break from the house." She followed Orihime to the kitchen and sat at the table. "So how is the married life?" "It's great. Ichigo is working right now and Kazui is at daycare and I have the day off so I thought I would clean the house and figure out what to cook for dinner." Tasaki hums out. "Sure, sounds like a dream. I was thinking with all the days I spend with Noah and Uryu we don't go out as much as moms." "What do you mean?" Orihime asked. "I want to go out and eat. Just us moms. Ichigo and the boys can watch the kids while we get a little break?" Orihime smiles. "That sounds wonderful. Did you have a date in mind?" "No, my schedule is kind of pack, but it was just a thought. We haven't spent much time together you know." Orihime grabbed two glasses and a bottle of barefoot. "How about now? We can have a glass of wine and talk about the good times and plan what we are going to do?" Tasaki smiled. "Great! We should make some mini sandwiches to." Orihime hums out. "Sounds good! Let's get started then!"
At a furniture store, Jess and Ulquiorra were looking for a new bed set for their room. Last night, things got a bit too rough and their bed had broken. Jess's face turned slightly red from thinking about it. She was pushing a buggy while Ulquiorra was pushing the stroller that Nova was in. Her baby bag was in the back of it. Jess rubbed her face. "So we need a new bed and I guess we can go head and pick up some more things for the room. I also want a small couch in front of bed like Oichi had at her home? Or at least a small footstool." Ulquiorra nods and followed her to the bedding area. Jess smiled looked at some of the beds. "Hmm…something a bit bigger than our last one and more studier…" As she looked at the prices Ulquiorra glanced to the right to see a man standing not to far from them. His eyes narrowed and turned back to Jess.
The man soon walked away and disappeared around the corner. He pressed his back to the wall and pulled out a phone. Hitting the call button, it speed dialed a number. "Hey it's me…" He whispered. "It looks like I was made. This is going to be more difficult than we thought…" He waited and nods. "I understand…I will not fail you." He hangs up and walks out of the store. He pulled out a picture of Nova. "The child will be ours and nothing will stop us…"
Grimmjow was at work, sitting in his small office. He was on his laptop and phone looking up a venue for his and Oichi's wedding. He did not want to do it in this city. To many shitty memories. Oichi was going to take care of all the clothes, guest, and invitations. He was looking for a place for them to get married, catering, and making a date. He wanted to get married as soon as possible but he wanted this to be a special day for Oichi. "How many people booked it? Are you kidding me!? Ugh…no…no I don't want to wait for THAT long jeez." He hangs up the phone. He groans out and rubs his head. "Everything is either booked, sold out, or has a long wait…nothing stands out either."
There was a knock on the door, and it opened. Harribel walked in. "Hey, I think you have a visitor?" Grimmjow raised his eyebrow. Harribel took a step to the side and Ronnie walked in. Behind him was a woman with long black curly hair with dark skin. She smiled brightly looking at him. Grimmjow stood up. "Your Oichi's grandfather right…Ronnie?" "Good that you remembered. This is my wife, Faye. Oichi's grandmother and Danni's mother." Faye walked up to Grimmjow and grabbed his hands. "On behalf of our family I happily welcome you!" Grimmjow was a bit confused by this friendly attitude. Unlike Ronnie and Danni, Faye bore no sense of danger that he felt from them. "Thank you…" He says. She let his hands go. "I'm so sorry to pop by like this but after seeing those cute pictures of our great grandchildren I had to come down here and meet you and hold those cuties! Then Ron tells me you and Oichi are getting married! I could not be more overjoyed, so I made him bring me down here." Ronnie sighs. "You should have stayed home…you should be more concerned about your health."
Faye ignored him. "I wanted to know dear, have you made a date for the wedding and are you doing it here in the city?" "No and No…I can't find the perfect place right now." Faye's eyes lit up. "Perfect! I know a great place for you! It can be on her home island!" "Her…home?" Faye nods. "I don't know if Oichi talked to you about it, but her island is the perfect place to get married! It would be so special to her and her children can see where she grew up at, of course they may be too young to remember it." Grimmjow rubbed his chin. "I would have to talk to Oichi about it. How would we get there? I thought it was isolated." "It is, but her father has a special plane to get there and your friends and whoever else is coming wouldn't have to pay a thing. Lillian would never allow that." "Lillian?" Grimmjow asked. "Oh, that's her other grandmother, Dante's mother. She is kind of like the mayor, tribal leader, queen, whatever you want to call it over there." "Q-Queen!?" Grimmjow says shocked. Ronnie sighs. "Faye, we need to get going. We need to find a hotel and let Danni know we are here." "Why a hotel? Just stay at out place." Grimmjow says. "Really? You wouldn't mind?" Faye asked. Grimmjow took out his keys and handed them to her. "Oichi is in a meeting at work right now and depending on how it goes she may need her grandparents right now." Ronnie frowned. "What do you mean by that. "It's a long story, I can explain when I get off at 4. I have to get the girls." Faye smiled. "Thank you dear. I guess we will talk a little more when you get off." She turned to Ronnie. "Come along honey. There is a few stops I want to make." Ronnie rubbed the space between his eyes. "Woman we need to get you to the house so you can rest." "I can rest later now come on!" She says pulling him out the door.
Grimmjow was left standing there. 'Huh…I was expecting her to be more like Danni…' He crossed his arms. 'Oichi's home. I think that would be perfect, but would she want to go back there?' He sat back down at his desk as Harribel walked up to him. "Quite the lovely couple." "Yeah, I suppose…why are you still here?" She put a folder in front of him. "It's for Jess's shop. We just need a few copies of these, your signature, and the green light to finish the last of it. Then it will be finished. Ahead of schedule." "Alright, I'll go and do the last look around to make sure everything is in place." Harribel nods. "Also, we got a lot of new workers from the center and even outside sources. Working with Nnoitra the school will be finished ahead of schedule as well." "That's good. Keep me update on how Nnoitra is working with others." Harribel nodded and watched him open the folders and sigh his name. "Have you found a location for the new day care center?" "No, I'll just upgrade the old one bit by bit. Expanded it a little, get the kids new toys and rooms and so on. No need to build a new one when the building itself is fine." Harribel nods. He gave her the folder back. She left, closing the door behind her. He sighs and leans back in his chair. 'I wonder how the meeting is going….'
In the meeting hall, the reports were done and Byakuya was finishing up the damage reports on Aizen's building.
"Aizen and Tosen has completely disappeared. We have yet to find any leads on him. The folders that Soifon recovered are with Mayuri's division and have yet to find anything of use. As well, the boy that was captured by Zaraki is in a holding cell but after attempts to talk to him it looks like he is incoherent of any questions. He will not talk, and barely eat and we are still currently rummaging through the piles in Aizen's building. It seems unrest as taken in with the residents as well. We should find out a way to handle it before it becomes a riot in the streets."
He sat down. Yamamoto was silent for a moment. "…Does anyone have ideas on how we can keep the citizens calm." There was silence. Kensei huffs out. "Get the press out there and tell them that the citizens will be merged with the center. The city has been spilt on two sides for to long anyways. The center can now have full control over the city like it already should have been." Jushiro sighs. "I do not think that will be a good idea. Some of those people may still be on Aizen's side even if he abandon them. No matter what terrible things he did he still led them and gave them a life." "A life? Ha…they were not doing any better before he went over there. They follow him because they were weak." Kenpachi says. "I say we go over there with a force and give them a choice. Either surrender or go down fighting." "Don't be a fool…" Shinji says. "They would be up in arms and ready to go down fighting or they will run away and curse the center like they always had."
Oichi rubbed her chin. 'I think mama has connections over there…I wonder…' She glances at Soifon. "Do you have something to say Oichi?" Yamamoto asked. She played with her fingers under the table. "Well…I know that my mother and Yoruichi have connections over there. Could there be a chance that Soifon has some to?" Soifon looked at her. "What are you getting at." "The people over there are scared and in a panic. They do not fully know what is going on and if we just throw some random force at them, they will surely get violent and escalate the issue. If my mother, you and Yoruichi can go over there and they see familiar faces they would more likely understand the situation." Shunsui smiled. "That is a good idea but, what happens when they don't listen to them and attack your mother and the others." Oichi sighs. "I think we all know that my mother can handle herself. Plus, from what I heard she was well known with Barragan…" She trailed off. "…His children…" They looked at her. "Barragan's children. It was thanks to his efforts that most of those people could live a bit better right? Mom helped the center regular the affairs. Yoruichi and Soifon had units in there to keep anything from going out of to control right?" Yamamoto nods. "You are correct."
"Then his children his older son Ben. They could help keep the peace." Oichi says. Shinji sits up. "That could actually work…you are close with those brats and aren't you watching the youngest one?" Oichi nods. "Yes, I think having either Ben or Lexton will help better the situation. If things still go wrong, then I think we should go back to reevaluate what Aizen had over them." "Over them? Meaning?" Kensei asks. Oichi pouted slightly. "Do I really have to explain that?" Kensei gave her a confusion look. Oichi sighs. "My fiancé? Grimmjow? Him and Aizen's other top people were not with Aizen out of loyalty. Money, power, fame, a better lifestyle…Aizen was able to give them what they wanted but as soon as he could not do it, they left. That must be some kind of proof that can be said for the people that were following him. At least someone of them."
Byakuya crossed his arms. "You have a point. If this peaceful tactic of yours do go up in flames, we will need to investigate everything Aizen has done up to this point, with the people themselves not just his company. You may be wet behind the ears on this subject, but you do pose a great idea for this type of situation. If it were allowed, I would like to be the one to speak to the sons of Barragan." Oichi nods and smiles feeling like Byakuya compliment her. "I can get you Ben, but Lexton is another issue. You may have to speak to Jess about that." "Oh? Why so?" "Lexton has been spending a lot of time with her uncle, Jetter Mikcloud." Yamamoto head lifted. 'Jetter huh…looks like another troublesome boy has enter the fray…'
"With Jess being in your division you can stress more then me how important it is for Lexton to come speak to you. She can contact her uncle and hopefully he will listen to reason however…I don't think you should speak with him if he does bring Jetter…" Oichi says sighing.
"That is true." They turn to Yamamoto. "With that being said, I will speak to them myself. Jushiro and Shunsui you will accompany me." Oichi taps her chin. 'Does…he know Jetter? I wonder…' "Byakuya you may speak to the other son alone and get him up to speed. I want this matter settle quickly." Byakuya nods. "With that said this meeting in concluded. I would like everyone but Oichi Yamamoto, Shunsui Kyoraku, Kensei Muguruma, Shinji Hirako, and Jushiro Ukitake to leave the room.
Once the others left, Yamamoto let out a soft breath. "I want to do this with those who only knew. Oichi there is something I wish to discuss with you." Oichi frowned. "Okay…" "I am sure you already know but I am replacing you with Kensei for your position in division 9." Oichi sighs but nods. "Yes…" "I would first like to thank you for everything you have done with that division, but your skills and talents do not belong in that division. I had asked you to not get to involved in the politics behind it and even though your life has been surrounded by difficulties you pushed through. I want you to know that this is not the end for you. I promise to find a position that will perfect your known abilities. I cannot simply let a bright woman as yourself leave the center after all." Oichi smiled a bit. The ache in her heart started to fade away. She may be losing her job, but it was nice to hear that she would be able to still work somewhere in the center.
"Thank you, sir, but…why did you have to tell me this in front of so little people? Not that I am complaining…" Oichi asked. "That is for a different reason…there is a truth that has been hidden for you." "There has?" "How much do you know about your last name?" Yamamoto asked. Oichi hums. "I only know that it was my grandfather's name and his family name, and my grandmother kept it. My grandpa died before I was born so I do not really know anything more then that. It's a pretty common last name…" "Yes, but your bloodline does not lie. I have been tormented by a secret only a few know. Two of those being your parents." Oichi frowned as the ache in her heart started to return. She did not like where this was going.
Shunsui locked his fingers and sighs. "Your father, Dante Yamamoto, as you know use to work in this company. He worked alongside the second division and help with more behind the scenes activities. We basically gave him the dirtier jobs and he settled them quite well." Yamamoto eyes opened and they looked clearly at Oichi. She nearly let out a random whimper and she did not know why. Her body instantly went on guard from the fear that went through her body. 'W-Why does my body doing this and why is he staring at me so intensely.' She speaks to herself.
"Your father is a daring man young one and he has something over my head that allowed him to get away with certain things. One of them including setting Grimmjow free and having all the evidence 'disappear' so that we could not have a case against him." Oichi frowned and started rubbing her fingers. "A-Am I going to be punished after all? For my dad's actions?" She asked shaking slightly. "No, No of course not." Jushiro quickly says. "It's just we want you to know how dangerous your father is and why you were thrown into such a role." "A role?" Oichi asked and then frown. "Like a pawn!? A scapegoat? A placeholder for this pissing contest!?" She shouted in anger.
"Oichi no…if you just listen…" Shunsui says. "No! I am done listening! I do not know what you all have against my father, but I want to be left out of it! I know exactly how dangerous my father is! Why do you think I want nothing to do with his work!? I refuse to let him bring my children into whatever the hell he is doing! I will never allow him to place a ball and chain on my family like he did me and my brother!" She stands up in a hurry nearly tipping herself over. Shinji went to help her, but she smacked his hand away. "If you want dirt on my dad then find someone else to do it! Whatever Venda you have against him, take it up with him! I no longer want to be a apart of this! If handing in my badge and leaving this company is what it takes for me to finally, finally be free of this crap then that is what I will do! You can have everything!"
She goes to walk out of the meeting room. "I am afraid I cannot allow you to leave without hearing me out." Yamamoto says. Oichi stopped and turned around with a glare. "With all due respect, sir…I am leaving. I do not want to a pawn in your game nor do I want any 'role'. I just want to live in peace with my family." Yamamoto stands up. "You young people just don't know when to stop talking and listen. You are right. We used you to bring Dante out of hiding. We placed you in difficult positions with hopes that you would run to him and tell him to fix it but, we overlooked the fact that the boy taught you how to live without him. When you had your café, I made the order to have you removed not because you were with Grimmjow but because of your father. The decision to have you come to the center was thrown around, but it was me who placed you at the head of the 9th division until I made arrangements for another to come in. You were never really need. All we wanted was Dante. You just happened to be the perfect person for us to act on our plans."
Oichi held back the tears and her head dropped. She felt hurt and used. What was the point up to know? Why did everyone think that by bother her, her father would ever come. It hurt to know that she truly was nothing more then a pawn in someone else's game. "…That…is what I had thought originally but I can see I was wrong…" Oichi's head pops back up and she turns fully around to Yamamoto. "I saw how hard you worked even when you were thrown into this position. You gave us ideas that we would not have thought of given what was going on. Out of everyone in the divisions it was only you who were looking out not only for us, but for the people out there. Yes, you lack experience but with the proper training, studying, and effort…you would be fit to take over once I am gone."
Oichi blinks twice before the words register in her brain. She gave him a thrown off look. "E-Excuse me? You said…I would be fixed to take over? After…you?" Yamamoto walked up to her. "Yes, dear child. For years, I have run this place but even I have my limits. Old age will soon catch up to me and I need a true successor." Oichi was still confused. "I don't understand. Don't you have children?" "Indeed…I did have a child, but I they were lost to me though certain meanings." Oichi's heart was racing. "So why me!? Please stop beating around the bush." She held her belly. Her baby was moving around, feeling her nervousness.
"Your father has been blackmailing me to get what he wants from me. That day you saw him beaten by me; it was on that day when I learned he never got rid of the records. The records of my family history or so to speak…I came to a decision that if he would not tell you then I would for the sake of the company to rise stronger than ever. So that I could get rid of this regret in my heart and to finally put peace on my soul. To release all the power he has over me due to a mistake. Oichi…despite all what you were told we do share a connection and it is more than just the same last name. It is a connection through your grandfather Anthony." Yamamoto held his cane tight. "Anthony…was…he was my son." Oichi's eyes widen in shock. "Wha…What!? My grandpa!?" "Yes, and that my dear makes you my great granddaughter…by blood."
Nothing was clicking in her mind. "No…No you are lying. My grandma told me that both of their parents passed away due to illness. She said Grandpa never spoke of his family other then that." "Yes, and he was right to say that. Back then I had many enemies and if they knew I had a son then he would be in danger but that was not his reasoning to say that but it's the matter of the facts that you are tied to me Oichi and as my blood, when the time has come, I want to leave all that I built to you." Oichi started to breath heavy a little. 'Genryusai Yamamoto…he is daddy's grandpa? No…no, no, no…this can't be right.' "I…I need to go." Oichi says as she quickly ran out of the meeting hall.
Shunsui gets up. "I will go after her." "No, leave her be. I am sure she is going to call her father to confirm it and then we will see what will happen next." Yamamoto says. "What if she decides to run away?" Kensei says. "She is free to do whatever she wants with her life, but I will not live under that boy's thumb for a secret such as that. If she accepts this then, I will sit her down and tell her everything she wants to know. Should she run away then I will go on as I did before." He closed his eyes. 'Jenny…forgive me…'
Kensei got up. "I understand sir, but the girl is pregnant and in a panic state, leaving her alone would be dangerous. I will go after her." Shinji frowned. "You will make things worse. She already doesn't like you." "Like I care." Kensei says rushing out of the meeting room.
Oichi was rushing down the halls in panic. She was looking down, going through her purse looking for her phone. "I have to call daddy. I need to know what the hell is going on." Tears ran down her cheeks. It was not from her feeling sad or mad. She was confused and worried. If everything he said was true, what made her grandfather cut him off so deeply to where her father can use it as blackmail material. Why did her dad not say anything to her at all!? She stopped and bit her lip. 'Of course, he wouldn't tell me that…if he could keep my brother and Izzy a secret for as long as he did then I am sure he could keep something massive like this locked away.' She gripped her fist and sped off, going back to her purse.
"Hey girl!" She heard someone yelling but she ignored it, knowing it was Kensei. "I said HEY GIRL!" He yelled out rushing after her. Oichi huffed out still not paying attention to where she was going." "Woman would you stop! Wait! Watch where…!" "I will not stop while you are calling me 'girl' or 'woman' I told you my name is…" She took a step and felt nothing. She froze as she felt herself falling forward. Her eyes glanced up and she cursed herself over and over. She had forgotten about the stairs. "Oichi!?" Kensei yelled out in terror.
