Olivia stood on the roof of the 1-6 precinct thinking about the case they had just solved, a man had kidnapped twin sisters killing their mother right in front of their faces, then raping each sister multiple times making the other watch when it wasn't her turn. The rapist was the doctor of the twins and said that he couldn't control himself that he was born that way… in which case hit very close to home for Olivia, and now here she was standing in the rain allowing it to wash away her dreadful memories of her past cases.
"Liv" John's voice was soft as he came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"John…" Olivia said turning around in his arms and burying her head in his chest. "I can't stop thinking about this case" John could barely hear Olivia due to the fact her voice was muffled in his clothing.
"Why?" John said knowing what Olivia needed right now was just to talk.
"I can't stop thinking about what Simon said"
"About what?"
"He said it wasn't his fault… he said that he was born that way… do you really think people are born that way?"
"Liv… look at me" John said making her look him in the eye "look at you… you are an amazing person with a good heart, you love children and your job, you grew up to be a wonderful beautiful person and that has nothing to do with who your father was."
"I'm just so scared… I don't know what I'm passing on."
"Liv this child is going to be fine… she's going to be loved, happy and we will do anything for her, she's going to grow up to be just like her mother… it has nothing to do with her genes but how she is going to be raised and with you as her mother this child will be the most wonderful human being in the world" John assured Olivia giving her a tender kiss on the lips.
"and with you as her father, she'll be able to smell a conspiracy at a 10 year olds lemonade stand" Olivia smiled putting her hand on her stomach, John doing the same put his hand on her hand.
"Now come on, let's get inside before you get sick" John said taking Olivia's hand leading her to the squad room.
