Author's note.
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first 'My Life as a Teenage Robot' fanfic and a first one at that. This is basically a large 'What if' scenario. Basically, what if XJ9 aka Jenny Wakeman was built in Japan as apposed to the U.S.A. As we saw in 'Samurai Vac' (or whatever that episode was called) the people of Japan even gave her a bouquet of flowers and even a belt. But, then again, the Japanese do love robots. Also, the design for THIS XJ9 is curtesy of deviantart user zackmolis and the idea for the first chapter is curtesy of Gojilord634. So thanks to both of you. Chapter 1
Tokyo, Japan.
In the busy streets of the land of the rising sun, we see a girl that appeared to be 16-yrs-old. She had red hair tied into pigtails and blue eyes. She wore purple hair ties and wore a Japanese school girl uniform that highlighted with purple and pink. He skirt was plad patterned purple and pink and she wore black stockings with maroon shoes.
"Nice to be out of the lab for a change", she said. "And people not asking me for autographs". As she continued to walk down the streets, she found tranquility in the peace that this brought.
"Oh come on!" Shouted a voice. The girl then saw that two boys were annoyed at a vending machine. The first one was a teenager (most likely of about 15 or 16-yrs-old) with brown eyes and red hair that spiked up. The second one was much younger (probably about 8 or 9-yrs-old). Both were wearing uniforms of their respective school years.
"Come on you stupid machine", the oldest groaned. "WORK!".
"Great, we got cheated by a machine" said the youngest. The girl then walked over to them.
"Perhaps I can help" she said. She then smacked the vending machine with the back of her hand and two drinks came out.
"Whoa", said the youngest as the girl handed them the drinks. "That was so cool, thanks".
"Your welcome, uh, I never got your names" said said the girl.
"Oh, my names Banta", replied the oldest. "This is my younger brother, Tadashi".
"Hiya" said Tadashi.
"And you are?" Asked Banta.
"Jumika" replied the girl.
"Hey, I remember you", said Banta. "Aren't you that scientist's daughter?".
"Yeah, I am", answered Jumika. "This is also the first year she's letting me go to a public school".
"Well, if that's the case", said Banta. "I hope it's ours. 'Cause you are cute".
"Aw thanks" said Jumika with a blush.
"Why don't you come with us?", asked Tadashi. "There's an awesome place you need to see".
"Sure, I got time" said Jumika.
Later.
The three then got off a bus and they were now on a cliff looking over all of Tokyo.
"Wow, this is beautiful" said Jumika in awe.
"Our parents used to take us up here every summer when we were younger", said Banta. "We'd have a picnic and look out over the city. *sigh* at least when he's home".
"What do you mean?" Asked Jumika.
"Our father has a job that forces him to go overseas", answered Tadashi. "I mean, he does come over for the holidays and facetimes us on birthdays. But, we still miss him".
"What about you?" Asked Banta.
"I don't have a dad" answered Jumika. This shocked the boys.
"You don't?" Asked Tadashi. Jumika then pressed the centre of her ribbon and her appearance change. She now appeared more mechanical, he S king was now tinged a very light shade of pink and her hair was now purple. Banta and Tadashi gasped at this.
"I can't believe it", said Tadashi excitedly. "You're XJ9. You're XJ-". Banta then placed a hand over Tadashi's mouth.
"Will you be quiet", said Banta. "She's probably trying to get away from the paparazzi".
"Well, I best head back", said Jumika. "Mom'll be wondering where I am". She was about to leave when Banta placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I don't know if you get this much?", wondered Banta. "But, do you wanna be friends?". Jumika smiled.
"Of course I do", answered Jumika. "You wanna lift back home?".
"Yes please" the two boys said excitedly. Jumika then deployed her wings.
"Climb on" she said. The two boys then grabbed onto her wings and she flew off.
"This is so cooooooooooooooooooool!".
