A Single Spark

Raven approached the entrance to a building that he never thought he would ever enter but he needed to know whether Daly and Ashlyn were safe and who better to know that information or how to find it than a Republic SIS Agent. The Jedi Padawan approached the front desk which a woman in a simple administration uniform sat behind, ignoring him for around five minutes before finally acknowledging him.
"What can I do for you Master Jedi?" the woman asked curiously.
"I am here to see SIS Agent Highrock," Raven replied.
The woman pushed a button and then rose from her seat, "Very well, Agent Highrock's office is just down that hallway and is the fifth door on the left."
Raven bowed his head slightly in appreciation and followed the directions, knocking upon reaching the door which opened instantly. He entered to find Mia standing at a table looking at several different items that looked like intelligence and pieces of evidence. She turned around and was surprised to see Raven standing there, expecting her Supervisor to have been the one who notified her of arriving, "Raven?"
"I'm sorry, is this a bad time?" Raven asked slightly nervous, "I should have contacted you before I came," he added.
"No it's fine, I'm just trying to close this case up," Mia explained briefly.
"I was wondering if you would be able to find out if Ashlyn and Daly are safe," Raven requested, "I know it's a gamble and that there is a high chance that you won't be able to find anything concrete but I've been really worried since we got back."
Mia walked over to her desk, "I can't guarantee anything but I can certainly try to find out if they are safe or at least alive," she replied cautiously as she sat at her desk and started going through the database to see what she could find.
Raven sat down in one of the other seats trying to wait patiently for what news Mia could dig up. After a few moments, a holo diagram of a Jedi Starfighter appeared and Raven's chest filled with a sense of relief as he recognised it as Ashlyn's personal Starfighter.
"According to the tracking device on this Starfighter it landed on Utapau a few hours ago," Mia revealed and when she sensed Raven was about to ask a specific question she replied, "These tracking devices only activate when the chip is outside of Hyperspace. So no, I cannot find out where she is exactly right now or where she is going."
Raven sighed, "Would it be too much to ask if you can put an alert on the tracking device? So that when Ashlyn is not in Hyperspace you get notified and then you can contact me as to her whereabouts," he asked hopefully.
Mia hesitated for a moment, "I can certainly try but the Jedi Order has always been very strict on what sort of information we have access to," Mia said as she started searching again to see if it could work.
The two of them fell silent for a few moments while Mia looked at the options available to her but sighed heavily.
"What's wrong?" Raven asked in concern.
"I don't have permission to access the alerts but I am sure the Jedi Council are keeping tabs on her, aren't they?" Mia said, admitting defeat.
"If they are then it's news to me," Raven replied, "Though they might not be telling us in case one of us decides to go running off after Ashlyn and Daly," he added thoughtfully as he rose to his feet, thanked the Agent and went to leave the office.
"Wait," Mia suddenly called out to him causing Raven to pause in the doorway and glance back in her direction and a few moments of silence passed between the two of them while Raven waited for her to continue with what she was about to say. "If you have nothing to do, you are welcome to stay here and we can continue to check it every few hours. Plus, I could use another set of eyes to help me close this case," Mia offered.
Raven hesitated momentarily as the list of duties he had to complete ran through his mind but then he shrugged his shoulders. It is not as if he would be sitting around doing nothing and the things that he needed to get done were not that urgent. So, the Jedi Padawan nodded and joined Mia at the table that had evidence scattered all over its surface.
