Prologue
Eleanor Tudor watches as her brother weathered away due to his age or rather his illness from his leg. She the regent princess care for her older brother who showered her with attention and love when their parents passed away at such a young age.
"Brother" She whispers as he groans as he looked as if he is in between the land of the living and the dead.
"Oh, Ellie."
Ellie that childhood nicknamed that Henry gave with such affections and love despite what faults of whom.
"I have done what I believe was given to me by right as God has for kings."
"You had a heavy burden that only you had bear alone. You only wanted to make England great, and no King wants his country under anyone's control. You fought for England against Spain, France, Scotland, and Rome."
Her brother, Harry simply chuckles and coughed a bit. "You know me too well. Mother often doted on you more because you look more like York princess than Tudor princess."
Eleanor patted on her brother's hand. "I still remember that day when I was only a scared girl at the tender age of 14 barely any idea that differences in court left and right. Yet it was you letter those pleas for my help against the dowager princess, Katherine."
Harry laughs, "Not Queen Katherine."
"That woman is no queen of mine. She had betrayed us to her Spanish country. In my opinion, you should have never married her at all. She tricked you into marrying you despite she was Arthur's widow." She retorted.
Katherine of Aragon was a scheming woman who lusted her poor brother Harry and the crown. He recently lost who lost two of their parents that year and Katherine took advantage of him. Making herself a virtuous lady and not a dowager/widow for their beloved country.
'Katherine is truly a scheming woman like her parents.'
Eleanor thought privately herself.
Henry looked exhausted and asked, "Eleanor dear. Tell me, a story again. So, that I could remember more before my rest."
His sister smiled and nodded.
"Of course, I hope you are ready." She took a seat next to her brother's bed.
"A king is always ready for anything." Their father's words always put a smile on their faces.
She held his hand and started their story.
"The year of our Lord, 1527. It began my plan to escape from being Katherine's hostage…."
~ THE YEAR 1527~
The fourteen-year-old, Princess Eleanor Tudor and duchess of Hertford quickly packed her things with her closet and allies, Henry Percy would manage to grab a few small able men to help her.
'Katherine, you had gone too far this time!'
Eleanor snarled in anger.
Henry Percy went under orders of King Henry to have her come to court, but her so-called guards turned every messenger away from being too ill or not wished to bother with anyone.
Secretly send her mother the former queen Elizabeth her ring and letter attached that quickly said, "I am being held captive by the queen."
The messenger was loyal to Henry and send Henry Percy to clarify what's going on with his sister.
Eleanor got her hands on evidence against Katherine. Finally, she is getting out of here and returning to court with her family again.
It is a stack of letters that would change history forever.
Eleanor waited for Henry Percy and his able men in the middle of the night.
The plan was simple, start a fire that would be distracting enough for Henry Percy to storm in while others are fighting his men or putting out the fire.
KA-BOOM!
Her home shook as she heard men shouting and swords being drawn.
She changes her clothes to wear mean's trousers and pulled her hair up as disguised.
She grabbed a dagger to defend herself just in case someone come and attack her. Her door bang open standing there is Henry Percy himself.
"Lord Percy." She confirmed his identity.
"Princess Eleanor," Henry said as she nodded.
"How much time do we have?" She already walked out with Lord Percy. "Not long, but we have your horse to run."
"You shall be rewarded and your men will be remembered should they perish." They ran out and two men ready their horse and the other two soldiers who ran with the horses.
"My Thanks. HAH!" Theirs urged their horses to run back to their court and King Henry.
Eleanor Princess of York and Duchess of Hertford was Katherine's prisoner for 8 years is now free. The real reason why she has held a prisoner in her estate was because of Katherine's secret.
Her brother Henry deserved to know the truth once and for all.
