Several years had passed, and Scarlet was still considered the runt. She had went through a growth spurt recently, growing almost two feet. Her sisters were still a little taller than her. Scarlet had gained weight - she weighed about fifty pounds now, which was great for her age, considering she was the runt of the litter.
Her sisters were the same group of jerks, unfortunately for Scarlet.
It started out as a normal day in Fraggle Cave. Scarlet sat beside the swimming hole, still restricted from swimming.
"Scarlet! Baby, come home," her mother told her.
"Mom, I'm not your baby anymore. I'm nine. It's not too long before I get my job, ya' know?" Scarlet snickered.
"The Rock Fraggles will attack us, and I don't want you in the middle of it," Ruby explained as she dragged Scarlet home.
"Fine," Scarlet groaned.
A few hours later, the cries of a Fraggle echoed throughout Fraggle Cave. Blue had been prepared, already in his army uniform and ready to go into combat with the Rock Fraggles. Ruby kissed him goodbye. Ruby was also prepared. If a female Fraggle's husband died in combat, she had to fight in his place. If she died in combat, her children must fight in her place. Scarlet's sisters were ready in case Ruby needed them. Scarlet sat on her bed and pouted.
An hour or so after Blue went out, Ruby heard his wail of death. She went out.
The girls heard Ruby scream and fall to the floor. Cornflower went out. Then Violet. Then Sunny. Then Luna.
Scarlet had heard Luna's screech, and knew she had to fight. "I guess I have lived a full nine years," she thought as she went out.
"What're you doing here?" a Rock Fraggle asked Scarlet as he pointed his arrow at her.
"Fighting." Scarlet tackled him and killed him with his own weapon. She did the same thing with the rest of the troop.
She sat in the empty cave, looking at her blood-streaked yellow skin, wondering what she should do. Scarlet looked at a tunnel.
"Well, here's to Fraggle Cave," she muttered as she ran down to the tunnel.
After a few hours, Scarlet was tired and dehydrated. She sat in the tunnel and looked up. She screamed.
Suddenly, her world went dark. Scarlet didn't realize she had been struck of the head by a falling rock, but she knew she needed to get to a doctor.
Oh, wait, Scarlet thought. I'm nowhere near Fraggle Cave. She then went unconscious.
Scarlet's unconscious body was dragged out of the wreckage. Her body was scarred with bruises and scars. Scarlet realized she was half-conscious. She could see a little, but her vision was blurry. Her body was racked with pain. Her body had went numb, and it was still that way. She heard a voice, maybe the one who drug her out from under the rock. The voice was incomprehensible, but only to Scarlet.
"It's gonna be alright, little creature," Drake-El cooed, "I'll take you home."
