Warm Meeting from the Cold Warrior
Jaune and Sun are doing another day of combat training against each other while Raven and some other warriors, only this time they are using each other's weapons though it would appear that the two Guardian of Gold Beacon are having trouble.
"Okay, I think I got the stick part down." Jaune said.
"I hope so, it feels so weird fighting these that don't snap into nun-chucks." Sun commented, looking at the sword and shield.
"This is why we're doing this. You need to learn on being able to adaptable in any situations such as using different tools you can grab to use in a fight." Raven explained.
"Since you two have already gotten use fighting with your own representatives' weapons for the past few months, it's time to see how you do with different questions." Blake added
"And so far, you two are being extra silly with how you're smacking yourselves." Nora laughed.
"Oh, oh, you won't be laughing like that when we show you what we can do." Sun smirked, pointing the hilt at Nora, only for it to open up into its shield mode.
"I think I would have gotten myself a blackeye if I didn't have my aura." Jaune stated and rubbing his eye a little.
"Try being a little scared of having your tail cut off." Sun admitted.
"Enough of the talking, continue training now!" Raven demanded.
Jaune held the red staff a little tightly before charging at Sun to attack doing his best to land some blows on his best friend while Sun is parrying them with the sword, even using the sheath as another sword pushing his blonde friend back.
"Try using the staff for the length, to get some distance from your opponent." Sun helped Jaune a little while still attacking.
Jaune took his words in practice as he jumps back and starting to swing the red staff in the best way he can do, even though he is not much of the same strong fighter as Sun, he does have the more smart in his mind and even remembered seeing Sun train with a staff back in their own home.
"(Nice one, now let see what I can do with your weapons.)" Sun thought impressed of how Jaune is doing.
Sun duck down in a limbo style sliding on his knees to the ground making his way to his best friend as he put the sword back in the sheath, he jumps at Jaune for a drop kick to the head though the Arc boy dodges at to his right and swinging his staff to attack again.
"Don't think so!" Sun smirked as he has the sheath to pop up onto shield to get away, then smack Jaune on the face knocking him down.
"Ha! Feel the awesomeness of the Shield-Sword!" Sun cheered a little.
"Let see how you like this!" Jaune quickly moved the staff on the legs to make Sun fall on the ground.
"Got you now!" Jaune jumped back up with the staff above his head.
Jaune threw the staff down to smack him on the head only to see the red staff is half of the length because the other half came off, this gave Sun the chance to knock him down again with a kick to the stomach and jump back on his feet with the sword in front of him.
"Gottcha!" Sun laughed only to be hit on the face from the accident of making the sheath open again.
"Do you think we should stop this?" Yang asked, trying to hold back her laughing.
"There's still plenty of time until training day is done." Raven said as she looks at the time on her Scroll.
"Okay, I think you should try using the sword and shield as separate things now." Jaune suggested at his monkey.
"I'll try, but it's still weird to me." Sun pulled the sword out of the sheath.
Jaune quickly pick up the other half of the red staff thinking he could use them as fighting sticks as he clashes against the sword, but they snap off into nun-chucks with one smacked on his face, but the fight training continues as the two are starting to get a little better with using each other's weapons.
Even so Jaune is still struggling with the nun-chuck as they are like too moving around more and crazy almost like Sun.
Many minutes later, Sun and Jaune have finish their combat training.
"Man, I don't know if I'll ever get use to fighting with a sword and shield." Sun stated.
"Yeah, your staff is crazy to use with having to decide on using the staff then nun-chuck and back to the first one, how do you get use to something like this?" Jaune asked.
"Just practice and having a good time." Sun answered with a grin.
"Don't go having that around thinking this exercise is done." Raven walked up to the duo with the others.
"We're going to be doing this exercise for the next three weeks with not just practicing on each other's weapon, but on other weapons too so you can be prepared." Raven explained.
"I hope it's not something confusing." Jaune said.
"Oh, I see you are done with training right now." A girl said hopping toward him.
"Penny, glad to see you again!" Pyrrha smiled.
"Another friend we haven't met?" Sun asked feeling excited to meet a few faces.
"Salutation, Guardians of Gold Beacon, my name is Penny Polendina and I am also the Maiden Candidate of the Winter Maiden." Penny greeted with a friendly.
Penny is a young woman with rather curly orange hair that come down to her chin with a small cowlick on top, and she wears a pink bow on the back of her head. She also has bright green eyes, light skin, and freckles. She wears an off white old-fashioned styled off the shoulder blouse with frill detailed trim and frill flared cuffs that half covers her hands alongside copper button detailing on the lower parts of her sleeves. She also sports a short gray pinafore dress with golden trim on the hem alongside four light green stalagmite styled stripes on the lower half of the dress, two on the front and two on the back, accompanied by two matching-colored circles above the tips that had a stripe that ran around her waistline, with golden outlines, and a detachable black and light green collar. She also wore a pair of black thigh-high leg pieces that seemingly were attached to black shoes. The leg pieces had a single green stripe up the sides that appeared to light up. She also wears a silver backpack. Breasts sizes: F-cup.
"Well, as you already know, I'm Sun Wukong and this here is my best friend and best man." Sun smirked.
"Jaune Arc, nice to meet you." Jaune greeted with a handshake.
"Where the Hell have you been, Penny? You missed out on meeting these guys and see how these are getting better and better from the training." Yang said.
"I would have if I could've recovered from the injury, I suffered from a mission a few days before their arrivally." Penny reminded of her what she in recovery.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." Yang scratched the back of her head forgetting about that part.
"It's great to see that you are doing good, Penny." Ren smiled as her friend.
"If you're here, then that mean Winter is still kicking well." Raven guessed.
"Oh yes, Winter is doing very well back at our home." Penny answered with a bright smile.
"Winter, is she the kind of woman who gives people the cold shoulder like a showoff?" Sun joked a little.
"She can be like that when she gets serious upon her duty, but she is very friendly toward others with a caring heart." Penny assured.
"Yeah, only to you mostly." Raven muttered with her arms crossed under her breasts.
"I also got a message from Winter for the Guardians too." Penny mentioned.
"A message, did we do something to upset her?" Jaune asked worry.
"Oh no, it's nothing like that even though she did question whether or not you two really were the best case to help protect the city." Penny recalled what this Winter woman said.
"Ouch." Sun flinched a bit.
"But she has heard about how you boys have been doing great like how you fought off Neo with a horde of Grimm." Penny mentioned.
"When push comes to show, we always come out on top." Sun smirked.
"Maybe not exactly on top, but we really do our best to help protect Golden Beacon like we promise to Ozpin." Jaune added.
"That's wonderful to hear!" Penny smiled.
"Winter sent me to meet you boys in person as her home, she decided that it's time for you to meet another Maiden since you have already gotten to know Cinder and Raven." Penny explained of why Winter wants to see them.
"Well, I sure gotten to know Raven very well." Jaune chuckled, scratching the back of his head.
"Idiot." Raven looked away with her cheeks blushing like crazy and Yang is a little curious about this.
"Well, I wouldn't mind meeting another Maiden of the seasons." Sun shrugged.
"When does she want us to meet her?" Jaune asked.
"Tomorrow at 2pm, I will come to pick you both up from your home and take you to her." Penny answered.
"Okay, tell her we'll be looking forward to the meeting." Sun said.
"Will do, until we meet again!" Penny nodded and walked away.
"Wow! You're actually going to meet the Winter Maiden next, that is so cool, and I also mean that in a literal means!" Nora smiled, feeling happy for the two.
"I just hope we can make a good enough impression on her; I hate to have a Maiden not willing to give us a hand in a dangerous situation." Jaune worried.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we can have our ways on that woman and show her we're great buddies to have around." Sun moved his arm around Jaune's neck, believing everything will work out.
"I wouldn't be so sure; Winter can be hard to please and can be really strict like an old nanny." Yang warned.
"But she is also a great warrior like many of us, one of the few bests in that along with the other Maidens and other warriors." Blake stated.
"Being the Winter Maiden, her power involves the cold of season itself and can do more with it as she is also quite the combat specialist." Pyrrha explained.
"She also like to follow rules most of the time." Ren added.
"More like a stupid suck up for the rules." Nora rolled her eyes.
"Are you still mad at her about that time years ago?" Ren asked.
"How could I not? She made me wear her stupid idea of clothing when I was working with her on a mission, it colorless and tight up to my butt and hard on my boobs!" Nora complained.
Hearing the complaints of Nora on her body and what the suit did to her causes Jaune's face to blush up of the sudden thoughts of seeing her like that and Raven as well, he quickly shook the thought out of his mind and calm himself down though didn't realize that Raven saw the blushing with a slight grin.
"Well, you two best be ready for when you go see Winter because she won't hold herself back you show any lacking of manners and strength." Blake warned.
"But if she does get a little chilly, in an anger kind of way, but steady your will and show that you won't back down from any danger." Pyrrha advised to Jaune.
"Thanks, something tells me we're gonna need that." Jaune thanked making Pyrrha blush a little.
"(By God, I want her right now!)" Jaune thought gulped, feeling the little inner perv going up though kept himself calm.
"Oh yeah, Penny mentioned something about being a Maiden Candidate. What did she mean by that?" Jaune asked.
"I think it would be best to hear this from Winter but let just say it's like saving a life insecure for emergency." Raven hinted.
Sun and Jaune were confused at this but decided to go along with this and go see the Winter Maiden themselves.
"Winter the Winter Maiden, it's like her parents were expecting her to be the Winter Maiden." Sun joked and Yang laughs.
(The Next Day)
Jaune and Sun are following Penny to the home of hers and Winter, through the streets of the city while they are greeted by some of the people seeing them, then they started to notice something odd in their new surroundings.
"Does everything look… snowy just now?" Sun asked, seeing little snow around them.
"Yeah, I'm seeing this too and it the temperature just drop somewhat?" Jaune noticed that too, noticing a cold breath from his mouth.
"That is because Winter is doing her training with her Winter power, and thus you have seen the power of the Winter Maiden." Penny explained causing the boys to become shocked.
They see the house to be a large white mansion with snow gently falling even though it's not even the season of winter itself as it's only months away from now.
"Wow!" Jaune and Sun said in union.
"Come, Winter should be in the back." Penny gestured the boys to follow her.
The three walks through the mansion heading towards the backyard with a young woman is seen creating a giant snow wave, moving around and up in the air by her command.
"Winter! I have brought the Guardians as you asked." Penny called out.
"Thank you, Penny." The woman now known as Winter responded and place the snow pile down, she turns around seeing the two boys.
Winter is a tall and fair-skinned young woman with slate-blue eyes, dark eyebrows, and long white hair. The latter of which tied back in a bun that is high on the left side of the back of her head, along with bangs along right side of her face and a small, curled lock of hair down the left just above her shoulder. She wears a white long-sleeved coat with a single dark blue clasp around the center waist holding it shut alongside a red jeweled brooch on the collar. The coat's length runs down to her ankles and the sleeves are split from shoulder to elbow. She wears a white pleated sleeveless blouse with a dark blue waistcoat. A pair of white trousers with dark blue garters alongside a pair of gray thigh boots with black detailing around the knees. She also wears a pair of black forearm length gloves with gray trimmed cuffs. Breasts sizes: G-cup.
"Hello guardians, my name is Winter Schnee, and I am honor to meet you." Winter greeted.
"Hello." Jaune waved nervously as Sun has a shock expression on his face.
"Wow, now it looks like you are the embodiment of Winter in a 'cool' way." Sun punned.
"I see you also possess greater jokes than Yang." Winter commented.
"Still, thank you for coming to see me as requested." Winter thanked.
"Well, it's not like we can ignore a call from one of you Maidens. That would be bad for us if we didn't help out on the successors of the ones who created the first Guardian." Sun stated.
"Ah, I see you have already learned of that history." Winter impressed.
"Cinder and Elder Maria introduced us to the Lamp of Knowledge and the spirit, Jinn." Jaune mentioned.
"She was hot." Sun smirked.
"I see, now come with me. I wish to have some talk with you along with tea and sweets." Winter walked past them and go back inside with Penny following her.
"Holy shit, Sun! Doesn't she resemble someone we know back home?" Jaune gasped whispering to Sun.
"Dude, I saw it the moment she turned her face toward us and it's crazy that she looks just like…"
"Weiss!" Sun and Jaune said at the same time.
"Hold on, let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe it's just a coincidence that those two happen to look like each other, kind of." Jaune tried to convince himself of that.
"I don't know, Jaune. I think there's something more going on with this, probably more than we realize." Sun said.
The two boys decided to worry about that for now and just hurry to Winter and Penny for that tea, even though Sun doesn't really like tea.

Sun and Jaune have now met Winter as the Winter Maiden along with Penny being known as the Maiden Candidate which the two guardians will learn in the next chapter, and they may also find out something shocking of what they thought of Winter upon first glance.
