Summary: With the secrets emerging over the summer, Harry and Draco along with their friends and family are looking forward to a new school year. Draco is, of course, Head Boy, while Hermione is Head Girl. With Dumbledore gone, they plan to unite the Houses. With multiple inter-house relationships, they plan to lead by example. Not only does Draco have Seventh Year to survive, but he is also married and going to be a parent soon.

A/N: This is the sequel to Can you keep a secret, I highly recommend reading that first otherwise this story will make no sense. Also, like its predecessor, the title comes from a song by a Japanese artist. In this case, One Ok Rock. It's a beautiful song and it's also in English. Also, I thought I posted this already, my apologies.

Chapter 1- Final September Ride

September 1, 1997

Harry was expected to give birth sometime next month and he pouted that both Draco and Hermione agreed that he best sit out the train ride this time.

Andromeda and Remus both agreed with them about this, to his annoyance. But given that he was in the ambiguous area between Sixth and Seventh year, he had agreed… reluctantly. Due to his health and his pregnancy, Andromeda was insisting he wait until he had his daughter before taking his exams. He was welcome to self-study until she cleared him.

Given that he was likely going to be stuck in St Mungo's for three days after he delivered his daughter and would need between three-four weeks to heal properly. It could be worse, if he was a muggle woman, it would take closer to six weeks.

Draco and Hermione stayed until the last possible moment; Draco refused to arrive after or at the same time as Weasleys. Even if he was on much better terms with them than he had been in previous years. Hermione agreed that as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively, they had to be early to set a good example as well as welcome the First Years.

The train left at eleven, so just five past ten, Harry reluctantly bid goodbye to his bonded and his best friend/surrogate sister.

Draco snogged him breathless, "I will be missing you both every minute, and I promise to meet you in the Great Hall for dinner."

Hermione hugged and winked at him as well.

Then they both flooed to Platform Nine-and-Three-Quarter's, King's Cross.

Draco was excitedly greeted by Blaise, who had resumed the Hogwarts' shopping and final summer holiday traditions of his adopted family, the Goyles. Draco understood and approved, after all, that his poor friend had seemed very depressed surrounded by all the happy horny couples. Hermione wasn't always the best company; she did try, and Blaise was perfectly polite. They were set to be godparents to Iris together, but it wasn't quite the same.

Theo had a smug look and George was looking happier than ever. It was Theo's last year, Ned's third, and Gracie's first. While they too had the option of Theo flooing home every night, George had chosen to move into a couple's apartment for the year. It would give him some ability to look after Gracie without hovering too much as if he would have much time for it given that he was to start his potions apprenticeship tomorrow.

Instead of sitting the usual N.E.W.T. Potions lessons, Theo and Draco were allowed to floo to Merrivale to have lessons at their proper level. They tested out of Potions over the summer after all. A surprising allowance from Headmaster Flitwick, one Draco was pleased about. Neither he nor Theo looked forward to sitting through another lesson with Slughorn…

Hermione gathered all of the Muggleborn and Muggle-raised First Years, drawing them in with a warm, very Weasley-welcome. A bit shocking to some; British persons weren't known for being physically affectionate with those they had just met. Draco was more reserved but no less welcoming.

"Welcome, I am Head Boy Draco Malfoy."

There was a tad bit of sniggering, but Draco chose to ignore it, he was an adult legally after all.

"For those of you raised out of the Wizarding World, some of our names and our societal norms may seem strange to you. For advice on how to navigate, I suggest speaking with our Head Girl Hermione Granger, she too was raised Muggle. This has had no impact on her academics, I had pre-Hogwarts tutoring and she exceeds me at many subjects."

"But not potions," Hermione teased, "I will never surpass you in that field."

"You haven't a natural talent for it, there may be things about yourself that you can't change: your name or where you were raised. Keep in mind, we are all here to learn. If you have differences with someone, talk it out. There is no need to waste time here with detentions and harsh words. Who knows, the person you loathe today might turn out to be your soulmate." Draco said magnanimously.

Hermione tried not to chuckle again at his behaviour, "What my compatriot means is, if you have difficulty with someone, come talk to us. It might be something that was just a misunderstanding. You can learn from each other; backgrounds may help you elsewhere, but here at Hogwarts, you all have the same opportunities. It is all how you use it that matters."

With that said, Hermione began assigning groups of four to empty compartments.

Draco wasn't all that surprised when Gracie, Mal's brother Mark and a pretty girl who had appeared with Dean Thomas were all paired up.

Dean and Theo had a rivalry similar to his and Hermione's, but with less vicious words having been exchanged. It would be curious just how close their sisters ended up…

Theo's bare dress shirt wasn't unexpected, after all, Draco had already been sent an excited note by Blaise. His best friend thanked him for the recommendation as his replacement, but Draco hadn't the heart to tell him that he had been just as supportive of Blaise as the Seventh Year Boy's Slytherin Prefect as he had been of Theo.

Not that Draco was going to throw Theo out of the Heads' Carriage, he was happy that Hermione didn't complain about a non-prefect sitting with them.

Dean Thomas was Gryffindor's replacement boys' prefect, Ron had given up his badge. Whether it was voluntary or not mattered little. It was being proudly worn by someone who deserved it; Dean was the highest marks out of Gryffindor's boys in their year. It was an honour that was late, but Draco had no doubt that he would do his House just as much honour as Hermione had since she became a prefect. He wasn't as familiar with her replacement Seventh Year Gryffindor's girl prefect Faye Dunbar.

Hermione asked all the prefects to introduce themselves; as usual, there were eight Fifth Year prefects and two new Seventh Year prefects to replace the Head Boy and Head Girl.

It was the third year there had been a Slytherin Head Boy; last year was the reign of the 'Lazy Prefect' and before that was Adrian Pucey. Draco was determined to prove he was worthy of Adrian's mantle; it didn't matter all that much that his imprisoned father had been Head Boy. After all, he hadn't really spoken to the man despite having attended his trial for his father's part in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries.

With a daughter of his own soon-to-be-born, Draco couldn't understand why Lucius Malfoy would have joined the ranks of the Dark Lord willingly. Draco rubbed his own left forearm a bit absently…

When Hermione wandlessly and silently hexed him, Draco stiffened.

The other prefects eyed Draco suspiciously, he sighed and rolled up his sleeves without a hint of self-consciousness. Draco didn't miss the sharp eyes of more than a few Ravenclaws, the suspicious looks from the Gryffindors, and the concerned glances from Hufflepuffs.

Luna rolled her eyes, "Seriously, as if Harry Potter would be with a Death Eater. That is ridiculous, is it not?"

Since Luna was his cousin, he knew that she wasn't serious. Draco had been a Death Eater, reluctantly, of course. Harry had through power that Draco hadn't analysed yet, freed him. A gift that Draco would never take for granted.

Blaise already knew that Draco had been Marked; but was grateful he couldn't be punished for not joining freely.

They went over prefect expectations, reminded them to submit club, class, and quidditch schedules as soon as possible so that Hermione could create prefect assignments for all of them. Hermione had volunteered since going through seventeen sets of timestables was not Draco's idea of a well-spent evening.

Given their intent to make Inter-House friendships, they would make sure that partners were not limited to their own house. Draco trusted Hermione to pair up the right people and make sure that it worked around a student's other responsibilities.

They released their prefects after a reminder that they were responsible for giving the First Years a good example and that they were to make sure that there was no bullying or misbehaviour between the Houses.

Without someone like Umbridge around, Draco planned to ensure that every student was treated fairly.

Draco spent what was left of the meeting observing the interactions between his prefects as they introduced themselves in smaller groups and mingled.

They also made arrangements for a pair of prefects to walk through the train every fifteen minutes.

Draco hoped that his budding friendship with Hermione rubbed off, aside from clubs and quidditch, as he hoped to have inter-house prefect pairings for rounds. He had noticed that his distant cousin Mal Prewett was interested in Hermione and that the new Head Girl was not averse to the attention. He had chosen to pair her off with Mal and shocked everyone by announcing his rounds partner as Luna Lovegood of all people.

Harry was bored.

He wasn't flooing to Hogwarts until three to give himself time to adjust before he had to face the other students in the Great Hall.

Draco had supervised moving their things to Hogwarts already where Draco had claimed the Slytherin Head Boy's apartment.

Remus assured Harry that a nursery had been set up and that if he didn't like it, there was time for Draco to 'fix it'.

Since it was probably a copy of their nursery at Ivy Hall, Harry didn't really think he'd want to change anything, but the assurance had helped relax him.

Snape wasn't teaching potions, which just felt odd. Apparently, some wizard who taught his parents named Slughorn was teaching the First through Fourth Years, while the creator of the Wolfsbane Potion, Damocles was teaching the Fifth through Seventh Years.

There had been a serious restructuring of the staff and curriculum over the summer with both Luna and Neville's gran interviewing staff with Headmaster Flitwick.

It was interesting how Luna found the time…

Since Harry was mostly being tutored, it was debatable if he would return to classes or if he would just test out of certain subjects. Eventually, Remus and Snape agreed that Harry could sit his NEWT exam for Defence and do quite well. Between the DA, most of the year with Snape teaching, and a few spells he learned from Sirius, he was definitely at NEWT level.

Draco, Hermione, Luna, Mal, and Colin shared a carriage with Blaise.

They were surprised to find Harry seated at Slytherin table waiting for them.

Draco greeted Harry with a kiss, before he was seated.

Hermione and Luna walked over to hug Harry before returning to their respective House tables.

Theo's sister was a Ravenclaw, as were Dean's sister Dana and Mal's brother Mark.

Other than that, no one really paid attention to the Sorting.

Headmaster Flitwick rose, "My name is Philip Gorlois Flitwick, I prefer Filius. You are welcome to address me as Headmaster Filius or Headmaster Flitwick. As you can see, we have a large number of new staff."

Their new headmaster introduced the new staff quickly including what years and classes they would teach.

Once he reached the last name, he apologized for the lateness of the hour, welcoming them once more to Hogwarts before inviting them to eat.

Harry was starving and was more than a little excited to dig into his meal.

Draco was smug and was more than willing to use his authority as Head Boy and Prince of Slytherin to demand that he be handed a plate, platter, tureen, or jug of anything Harry fancied.

Harry ended up curling into Draco's side with a yawn.

Soon after, they were heading to Slytherin, where Harry was tucked into bed.

Draco slipped off to attend the House meeting.

Slughorn bowed respectfully, "Slytherin, your Prince and Head Boy, Draco Malfoy."

"Good evening, everyone, I would like to welcome the first years and the returning students. As Professor Slughorn no doubt reminded you, Slytherin is a house of proud traditions. We have long been called a dark or evil House, while the path of power can lead unscrupulous people down dangerous paths, just because one is gifted at Dark Magic does not make one evil. My mentor's bonded uses her gift to remove curses from Dark Artefacts and my aunt is a healer."

"What aunt?" Pansy sulked.

"My aunt Andromeda, Professor Tonks' mother. Now, her disownment has been reversed and she is once more seen as the pride of the House of Black." Draco said nonchalantly.

There was some whispering, but Draco was confident that the Dark Lord's rescindment of his capture order of his Harry that families loyal to the Dark Lord wouldn't dare disobey.

His business with Slytherin House completed for the evening, Draco returned to his apartment to join Harry for the evening.
