Desmond held a nearly empty bottle of coffee as he watched Rebecca. He had not had a decent meal in too long, but it was nice to at least finally have a decent beverage. Rebecca had finished setting up the machine, and was now pecking away at her keyboard programming it for the upcoming adventure. He had been silent during breakfast. He decided to make conversation now.
"So what is this 'Connector'?"
"It has something to do with the satellite. I actually wondered about this myself...Normally you have to hold an Apple of Eden to be in control of it. It sounds like they're going to use this artifact to control it remotely."
"Do they...have it?"
"Sounds like it. We're not sure though. Whether they have it or not, the more we know about it, the better. Hold on, Desmond. I need to concentrate..."
Keys clicked. Several seconds passed.
"...there! You should be good to go! Just have a seat!"
He chugged the rest of the coffee, put down the bottle, and approached. Back to the eighteenth century.
He rested his rump on the familiar red cushion. Even after absorbing Ezio's skills through the bleeding effect, he still seemed most useful for his memories. How ironic.
"Now," Rebecca said. "If Élise really was Gustave's mother, I should be able to get you back into her body nice and easy!"
