My Unhidden Love
I love him,
He knows.
I try to hide it,
It shows.
I stare at him,
He stares back.
I think it means something,
But his gaze lacks.
It lacks love, it lacks care,
It lacks things I thought were there.
He was sweet; He's now a liar,
He's losing friends while playing with fire.
He thinks he's the same,
But he's changed.
He'll do anything to be cool,
But ends up looking like a fool.
Can't he see,
What he does to me?
He should open his eyes,
And get rid of all the lies.
Only the ones who truly care,
Can see there's some tenderness still there.
I'll learn to accept his new life,
While I gently pick up a knife.
Will he look up and see,
In time to save me?
