A large man sat in what seemed to be a throne, the lighting above him casting a shadow over his whole body presenting only a silhouette. Kneeling before him was a woman with her head bowed.
Fling. The mysterious silhouette in the throne flicked a ring in the air and caught it. It's shine could be seen through the shade. With one arm rested on the arm of the chair, the man tapped his finger in rhythm with his ring. Fling. Once more he flung the ring into the air and let it fall into his grasp.
The man finally spoke, this time choosing to spin and slide the ring through his fingers. "What do you have for me?" His voice was a deep baritone.
The woman lifted her head with a mischievous smile. "I think you'll be happy to know we're one step closer to finding the Phoenix Tooth!"
A grin stretched across the man's face, his white teeth being the only thing visible. "That is great news Jasmine! The power will soon be ours!"
The woman stood and chuckled. "You've been working hard to obtain this artifact. I'm sure it will be very satisfying to finally be able to wield it."
"We, have worked hard to obtain it. One might say it's been our life work, no?" He responded.
The silhouette stopped fiddling with his ring and let out a chuckle. A chuckle that grew into a full cackle.
"It's funny don't you think? Funny how crazy it is that only one man discovered the Phoenix Tooth but nobody knows what happened to him. They only know who it was and that the Phoenix Tooth is out there somewhere. Oh Holly! Ya damn fool!" He exclaimed.
Prologue
The town of Vibora.
A busy day filled with joy and entertainment in Vibora. It was the day of a traditional festival, mainly hosted by Chariot Wing. All different kinds of people filled the streets. Vendors lined the corners and all sorts of fun could be found around. At one particular souvenir vendor stood a young man with spiky gray hair.
The young man with gray spiky hair's name is Furo.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I'm not selling any rice crackers!" The vendor stood with his arms crossed and a frown apparent on is face.
"Well, how about meat? If you don't have anything sweet do you have any meat? Hey, that rhymed.." Furo chuckled at his own comment.
"No! I don't have any food! This is a souvenir vendor! I mainly sell accessories. There is no food here!" His vendor stand was covered with all types of souvenirs. From banners to necklaces, to bracelets, to earrings, to even tags and stickers. If one simply looked they could see there was no food there. Not even any signs of cooking.
"Ah whatever! You don't gotta yell about it... How was I supposed to know?" Furo turned and began to walk away while the vendor yelled from behind, "Does it look like I have any food here ya damn idiot!"
"Hmmm..." The gray-haired boy looked around for something to do. He was actually pretty hungry but he was having a hard time finding a food vendor.
He dug his hands in his pockets and began walking but froze in his tracks when he realized something. Something terrible. His smile slowly turned into a terrible frown.
"I have like no money!" His jaw dropped as he pulled his hands out and realized they were empty except for 200 Jewels crumbled up into a ball. He pouted and stood in his own sorrow.
The atmosphere of the town was great. Children ran around and laughed while adults enjoyed more mature activities at bars and adult games. Beautiful decorations covered the buildings and confetti littered the pavement. People hung flags of Chariot Wing's emblem. Which was quite literally an abstract chariot with wings sprouting from it. The day was perfect. It was as if nothing could ruin it.

This will take place in an AU so canon characters will not exist in this world. It will also take place in the future of the original story. X873 to be exact.
