A/N: Just so my readers know, at the end of this chapter it gets a bit smutty/fluffy. It is not extreme but just wanted to let you know.

A Wondrous Night

Daly and Ashlyn stood on top of a grassy knoll on the island in the middle of Lake Varikino with no one else for miles; except Master Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala. The two newly knighted Jedi Knights only had eyes for each other as they repeated the vows that Master Yoda was listing. The ceremony was over in a matter of minutes with humble bows to Master Yoda who nodded his head. Ashlyn's hand fell into Daly's grasp instinctively and stayed there as the group talked amongst themselves.
"Well that was different to my wedding," Anakin mentioned casually which earned him a whack to the shin from Master Yoda's walking stick.
"Did it without permission from the Council and in traditional form, you did," Master Yoda berated, "That's why different, it was."
Obi-wan chuckled as his former Padawan moved to hide slightly behind his wife in case the small green Jedi Grand Master decided to whack him again.
"That was certainly very interesting. Thank you for allowing me to watch the ceremony Master Yoda," Padme thanked the Grandmaster.
"The first you certainly are, Senator Amidala," Master Yoda responded.
They started walking slowly back towards the boat to get back to the lake house side of the lake but upon reaching it, Ashlyn stopped walking causing Daly to look back at her curiously. "If it's okay I want to show Daly something," Ashlyn said.
"Very well, I will send Captain Typho back with a boat when you are done," Padme said as she shooed Anakin and Obi-wan into the boat which Master Yoda was already seated in.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the Jedi Knights below on the grassy knoll in the middle of the lake, up on the cliff face knelt a man watching them closely. He had been given a very important mission to watch the Empress's brother like a hawk after he managed to escape the Bounty Hunters. There was no room for error in his mission as it would cost both his and his father's lives. They had to prove to the Empress that they were going to deliver her everything she wanted to know in as much detail as possible. He watched the group walk away back towards the boat that would take them back to the lake house nearby and then he entered his ship to leave for Dromuund Kaas to give his report to the Sith Empress.

"What is it, Ash?" Daly asked as Ashlyn started pulling him back up the knoll, "You seem to know this lake area well even though you didn't grow up here," he added after he didn't get an answer to his question.
Ashlyn laughed, "Well spending almost every weekend here up until going to the Temple allows a lot of time for exploring," Ashlyn revealed.
Daly quirked his eyebrow at her, "My mother was one of Padme's handmaidens and plus when I was taken to the Jedi Temple my mother did not want me to go so she kept taking me out here to try and stop me from going," Ashlyn answered his question before he had an opportunity to ask it.
Eventually, they reached the other side of the island which had a section of the lake between them and a massive cliff that had a waterfall cascading down the face.
"So where to now?" Daly asked curiously.
"We have to swim across," Ashlyn said as she took her Jedi robe off and dropped it on the ground in a heap.
"What?" Daly asked incredulously, "Ash, you know that I can't swim."
"Trust me, it's not that deep. You'll be fine," Ashlyn reassured him as she started walking into the water and then turned around to look back at him, "Come on."
Daly sighed in defeat as he let his own Jedi robe fall to the grass next to hers and approach the water's edge. When Daly was standing next to Ashlyn, he linked his fingers with hers and took a deep breath as he glanced sideways to make eye contact with her. They counted down across their bond through the Force and then on one, they both jumped into the water. The view under the water was breathtaking as they swam across the gap, Daly following Ashlyn as she knew exactly where they were going. When they surfaced Daly realised they were now behind one of the waterfalls and they pulled themselves up onto one of the rocks. Daly shook his head, sending droplets of water everywhere while Ashlyn squeezed the water out of her hair.
"So, what's so special about this place?" Daly asked as he looked around the cave.
Ashlyn unclipped her lightsaber from her belt and looked at it fondly, "This is where I made my first lightsaber," Ashlyn revealed as she handed it to Daly which he examined closely for the first time and then he glanced at her second lightsaber.
"The runes-," Daly started with a slight frown, Ashlyn frowned slightly in reply and Daly continued, "-on your second lightsaber. Did you ever find out what they meant?".
"They're definitely Nabooian of origin but I wasn't able to find out what they meant," Ashlyn said, then pointing to the rune on the lightsaber in his hands, "That one means water."
"How long ago was it since you tried deciphering the other runes?" Daly asked.
"I've been trying every few weeks in the Room of a Thousand Fountains," Ashlyn said.
Daly took her hand suddenly and pulled her up onto the larger rock that she had sat on whilst building the first lightsaber.
"Let's try again together," Daly suggested as he placed the lightsaber on the rock and sat down in the meditative position. He held his hand out for her second lightsaber and she unclipped it from her belt to place it in his hand.
"What are you thinking?" Ashlyn asked curiously as Daly very deliberately placed the two lightsabers, pommel to pommel on the rock.
"Well your first lightsaber was made here, behind a waterfall and it has the Nabooian rune for water engraved on it. While the second lightsaber was made on Ilum and it has other runes on it that you haven't been able to decipher," Daly started to explain.
"Okay, and what does that have to do with here and with you?" Ashlyn asked trying to see where Daly's thought process was going.
"What you said in the Medical Centre. About the prophecy being about us, I think these runes are connected to it," Daly stated.
Ashlyn sat down across from him with a slightly sceptical look on her face and Daly sighed, "Can we at least give this a try before you discredit it?" he asked softly.
Ashlyn sighed, "Yeah okay."
The two Jedi Knights closed their eyes with the fingers of one hand intertwined once again as they reached out with their minds through the Force towards the two lightsabers. Then suddenly they both opened their eyes in shock as the room filled with mist, but it was not a normal mist. Images of scenes were flashing up around them as the runes on Ashlyn's lightsaber glowed, one at a time in sync with the images. Although the images contained people who were unknown to the couple they seemed so familiar. It was all over as fast as it had started, and it ended with the image of the six children which is when it clicked in both of their minds.
"They were the children," Ashlyn mumbled as the mist cleared and she picked the lightsaber up quickly.
"What did any of that have to do with the symbols?" Daly asked in confusion.
"Didn't you notice? Each of these symbols represents one of those children. Six children, six different symbols," Ashlyn pointed out, "We have to tell Obi-wan and Anakin now," she added in urgency as she clipped both lightsabers back to her belt and then dived back into the water.

Daly and Ashlyn leapt out of the boat before running up the steps, entering the living area of the lake house. Padme was sitting in one of the seats while the three Jedi Masters were all standing.
"What is it, Ash?" Anakin asked, picking up on his now-former Padawan's emotions.
"Daly and I just saw a vision. I think I know what the runes on my lightsaber mean," Ashlyn revealed which perked the interest of Master Yoda, Obi-wan and Anakin.
"Tell us you should," Master Yoda said as he sat down on a seat, waiting patiently for Ashlyn to start explaining what she had seen.
"There is a reason why you weren't able to tell me what they mean Padme, they're names," Ashlyn started and then went on to describe each of the people in the vision as well as which rune was in connection with them.
"There is one slight difference," Daly said cautiously, "One of those runes is not Nabooian," he revealed which caused all eyes to turn on him.
"Daly?" Obi-wan asked curiously, requesting for him to continue.
"Before I came to Temple my father took my sister and me to the homeworld of the Sith, Dromund Kaas. The tomb of one of my ancestors has that rune engraved on it, the name of that ancestor was Lord Kallig. You will be glad to know that as far as Sith Lords go he was actually quite an honourable man," Daly explained heavily.
"Hmm, which individual in the vision did this rune represent?" Master Yoda asked in concern.
"The second eldest boy," Ashlyn answered solemnly, "Master Yoda, who do you think these people are?" she asked desperately.
"Unsure I am, difficult to see the future is," Master Yoda stated nervously.

That night Daly swept Ashlyn up into his arms as they approached the threshold of the bedroom door which took her by surprise.
"Daly, you are still recovering," Ashlyn scolded him in a concerned tone which caused Daly to smirk in amusement at the statement.
"I'm not crippled Ash," Daly responded with just before their lips locked together in a kiss that quickly became deep and passionate. It only took a few steps for Daly to reach the massive bed, using the Force to shut the open door behind them as he let Ashlyn back down onto her feet. The two newly knighted Jedi and united soulmates stood there for what felt like an eternity, lips locked together while hands went from combing through hair to caressing the rest of the other's body. This was foreign territory for both Ashlyn and Daly as they had never gotten this far or deep before now. Ashlyn began absent-mindedly stripping Daly's robes off one item of clothing at a time until he was left with only his pants and underwear. It wasn't long before Daly followed suit and shortly Ashlyn was left with the same. Daly fell backwards onto the bed breaking the kiss momentarily, so they could both catch their breath as Ashlyn rested her head on his bare chest.
"Wow," Ashlyn mumbled through her shortness of breath.
"Yeah, that was amazing," Daly laughed.
"So, what do we do now?" Ashlyn asked curiously as she started to regain control of her breathing.
Daly moved his fingers slowly down Ashlyn's back, starting at her shoulder and ending on her lower back before moving his hand back up her back. The light and soft touch sent a shiver down Ashlyn's spine and then she moved her head to look at his face.
"Anything we want to do," Daly replied with a most intriguing expression on his face and Ashlyn couldn't help but feel like she had seen it before however, she decided to dismiss it.
"Any ideas?" Ashlyn asked, teasing him lightly.
Daly quirked his eyebrow and grinned, "Maybe," he replied as he did something and Ashlyn wasn't sure how, but she suddenly found herself lying on her back with Daly hovering over top of her in the middle of the bed. Before Ashlyn could say anything however Daly kissed her on the lips, successfully distracting her from her question. After a while, Daly moved to kissing her neck and then moved very slowly down her body which had become sensitive to every single one of his touches.
