The moon shone with an intensity that it had never held before, everything seemed to glow. As they walked along the deserted path, a sense of calm and joy came over him as never before. He looked down at his hand, entwined with that of his love. His gaze followed up her pale arm and up to her face. She was glowing, too, but it wasn't from the moonlight. He looked into her eyes, whose color and light was only rivaled by the emerald which now resided on a certain finger. She looked at him and bit her lip, looking away shyly. "What?" she asked. "Nothing." he replied, "Just looking at how beautiful you are." "Oh, you…" she giggled as she playfully swatted his arm. He just laughed and pulled her closer to him. She sighed into his chest and asked "When we were kids, did you ever think that we'd end up together? I mean, seriously?" "Seriously? No." At her shocked expression, he laughed again and said "No. I never seriously thought we would. I hoped, though. I hoped and prayed everyday that some day you'd see me as more than a nerd, or a friend. So, no, I never thought I'd end up here with you, but I hoped we would. Does that count?" At this explanation she just sighed again and nodded. "I didn't either," she said suddenly after about a minute of silence. "I…hoped….too…but. Between Betty Quinlan, April, and your love of science I never knew that I even registered on the radar in that big brain of yours. Now I know how wrong I was then, but you have no idea how hurt I was when I found those pictures of Betty in your desk." At this he snorted and looked a little guilty, and she pulled away to look him in the eyes. "And I KNOW those weren't for your girl eating plant!" she continued, "that's what the pictures of me were for. I know I'm right, so don't even try to worm your way out of THAT one. But then on mars….I was so happy. You have no idea…." "I love you, Cindy," he said. Then in the moonlight, in the park, on this perfect night she snaked her arms around his neck and gave him the kiss of his life……
……. 14 year old Jimmy Neutron awoke with a start. He looked around and was relieved to find he was in his room, with only Goddard. He got out of bed and looked out the window across the street to find the lights on in Cindy's room. He could see her laying on her bed reading, bopping her head along with the music on her radio. He stared at her for a while, remembering how she had appeared in his dream, and turned away from the window. "No way, Goddard. That would never happen" he whispered sadly, shaking his head in sadness and going back to sleep.
AN: Okay, I don't own Jimmy Neutron. I own the DVD. And a Jimmy pillow from sears, but not the series. This was my first time writing fan fic, so be nice! Constructive criticism ok! PLEASE REVIEW! And if anyone can tell me how to do italics and bold, I'd really appreciate it!
