Gary in Cerulean City (Part 2)

The Eevees in this world are definitely more fox than anything, very akin to Vulpix. I have no idea where Gary found his, but rest assured, I was going to catch at least 3 of them.

Gary's Eevee put up the best fight, due to its natural agility, not because of the trainer giving instructions. I still wasn't going to use any of my three starters. It was only fitting that I used... my Pikachu.

"Ha! You think that little runt can take my Eevee?" Gary shouted.

Uhh… bro, I already took out your other guys in outrageous ways. Haha.

I mentioned before that my smaller-than-average-size Pikachu was a feisty little girl. When I caught her, she had put up a fight until her body could take no more and broke down panting, unable to move. Even then there was still fight left in her eyes. Of course, once I had caught her, she realized that she was safe, and didn't have to be so feral to survive in the wild. Her advanced electric power was an evolutionary necessity, given her small size. But as a member of my Pokemon family, she learned that she can relax, and sleep warmly at night without worrying about predators. All of us had each other's backs. She very quickly became a very affectionate little girl...But not in a fight. Oh, no. My Pikachu was the craziest little battery rat in a fight, the last thing any Pokemon would want to face in the wild.

With all the energy she saved up by being able to fully rest at night, my Pikachu was able to go all out and become an absolute beast during training sessions and battles. Her speed and electric power became even more advanced. She was easily my fastest Pokemon on the ground.

Gary's Eevee had no chance.

Having no ranged moves, Eevee had to resort to tackles, and even tried to bite (despite having little jaw-strength to do any real damage) Pikachu. I was more than happy to hold back her electric moves, and face head on with physical type moves. Except that Pikachu was able to boost her speed with the electric powers around her. She was basically Flash's pet rat.

If I hadn't trained with her beforehand to agree on certain movement patterns, it would've been difficult even for me to keep up with her speed. Having worked on cornering and top speed, Pikachu was able to overcome her small size with pure speed.

One tackle to Eevee's left ribs had the little fox flying into the air, and even before she landed, Pikachu had turned 180 degrees, bouncing off of a tree, and landed a second tackle in the right side. Eevee passed out with foams at the mouth. I wouldn't be surprised if more than two ribs were broken.

Of course Gary didn't accept his defeat graciously. He muttered complaints and even said that I was the lesser trainer because he had already earned the Cascade Badge and I didn't. He also boasted about meeting the famous researcher, Bill. I nodded my head as he had to hand over a few 10000 Pokedollar bills. Who's the loser now, loser?

I didn't ask, but he didn't hesitate to tell me how he was off to Vermilion City and how he was the greatest, the best, et cetera, et cetera...
