Months went by and it was July 1st. The center accepted the change done to the city. With the new school finally completed, the center was completely torn down and a few of them were rebuilt into different and newer buildings.
Division one was turned into a large town hall. Here Genryusai Yamamoto was getting Shunsui ready for the main transition to take over. After the replacement of central 46 Yamamoto had appointed from both sides of the city to join the new council he put forward. Here in this building, is where the new rules of law will be made as well as decisions on the future of the city. It was agreed that it would be better if those who lived in Hueco Mundo had a voice that could represent them. There was still no word on a mayor or a governor of the city just yet.
Division two was now a large military base. It was still in construction and was located outside the city. It had an underground bunker that connected to the government buildings. Division three had already made its mark with the new mailing system. Division four was still reconstructing the hospital and a smaller urgent care. With Byakuya's force of power and money, he was recruited to join Oichi on her school board. There, she allowed him to be the one to hire the rest of the members so long as he discussed it with her first. Both tagged teamed on hiring the teachers for the school, getting the facilities ready, making sure the uniforms were ready to be sent out, all the courses were picked, and much more. It all went smoothly with Byakuya to Oichi's relief. Kensei had his news station set up now and controlled what went on the air. Hisagi oversaw which show went to which station and the airtime they had. He shared the spot with a new recruit who had yet to show up, to Kensei's annoyance. Oichi had no part in the new stations, and she was told to focus on the fashion department as she had done before she took over. She didn't mind that.
Toshiro got his new police stations and jail cells. There were also approved classes on policing and refresher courses for those who needed to be retested or evaluated. It would be a 5-year requirement so that the police force can stay on its toes. Kenpachi also got larger prisons and better conditions for his workers. Ikkaku took his role as a chief deputy warden under Kenpachi. Mayuri sealed himself away in his newly rebuilt lab. He was only seen when there were meetings but he claimed he was working on new projects that were sure to help the city or so he claims.
At the new police building, Toshiro was made the police commissioner and was sitting in his office doing some paperwork. His office was covered in awards and medals from his time before all this happened. He didn't want the awards hanging but without his permission, Momo and Rangiku had started decorating it. Knowing it would be too bothersome to take it all down he just left it as it was. Leaning back in his chair he looked out the large window into the city. It looked peaceful. He leans on his elbow and reaches out to grab a picture of him and Momo. They had taken it during one of their dates.
There was a knock on his door. "Come in." He commands. The door opened and Rangiku walked in with a frown. "Sir…we have a problem." Toshiro sits up. "What is it?" Rangiku pouts. "You haven't given me the day off for a whole month! Even I need rest you know! Just look at my eyes, I'm getting bags! I'm too young to get these!" Toshiro's eye twitch. "If that is all you have to complain about then may actually finish your work! I wouldn't have to force you if you just DO IT!" He yelled slamming his hands on his desk. Rangiku pouted even more and started shaking her fist. "No fair! I want to go shopping and have lunch with Gin! I can't do that if you keep me stuck here! Please can I just go out for lunch! I swear I will be back in 15 no 25 minutes!" "Sure." Toshiro says calmly. Her eyes sparkled. "Really!?" "After you finished your work." Rangiku gave a pouty cry and sulked back to her desk. Toshiro groans. "I swear, why do I have to get the lazy one. I wonder if I can switch her out or something."
In the new town hall, Yamamoto was sitting at the head of a council table. On his left were those who had represented the center and Shunsui. On his right were those who had represented Hueco Mundo before Aizen took over. They were all appointed government official titles, and they were a meeting to discuss the next plan of action. It was agreed that within the next few years as he prepared his new role as the mayor of the city, Shunsui would become the new city manager. Under him would be Nanto who would hold the title of Assistant city manager. With Unohana now fully backing the hospital, her position of legal rights had been passed down to Isane who was named the city Attorney.
There was an opening position for Finance Director but there was a slight argument when one of the nobles wanted the position. So, for now, Yamamoto would still take care of that spot. Toshiro had already taken the role of the police commissioner, but they were looking into getting a fire chief as well. It was noticeable that the fire department wasn't the best and it could use some new leadership. The only question was who to fill that spot. There were more spots that were being assigned to each person and they were all going over the duties that they needed to fil to make this city become one.
Shunsui yawns, as the meeting started to end. "Before we all go, how about we do a name change for our little city." "A name change?" A young man asked. "Well, we can't go on saying you guys are from here and we are from here. If we are coming together as one, the city needs a new name. How about we each come up with a few and go over them at the next meeting?" They smiled and nodded at him. "I like that idea." Once all of their things were collected, they exited the meeting room leaving Yamamoto and Shunsui alone.
Shunsui rubs the back of his neck. "Well, that was fun. How are you holding up old man?" "Hm?" Yamamoto says looking slightly out of it. Shunsui glances over the table and chuckled. He was holding his phone in his hand looking at a bunch of pictures of the kids that Oichi had sent beforehand. He had asked her if she could start sending him pictures and she happily agreed to it. Every now and then she would just spam his phone with pictures. He was just making it through the recent batch where the girls were eating some cake and got it all over their faces. "Were you even listening to the meeting?" "Of course, I was." "It is nice of her to send you pictures of the kids. I bet you feel all fuzzy inside. You can always go join them since you will be retiring soon." Yamamoto huffed out and closed his phone. "Just seeing them in a distance is fine." He stood up. "Now if you will excuse me, I have other work I must attend to." Shunsui chuckled and watched him leave.
At Oichi's and Grimmjow's new house, they had all settled in and were going to be throwing a cookout and pool party later after everyone got off work. Ulquiorra had somehow convinced Jess that they didn't need to move. It upset her but she still brought the house just in case.
In the living room, Oichi giggled as she took a picture of the twins wearing their first swimsuits. "Your great grandpop is going to love these." Naomi had on a cute light blue one-piece and Alisha had on an adorable light-yellow one-piece that had a frizzle around the waist. They both giggled as Oichi snapped more pictures. "So cute! I love my little babies!" She put her phone down and picked them both up. "Snuggle time!" She screams as she snuggles the girls making them squeal and giggle even more.
In the kitchen, Grimmjow heard the girls and chuckled. He was getting the food ready to grill. Kendric was sitting on the counter helping. "Mama, okay?" He asked, hearing them scream. "They are fine. Just having their girl time." He looked over to Cyrus who was napping away in his baby chair. "Girl time?" Kendric asked. "Yup, just like we are having some boy time." "Oh…" He smiled. "HeeHee." Grimmjow ruffled his head.
The doorbell rings and it echoes through the house. Luckily Cyrus was a heavy sleeper. "I got it!" Oichi yelled from the living room.
Reaching the door, she touched the touchpad near the door. It was a new security feature Grimmjow had installed. It showed and recorded anyone at the front door so Oichi could see before she opened the door. The screen popped up and it was Jess, Ulquiorra, and Nova. Nova was waving in the camera making Oichi smile. "So cute." She opened the door and Jess huffed out. "It took you forever to open the door." "It did not you big baby. Go settle in the back." Jess chuckled and walked in. Her large belly poked through her light green maternity shirt. "Should you be moving around?" Oichi asked. "I moved just as much when I was pregnant with Nova. I'll be fine." Jess says spotting the twins who were sitting on the playmat now. "Aww! Look how cute you both look!" The twins looked and smiled. "HI!" They said together. Jess had hearts in her eyes. "AWWWW! They said it together!" Oichi busted out laughing at her making her pout and blush a bit. "What? They are cute."
Ulquiorra walked in carrying Nova, her bag, and Jess's bag. He let out a small sigh. "Jess, quickly sit down. Your feet will swell." Jess only nods her head as she heads to the bathroom. Ulquiorra sighs again. "Auntie!" Nova says reaching a handout. "Hi, sweetie. Looks like you're ready to play in the pool too!" She took her from Ulquiorra. "You can leave Nova's bag. I know you are worried about Jess." He nods and walks off to the bathroom. Oichi shakes her head. She didn't know if Jess knew but he was worried about her. He had strangely called her the other day to speak about it. Shockingly Oichi could even hear a quiver in his voice. He was scared, fearing Jess might have another close call as she did with Nova. She found it cute that he was so worried, and she was a little happy that he felt comfortable talking about it to her.
Walking back into the living room she sat Nova with the twins. "Hi!" Nova said. "Hi!" The twins replied to her, and they all giggled.
The doorbell rings again. Oichi goes to answer it and this time it was Nel, Nnoitra, Grayson, and Sophie. "Sissy's!" He yelled running past Oichi. "Wow…I was totally ignored." Oichi says with a shrug. Nel groans. "I swear he loves his sisters more than us now. It wasn't too long ago that he was clinging to us and calling us both mamas." Oichi smiled and looked at the car seat to see Sophie awake. "She is so cute!" Nel smiled. "Don't let that face fool you. She is loud when she wants attention. Just like her father." Nnoitra rolled his eyes. Once they were inside, Nnoitra went to the kitchen where Grimmjow was. Jess was now in the living room watching the girls play. Ulquiorra was leaning on the wall near the kitchen watching her.
Jess sighs. "Seriously…" she whispered. Oichi was holding Sophie. "He is just worried about you sis. Indulge him a little." She whispered over to Jess. "He wants me to sit down 24/7. I can't do that when Nova is getting to the point that she wants to explore the house." Jess whispered back. "I'm sure he can handle it." "Lies, I was taking a nap the other day and I heard a mini-explosion in the living room. Nova was crying and throwing a tantrum, and, in her anger, she smashed her dollhouse into pieces! Ulquiorra just stood there and let her do it!" Nel whistles. "Well, he could have been doing that tough love thing. Not giving her what she wants." She whispers.
Oichi rolled her eyes. "Oh, for the love of…Ulquiorra? Can you go to the kitchen, please? We can watch Jess. She isn't going anywhere." Ulquiorra glanced at them and then heads to the kitchen. "Sheesh, I shouldn't have to whisper in my own home…now back to the conversation. I agree with Nel. Nova has a sweet tooth now, doesn't she? You spoil her with the pudding cups you make me, and I don't think Ulquiorra is the type to follow suit just yet." "True…" Jess says rubbing her belly. "Now that I think about it, I doubt he had this type of life when he was younger. He told me he couldn't even remember his own parents." Jess says with a sad expression on her face. "Yeah, Grimmjow said he doesn't know his mom, but his father was…well you know…" Nel nods. "It's like that with all of us. We were all unwanted, but we were able to somehow pull ourselves out of that and move on with our lives." She looked at Jess. "Ulquiorra never had a father figure you know. So, he might be winging this. Going with logic than emotion. When Nova gets fussy, he must be analyzing why she is fussy and reduce what could be done to make her happy. When she throws a tantrum, he might see that she is getting a habit that may need to be broken early."
Jess nods. "Yeah, I know. He might not see it but, he is a great father and Nova loves her daddy. Isn't that right sweetheart." Nova looked at her mother and smiled. "Yes!" The girls laughed. "Oichi? Have you and Grimmjow set a date for the wedding yet?" Nel asked. Oichi sighs deeply and turned her head slightly. Both Jess and Nel frowned. "Still deciding?" Oichi nods. "I suppose. We haven't talked about it much since the girls got taken." "Did he ever talk about that dream he had?" Jess asked. "Yeah, but I would rather not talk about it here." Oichi says bouncing Sophie.
Kendric was eating some peaches while Grimmjow and Nnoitra had a beer, in the kitchen. "What's that?" Kendric asked pointing at the beer bottle. "Beer. Want some?" Grimmjow asked. "Mhmm!" "Are you serious?" Nnoitra asked. "Course not. Dumbass. Oichi would kill me." Kendric tilts his head. "This is adult juice. Only adults can drink it okay." Kendric hums and nods. "Okay." Ulquiorra sat at the table and watched Kendric. "Has there been any word on Tesra?" He asked. Nnoitra groans. "No." Grimmjow sighs. "Oh…Dante has him." They both turned to him. "What!? No! I want him. Tell him to give him to me so I can right my wrongs. I should have just crushed his skull when I discovered what he was doing in my house!" Nnoitra yells. "You think I can contact him whenever I want? He just shows up and then leaves. Nothing we can do about it now. What I really want to know is why that fucker just left my kids in the park." Ulquiorra leans on his elbow slightly. "A bigger question…do you not find it strange that your new friend and his toy, found them right after?"
Grimmjow leans his back on the counter. "I did think about that, and while I do feel like the guy has an utter motive, he doesn't look like the type to involve kids. The other one though…I get that Sayzel vibe from him. It makes my skin crawl." "Mmm…I spotted him in town before we gave up the search for Tesra. I tried to look into him, but his records are sealed." "Sealed by who?" "I do not know. I am still working on it." They heard the doorbell ring. Grimmjow rubs the space between his eyes. "I can ask around to see who this guy really is. If he had anything to do with the girls being taken, then I'll end him myself."
Upfront, Orihime, Ichigo, Kazui, and Maki were there along with Tatsuki and Noah. They filed in. Following them, moments later was a tired-looking Florina with Hisagi, Izzy, and Yoshiro.
Oichi frowned as Hisagi helped Florina to the couch. "Flo, you should be resting not moving around. You are heavily pregnant and really close to your due date. You could pop my nephew right on out at any time." Izzy sighs. "I told her that." Florina laughs a bit. "I have been cooped up inside the house for a month. If I was going to stay inside anyway I might as well, do it around my big sis's home right?" Oichi groans and then smiles. "You are so stubborn. Just take it easy okay." "Don't worry, I'll take good care of her." Hisagi says rubbing Florina's belly. She giggled and placed a hand over his.
The day moved on and the cookout started. Renji, Rukia, Ichika, and Reiki came along with Chad, Bella, Eli, Ikkaku, Yumichika, Emma, Mizuho, and everyone else.
Out in the backyard, Grimmjow had set up two kitty pools. One for the toddlers and one for the older kids. The toddlers were standing with their mothers as the water-filled in it. When it was done, Oichi picked up Alisha and Grimmjow grabbed Naomi. "This is their first time in a pool. Mama hurry and get a picture!" Oichi says smiling brightly. Danni, who was wearing a sexy dark purple two-piece had her camera ready. "I'm waiting on you peanut!" Oichi smiled as she and Grimmjow lowered the twins into the pool. Their feet touch the water. Naomi blinks and kicks her feet a few times making a splash. Her eyes were wide, and she screamed as she kicked more. Alisha giggled as Oichi sat her all the way in it. "Yay! They love it!" Danni says snapping pictures. Ulquiorra and Nnoitra walked over with Nova and Sophie. Nova's eyes looked like she was ready. Ulquiorra dipped her feet into the pool, and she instantly loved it. Slipping away from him she started splashing wildly. Jess laughed as she snapped pictures. Sophie on the other hand was a bit nervous and clung to Ulquiorra. "Daddy…" She whimpered. "It's just water. It's not going to hurt see." Nnoitra took some water and poured it on her leg. She shivered. "No!" She shook her head, turning away from the pool.
Naomi tilts her head to the side. Slipping away from Grimmjow she waddled her way over to Sophie and before anyone could stop her, she started splashing Sophie with water laughing loudly. Sophie screamed out. "Naomi!" Oichi gasped out. Grimmjow had to bite his lip to stop laughing. Nnoitra picked up Sophie from the surprising water attack. Naomi pointed at him and laughed more. "Jeez, I see you got a mean streak. Must be from your dumbass dad." "Hey! Who you calling a dumbass!" Grimmjow says with a frown.
Sophie sniffs with tears in her eyes until she looked down at Naomi who was still laughing. She started splashing Nova who happily splashed back. Sophie puffed her cheeks out. "Down! DOWN!" She yelled in his ear. "OW! Okay! Okay…sheesh…" Nnoitra put her back on the ground and watch her run to the pool. She closed her eyes and started splashing water everywhere hitting everyone. Oichi lifted Alisha out of the pool, avoiding the water but Naomi and Nova got hit.
When Sophie calmed down, Naomi and Nova had a shocked look on their face before they started giggling. "Pway!" Nova says waddling over to Sophie. She grabbed her hand, trying to pull her in. "Nova don't pull on her." Ulquiorra says removing her hand from Sophie. Naomi sat in the water. "Pway! Pway!" She splashed more water. Oichi sighs. "She is so rowdy." Grimmjow chuckled shaking water out of his hair. After another push, Nnoitra finally got Sophie in the water. Oichi put Alisha back in, and the girls were on their way to splash and play together.
The back door opened, and Kensei walked out with a young woman behind him. She had short green hair and hazel eyes. "Wooow! So many people here!" She said with an excited look on her face. "Don't go off annoying people." Kensei says. "Kensei!" They saw Oichi walk over to them. "I thought you weren't coming?" "I wasn't…but this nut wouldn't shut up about wanting to come. You haven't formally met but this is Mashiro. She will be working with me and Hisagi." Oichi smiled. "Nice to meet you. I'm Oichi!" Mashiro blinks and looks at Kensei. "Don't…" He says with a deep sigh. Mashiro smiles looking back at Oichi. "You're the one Kensei is in love with!" She yelled out loudly.
Of course, this caught Grimmjow's ears, and he stormed over to them. "The fuck you just say!" He snaps. Oichi places a hand on his arm. "Honey…we have children here remember. Mind your temper." "How can I do that when this woman is over here talking nonsense!" Kensei groans. "I'm not in love with her! How many times do I have to tell you that!" He says narrowing his eyes at Mashiro. "Whaaaa but you totally have that lost puppy love look on your face when you think about her." Kensei's face turned red. "I do not! Quit yapping your mouth before I send you home!" Mashiro pouts. "I don't want to go home! You promised to take me and now you are being mean! I'm only speaking the truth you big dummy head!" "I said SHUT UP! Damn you are freaking annoying!" Kensei yelled. Mashiro dropped to the ground and started to frail her hands, throwing a tantrum. "You stupid! Dumb! Evil!"
Kensei shook in anger. Grimmjow backed a confused Oichi up. "What the hell is her problem…" He mumbled. "I…I don't know." Oichi says wrapping an arm around his. "S-Should we help?" "I wouldn't even know how to begin." "Okay! Okay! You can stay! Just…stop being embarrassing!" Kensei says with a redden face. Everyone was staring at them including the kids. Mashiro instantly stops and jumps back up. "Yay! Now, where is the food! I am starving!" She ran off to the grill. "She is…um…pretty active?" Oichi says with a nervous grin. She didn't know how to describe Mashiro without being rude.
"I apologize about her…" Kensei says with an exhausted look on his face. Grimmjow raises his eyebrow and scratches his head. "Hate to admit it, but I feel for ya. It must not be easy with someone like that on your team. Kensei shook his head. "Every day it's something different. I don't even know why she came back. She's like a child stuck in an adult body." He rubbed the back of his head as everyone goes back to enjoying the party. "L-Listen…" He starts. "I'm not going to lie and say I don't feel an attraction towards Oichi but I'm not that type of guy. Or at least I am trying not to be like that. I'm not going to insert myself in between you two. Like I have said before, my place with Oichi will always be professional nothing more. Nothing less." Oichi looked up at Grimmjow who had his eyes narrowed. He let out a low grunt. "Good of you to know your place. Oichi is my woman and that's how it is going to stay. I'm the one who is going to marry her and make her have more kids." Oichi smacked his chest. "No need to get detailed! I'm sure he got it." Kensei chuckled slightly. It did hurt a little but hopefully, that pain will fly on by. 'Well…if I can't have Oichi…I guess this will be the next best thing.' "KEEE!" They heard a loud voice say. Kensei smirked slightly. "KEEEE!" Eyes turned to Hisagi who was helping Cyrus walk around.
Cyrus's eyes were lit up as he started at Kensei. "Ke? What the hell?" Grimmjow asked looking at Oichi. She rubbed her cheek. "Ah…well, he did get to be a little attached to Kensei." Cyrus held up a foot and tried walking towards him but with Hisagi holding his hands he couldn't move forward. Realizing this he started to tear. "Kee!" Hisagi gave them a look, wondering what to do. Grimmjow scratched his head in frustration. "You bastard…you can't have Oichi, so you pick the next best thing? I swear you and Ulquiorra are alike in that headspace." 'Ulquiorra?' Oichi asked herself. She glanced over to the pool to see Ulquiorra watching the girls. Kensei shrugs his shoulders. "You mind if I go play with him? He is already getting upset." "No, I don't want you anywhere near my…" "Go ahead." Oichi says. "Thanks." Kensei says walking over to Cyrus. "Oichi…" Grimmjow growls out darkly. She jumped a bit but then frowned. "It's okay. It's not like Kensei is going to hurt him."
Grimmjow looked over her to see Kensei tossing Cyrus up in the air. He had a large grin on his face. Signing in defeat he turned his head. "Fine whatever." She slumps back over to the pool with the girls. Oichi put her hands behind her back. "So jealous. It's adorable."
Bella, Ichika, and Emma were splashing each other pool. They were wearing matching orange bathing suits while Ichika had on a one-piece with unicorns on them. Ichigo had set up a slip and slide and was hosing it down. Grayson, Eli, Noah, Kendric, and Kazui were waiting to go. "Alright boys, run and slide," Ichigo says. "YEAHH!" Grayson yelled pushing past the boys. He jumped onto the slide and slid down. "Weeeee!" He yelled. The boys followed suit.
By the grill, Chad had taken over for Grimmjow and was grilling. There were Hot dogs, burgers, steak, and ribs. The table was set up with other side dishes. Near the pool, Nel, Momo, Rangiku, Rukia, Izzy, Tatsuki, Mizuho, and Kiyone was relaxing and enjoying their time in the pool while the guys, Ikkaku, Renji, Kira, and Yoshiro were slamming each other into the water. Kira had been dragged into it since Hisagi was with Florina. They were closer to the house and food watching the babies.
The back door slid open, and Nia walked out in a cute black and white bathing suit. Behind her were Kim, Ty, and Byakuya. Kim and Ty ran off to join the others on the slip and slide. Nia and Byakuya walked over to where Danni and Shunsui were. Danni giggled looking at the pictures of the twins she took. "Hey, sis!" Nia says. "Hey! Glad you could make it! I'm surprised you were able to bring Byakuya though." Danni says looking up. "Hmpf…I can manage well at parties." He says with a sound of annoyance in his voice. Nia giggled, wrapping her arm around his. "Sure, you can." Danni says.
As the backyard filled up with friends and family, everyone celebrated the twin's return home safely, and Grimmjow's recovery.
By Florina, she was eating a burger while Hisagi fixed her something to drink. Reiki and Maki were in an outdoor playpen napping away even with the loud noises going on. There was an umbrella and a portable fan to keep them cool in the heat. Florina licks some mustard off her finger when she noticed Mashiro sitting down beside her. "Hey! You must be Flo." "Uh…yes?" "I'm Mashiro. Hisagi's boss you know. Don't worry, I keep his eyes focused only on you. Unlike Kensei, he isn't out there trying to go after another woman. So don't worry!" Florina smiles nervously. "T-T-Thank you? I never really had any doubt that Hisagi would be looking at someone else." "Really!? Did you know he liked your sister?" "My…sister?" "Oh yeah, I heard from someone else that he was head over heels in love with her but after she friend-zoned him, they think they went for the next best thing and that was you. You know…" Mashiro rambled on, not noticing the shock and upset look Florina had on her face. Tears swell up in her eyes.
Jess who was stuffing her face noticed this. She frowned getting up. "Hey!" She yelled. "What the hell do you think you're doing to Flo!" She snapped at Mashiro who jumped at her loud voice. "What? I'm not doing anything! I was just talking to her. Right? I was just…" She gasps when she saw tears running down Florina's cheek. "Why are you crying!?" Hisagi ran over. "Flo?" He went by her side. "Hey, what's wrong? Is it the baby? Are you in pain?" He rubbed her cheeks, catching the tears.
Oichi rushed over while Nia, kept Danni over by her. They didn't need her attacking a party guest. "What happened?" "This girl made her cry and she got five seconds to tell me what she said to hurt Flo's feelings or else." She gripped her fist, making it crack. "W-Whoa! I didn't say anything!" Kensei walked over holding Cyrus. "All I said was that Hisagi was in love with you at one point and when he couldn't have you, he settled for her. How does that make someone cry?" Oichi's eyes widen, and Jess looked ready to backhand her. Hisagi frowned and took Florina's hand. "Flo, it isn't like that. I'm not with you because I settled. I'm with you because I love you." "R-Really…I…I'm not as good as Oichi…" This pulled at Oichi's heart. "Kensei, please get your friend away from my sister…" Kensei sighs and grabs Mashiro. "Hey! What did I do!?" She yelled being pulled away.
Oichi sits beside Florina and takes her other hand. "Don't say such silly things. I've known Hisagi for quite some time and I know that he wouldn't commit to just any woman." Hisagi rubbed the back of his head. "I mean…I only slept around when it rained…I never had any desire to really settle down until now." He smiled and kissed the back of her hand. "I only want you, Flo. You and our son." Jess handed Oichi a napkin and she used that to clear Florina's face of tears. "Don't let that chick tell you otherwise okay." Florina nods. "I'm sorry…" "Nothing to apologize for sis. It happens. Trust me…" She glances over at Grimmjow. "It happens a lot but, with Hisagi by your side, it won't be as effective." She gets up. "Now, why don't you go back to eating. I bet you want another burger?" Florina nods. "Yes, please." "I'll get it." Hisagi says getting up. He rushed over to Chad. The women giggled at him. "He is such a sweetheart. You bagged you such an awesome hubby!" Florina smiled brightly.
A few hours passed and the party was still going strong. Music was being played with a large speaker and Oichi's phone. It was set to Spotify. A separate space was made for the dance floor. The cha-cha slide was playing and most of the girls were the ones dancing. The kids were in the middle doing their own thing. The guys were enjoying their own guy time drinking beers and challenging each other to water fights and a game of chicken.
Izzy, Yoshiro, Ben, and Riruka were standing away from everyone talking in their own bubble. Yuzu, Jinta, Karin, and Moe joined them. Ben was a bit upset. Amanda had brought Yukio as a guest, and they seem close but after hearing about when happened between him and Izzy he didn't want him anywhere near Amanda. "I can threaten him just a little bit." He mumbles. "Don't. Everyone is having a good time and if Oichi and Grimmjow are fine with it then we shouldn't worry about it." Riruka says. "It's only because they don't know." Karin says sipping on her juice. "All we have to do is slip up and tell Grimmjow and he can handle it." Yuzu frowned. "No way. I'm with Riruka. Everyone is having such a great time. Let's not be party poopers, instead, let's take about the date you and Moe went on?" She says with a bright smile. Karin and Moe blushed as their eyes turned to them. "I-It wasn't a date." Karin says clearing her throat. "R-Right. It was just a nice uh hang out…thing…stuff…you know. Friendly things…" "Does your brother know about your…friendly hangout?" Ben asked with a chuckle. "No. It's not something you need to bother him about and don't change the subject!" Izzy rubbed her chin. "You and Moe do make a nice couple though." That made the two blushes even more. "Would you shut up!" Karin says. The group started to laugh.
Ben then sighs and looked at Danni who was drinking with her sister. Alongside them were Yoruichi and Kisuke who had shown up an hour ago. He then smirks. 'Danni is very protective over her grandkids. Amanda and Shelia were adopted by Oichi like Kenny so she would view them as her own…hmmm…' "I'll be right back." "Where are you going?" Izzy asked raising her eyebrow. "To talk to Ms. Danni. Nothing too bad but while I'm going, how about you all figure out while that pretty boy is talking to that tall chick over there, alone." The girl's eyes turned to the corner of the house to see Yumichika and Isane talking very closely. "Oooo could they be dating?" Yuzu asked. "She is tall…" Riruka says in owe.
Ben walked over to Danni who guzzled her liquor down. "Haaa so good! Hisagi knows how to make such powerful drinks! I should recruit him to come work in my bar!" Yoruichi was trying to pick on Byakuya while Kisuke sipped on his drink. "I can't believe you finally got a woman on your own! I'm so proud of you! You old stick in the mud you!" She laughed loudly and smacks him on the back. Byakuya stayed silent as he slipped on his drink, trying to pretend she wasn't there. Nia chuckled at them as she leans on him a bit. She felt a hand run up her thigh. She bit her lip slightly trying to control her body heat. Shunsui chuckled as he handed Danni his drink. His goal was to get her drunk. When she was drunk, during sex, her true feelings always came out and he loved ravishing her while making her say those things. Though he would never tell her that.
"Excuse me, Ms. Danni?" Danni turns around to see Ben. Her face was a bit flushed. "Ben? What's up?" "I just need a moment of your time. For just a bit." "Sure thing. I was getting a bit ahead of myself anyways." She got up with Shunsui eyed her up and down. Ben and Danni walked away from the table a bit. "So, what's up?" Danni says. "Listen, I don't want to ruin the party, but I thought maybe I should tell you." "Okay…tell me what?" "The guy that Amanda brought. I am worried that he may hurt her." Danni crossed her arms. "As an older brother, that is something you will always worry about. I don't see why you have to tell me this." "You see…that boy is also the one who made Izzy cry." Danni's eyes flickered. "Excuse me? You mean the person who dared to say that vile woman's name in front of her is that boy?" Ben nods. "I thought if I told Oichi or Grimmjow they might cause a scene…I just don't want him to hurt my sister…with our family name and all…" Danni cracked her knuckles. "I see Amanda as my dear granddaughter and while that old bastard is taking a dirt nap, I'll see to it that she, Shelia, and Kenny are well taken care of." Her eyes darken. "That snot-nosed brat…I will make sure he doesn't try to take advantage of her. Izzy's mother's name was classified information and if he got that, then that means he might have stuff on your father and piece of shit mother that could hurt her. Don't worry I'll take care of it. Without Oichi and Grimmjow's knowledge." Ben smiles. "Thank you so much."
Danni spins on her heels, hiding her murderess intent. She hummed slightly as she walked past the table and headed over to where Amanda was live streaming with Florina, Hisagi, Kensei, and the babies. Amanda smiled as she zoomed in on Cyrus, who was drinking a juice cup while sitting on Kensei's lap. "And this here is the newest addition to the family! Little Cy! Say hi little Cy!" "Hi!" Cyrus says gripping his hands. Amanda giggled. "Well, that is all for now. Tune in to another episode of life in the world of Amanda!" She wiggles her fingers and laughs. "That sounds stupid, I still haven't found the right now but please, like share and subscribe to my page. Give me some new ideas on what I should name my show! Bye!" She shut down her live stream. She turned to Cyrus and pokes his belly making him smile. "You look so cute!" "Amanda dear?" Amanda looked up to see Danni. "Hi, Ms. Danni!" "Your friend? May I have a word with him?" She looked at Yukio who had been stuffing his face full of chicken. "Uh sure." Amanda says with a worried look on her face.
"Thank you, dear." She walked past her and snatched the plate out of Yukio's hands. He frowned and swallowed the rest of his food. "Hey, I was eating that." Danni kept her smile, placed a hand on his shoulder, and gripped it ever so slightly. "I suggest you shut up and take a walk with me. There is something I would like to discuss with you." Yukio gulps, getting a bad feeling. "Sure…" Danni grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the entire group and around the house. "Can I ask what this is about?" Yukio asked. Danni pins him up again the wall and cups his cheeks.
"Listen well brat, my name is Danni Tanaka, the step-mother of Izzy. The same girl you made cry a few months ago when you mention a particular name." Yukio tensed up and his eyes grew wide in fear. "Luckily, you are dealing with me and not her father. I don't know how you got the information on that woman but best believe you will tell me everything you did. How you hacked sealed information and if I deem it to be plausible I won't hall your ass to prison for breaking federal law." Yukio broke out into a sweat. "When I get the information, I have you will swear to me right now, that you will never do this to Amanda. If you have any feelings for her, you will not unlock sealed information on her or her family, if I find out that you have, then I will break all of your lovely fingers, slice them off, and feed them to you one by one. You got that?" Yukio nods slowly, growing pale at just the visual. "Good. Now talk and make it quick. I want to go back to my man and drink." Danni says with a cold smile.
Around 10:45 the party soon came to an end. Everyone was taking their leave while Oichi was cleaning up everything. After interrogating Yukio, Danni did what she said and drank as much as possible. Shunsui was carrying her in his arms as she laughed drunkenly to herself. Nia snapped a picture of her. Byakuya shook his head. "I understand this was a celebration but did she really have to drink herself under the table? How is she going to run a bar if she can't hold her liquor?" Yoruichi laughed. "Don't worry about her. She can hold her liquor just fine. She just wanted to cut loose around her man. Plus, do you think she wasn't worried when the kids were taken?" She placed her hands on her hips. "She was frustrated that she could do anything but comfort Oichi. I think she deserves a break from holding up as long as she did. After all, she could have flipped this city upside if she wanted to." Kisuke chuckled. "Too bad, she won't remember you saying anything of that. You both get home safely." Shunsui nods. "You as well." He watched them leave. Grimmjow walked over holding a sleeping, Cyrus. "Good, you haven't left yet." Shunsui smiles. "We were heading out now." "Spend the night." Grimmjow says with a flat expression on his face. Shunsui kept his smile. "Thanks, but I think it's best if we return home. As a man, you can…understand right?" "I do, by the time you arrive home she will be sobering up. Take the guest room upstairs. The room is soundproof…" Shunsui hums out and then chuckles. "I see. Thank you for your generosity." He walked by Grimmjow. "No problem. I know what it's like to desire kids." Shunsui chuckled and walked upstairs.
Oichi walked in with a slight pout. "What are you planning." "Huh?" She walked to him with her hands on her hips. "You wouldn't suggest they stay if you weren't planning something." "What? Can't I be nice to my future in-laws?" Oichi narrowed her eyes. "You being nice to anyone other than me and the kids is strange. You better not be scheming something. Like blackmail." Grimmjow rolled his eyes. "Oh please, what could I possibly want from those two. Your dad is enough." Oichi hums. "I don't believe you." "Whatever. Take your son. I'm going to finish cleaning." He puts Cyrus in her arms and headed outside. He could feel her eyes shooting a glare. He chuckled, licking his top lip. 'I may have a motive, but she doesn't need to know that.'
Ikkaku and Mizuho arrived home with Emma. She was frowning. "I wanna stay with Bella!" She yelled stomping in the house. Mizuho frowned. "I told you no Emma. You can spend the night another time." "Why mama! You don't like Bella!?" Emma says with a gasp. "I do like Bella, but everyone has had a long day, and everyone is tired. We really shouldn't overstay our welcome." "But mama!" "I said no, Emma. That's the end. Now go get ready for bed." Emma grunts and stomps her feet to her room. Mizuho rubs her head. "She's only 6 and she is giving me back talk." Ikkaku places a hand on her shoulders. "Why don't you go take a bath and lay down. I'll get her ready for bed." Mizuho nods and kisses his cheek. She rubs his head with a giggle and heads to their room.
Ikkaku went to Emma's room. The door was wide open, and Emma was sitting on her bed. "Emma…" Emma looked at him tearing. "Why can't I stay with Bella?" "Your mother already told you why. You can go play with her tomorrow." Emma gave him a puppy eye look. "Daddy…" Ikkaku rubbed his head. "Okay, spill. What is really wrong? You can talk to me, okay?" He closed the door behind him and sat on her bed next to her. "Whatever you tell me can stay between me and you. Like always." Emma rubs her eyes. "…I'm sad…" "Why are you sad?" "…Everyone got brothers and sisters. I don't have anyone to play with…" She tears up more. "I want a sister too." Ikkaku sighs. "So, your lonely?" Emma sniffs. "Emma, I know you want another sibling but right now your mother and I are just too busy with work to worry about another kid. Maybe in a few years, we can give you another sibling." Emma starts to cry, making him panic. "H-How about this weekend, if you are a good girl, we can invite Bella over for a sleepover." Emma rubs her eyes and looks at him with excitement. "Really daddy? Bella can stay!" "This weekend, if it's okay with Chad." "Can we call!? Please, daddy! Please!" Ikkaku always had a hard time saying no to Emma. "Sure…" He pulled out his phone and dials Chad's number. "Can I do it!?" Emma says reaching for the phone?" Ikkaku put it on speaker and handed it to her. Chad answered on the third ring. "Hello?" "Mr. Chad! Hi!" Emma says. "Hello, Emma. What can I do for you?" "A sleepover with Bella!" Emma says smiling brightly. "A sleepover?" "Hey Chad, it's me. We were wondering if Bella can come over this weekend." "Ah, I see. Hold on." They waited for a moment. "Emma!" They heard Bella yell. "I wanna come!" Emma squealed. "Yay!" Ikkaku sighs. "Thanks, Chad. Sorry for bothering you so late." "Not an issue, I'll drop Bella off around 6 on Friday. Sounds good?" "That's fine. Good night." "Night." Ikkaku hung up. "There. Feel better?" Emma nods with a giggle. "Good now, get ready for bed." Emma jumps off the bed and runs to the bathroom. Ikkaku leans back on the bed. "Raising a daughter is hard…"
On the 10th of July, Florina was at the hospital, lying in bed. She had gone into labor not too long ago. Outside the room, Hisagi was on the phone calling everyone. Florina giggled rubbing her belly. "I'm so excited. It's time. It's time!" She smiled brightly and then gasp. A jolt of pain rushed through her. "I see you are excited to…" Hisagi walked back in. "How are you feeling Flo?" "In pain…It's starting to hurt." Uryu and Nemu walked in with another nurse. "I heard that. Looks like it's just about time." Hisagi took her hand as Uryu put on his gloves. Florina groans. Hisagi gave her a worried look and squeezed her hand.
At Jess's, she was doing a little housework, even though Ulquiorra told her to rest. She was wearing a material dark purple shirt with black leggings. He was in the kitchen doing some work while Nova was in the living room watching a Disney princesses movie. Her toys were spread out everywhere. Jess signs as she walked over to her. "Nova, you have to put your toys away when you are done with them okay." Nova turned around, pouted, and pointed to the TV. Jess narrowed her eyes as she watched Nova goes back to watching TV. "Is she giving me attitude? At one year old?" She sighs and shakes her head. She was about to start attempting to pick up the toys when she tripped over Nova's doll playset. She let out a slight scream and fell to the floor. Nova jumps and her eyes widen. "Mama!" She gets up and runs to her. Ulquiorra, hearing her scream rushes into the room. Jess groans holding her stomach. A puddle of water started to form under her. "I…think my water broke!" Jess says. She shakes, feeling pain. "It hurts…"
Ulquiorra frowns and saw the toy she tripped over. His eyes turned to Nova who gasped and backed up. "Nova…" Ulquiorra's eyes turned cold as he remembers the day Jess almost died from childbirth. Nova tears up and shakes from his cold look. "D-Daddy…" Jess grabs his arm, tearing his attention away from her. "Stop!" She yelled. Ulquiorra's eyes widen for a second and went back to normal. "Don't look at her that way. I don't want her to fear you. N-Now, take me to the hospital." Ulquiorra sighs and picks her up. "R-River," Jess called out. River appeared in front of the tv. "I will watch her." Jess nods as Ulquiorra rushes to the door. He grabbed his keys. "Mama! MAMA!" Nova yelled as she tried to run to the door. Ulquiorra didn't stop as he managed to open the door and close it behind him.
Nova's eyes grew wide, and she fell back on the floor. "Mama…daddy…" Tears leaked out of her eyes as she started crying. River sighs. 'That man…how could he look at her so coldly like that…' She walked over to Nova and gets to her knees. "There, there. It's okay little princess. Your mama will be okay." She picked Nova up and tried to rock her. Just then she heard a ringing sound. It was Jess's phone. River walked over to the kitchen and grabbed it off the counter. It was Oichi calling. "Hello." She answered. "Hello? Uh…who is this? You sound familiar…" River chuckled. "Have you forgotten me already, I'm a little hurt." "Hmm…oh! River! Hey!" River smiled. "Hello, Oichi." "Sorry about that, are you around Jess? I wanted to see if she wanted to come with me to the hospital for Flo. Wait, do I hear crying?" River frowns as Nova cried more. "What happened? Where is Jess?" "Calm down. Lady Jess is okay. She tripped over one of Nova's toys and went into labor early. Ulquiorra took her to the hospital." "They left Nova!" Oichi yells slightly. "They didn't have a choice. I am here watching her but, I think she got scared by Ulquiorra. That man looked so coldly at her when he checked on Jess. If he wasn't married to her, I would have gutted him, and…" "Okay, okay, I don't need those details. Jeez, you must have been hanging around Terry too long." River couldn't help but giggle. "Can you get Jess's to-go bag ready? I'll stop by and get it with Nova." "Sure thing." River said before hanging up.
Back at the hospital, Danni, Nia, and Izzy walked in together. Danni and Nia had been over to Izzy's apartment to help her clean up the laundry soap that had overflowed in the washer. Nia was giggling as they went to the waiting room. "So, explain how this happened again?" Izzy groans and sits on the chair. "Yoshiro was doing a load of clothes as I asked him to do. I don't know what he did but after he left for work, I heard a slurpy noise coming from the laundry room. I go to check and there was water and soap all over the floor and coming out of the washing machine! I tried to turn it off but I…" She rubbed her cheek with her finger. "I ended up breaking the knob off and…you know. It didn't stop." Danni sighs. "What am I going to do with you two." Izzy pouted. "It wasn't my fault!" Nia giggled more until her phone rang. She answered it and smiled. "Hi, honey!" Danni faked gagged at her cheeriness. Nia nudged her. "Oh? Aw! I'm glad they liked it! Izzy? Well…" She glanced over to Izzy who crossed her arms. "It looks like she will need a new washer, but we had to come to the hospital, Flo is in labor, and I didn't want to miss her having her first child." She hums out. "I don't mind! Thank you so much for watching them." She suddenly blushed. "O-Of course, I don't mind it one bit. Bye." She hangs up and sighs.
Danni leans over to her. "That sounded like a fun conversation?" Nia smiles. "Byakuya took the kids to go horseback riding at his manor." Danni glared. "What!?" Nia holds her hands up. "It's fine sis. The maids and butlers there aren't mean to them. He fired his older staff and hired new ones." Danni narrowed her eyes. "Mhmm…because if I hear another word about anyone disrespecting my niece and nephew or my little sister, I'll blow that entire landscape into smithereens." Nia shakes her head. "Anyways, he said he could watch them longer and then wanted to know if we could stay with him in the manor tonight…" Izzy tilts her head. "You haven't been there before?" "I have but only on dates sometimes and he actually spends more time at my place than anything. He already keeps a few of his clothes in the room." Danni laughs. "Wow, so he just made himself home. Then again, I can't blame him. Manors are overrated anyways. I'd like a big house but, if it's just me in there things can get boring and lonely." Nia nods. "Yeah, I think that's why he doesn't mind staying with me more."
"Why don't you just move in with him?" Izzy asked. Danni rolls her eyes. "Why don't you move into Yoshiro's manor?" Izzy frowns. "No way, I don't want to seem like I'm mooching off of him…" She gasps. "Oh…sorry auntie." Nia shook her head. "Nothing to apologize about dear."
They heard footsteps coming. Renji and Rukia walked in with Ichika and Reiki. Renji stopped and grew nervous spotting both Danni and Izzy. Rukia smiles. "H-Hello…" Izzy turned her head from them. Nia sighs. "Hi there. Come sit. We haven't heard any news yet." They nodded and sat across from them. Ichika skipped over to Danni. "Ichika honey wait." Rukia said. Ichika grabbed Danni's leg. "Lady Gran! Gray coming?" Danni chuckled. "No sweetie. He is with his father today." Ichika frowned and then looked back up. "Auntie coming!?" "She should be on the way here." "Yay!" She skipped around in a circle before running to the play area. "So cute." Nia says with a laugh. Soon Momo and Kira walked in. Momo looked a little green in the face, but she played it off as a head cold.
At Jess's, Oichi pulled up in the driveway and parked. She got out wearing a light blue t-shirt a frizzy lace skirt and black flats. At the time of the call, she and Grimmjow were playing with the kids outside in the new playground he had been building near the pool.
Oichi rings the doorbell. River opens the door. Nova's cheeks were puffy from crying and she was sniffing as she rubbed her eyes. "Aw…" She reached out and took Nova from River. "It's okay honey. Don't be upset." River held up the go-bag. "Thanks, River." River nods and puts her hands behind her back. Oichi turned to leave but she followed. "O-Oichi?" "Hm?" Oichi turns around. "I-I don't know if Jess has told you or not but…I just want you to know that m-me and Terry are dating now." She watched Oichi's eyes widen a bit and then she laughed. "Really now. Congratulations!" River smiled. "You approve?" "Why wouldn't I? If you love Terry and he loves you, I wouldn't stop that. Plus, he needs a strong girlfriend like you to keep him in check. You know how he gets…then again…you may spoil him too much." River giggled. "Thank you…I know he and Dante have a contract, but I was hoping…" She placed a hand on her belly. "I was hoping that Terry and I could settle down one day and have kids on our own?" Oichi blinks and then sighs. "I see. Look, I don't know much about what my dad does or what his contracts sigh off on. Grimmjow has one as well, but I don't know what is on it." River frowned. "Oh…" "But…I can see what I can do. Terry has been with my dad for a long time. I'm sure he can bend the rules a little." River smiled brightly and, in a flash, she was in front of Oichi hugging her. "Thank you!" Oichi chuckled. "You don't have to thank me. Just be happy with Ter." River nods and lets her go. She bowed slightly and skipped back into the house with a hum. Oichi went to the car and put Nova in the car seat. She placed the go-bag beside her. Closing the back door, she got into her front seat and pulled off, heading to the hospital.
In the hospital room, Florina's face was flushed as she pushed and pushed. She squeezed Hisagi's hand. "Come on babe. You got this." Hisagi says feeling a little faint. This was much more intense than he thought it would be. Uryu noticed this. "Nemu bring Danni in here." She nodded and rushed out the door.
Making it to the waiting room, she spotted Danni. "Danni? We need you." Danni frowned and stood up. "Is Flo, okay?" "Yes, but it's not her we are worried about. Hisagi looks as he is about to faint." Renji snickered. "I know the feeling…I told him he needed to be better prepared. Danni sighs. "That boy. Take me to the room." Nemu nodded and led her out.
Moments after they left, Oichi walked in holding Nova. "Hey, sis! Why do you have Nova?" Izzy asked. "Jess went into labor early. She is being seen by another doctor." Nova rubbed her eyes still tearing. "Aw, is she scared?" Nia asked as Oichi sat beside them. "Yes and no. Jess tripped over one of her toys and Ulquiorra scared her. You know. He has been worried about Jess throughout the pregnancy." "I swoey…" Nova says. Oichi grabbed a tissue and cleaned her face. "You don't have to be sorry honey. It's not your fault. Your mom is going to be okay." "Speaking of which. Do you know what Jess is having?" Momo asked. "No, they wanted it to be a surprise." Oichi says shrugging. "You okay Momo? You don't look so good." Momo laughed. "I might have caught a little bug, but I didn't want to miss this you know. It's Hisagi's first kid after all. I never thought a day like this would come."
As the hours passed, Nova was napping on Oichi, and Momo had gone to the bathroom three different times. It was a bit worrisome to the group. Finally, Danni came in with a light blue bundle. "He is here!" She says smiling brightly. Oichi and Izzy smiled. "Yay! Our nephew!" They said together. They got up and crowded around her. "Before they both passed out, they named him Darrius." "Both?" Oichi asked. "Yeah, Hisagi fainted just seconds after he was born. It was quite a funny sight." Oichi shook her head and looked down at Darrius. He had Florina's brown skin with Hisagi's black hair. He was awake and looking around at them. His eyes were pink like Florina's. "Aw! He is adorable! Look at those eyes! Looks like Flo's side is going to be dominant." Renji and the others got a chance to see him, and Momo held him. "Momo and Kira, Florina wanted you two to be the Godparents." Momo smiled hard. "Oh my gosh! Yes! I would love to be the God mom!" Kira smiled. "I didn't think she would consider me…"
Uryu walked in. "Danni, I need Darrius." "Sure thing." Danni says. "Oh, Uryu, have you heard anything on Jess?" "Jess? Is she here?" "She went into early labor." "She did!? I wish someone would have told me. I'll go check and let you know. Also, Flo and Hisagi are both okay, Nemu and the other nurses are taking them to their room. You can see them shortly." He says taking Darrius with him.
Keeping his word, Uryu returned an hour later. Everyone but Oichi and Nova had left. "Oichi. Come with me." Oichi nods and picked up Jess's bag. She followed him to the private rooms. "I had her move in here." "Is she okay?" "Yes, she gave birth to a healthy girl. No issues." Oichi smiled in relief. "That's good." Uryu came to a door and opened it. Oichi walked in to see Jess sitting up holding a pink bundle. "She came earlier than expected but she is healthy and is in good shape. She doesn't need to be incubated." Uryu says pushing his glasses up. Ulquiorra was sitting down watching Jess. "Jess! Congratulations." Oichi walks to the side of the bed. "Mama…" Nova says sniffing.
Jess chuckled. "Want to hold her? We named her Aerith." Oichi giggled and put Nova on the bed. She took the pink bundle to see her. "Oh wow, another mini you…but I can see more of Ulquiorra's features in her." Aerith had the same burgundy hair with emerald color eyes. Jess picked up Nova. "Hi, sweetie. I'm sorry if mommy scared you." Nova tears up. "I swoey mommy." "It's okay." Jess says hugging her. She then looked at Ulquiorra who averted his eyes away. She turned Nova to him. "Don't you have something to say to our daughter dear?" Nova looked at him a bit scared. Ulquiorra sighs softly and turned to her. She flinched, thinking he was going to give her a scary look but when she noticed it was his normal softer look, she tears up more and starts to cry. "Daddy!" She pulls away from Jess. "Daddy!" She yells again holding her arms up to him. He reached out and picked her up. She cried and cried into his chest. "Wow, you really scared her…" Oichi says. Ulquiorra rubbed her back. "…I am sorry…I didn't mean to give you a scary look…"
"What are we going to do with you." Oichi says chuckling. "How is Flo?" Jess asked. "She is fine. Hisagi fainted but they had an adorable little boy named Darrius." Jess laughed. "He fainted. I knew it." "By the way, when were you going to tell me River and Terry were dating?" Oichi says with a frown. Jess chuckled nervously. "I forgot. My bad. There was a lot going on you know." Aerith started to get fussy. "Sounds like someone is hungry." She handed her back to Jess. "I brought your to-go bag. I had River pack it." "Thanks, Oichi. I send you pictures of her later." Oichi nods and waves goodbye.
Days went by and it was Oichi's birthday on the 22nd on a Sunday. She wasn't doing much since the school would be opening next month on the 23rd. She was currently sitting in a brand-new building that was made for the school board. Byakuya was with her, and they were going over the paperwork with a few other workers that he had hired. Rose was also there as he oversaw making sure the uniforms for the school were mailed out. During the last month of June, paperwork to sign children up for school was mailed throughout the entire city. There was also a small digital test for the children to spilt them into the correct grading. Some would be skipping grades others would be held back one year if they need to be. All the school staff was hired, the classes were posted, the equipment for inside the school such as gym equipment, computers, desks and chest, different boards like chalkboards, markers, even digital boards, cooking equipment for both the cafeteria and home economics classes, gardening tools, painters' tools, and even more. With the help of Byakuya, they had managed to stay right below the intended budget.
Oichi sighs her name at the bottom of a paper. It was her new official signature that she had been working on. "There, that is the last one." She placed the paper in a folder and set it on a stack. "I'm glad we got a head start on this. It would have been a disaster if we were so far behind." Byakuya nods and sighs the last of his paper. "We also got the children's classes sorted out. Mayuri has gone through them all and with the extra eyes of Kisuke and Jushiro, they placed every student in their rightful grades. As well, he had created a PDA for the older students and college students." Oichi nods. "That's good. I know he had been working on a lot of stuff lately but, he still doesn't like me. He doesn't share any information with me, so I have to rely on you and Jushiro to fill me in." "That man…he can be spiteful at the wrong times. Blaming you for your father's deeds gets us nowhere." Oichi chuckles. "Yes, but I have grown used to that type of attitude. As long as he keeps up the good work, I do not mind his tactics. Moreso I am surprised by how many people wanted to teach. Mostly from Hueco Mundo…" "Yes, I had background checks run on everyone. Thoroughly. We should try to avoid having any negative reviews about the new school. It could impact us greatly." Oichi nods in agreement. "That is fine, I want the number one priority to be the safety of the students." She checked her watch. "It's almost time to go. I say we do one last check and run through everything." "Of course." Byakuya says grabbing a folder.
Momo was sitting in her bathroom looking nervous. She had been feeling bad for the last few days and Toshiro sent her home when she almost passed out at work this morning. With nothing to do at home, she figured she would take a pregnancy test, and now she was waiting for the results. "It's just a bug, I'm sure. I've been working way too long, and it's been ages since I took a vacation. Yup, overwork and overstressed. This is what that is." She took a deep breath and grabbed the test. "Let's see that I'm…" She looked at the test and saw that it read a positive reading. Her eyes grew wide, and she sat there for minutes. It was like the information was trying to process it, but her brain wasn't allowing her to fully take hold of it. Her phone rings and without thought, she picked it up. "Momo? Hey, it's Toshiro. I was just checking on you. How are you holding up?" "…." "Momo? Are you okay?" "…." "Momo! Answer me! What's wrong? I can hear you breathing. Are you upset because I sent you home? It was the only choice since you looked tired. Come on speak to me." "…I'm pregnant…" She finally squeaked out. There was silence over the phone. "What?" Tears rolled down her cheeks as she finally registered what was going on. "I'm pregnant!" She screams. "We are having a baby!" She heard Toshiro stuttering over the phone trying to get a word out. "S-Set up an appointment with Uryu or Unohana. We need to make sure. Text me the time and I'll be there ASAP." "Okay! Calling now!" Momo says. She hung up the phone and looked back at the test. "I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant!" She giggled and jumped up and down.
Toshiro was staring down at his phone in shock. It wasn't the news he was expecting but he could feel the happiness bubbling inside him. He got up to collect his work when Rangiku busted through the door. "S-Sir!" She yelled. "Rangiku, I'm in a hurry. I don't have time to hear you complain about work." "No this is an emergency! A body has been found, washed up on the beach!" Toshiro frowned. "Okay, send out a squad to check it out and have the body sent to the coroner." Rangiku walked in more. "Sir…the body has already been identified…it's Aizen." Toshiro's eyes grew large. "Are you serious?" She nods. "Go spread the word, I'm heading there right now." Rangiku nods and runs off. Toshiro grips his fist. "Can it really be Aizen? No…it couldn't be this easy…could it?" He grabbed his keys and jacket and rushed off.
He made it to the beach within 15 minutes. The section where the body was found had been closed off with yellow tape. A white cloth was covering the body and officers were posted around to avoid anyone taking pictures or getting too close. Toshiro walked up to them, and they lifted the yellow tape for him. Unohana was already there with the coroner. She had been informed the moment they identified the body to have an immediate second opinion. She looked up to Toshiro. "Well?" She nods. "I would like to bring the body back to do a full autopsy. The body has been in the sea for almost three months. It's a miracle that it was found alive fully attached. I do see chunks for flesh bite and ripped off, mainly the face, so it will be hard to tell." Toshiro crossed his arms. "Even the sea creatures don't want to eat on such filth I see. Have the body transported to the station. You can do the work there." Unohana gets up as the other corners start to move the body. "If this is really Aizen…, what do you think happen to him?" "I do not know, we have no word on Tosen either, maybe they had a falling out and Tosen got the better of him. Or maybe he messed with the wrong person, and they decided to dish out their own punishment." Toshiro rubbed his chin. "Do you think it was Dante? It was one of his ways to dispose of bodies back in the day, from what I read in a file." Unohana laughs. "No, he wouldn't have left such a mess. That is why this is baffling. Aizen is a careful planner. He is very sharp and has always been 10 steps of everyone including his own men." "I see…so I guess, someone must have gotten lucky and rushed the death? Maybe. It could explain why this is so…unorthodox. It could still be something to throw us off." "True but before we do any more thinking I would like to examine the body fully. I will report my findings to you when I am done." She walked off. Toshiro put his hands in his pockets. 'What a way to start this day…'
Grimmjow was at work, sitting in his office on the phone. He was writing some things down. "Thank you for getting back to me. Really? How long will that be? In September? No, no that is great. Oh? That works just fine. No, I'll tell her. I'm sure she is going to call you the first chance she gets." He chuckled. "No, you are a lifesaver. Yes, I will call again if anything changes. Goodbye." He says behind the line hung up. He wrote something down on a notepad and closed it right when the door opened. Ulquiorra walked in with a large pile of paperwork. He dropped them on Grimmjow's desk. "What the hell is this?" "Papers that need your signature. Get them done or else. I refuse to be behind schedule due to your personal life." Grimmjow narrowed his eyes and groaned as he grabbed the first paper and started sighing. "I'm the damn boss here, you should be doing this type of shit." "I did not agree to baby a grown man. Finish quickly." Ulquiorra says watching him closely.
In the woman's correction center, Tory was sitting in her cell with a sigh. None of her children had come to see her since she had been here. 'Those ungrateful brats. They should be grateful to the woman who gave them life. How dare they not come and see me. No, I blame that woman. She stuck her nose in my business and stole everything away from me! I swear I will pay her back ten folds.'
"Hey, Tory, on your feet." A guard said. Tory got up and walked to her cell. "Hands out." Tory did what she was told and watched her put chains on her wrist. "What is going on?" "You have a visitor." She waved at the camera to open the cell. "A visitor for me? Who is it?" The guard didn't answer and pulled her out of the cell. She pushed her forward a bit roughly. Getting to the call center Tory was escorted to the last set. A smile appeared on her face as she saw Ben sitting there with his arms crossed. She sat down and picked up the phone. He did the same. "Well look at you my oldest son. Have you finally come to your senses and…" "Shut up." He says making her frown. "You lost the right to call me your son years ago. I only came to tell you something and make sure you understand. None of us…see you as our mother. Oichi told me that you sent Amanda a letter on her birthday." Tory chuckled. "I did. She should be grateful that I offered her advice." "She didn't read it. It was torn up and thrown away like you."
Tory glared at him. "What? Why?" "Why do you think!? Why would we let you ruin her day? You never cared until now. She is an adult now and she wants nothing to do with you. She has finally become the opposite of what you claim she will be." "I did what was best for her! I told her the truth and when I did instead of picking herself up, she ran away! You all did!" "For good reasons! You were a horrible mother and a terrible person! You only cared for yourself, not once have I ever heard you say you loved us or our father." "I did love your father! Sure, we had different thoughts, but I loved him!" She shook her head. "No, enough of that. I don't want to argue." Ben raised his eyebrow. "You may not believe me, but I am changing for the better. I am taking classes they have set up here and I'm realizing my mistakes. Once I get out of here, we can all go back home and live together as we should have." Ben leans back in the chair. "I sold the house and land." Tory's mouth dropped open. "What did you say?" "I sold everything, the house, the deed, the land, everything. There is nothing left for you and according to the will all the money will go to Kenny." Tory grew angry. "YOU DAMNED BRAT HOW DARE YOU!" She stood up knocking the chair over.
Two guards rushed over and tried to grab her. She struggled. "How dare you sell what is mine! That house belongs to me! The money, the rights everything! Why should that BRAT get everything I worked hard to get!" She grits her teeth. "I should have just killed you when I had the chance! Your nothing but a good-for-nothing child who can't do anything on your own! Life would be better if you were NEVER born! I hate you! I hate you and your stupid brothers and sisters! Your dead to me!" She screamed. She threw the phone at the protective screen and started screaming and cussing more. Through the screen, Ben could hear her cussing his existence and swearing to get even. She started to fight the guards and they had no choice but to throw her to the ground and pin her down. Even so, in frantic and anger at knowing that she truly had nothing, Tory broke down in tears and started fighting back even more. An extra guard came in to control the situation.
Ben hung up the phone and got up. Tory glared at him through her teary eyes as they dragged her back to her cell. Putting his hands in his pockets, Ben left.
Walking outside, he saw Riruka leaning against the car waiting for him. She turns to him. "How did it go?" He stopped in front of her. "Ben?" She gasps as tears ran down his cheek. "I knew she didn't care for us. I know I did but…to hear her say it and confirm it…" She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a hug. She ran her fingers through his hair. "Oh, Ben…" She says softly. She could feel him shaking. "It's okay. You don't have to bear this pain alone. I'm here okay. It's okay to cry." She frowned at the correction center. 'What a horrible woman…she doesn't deserve your love, Ben.' "Come on let's go home. Leave this place behind and never come back. There is nothing for you here anymore." Ben lifted his head and cleared the tears. He cups her cheeks. "I love you." Her eyes widen and her heart skipped a beat. He kissed her passionately. She closes her eyes and leans into the kiss. They break apart. "Stay with me? Forever?" Riruka sighs. "I don't think anyone else could handle your baggage. So, I guess I have no choice but to stay with you…b-but not because you asked. Stupid." Ben chuckled and kissed her again.
In a new apartment complex area, called Whitney's moons, Amanda was sitting in her new apartment. The complex was built behind the newer houses next to the school. It was a new rental development featuring 42 units of luxury living. A person could choose between two residential apartment buildings, the modern and the Cottage, plus nearly 4000 square feet of private, residents-only amenity space located on the property.
The apartments themselves had a Relaxed style as a way of life. Amanda's apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A large living room that was connected to a kitchen. She was on the 3rd floor and had a balcony. She had a large screen TV on the wall and was looking at ways to change her hair color. She wanted something different. At one point she didn't want to attend college but after talking to a guidance teacher she learned that taking a few tec classes would help her streaming career. There was a knock at her door. Getting up she skips to the door and opened it. She smiled to see Izzy and Yoshiro. "Hello!" She lets them in. "Wow! This is pretty cool. Maybe we should move over here." Yoshiro says walking into the living room. "We are fine right where we are. How are you doing Amanda?" Amanda shrugs. "The same, I guess. I thought living on my own would be scary but it's not as bad as I thought. I do miss the babies and Shelia though. The house was so loud but fun." "I agree with that." They settled into the living room.
"How is your sister and her baby?" "She is fine. She hates being apart from him and cries when he does, so that's a fun challenge for Hisagi." Izzy says laughing. "What about you and Yukio? I heard he started to distance himself from you ever since the cookout." Amanda chuckle. "Yeah. He told me he talked to Ms. Danni about some laws he broke. He didn't want to drag me into it, so he wanted to take care of everything before we start dating." Izzy blinks and rubs her ears. "Wait…what? Excuse me?" Amanda smiles more. "I was the one to suggest we date! I like him." "How? Why?" Yoshiro asked equally confused. "He is really fun to be around, to be honest. Once you get to know him. He has a way with tech so he helps me with my streaming channels and even though I'm not into a lot of video games, he found some fun ones we can play together! Not to mention he takes me on dates! We had a double date with Karin and Moe last night!" "WHAT!? Why didn't I hear about this!?" "Karin wanted to keep it a secret. She and Moe looked really cozy too. It was cute." "Oh my god…I don't know if I should be happy or upset that we are getting left out of this." Izzy says with a pout. Amanda giggled. "Do you both want to stay over for dinner? I'm making some chicken stew with Ms. Oichi's recipe." "Sure! That way you can fill us in on everything we are missing." Izzy says.
Moe was at the pet shop, cleaning when Jackie walked out. She frowned and smacked the back of his head. "Ow! What the hell!" He yelled. "How long do you plan on working here? Get out and get an actual job!" She snapped. "What!? Where did this come from!?" "It's coming from me having to see your face every day. Don't you have a girlfriend now? Should you want to buy her cute things!?" Moe blushed. "She isn't my girlfriend! She is just a girl who happens to be my friend and we enjoy hanging out." "That's what all you men say." "Look I don't plan to be here forever. I signed up for college classes and I've been saving up for a better apartment…" "Oh. I am surprised." Jackie crossed her arms. "Sorry. I was actually planning to sell this shop." "Why?" "It's not making any money anymore. There is another pet shop that is way better and it is getting all the customers. I was asked to buy out and I did. I got a teaching job at that new school. I figure I can do a bit better in this community and I wanted you to do better too."
Jackie leans on the counter. "I heard Yukio is trying to fix his issues." Moe nods. "Yeah, he found someone he liked. All she did was yell at him and poof. Love." Jackie laughed so hard until her sides were hurting. "Seriously? I swear that kid. I yell at him a lot and he didn't change at all." "W-Well I don't think you're his type. Amanda is a lot closer his age and young so…" That comment got him a slap to the face. "So, what…he can't handle a mature woman like me?" She says growling out. "I…never said that…" Moe says holding his burning cheek. The puppies beside him whimpered like they felt his pain. "Anyways, you need to find another job okay. If you want you can go work at the superhero shop in the mall, the coffee bar, or a bookkeeper. I heard we were getting a new one." Moe sighs. "I guess so…" Jackie walked over to him and pats his head. "You're a good kid Moe. I don't want you to waste your life in this place. Whatever you're doing in school, get it done. Find your motivation and hurry up and make that girl your girlfriend before someone else steal her." She laughed at his blushing face.
In the coroner's office, Unohana was removing her gloves and had samples set to the side. "Get those to Mayuri quickly." Her assistant nodded, seal the samples within a bag, and rushed off with them. As she left Shunsui, Jushiro, and Yamamoto walked in. "Hello." Unohana says. "Well? How was it? Is it really Aizen?" Jushiro asked. "I sent samples to the lab to get everything tested. I should have them back within 24 hours." "In your professional opinion?" Unohana sighs. "I believe this is Aizen." "Hmm…how did he die?" "He was stabbed in the heart, and I also found poison in his system. There were no defensive wounds. The water did damage to the body as well as whatever bit into him." She sighs softly. "I won't know more until the samples are returned."
Shunsui crossed his arms. "So, he was poison? What a way to go." Jushiro looked at Yamamoto. "What do you think Master?" "Hmm…It could be a plot to throw us off. It is not the first time he faked his death. The last time he did, we had his body, but it turned out to be just a rouse and even now we were unsure how he did it. Now, here we stand with another body." "True, however, we have more evidence with it. Poison, stabbing…eaten by creatures. You can't fake that." Shunsui says. "I want every test possible done. No matter how inhumane it is. I want a clear conclusion that this is Aizen. Until then, the case still remains open however, send word to Kensei that we will report the body to be Aizen's. We will see what will happen after that." They nodded at him. "Keep this behind closed doors." He says leaving.
Nia was lying in bed with the blanket over her sore body. She and the kids stayed over with Byakuya on the weekends now. Kim and Ty were a little weirded out with having maids and butlers and even though they could ask for anything, they were still respectful at times. They were currently in the kitchen waiting on lunch from the cook. Nia smiled. It was peaceful here and her time with Byakuya increased more and more. She couldn't ask for more.
The door to the room opened and Byakuya walked in with a tray with tea on it. Nia sat up, wrapping her body up in the blanket. "Sorry, I haven't even gotten up yet. "It is fine. I think I pushed you too far last night." "Oh no, you didn't. It was wonderful." She blushed. "You hold me so tenderly even if you get a little rough. I'm not complaining." "I see." He puts the tray down. "Then may I ask for one more round?" Nia's face turned redder as she nods. "Of course, honey. Y-You don't have to ask me every time." He removes his shirt. "I do. I don't want to make you uncomfortable. You need your rest as well. Though you can stay here as long as you please. My home is yours now too." He removed his pants and boxers. Nia's heart races seeing him already half hard. He climbs into bed cups her face and pulls her into a kiss.
Downstairs, the door is opened by a butler. Rukia and Renji walked in carrying Reiki. Ichika was at daycare. They could smell food being made. "Your brother is having company?" Rukia shrugs. They walked to the kitchen and saw Kim and Ty stuffing their face with food. The cook was smiling at them. As the family cook, he never had a chance to really cook large meals. Byakuya had a standard palette for food, so the food had to be a certain way but cooking for kids was much more fun. "Oh, Ms. Rukia. I didn't know you were coming to visit today. Your brother is bringing tea to Madam Nia." "Madam…" Renji whispered. "I see. Thank you. Do you mind if I leave Reiki here for a bit?" "Of course." Renji and Rukia headed to Byakuya's room. "I need to get something from my room right quick. I'll meet you in a second." Rukia says. Renji nods and watched her sprint off to her old room.
He walks upstairs and was walking towards Byakuya's room when he heard noises. He stopped and listened closely. It sounded like mumbles. 'I wonder what that sound is.' He got to the door and placed his ear to the door but due to the thickness of the door, it was still hard to hear what was really going on through the door. Byakuya liked his privacy after all. "What are you doing?" Rukia asked, almost making Renji scream out. "Shh…I think your brother is having a conversation with Nia." "Really? Did you knock?" "No, not yet." Rukia pushed him out the way and knocked. "Brother? We need to speak with you." The mumbles inside kept going. Renji and Rukia looked at each other. "You think they are arguing?" "I hope not. He looks so happy now, with Nia and all. Despite her whole family hates you." Rukia says grabbing the nob. Renji pouts at this.
Rukia opened the door just a bit and her eyes widen gasping softly. Renji peaked as well as his face turned red. The mumbles they were hearing were moans from Nia and slight squeaking coming from the bed. Now that the door was opened, they could clearly hear her. She was bouncing on Byakuya's lap with a flustered face. He was holding her hips, meeting her hips with a red face as well. He leans up, licks her neck, and cups the back of her neck. "Nia…" He groans out. He leans up and flips her on his back. Pinning one of her legs down he thrusts deeply into her. "A-AH! T-There! Right there!" Nia moans out. Their sweaty bodies rubbed closely against each other, turning their body heat up another temperature. "So…intense…Byakuya. Byakuya!" Nia moans out his name in pleasure. The rhythmic sound of skin on skin slapping against each other was finally enough for Rukia to close the door gently, returning the loud moans of lovemaking back into mumbling.
They both stood at the door, flustered at what they saw. Renji cleared his throat slightly. "A-At least they weren't arguing…" Rukia sighs rubbing her face. "Shut up…"
An hour passed in the manor, Byakuya looking refreshed walked down the stairs with the tray of untouched tea. He was wearing a light blue button shirt and black jeans. His hair was down as well. "Mr. Kuchiki! Is mom up yet?" Kim asked running around the corner. "No. She is still sleeping. She had a very tiring night." Ty pops up from behind Kim. "Does that mean we get to stay here longer?" "Yes, I can't leave you alone in your house." They grin at him. "Yes!" They said cheering. "Can we go play in the toy room?" "You may." They giggled and ran off down the hall. "H-Hey no running!" A maid says rushing after them. A soft smile appeared on his lips, and he walked into the kitchen.
The cook was still cleaning when Byakuya walked in. "Oh, Sir. Your sister and her husband are waiting for you in your office." "When did they arrive?" "About an hour ago. I told them you were with Madam Nia, and they decided to wait for you there." "…Mhmm…I shall see them now." He places the tea on the table and walked away. The cook sighs. 'I couldn't tell him I was the one who sent them up there in the first place while he is spending time with Nia.' He rubbed his cheek. 'Goodness me though…the poor dear hasn't even come down once today. He really must have tired her out. I should make her an energizing meal.'
Byakuya opened the door to his office and saw Renji and Rukia sitting. They were playing with Reiki. "Rukia. Renji." They both jumped. "B-Brother. Hi." "Hello, sir." Renji says. Byakuya studied their expression before going to sit at his desk. "Why are you both here?" "We needed to talk to you about something." "Such as?" "We were wondering if it would be okay if we could move back into the manor until we get our new place ready." "I was unaware you were getting a new home." He says. "Yes, well a week ago, a pipe busted under the house, and we had to call to get it repaired. Then three days after that, the water heater busted so we had to get that fix. We just think it is time to move. We also wanted to be close to the school if possible." "I see…" Byakuya sat in silence. He was going to ask Nia and the kids to move in with him, but given Renji's history with the family, he didn't want to pressure her into it. While he didn't want to send Nia and the kids home, he didn't want to create an awkward environment.
He closed his eyes. There was the option that Nia would say no. That had a higher chance of her saying yes but he would have pushed the issue further and would have suggested that he moved in with her instead and if that didn't work, he would push the issue to just buy them a house where they could live together in. "Brother?" He opened his eyes. Rukia gave him a worried look. "If it is too much to ask, that is okay. We can stay in a hotel until the house is ready." Byakuya let out a soft sigh. "No, you can move back in here until the house is ready. I will have your rooms prepared." Rukia smiled. "Thank you, brother."
There was a knock at the door. "Come in." He said. The door was pushed open, and Ty walked in. "Mr. Kuchiki! Oh…you have guest…" He looked at Renji and frowned. "Never mind then…" "Did you need something?" "Well…we wanted to know if you wanted to go on a walk with us. Through the pretty garden? But if you're busy…" Byakuya got up. "No, that's fine. Did you and your sister want to talk more about the flowers?" Ty nods and pushed the door wider to show Kim. She was holding a notebook in her hand. She blushed and put it behind her back. "T-The flowers here are pretty and…you know a lot about them…mom said we should always ask if she isn't around…" "Very well. Go get your shoes." Ty's and Kim's faces lit up. "Yay!" They ran past the maid that was trying to keep up with them. "No running!" She yelled rushing after them in haste.
Rukia and Renji were watching in awe. She looks up to her brother and her heartthrob to see him smiling as the kids ran off. Byakuya turns to them, returning to his regular expression. "If there is nothing else, you can see your way out." He left the office, closing the door behind him. "Did…Did you see that?" She asked. "See what? The way the kid glared at me, or the fact he is willing to do what they asked…" "That…and the fact that he smiled." Renji turned his head quickly to her. "What!?" Rukia tears up. "My brother was smiling. He looked so happy and handsome. He truly must be in love. I'm so happy. S-So happy I could sing the praises to his elegant name." 'I don't think it's that serious…' Renji says to himself. He then sighs. "Well, he is happy. I can at least agree with that."
Ty and Kim were giggling together as they put on their shoes. "What are you two giggling about…" They turned to see a tired Nia reaching the bottom of the stairs. Her hair was a mess and she yawned, and she was wearing a lace robe with roses on it. "Bed head!" Kim yelled and pointed at Nia. Nia giggled. "Nia." She saw Byakuya walking by. "What are you doing up?" "I just came to check on the kids. Sorry, I got a little scared that they might be bothering you too much." Ty and Kim pouted. "No, they are fine. We are heading to the flower garden. You should get more rest." Nia smiles sweetly at him. "Are you sure?" He grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it. "I'm sure. Like I said, my home is yours. You can stay as long as you want." "Like forever?" Kim asked. Nia's eyes widen only a little and then laughs a bit. "That would be lovely huh. Maybe we should stay forever haha. Just kidding."
"…you could…" She blinks and rubs her eyes. "Huh?" He squeezed her hand. "You can stay here forever. With me. If you wanted." Ty jumped up. "Oh! OH! Can we mom!? This place is amazing!" Kim jumped up and down. "We can stay forever! How exciting! Can we get our own rooms! I know which one I want!" "It better not be the one by the window to the backyard. I picked that one." "What no! I saw it first!" "Liar. I saw it first. I was the one who showed it to you!" "Kids. No arguing." Nia says with a sigh. She held her head. "We can talk later, go back to bed." Byakuya said. Nia nods and kisses his cheek. She leans up to his ear. "Would it be wrong to say that I've been considering a move-in for a while now…?" She whispers. She gave a smile and a giggle at his shocked expression before she heads up back starts. 'She's been thinking about it as well…' He felt a tug on his arm. "Are we still going?" Kim asked. Byakuya nods. "Yes, let's go." Kim and Ty smiled and followed him to the flower garden.
Nia made her way back to the room and sits on the bed. She grabbed her phone and called Danni. She waited until she finally answered. "Hello…" "Danni? My, you sound tired." "You sound tired too. Looks like both of our men have too much energy today." Nia smiles and lays on the bed. "Byakuya wants me to move in." "Really? Did you say no?" "The kids were here, and they got all excited. He wanted to talk about it later when he finished playing with them. I told him I have been considering moving in. I just didn't know how to bring it up." Danni groans. "I think you're moving too fast." "You thought that about Terrance too." "Yeah, and you got pregnant and ran away." "You think I'm going to run away with Byakuya." "It's possible." Nia laughed. "You're an idiot." "tell me this. How to feel about him Nia. Like really feel about him."
Nia lays in the bed. "…he makes me happy sis. It's been a while since I felt this way. After Terrance died, I was just going with the motion. Felt numb and sad all the time. I think I can make it work…no…I know I can make it work with Byakuya. He is great with the kids; he showers me with care and affection. Before he does anything he always makes sure it's okay with him and he is so easy to talk to when my big sister hurts my feelings." "Wha…when did I hurt your feelings!?" "That is beside the point." Nia blushes and felt her heart flutter. "Just thinking about him gets my heart beating fast and honestly while the sex is damn near God-like, I could still live without it." "Ew, just hearing that makes my ears burn." Nia pouted. "The POINT is. I love him, Danni. I feel like a giddy teen who just discovered love, actual love for the first time and I missed this feeling. I had it with Terrance, and I've never felt it with anyone else until now." Danni sighs. "Okay, I get it. As long as he treats you right, you should do what makes you and the kids happy. Don't forget the kids." Nia chuckled. "The kids are attached to him. Trust me." "Mhmm…listen call me later and tell me how it goes. My hips are sore as hell." "Okay, later sis." She ends the call and sits the phone back down. Right as she goes to take her robe off to get back in bed, the door slams open.
She jumped and screamed out from the sudden slam. Falling back on the bed she saw Rukia and Renji standing there. "W…What are you doing!?" Nia yelled out, clinging her robe. "Sorry! We didn't mean to scare you." Rukia says in a panic. "I…I was just so overjoyed to hear that you loved my brother." Nia frowned. "Were you spying on me or something!?" "We didn't mean to! We were coming to talk to you about my brother and you were on the phone. When you said you loved him, I was just so happy." Rukia tears. "Please look after my brother! He means the world to me and the family. I'm so happy that he met you." Nia was still confused at what was going on. That was until he heard Ty screaming. "MOM!?"
Renji saw Ty run right at him. "What are you doing to my mom!" He head-butted Renji right in his knee. "OW!" Renji fell to the floor. Rukia blinks while holding the car seat with Reiki in it. Kim came running up the stairs too. "Don't hurt my mom!" She screamed jumping on Renji's chest. "Get off me! No one is hurting anyone!" Rukia moved out of the way just in time for a butler and Byakuya came running up the stairs. He had a look of panic and concern on his face as he ignored the kids beating up on Renji and went into the room. "Nia? Are you unharmed?" He went to her and took a knee in front of her. "The maid said she heard you scream." "Y-es…I'm okay." "What happened?" "I was on the phone with my sister. After I ended the call, the door slammed open. I just got startled. I'm sorry to make you worry." Byakuya sighs and stood up. He kissed her forehead. "You do not have to apologize."
He turned to the door where the maid was pulling Ty and Kim off Renji. "I'll beat you up!" Ty yelled glaring at Renji. Kim was in tears holding his band that kept his hair tied up. "Stay away from my mom!" Renji got up and fixed his clothes that were being pulled on. "Damn kids…I didn't do anything!" "Liar! We know how you hurt cousin Oichi! Just because my mama is pretty doesn't mean you can have her!" Ty yelled. "Yeah! She's with Mr. Kuchiki! We want him not you!" Kim yelled after him. "Go back with your flat chest lady!" Ty yelled again getting madder. "F-Flat chested!?" Rukia said in shock. "Yeah! Only Mr. Kuchiki can be mama's husband! Not you!"
"Enough." Byakuya said, walking out the room. "Stop yelling when there is no need to yell. Your mother is fine." The maids let the kids go and they ran into the room. "Mom!" Nia's face was brighter than then an apple, hearing the kids yell what they said. 'How embarrassing.' They jumped on her, hugging her tight. "You okay mom?" Ty asked. "I-I'm fine dear. I'm okay. Dying of embarrassment but in other words, I'm fine." "Your DYING!" Kim yelled in panic. "No! No, sweetie. A figure of speech. I promise I am okay." She hugged them both. "I am okay. I promised."
Renji brushed himself off. "Jeez…rude kids…" "What did you do." Byakuya says with an icy look on his face. Renji jumped and looked for Rukia to help. She turned her head. "We were looking for you and telling you that we support you and Ms. Nia's relationship…I…might have…gotten a bit excited when I overheard how she felt about you and without thinking I slammed the door open scaring her. I'm very sorry." "Overheard how she felt about me…" He glanced back into the room and saw Nia rubbing Ty and Kim's back. "I see…you may leave but do this again and you will be punished." Renji and Rukia nodded and took their leave quickly. "Stay here." He told the maid. She bows and leaves.
He walked back into the room and close the door behind him. "Nia…" "Y-Yes?" "The children…their reaction was…explosive. Even for this little mix-up…" Nia frowned. "Kids? Can you go play for a bit? Later we all can go to the garden for a picnic?" They nodded and went to Byakuya. Kim hugged him before they left with the maid. When they were alone, he went to sit beside her. "What happened?" Nia bit her lip. "T-To tell you that I will have to tell you about when Terrance died…" "Okay…" "I was hoping I wouldn't have to, but I knew this day was coming. I wish I had better prepare myself for it…" "Nia." Byakuya says in a stern voice.
"Well…after Terrance died, I was in a bad place." She put her hands together. "He was my light, my first love. He got me through so much stuff and loved me even after all the mistakes I made. Losing him, I thought there was nothing else for me to do. I didn't care about anymore, not myself or my kids…It got too bad that I…I thought about just killing myself and the kids. I tried with my oldest and it didn't end well." "You tried to kill your first child?" "I did. He reminded me the most of Terrance but after that, he left and stayed with Danni's husband's family, and we haven't spoken since. You would think that would shed light on me, but it didn't. Instead, I threw myself at whatever men I could find." She rubbed her arm. "I bagged the wrong one…he got too rough and hurt me…bad…I was scared. So, scared."
Her hands started to tremble. "I called out for Terrance but realizing he was gone just made it worse. Knowing I was going to die and leave my babies behind was just the worst. At that moment I could see my children's faces popping into my mind and that's when it finally clicked on how stupid I was…I started to scream and kick and fought until the door opened. Ty and Kim… were so young at the time but even so they saw me getting attacked. They saw how badly beaten up I was because of a strange man. Without any concern for their own lives, they did whatever they could to help me. Luckily, my other daughter, Kayla was smart enough to call the police before she tried to help." Tears swelled up in her eyes and started to fall on her shaking hands. "I put my family in danger because I was so selfish. My vision was so clouded by Terrance's death that I was willing to sacrifice my life and my family. There I was on the floor crying, holding them with every fiber of my being I realized…they had no clue what I wanted to do to them. How much I wanted to leave them and because of that horrible mistake, I ended up traumatizing Ty and Kim. They had nightmares of me being attacked over and over to where that got so protective of me on an unhealthy level. To where the scene you just saw happens. Can you believe that? As the parent shouldn't that be me? I am such a horrible person you know…"
Byakuya frowned. "Why didn't you tell me this?" More tears ran down her cheeks. "Because I was scared that you would hate me. Learning someone you think is so innocent and sweet was willing to kill her children and allowed them to get traumatized would disgust anyone… I didn't want to risk losing you. I haven't felt like this before I meet you." She placed her hands on her cheeks as she started to cry. "Other than Terrance I have never felt such love for a disgusting person like me. It was just me making another selfish decision, but I don't want to let you go. I want to keep what we have but…if this is too much baggage then I will leave. It will hurt but you don't deserve a person who lies to you about something this big." She gets up. "I'll grab the kids and leave you be. I hope you find someone more deserving of your love."
Right as she tries to rush to the door Byakuya grabbed her wrist. "Why are you trying to push me away. Didn't you just say you to keep what we have?" Nia sniffed. "But…" "Do not try to make my decisions for me." He pulled her back. "Before we go any further. Truly. How do you feel about me? Do you just see me as another random man? A replacement for your late husband?" Nia looked shocked. "No! Never! You are different from any random man! I never saw you as a replacement for Terrance. Never!" "I have." Nia paused. "What?" "…At first, I only saw you as a replacement for Hisana. You reminded me so much of her that I wanted you for only that reason. Your smiles, the calmest around you. I saw so much of her in you." "Is…that why you wanted to make it official so fast?" Nia asked, trembling. "Yes and no. When I realized what I was doing I wanted to see what else I could love about you that didn't remind me of Hisana and I found it. Hisana was never as clumsy as you nor were, she as outspoken as you. She wasn't much of a cook due to the illness, and she never spoke to me about how the people here really treated her. Like an outsider. She held it in for my sake and I didn't like that. Seeing these different sides of you that I couldn't experience with Hisana…I feel in love with you Nia." Her heart thumps. "You…love me?"
He squeezed her hand. "Do you understand why I am telling you this?" Nia shook her head. "Because we are human, and we all make mistakes. There were many times in the past that I blamed Rukia because Hisana went through her own personal hell to bring her here, but I always tried to make her feel what Hisana wanted her to feel. Even now, I regret being so cold to her when she first came here."
He rubbed the back of her hand. "I understand the pain you went through losing your husband. I know how those thoughts run through your mind. I am glad that you didn't cross that line with your son." He brought her closer to him. "I don't see you as disgusting and I never will. No matter what you say will change my mind." He cups her cheeks. "Now, tell me. After hearing me say all of this…do your feelings change at all about me?" Nia placed a hand over his. "No…" "How do you feel about me now?" "…I love you." He pulled their bodies close and pulled her into a deep, passionate kiss.
When he let go, he rubbed the tears out of her eyes. "From now on, tell me everything. You do not have to hide your past from me." Nia nods. "Okay…t-thank you." He pulled her into a hug and rubbed the back of her head. "Now, let's get you cleaned up. We still have to take the kids to the garden with a picnic." Nia nods and nuzzles her face in his chest. "I love you so much Byakuya." "I love you as well Nia."
Later, in the evening, Oichi was pulling up in the driveway after a long day at the school board and her fashion store. She yawns and grabs her bag and a box of folders she still needed to finish. She unlocked the door and walked in. "I'm home!" She called out closing the door behind her. She kicked her shoes off at the door and placed her things down beside the desk. "In the kitchen babe!" Grimmjow called out. Oichi followed his voice to the kitchen. She smelled something good. "Mmm. I smell something yummy!" She enters the kitchen only to be surprised by poppers from Kendric, Grayson, and Shelia. "SURPRISE!" They screamed. Grimmjow chuckled as he held the twins up who screamed. "W-What is this?" Oichi asked. "Surprise birthday dinner!" Shelia says. Oichi looked at all the seafood that was on the dinner counter. "Woooow! That looks so yummy!" Grayson waved his hand. "I helped! I helped!" "Aw, you did! Thank you!" Kendric pouted. "I helped to…" Oichi giggled. "Birthday hugs!" Both boys ran to her. She hugged them and kissed them on the cheek. She put them down and hugged Shelia, kissing her cheek. "Thank you too!" Shelia smiled. "Mama! Tisk tisk!" Naomi yelled. "I'm coming. You get kisses too." She walked around the counter and took the twins, kissing their cheeks. "Where is Cy?" "Sleeping." Grimmjow says pointing to the playpen he put in the kitchen. "Such a sleepy head. Let's eat!" Oichi says with a giggle.
Sitting around the table, Grimmjow already had pre-made food made for the kids so they wouldn't have to crack anything open. "How did you steal Gray away from Nel?" Oichi asked cracking open a crab leg. "I didn't, as usual, she just dropped him off and left." Oichi took a small piece of crab and gave it to Alisha and Naomi. "Mmm!" They hum out. Shelia was eating some muscles but was having a hard time opening them. "Um…Grim?" "I got it." He says opening them for her. "Thank you!" She smiles and goes back to eating. "Oichi?" "Hm?" "About our wedding…" She looked at him. "How about September 16th…of this year?" Oichi smiled brightly. "Yes! Of course! Honestly, any day would make me happy so long as we had a date. Are we still having it there?" Grimmjow nods. "I spoke to your grandmother Lily today. She said she wished we got married today. Apparently, your island turns blue because of all the weird rocks and flowers?" Oichi chuckled. "And it is the day of the mystic moon festival but that would be next year when I turn 30." "Right…so on September 16th is a special day for your island as well. She suggested we have a mountain view wedding." Oichi's eyes grew wide. "A mountain view…that would be so breathtakingly beautiful. September is an unnatural warm day, and the skies are also so clear to where you can see even the highest point of the mountains. Grandma was the only one to ever have a mountain wedding. It was just too special after that. So, no one wanted to do it unless she gave her blessing." "She didn't give anyone her blessing?" "No one ever asked Haha. Aw! This is going to be amazing!" "Can I be in your wedding?" Shelia asked. "Of course, sweetie. You can Ty can be my flower girl and ring holder." "Me with T-Ty?" She blushed looking down. Grimmjow narrowed his eyes. "Ty huh…" Oichi laughed. "Soooo cute! I can't wait to tell the others."
"Mama?" Naomi says patting her hand. "Yes, sweetie?" "H-Hap birday." She says smiling. Oichi felt a piece in her heart. "Happ Birwday." Alisha says patting her other hand. Oichi tears up. "Oh, Grimmjow…they told me happy birthday!" Grimmjow chuckled. "They have been working on it all day." "Oh my gosh…I love all of you. I wish I could snuggle you all forever!" "Me! Me!" Grayson says waving his hand. "I want a snuggle…" Kendric says. "That sounds nice." Shelia said with a giggle. Grimmjow smirked. "You can definitely snuggle me all you want, though that could be dangerous for you." Oichi giggled. "Possibly a new sibling might pop up." "Babies!" Grayson yelled. "A lot of babies." Kendric says eating some shrimp. Grimmjow winks at Oichi making her giggle even more.
Days went on by until it was Grimmjow's birthday on the 31st, he took the day off to stay at home. He was in the living room, braiding Shelia's hair. "You have to do it tighter." Shelia says. "That's what the tutorial says. "Your so damn tender-headed, how am I supposed to do it tighter when you always cry." "That's because you be trying to tear my skull out of my head!" "M-My bad…" "Why do you want to do girl hairstyles now?" "It's for the girls. Oichi made a point the other day. What if she isn't home and the girls need help with their hair. I don't want them to wing it. They need to look perfect when they are walking out this house." Shelia laughed. "Your funny."
"Grimmjow!" Oichi called from upstairs. They looked up to see Oichi rushing over to the staircase. "I have to say…it's cool to have an open middle section in the house." Shelia says. "Yeah, to a degree." Oichi moved the gate from the top of the stairs and closed it behind her. She came down the stairs holding the girls. "I have your gift ready!" Grimmjow glanced at the girls. "You're getting off the implant? Cuz that sounds like a damn good gift." Oichi rolled her eyes. "As much as I want another baby right now, we both agreed to get the kids to at least age 6 before we start again. Anyways, listen." She walked around the couch. Shelia moved out of the way. "Ooo. Nice job with the braids. A little tighter though." Grimmjow shakes his head.
"Take your girls." Oichi demanded. Grimmjow grabbed the kids. "Okay? Now what? You're going to dance for me?" "Later." She smiles excitedly. "Tell them you love them." "Oichi…" "Just do it, honey! You are going to love it!" She takes out her phone to record. Grimmjow sighs fine. He looks at the girls, sitting on his lap. He smiles. "I love you." He tells them. They both smiled at him. "I wuv you!" They said at the same time. Grimmjow's eyes grew wide, and his cheeks turned a shade of pink. Oichi couldn't stop smiling. Shelia giggled. "Aw!" Oichi made sure to zoom in on Grimmjow's face. She was never going to let him live this down. "I-I love you." He said again. "I wuv you!" The twins said. "I love you!" He said louder "I wuv you!" The twins repeated. "I LOVE YOU!" He shouted. "I WUV YOUUUU!" The girls screamed back before laughing and giggling at him. Oichi covered her mouth. 'This is beyond cute. If I die from cuteness overload, I will not regret one single thing.' Grimmjow hugged the girls. "Dammit! Why are you both so cute!" Oichi stopped recording. "Did I not say you will love it?" "You did. I need to trust you more." "How rude. You should always trust me." He kissed her cheek. "I do. Love you, babe." "Love you too honey."
It was now, August 23rd, the first day of the new school year. Ikkaku was yawning as he sat outside. He was waiting on the bus for Emma and Bella. Bella had stayed over so they could ride the bus together. They were both starting 1st grade. Emma was wearing a long-sleeve yellow polka dot shirt and black jeans with black shoes. Her backpack was covered in teddy bear faces. Bella was wearing a light blue dress with floral prints, black stockings, and sandals. Her backpack was dark brown with flowers on it. They both were standing outside excitedly waiting for the bus. The door opened and Mizuho walked out with a cup of coffee. "Here you are darling." "Thanks." He sips on it. "I wish this bus would hurry up." Yumichika walked out behind them. He had also spent the night. "Look how beautiful the girls are. Emma, you are so cute!" Emma giggled and waved at him.
Finally, they heard the bus horn. "Finally…damn bus." Ikkaku stood up and walked over to the girls. Emma bounced up giggling. "Have a good day princess." Emma smiled brightly at him. "I will daddy!" The bus pulled up and the driver waved. "Bye, daddy! Bye, Uncle Yumi!" Emma yelled. She grabbed Bella's hand and they ran to the bus. Mizuho sighs. "No bye to me huh. Must be still mad at me." "Oh? What did you do?" "She wanted to change her hair color, but I told her she was too young for that. So, she called me a meanie face and ran off." "You should let her explore a little. It would be sad if she ended up hating you." Mizuho gave him a cold smile. "When you have children, I would take your advice into consideration…" She turns on her heels and walked off. Yumichika shook his head.
At the Kuchiki manor, Byakuya was wearing his usual work clothes and holding the book bags of Ty and Kim. Ty was wearing a white untucked shirt, royal blue slacks, and black shoes. Kim was wearing a white tucked-in shirt with a royal blue skirt knee-high shoes and black slides. Nia brought out the lunch she made for them. "I have a 7th grader and a 6th grade. I'm so excited!" She handed them their lunch. "Thanks, mom." "Both of you behave, and do not cause any issues on your first day understand?" They nodded and ran over to Byakuya who gave them the bags. "Do you want to ride in the car or limo?" "LIMO!" They yelled in excitement. Nia chuckled. "You are spoiling them, dear." She walked to him and kissed him softly. "I'll be home around 3 today." Nia nods. "Have a good day." A butler opened the door and they walked out. Once they were gone Nia sighs. "Now what to do in here all by myself…" She looked around and spotted the family maid Crissy. "Crissy dear?" "Oh! Madam Nia? What can I do for you?" "I'm afraid I don't know what to do in this big old place, do you mind if I help clean?" "What? No ma'am you have to relax and take a rest. I can draw you a hot bath and cook something yummy for you too much on!"
"It's that a bit lazy though? You are doing most of the work. Surely I can at least draw my own bath?" "Nooo no no! I am the maid; you are the boss. We have gone over this before!" Crissy says flailing her arms. Nia laughed. "Very well. I shall let you do your job." "Great! I'll go run you a bath." She ran upstairs. Nia sighs and shakes her head. "Renji hurry before we are late!" She heard Rukia. She went to sit in the living room right as Ichika zoomed out. "Ichika stop running!" Renji yelled running behind her. There was a crash and a gasp. "I told you to stop running!" Renji yelled. He stormed back with a pouting Ichika being carried by the back of her jacket. "I swear, I am going to be in debt by the time I leave this damn place." Rukia power walked with the car seat. Reiki was starting to fuss. "Do you know where the baby bag is?" "I thought you, had it?" "I wouldn't have asked if I didn't have it, idiot." "I was bust chasing Ichika!" Nia looked by the front door to see the baby bag. "Renji, I don't have time to go back and forth with you. I have to go to work." "So do I but we both know how he is going to get if we don't find his bag." Another maid walked over with a cup of rose tea. She placed it on the table. She smiles at Nia before taking her leave.
Nia grabs the cups and sips it softly as Rukia and Renji got into an argument. Crissy ran back down. "Madam Nia! Your bath is ready!" She stops to see Rukia and Renji arguing. They stopped and noticed Nia who was sipping on tea. "Oh my." Rukia says getting embarrassed. "I'm so sorry." "It's fine. Married couples fight over the silliest things. It just shows how much you both are at ease with each other." She got up with her tea. "Have a good day. By the way, the baby bag is at the front door. Byakuya placed it there this morning so it wouldn't be forgotten. TaTa." She says walking upstairs with Crissy behind. Rukia sighs. "Good grief…she could have told us that while she was just sitting there…" "I shouldn't have to tell you something if your brother does it every morning dear." Nia called out. Rukia jumped and turned red as Renji chuckled at her. "Let's get moving."
Oichi was downstairs making breakfast. Cyrus was up and sitting in a highchair. She heard footsteps rushing down the stairs. "Ms. Oichi!" Oichi turned around to see Shelia twirled around in her new uniform. She was wearing a white shirt with a royal blue skirt that went right to her knees with white stockings and black flat shoes. In her hand was a blue jacket to match her skirt and her bag. "You look so cute!" Oichi says putting the pan of eggs down. She hugged her. "It's your first day in 7th grade. You should be along with Ty. I hope you both have the same classes. Shelia blushed. "D-Don't tease me." Oichi chuckled. "Sit and grab something to eat." Shelia sat at the table. "Did you want to ride the bus, or get dropped off?" Oichi asked. "I want to ride the bus!" Shelia says grabbing a piece of toast.
Grimmjow walked down carrying the twins. Kendric was right behind him. He would be going to preschool along with Grayson. He was wearing a cute blue shirt with dark brown pants. His bookbag had dark blue butterflies all over it. "Aww you're so adorable!" Kendric's cheeks turned red making her giggle. Grimmjow sat the girls in their highchairs. He was getting ready to go to work as well. He was dressed clean today. "Is something going on?" Oichi asks fixing his tie. "I have a meeting with the old man today. He told me to dress nice…ugh." "I wonder what for." She looked at the clock on the wall. "Shelia honey it's almost time for the bus." Shelia nods and gulps down her orange juice. She cleaned her mouth and grabbed her bags. Giggling she ran to the door and opened it. Oichi cleaned her hands and followed her while Grimmjow made something to eat for the kids. "Dada!" Cyrus says holding up a tiny spoon. Grimmjow chuckled. "Good morning to you to squirt."
Oichi stood outside and saw the bus coming their way. Shelia was standing on the sidewalk waiting. "Have a good day sweetie!" Oichi called out. Shelia waved as a light blue and white school bus pulled up. As Sheila went around to get on, Oichi saw the side window open. Emma pops her head out. "AUNTIE GOOD MORNING!" She yelled. Bella opened the window behind her and waved. "Morning auntie!" Oichi smiled and waved. "Behave at school you two!" They waved more as the bus took off to the school.
She walked back into the house and close the door behind her. "Mmm…I know Emma will be starting first grade and even though Bella should be in kindergarten they placed her in first grade as well. I hope they have fun today." Grimmjow was sitting on his coffee as the kids ate. "When does bus come for me?" Kendric asked. "You will be riding the bus home. We will take you in the morning." "Oh…okay. Will Gray be there?" "Yup." "Ohh…." Kendric says with a slight sigh. Grimmjow chuckled at that. "So, do you want to take the twins and Cy to daycare? Or do you want to bring Kenny to school?" "I'll take Ken. Gives me a chance to be late." Oichi shook her head of course it does. Just don't make a scene."
At Jess's, Nova was looking out the window watching bus's go by. "Mama zoom zoom!" "Those are busses sweetie. Soon you are going to be riding those." She says putting Aerith in her car seat. Ulquiorra walked downstairs wearing a dark green suit. Jess blushed at him. "You look very handsome dear." "Thank you. I have a meeting today." "Oh? Okay. I'm going to take the girls to daycare and head on to work." He walked over to her and kissed her softly. "Be careful." Jess nods and smiles. "Me too!" Nova runs over to Ulquiorra and smiled brightly. Ulquiorra picked her up and kissed her cheek making her giggle. He grabbed his keys and left. Jess sighs. 'He is so sexy…' "Mama? Daddy goes bye-bye…" Nova looks down sadly. "Aw, don't worry. He will be back later. Go grab your shoes so we can go." "k mama." Nova says running to the shoe rack.
There was a meeting going on in the former spot of the Division 5 building. Shinji was waiting for Momo who was running late. Everyone was there. He had called the meeting to make some important announcement. Shinji checked his watch. "Oh, come on…" "Ah! I'm so sorry!" They heard Momo yell out. "Finally! What were you doing!?" Shinji yelled. "I'm sorry! I had a doctor's appointment!" "For what are you sick? Are you contagious?" Momo frowned. "How rude! I'm two months pregnant!" She snaps. Gasps were heard. "Your pregnant!?" Shinji says looking at her belly. "Wow…so Toshiro finally put one in you…way to go. Now we can start the meeting since everyone is here." He cleared his throat. "As you all know, major changes happened here. With that being said, I'm sure you all think we are going to be doing something awesome or whatever but that is a lie. It's not like we did much of anything back in the day." His workers gave him a confused look. "As of today, division 5 is completely shut down." "What!?" They screamed. "You heard me. All the divisions have broken up into different fractions of things. Division 4 no longer exists as they have all been either put in a hospital, an urgent care, or some form of medical training or they went to do something different all today. Most all the divisions are doing the same so this shouldn't be a shock." "W-Well what are we supposed to do?" "Uh…go out and find a job or do something with your life? That is no longer my concern. I would be lying if I said I enjoyed spending my time here so good luck. Later." He walked away whistling.
The workers stood there upset and confused. Momo stood in front of them. "Excuse me, everyone. As I knew this would happen, I have already required secondary jobs on your behalf. I would advise you all to check your phones and emails and report to your new jobs. Should you not want it, you are free to quit since it was something temporary I did." She heard sighs of relief coming from the group. "Thank you, ma'am!" "You're the best!" "I will miss working for you!" Momo waved. "I wish you all much luck. Now I have to get going to my new job." She giggled and walked off.
At Edgewood Academy, Kisuke was in the principal's office with Jushiro. He was wearing a dark blue dress shirt and gray slacks. His hair was still messy, but he didn't mind that. Jushiro smiled. He was wearing a white dress shirt with dark blue jeans and shoes. His jacket was hanging on the back of the chair. "Are you ready Kisuke?" He sighs. "I still don't know why I was chosen for the job." "Oichi felt that you would be able to identify with the students here more. You are very relaxed and easy-going, and you think outside the box. So, when dealing with troubled students, we feel that you will do a much better job than just simply kicking them out or suspending them. You have free rein to do what you like here as the principal." Kisuke chuckled. "I suppose so. I guess we will see how it will go. So now what?" "Well, I decided that I will do the opening speech to all the students here. We can introduce the staff and after that, we can let them explore the school before sounding the first bell." "Alright, let's see what could go wrong with this perfect plan." Kisuke says rubbing his hands.
In the pre-school section, Grimmjow walked into the room with Kendric. He spotted Nel. She was wearing a light grey skirt with a matching suit jacket, black stockings, and high heels. "What are you dressed up for." He asked walking up to her. "Job interview. I may have asked for the bookstore near Jess's coffee shop." "Oh, the one I'm rebuilding. Cool. It's about time that old woman gave that shop up." Nel rolled her eyes. "Daddy!" Grimmjow saw Grayson waving. He waved back. He was already making new friends. Kendric looked around and got close to Grimmjow. "Nothing to be worried about. You will be okay." "It was good for Oichi to decide to let him come here instead of Straight to kindergarten. This will help him adapt to more people." "Ken!" They heard. They saw Kazui, Noah, and Eli running over. "Oh, looks like you guys were already here." Grimmjow says. Kendric looked relieved. "Sit here!" Kazui says pointing to their cubbies. "Go on." Grimmjow says. "Bye." Kendric says running off with the boys.
Grimmjow chuckled. "My dad's duties are done. Guess I'll head out." "Hey! You mean!" Crying was heard. "Or not…" He turned around to see that Grayson had pushed a kid down. "Grayson!" Both Nel and Grimmjow said making him jump. A teacher walked over. "I am assuming that is your son?" Nel sighs. "I am very sorry about him. We have told him so many times not to be mean to others." "Yes, well I will let him off with a warning. One of the kids took the bear from a girl and he was trying to get it back. I do not tolerate bullies especially at this age, but I don't want to use violence as an enforcer." "We understand. Thank you so much." Nel says smiling. "Grayson, get over here." Grimmjow says putting his hands in his pockets. Grayson dragged his feet and pouted looking down. "Sorry, daddy…" "I know." He squats down and ruffles his head. "I know but what did you promise your aunt?" "Not to be bad." "Good, so unless someone physically touches you, you can go around pushing kids got it?" Grayson nods. "No touch, no push." "Right. Tell the teacher, okay? Be a good boy and auntie will be happy." Grayson smiles. "Hug?" "Course." He gave Grayson a hug. "Now go play. Kendric is right over there." Grayson smiles and ran off. Grimmjow chuckled ignoring the other mothers in the room. They were blushing and checking him out. "Oh my…what a handsome man." "Did you see how he handle his son? I love a man who isn't afraid to show affection to his children." "Is he taken?" "I see a ring on his finger aw…" Nel rolled her eyes. "Of course, everywhere you go you bring unwanted attraction." Nel says crossing her arms. Grimmjow smirked. "I am good at what I do." He turns to leave parting the sea of women. Right as Nel was about to leave a woman tapped her shoulder. "Excuse me? You husband. How much time does he spend with your son?" "Husband? Who? That guy? Nooo, no-no. That ship was sailed a long time ago. We just happen to share our son." "But the ring?" "Different husband honey but, to answer your question he spends a lot with his son. Even on long days after work. He values that time a lot and isn't afraid to show little feelings." "Oh…so he is single?" "He is engaged, and he has three more children, so I suggest you leave it alone. Trust me. His fiancé isn't one to mess with." Nel walked off.
At 7:00 am, all the students from 6th grade to 12th were sitting in a large over 30,000 seated auditorium hall. Seats on the bottom, middle, and top floors. There was a podium in the middle and three large, big screens so that everyone could see who was speaking. The students were talking among themselves. Some were excited, some looked bored, others were nervous, a few looked mad that they were there. In the first few seated rows, Shelia was sitting alone. She sighs softly until someone sat on the left and right side of her. "Shelia! Hi!" Kim says smiling. Shelia smiled. "Hi, Kim. Are you just getting here?" "No, I was walking around and saw you seating here." Shelia chuckled and turned to Ty with was a pink blush on her face. "Hi, Ty. Good morning." "Good morning. It's loud in here." "Yeah, it's been nonstop for a while. The morning bell sounds off at 7:30. Do you know what classes you are in?" Kim asked?" Ty took out his list. "Let's see…I have history, math, English, engineering, lunch, science, then P.E for last." Shelia sighs. "I see…looks like we may be sharing English and science together. Other than lunch."
The side doors opened on stage and the students calmed down. A few teachers walked on stage gaining everyone's attention. "Hey, it's Mr. Jushiro." Shelia whispered. Jushiro smiles and taps the microphone. "Good morning, everyone, can you all hear me, okay?" He asks as his voice goes through the building. "Firstly, I would like to welcome all of you to Edgewood academy. All of you are making history here today as the very first students to start and end here. I know that it may seem difficult at first, but I promise you that things are much easier than they seem. Before we go on, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jushiro Ukitake. I am the vice-principal of the school. Unfortunately, due to my illness, you may not see me too much around here." He holds his hand out and Kisuke walks up. "This man here is your principal his name is Kisuke Urahara." Kisuke did a slight wave and a wink. This made some of the girl's giggle. "Next is this man is Tetsuzaemon Iba, he will be the head of security around here. In case of emergencies. There is also another man that would be helping with that as well, but he isn't today and lastly, we have the secretary in the main office, his name is Tessai Tsukabishi and his assistant Ururu Tsumugiya. Anything you need help they will happily assist you. We don't have much time, but you will come to learn all the staff who works here. Moving on, I would like to briefly explain how things will work. Firstly, all your classes have been sent to you through email, mail, or came with your uniform. For those of you who were able to get PDA's, they will be in the system. If you have an issue with the scheduling, please come to the main office so that we can get it fixed. After 6 weeks of school, the classes become permanent, and you cannot change them. Secondly, every day you will report to home class so that the teachers so can take daily attendance, listen to any morning announcements, and once we set up our broadcasting clubs, you will be welcome to the student news. Also, I know you all have noticed how large this school is and that is because each grade set has its own building. As well all grades have separate lunches. All 6th graders will eat at a scheduled time as well as 7th graders and so on and so on. Thirdly, After the 6 weeks of school have passed, you will be allowed to join after-school activities and clubs. Be sure to sign up for them. Lastly, we are all new here. We all come from different families, homes, ethnic groups, and more. Please treat each other with respect. This is something new not for just you students but for us teachers and staff as well. Now, everything else will be in your school rule book that you will receive in your home class." He looked at his watch. "Alright, it is already a little past 8. The morning bell will not sound, we are giving you an extra 30 minutes to get settled into the school. With that said, please enjoy your day, and Welcome to Edgewood Academy!"
The students were dismissed and started to file out of the building splitting up to go to their classes. Kim sighs. "I guess I'm off to the 6th-grade building. See you after school brother. Bye Shelia." She waves. Ty and Shelia wave back. "Looks like we got homeroom together. Let's go." Shelia nods and walks alongside him.
Jess was at the coffee bar with Tatsuki. She was training her to be an assistant manager at the store. The door opened and River and Terry walked in. Jess smiled. "River, Ter! Hi there?" "Yo." Terry says sitting down at the bar next to River. "Friends of yours?" Tatsuki asked. "Yes, with River. This is her boyfriend, Terry. He is Oichi's cousin." Terry waves. "Wow…she wasn't lying then…" "Lying? About what?" "She said the guys on her grandfather's side were blessed with the good-looking genes. While Danni and Nia don't look like their age at all you and your uncles…" Tatsuki shakes her head. Terry laughed. "You meet my uncle Chaz before?" "No, Oichi showed a picture of her family and you guys have amazing genes." Terry laughs. "Nice. It's good to see Oichi made some nice friends." "Have you been to see her?" Jess asked. Terry laughs nervously, scratching the back of his ears. "W-Well…not really." River pouted. "That's why we are here. He has been here in the city and has yet to see her. I had to be the one to tell her about our relationship." "I said I was sorry. I thought I made it up to you last night?" "You did but I want more." "Okay, okay can we not go into the heated talk?" Jess says, realizing where the conversation was going.
River giggled and leaned on Terry. "Oh! Jess, I have news. After confirming with Lord Jetter, I am allowed to settle down here. Since my job is still to guard you he figured it was best I just stay here." "River, I don't need to be guarded. I can protect myself you know." "Never hurts to have a backup. Anyways, now that I am staying, may I have a job here? For now, at least. I have an idea for a store, but I must go through some channels or whatever?" "Channels…oh yea. You have to submit a form to the city hall now." Jess smirked. "Luckily for you, we happen to be friends with the woman who is sleeping with the construction owner. I can talk to Grimmjow and see what we can do." River smiles. "Great! I'll get the paperwork ready also, I have signed up to teach a class at the school. It's not a year-round class only for 6 months each year." "Really? What is it?" "An herbal class. You know, I have had a lot of knowledge in his brain of mine. What could it be to teach the children of the future about herbs?"
"Sounds like it will be a fun class. What about you Ter?" Jess asked. "I wasn't planning on doing anything, but uncle actually wants me to be a P.E teacher so here I am." "What was his reasoning?" Tatsuki asked. "That's a damn good question." Terry says with a sigh. "He is even reworking my contact to let me stay in the city longer than usual." Rivers and Jess's eyes widen hearing that. "I don't know why, and he won't tell me. So, I just figured maybe since the kids are starting to go to school, he needs a pair of eyes to make sure nothing happens to them?" A large grin was on River's face. 'Oichi! You did it! I don't know how I could ever repay you!'
Jess cleared her throat, and River quickly wipes the grin off her face. "Terry? If he is reworking your contact, wouldn't that also mean you get to spend more time with River?" Terry blinks. "Oh yeah. That is a good point. We wouldn't have to sneak around anymore since he knows about you." "Annnd…have you ever thought about you know…settling…and kids…a future you know?" River's face turned red. "Jess! Please…" Terry hums and looks down. "I never had a chance to think about it, to be honest. I've been under uncle for so long my mind has just been doing a job and doing it right. The thought of all of that other stuff never really clicked I guess." River frowned and turned her head.
The door opened and Mikey walked in with Harribel. "Mikey? I haven't seen you in a while." Jess said. Mikey waves and joins them at the bar. "Excuse me? Can I have the usual?" Harribel asked. "Sure, thing Harribel." Tatsuki starts to work on her order. Mikey reached out and ruffled Terry's hair. "I haven't seen you in years. What are you doing out of the shadows?" "Becoming a P.E teacher." Mikey laughs. "Dad ripped up your contact?" "He is reworking it." "Is he now. That is…rare…" He looked over to see River holding her head down. "Ahhh…you plan on settling down or something?" "We were just talking about that, but it never crossed my mind you know." Mikey laughs again. "I see, I see." He leans on his elbow. "Listen, little cousin, you have been with dad since you were a kid. You are the first person he has ever reworked a contact for. That means he wants you to have a future. Whether it be a simple P.E…or…you spend the rest of your life with the girl of your dreams." Terry turns to River who blushed and played with a bit of her hair. Terry smiles. "I see. I think a future with River would be nice." She turned him and leaned on him again.
Jess chuckled as Tatsuki placed some cake a cup of coffee in front of Harribel. She grabbed some Irish cream, but she held her hand up. "I cannot drink that right now. Just the coffee will do." "Really?" "Okay…" Jess tilts her head. "You always get that. Is there something wrong?" Harribel glanced at Jess and went to eat her cake. Jess frowned. 'Did she just ignore me…was she this rude before? Maybe she is in a bad mood…'
The door opened and Oichi walked in with a sigh. "Mikey, what the hell!" Mikey smiled. "Hey, sis! You made it!" "Well duh, you texted me saying it was an emergency! What is going on?" "What? Everything is fine." He says. Oichi narrowed her eyes at him. "Mikey you do realize I just left my job here right!" Mikey held his hands up. "Okay, okay I have news I want to share but I wanted to tell you first okay." Oichi sighs. "You are unbelievable! You couldn't just walk down the damn street to the store!" "Harribel got hungry and wanted some sweets." Oichi noticed Harribel. "Oh…I guess I can overlook it if it was for Harribel."
Her eyes went to Terry. "TERRY!" Terry jumped and cussed under his breath. He was hoping she didn't see him. Oichi stormed over and smacked the back of his head. "Owwww! H-Hey there Oichi. I didn't see you there." Oichi glared at him. "So, you were just going to keep me in the dark about you and River!? Do you know what I had to do to get papa to rework your contact!" "I'm sorry! I was going to tell you, but stuff kept happening, and…wait…you did what?" Oichi sighs and crossed her arms. "Forget, you blockhead. Enjoy making a ton of babies with River." River's face heated up. Terry's eyes widen and then he looked at River. A grin spreads across his face making her squeak. "Mikey, what do you want? I have stuff to do and you popping up randomly does not fit in my schedule."
"Well. I have news to share, and I wanted my little sister to be the first to know." "Okay…" He grabbed Harribel and pulled her close to him, making Oichi gasp. "Are you two dating?" "Yes, and it gets better." He places a hand on her belly. "You're going to be an aunt." Oichi placed her hands on her cheek. "Are you pregnant!?" A slight blush ran over Harribel's cheeks. "Oh my gosh!" Oichi ran over to her and hugged her. "Welcome to the family! I always wanted a big sister!" Harribel becomes flustered. Oichi pulled back. "How far along are you?" "5 weeks. I learned yesterday and I wanted you to be the first to know." Oichi smiled even harder. "I feel so happy for you! If you need anything please, please, PLEASE, let me know! My niece or nephew will be spoiled before they pop out your belly." Mikey chuckled. "It will possibly be a niece and a nephew sis…" Oichi clapped her hands together. "TWINS! This is possibly the best news in my entire life for the day." Mikey chuckled and took Harribel's hand. "See, I told you she would be happy."
"Why wouldn't I be happy? I mean even if it wasn't with my brother, I would have loved your babies no matter the father. Just ask Nel. Really though, congratulations to you both. My happy levels are through the roof and more babies get added to the family without me. Mikey, you know what this means right?" "Yeah, I know…" Harribel crossed her arms. "We already talked about it. I refused to be with a man who can't support himself so he will get a job as a schoolteacher and a sports coach." Oichi crossed her arms. "Looks like I won't have to say much. Don't mess this up, brother. Harribel is a wonderful woman who could have any man she wants, and she picked you." "Ouch…harsh, but don't worry I'll be fine. We will be fine. I already brought your old house." "Really? Oh…well that works. It's not like we were selling it for a large amount but are you sure?" "Oh yeah, it's still perfect."
Oichi chuckled and then sighs. "Since we are all giving out the good news. I guess while some of you are here, I can tell you." "Tell us what?" "I want you all to clear out your schedule for two weeks before and on the week of the 16th." "Why?" Tatsuki asked. Oichi smiled happily. "My wedding! We set a date for next month!" Jess's eyes sparkled. "Oh my God! Finally!" Mikey chuckled. "Congratulation's sis." "Wait why so soon? That's next month? What about the venue? Your dresses? And stuff like that?" "That's why I wanted you to clear out your schedule. We decided to get married on my home island. My grandma already has everything set up and my dad is getting the plane ready all of my supplies for the dresses and suits have already been transferred over there and because I already have everyone's sizes it won't be as hard to refit everyone."
Jess giggled. "I'm so ready! Do you know how long I've been wanting to go to your home island? Not even my uncle can get there with his jets." Oichi chuckled. "Yes, dad made sure of that. So, September 7th is when we are leaving. We should arrive around the 10th depending on which plane dad is using. You all are going to love it! I feel like we all need a big vacation after everything!" Tatsuki chuckled. "I agree. I'll let Orihime and the others know." Oichi nods. "Thanks so much. Now I need to get back to work. Make sure you all take time off and pack light. I suggest bringing an extra suitcase. My island is also a tourist spot so I'm sure you can find what you need there. Bye!" She ran out giggling. Mikey sighs. "Well, that's that. Looks like everyone got some good news." He wraps his arm around Harribel and kissed her cheeks. "Now you get to see where I was born as well and meet the rest of the family." Harribel nods. "I'm hungry. Take me to the shake shack." "Of course, my dear." He took her head and they left.
Jess chuckled. "Looks like next month is going to be fun! Your coming right River?" "She doesn't have a choice. If she is going to be my future wife and mother to my kids, she has to meet the family. I'm sure gramps will be there…" River's face turned pink. "F-Future wife? Kids?" Jess laughed poking her cheeks. Terry smiled and then frowned. 'I'm sure she will be there…in fact, from what uncle says she is somewhere around here being happy…' He sighs. 'Like she has the right to be happy…'
Oichi made it back to her store and saw her office door was opened. She walked in and saw Yamamoto looking around. "Oh? Grandpa? What are you doing here? Didn't you have a meeting with Grimmjow?" Yamamoto hums out. "I do…I was just stopping by to speak to you about an important matter." Oichi closed the door. "Did something happen?" "Yes, I know this is too much to ask, but…is there any way I can contact your grandmother Lillian?" "Grandma Lily?" "Yes, after seeing the pictures of your children I wanted to speak with her about Anthony. I wanted to learn more about him." Oichi smiled. "Actually…I would like for you to attend my wedding next month. We are having it on my home island. That way you can speak to her directly. She has asked about you too. It might be for the best if you do this face to face." "Hmm…very well…I will accept your invitation." Oichi smiled. "Great! Don't worry, papa won't be with us. He has his own means to get home." Yamamoto let out a sigh. "Your father… is the oldest of four, isn't he?" "Yes, but my aunts and uncles are living in different places. I don't know if they will be back in time for the wedding." "I see. Thank you for understanding my request." Oichi giggled and placed her arms behind her back. "We are family! It's what we do!"
Grimmjow and Ulquiorra were sitting in city hall. They were waiting in the meeting room. Grimmjow was tapping his fingers on the desk. "Are you serious…how late can a person be." Ulquiorra lets a sigh slip out of his lip. The doors opened and Shunsui and Nano walked out. "Eh? I thought we were meeting the old man." "Nope, it's just me today. As my first official order of business, I wanted to meet with you two first." He sat down. Nano stood on the side. "So, what do you want now." Grimmjow asked. "I would like you two to take official government titles." Shunsui says. "Pass." Grimmjow says almost immediately. Ulquiorra was silent but the displeasure was shown on his face. "Hear me out. You both have done this city well and you two know both sides of the city like the back of your hand. We don't have anyone like that right now." "No. I'm not getting into your messed-up politics. Don't want anything to do with that." "I don't intend on being another fall guy." Ulquiorra says.
"No one is talking about politics or a fall guy. Just listen. It is a temporary position. I want you both to try it for a year and if you like you can have the spot. If you don't like it then I will never bring it up again and you both can go back to your normal daily construction lives." Both men sat in silence. "I'm going to take that as a yes. Okay, let's start. Ulquiorra. We have been looking to find a Finance director. We need help with budgeting and accounting operations for the city. It's just like what you are doing for Grimmjow but instead, you will only be reporting to me and Nano here. We would need you to consistently update revenue and expense data and all the stuff for the city. I think you are much better fitted at this job because you are very calculated and even though you don't come off as much as a threat you can analyze any situation and adapt to it quickly." Ulquiorra links his fingers and closed his eyes to think.
He looked at Grimmjow. "As for you, we would like you to take the spot of planning director and the role of parks and recreation director. We are prepared to help expand your construction company even bigger. Now that our divisions are breaking apart our men need to put their bodies to good work. They all want to work at construction depo." Grimmjow leans back and crosses his arms. "I'm listening…" Shunsui nods. "As the planning director, your job would be to help us determine and communicate the vision of what the city will look like. Basically, a bigger construction job." "I know what it is…so you just want me to do my job with a fancier title?" "That's an easy way of putting it. Though you will be more in suits, and you have to report to me. You will still be your own boss with a large construction company at your back. More money in your pocket to live a peaceful lifestyle and I think it would be better than any spot Aizen once granted you, don't you think?"
Grimmjow sighs. "I suppose…" "Do we have a deal? Only one year." Ulquiorra opened his eyes. "Very well. One year." Grimmjow shakes his head. "Same…one year couldn't kill me. Just don't try any funny stuff." Shunsui nods. "Thank you both. You have made my job much easier."
There was a knock at the door. "You can come in." Shunsui says. The door opened and Ben walked in. He was cleaned up nicely. He was in an all-black suit with his hair slicked back and a folder. Grimmjow chuckled. "Well look at you brat. You look almost like a professional." "Grim? What are you doing here?" "The better question is what are you doing here looking like that? Don't tell me you got offered a job here too." "I…did. Though I don't know why." Shunsui points at the seat. "Have a seat. You came at a perfect time." Ben sat on the other side of Grimmjow. "I was explaining to these two gentlemen about the new jobs I want you to do. Since you are the oldest son of Barragan, it wouldn't be fair to leave you out. Shunsui nods. "Excellent! Before I let you go, there is one more bit of information I wanted to tell you." "It better not be a group project." Grimmjow mumbled. Shunsui's smile drops. "A few weeks ago, on the 22nd of July…we recovered Aizen's body." Their eyes widen. "What?" "At first we didn't believe it since he did fake his own death but, after Unohana and Mayuri did multiple tests on the body that was found they concluded that it was indeed Aizen's body." Grimmjow sighs. "How did he die?" "Poison and stabbed. His body was in the water for about three months, so the sea life did get to him, taking chunks of his flesh including his face." "Poison?" Ben says. "No way…your lying…" "Afraid not. Do you three know anyone who would use poison?" "Our messed-up freak of a scientist but he is nowhere to be seen and after Aizen ditched us we spilt." We are hoping that whoever did this will see it and slip up somehow. The last thing we need is someone worse than Aizen roaming around here. What I need from you three is information. Whatever channels you use to get your own information, ask around and see if anyone knows anything and report back to me. Even if it's tiny." Grimmjow got up. 3 pm was soon here and the bell rings for the kids to get out of school. The bus drove all over the city delivering kids home from school. Oichi and Grimmjow were home with the twins and Cyrus when the door opened. "Oichi! Grim!" They heard Shelia call out. She came running around the corner with Kendric walking in behind her. "Hi, sweetie. How was your first day?" "It was amazing!" "Go get changed and come tell us all about it." "Okay mom!" Shelia gasps and covered her mouth. "S-Sorry…" She says getting embarrassed. "It's nothing to be embarrassed about honey. It's fine." Shelia smiles and ran upstairs to change. Kendric dragged his feet. "Kenny? Are you okay?" "Don't like it." He said rubbing his arm.
He pushed the book bag on the floor. "Aw. Come here." Kendric walked over to her. She picked him up and sat him beside her. "What happened? You didn't have fun?" "…no…" "Why? Were there too many people?" He nods his head. "Oh, honey. Don't worry, you are going to make some new friends and once you get used to the environment there you will like it. Just like at daycare." Kendric tears. "Don't like it." Oichi wipes his tears. "Don't be upset honey. I know it's hard, but it will get better."
"Ken!" Kendric looked to see Alisha and Naomi were looking up at him with tears in their eyes. Cyrus was standing up on his own staring at him. "Look at it this way, your sisters and brothers are going to need someone to look up to when they start going to school and you will get to see them even more." "I would?" "Yup, soon you all will be in school together!" Kendric sniffed. Grimmjow leans on his elbow. The girls bounced, wanting Kendric to play with them. He slides off the couch and they tackled him with a hug making him smile. Oichi giggled. "How cute."
While the kids played on the floor, Shelia came skipping back downstairs. "I had the best time today and I got to be in a class with Ty!" Grimmjow frowned slightly at that. Oichi chuckled. "You like your classes?" "Yup! I didn't want to change them out at all! I saw Bella and Emma too. They look like they were having fun." Oichi got up. "Come tell me about while I get started on dinner." Shelia skipped after her. Grimmjow grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. His mind wandered back to the meeting. 'If Aizen really is dead maybe we really have a nice and peaceful life…' He looked at his kids playing and chuckled. 'I guess this won't be so bad.'
Nia was sitting at the gazebo alone. Crissy had gone to greet the kids and Byakuya. Nia had a notebook and was writing in it. It was letters to her late husband, Terrance. She was writing a final letter to him.
'To my dear love, I have finally found a man that I can open my heart open to. He is kindhearted and sweet. Though a little Strick when it comes to his work, I find it cute. He makes my heart flip, and I cannot stop smiling whenever he is around me. It reminds me of how I felt about you when we first meet.' She smiles and tears up. 'I love him, and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I know you have been disappointed in me over the few years I was down. I hurt our oldest son, and it is a bridge I have to try to mend together one day. Today, though, I hope that you are happy that I have decided to move on not only for our kids but for myself.'
"Mom!" She looked up to see Ty and Kim running towards her. Byakuya was not far behind. She smiled. 'I have found a place where I can feel safe, and I have found my light again. Until we meet again my dearest, sleep well, be in peace. Nia…' She closed the book and smiled brightly. "How was school." Ty and Kim slide into the gazebo. "Fun!" Kim said. "I made a friend! His name is Arron and he said I was cute." "Did he?" Nia says. "I think she is lying. Who would say that to you…" Ty says rolling his eyes. "I am cute!" Kim says frowning. Byakuya slid into the gazebo by Ty. "Arron liked the color of my hair and he said he never saw someone as cute as me before!" Kim says sticking her tongue out at Ty. "It's obvious this kid is blind." Ty says sighing. Kim tears up. "Mom! Am I ugly!?" "No of course not sweetie." "Mom is too kind to tell you the truth." Ty says.
Kim puffs her cheeks out. "This Arron boy. What is his last name?" Byakuya asked. "Uh…I think it was Stevenson?" Byakuya took out his phone and texted something. His phone started to buzz a lot. "Hm…" "Something wrong?" Nia asked. "His background is questionable. I'll have to look into it more." Nia's eyes widen slightly. "Did you just do a background check on him?" "I did. I don't want anyone to try and take advantage of Kim or Ty." Kim looks down. "So, I'm not cute? Are all boys' liars!" Nia pats her head. "No honey. Byakuya did it to protect you." "Kim."
Kim sniffed and looked at Byakuya. "Come here." Kim slid out her side and went to Byakuya. She slid in beside him. "Sometimes, boys can say nice and sweet things to get what they want. Right now, it's probably nothing but when you are older you will start to see the difference. I don't want you to get hurt by some immature boy one day. It's a father's duty to protect his family." Kim blinks. "A…father's duty?" Nia's face started to turn different shades of red. "I knew it!" Ty says slamming his hand on the table. "You got married without us!" "Wha…NO! We did not get married!" Kim's eyes sparkled. "Are you our new dad now!? Can I call you daddy!?" "You may."
Ty frowned. "I'm telling auntie on you. You promised that we could be at your wedding, and you went out and got married without us!" He slips under the gazebo table and ran off. "Ty wait! We didn't get…married…" Kim giggled. "I'm gonna tell her we got a new daddy!" Kim says running after Ty. Nia let out a sigh. "Byakuya…" He slid over to her. "In due time, we are getting married. It's good to get them used to it." 'There he goes deciding on his own again…' Nia says with a sigh. Byakuya noticed the notebook on the table. "What were you doing?" "Oh? I was writing my last letter to Terrance. I had started writing him every day after he passed, and even in my dark days." "Writing him letters?"
Nia grabbed the notebook. "My mother believed that if I wrote to him every day and then burn the letters in front of his grave, the ashes of the words would reach him. Lately, I have been writing less and less. Today, I wrote him telling him I was happy and that I have finally found my light again." She leans on his shoulder. "I don't need the notebook, so I will send it home to my mother so that she can send it off." Byakuya wrapped an arm around her. "No, keep it." "Hm? Why?" "I would like to come to you to his grave one day. If he sees that you are happy with me, then he should be able to rest in peace." Nia smiles. "Yeah…I would like to meet Hisana as well." Byakuya kissed her forehead. "I will bring you to her. Though I am sure she knows how happy I am with you."
