The Force Born
The Sith Initiates all stood at attention on the assembly ground as names were called, if yours was called you would step forward.
"All those whose names were called, stay here for your instructions. The rest of you are dismissed," Ventress ordered and the Initiates obeyed her order quickly.
All of those who were still there stood, some were anxious while others were prideful, awaiting Ventress to announce whatever she held them back for.
"You will all be returning to Dromuund Kaas, there is a ship leaving at eleven-hundred hours. So, make sure you are not late," Ventress warned and dismissed them. They all rushed to go get their few belongings and head straight to the ship to make sure they weren't left behind. Platoon A4 was one of the many platoons who were leaving for Dromuund Kaas and their quarters was filled with a mix of anxiety and excitement for what was waiting for them. No one who had left Korriban ever returned for any reason, so they weren't sure what happened to them as the only news they all received was what planets the Empress had conquered and taken control of which was not much to go on.
A few days later, the Sith Initiates approached the Citadel which last time they had been on the surface of Dromuund Kaas was still in reconstruction but now it had obviously been fully completed and other buildings in the city were being rebuilt. They entered the assembly hall to find it lined with people in majestic looking armour and masks which sent shivers down their spins. There were a few differences in each of them some had more silver-coloured areas than others. Then at the front was the throne which the Sith Empress sat in, a line of eight people stood slightly behind her throne. These people were wearing armour as well but instead of silver markings theirs was blood red and their masks were all unique.
"I think they're all Force Borns," Patemer whispered to Baton who was standing next to them.
"Welcome back Initiates!" Jaira called out to the entire Hall, "Before we get down to business I would like to make one thing explicitly clear to you all."
The Hall went deadly silent as the Initiates waited with bated breath to see what would happen next.
"You have been found to have finished your training and therefore will be joining the army, you will never be going back to Korriban," Jaira stated very clearly and firmly with no emotion, "Behind me are eight of the currently highest-ranking members of the Force Born who you will obey if you wish to stay alive. They are your superiors, disobeying them will be punishable by execution."
Jaira paused for a moment waiting for the order to sink in fully, "From here you will be taken to the armoury where you will be fitted with your new armour which you will wear at all times except for when you are sleeping. I warn you all now that you are not to alter, change or tamper with any piece of your armour," she made the warning very clear. Then she left the assembly hall, a few moments later one of the eight Force Born stepped forward, he had more red markings on his armour compared to the others.
"Move to the armoury," he ordered, "Don't waste time."
Then he left with the other Force Born as all the newly graduated Sith Soldiers were herded out the doors and to the armoury by those members of the Sith Army who were already clad in the armour. They found the eight Force Born members already there observing them all from one of the walls except now they had their masks off. Zromkiar was the eldest member of the Force Born, he had shoulder-length jet black hair and piercing blue eyes. He had the nastiest reputation out of all the Force Born and was the highest-ranking. As a Sith Master, he held more influence than any of the other members of the Force Born. His two lackeys, Hirhaish and Joikaw, were just as bad as their leader. Hirhaish had chin-length brown hair that he always kept up, menacing green eyes and a bad temper to go with his enjoyment of Force choking any who didn't follow his orders to the fullest extent. Joikaw had shaggy jet-black hair, cold grey eyes and always kept deadly silent unless he needed to give orders. It was needless to say that when these three were together nothing and no one could stand in their way. Aqiri had long fiery red hair, light blue eyes and her temper was just as fiery as her hair and she enjoyed nothing more than killing people who cross her. Ridae had short red hair that she always kept down, turquoise eyes and she hated anything she calls an insolence; she deemed anyone who wasn't a member of the Force Born as worthless trash. Namut and Taevo are identical twin brothers who were inseparable, they both had white-blonde hair, light blue eyes and blood-red tattoos on their faces so that they were distinguishable from each other. Namut was the more controlled brother with very little temper, he always thinks ten steps ahead while Taevo has an uncontrollable temper and is more reckless than his brother.
The armour they were putting on was very similar to that of what the Force Born were wearing but instead of red markings, theirs were grey. The other Sith Army members that were giving instructions for putting the armour on had the same but had two grey bands on the sleeves of their robes instead of one. The robes consisted of three layers; the tunic and pants, armour plating and then the robe. The only pieces that were difficult to put on were the armour plating as they were fairly heavy and a few of them almost crushed one of their limbs by trying to put on a piece that did not fit. The last thing they put on was the mask and then each of them was ordered to walk outside to wait. The Sith Army began to gather in the assembly grounds as the crowd grew thicker with more of them as they exited the armoury in full armour.
"Attention!" a voice called and the army scrambled to get into orderly lines facing the Force Born members, awaiting their orders. All of them then started walking down the rows to sceptically look over each soldier with stoic faces. Someone on the assembly ground must have flinched because at the next second a lightsaber had been stabbed through his chest. The dead body dropped limp on the ground and everyone stood even more still to try and stay alive past the inspection. Life as a member of the Sith Army was hard unless you are lucky enough to be a Force Born, constantly fighting to stay alive for one more day. The only thing that the soldiers could think was that this was the final stage of weeding out the undesirables from the army. In battle there was no time for mistakes, doubt or disloyalty as any of those things would get you killed; whether by execution by your General or by bleeding out on the battlefield. The Force Born were prized and extremely well looked after, almost spoilt, by the Empress while the members of the army were all disposable and replaceable.
