Chapter 25
It was a rainy and stormy day in the city. At Jess's coffee bar, Grimmjow walked in. He sighs shaking off the umbrella. He was dressed in a dark blue suit with a large black overcoat. Today he was going to sit in on a small meeting at the center to discuss the changes for his company. He walked over to the bar where Tatsuki was. "Hey, Grimmjow. Your regular cup of morning joe?" "Yeah." Tatsuki put his order in and walked to the coffee area and made him a cup of coffee in a to-go cup. "You are coming here a lot these days." Tatsuki says bringing him his cup. Grimmjow paid for it and sighs. "Hate to say it but this is the only place that makes a decent cup of coffee…don't tell your boss I said that." Tatsuki chuckled and rubbed her eye slightly. Grimmjow raised his eyebrow. "You good?" "Oh…yeah you know…" "Mmhm…I know that look." "Look? What look?" "You and that husband of yours doing, okay?" Tatsuki frowns and sighs. "Maybe…I don't know…lately I'm starting to think I was a little too fast in settling with him…don't get me wrong, I love him but…" She shakes her head. "Hold up, how do you know it's about him?" Grimmjow smirked. "Oh…right…" She rubbed her head. "Well look, don't
He shrugs. "Suit yourself. Just talk to someone before it becomes a pain." He walked to a back table where he spotted Ulquiorra. "Yo…" He says sitting down in front of him. Ulquiorra looked up. He had a bunch of paperwork on the table along with a cup of coffee and some cheesecake. "Grimmjow…" "Ulquiorra…" They stared at each other before a shadow overlooked the table. Both men looked up to see Nnoitra standing there. He took a seat next to Grimmjow. "So…this it?" "Not really. Harribel is over there ordering something to eat but other than that…yes." Ulquiorra says.
Grimmjow signs and sips on his coffee. "Ever think we would get this far?" Nnoitra chuckled. "Course not…I was sure we would be locked up in jail or killed. I was hoping for killed. Don't think there is a prison that can hold me." Ulquiorra ate some of his cake. "I was hoping Oichi would be mine by this point in time." Grimmjow narrowed his eyes. "That was some sick shit you did…" "What he do?" Nnoitra asked with a smirk. "Don't pretend to be innocent. You know what he did." Grimmjow said with a growl. "Stalking my woman. Attacking her. Traumatizing her." "To be fair it wasn't supposed to go that way…" "You put her in a fucking hospital! What other way was there!?"
Harribel walked over with a plate full of cake. Ulquiorra moved over, letting her take a seat. "Hello." "Yo." Grimmjow says. "Hey…like I don't see your face at work enough." Nnoitra says. "I heard Starrk was back in town." She says ignoring Nnoitra. "Yup, staying at our place for now." Grimmjow says with a groan. "On the subject…I think you could have gone about it the wrong way. What I want to know is why you went after her in the first place." "…She was the first person to care about someone like me. That's all you need to know." Ulquiorra says looking through the paperwork. Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "Moving on. We got shit to do. I have to be ready at this stupid meeting." "You are representing us, and it is about time the center acknowledges what we are doing." Harribel says. "Whatever…What's the progress on the school?" Ulquiorra handed them papers. "If we keep moving at the pace we have been, it should be up and running by April of next year."
Grimmjow looked at the paperwork. "If we could get some more workers at hand, we can shave at least 2 months off…but we are up to our necks at the point with Aizen's building being demolished and rebuilt. The center is giving us funds but isn't giving us a helping hand with workers." Harribel bit into her coffee cake. "What about the classes that people have been taking?" "What are you talking about?" Harribel shakes her head. "Men…it was in the memo that I sent out three months ago…there was a class in construction for the citizens in Hueco Mundo to get the extra hands we needed." Ulquiorra shifted through the papers and pulled out three papers and passed them out. Grimmjow read it and hums. "That could work…I want you to start processing those who passed the class. Even if they can just help move wood and supplies, I can use them. Oichi put a lot of work into this school, and I want it to be perfect for her. Next thing, the repairs for Hueco Mundo. What's happening there?" Nnoitra sighs as Ulquiorra hands them papers. "So far, the little box you put out is doing good. We repaired as many homes as we could, set up some buildings here and there. Everyone is settled down for now. What they want now is a bathhouse and spa-like the one around here. A restaurant, bar, and a library." Nnoitra says reaching over and taking on of Harribel cakes.
Grimmjow looked at the papers. "I have an idea for the bar. I know Danni is retiring and she wanted to open her own bar. Having her over in Hueco Mundo may do us some good. She can keep those people in check while we work. As for a library…I can make that work in our schedule, but I want to focus a little more on an orphanage." "Why." Nnoitra asked moving the papers around. "Dumbass…why do you think? All the children left on the street. You don't think it would be good for them to have a roof over their head and some food? Not to be like us?" Grimmjow says frowning. Nnoitra sighs. "I guess…but who is going to run it." "I have a few people in mind but for now, let's focus more on the school. Once that is up and running things should get a little smoother around here.
At the center, Oichi was doing her classwork in her office. She was also filing Kensei's paperwork, splitting them between least important and more important, and working on Hisagi's newspaper article. There was a knock at her door. "Come in." She called out. The door opened and Hisagi walked in. "Hey, do you have the paperwork for the meeting this evening?" Oichi held up a folder. "It's in here. Make sure you read your notes, okay?" Hisagi nods taking the folder. "Thanks. Man, we are having meetings after meetings these days. I wonder what is going on." Oichi looked up. "Your meeting today deals with the second in commands of the divisions, right?" "Yeah, there are a lot of changes we want to get approved now and with the extra hands of the Hueco Mundo now, we have even more people to hire and move around. We shouldn't waste this opportunity." "Ah…then who is meeting with Grimmjow? I didn't see that info in your folder." "Ah…well that's…" "Not for me to know?" Hisagi rubbed his head. "Sorry, Oichi. I am really not allowed to say since you know…" "I understand. Well, good luck in your meeting." Hisagi smiles and walked out, closing the door behind him. Oichi sighs and leans back. "Great…Grimmjow won't tell me, and neither will Hisagi. Bummer…even so I hope he will be okay."
In Byakuya's division, Jess and Nel were working inside today. Even though Jess now owned her own business she still had to come and show her face here at the center. She was under Oichi but now since Kensei is in charge, she worked mainly under Byakuya when she needed to. Nel groans as she pushed paperwork out the way. "I need to find something better than this…" Jess chuckled. "You can come work at my bar? Or Oichi's fashion store." "I could but none of those fit me…now that I think about it, I don't even know what I want to do now. Don't have any dreams, to be honest. I had one but it was when I was with Aizen. He made it clear that I wouldn't have the talent for that, and I just disregard everything else after."
"What did you want to be?" Jess asked filing some paperwork. Nel sighs. "Well…a long time ago I enjoyed writing stories and reading. I thought it could be a passion or something, but it was nothing more than a hobby." Nel smiles. "I love reading, all types of books too. At my old home, I had collected so many old books and had an entire archive but, when I decided to leave Aizen, he took everything from me. I wanted to start over but then I had Grayson to take care of and he became my life." Jess taps on her desk. "Maybe you can open your own bookstore?" "My own…what? No…I don't have time for that. Plus, I said I like reading books. What would be the point in selling them?" "To help people find their own joy in reading." Jess says smiling. "Think about it this way. You claim you lost your love for writing and reading when Aizen shut you down. How did that make you feel?" "It made me mad really and disappointed…I felt like I missed out on a great opportunity." "Then this might be the way to get it back. There is an old bookstore right in the middle of Oichi's shop and my coffee bar. It's run by this really nice older lady. She sells a lot of old fashion books and stuff. Maybe go talk to her about working there or buying the place from her." "Okay, and how would I get the money for that? It's not like we are working on a great salary here?" "Me and Oichi will help you, of course, Oichi has her dream job, and I got my own store as well. The least we can do is help you get your dream job started, whatever that may be." Nel frowns and looks down. "I don't know. I feel like I am asking way too, much of you both…" "Blah, Blah, Blah, talk to Oichi on your break. I'm sure she will feel the same way." Jess says smiling brightly. Nel chuckled. "Okay…I suppose it couldn't hurt."
She taps her finger on the desk and then chuckled. "You ever thought about dating a man like Byakuya?" Jess's face turned red. "W-What?" "Oh, come on. You never thought about it?" Jess avoided her look. "I have a fiancé Nel." "So? I'm married. This is just some girl talk. Like we do at the tea parties. I don't think he is my type. I think he is super uptight and maybe boring in bed."
Jess hums. "I think…that is just a mask. I know he lost his wife to an illness. I'm sure he is a gentle and kind soul. He looks like the type to spoil his lover with small gifts on random days you know." Nel nods. "Yeah, I can kind of see that. He might be super romantic too. Woe you in different ways, take you fancy dinners, make you feel special. Plus, he hasn't had a woman since his wife died. I bet he is an animal in bed with all that pent-up energy." Nel sighs. "The very opposite of my husband. Man, I think I missed out somewhere." Jess laughed. "I'm sure Nnoitra has a romantic side to him somewhere in that body of his." "Ha! I can't remember the last time I was waited and doted on. I go home, take care of the kids, take a bath, and sleep." "Oh, maybe we should all go out!" Jess says smiling brightly. "We can go on a triple date oh wait…what if we all meet up at the party house? When was the last time we did something together?" Nel's eyes sparkled. "I love the way you think. I'll text Momo and we gotta find a babysitter."
Outside, the storm was getting worst. The winds were blowing, howling through the city. People were trying to rush inside the building hoping the rain would at least stop but it only poured more. At the daycare center, Mila was looking out the window at the store. "I know the weather was supposed to be bad, but it looks like something worse is coming." She bit the back of her nail. "I'm gonna call the parents, the children shouldn't…" "Ms. Mila!" She turned to see Bella running to her with a picture in her hand. "I drew this for you!" Mila took the picture and smiled. It was a heart with her name in the middle. "This is really sweet of you Bella. Your artwork is getting better." Bella giggled blushing. "Thank you!" Bella turned to run off until she spotted Kendric sitting at the color station. She gasps and looks down holding her hands together. Mila noticed her quick change and looked at Kendric. She sighs. "Bella if you want to sit with him, you can." Bella shook her head. "No…h-he doesn't like me…" "How do you know that?" Bella shrugs. "See, you haven't tried to be his friend yet." She walks around Bella and gets on her knees. "Like your brother, that boy has been through some tough times. He needs a strong girl who will protect him and make him feel safe just like you do for Eli." Bella looked up. "Really?" "Yup! And as strong girls, we have to make sure our guys stand tough in front of everyone."
"Is that what you do for daddy?" Bella asked. Mila blushed slightly and chuckled. "In a way yes, your father is different, but I do want to make sure he is the best for you and your brother." "He talks about you a lot! Are you going to be my new mom!?" Bella asked getting excited. Mila got more flustered. "Listen, that is a level your father and I haven't reached yet. Besides we are talking about you being friends with Kendric right?"
Bella smiled. "O-Okay! I wanna be his friend! How do I do that!" "First, talk to him and then play with him every day even if he tries to ignore you but…" She rubbed Bella's head making her smile. "I don't know how anyone would ignore such a cute thing like you." Bella giggled. "Okay. He likes auntie Ichi. I'll talk about her!" She ran over to the table. Mila sighs and stands up. "They would make something cute one day."
At the center, all of the second commands were in a meeting. There were sitting in a private room in the middle of the 7th divisions building. Chojiro stood up. "I call this meeting into order. When I call out your name, reply with here. I need to make sure everyone is accounted for. From the 2nd division, Marechiyo Omeda." "Here I guess…what is this meeting about anyways." Marechiyo asked as he munched on an expensive brand of chips, getting the crumbs all over his chest. Chojiro ignored him. "Izuru Kira from the 3rd division." Kira raised his hand. "Here…" "Isane Kotetsu from the 4th division?" "Here." she says raising her hand. "Momo Hinamori?" "Present!" She says waving her hand. "Renji Abarai." "Yo!" He says leaning back in his chair. "Tetsuzaemon Iba." "Right here." He says as he pushes his glasses up. "Nanao Ise?" "Present. Please do hurry this meeting along. I have other things I must do." "Shuhei Hisagi." "Right here." Hisagi says with crossed arms. "Rangiku Matsumoto." There was no answer. Chojiro looked around. "Rangiku?" "Oh! Sorry! I was toning everyone out!" She says laughing. "Right…moving on…Nemu Kurotsuchi of division 12?" "I am here." She says raising her hand. "Good, then that means everyone is here." "Um…" Momo raised her hand. "Where is Yachiru?" "We will get into that later," Chojiro says sitting down.
"Now, the nature of this meeting is to talk about the changes that are happening within the center now. I want to say first that not everything is written in stone, meaning that things might change even if we talk about them and apply them so, please expect more meetings in the future. Things have been taking a progressive turn as of late especially now that we accepted the residents of Hueco Mundo. With that being said, there are three major changes that will be happening. The first is that the center is meeting with the head of Construction Depo to change the structure of the center." Eyes widen. "Wait…what do you mean by that?" Renji asked. "I mean I know that Grimmjow is meeting the big wigs, but we were never given the actual reason as to why." "I was told it was to talk about reforming some of Hueco Mundo into the center…" Hisagi said. "That is beyond your paygrade. I am only informing you that the center will be changing. Until I get more permission to speak further on the matter that is all you need to know."
Rangiku sighs, leaning on the table. "Then why bother telling us anyways…" "The next change is to the division titles. As you know our top boss is Genryusai Yamamoto, but this title will no longer be the case. You will now inform him as the CEO, Genryusai Yamamoto. Founder of the Society Prevention Center. Your bosses in charge of the divisions will be known as the presidents of their respected divisions and you all under them will be given the title of chief operating officers. It will be up to them to give you whatever title they see fit." Momo smiled. "Whoa…so is this like a promotion in a way?" "In a way…yes…I am aware that you each get a pay increase since we are moving ahead without letting too many people know. This has always been in the making but it was not passed until recently." Excitement filled the room. "As for the third matter…I must ask that the next words out of my mouth must stay in this room as this information is vital and must not make it into the public eyes." They stared at him. Chojiro cleared his throat as he passed on the valuable information.
Oichi cleaned up her desk and grabbed the folders for Kensei's work. Closing the door behind her she walked towards Kensei's office. 'Hmm…the center has been busy for the last few days. Ever since Yamamoto met the twin's things have been moving so fast.' Oichi then chuckled. "I guess it was a good idea to let him watch the twins for the day ha-ha. I hope he is okay." Reaching Kensei's office, she knocked on the door and waited. "Come in." She heard. She opened the door and walked in. Kensei was standing up getting himself together for his meeting. He smiled. "Hey." Oichi smiled back. "Hi, boss. I got your paperwork." She walked over to his desk and put it down.
"Thanks, sorry for giving you so much side work." "It's okay! It's my job after all." "I also need you to see up a division meeting while I am gone. Not for today. Probably towards the end of the month." Oichi nods "Okay…ah!" She groans and holds her belly. Kensei panicked a bit and rushed to her. "You, okay?" "Yeah…h-he is just moving around a lot lately…" She takes a deep breath. "I don't think he likes storms too much. Whenever it rains or something he thrashes around a bit." She groans a bit until Kensei places a hand on her belly. He felt a lot of kicks and movements. "He is a fighter in there." Oichi chuckle. "Yes, just like his father. It makes me uncomfortable but if I can get my hand on some pudding cups it should calm him down."
Kensei blinks and walks back to his desk. He picked up a bag that was beside his desk. "Pudding cups? Like these?" Oichi smiles. "Oh! You had some!" Kensei chuckled. "It was a reward for your hard work." Oichi giggled as he walked over with the bag. "You can eat them in the break room. I'll escort you." "What about your meeting?" "It's fine if I am a little late. Plus, think how pissed your man will be once he knows I gave you some treats and spoiled you a little." Oichi gasp playfully. "You are trying to get him riled up." Kensei smirked. "Come on."
At the coffee shop, Grimmjow and Ulquiorra were leaving together. "Why are you coming?" Grimmjow asked. "To make sure you do not bury us into a hole. I am the one who takes care of all the financial duties after all. The last thing we need is for you to get wrapped up in a deal we are unable to work with. We are still on a budget after all. Plus, that man Kensei. You lose your temper when it comes to him a lot." Grimmjow rolls his eyes out. "Whatever, you just want to see the redhead and that guy is no big deal so long as he stays away from my woman." Ulquiorra glanced at him. "If that was the case, I would have brought Nova. It would be nice to have a surprise lunch with her." Grimmjow groans. "Whatever. Let's just get this over with."
Back at the center, in Yamamoto's private office, the twins were enjoying their time with Yamamoto. Naomi was in a dark blue princess dress with black flats and a bow in her hair. "Pop!" She walked over to him with a toy in her arm. Yamamoto who was sitting at his desk looked down at her. "Yes, little one?" She giggled. "Pop-pop!" Yamamoto chuckled at her. "You seem very excited." He felt a tug on his shirt. He looked down to see Alisha had made herself quite comfortable on his lap. She was wearing a pink princess dress with a white flat and a bow in her hair as well. "Ho? Do you want to play with your sister?" He picked her up and placed her down. She smiled and walked over to Naomi.
Jushiro and Shunsui were sitting on the couch watching this. "I thought he would be more nervous, but the twins have already accepted him." Jushiro says chuckling as they watched the twins sit beside the desk and play together. Shunsui looked at Yamamoto. "You look a little too peaceful over there old man. Happy?" Yamamoto looked up at them and sighs. "Why are you two here." "To make sure you don't get too distracted with your cute grands of course. We wouldn't want you to lose track of time." Shunsui says. "Will they be coming with us?" "Yes, as their…father…would be there." "Ah, so they will be going home then?" "Not quite. I plan to make that boy work. The girls will remain here until their mother come to get them." Jushiro and Shunsui started to laugh. "Just tell him you want to spend more time with your grandchildren. It's not like you can just visit them when you see fit. You have way too much pride for that." Shunsui says wiping a tear out of his eyes. Yamamoto got up. "Whatever the case, we should get going." He looked down at the girls who stared up at them. "Let's get moving little ones." He grabbed the baby bag and that was enough to tell the girls they were going somewhere.
"You two, carry them so that we won't be late." He walked past the twins. "Pop!" Naomi got up and walked after him. Alisha followed her. Jushiro and Shunsui watched as they ran after Yamamoto. They both chuckled. "How cute." They follow them out of the office.
Walking out the door and down the open hall to the meeting room. Jushiro and Shunsui chuckled as the girls held hands as they ran after Yamamoto. "How cute." Jushiro smiled taking his phone out and taking a video.
There was suddenly a gasp. He looked up to see Alisha had fallen to the ground. She had tripped over her feet. She started to tear while Naomi pats her back. "Up! Up!" She yelled. Yamamoto stopped and turned around. He bends down on one knee and with one hand helps Alisha stand back up. He brushes her dress off and wipes the tears from her eyes with the back of his fingers. "There you are. No matter how many times you fall you must always get back up. One day you will remember these words." Alisha blinks and then giggles. "Pop…!" Yamamoto chuckled and stood back up and returned to walking. Naomi giggled and grabbed her hand. "Up!" She says smiling. Alisha giggled and they followed him. Shunsui chuckled. "He is becoming a great grandfather right before our eyes ha-ha."
Grimmjow and Ulquiorra soon pulled up to the center. Grimmjow showed the guest pass at the gate and drove inside to the 1st division building. They pulled up into the parking spots and walked out. Ulquiorra was holding the folders with the paperwork inside. They were each holding an umbrella. "Damn this storm is getting out of hand…" Grimmjow says with a light growl. "How long was the meeting supposed to be?" Ulquiorra asked. "An hour is what he said but I feel like it's about to be a pain…"
In the meeting room, everyone but Yamamoto, Jushiro, Shunsui, and Kensei was waiting. Shinji groans out. "Always late…we should get someone to serve tea or something." The door opened and Kensei walked in. "Look who showed up." Shinji said. "Oh, shut up…" He sat down and crossed his arms. 'I hope she eats those pudding cups. I don't think she took a break today. I really have to stop pushing her so much.' Kenpachi yawns. "This is boring, why do we all have to be here for this meeting…" "I hate to agree with this brute, but I also agree…" Mayuri says. "I don't care that the center is getting some upgrade or whatever." Toshiro rolled his eyes until he heard giggling. "Hm?" He looked towards the door where Yamamoto walks in. Byakuya heard it as well and turned to the door.
It opened and Yamamoto walked in with the baby bag over his shoulder. Eyes widen slightly seeing them. "Uh…Sir…" Sajin says. "Hm…I suppose we are not as late as I thought." The twins poked their heads out from behind him. "…aren't those Oichi's daughters?" Toshiro asked. "Oh my…" Unohana says covering her mouth with a giggle. "Why did you bring a bunch of children into this meeting? Mainly that woman's…" Mayuri says with disgust. "What is your deal." Kensei says. "What has she done that made you hate her so much?" "It's none of your concern on who I feel about." "It is when that person works in my division." Kensei says narrowing his eyes. "Now, now let's night fight in front of those cute little ones." Rose says with a smile. "You will scare them if you do." Yamamoto started to walk to his chair. The twins followed behind him before stopping. Naomi became curious and started walking over to the others. Alisha frowned and stopped in place. She let out a whimper from being left behind by Naomi.
She was suddenly picked up by Shunsui who chuckled. "Looks like your sister decided to explore without you." She clings to him slightly as she watched Naomi walk around the table coming to Kenpachi's side. He looked down at her with a slightly blank look. Naomi turned her head to the side and smiled. She held her hands up. "Up!" Kenpachi blinks at her. A bit shocked to see that she wasn't scared of him. He then chuckled. "You really are his kid eh." He reached down and picked her up by the back of her dress. She giggled as he dropped her on his lap. She places her hand on the table and lifted herself up to her feet and started bouncing. "A ball of excitement huh." Kenpachi says holding the back of her dress to make sure she didn't slip and fall. Mayuri snitched his teeth. "I cannot believe a buffoon like you is actually entertaining this." Kenpachi smirked. "What? You're mad because she came to me and not you. It's okay to be jealous you know." Mayuri's eye twitched. "What!? I would never be jealous of something like that! If I wanted to, I could make that child scream in joy. In fact, I'll do that now!" He reached out and snatched Naomi away making her gasp. He turned her around. Naomi's eyes grew wide. Mayuri then gave her a large grin. "Hello, disturbing child. Why don't you just…" Tears swelled up in Naomi's eyes and she started crying. Mayuri looked shocked at this. Naomi reached out for Kenpachi crying more. "Wha…What are you crying about stupid child!" This made her cry out more. Mayuri bares his teeth. Kenpachi quickly snatched Naomi away from Mayuri. "Tisk, Tisk…she's just a baby. I'd be careful if I were you…" Mayuri glared at him, but he never got a chance to respond since the entire room was glaring at him. One deathly being from Yamamoto himself. He was glaring so hard that Mayuri was becoming too scared to even breathe.
Kenpachi smirked and chuckled at him as Naomi clings to him sniffing. "Mmmm…. Mayuri…" Yamamoto says in a threatening voice. "I allowed you to speak your piece, but this will stop right here and now. These two girls are my great-great-granddaughters, and I will not allow you to spit hate against them. Do I make myself clear?" Eyes widen. "Great-Great Granddaughters?" Toshiro says. "Then does that mean Oichi is…" "Yes, Oichi is my great-granddaughter, and her father is my grandson…his father…Anthony…was my son." There was a slight pause in the room. Alisha wiggled in Shunsui's arms. "Oh? Are you getting a little more comfortable? Wanna get down?" She looked up at him. "Mama…" She says softly. "Aw…I'm sorry your mom isn't here yet." She tears up. "Mama…" "Oh no. I can't handle her if she cries. She is way too adorable for me to hold on to. Jushiro, you take her." "I don't do so well with her cries either…" He took Alisha from him and bounced her a bit. It didn't help. "Oh boy…"
"May I have her?" Sajin says. "You ever dealt with a crying child before?" Shinji asked holding his head. "No, I just want to hold her. She looks like a mini Oichi and it is very cute." He got up and walked around the table to Jushiro. "Well…here you go. She doesn't like to be held by too many people. She is very defensive." Sajin nods and picked up Alisha who tensed up in his hand. She started to panic and right as she was about to cry, Sajin lifted her high in the air. Alisha's eyes grew wide. With Sajin being a very tall and large man, he lifted her higher than Grimmjow had done before. Her teary eyes lit up as he brought her down and just lifted her back up again. Alisha started to smile and started to giggle. Sajin smiles. "What a cute smile. You look like your mother." Alisha claps her hand. "Want to go again. Very well." Jushiro chuckled. He had already taken out his phone and recorded the scene. Yamamoto opens the bag and digs in it. He pulls out two juice cups and hands one to Sajin. "Take that one to Kenpachi." "Yes sir." Sajin says walking away with Alisha in his grasp.
Naomi had recovered quickly and was now sitting back on Kenpachi and playing with his hand. She sniffled and giggled as she hit and rubbed his huge hands. Sajin handed him the juice cup. "Hmm hey squirt. You want this?" He shakes it in front of her face. "Mine!" She reached up to the cup. Kenpachi chuckled and gave it to her. She squealed and started drinking her juice. There was some cut-up fruit inside.
"This is quite a sight though…never thought I would see you of all people being gentle." Byakuya said. "Huh!? I'm always gentle when I need to be. Never a situation for gentle." Kenpachi says with a snarl. "If you say so…I hope your men do not see you as soft. I know how you like to be prideful in front of them." "What was that you…" He was about to move until he heard Naomi whimper. His sudden movements stirred her to where she dropped her cup. "Foo Foo…" He frowned and picked the cup up and handed it to her. She smiled taking the cup. "Mine!" She goes back to her cup. Kenpachi sighs and glances over at Byakuya who had a blank look on his face, but he could tell he felt very satisfied with what happened.
"Whoa…look at her go…" Kensei says looking at Alisha as she drinks her juice. "A glutton like her mom I guess?" Sajin says also impressed by this. There was a beep on the table. "Sir, he is here but…he brought someone with him?" A voice rings out. Yamamoto sighs. "Let them in…" The doors to the room opened and Grimmjow along with Ulquiorra walked in. He stopped in mid-step. "What the hell?" The twins hearing Grimmjow's voice pop their cups out of their mouths and turned around. "DADA!" They yelled with an adorable and excited look on their face. Jushiro grips his chest. "Ugh…my chest…so much cuteness…" Kenpachi snitched his teeth a bit, feeling like chop liver for some reason. Byakuya rubbed his chin. "I wonder if Ichika looks that excited to see Renji…" Toshiro looked down with a flushed face. 'If me and Momo have kids, would they look at me like that…I don't know if my heart could take that…'
The twins managed to slide off Kenpachi and Sajin's lap. Running to Grimmjow with their cups in their hands. "Dada!" Grimmjow drops down and scoops the girls up in his arms. They giggled cuddling in his arms. "Why are you two here…" "Oichi dropped them off so that they can sit with me today." Yamamoto says. Grimmjow frowned. "Right…I had forgotten about that…" Naomi peaked at Ulquiorra and reached out to him. "Hi!" Ulquiorra held his hand out and she grabbed it. He took her from Grimmjow earning a glare from him. "I told you about doing that. You got your own daughter, go hold her or something!" "Mmhm…" Ulquiorra says walking to the table. "Don't ignore me!" Grimmjow snapped.
In the cafeteria, Oichi was sitting at a table eating pudding cups. She spotted Jess and Nel walking over to her. "Hey! I didn't know you were in office today." Oichi says to Jess as they sat down in front of her. "Yeah, apparently I have to work at least 7 days out of the month to do paperwork and turn in my sales report. Since you no longer oversee your division, it goes to Byakuya instead." Oichi nods. "Sounds about right but the reports still get directed to me. So, no worries." "Where did you get the pudding cups?" Nel asked. "From Kensei." Jess and Nel glanced at each other and turned to Oichi who put her hand up. "I don't want to hear whatever lecture you both came up with. I haven't eaten just yet and the baby was thrashing around. You both know pudding cups put us both in good moods." The woman sighs.
"If you say so." Nel says. "Anyways, we are on a quick break. Nel wanted to talk about opening her own book shop." Jess says smiling. Oichi's eyes lit up. "A new bookstore would be amazing. I'm on board! I can talk to Kensei about it." Nel rubbed her arm a bit nervously. "Nel?" Oichi waves at her. "Are you okay?" "Yeah…this is…I mean it would be a big step. It's a little scary how easy this happened." Oichi laughed. "I never said it would be easy, but I can tell by the look in your eyes that you want to do this. That's reasoning enough for me to help you, okay? Us mom's gotta stick together." Nel flashed a smile. "Yeah…thanks. To both of you."
Back in the main meeting room, Alisha was relaxing in Grimmjow's arms while Naomi was resting on Ulquiorra. She sighs out in a hum slowly fighting sleep. "For the reason, I called you to be here…" Yamamoto starts. "Is because we have come to an agreement that with our resources and your company, we will start reconstruction on the center." Grimmjow nods. "Tearing down these walls start first." "What?" Mayuri yells out. "Do you know how long it took us to build these walls? Why are we tearing them down?" "What do you need the walls for now…" Grimmjow asked. "Those people on the other side nor is the city you are in are no threat to you…sure keep the gatekeeper but the fact that you people have these high ass walls makes no sense. So, they come down first." "Agreed." Yamamoto says making them all look at him. "The boy has a point. We have not been attacked or mobbed in so long that I had nearly forgotten why we had the walls in the first place. They will be removed. Division companies 7, 8, and 3 will assist you on that front. Next." "While you clowns are working on that, me and a few others will scout around time to figure out the best locations for each company." "Say what?" Shinji says. "Yes, once the walls are gone, the reconstruction of the center will include you all to take your new companies and spread them out around the city only my division will stand here. If we are to make true peace with the other side then we must first break down our own walls, figuratively speaking, and make a new change of course. If we wish for peace, then we cannot stay closed in one spot. Everyone will be granted a grand opportunity to work and make a life for themselves. If anyone has objections speak to them now." Eyes turned to Mayuri who turned his head. "I have no objections, but I do have a location in mind of where I want my new lab to be at."
Byakuya crosses his arms. "I also know where I would like to build mine." He looked at Grimmjow and Ulquiorra. "If it makes it easier on you both, I can have my own contactor build up a blueprint and even gather the materials you will need. Money to me is no issue." Ulquiorra gave a soft sign. "Very well…that will indeed help since we are on a budget. With what the center gives us and what Lexton is giving us along with the various contractors are what we are currently working with." Toshiro sighs. "So, what you're saying is that if the center stops funding you, you might go down a hole." "To a degree, yes, but it is not like we cannot survive. We were doing fine before we made a deal with the center about the school and if you should cut ties with us then we will be fine as well, just do it after our contract expires." Yamamoto sighs. "Moving on…we agreed on the walls, and some of us have already planned out where they want their new places to be…what is next?" Grimmjow frowned. He felt like he was leading this stupid meeting. "For now, that is it. This isn't a one-week thing here. We still got the school to finish and other projects to do. At best, what you are talking about would be a five-year step plan just about. Provided nothing goes terribly wrong" "Why that long?" Unohana asked. "Rome wasn't built in a day lady…" Grimmjow says rolling his eyes. "We are talking about breaking down this wall, building each of your companies in different locations, spotting the land for it, fixing Hueco Mundo, and getting the people open to the idea that the center is changing…yeah…five years minimum."
"Mhmm…speaking of the school. How long will it be completed?" Yamamoto asked. "It should be done by next year in April, but we might speed the process up after we get some extra hands in." Ulquiorra says. "I see…" He looks at Grimmjow and strokes his beard. "What are your other projects." "What?" "I asked you what your projects were…since we are supplying a fund for you and you are helping us out the least, we can do is return the favor. I know the school has been your top priority so I will leave that be with you, but this city should no longer look at this in two parts. We should be working together to help rebuild this into one singular place to live."
Grimmjow was a bit shocked at these words. He turns to Ulquiorra who opened the folder. "Place the paper in the middle of the table." Mayuri instructed. Ulquiorra did as he was told. The men watched as the table lit up. Alisha's eyes grew wide. "Oooo…" Grimmjow chuckled at her. The information from the paper spread out through the table and appeared in front of each person. "Starting at the top…" Ulquiorra starts. "Is, of course, the school…after that our projects consist of a new library, a bar, a few orphanages, a bookstore, a new daycare which is still being debated since there would be one built into the school, your new buildings that were already sent to us, a few of them at least." "Yes, let us go over that." Yamamoto says.
"Very well…" Ulquiorra says as Naomi adjusted herself in his arms. "Mmm…down!" She suddenly yelled. Ulquiorra looks down at her. He placed her down on the floor. She yawns rubbing her eyes and then ran over to Kenpachi's side to Grimmjow's shock. Reaching his side, she whimpered as she held her hands up. "Tisk…you came back for a nap. How ridiculous…" Shinji snickered. "You say that and yet you are picking her up anyways." "Shut up…" Kenpachi says as Naomi laid flat on her stomach, on his lap, and fell asleep.
Ulquiorra touched the table, quickly getting used to how it works. For the 1st division, it was stated that they will stay in this spot, the building will stay the same until further notice. It will be noticed as the main base of operation. Meetings, information, and any concerns of change will flow from here and out to everyone. Correct?" Yamamoto nods. "Yes. As well it will still be a part of the main government here. As central 46 is no longer in play." There were slight surprise gasps all around the table. "Yes, I have heard they were conspiring against the noble families but failed…" Toshiro says. "Sir?" Unohana says. "Yes?" "Is this going to be a government building, are you finally going to run as mayor of the city?" Yamamoto opens his eyes a bit. "It would only be the logical thing to do if you plan on breaking up the city. If not, that then maybe implore someone to take the position?" Grimmjow frowned. "Wait, there isn't a mayor?" "No…ever since your former boss left, he killed the last mayor along with a few members of central 46 and even some public officials. It was much too dangerous to put someone else in that spot, so I have been pulling the full weight." Yamamoto says explaining.
"We never had any proof that he did it, but we are sure it was Aizen." Jushiro says. "Don't worry we aren't asking you to spill your guts about your former lives." "Even if you did there is nothing to say." Ulquiorra said. "Those things were done before he brought us along." Grimmjow rubbed the back of his neck. "Yea…it was annoying when he threatens us with that. It isn't like we all sat down and had a tea party and spoke about our backstories. Even to us, that man was a mystery." Grimmjow looked down at Alisha. She looked back up with her and smiled. He smiled back slightly and then frowned. "Anyways…I agree with the chick. If you plan on breaking this down just be the damn mayor already. If not put someone else in the seat. NOT someone of noble birth either. You need someone who can actually see the people from both sides." Yamamoto rubbed his beard. "Very well…I will look into it. Add a mayor building to your list. I am sure I can find a more capable person to run it. Now let's move on."
"Next is the 2nd division…no talk has been gathered on what they wish to do." Ulquiorra says. Soifon crosses her arms. "We are a military task force. It has always been that way." "So…would you like a military base? Underground, Above ground, outside of town, there are many options as neither side of the city has such a building." Soifon closes her eyes. "Very well…I would like all of those, a base that has underground space, a regular base on top, and I would like for the main location to be outside of the city away from prying eyes. However, I would also like a building inside the city for paper formality." Ulquiorra nods writing that down. "Do you have a location in mind?" Grimmjow asked. "We can send someone out there and have them look at it." "I may have on…I will send it to you later…"
"For the third division. As they are known as Errand Services, we simply decided to create various post offices." Rose nods. "Yes, that is right. I would like for the main building to be located next to the mall so that I can help with job opportunities as well. I would like to speak about that in more detail, but I don't want to keep speaking for forever you know." "Next the fourth division, they have already said that they wanted to merge in with the main hospital that is already under the care of Uryu Ishida and his father Ryuken Ishida. Both have agreed on the terms she has set and is ready for reconstruction on the hospital to begin." Unohana smiles. "How wonderful, I also would like the responsible for the orphanages as well." "Yes…" Ulquiorra says.
"For the fifth division…you requested…to run several different small businesses such as bookstores, antique shops, music shops, and more…" Shinji nods. "Yup. I don't really have the main thing for my division, so I want to support all the small businesses and shops. As for the main building, meh I'd like something a little low on the bar you know. Don't want to stand too much or it will become a pain. You know?" "…I do not…" Ulquiorra says. "It's fine. He just means stick him wherever we can fit him. They can be a department of labor and help people find jobs no matter how big or small." Alisha stands up on his lap and poked the table. He grabs her hands. "Don't touch." He says. Alisha pouts as he grabs her tiny hands. "For the sixth division…"
Byakuya nods. "We will still be a job center, helping to decide who goes where. As well I want to propose to help fund the school that is being built. Personally. I am aware you don't have many hands to help, and I want this school up and running before my niece is of age to attend. I also want to put more focus on the education department. School boards and councils as well as the financial aid of those who attend." "I think we can all agree with that." Sajin says. "You can use my squad to the fullest to help speed it along." Grimmjow sighs. "Quick isn't always the best way but I will take it under advisement…" Byakuya links his hand together. "Mhmm…as for location, I've already said we will speak on that later." "Right, moving on…" Grimmjow says as he sits Alisha down on his lap. "Da…" She points to the table. "I said no Alisha. It's not a toy." She grew teary eyes. Grimmjow's eyes twitched. "May I hold her?" He turned to Sajin. "I can keep her entertained at least?" Grimmjow sighs and held up Alisha to him. Her eyes grew big, and she giggled at Sajin kicking her feet a bit. Sajin smiles and grabs her.
"Division 7…" Ulquiorra says taking notes down. "Sajin hums out as he gently tosses up Alisha." "Kyaa!" She screams out happily. "My division is for all the new recruits. So once they are processed from Byakuya, they go to see Master Yamamoto, they get placed in their respected groups and then they come to me so that I may train those who need training…I am not sure what to make that as." "Let's expand that thought process." Ulquiorra says. "How would you feel about protecting the cities natural resources, conserving the wildlife and land. If we were to help this city expand and grow, then it would be good to make sure the land around us grow as well." Sajin thought deeply about this. "I see…I think I follow. To protect the lives of humans and animals I will accept this duty. I thank you."
"Division 8 did not put any effort into saying what they wanted." All eyes turned to Shunsui who shrugs. "I couldn't find anything to work on but…word is out that a certain someone plans on opening a bar after she learns of her retirement date. I'd like to support it while I can." Grimmjow sighs. "For Pete's sake…skip this shit and move on." Shunsui chuckled. "We can skip division 9…" Grimmjow says with a slight snarl. Kensei raised his eyebrow. "And why is that. I have ideas for what I want with my division." "Don't need them." Kensei frowned. "You got an issue with me?" "I have an issue with any man who leers after my woman!" Grimmjow says with a glare.
Unohana laughs, getting their attention. "Now now boys…let's keep this meeting civil. We are all friends here. Right…" She says narrowing her eyes a bit, while still having a smile on her face. Both Kensei and Grimmjow felt a shivering tingle all over their body. "Fine…whatever…" Grimmjow says turning around. Kensei crossed his arms. "Whatever you need I can see it through Oichi if that makes it easier for us not to speak to each other." "Fine…it's your turn shrimp." Grimmjow says looking at Toshiro.
Toshiro sighs. "We will be fine once our building is gone, just expand the police station. That is all." "Why can't everyone be as simple…" "And eleven?" Kenpachi crossed his arms, carefully to not stir Naomi who was still napping. "Prisons, confinement cells, I mean…you have seen the prisons a few times yourself. I'm sure you have ideas of your own." Grimmjow gripped his fist and then sighs. "Moving on to twelve. I don't have time to play these games with you." Kenpachi chuckled at him. Mayuri chuckled and typed something on the table. In front of Ulquiorra and Grimmjow, a large screen appeared in front of them and started to auto-scroll. Ulquiorra's eyes slowly looked up. "You must be joking…" He said so flatly that it made even Grimmjow shake. "Oh? Are you unable to do what I ask?" "Clearly…what you are asking is beyond any construction company ability." Mayuri let out another chuckle. "I would have figured a criminal like yourself could figure out how to get this done in a timing manner." His eyes turned to Grimmjow. "I mean…you're so eager to get that school done for that trifling woman of yours. Can you not do the same for us…mainly me…"
Grimmjow's eyes twitched again. "Oh? Are you angry? You should be? Just think about how I feel when we must get a bunch of low lives to do this sort of project without even letting me know. I could have done this in less time you are speaking with fewer the workers. First, I must deal with that disgraceful woman of yours, then those little brats, and now you. Just how much time are you going to waste on these empty promises?" There were deep signs that fill the room. "Seriously…this is getting old…" Soifon says shaking her head. "I told you to stop speaking about her like that." Kensei says frowning. "She isn't even on the board anymore! How long do you think this little petty grudge goes on!" "As long as it has to be! That woman is nothing but a clone of her father! A sneaky, backstabbing, worthless piece of human flesh!"
Grimmjow's anger was boiling over. He wanted nothing more than to strangle Mayuri. Break his neck, chop him into pieces and hide his body parts all over the city. He wanted so bad, to revert into that side of him but he controlled himself. Instead, he opened the pocket in his suit and pulled out a flash drive. He noticed on the table that there was a UBS slot and pushed it in. When it did a file popped up in front of him. "Hey! What are you doing putting an unprotected drive in this table!" Mayuri says, slamming his hands on the table. This jolted Naomi awake and made her fussy. It scared Alisha and she also started too fussy. Jushiro rubbed his head. "Really now…I wish you wouldn't scare the children…"
Kenpachi rubbed Naomi's back calming her down. She quickly drifted back to sleep. Alisha reached back over to Grimmjow in tears. He took her back and held her in one arm. She rubbed her face in his shoulder. "This file is what you really want isn't it…" He says coldly. "What?" "It's from the man you hate so much. He said he is tired of you harassing his daughter and what he took wasn't even a big deal. He couldn't make much money on it even if he sold it for parts and in fact, he built a better one." Grimmjow clicked on the only link that was in the file. A picture of a syringe appeared with the components that were blacked out. "He said whatever you used was worthless and not even worth keeping. In fact, he even forgot about it but, when his daughter came crying to him during her last meeting in here, he decided to dig it out of his sandbox and send it to me. So there…now that you have this failed project of yours will you stop badmouthing Oichi."
There was silence in the room as Mayuri looks down at the table shaking. "How dare he…How dare he!" He stands up and points to Grimmjow. "You tell that lowlife wanna be scientist that the next time he steals anything from my lab the results will be so undoable that he will have to rethink his entire existence!" "Whatever…just take the crap and keep her name out your mouth. I don't really give a damn on why you have beef with that man, but he clearly shows no interest in you. The only reason I have this is because you keep harassing Oichi like she's the one who took it. The only…the ONLY reason why your teeth aren't knocked out of your mouth is because my kids are here, and I don't want to damage the reputation Oichi has with everyone here, but this is it. I gave you whatever you were bitchin' about. Say anything thing about her or my kids and I swear on everything I am I will separate your head from your shoulders." Grimmjow said with a threatening snarl.
Mayuri growled. "Are you all just going to allow him to threaten me like this?" "Honestly, I am more interested in what you were making there." Shunsui says. Looks like a potion of some kind. Questionable." "Yes, I am also interested as I can see there are some components that are not covered, and they are from my medical garden that I strictly told you not to touch…" Unohana says with a cold smile. Mayuri frowned and sat back down. He hit a button that took the file off the drive and sent it to his personal lab. "Fine…the debt is owed. I won't speak ill of that woman unless she crosses me…" Grimmjow huffs out. "Jushiro what do you want…I'm ready to get the hell out of here at this point…" Jushiro smiled. "Nothing too major. I would like to help Unohana here with the orphanage that will be being built. I also want to lead a hand into the reconstruction of Hueco Mundo so if you need free hands, please let me know and I can send my men to you. Just point and tell them where to go as I have plenty who worked in construction beforehand." "Alight, that works for me…" He looked at Yamamoto. "Anything else you need old man."
"Mmm…yes…on a personal level. Has Oichi been thinking about taking over for me? I would also like to know her thoughts and feelings about us being related…" Grimmjow sighs and rubbed his head. "She has, but she is getting pulled into different directions. She wants to help you, but she knows nothing about you, your company now, nothing of her grandfather or great grandmother. At best if she doesn't end up having a connection with you, she would feel better if you had a connection with the kids. As for the job…I don't think she will take it. I don't want her to take it in fact. You threw this information out like it was nothing and did it while she was pregnant. That was not fair for you to dump this crap on her because now you are feeling remorseful about your past…Oichi knows nothing of running this big of a company you put together." Yamamoto sits back in his chair, placing his hands over his staff. "You are right…I had a backup plan for if she was not ready by the time, I retire but, I will not give up on her taking over."
Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "You are a stubborn old fart…I mean…if she wants to take over in a few years or so then it wouldn't be an issue, but she isn't ready for something this big and you shouldn't force her to do something she isn't ready to do. Have you thought about what would happen if more people like this fucker over here refuse to follow her direction?" He says pointing at Mayuri. "You can't just stick someone new like her in a position like yours. Get what I am saying?" Yamamoto links his fingers together and lets out a light chuckle. "I see…then yes I must apologize for that. I did put her on the spot. I'm afraid I got too excited to know that I had some family left that did not despise me." Jushiro chuckled. "You were moved to learn that the girls have already become attached to you as well." Yamamoto glanced at the twins. "Yes…but moving on…now that we have all of this settled, all of you will send any comments and ideas to Construction Depo. Before this meeting is ended, I know a few of you read the memo about my retirement and who I wanted to replace me. If she didn't come forward, I will be naming the one who will be taking over after me and that will be Shunsui Kyoraku."
Shunsui sighs. "Really…I don't want such a troublesome job…but I don't mind being a placeholder until little Oichi is ready." "Mmm…so with that comes to mind, we will find someone to replace his spot. All will be discussed later weeks before I retire." "When will that be exactly?" Kenpachi asked. "After all the reconstruction is completed, Shunsui can bring in the new era that will start in this city."
The meeting went on for a little more than an hour as the group talked more in detail about what changes will be happening. Grimmjow and Ulquiorra sat in silence as the others spoke about the new faces that would be joining and leaving them.
Once the meeting ended Kensei was the first one out, quickly heading off to get Oichi without Grimmjow's knowledge. Grimmjow gets up holding Alisha. Kenpachi was holding a sleeping, Naomi. "Hey…what do you want me to do about her? She's clinging on to me." Grimmjow shook his head. "You might as well take her with you. When she clings like that she isn't letting go." Kenpachi looked at Yamamoto who nods. "As soon as she wakes bring her back." Kenpachi sighs. "Fine…" He walks off. Alisha frowns. "Noo…" Grimmjow bounces her. "Don't worry you will be fine. It's about time for your nap anyways." He grabbed her juice cup and handed it to her. She took it and started drinking it. He walked over to Yamamoto. "She is already sleepy, but it would be best if she woke up next to her sister. They don't do so well if they are apart for too long." He handed Alisha to Yamamoto. "I was sure you were going to try to take them." "I would…but I don't want to hear Oichi yelling at me for it. Just take care of my daughter's old man…later." Alisha pushed the cup out of her mouth and yawn. "Dada…" Grimmjow rubbed her cheek making her yawn more. He then walked back over to Ulquiorra and they left the meeting room together.
Walking down the hall to the parking lot, Grimmjow's phone dings. He took it out of his pocket and saw a text from Oichi. He hit the call button instead of looking at the message. It rang three times before she picked up. "Hey! Did you even look at my text?" "Nope. Where are you?" "I'm just getting back from my break. Are you coming to see me?" "Duh. No point in wasting this grand opportunity to bend you over on your desk." "W-Wha…No! Y-You can't do that here!" "And why not? It never stopped me before." "Grim…" He chuckled. "I'm kidding babe. I'll see you in a bit. Do you have your coat? The storm is getting bad out here." "I have my coat, but I don't have an umbrella…" "I got a spare. I'll bring it to." "Okay! Thanks, honey! See you soon!" Grimmjow hangs up and turns to see Ulquiorra on his own phone. "Guess you're going to go see Jess." "Yes, she wants to have lunch." "I'm sure…take her to the guest side of the break room. She will know where it is." Grimmjow says. "Why…" "Don't be an idiot. I hardly doubt you two will be eating lunch. Just be at the car in an hour."
Oichi was walking back to her office. She sighs rubbing her belly. She groans a bit feeling the baby move around. "Come on little one, calm down. I'll get us something yummy to eat." "So, your Oichi…" Oichi turned around to see a woman with black hair with turquoise eyes and red oval shape glasses. "Um…I am? And you are?"
"Mmm…daughter of Danni Tanaka, correct? She's dating that idiot." "Idiot? Are you talking about Mr. Shunsui? Can I help you with something?" The woman walked up to Oichi making her jump a bit. "Tell them to break it off." Oichi blinks. "Wha…What!?" "You heard me. Clearly, your mother can find someone better than that pervert fool. With a sexy body like hers, she could have any man she wants. Why him. She doesn't know her worth." Oichi frowned. "My mother is happy with who she is with. I'm not going to tell her to break it off with a man she loves." "Ha…just do what a say." "I will not! Who are you to tell me what to say to my own mother!? It's none of your business on who dates who! We are all adults here!" "Yes, we are, and you should be adult enough to admit that your mother is too much woman for him to handle." It took all Oichi's might not to backhand this woman. She then felt pain in her stomach. "Ow…" The woman blinks. "Are you okay?" "No! I'm not okay! You're upsetting me and my baby!" Oichi snaps in tears. She turns around holding on to the wall. She slowly made her way to her office door.
The woman frowned. "Wait. You will strain yourself more if you…" "Lisa!" She frowned hearing her name being yelled. She and Oichi turned back to see Kensei storming up to them. "What the hell do you think you are doing!?" Lisa pouted slightly. "I just wanted to talk to her." Kensei stormed past her and went to check on Oichi. "Whatever she said to you don't listen. It will just stress you out even more." Oichi huffs out. "Okay…" "Did you eat all the snacks?" "Yeah. They were yummy. Thank you." Kensei smiled. "Good." Lisa raised her eyebrow. "That fiancé of yours coming?" "Yeah, he is bringing a spare umbrella for me. Did your meeting go well?" "Something like that. He didn't even let me talk." Oichi giggled. "Don't worry, I'll get whatever you need from him. As long as you two didn't fight I am happy." Kensei groans and looked over to see Lisa staring at him. "You got something to say!?" He says snapping at her. "No, but you two make a cute couple." Kensei blushed. "Stop with that! She's got a fiancé!" Oichi moved a strain of hair behind her ear. 'What a strange woman…'
Lisa shrugs. "She should dump him and get with you. I'm just saying." She says turning on her heels and walking away. "Sorry about her." Kensei says with a sigh. "It's okay, I guess. She startled me. Maybe she wants what is best for mama? I am not too sure." "Just don't take anything she says too seriously." Oichi nods. "I need to sit…" "Go on to your office. Take a good break and head home early for today." "Really?" "Yes, I have a lot of work I need to do personally. We are getting some new recruits…I more annoying in fact." "Really? Sounds fun!" Oichi smiles with a giggle. "We need a little more annoying people running around. It makes things excited." Kensei rubs his head. "I like when it is more peaceful." Oichi groans and holds her belly. "He moves around so much…" Kensei reached out and placed a hand on her belly. He could feel a lot of movement and then he felt a kick where his hand was. "Oh! I think he likes you." Oichi says smiling. "He only kicks like that when Grimmjow rubs my belly." "Is that right? He got quite the spirit." Oichi chuckles and rubs her cheek with her finger. "Kensei?" "Hm?" "Um…you don't have to answer right now but…have you considered being the Godfather of my son?" Kensei's eyes widen a bit. "Godfather?" "I have to talk to Grimmjow and I'm sure he isn't going to like the idea but…I think if our son had someone like you to look up to as well as Grimmjow then he could be quite the powerhouse. Don't you think?" Kensei looked at her belly still feeling the kicks. "Y-Yeah…" He moved his hand. "You should go rest now. "When Grimmjow comes, head home for the day." "Okay. Thank you!" He watched her walk into her office, closing the door behind her. He looked down at his hand and sighs. 'Godfather…I suppose that is how close I can allow myself to get to her…tisk…dammit it all…I wish he would make a mistake so I can take her already…' He turned around and headed to his office.
At division 11, Kenpachi had made it back to his regular building. His men were staring at him while he carried a sleeping Naomi in his arms. "Did he steal someone's kid?" One man said. "Maybe…but doesn't that baby look a bit familiar?" "If you got enough lip to chatter then go find something to do." Kenpachi says. The men shivered and ran off. Opening the door to his office, he saw Yumichika and Ikkaku sitting down on the couches. "Sir how was the me…" Ikkaku's eyes widen. "What are you doing with Oichi's kid?" "She fell asleep on me and now she won't get off." Kenpachi says walking to his desk. He sat down and leans back. "Sir, where is Yachiru? I heard she didn't attend the meeting?" Yumichika said. "Yachiru is on some vacation for a while. Don't know when she will be back." "Seriously?" Ikkaku said. "Yes, so at this moment Ikkaku you are going up to take her place." Ikkaku's eyes widen. "You can't be serious…" "I am. Get over it. You start tomorrow." Ikkaku frowned until they heard a tiny yawn. Naomi suddenly pops her head up. She rubbed her eyes. "That was quick." Kenpachi says. "According to Oichi, the girls don't sleep long unless they are together." Yumichika said as they watched Naomi blinks out of her sleep. She right away recognized Yumichika. "Hi…!" She says half-sleep. "How adorable." Yumichika said chuckling.
"I'm surprised that you are even holding her." Ikkaku says. "Is this a sigh sir? Maybe you want some little ones of your own?" "Don't be stupid. Do it look like I want a kid?" "Well. If you do have a kid just think how strong he or she will be." Ikkaku crossed his arms. "True. Then you'd have a true sparring partner for life." Kenpachi hums out and looks at Naomi who looks up at him. She giggles. "A sparring partner for life huh." He smirked. "That does sound like a fun idea."
Oichi was sitting in her office. She sighs feeling pain in her side. 'He likes to move a lot. Maybe he is just ready to come out already. I may need to go home after all.' There was a knock at the door. "Come in." She says moving her paperwork around. The door opened and Soifon walked in shocking Oichi a bit. "Ms. Soifon…how may I help you?" Oichi asked a bit nervous. Soifon sighs closing the door with a slight slam. Oichi jumped a little and ended up falling back in her seat. "U-Um…" Soifon stopped and frowned. "Don't get all nervous and end up hurting yourself…I just need to speak to you for a moment and whatever I say doesn't leave this room understand." "Y-Yes…" Oichi says unable to shake her uneasiness. Soifon walked up to her desk. "I need you to make me an outfit." "An…outfit?" "Yes." Soifon's cheeks turned slightly red. "I have…" She cleared her throat. "I have a date and I need an outfit. I don't do the whole shopping thing. So, make one for me." It took Oichi a second to register this. "Oh! Um okay. I need your measurements." She opened her drawer. "When did you need it?" "By Saturday…" "Okay, if you want to be all secretive you can just come to my shop through the back. You can try on some outfits and get a feel of what you want unless you find something there." "Hmf…very well. I will be there tomorrow. Don't forget that this conversation stays between you and me." She walked out of the room before Oichi had a chance to say anything else.
"Soifon has a date. I wonder who it is." Oichi chuckled. She grabbed her phone and went to lay on her couch for a bit. She dialed her mother's number. It rang four times before Danni picked up. "Shut up Yoruichi! Oichi is calling me! Hi honey! What's up?" "Oh, you near Yoruichi? Perfect, I have a question for her can you put me on speaker?" "Uh, sure thing. Okay, you own." "Hi, Ms. Yoruichi!" She heard a chipper giggle. "Hey, Oichi. So, if you need me that must mean you have some juicy gossip?" "Uh, yes? That is what we can call it since I was asked not to say anything." "Okay! Spill." "It's about Soifon. She has a date Saturday." "WHAT!?" Both Danni and Yoruichi says loudly. Oichi had to pull the phone from her ear. "Mhm…she asked me to make her an outfit, but she didn't give out too many details." "Oooo! I can't believe my ears! This is way too juicy!" "She is going to come to the shop tomorrow to try on some clothes but honestly I've never seen her in clothes other than what she normally wears, so I have no clue what to even make her…" "Okay! Leave to me and don't worry about her getting mad. I'll just let her know some of her men slipped up and heard her conversations. We will meet you tomorrow at your shop to help pick her something up and of course, we are going to be following her on her little date! I need to see who she is going out with." "Eh…" Danni says. "You know, I always thought her type would be less dominant and enjoy being punished." Oichi heard a familiar laugh. "Kisuke? Is that you?" "Yup, sorry I couldn't help but overhear your talk. To add on I think I may know who the date is with. I think it makes perfect sense if it's true." "Hey spill it! Who is she dating?" "Whaaa? No way let's find out on our own! Oichi you're coming to!" "Me? Why?" "You need a break from your man and the kids. When is the last time you hung out with your mom?" Oichi let out a light chuckle. "You just want to hear details about everyone." Yoruichi giggles. "You got it. So, cancel all your plans until then. Later!" She hangs up. Oichi shakes her head and leans back on the couch.
Grimmjow shook his head getting the water off, but his gel had worn off. His hair was slicked down. Using his left hand, he brushed it back make a few women blush as he walked by. "Damn…this kind of sucks. My hair is all wet." Holding the spare umbrella, he got into the elevator and went up to Oichi's floor. He sighs. "I'm sleepy…maybe I can convince her to come home early." He rubbed his chin. "Maybe we should take a vacation. Like a hot spring." His face got flustered as he imagined Oichi's naked body relaxing in a steamy room. The water washed over her glowing tan skin. Those cute eyes light up when she spots him. He shivered, getting turned on. The elevator stopped and he got off.
Walking to Oichi's office he knocked on it. "Come in." He heard her say. He opened the door and frowned to see her not at her desk. "Grim." He turned to the right to see her laying on the couch in pain. He rushed over to her. "Babe? You, okay?" "Y-Yea? He is just moving around a lot. It hurts sometimes. I can't really relax like this." He placed a hand on her belly, and she sighs out. "Kensei said I can go home early. I think I will take his offer…" Grimmjow nods. "I agree. Do you want to leave the girls here?" "Yeah…I'll text Jess and ask her to stop by and get them. Will you be okay with work?" "I'll let Ulquiorra handle it. Come on." He held her up, gathered her things and walked her out the door. She clings to his arm. "You look sexy like that, with your hair slicked back." Grimmjow chuckled. "Do I? Want me to grow it back out a little?" "I thought you didn't like it." "I don't but if my sex appeal goes up another inch or so, I can't complain." He smirked with a heated expression on his face. "When you get in the mood you can be more of a beast than me. It's getting me fired up." Oichi's face started to turn red. "S-Shut up you pervert!" She turned her head. "D-Don't grow your hair out after all." He laughed. "Nope! I'm growing it out. This is going to be fun." She pouted and smacked his chest. "You are so terrible!"
In the sixth division, Byakuya was in his office with Renji and Rukia. "Your joking…" Renji says. "I hardly do…seeing the twins light up with Grimmjow walked in was quite a sight. I wanted to know if Ichika is that excited to see you." Renji rubs the back of his head. "I mean she screams out for me and runs to me and hugs me…then she goes on to play with her toys." "Hmm…the twins clung to him. Does Ichika do that to you?" "Well, no…sometimes." Rukia chuckled as she rubbed her growing belly. "She clings to Grimmjow and Grayson a lot more but when they are not around, she gives all the attention to her dad. "Hmmm…" Byakuya says.
"It was…at times like this where Hisana would get baby fever…" Byakuya says with a small sigh. Renji's eyes widen a bit hearing this. Byakuya never shared anything personal with them before. "I would have given her anything, but the disease slowly ate her life away…" Rukia frowned and walked over to the desk. She placed her hand on his shoulder. "Brother…one day you are going to find an amazing person just like Hisana." Byakuya reached up and grabbed her hand. "One day…maybe."
The day went on by and the storm started to die down a bit. At the house, Oichi was napping on the couch with a soft blanket over her. Grimmjow was in the kitchen making lunch for whenever she woke up. The house was silent since the kids were still at daycare. Shelia and Amanda were with Ben for the evening. His phone started to vibrate. Sighing he picked it up. "Hello?" "Hey!" It was Jess. "I got the twins! They looked so sad when I picked them up. Seems like they really like him." Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah…" "So, did you want me to keep them for a little longer? I would like Oichi to get a little bit of rest." "Yeah, that's fine." "Great! Also, one more thing. Me and Nel were thinking about meeting up with the group at the party house? It's been a while you know." "We bringing the kids?" "Not if we can find some good babysitters." "Izzy, Shelia, and Amanda should do fine." Grimmjow says walking into the living room. "Izzy? I would have thought she wanted to join?" "Doubtful. She has exams coming up." "Isn't babysitting the worse place for her to be then?" "She will be fine. The kids aren't that loud. That's why Shelia and Amanda will be here." "Okay, I'll call around with a time and date." She hangs up.
Grimmjow puts his phone back in his pocket. "Mmm…we going somewhere?" He heard Oichi say as she woke up. "Jess and Nel wants to have a get-together. I volunteered your sister and the girls to be a babysitter." Oichi sits up and yawns. "That sounds nice. We haven't hung out with everyone for a while. Is Jess bringing the twins here?" "No, I told her to keep them for a bit longer so you can get some rest." Oichi smiles and lays back down. "It's been so long since this house has been silenced." Grimmjow chuckled and lifted her feet. He sat down and placed them on his lap. He rubbed her legs until she drifted back off to sleep.
At Uryu's and Tatsuki's place, Tatsuki was just getting home from her shift. She had picked up Noah from daycare and was taking his wet clothes off. She heard something in the kitchen. Noah's eyes lit up. "Daddy!" He ran into the kitchen. Tatsuki chuckled as she put his coat on the rack. Following his steps, she looked into the kitchen to see Uryu holding Noah. "Did you have fun today?" "Mmhm!" "That's good." He put him down, making him frown. "No daddy! Up!" He held up his arms. "Sorry I have to get back to work." Noah frowned more and looked down. "Daddy will play with you later, okay?" He pats Noah's head and walks over to Tatsuki. She crossed her arms. "How long will you be?" "Who knows…they are doing some changes and I want to be there to make sure nothing goes wrong. I might not be home tonight." Tatsuki crossed her arms. "Uryu…Noah misses you. You don't spend a lot of time together. I'm not okay with that." "I do spend time with him. It may not look like a lot, but I do call him and check up on him." "Okay cool, but he needs physical contact. He is still a baby you know." Uryu looked back to see Noah standing there with his back turned. His head was looking down to the floor.
Tatsuki placed a hand on his shoulder. "All I am asking is that you spend at least one day with him…please." Uryu heard his pager go off. "I have to go. I'll try to be back home before midnight." He moved her hand and kissed her cheek. Grabbing his coat and keys he left. Tatsuki bit her lip and sighs. "Noah honey." Noah turned around. "Let's get you out of those wet clothes. Come on it's bath time." Noah smiled and ran to her. She chuckled and picked him up. "Daddy will be back to play with you soon."
Saturday soon came. It was warm and a little murky from the storm a few days ago. Oichi sighs as she sat in the smoothie shop. She was wearing a maternity gray shirt, black leggings, and a white lace jacket. She had her hair up in a high ponytail and a strain of hair was hanging on the left side of her face. Beside her was Danni who was wearing a black and red t-shirt with blue capris and black shoes. Sitting beside her was Shunsui who slipped out of work to join the fun, He was dressed down in a nice black and white pattern button shirt and dark blue jeans with black sandals. In front of them was Yoruichi wearing a light brown crossed top with her breast slightly poking out and brown skinny jeans with black heels. Beside her was Kisuke who wearing a white shirt with an open green jacket and blue slacks with sandals. He had a matching hat on as well that covered his eyes.
Oichi felt out of place as she sips on her strawberry smoothie. A few days ago, at the store, Yoruichi made good on her word. She and Danni came into the store and dropped in while Soifon was shopping. At first, Soifon was glaring deadly at Oichi until Yoruichi told her about how some of her workers had been talking about her. That was enough to change her anger from Oichi to whoever Yoruichi said it was. They of course horsed her around hoping to get information on her date but even that didn't help. The only thing Soifon gave away was that the date was taking place outside of a small café right next to the smoothie shop.
'I don't understand why I am here…' Oichi says to herself holding a sigh. 'I miss Grim. Today is his day off to…I would rather be cuddling up against him right now.' She suddenly felt a hand on her belly. She gasps dropping her smoothie on the table. The others turned to look to see a random woman smiling as she rubbed Oichi's belly. "Aw! Look at you. You look like you're ready to pop!" Oichi's eyes widen, and she teared up. Danni growled and smacked the woman's hand away. "Get your hands off my daughter! Don't go touching her like that." The woman held her hand. "What's your issue! I just thought she looked cute being that big. I just wanted to feel the baby." "I don't give a damn what you wanted! She is highly uncomfortable with a stranger touching her! Get out of here before I punch your teeth down your throat!" The woman jumps and runs off. Oichi frowned rubbing her belly. She then spots her spilled smoothie. "My smoothie…"
Danni smiles. "It's okay peanut. I'll get you another one. Are you okay?" "Yeah…it took me by surprise…" Shunsui got up. "Why don't I get you another one instead. You want a strawberry banana one, right?" Oichi smiles and nods. "Yes, please! Thank you!" Shunsui chuckled and walked off to the counter. Danni sat down with a huff as she cleaned the spilled smoothie. "I swear, people are so bold. Just coming up to touch a pregnant woman's belly. How insensitive." Oichi was going to comment until she saw Soifon walk up. "It's Soifon. Aw! She looks so cute!" Yoruichi pushed Kisuke out of the way and smiled. "Aw!"
Soifon was wearing a cute yellow shirt with spaced-out ruffles and light blue skinny jeans with floral patterns on the side and black heels. She had a small handbag, and her hair was the same. She didn't want to change too much. She looked around before she sat down. "I knew we should have forced her to put some makeup on," Danni says looking at her. "She would have been much cuter if she let her hair out to." Yoruichi says. She forced Kisuke out of his seat so she could get a better look. Kisuke sighs and looks at Oichi. "Seems like we are chop liver at this point. Why don't we order some food? I heard there is a new item on the menu." "Really?" Oichi says looking at the menu he opened. Shunsui walked back and placed the smoothie in front of Oichi. "Thank you!" Oichi says grabbing the smoothie. "Oh, they have a fruit bowl." Kisuke says. Oichi's eyes sparkled. "A fruit bowl?" Kisuke chuckled. "Why don't we order that and a parfait? My treat?" Oichi flushed and nodded. "Yay!"
Danni and Yoruichi kept looking out the window and saw a car pull up and park. "Ooo? The mystery man has money." "It would make sense. A woman like Soifon wouldn't lower herself to just a regular man. He has to be someone with some kind of name brand or something." Yoruichi says. "What? I think you give her too much credit. It may be a loser who happens to get lucky." Danni says sneering. Yoruichi laughs. "That would be funny, but I know Soifon. She wouldn't date a guy like that unless there was something in it for her."
A young waiter came over to the table and sat down the fruit bowl in front of Oichi. Her eyes widen with more sparkles and did a little excited squeal. Kisuke and Shunsui chuckled at her. "How cute. Is that what Grimmjow gets to see every day when you're ready to eat." Oichi pouted and blushed. "S-Sorry…" Shunsui pats her head. "No need to be sorry. Since we all got pulled out why don't you just let yourself be spoiled today." "Spoiled?" Kisuke picked up a spoon and scoop up some fruit. "Yup, spoiled. It's not every day I get to spoon feed someone cute." He held up the spoon to Oichi. Normally she would be too flustered to do this, but her tummy started to growl. She opened her mouth and accepted the spoon full of fruit. She hums out in delight. "Yummy!" "We should order a blueberry muffin bowl." Shunsui says. "Ooo sounds nice." Oichi says smiling.
Danni and Yoruichi eyed the car as the door opened. They watched a young man get out and they both gasps. "No way!" They both yelled out. Oichi, Kisuke, and Shunsui looked over. Oichi had a shocked look on her face. "Whoa! It's Vega! He is one of Barragan's former bodyguards. I wonder what happened to them after I got custody of the girls." Kisuke held up a spoon of food, taking her attention away from the scene.
Vega was wearing a white long sleeve shirt and light brown jeans with black shoes. He smiled spotting Soifon and walked over to her. "Well now, don't you look cute? I thought you weren't going to dress up." He says as he sat down in front of her. She crossed her arms with a blush. "I figured it would be a nice gesture since you agreed to sit down with me. Nothing more." "Mhm…so why the sudden interest in a date. I thought you wanted nothing more to do with me. The last time we talked you were so intent on following your master." Soifon sighs and picked up a menu off the table. "Lady Yoruichi is moving on I suppose. I can't get rid of that boy toy she has." "Ah, so I am your rebound. I guess that is good that you saved my number."
In the smoothie shop, Danni was reading their lips. "So, they have history." Yoruichi hums out. "You can read their lips?" "What and you can't? You're getting soft." Danni says leaning on the table. Yoruichi chuckled. "I mean I can, but I figured since I have you, I wouldn't need to." "Ugh, Typical. Now that I look at him more clearly, I do remember him. The little brat who was around Barragan. He had the guts to call me out when I called Barragan an old fart. Course I kicked his ass, but he had spirit. I liked that." Yoruichi chuckles. "What are they saying now?" "Mmmm about work stuff mainly…"
Oichi was munching on a muffin. "Mmm! Strawberries." Shunsui smiled as he sips on his drinking. "Hey, Shunsui?" "Yeah?" "Can you tell me how the twins were with the CEO?" "CEO? Do you mean old man Yama? I forgot we are changing titles. He enjoyed them and they seemed to enjoy him back. When Jess can to get them, they didn't want to go back." "They didn't?" "I think Jushiro got it on video, but he didn't want to send it to you. He thought you would panic. When Jess got there those girls of yours kept clinging on to the old man making a fuss. Poor Jess had to pry them off him." "Aw! That sounds so cute! I need that video! Did they cry even afterward?" "No, he got them calm somehow and they even said bye to him." Oichi had hearts in her eyes. "Oh my gosh, they said bye! How could he not send that to me!"
Across the street, Soifon had ordered some hot tea while Vega ordered a light beer. "So, what now? Did you want to make this official?" Vega asked. Soifon frowned and looked down. "I…suppose but don't think I'll change how I do things. I don't need you calling and checking up on me. That's too needy." Vega chuckled and leaned on his elbow. "Uh-huh, so that means you want me to show up every now and then to make sure you're alive." Soifon flushed. "T-That is not what I said!" "Your mouth did indeed say it, but your eyes betray you as they often do when your around me." Soifon sighs and crossed her arms. "Fine…there are changing coming to the center so it shouldn't be hard for you to pop up whenever you please." "Okay, how about we just set up a lunchtime. You come out of your little work hole and enjoy the fresh air with me? It can be a walk in the park, out to lunch, training, or…" He gave her a loving smirk. "We can do like the good old days and just have some one-on-one private time." Soifon's face turned even redder. "I have no clue what you mean." "Oh, no? Remember when you were supposed to be working with Yoruichi that one time. I sent you a little text and you forced someone else to do the job while you came to me? Then even after that, you took me to a little secret cabin that you knew about. All the fun we had there?"
Danni's eyes widen and she turned to Yoruichi who also had wide eyes. "I see…so that is where she was disappearing off to." Yoruichi cracked her knuckles and laughed. "And she even took him to my cabin. How bold of little Soifon." Danni shook her head and turned around to see Oichi finishing off the fruit bowl. Kisuke held up a spoon full of banana fruit cake he had ordered. She happily ate it. Danni chuckled. "I know an angry guy who is going to be upset that you're spoiling her." Shunsui laughs. "It's not every day we get a chance to do this and how can you deny this smiling face." Oichi hums out smiling while eating. Danni giggled. "True. I can't deny that it's nice to see her so carefree. How are you feeling pumpkin?" "Amazing! I haven't felt this great in a few months." "Why is that?" Kisuke asked. "The baby. He moves around a lot and it's hard to get comfortable. It's gotten to the point where sometimes Grimmjow has to sleep on the couch so I can have the full bed to myself and a lot of pillows. I hate it." "You got a little more way to go. Maybe after this, you and Grimmjow should slow down. Your body didn't even recover fully from having the twins and then poof you were pregnant all over again." Oichi blush. "I suppose…I can get the implant after he is born." "He? You haven't given him a name yet?" Oichi shakes her head. "I can't decide. I think Grim has one." "As long as you don't name it after your father, your uncle, your grandfather's, and your future husband almost any names will work." Oichi rolled her eyes. "Thanks, mom…" Kisuke held up some more cake. "Yay!" Oichi ate it off the spoon making them chuckle.
Out and about in the area. Byakuya was out by himself. It was rare for him to be in the city without any security, but he wanted to take a walk to clear his head. His phone rings. He thought about not answering it but decided against it. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw it was Renji. He answered but before he had a chance to say anything he heard Ichika. "Hi!" "Ichika. Why are you playing on your father's phone?" "Lis! Cake and pop!" She yelled. "Hm…you want some sweets?" "Yes! Yesssss!" She sounded like she was fighting sleep with excitement. "Very well. I will bring you some sweets." "Yay!" She hangs ups after pressing buttons. Byakuya sighs. 'She is getting smarter every day.'
He looked up to see that he was standing right in front of a sweet shop. "Very smart…" He walked in and looked around. It was a little empty, good for him. He grabbed a basket and started to pile up Ichika's favorite sweets. "Hmm…maybe it would be better if I home cook so that the intake of sugar is lower. Clearly, Renji nor Rukia have realized that she called me. Hmm…" He put back the items he gathers and started to look for items to cook with. As he walked by the cookie aisle, he stopped to see a young woman. He also noticed two men standing in front of her. "Hurry up and give me all your money lady." The woman frowned. "I told you no. I cannot believe you two thugs followed me all the way here. How many times do I have to say it before I really call the police? Now leave me alone." "Oh, shut up, we saw how much cash you had all we asked was for you to share it with us. You gave some to that old man outback!" "Because he was an elderly man who got robbed by you jerks. "That is enough…" They heard. The men looked behind the woman to see Byakuya walking up with a blank, cold, expression. "You are harassing her. I will not stand for that. Leave now." The men backed away from the woman. "Crap it's that noble…let's get out of here." They ran off. The woman sighs and turns around. She had light brown skin with dark purple at the top of her hair and light blue on the side and tips. She had freckles on her face and bright yellow eyes that looked right into Byakuya's. He didn't know why but he felt very drawn to them.
She smiled. "Thank you so much for your help. I am very sorry that I caused so much noise." "It is not a problem. They were a menace, are you okay?" "Yes, thank you. A few blocks down, those two boys took an elderly man's money. So, I figure it was okay to give him mine so that he could at least make it back home. Those men saw me and chased me in here. I would have hoped there were more people in here to help me, but I suppose a sweet shop was a poor choice to run into." She rubbed her arm. "Anyways, thank you for helping me…" She glanced out the window to see the men waiting around. "Though it seems they will be waiting to harass me again once I leave."
Byakuya looks out the window. "I see… it is a pity to see this town sub come to people like that." The woman rubbed her head. "It's better than where I have been. I just moved here a few days ago. I was going to meet with my older sister, but she has been too busy with work. She was going to give me a tour and asked me to wait so that she could show me where not to go. I guess I grew too impatient." "I see…did you walk here?" She nods. I rented out a townhouse not far from here." "Then I shall walk you home." "Really!? Are you sure?" "Yes, it would not be wise for me to leave a defenseless woman to those barbarians outside." The woman let out a small giggle. "You are very kind. May I ask your name?" "It is…Byakuya Kuchiki." The woman smiled. "My name is Nia. It is a lovely pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kuchiki." Byakuya blinks slowly. It was something about that smile that was making him feel…different. "Oh, were you shopping?" Nia asked looking at the basket. "Yes, my niece managed to call me and ask for sweets. I was thinking of making her something instead of buying these cheap snacks." Nia smiles. "Cheap snacks. You must have a lot of money." She taps her chin. "Okay, how about this, why don't I give some tips on what you can make. We can find the ingredients here and I can write out how you make the treat? It is the least I can do since you helped me." "Do you bake?" "Yes! I used to own a bakery back at home, but I left it to my daughter since I was moving here for a while." 'Daughter…' He looked at her hand. 'No wedding ring…' "Very well. It would be nice to not give her as much sugar as possible." "Sugar-free it is then! I have the perfect treat!"
Back at the smoothie shop, Soifon and Vega had left their date spot earlier. Danni sighs eating a piece of cake. Yoruichi chuckled. "You seem down Danni. What's wrong?" Danni glanced over to Oichi who was still eating. Shunsui placed another smoothie down in front of her and rubbed her head. "Don't be reserved. It's all on me after all." Oichi smiled happily as she ate. "If you want to be pampered, just say so." Yoruichi says chuckling. Danni blushed and then shook her head. "Oh, shut up. Are you saying I'm jealous of my own daughter?" "No, I am saying you are jealous of your man not showering you with a lot of attention but don't worry he is about to." Danni raised an eyebrow, missing a car pulling up.
Oichi sighs out. "This is the best! I'm really glad I came today." Kisuke smiled until he saw someone enter the shop. "Aw, looks like our spoiling time is over." He says holding up the last bite of a cake to Oichi. She ate it right as a shadow appeared over her. She looks up and saw Grimmjow frowning down at her. "Grim? Hi honey!" "Don't 'hi honey' me with that cute look on your face. What do you think you're doing?" "Um…eating?" Oichi says in a confused tone. "It looks like you are getting feed by two other men who aren't me." He said in an annoyed voice. Oichi pouts. "Don't get jealous. Wait why are you here anyway?"
Grimmjow rubbed his head. "I missed you and so do the girls. So, I came to get you." Oichi smiles. "Aw. You missed me?" She looked at Danni. "Mama I'm gonna go home." Danni sighs. "Okay pumpkin. Thank you for coming with us." Oichi looked at Shunsui and Kisuke. "Thank you so much for the meal! I really enjoyed today!" The men nodded. "It was nice to get to spoil you." Kisuke says. "I don't get to do that as often." Grimmjow helped her up glaring at the men. "Do you want to get some food to go?" He asked. "Yes please!" Oichi said with excitement in her voice. "Get whatever you like. I'll pay for it." Oichi smiled brightly and walked over to the counter to order. Grimmjow turned his attention back to Shunsui and Kisuke. "Listen you old farts. I'm the only one who can spoil Oichi. I'll let this slide since she's so happy right now but no second warnings." He stormed off with a growl. "He is like a protective guard dog." Danni says. Shunsui sighs and turns to Danni. "Well, are you two done spying? Why don't we go to the bar and do a little day drinking?" "Yeah, that sounds like a plan. We still need to make plans for Danni's bar don't we." Shunsui grabbed Danni's hand. "Well, shall we go? Now that I spoiled Oichi it's time for you to be spoiled now right." Danni held back a chuckle. "Your such an idiot."
At the sweet shop, Byakuya and Nia were at the counter. He was paying for the items while she wrote down how to make them. "Here is your receipt sir." "Thank you." He says. "We should go." Nia nods and walks after him. Right as they got outside, the men who were bothering her jumped out and tried to grab her. She gasps until Byakuya stood in front of her. He grabbed one of the men by his wrist and easily flipped him over on his back. Typical…you both are very sad men. Leave now and if I see you around here again, I will not hold back." The men frown and runs away. "Damn nobles! One day we will get even!"
Byakuya sighs and turned around to see Nia looking at him with sparkles in her eyes. "Wow…you are really strong!" Byakuya's eyes widen just a bit but quickly returned to his blank expression. "I have years of experience. Which way do you live? I would rather make sure you get home safe." Nia nods. "Okay, it's this way. Not really far."
They walked side by side, Nia looked around in awe. "Wow…it's bigger than she said." "It has been slowly expanding these days. Many new shops have opened up." Byakuya said. "How lively. I can't wait to explore…well…whenever my sister stops working." "What is it that your sister does?" Nia crossed her arms. "She's in the military. She works nonstop but she had promised to make time for me and help me get settled. I should have expected it though. She's a workaholic at heart Haha." "Mhmm…" Byakuya says. 'Sister in the military. She does look a bit familiar to someone, but I can't place it.'
They turned the corner and walked into a newer part of the city where the townhouses were located. Nia stopped at the very first one. "Here we are! See not far." Byakuya looked up at it. It was a simple modern townhouse with white and blue colors. There was a small area for outdoor items. He also saw boxes that were still sitting on the ground. 'She did say she was still moving in…' "Mr. Kuchiki? Thank you so much for helping me again. I am sorry if I halted any plans of yours but hope your niece loves those treats! My kids did." "It was no trouble. Please be aware of your surroundings. This city may be nice, but it still has its everyday issues with thugs like the ones from earlier. Nia nods and walked to the stairs. She spins around and gave him a bright smile. "It was nice to meet you! I hope one day we can meet again!" Byakuya felt something tight in his chest. He watched Nia hop of the stairs in a bubbly mood. She unlocked her door and closed it behind her. He stood there for a while. "I…should get going…" He started walking to Renji's and Rukia's. 'Nia…she seems interesting…'
A few weeks past and it was now July 16th Bella's 4th birthday. It was a small party that Chad was throwing with the help of Mila. Grayson, Ichika, Emma, Noah, Kazui, and Kendric were all over for the day and would be spending the night for a sleepover.
At the coffee bar, Oichi, Orihime, Rangiku, Momo, Nemu, and Nanao were sitting in the back eating cake and drinking coffee. "So, these changes…how do you think the center is going to handle all these changes?" Rangiku asked. Nanao pushed her glasses up. "Who knows, I know that the walls are being torn down and most people are working from home now." Oichi rubbed her 8th month belly. "I think the change is good. We get new positions, priorities get changed, it seems like the center is taking the change seriously. Change is good." Orihime nods. "Agreed. That wall was so intimidating. It's good that it's coming down." "I don't want our kids growing up thinking that those who live in the center is better than the one who lives outside the walls." Nemu looks down at her cup. "I um…I am handing in my papers…" They all looked at her. "Your leaving?" Momo asked. Nemu nods. "I decided that maybe it's time for me to think about myself. Father is okay with it." "Father!?" Nanao says in shocked. "He is allowing you to call him that!?" "Unofficially. As long as I don't say it around him, he is fine with that. I have already met my replacement." "Who is it?" Orihime asked. "It will be Akon." Oichi eyes widen a bit. "Really? I meet him at a meeting a few weeks back. He's kind of cute." Orihime giggled. Rangiku shakes her head. "He isn't my type." "I mean if you look at him in a different light, he could be kind of cute." Momo says rubbing her chin. "That is beside the point…I also heard something as well. About the 11th division. Apparently Yachiru is on vacation and Ikkaku is taking her spot."
The girls gasp. "She just up and left?" Orihime asked. "I don't know. Kenpachi won't go into details, and he didn't seem as bothered by it." "Really? I thought they would be close." Oichi says eating a piece of cake. "I'm sure wherever she is, she is fine." "Now that I think about it, Kensei said we were getting someone new to the division as well. Oh…speaking of Kensei…I um…I asked him to be the Godfather of the baby…" All eyes widen at her. Rangiku placed a hand over her face. "Oichi…you do realize this man likes you right? Keeping him any closer is going to end badly." Oichi looks down. "I know…but he's been so nice to me, and he helps me at work. He even sacrifices his time to help me learn more about the center." "Oichi…." Momo says. "You're such a cinnamon roll but I agree with Rangiku on this. Kensei is an um…good guy and all but, it's clear as day that he is interested in you. You shouldn't try to get him involved too much in your life." Oichi frowns. "But I already asked…it would be rude to tell him to forget about it." "Did you talk to Grimmjow about it?" "N-No…not really." The women groan. "Come on Oichi…" Nanto says. "You cannot be this dense. This is going to cause nothing but trouble between you and Grimmjow. They already cannot get along. You need to think about things like this."
Oichi's face started to grow hot, and her eyes got teary. "I…I'm sorry. Your right…" Orihime rubbed her back. "Aw, don't be so hard on her." "We have to be or situations like this will come up." Nanto says sipping her coffee." Oichi sniffs. "Isn't there a way where me and Kensei can just be friends…Hisagi liked me to but once I set everything straight, he understood." "Hisagi is built differently." Rangiku said. "Not only did he accept being in the friend zone he hooked up with your sister. So, unless you got another hot sibling that can take Kensei's attention from you, I say you should let it be. The only relationship you should have with that man is boss and employee and that's it." Oichi sighs softly and ate her cake.
Things grew quiet making things uneasy. Momo cleared her throat. "So, about the party? I think we should do it on Oichi's birthday. It's coming up right?" "Yeah…" Oichi says softly. The women frowned. Rangiku rubbed her head. "Come on Oichi…why are you getting upset?" "I'm not upset…I mean you guys are right, but I can't help but to feel bad." "It's not your fault your adorable." Rangiku says chuckling. "So, turn that frown upside down and have some sweets." On cue, Jess placed a slice of chocolate cake in front of her. Oichi looked up and Jess chuckled. "On the house sis. I heard the conversation and honestly so long as Kensei knows his boundaries, I don't see the harm in naming him the Godfather. However, you need to talk to Grimmjow. It wouldn't be fair to him." Oichi nods. "Yeah…"
Jess took her empty plate and walked back to the bar. "Oichi, have you come up with any names for the baby?" Momo asked. "No, not really. So much has been going on I haven't found one I like. I feel like Grimmjow would have a nice name stored up since we had two girls first." "Meh, enough about that. What about the party!" Rangiku says getting excited. "If we are going on Oichi's birthday we need to go to the mall, get our hair done…" The women started to laugh. "I think a good spa treatment is in order." Momo says. "Come now, let's not overdo it." Oichi says. "Just a nice get-together. I'm almost ready to pop here so I don't need that much excitement." Orihime poked Oichi's belly and giggled when she felt a kick. "He is so active!" "Yeah, he moves a lot…sometimes it's super uncomfortable. The twins didn't move around a lot. I wonder if all his boys do this. Nel said Grayson moved a lot." She sighs rubbing her belly. "Oh! How is Bella's party? Did everyone show up?" Momo asked. "Yeah, Grimmjow took Kenny and Gray to the mall to pick out a gift for her. Mila thought it would be a good idea for everyone to have a sleepover." "You think Kenny likes Bella?" Momo asked. Oichi crossed her arms. "I think it's a little too early to tell. Like with Gray and Ichika. Sure, she likes him now, but it could change when they get older." Oichi then smiled brightly. "Momo! How are you and Toshiro doing with the baby-making?" Momo blushed and put her hands on her cheeks. "Um…it's going well?" Rangiku laughed. "He seems very excited these days huh. It must have been when the twins were at that meeting. He caught baby fever." The girls giggled at Momo's glowing red face.
At the birthday party, Bella and Emma were playing tag outside with Grayson and Kendric. Ichika, Kazui, Eli, and Noah were playing with a bouncy ball. Chad was sitting down on the porch drinking a bottle of water. Mila walked out and stretched. She smiled looking at the kids running around. 'This is kind of nice.' She sat down and sat beside Chad. "So, when you plan on making us official?" Chad turned to her in surprise. "Official? You mean…" Mila leans over and kisses his cheek. "I suppose I can give us a shot. You haven't annoyed me as much as I thought. I'd like to see how far we can go." Chad smiled. "Okay…" Mila chuckled grabbing his face. "Another thing I like about you is these short conversations." She pulled him close to her and kissed him deeply. Bella saw this and gasps. "I'm getting a mom!" She says jumping up and down. Mila broke the kiss. "This is the best birthday!" Bella yelled running to them. Eli also ran to them. Mila blushed at Bella jumped on her giggling. "I got a mom!" Mila sighs as she didn't want to ruin this moment. Chad chuckled. "M-Me to…" They looked at Eli who was looking down. Mila frowned and rubbed her head. "Of course, silly boy." She reached out and grabbed his hand. "I don't mind being your new mom." Eli's eyes grew wide, and he gave her a huge grin. Chad felt his chest flutter seeing this. Mila picked Eli up. "Yay!" Bella screamed hugging her. Emma huffed out and crossed her arms. "I wonder if I can get a new mom…" Grayson sat on the ground a bit confused about what was going on. Kendric was staring at Bella. 'New mom…' He rubbed his hands together.
In a small abandon building, Tesra was sitting in an empty room waiting. 'Why did I agree to this…this is wrong.' The door opened and he heard footsteps. Looking up he saw Szayel sit in front of him. "Well…did you do what I ask?" Tesra nods. "I placed the hidden camera on one of Nel's work shirts…" He put a flash drive in front of him. "…but it only shows her going to work, the coffee bar, and the mall…she doesn't visit Oichi as much as you think…as for Sophie, she gets taken to the daycare. They don't trust me around her right now." Szayel took the drive and rolled his eyes. "Well, that is a bore. I was going to just take those two women, but it is proven to be difficult especially with Starrk here. The fake bounties I put out were quickly dismissed and now somehow that idiot Grimmjow is playing nice with the center. All my plans will be for nothing if I can't get those blood samples." "Why do you want their blood so much…" "Don't worry about what I want, you can't even do one job. Our deal is that you bring me valuable information on my subjects, and I get rid of Nel for you. You haven't brought me anything I can use. You are a useless spy…maybe I should reconsider my offer."
Tesra bit his lip. "I'm not useless…" He mumbled. "Ha, I don't see what you're worth anymore. You had a month to get me valuable information and this is all you have!? Pathetic." He stands up. "I will not waste my time with you. I'll just have to find another way to get close." Tesra stood up. "N-No! I can do this! You promised to get rid of Nel! How am I supposed to take that seriously!? You couldn't face Nel alone so why would this be any different!?" Szayel's eye twitched. He raised his hand and backhanded Tesra hard enough for him to taste blood inside his mouth. Tesra held his cheek. "Why should I give you anything when you can't give me shit." He kicked Tesra to the ground. "Who do you think you are trying to order me around!" He started to step on Tesra over and over. "You are nothing but a worthless piece of shit that I need to scrape off the bottom of my heels! You are nothing! NOTHING you hear me! Not even your own owner wants you and now here I am giving you a chance to be something, and you DARE order me around!"
He lifted his foot and then kicked Tesra in his stomach. Tesra coughs out. "S-Stop…please…" He begs. Szayel grabbed his hair and pulled him up. "Oh? Are you begging me? Tisk…I can't see what that fool even saw in you." He looked Tesra up and down and then licked his lips. "I take that back…I think I do see why he kept you around. He pins Tesra's head to the table.
Tesra's eyes widen as he felt his clothes being ripped off. "N-No! What are you doing!" "I'm trying to see what good you are for. If you can't be my spy, then maybe I'll use you as my plaything. Maybe that will boost your confidence a little bit." Tesra starts to tear. "NO! You can't touch me like this! This body belongs to my master!" Szayel chuckled. "And yet he would rather have a full-body woman like Nel. What can you do for him? Can you bear him a child? Can you care for him as she does? What qualities make you a perfect match for your so-called 'master'?" Tesra shook tearing. "Ho? You don't have an answer to any of those questions? Shameful. Creatures like you deserve to be put out of their misery if they don't have a master to answer to anymore. Nnoitra made it clear that he only sees you as free labor. The proof is right in front of you, and you refuse to see it…so let me test a theory." Szayel says with a dark chuckle. Tesra tried to scream out, but Szayel covered his mouth, sealing in his screams.
At the center, the walls and buildings were in the process of being torn down. At the sixth division, Byakuya was sitting in his office lost in thought. He had his pen in his hand. He was supposed to be signing off paperwork but all he could think about was the woman he met, Nia. 'I wonder if she got moved in.' The door opened and Renji walked in. "Sir, I have come to collect the papers." He stopped to see Byakuya in a daze. "Sir?" He rubbed his chin. "Byakuya sir. Are you okay?" Byakuya blinks and looked at Renji. "What can I do for you Renji." "The…paperwork?" Looking down at the desk they saw that Byakuya hasn't even started. "Mhmm…give me another hour. My mind was clouded for a moment." His hands started to move, signing the papers. "Sir is everything okay?" Renji asked sitting down. "I know we don't speak on a personal level but, I am here if you need to talk." Byakuya puts his pen down and sighs softly. "A few days ago, I ran into a woman." Renji's eyes widen. "A woman you say?" "She was rather…interesting…that is all. She had a nice smile and a sweet laugh…it was very refreshing I hoped that I run into her once more but…" Byakuya stopped talking. "You may go now. Come back within an hour or two." "Yes sir." Renji says getting up. He walked out of the room closing the door behind him. He powers walked to the elevator and hit his floor number. Digging in his pocket he called Rukia. "Hey…so…I think your bother might be lovesick?"
As the night rolled in, Oichi was sitting in her room, looking through her pad, listening to Grayson and the kids talk about how much fun they had. One by one they told her about their day. When it came to Bella, she expressed how happy she was that she was going to get a new mom. Oichi giggled at her cuteness. Finally, it was time for Kendric. The others had run off to the kitchen to get a small bedtime snack.
"Did you have fun, Kenny?" "Yes…" He then gave her a sad look. "What's wrong honey? Are you getting homesick?" "…can…can I have new mom?" Oichi blinks at his question. She then frowned. "Oh, Kenny…" She sat up. "Your mom…she…" Oichi was at loss on how to word this. "Auntie be mom?" He asked. "Wha…I…" "You nice. To me. Don't hit me. Gives lots of food too. I like hugs and babies…you be my mom?" Tears started to run down Oichi's cheek. She just couldn't understand how anyone could treat their own child so bad.
Grimmjow walked in with a sigh. "Hey, babe. I need your help with…" He frowned seeing the tears. "Hey, what's going on?" He walked over to her and saw Kendric. "Uncle…" Grimmjow took the tablet while Oichi cleaned her face. "Hey squirt what's going on." "Bella got new mom. Can I get one?" "You…want a new mom?" He nods. "You got a mom Kendric and she's crying her eyes out on the bed." Oichi gasps. "Grim!" "What? You want to give him back?" "No!" She yelled. "There you have it. No need for a new mom causes you already got a good one right here, okay?" Kendric smiles. "I do?" "Yup, so go on and get ready for bed." "Okay! I say night to mama!?" Oichi felt tugging on her heart. Grimmjow chuckled and handed the tablet back to Oichi. "Kenny…" Kendric gave her a soft smile. "Night mama!" Oichi smiled as more tears leaked out. "Good night honey." Kendric let out a little giggle before the call ended. Unable to hold it back, Oichi started to cry. "He is so adorable! I want to keep him forever!" Grimmjow shook his head and sat on the bed beside her. "There, there…sheesh. You cry a lot more when your pregnant" "Shut up!" She yelled through her tears.
Outside their door, Starrk was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed. He wanted to talk to them about something, but he figured now wasn't the best time. 'Must be nice to have a family to come to these days…' He rubbed his head and walked to his room. 'I'd hate to see him lose everything, so I guess I gotta put in a little effort…how bothersome.'
On the night of July 22nd, Oichi's 28th birthday. Oichi and Grimmjow were getting ready to head out to the party house. All the kids were already over with Izzy in tow. The twins and Nova were in a playpen playing together. Nova was up and walking around on her own, so long as she clings to something. Sophie was upstairs sleeping. Grayson and the others were in the playroom with Shelia and Amanda. Downstairs, Izzy was in the kitchen doing some homework when Oichi walked in. "Izzy we are heading out." Izzy looked up. "Okay. Have fun sis. Be careful out there." Grimmjow grabbed the keys and took her hand. "We will be back hopefully before midnight. Call me if you need anything." Oichi called out as Grimmjow pulled her along. Once Izzy heard the door shut and the car takes off, she pulled out her phone to text Yoshiro, Karin, Yuzu, and Jinta. "No way am I not having some kind of friends over while they are having a party."
At the party house, there was music already playing and food being set up. Hisagi was at the bar making both alcoholic drinks and nonalcoholic drinks. Ichigo, Ikkaku, and Renji were setting up the game table for poker. Jess was in the kitchen with Florina, Orihime, Tatsuki, Momo and Rukia. In the kitchen, the girls were looking at the ultrasounds for Orihime and Rukia. Orihime was having a girl and Rukia was having a boy. Momo giggled. "Aw! How cute! Do you have names yet?" Rukia nods. "Renji was excited to have a boy and picked out the name Reiki." Jess chuckled. "What about you Orihime?" "Oh, I haven't thought of a name yet. I was for sure I was going to have another boy for some reason." The women laughed as Rangiku walked in with a drink in her hand. "Sounds like you girls are having quite the fun time and without me! I don't have a drinking partner! Nel can't drink for another 2 months and Oichi is pregnant! Both my drinking girls are gone!" "What about Kira and Hisagi?" Momo asked. "Kira left some time ago. He said he felt out of place being the only person without a plus one and Hisagi is making drinks! He makes them the best. I can't have him drunk while making drinks." The women shook their heads.
The doorbell rings. "Oh! That must be Oichi!" Momo says rushing out. Making it to the front door she opened it and smiled to see Oichi. "Oichi! Happy birthday!" She hugged her. "Thanks, Momo." Oichi says with a laugh. They walked into the living room with Grimmjow closing the door behind them. "Hey, the birthday girl is here," Ichigo says. "Happy birthday!" Oichi giggles. "Thank you." Ikkaku looked over to Grimmjow. "I hope you brought a full wallet. I'll be taking you for everything you got." Grimmjow smirked. "You can't even beat me in a regular card game. You think you can beat me in poker?" "I got good luck on my side tonight. I even did my lucky dance with Emma today." Ichigo groans. "Please tell me you didn't teach that ridiculous dance to her." "I did and she enjoyed every second of it! We do it every morning before I go to work, and we did before I dropped her off! So, my luck is through the roof now!" Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "Sure whatever." Oichi smiles and kisses Grimmjow on the cheek. "Try not to embarrass him too much." "Ha! I refuse to make such a promise after all the gloating he is doing over there. I'll make sure he goes home butt ass naked."
Back at Oichi's house, Izzy was finishing up the last bit of her homework when the doorbell rings. She smiles and gets up skipping to the door. She opened it to see Yoshiro, Karin, Yuzu, Jinta, and two other boys she hasn't met before. "Um…I only invited four of you. What is with the extra two?" Yuzu giggled. "Let us in so we can explain!" Izzy sighs and lets them in eyeing the two new boys. They gathered in the living room where the twins and Nova were. "Aw! The twins are getting so big!" Yuzu says running over to the play pin. She smiles looking down at them. "Nova is cute too. She looks like a clone of Jess!" "Yeah, almost a bit creepy if you ask me." Yoshiro says sitting down beside Izzy. "So, who are you two?" She asked getting impatient. Karin blushed slightly and cleared her throat and points to the boy with green eyes and spikey, blonde hair with bangs that were covering his left eye. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with black pants and a black coat with a black cap over his head. "This is Yukio…he moved here a few months ago and I have been showing him around. We are also um…seeing each other. Nothing official yet…" Izzy's eyes widen for a bit and look at Yukio. "You…and him? He looks…almost kind of like your type…"
Yukio frowns. "You must be Izzy…I've heard a lot about you." "Oh?" Izzy says raising her eyebrow. "Such as?" "A lot of things really." He says taking out his phone. "I know that you are only related to your sisters by your father, that you had many one-night stands with different men like your mother. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree it seems. Whoring your way into college. I heard that your mother went insane because of you…" Izzy's eyes widen but before she could get up and smack him, Yoshiro got up first and grabbed Yukio by his coat. "Don't ever disrespect Izzy. She is nothing like you said! She is a smart and beautiful woman, and you will not slander her name!" He pushed Yukio to the floor, making him frown. "I will never understand why a noble like you are even with scum like her. She's only using you to get money. I'm sure once she drains you dry, she will be off to run another man into the ground just like her mother." He says getting up to brush himself off. Yoshiro growls and went to hit him but the other boy stopped him and then smacked Yukio so hard that his hat flipped off and fell on the floor. He then grabs his head and bends down to bow. "Please forgive this idiot! He doesn't know how to shut up when he needs to!" The boy yelled. His loud voice startled the girls.
Naomi got up and walked to the gate of the playpen and saw Izzy looking down upset and tearing up. She frowned and started getting fussy and that caused Alisha to start fussing and then Nova. Once they started to throw a full fit, The group heard footsteps rushing down the stairs. "What is going on!?" They heard Amanda yell out. She frowned looking at the new faces. "Izzy! Who are these…Izzy?" She saw Izzy looking down and a few tears hit her hand. "Izzy!?" She ran around the couch. "Izzy, why are you crying? Yuzu can you get the babies!?" Yuzu nods and goes over to the girls to calm them down.
Yoshiro rushed to Izzy's side. "Hey, don't cry Izzy. Don't let those words bother you." Izzy sniffed rubbing her eyes. "I'm not a saint and sure I did one-night stands, but I never did it to where I would be called a whore…it's not like I went around sleeping with every man I saw, and I would never do it for money…I would never use you like that. My mother…she…I will never be anything like her." "I know, I know. You proved that when I asked you to marry me remember? You don't talk much about your mom, and I respect that. If she was a bad person then no of course not, you will never end up like her." Karin frowned and looked at Yukio who sighs. "What is your problem? You didn't have to say such mean things about her like that! I thought you were cool and wanted friends!" Yukio sighs and crosses his arms. "It's not like I asked to be introduced to your friends. I was bored until the new game console came out. In the end, once your 'friends' find out about my money all they are going to want is for me to buy them stuff. Same old shit. Different day."
Amanda frowned and stormed up to Yukio and smacked him. Eyes widen. "You are nothing but scum!" She yelled. "I don't know who you are, but you walk into Ms. Oichi's house and insult her little sister! Nobody in here wants your dirty money and with your disgusting attitude, no none would ever want to be friends with you! Now you get out! Get out right now and never show your face around here or else I'll get my brothers and Grim to hurt you!" Yukio was looking at her in shock and surprise. He couldn't remember the last time he was struck. In fact, he couldn't even think of a time someone thought to hit him in the face. "W-Who are you?" He asked. "Amanda Louisenbairn! Now out!" She yelled pointing to the door. Yukio held his cheek and said nothing else as he walked to the door and left.
Yuzu was over at the playpen bouncing a toy around. The girls had calmed down and were staring at the toy. Amanda huffed out and looked at Izzy who had also calmed down. "Izzy! What is going on? Did you ask Ms. Oichi if it was okay to invite more people over!?" Izzy rubs her eyes. "Sorry..." Amanda looks at the boy behind them. "Who is this boy!" She says pointing.
"Oh. My name is Moe Shishigawara. I work at the local pet store and um I sold Ms. Oichi her dog and cat. I remember them coming into the store. She had like a really big belly at the time." "Must be when she had the twins." Karin says. "Moe is working with me at a part-time job." Jinta said. "I thought it would be cool if we all could hand out together. Since Izzy was babysitting, I assumed it would be a chill way to get to know each other more." Jinta said sitting on the couch. Amanda placed her hands on her hips. "I'm going to let Ms. Oichi know. I get that you are her sister, but you can't bring everyone into her home without telling her. We have all the babies here!" "Yeah, I know…sorry…" Izzy says. Amanda sighs. "That other boy was mean… was he your friend too?" Moe waved his hand. "He was mine. Sorry about him…sometimes he doesn't have an off switch. Other days he is mute…I don't know why he went on like that." He looked at Karin with a slight red tint on his cheeks. "S-Sorry Karin…I'll make sure I give him a good talking to." Karin looked away slightly. "Yeah…" Amanda sighs. "Well, you better behave yourself while you are here." She walked over to the twins.
They smiled at her. "Hi!" Naomi says waving her hand. "Hi! I'll be back to give you guys some yummy food!" She reached down and poked the girls in their tummies making them giggle. Naomi grabbed her finger. "So cute!" Yuzu smiled. "You are good with kids." Amanda smiled back. "I've been babysitting them a little when they can't make it to daycare. I take most of my classes online, so I have free time to watch them. I'm gonna call Ms. Oichi now." She says taking her phone out of her pocket. She heads into the kitchen. Izzy sighs. "That was bad…" "Izzy. I'm so sorry. He didn't act that way when it was just us." Karin says. Moe sat beside Karin looking a bit nervous. "Sometimes he is just an unreadable guy." Yuzu notices this and holds back a giggle. 'He looks more like her type.'
At the party house, it was going quite well. Grimmjow, Nnoitra, Ikkaku, Ichigo, Renji, and Yumichika was playing poker. The side door was opened since Grimmjow, Nnoitra, and Ikkaku were smoking. Chad who had come along with Mila and surprisingly Harribel and Mikey were playing pool with Tatsuki. Florina, Toshiro, Rangiku who brought Gin along, and Kira who came back with a load of ice, were at the bar with Hisagi. Things were a little awkward at first, but after a few drinks, they become quite lively. Oichi was sitting on the couch in-between Orihime and Rukia, all three of them were eating a full plate. Nel was sitting beside Orihime with a drink in her hand and Jess was sitting beside Rukia with a drink in her hand. Momo was in front with her phone over her head. They were playing heads up. The teams were Momo, Nel, and Orihime, vs Oichi, Jess, and Rukia.
Nel and Orihime had given Momo clues on the animal that was on her phone without saying any part of the animal's name on the card. Momo had gotten 5 right and there were 20 seconds left. Jess and the others had gotten 7 right. "Come on Momo! Think! It hops!" "It has a pouch on its belly!" "It has sharp nails to and kicks really, really hard!" "Um…what was that movie? Can we say the title!?" Momo gasps. "A kangaroo!?" "YES!" They yelled. Momo tilts her head up. 15 seconds were left as the word spider pops up. "Oh! Renji's hair looks like that sometime!" "A pineapple?" Momo asked. Oichi, Rukia, and Jess started laughing.
At the poker table, Renji frowned at that. "What's wrong with my hair…" "Uuuuhhhh it makes webs, and they are creepy!" Orihime said "Um webs? Like spiders!?" "Yeah! Tilt-up! Tilt-up!" Nel said until they heard the buzzer. "Woo!" Jess says. "7 to 6 we win!" "Yay!" Oichi says. Rukia smiles. Oichi's bag was over by Grimmjow. Her phone started to ring. He looks down and picks it up. He digs in her bag and pulls out her phone. He answers. "Hello?" "Grim! Hi! Can I speak with Ms. Oichi?" "Amanda? What's up? Something happen?" "Um yes, but I would rather talk to Ms. Oichi about it. It's about Izzy." "Mmhmm…" "Babe, phone." Jess got up and grabbed the phone from him and then passed it to Oichi. She cleaned her hands. "Thank you. Hello?" "Ms. Oichi hi!" "Hi dear. Everything okay?" "Well…I don't want to seem like a teller but um…Izzy invited some people over tonight." "She did? Who?" "I believe it was her boyfriend, Ichigo's sisters and one of their boyfriends, and two other guys. One who was super rude and made Izzy cry!" "What!?" Oichi says making the girls turn to her. Grimmjow frowned. "Is she okay? Who made her cry!? Do I need to see Grimmjow and Mikey down there!?"
"No…I kicked him out." "You…did?" Oichi hums out. "I'm gonna send Mikey by there just in case. Can you give the phone to Izzy?" "Sure." Oichi waited for a second. Mikey had come over from playing pool. "Something happen to the girls?" "No, Izzy." Oichi says. Florina grew worried. "Izzy? Is she okay? Should I go to?" "I'd rather you not." Hisagi said. "I can go if with Mikey if needed."
"Hey, sis…" Izzy says through the phone. "Izzy! What happened?" "W-Well…I thought since you were out for a while, I could invite Yoshiro and the others to keep me company and help with the kids…Karin and Jinta brought two new guys I've never seen before. The guy's name Yukio he um…w-well h-he…" "What did he say Izzy." "He said he knew things about me and my mother…said how I spread my legs like a whore just like her. How I was using Yoshiro just for his money. But I'm not." Oichi could hear how upset she was. She waved her hand to Mikey who took that as a sign to go. Florina looked at Hisagi who nodded and went off after Mikey. "I'm sending Mikey over to check on you okay. Just to make sure that guy isn't lurking around the house." "N-No you don't have to." "Yes, I do Izzy and we will talk more when I get back. Yoshiro and the girls can stay but you should have told me you were inviting others over." "Yeah sorry." "Call me back when Mikey gets there." "Okay." She says. Oichi hangs up with a sigh.
"Well?" Grimmjow asked leaning back in his chair. "Why did you send Mikey and not me? What's going on?" "Izzy invite Yoshiro, the girls, and Jinta over. Seems like they brought some new faces along with them. One of them, Yukio, I believe his name was. Called Izzy out her name and claimed he knew a lot of things about her and her mother. That makes me uncomfortable. I'd rather have Mikey there to make sure that boy isn't lurking around the house and to make sure Izzy is safe. I don't want her having to deal with her mother's insanity." Jess growls slightly. "That woman is still out and about?" "Yeah…but she's supposed to be far away. She shouldn't know that Izzy is here. Anyways, the babies are okay. Izzy is a little upset but with Yoshiro there she will be okay." Grimmjow hums out. "Alright…"
At the house, Izzy was snuggled up to Yoshiro who hugged her tightly. "Was Oichi mad?" "No, not really but she said she wanted to talk. I should have asked before inviting you all…" Yuzu smiles. "It can't be helped." Amanda came back down with Shelia and the kids in tow. "Okay, you all play in here while I make some snacks." "Aunties!" Kazui yelled running to Yuzu. "Aw! Hey there! Are you having fun!" He nods. Gray had his tablet and ran over to the twins. "Hey, sissys!" They giggled at him. "I get sissy too!" Ichika said hopping over. Emma and Bella sat on the floor with their dolls. "I wanna brother." Bella giggles. "I got Eli!" Eli runs over to Noah who was coloring in a book he brought down. "Where is Sophie?" "Still sleep. Nel said she sleeps a lot. I think she is a hard sleeper?" Amanda said walking into the kitchen. Yuzu got up. "Hey, do you mind if I help you in the kitchen!" "Sure!" Amanda says. The girls giggled as they walked into the kitchen. Karin looked at Izzy who had a sad look on her face. "Izzy, I am very sorry…If I knew he was going to be such a jerk I wouldn't have…" "It's okay. You never know true people colors…I just wonder how he knew about my mom." "You never talk about her." Yoshiro says. "I don't like to, nor do I want to right now." Yoshiro hugged her. "I understand."
Back in the house, the party was back in full swing. Rukia was in deep thought as the girls put on a dancing game. Nel and Jess were both playing while Oichi relaxed on the couch. Rukia was beside her lost in thought. Orihime was in the kitchen with Florina. They were making something for Oichi. The men were back to play Poker. Toshiro, Rangiku, Gin, and Momo were in the backyard enjoying the fresh air. Kira was playing pool with Tatsuki, Chad, Mila, and Harribel.
Oichi clapped along to the song Jess and Nel were dancing to. "Go! Go!" She says cheering them on. Rukia sighs slightly. "…I think my brother is in love…" That brought the party to another halt. Nel tripped over her feet and fell on the floor. Jess froze in place hearing this. The men at the table were widening. "Your…kidding…" Ichigo said. "It's true." Renji said. "He has been so distracted lately…he talked about a woman he met when he was out for a walk and how her smile and laugh put him at ease…I think he was even starting to look her up information." "Did he say a name?" Oichi asked. "No, he never gets that far." Rukia said. "I asked him about but all he said was that he found her interesting. At work, he be lost in a daze…I'm both worried and excited for him." "The fact that he found a woman his type is more amazing." Ichigo said. "I thought he'd go for a woman who is Strick on following the rules." "I thought he had a thing for flat chests and no shape." Grimmjow says blowing out smoke. "How the hell did you come up with that?" Ikkaku asked. "I don't know. He doesn't look like the type to handle a woman with curves." Oichi rolled her eyes. "Your so rude honey." "Oh please. You thought he was gay." Oichi gaps. "Hey! I told you that in confidence!" "What in the world made you think that!? He had a wife!" Rukia says in shock, a bit offended. "Hey, don't get mad at me. I am aware that he had a wife. I never said it out loud to anyone. He just looks like he would be more into men sometimes. Mikey is just the same though he prefers both. Nothing wrong with that."
Rukia gets up. "My brother does not see men in that way! He is attractive to women!" She says snapping at Oichi. Jess frowned. "Calm down Rukia. She isn't saying that he isn't attractive to women. It's not like a big secret anyway. When we were younger a lot of people thought he was sleeping around with men." Rukia gasps and sinks into the couch. "I'm sorry…I didn't mean to yell." "It's fine." Oichi says. "More so…this mystery woman seems to have caught Byakuya's eye. I hope he works up the courage to at least ask her out or something."
"Oichi!" Orihime calls out. Oichi turns around and spots Florina walking out with a panda face cake. "Ooo! Is that for me!" Oichi says getting very excited. It had candle number 28 on it. "Happy birthday sis! I know you wanted this to be a get-together but I wanted to back you a cake anyways!" Oichi giggled as Florina brought the cake to her. "Make a wish and blow out the candle." Oichi taps her chin. "A wish. What do I want…what do I want…I got my man, I got my kids, a job…I pretty much got what I wanted…Mhmm…oh! I got it." She then blows out the candle. "What did you wish for?" Jess asked. "Why do you always ask me that. I'm not telling you. Ever" Jess pouts. "Meanie." "Thanks Flo! You are the best!" Florina smiles. "I'll cut you a piece, okay?" "Thank you!"
At the house, Mikey and Hisagi pulled up in his car. They got and noticed a young boy sitting on the steps. Mikey frowned and walked up to him. "Hey, kid…are you Yukio?" The boy looked up holding his cheek. "Yeah, what of it…" Mikey narrowed his eyes and grabbed him by his collar. He held him up to where his feet were dangling. "You seem to know so much about my little sister. I would have figured you knew who I was too." Yukio started to struggle in his grip. "Let me go! Get off me!" "Not until I get answers. How do you, Sylvia? You a spy for her? You think getting to Izzy is going to make her run back home!?" "S-Sylvia, who is that!?" Mikey let out a low growl and pulled Yukio close to him, forcing him to look him dead in the eye. "That is Izzy's mother's name. You claimed you knew her didn't you." Yukio gulps. "I…may have heard of her…but it's not that I knew her personally." "Then you will do well never to mention her ever again. You are lucky that I am here and not our father. He would have snuffed your life out for even saying that much." He dropped Yukio. "Get the hell out of here and don't ever let me catch you around here." Yukio shivered and ran away. Mikey huffed out. "I'm surprised you didn't stop me." Hisagi had his arms crossed. "I see Izzy as my younger sister as well. I wouldn't have stopped you if roughed him up a little. Flo told me a bit about Sylvia…" Mikey put his hands in his pockets. "I hope she rots, where she is." He walked up to the door and knocked on it.
They waited until the door was opened by Shelia. "Mikey…why are you here?" "I need to check on you guys. That's all. You know how the moms worry." He says smiling. Shelia lets them in. Walking into the living room, they heard a loud scream. Mikey chuckled knowing that it was Naomi. He saw the playpen. She was bouncing up and down looking right at him. "Hey there Naomi. You look so cute when your excited to see me." Izzy sighs sitting up. "Mikey." "Hey, sis. Your rude friend was sitting outside but he is gone now." Izzy looked down. "He didn't know her. He was just saying tough stuff to hurt your feelings." Izzy rubbed her arms. "Yeah…" "Uncle!" Kendric went to Mikey and grabbed his leg. "Hey, Kenny. Hope you are being a good boy?" "Mhmm! Mama with you?" "No, she's still at the other house. She will be back soon."
"Everything seems to be in order. So, we are going back to the party. If you need anything give me a call, okay?" Izzy nods. "Tell Oichi I'm sorry." "Meh. Don't worry about it, sis. I'll stuff her full of food till she is in a food coma. She'll forget all about this." Izzy chuckled. "I see…thank you."
At the Kuchiki manor, Byakuya was sitting in his office with a glass of red wine. He sighs heavily. No matter what he did he couldn't get Nia out of his mind. He had only met her once so why was he so intent on this woman. He tried to look her up, but she wasn't connected to anyone that he could think of. He sat the glass down and leans back in his chair. He ran his fingers through his hair. 'I know where she lives…maybe…' He closed his eyes. 'I cannot believe I am thinking about doing so…out of character…'
Getting up he grabbed his jacket and his keys. His butler walked up. "Sir? Are you going somewhere?" "I'm going out. I'll be back later." He says opening the door and closing it. Walking to his car he got in and drove into the city and parked in the sweet shop parking lot. They were usually open this late for some reason. The sky was clear tonight, and it wasn't as chilly as it has been lately. He set his alarm and walked around to the sidewalk when he was approached by a familiar scene.
"I said get your hands off of me! Jeez, why do you keep following me!" It was Nia. She was wearing a light purple sweater with a cute swallow scarf with black leggings and snow boots. She was being grabbed by the same two men who bothered her the first time. "Shut your mouth woman! Without that noble backing you up we can do whatever we want to you!" "Noble or not! My sister will have your sacks once she gets here! Get off me!" She yelled trying to pull away. She tried smacking him in the face, but he easily caught her hand. "Stupid woman! You need to learn your place!" He pushed Nia down to the payment and cracked his knuckles. "Let's see how well you do when you are covered in bruises!" He threw a punch at her. She closed her eyes and held up her arms to defend herself.
When nothing happens, she slowly opened her eyes and saw someone in front of her holding the man's fist. "I see you have not learned your lessons…" "M-Mr. Kuchiki!" The two men gasp. "Damn! Why do you keep popping up! Leave us alone." "I share that same feeling. Do you two plan to harass her every time she goes on a walk? It's pathetic." He pushed the man back. "Leave now. The police will arrive to take you in tomorrow morning. I suggest you make peace with yourself by then." "P-Police!? You don't even know where we live!" "27th Eastern Street apartment 114. If you aren't there, then Surely you will be at your favorite hangout spot on the western corner next to the mall and if you happen to not be there then they will find you in the bar on 18th street." The men grew pale. "Leave. Now." Byakuya says in a cold voice. The man shook and ran off quickly.
Byakuya shakes his head. "I will need to tell Toshiro that this area needs more patrolling." "Mr. Kuchiki?" Byakuya glances back. Nia was looking up at him holding her wrist. "Were you hurt?" He asked. "Just a little bruise. Nothing that won't heal…" Byakuya held out his hand. Nia took it. 'Her hands are so warm…' "Why are you out here this late?" He asked. "I was meeting my sister here. I was on the phone with her when those guys came. They took my phone and smashed it." She pointed behind him. He spotted the broken phone. "I'm sure my sister is on the way at this point. She's scary when she gets mad." "Shall I wait with you? There is a 24-hour food store right across the street." Nia smiles. "You'd do that for me?" "You seem to be a target for thugs. I would be a bit worried if I left you alone at this point." Nia laughed rubbing the back of her head. "I've been told I am quite the danger magnet for some reason. I never know why though…maybe I look like an easy target." Byakuya hums out. "Come along." He says walking across the street. Nia followed him.
Entering the food mark Nia hums at the food that was being made in the back. "I could go for a burger. Would you like one?" "I'll pass…common food like that doesn't sit well with my taste." "Mhm…spoken like a man with too much money and time on his hands." She wrapped her arm around him and pulled him to the back. In the back was a small burger joint that shared the area. Nia pulled Byakuya to the front with her. "Excuse me. Can we have two burgers? One with pickles, cheese, and bacon? Small fry and a bottle of water?" She looked at Byakuya who didn't look too impressed. "…Just one with all the works…and a bottle of water as well." The lady nods and went to the back to cook the burgers. 10 minutes later she handed them a bag and their water.
They went to sit at a table next to the window to keep a lookout for Nia's sister. Nia unwrapped her burger and bit into it. "Mmm…not like it's homemade but it sure does hit the spot." Byakuya bit into his as well. It was silent between them as they ate. "…you said your daughter is running your bakery now?" Byakuya says opening his bottle of water. "Yes, back home." "Is she your only child?" Nia rubs her arm. "No…I um…four. Two daughters and two sons." "I see…" "Do you have any children?" "…I do not…my late wife was unable to conceive due to the illness she succumbed to." "Oh…I…I'm sorry for your loss…" She rubs the side of her bottle with her thumb. "I also lost my husband two years ago. It's still a hard thing to process." "What happened? If you don't mind me asking." Byakuya asked. Nia frowned. "He was caught in the crossfire trying to save our children. He took a bullet meant for my youngest son. He died on the way to the hospital. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him. I guess that is the part that hurts the most.
Byakuya glanced down. Even when the illness took Hisana's life he at least was able to be by herself to the end. Not being able to say goodbye to the one you love sounds like it is truly painful. He looked at Nia's face. He could see it in her eyes. The pain she was still going through. "I am sorry for your lost." He said. Nia hides her pain and smiles. "Thank you, I often wonder if the pain will go away if it ever gets better you know. I'm sometimes scared to move forward because I don't want to lose the memories, I had with him. I know he would hate it if I was stuck in the past but…" She grew silent and let out a sigh. "Sorry, I don't do so well with sad stories. Do you mind if we change the subject?" "Yes…" Nia looked at the window and saw a car screech to a halt. "That looks like my sister's car." Byakuya's eyes grew large. He instantly recognized the car and the person who rushed out.
The person ran into the food store wearing a dark purple jacket and black jeans and shoes. "Nia!" Nia giggled and slid out of the seat. Byakuya couldn't believe his eyes. 'This is her sister!?' Nia smiled holding out her arms. "Danni!" She was tackled into a hug.
Danni pulled away. "Are you okay!? Were you hurt! Why didn't you answer your phone! I was worried sick! Why the hell didn't you wait for me!" "Calm down sis jeez! It wasn't my fault. Yes, I am fine. No, I'm not hurt. I didn't answer because some thugs jumped me and broke my phone. Mr. Kuchiki came along and help me through and he offered to sit with me until you came!" Danni looked at Byakuya. They stared at each other for a moment. "…Byakuya…what the hell?" Nia tits her head. "You know him, Danni?" "Yeah…why are you with him?" "I told you! He helped me when those thugs jumped me at the store." "You mean you were talking about him!? What!?" Byakuya stood up. "I will take my leave." Nia frowned. "Already…" "Yes, I agreed to wait until your sister was here, and now that she is…I will head home." "Oh…" Nia looked a bit disappointed. Byakuya felt a tug at his heart looking at the disappointment on her face.
Danni looked at them back and forth and then sighs. "Oh, good grief…" She digs in her pocket and pulls out a card. She hands it to Byakuya. "I need a favor. This is going to be Nia's new number tomorrow. I would like for you to take her on a tour." "Why." Byakuya says. "Shut up and take the card. I have work and I don't have enough time to take her. Plus, you have seen how she attracts danger. With your status, she will be safe with you." Byakuya looks at the card and takes it. "What if I refuse." "Then I'll tell Yoruichi to release all of those cute photos of you to everyone in your division." Byakuya narrows his eyes. "…Very well…" He quickly took his leave. Nia watched him go. "Unbelievable…out of the guys you could meet you meet him and fall for him too." Nia blushed. "I have not! Now that I know he is a friend of yours he is clearly too young for me!" "So? You're a few years older but so was your man. Anyways let's go. Tell me what those guys who bothered you look like. I'm going to kick their asses for even looking in your direction. Nia chuckles. "You never change sis."
Weeks went by fast, and it was the end of August. It was around 10 pm. At Oichi's, she had been sleeping for most of the day. She was off for maternity leave so all she did was sleep and eat. She was dead to the world and sometimes it worried Grimmjow. A sudden pain ran through her body jolting her awake. She holds her stomach feeling a cramping feeling. "Oh goodie…it's…time…?" She frowns rubbing the bed. It felt moist. "Ew…did I sweat while I was sleeping? I hate that…" She rolls out of bed and holds on to the bed frame. She instantly felt something different. "Huh? What…G-Grim!" She called out panicking a little. She walked to the door. The pain was getting more intense. She had an urgent feeling that she wanted to start pushing.
Grimmjow had been sleeping in the living room at times. The girls were down there as well sleeping in the playpen. Oichi pants and goes to the stairs. "GRIMMJOW!" She screams out. She heard a crash from downstairs. Within a few seconds, she heard rushing up the stairs. "Babe! What's wrong! Is it time!" "Hospital! Now! He…He's coming!" She yelled. "What!?" Oichi groans out. "Shit. Shit. Shit." He grabbed her hand and led her downstairs. "Go on to the car." He rushed past her and bangs on the door of Amanda and Shelia. Amanda opened the door in a hurry. "It's time!" "Stay here and watch the kids." Grimmjow says. "Huh? But I thought we were…" They heard Oichi screaming. "GRIMMJOW!" "Fucccck…just stay with the kids okay!" He rushed downstairs to see the twins were awake from Oichi's screaming. "Come on babe." He grabbed his keys and hooked an arm around her, pulling her out the door.
Amanda ran downstairs to check on the twins. They were sitting up still sleepy. They laid back down and went to sleep. Amanda giggled at them and then frown. "I hope Ms. Oichi is going to be okay. I should call Ms. Jess!" She went to the house phone and dialed Jess's number.
At Jess's, she was cuddling up on Ulquiorra after two hours of loving making. Ulquiorra was reading a book with one hand while the other was around Jess. He heard Jess's phone go off. Closing the book, he reached over her and grabbed her phone. "Hello?" "Hi, Mr. Ulquiorra! I was calling to let you know that the baby is coming!" "Mhmm…are you getting ready to leave now?" "Um…well no. Ms. Oichi was screaming really bad so she and Grim left us here…she didn't sound so good." Ulquiorra sighs. "Alright. We are on the way." He hangs up. He shakes Jess gently. She starts to stir. "Hmm? Can I take a break…my hips hurt a little…" She says in a mumble. "Oichi and Grimmjow are heading to the hospital. Looks like the baby is coming faster than expected. They left the kids at home." Jess sat up. "What?" She flipped the cover off and grabbed some clothes. "I'll stay with Nova. You should go on." Ulquiorra says eyeing her body. "Thanks love!" Jess says slipping on some panties and a bra. She grabbed her Harley quin sweatpants, shirt, phone, wallet and rushed out of the room. Reaching the door she slipped on a pair of flats, grabbed her keys and jacket, and rushed out. She dialed Nel's number as she jumped into the car and took off. "Hello…" Nel says yawning. "Nel! Hospital now!" Jess says. "Is the baby coming? I'll be there soon." Jess hangs up. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her gut.
At the hospital, Grimmjow couldn't get up with Uryu because there had been a 10-car pileup an hour ago. He was helping with surgeries. Even worse, due to the expansion, some of the wings were closed off and the hospital was short-staffed. Oichi was panting as she leans on the wall. Grimmjow was at the counter. "I need someone to help! She's in pain!" "I'm sorry sir, we are trying to get someone down here now. All the doctors have their hands full. Oichi gasps as she felt something coming. She started screaming holding her belly. Grimmjow panic along with the nurses at the counter. "Babe!?" He rushed to her holding her hand. "H-He's coming!" Oichi yells with tears in her eyes. Blood started to leak from her making her panic more. "Dammit! I need some fucking help!" Grimmjow yelled at the top of his lungs.
"I can help!" A tall and lean young man says rushing to them. He had shoulder-length white hair. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants with matching shoes and a black scarf that wrapped around his neck twice.
"It looks like she is going into precipitate labor in other words fast labor. She must have been in labor and didn't even realize it until the last minute." "Seriously!? That's a thing!" Grimmjow says holding Oichi up. The man lifted Oichi's dress, removing her panties. He could around see the head already coming out. Oichi squeezed Grimmjow's hand as she screamed more. The pain was unbearable.
Moments later, the doors to the hospital opened and Jess rushed in to hear Oichi screaming. "Oichi!?" She pushed past people just in time to see the young man reach up to catch the baby with his scarf, as he came right out. His cries echo through the lobby. Oichi's legs grew weak as more blood leaked out of her, she fell. Grimmjow caught her and they slide to the floor. His face was pale seeing this. "Oichi! Grimmjow!" Jess yelled. The young man was holding the baby. He had light brown skin and light blue hair. A nurse ran up with a blanket. They cut the cord and wrapped him in the blanket. Oichi was panting heavily. "Why the hell did she have the baby out here!?" Jess yelled as they took the baby to the nursey. A doctor came rushing up with a gurney. "Quickly, place her up here." Grimmjow looked a little out of it, holding on to Oichi who was passing out. Jess bit her lip and smacked the back of his head. "Wake up you idiot!" Grimmjow jolt and blink. "R-Right…" He picked up Oichi and put her on the gurney. They quickly rushed her to the back. Jess frowned and looked at Grimmjow. He was looking at his hand. They were shaking. Jess grabbed his arm. "She will be okay both her and the baby." "Yeah…"
An hour past and Jess and Grimmjow were sitting in the waiting room. Nel walked in yawning. "What's going on? Grimmjow had his head down in silence. Jess sighs. "The rooms were so full that Oichi couldn't get a room. She also had a fast labor and had the baby right there in the damn lobby." "Are you for real!?" Nel asked in shock. "She lost a lot of blood during the process. We are waiting for someone to tell us something. Nel frowned and sat on the other side of Grimmjow. She rubbed his back. "How is the baby?" "Healthy and active." Jess says.
Uryu walked into the room. "Hey." Grimmjow's head snaps up. "Well?" Uryu smiles. "Oichi will be just fine. We gave her a thorough checkup. She will be out for a short while." They sigh in relief. "I apologize Grimmjow…we are short-staffed and the upgrade of the hospital is causing more issues. Not to mention that ridiculous car piles up at the last second…no one died thankfully." Jess sits back in her seat. "Can we see the baby?" Uryu nods and steps to the side. Nemu walked in holding a blue blanket. "Nemu? What are you doing in here!?" Nel asked. "They were short staff and I have knowledge in the medical field already. I will be working here until I find something to do with my life. Here is your son."
Grimmjow got up and walked to her. He took the baby from her. "My son…" Jess and Nel got up and looked at him. "Ugh, he has your hair…great another clone." Jess giggled. "You have a name for him?" "Yeah, Cyrus."
Hearing the name, Cyrus opened his eyes. "Aww! He has Oichi's eyes!" Nel says. "But he still has Grimmjow features…" She goes on with a defeated tone. Cyrus smiled up at Grimmjow. "When can we see Oichi?" He asked. "In another hour. They are getting her cleaned up and placing her in a room. Again, I'm sorry you had to go through that. Grimmjow handed Cyrus back to Nemu. "We will prepare the bassinet and bring him to Oichi's room." She walked out right as Cyrus started to get a little fussy.
Around 4 am, Oichi's eyes fluttered open. She felt heavy. She turns her head and saw a bassinet right beside her bed. She smiled tearing. "My baby boy…" She whispered. She tried to sit up but her back and hips started to throb. She hissed out a bit and laid backed down. "Ow…" The door to her room opened and Grimmjow walked in with a bottle of water. He smiled. "Hey, babe." "Grim…help?" He chuckled and walked over to the bed. Putting the bottle down he hit the button on the bed that lifted the bed. He helped her sit up without moving her too much. She looked to her right and smiled brightly looking at her son. "He's so cute. He has your hair. Aw." "I gave him the name Cyrus." "I love it. I wanna hold him." Grimmjow walked around the bed and went to the bassinet. He carefully picked up Cyrus and brought him to her. She giggled holding him. "He is so cute and soft…oh honey…" She tears. "He is so adorable." Grimmjow sat on the bed. "Do you remember what happened?" Oichi sighs. "Yeah, having him right there in the lobby…one of these days I'm going to have a normal delivery." "It's always an exciting time." Oichi chuckled and rubbed Cyrus's hand. "Grim…I know we both want more kids but, I'd like to get the implant." Grimmjow frowned. "Taking a break from baby-making? I don't have an issue we got the twins, Kendric, and now Cyrus. Add on Amanda and Shelia and I think we have a pretty big family already and we haven't tied the knot just yet." Oichi giggled. "Maybe once the kids start school officially, we can revisit the baby-making session. Grimmjow smiles and rubs her cheek. Cyrus woke and started to fuss. He opened his eyes and saw Oichi. "Red eyes. So cute! Hi little Cy. I'm your mama!" Cyrus's eyes grew wide and stared at her before letting a tiny smile appear on his lip. "Aw, he smiled at me." She held him up cuddling him slightly. "I love you, my baby boy."
Outside the room, Jess was leaning on the wall. 'I wonder when me and Ulquiorra are going to have another baby…' She rubbed her belly. She looked at her ring. 'In February we tie the knot finally.' She sighs and crosses her arms. Nel walked up. "Oichi awake?" "Yeah. She and Grimmjow are talking about the implant." "Oooo…did he lose it?" "No, he was actually pretty understanding…surprisingly." "That man sure has changed. I called Ichigo and the others. They want pictures of little Cyrus. Ichigo and Chad are also heading to Oichi's to check on the kids." Her phone digs. She looks at it and frowned. "Great…" "What's up?" Jess asked. "Nnoitra texted me. Tesra hasn't been answering his phone." "Is he worried?" "No, he is more upset that he didn't take his stuff and he wanted to know if he could toss his room and make it Sophie's playroom." Jess laughed. "Really?" "Yup. I guess Tesra finally saw that this wasn't worth it. I hope he finds a better life than following Nnoitra." "You should paint the room white and add cute animals on it. I can help." "That sounds cute. Maybe Sophie can find a favorite animal or something. I was thinking of making it into a game room for Gray. He is starting to get hooked on more video games. I'll text Nnoitra back."
"Excuse me." Jess and Nel noticed the same young man who helped Oichi walk up to them. "I was told that the young woman I helped was resting here?" Jess nods. "Yes, thank you for helping her." "It's no problem. No one else here stepped up even when they had qualified nurses here. Is it alright if I could speak to her? I only wish to make sure she and her baby are doing, okay?"
Jess nods and knocks on the door. "Are you two decent?" The door opened. "Oh, shut up." Grimmjow says shaking his head. "Only you and Ulquiorra have the guts to actually do it here." Jess blushed. "S-Shut up! Look this man…" She blinks and turns to him. "Um, what's your name?" "It's Kokuto." Grimmjow glanced at him. "You helped Oichi didn't you." Kokuto nods. "Come in."
They all walked into the room. Oichi was holding Cyrus's hand. "Look how cute you are." She giggled. "You got a visitor babe." Oichi looked up and smiled brightly. "Oh! You're the one who helped us. Thank you so much!" Kokuto smiled. "I'm glad you both are doing well." "I'm sorry about your scarf." "It's fine. Other than keeping my neck warm it didn't have many purposes until today." "I can make you another one. As thanks for helping us." "Really? I don't want you to go that far for a stranger." "Just take the damn offer." Grimmjow said shockingly. Jess and Nel's eyes widen slightly. Kokuto chuckled. "Then thank you." "I run a fashion shop in the city. Stop by and ill have it finished for you." Kokuto nods. "Then I will see you then. Take care." Once he left, Jess stepped over and smiled down at Cyrus. "Can I hold him?" "Sure!" Oichi says handing Cyrus to her, breaking his staring contact. His eyes grew wide looking at Jess. "Hi, little Cy. I'm your auntie, Jess!" Cyrus got teary-eyed and started to fuss. Jess rocked him but nothing worked. She frowned. "Why is he crying?" She handed him back to Oichi. His cries suddenly stop making Grimmjow laugh. Jess pouted. "Oh…he is going to be a mama's boy." Oichi giggled rubbing Cyrus's cheeks.
Kokuto was standing by the wall before he walked around the corner. He took out his phone and dialed a number. He slipped into an empty floor that was being blocked off. Sliding down to the floor he sighs as he took out a small syringe of blood. "If you are calling me, I assume you have good news?" "I have the blood sample from one of your targets." "Excellent! Bring it right over. How about the other?" "It will take some time to get that one." "I see…well this is enough for now. Good work." "Hey, you better hold up the end of our deal." "Don't worry, I have the money wired into your account already. You kept true to your word, so I hope you don't mind staying in business with me a little longer." Kokuto snitched his teeth. "Pass…I just need the money your promised me. I don't do this work out of enjoyment." "Mhmm, you say that, but you can't deny your true self. I will be in touch." Kokuto sighs and hangs up. 'Man…what did I get myself into this time.'
Outside the city limits within the deep forest, there was a fairly made cabin that was well hidden. Inside the cabin, everything was covered in dust. Nothing had been touched. However, there was a latch that was hidden until an old torn rug. Within this latch was a more modern underground lab. Laughter fills the lab, as Szayel slams his hands on his desk. "Finally. I am one step closer to perfection!" He rubs his face and sighs out almost pleasurably. "I have long waited for this moment. I just need to be a little more patient." He heard a cough. Sighing he glanced over his shoulder to see Tesra, laying on a small bed, naked and bruised. He laid there almost lifeless with a chain around his neck. It was hooked into the wall. Szayel walked over and grabbed his hair roughly and forced him to turn over. Tesra tried to turn his head, but he was much too weak to deny him. "Well now, I must give you some credit. I thought you would have kicked the bucket by now. Then again you were with Nnoitra for the most part…being his punching bag must have increased durability with you." Tesra frowned. "M-Master Nnoitra…will come for me…just you wait…" Szayel laughed and released his head. "He will not. I am amazed that you still think that."
He walked over to his desk and grabbed a notebook. Opening it, he flipped towards the middle, grabbed a pen, and started writing. "Subject 134 still hasn't been broken in. His will is still high with a strong belief that his 'master' will save him. Counting down the days until I break his mind and spirit.' He smirked as he tapped his chin with the pen. "I came up with an interesting test. Oh, this will be fun."
