Chapter 9: Thinking and Talking (Marinette's POV)
"Hey, Coran." Marinette says nervously outside his room.
"What, you here to remind me of what a disaster the Hospital show was?"
"No, well yes. But here's the thing Coran, I know Shiro asked you to take care of this all by yourself but I would like to help. After all, I bet we could impress Shiro if we worked together."
Coran turns and faces her. "Do you really think so? I mean…"
"Of course besides our second stop is a carnival type deal right? So that shouldn't be that hard, except getting there on the right date."
"Yeah, but I was thinking.."
"Coran, whenever people invite you to come at a certain time it is best to be on time. Otherwise you're just being downright rude to them. Especially if you have already agreed to that time." Marinette scolds Coran gently.
Honestly, what is going through that man's head to think showing up at a later date is okay? The show at the Hospital wasn't that disappointing, they were just unprepared since Coran put us on the spot by giving our lines and the outline for what he wanted us to do thirty minutes before going onto the stage!
"Marinette is right, Coran. Besides, wouldn't we be depriving that planet of hope if we didn't come on time?" Tikki asks Coran, while he strokes his moustache.
"Yes, I must not have been thinking straight. Then we should start heading towards Sandeia."
"Sandeia?"
"That's the planet we're supposed to visit, though I don't know much about. As it isn't a planet I've heard of back before you paladins came along and woke me and Allura up from our long slumber."
"Well then this should be fun. Just remember if you need any help, just ask me. As I have directed before."
Marinette steps out of Coran's room and sighs when she hears the door close.
"That went well." Tikki says.
She nods, yes it did. She would have thought that Coran would be more disappointed. But then again that goofball has always remained optimistic and himself, even if things get him down. Still, Shiro seems to be the most disappointed out of all of us. Considering he was the one who asked Coran to do such a task.
He did tell her about his decision after she agreed to do a Voltron Show Tour thing after much back and forth about how it was a good thing or a bad thing. Personally she still did not want to do this, since fighting the Galra is more important. But they could use a break from all the constant fighting, and the seriousness of this war.
So really there are good things about this and bad things.
Hopefully we do only a few shows and then it's back to kicking Galra butt. As, even though she knows they can't end this war in one night, it will be faster if they devote themselves to making sure the war will end sooner rather than later. As the Universe has waited ten thousand years for peace.
And they have all the people they have helped along the way to help, the Balmerans, the Valmeirans, the Arusians, the Puigs and many others.
Walking away, Marinette does think that spreading hope by personally visiting planets could bolster the Voltron Coalition, though after today's failure at the Hospital she doubts anyone from there is more entustiac to join the Voltron Coalition.
"You okay Marinette?"
"I'm fine Tikki, just thinking."
"Thinking about what?"
"About how this Voltron Show Tour thing is going to help us or hinder us." Marinette replies. As Ladybug in Paris she wouldn't have thought about doing some big event, as to be honest that seemed like being a glory hog. After all, her actions should speak louder than doing interviews or going to events. Which was the first reason she was against this idea and secondly it kind of wastes valuable time on promoting peace, instead of bringing it.
Though she accepted and we're doing our second show soon. So I can't back out now.
"Still going on about that? Marinette I'm sure this Voltron Tour will prove useful, otherwise Shiro would not have suggested it to you the day Pidge found her brother."
"I know Tikki, it's just hard not thinking about all the other things we could be doing.''
"It'll be great."
"I hope so."
Author's Note: Sorry for taking so long to get this chapter out. It's just I kinda knew but didn't really know which direction I was going to take the Voltron Show Arc. But I think I have a better vision of how I want this miniarc to play out(as I want to mupilte chapters based on the Voltron show and explore what it was like for each planet to have Voltron in their midst). Oh and also I am going to make the Team Arc just one arc and not split up into parts since it seems like it would be really short and I only have a few episodes in Season Three of Miraculous I want to with this storyline and the Voltron part is short. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter:)
