My Hero Academia Redux

What if there were more involved in adventures of Izuko Midoriya? What would change? And how different would it be from the story you know? (A Re-telling of My Hero Academia, so AU basically.) MANGA SPOILERS HERE! You have been warned.

1. The Beginning

Hello there, readers!

Welcome to My Hero Academia: Redux. What is this? Well, it's me rewriting My Hero Academia.. The best comparison I can make is DBZ and DBZ Abridged. The latter is a derivative of the former, however it does add new content and does things differently somewhat from the OG show, which I will do, don't worry about that.

I should mention, I'm do not think this story will be better than the original version (Well, maybe the last arc as of me writing this chapter, but that won't be for a while, if I make there)

I'm just doing this story for fun and just for me to cope with how a series I loved kind of went down the drain. And hopefully entertain you guys along the way. However, I will be trying here to make the best story I can, while adding new stuff, which you will see and hopefully enjoy.

Also, yes, I will be talking about spoilers from the manga, this is your first and only warning about this. I will discuss spoilers greatly in the ruminations at the end of each chapter if I need it to bring it up. So anime only people, turn back now and go read the manga, then come back here.

A superhuman society, where eighty percent of the population have some sort of extraordinary power, a quirk, it was a revolutionary time. It was a chaotic time.

When a new profession rose, pro-heroes brought peace and hope.

The streets became scenes from comics as heroes fought villains.

And there he was, the greatest hero of them all, the Symbol of Peace…All Might! No matter what, he always saves the day with a smile. No matter how desperate it is, he always saves everyone.

He makes me want to be a hero.

Unfortunately, I wasn't born with this quirk. But I promise myself I would not give up on my dream of being a hero. I promise myself I will achieve it!

I am Izuku Midoriya, and this is the story of how I became the greatest hero in history.

A loud crowd of people watch as a battle rages in their city. A huge villain is standing on a bridge with subway tracks on it, battling a hero on it. The Villain tries to hit the hero, but the hero is quick on her feet as she evades each of his attacks.

A green hair teenager, Izuku Midoriya, watches the battle from behind the cover of barriers that separate the people from going any closer to the battle.

"Woah! A giant villain attack!" Midoriya yells out, looking from the crowds to see the epic battle going on. The Villain is huge. The size of a truck wrecks havoc on a subway track on a bridge that stands above the city streets.

Midoriya wears a completely black school uniform with silver accents as he is on his way to school, but he stopped to watch the battle and takes some notes. He has his notebook out and is writing down the feats of the hero battling the Villain.

The young heroine is of average height, but that's where the normal parts of her ended. She has loud silver hair, matching with her sliver mini skirt and top with blue accents. Blue accents match with her blue eyes as well.

"It's Shining Diamond, The Diamond Hero!" one citizen cries out.

Shining Diamond circles around the Villain, trying to confuse him and look for the perfect moment to attack.

"Such a waste of a quirk." One citizen commented on the Villain battling it out.

"Yeah, with that kind of quirk, it could have put it into good use. Shame it was wasted on some thug."

"Yeah, but he is still really strong. You think the heroes can beat this thing?"

"Of course! Look, she's holding her own!"

The Villain keeps swinging his arms around, trying to hit Shining Diamond with no success. Her incredible agility made her impossible to hit for the bulky Villain as she side dashes from the giant's attack.

"Now watch close and watch this move of pure style! Dazzling Diamond Blast!" Shining Diamond arm turns into a solid diamond, which lets her shoots out a stream of smaller diamonds and fire at the giant. However, while the attack does cause minor annoyance for the Villain, it bounces off him with no visible damage.

Shining Diamond looks annoy at the Villain as her attack barely was an inconvenience for him.

"Anyone want to trade partners? The big guy isn't into my fabulous diamonds."

"I can lead a hand!"

A short man but muscular man begins to dash towards the Villain from the streets. He has a dark blue bodysuit with has a mask, with his belt, knee pads and shoes, all of which are wooden.

"KAMUI!" A group of young women cheer out for the hero, excited for what he'll do.

Kamui Woods activates his quirk, and his right arm begins to extend out in a wooden form and uses it to grab onto the tracks and pull himself up to it. He begins to run around the villain, waiting for the

"Everyone stay behind the barrier!" Death Arms said, Death Arms said, trying to keep the citizens behind the cover. He's a very tall hero with a cyan cardigan that exposes his lower torso, which shows off his muscular body. His outfit is held tight by a metal nut on each side of the cardigan. His pants are blue with a silver stripe going down them. Finally, the part that stands out the most is a large yellow headband that is yellow black, the same color as the massive wrist bands he wears.

While Kamui takes the Villain's attention, another hero is stealthily making his way towards the Villain from behind to launch a sneak attack.

The man had a relatively tall stature, and his apparel was reminiscent of that of a king. Sporting a long purple cloak with white fur trim at the most bottom edge, beneath the garment the loose sleeves of his tight-fitting tunic, the sleeves of which were cut off just at the forearm would move just the slightest bit with every step of his heavy metal boots. While the armor-like boots reached up to his knees, they encased the brown pants paired with them. The most noticeable things of his appearance was not the crown-like spikes protruding from the top of his head, nor was it the snake mask obscuring his true face, rather it was the pair of snakeheads stemming from his back, snaking over his shoulders and resting on either side of his head.

"Alright, Viper King. Time to save the day." Viper King whispers to himself proudly.

Viper King reaches the Villain's right foot without being noticed. Viper King smirks as he gets in close for an attack.

"Don't worry, Kamui, I got this covered!" Viper King yells out to Kamui.

"Viper King, what are you doing?!" Kamui yells out.

"Saving the day!" Viper King's quirk reveals two snakes coming out of both of his wrists.

"Go poison stream!" The snakes bite down into the ankle of the giant Villain, beginning to release their venom into the giant's foot.

"Errr!" The giant villain grunts in pain from the bite as it digs deep into his flesh. He looks behind at Viper King, ticked off at the hero.

"…oh." Viper King said fearfully, realizing the true size of this foe and knowing the Villain could stomp on him and kill him instantly. Before The Giant villain could kick Viper King away with the back on his foot, the snake hero hops away, dodging the attack, but he tumbles and rolls on the ground for a bit.

"I'm okay." Viper King said pathetically as he lies on the ground.

However, this distraction gives Kamui the chance to attack. Kamui jumps onto the nearby metal posts on the tracks and extends his arm to the Villain.

"I got him!" Kamui Woods yells out. Kamui's arm starts to grow longer. As his quirk allows him to generate wood from his body, many branches begin to come out of his arm, and smaller branches came of those branches as well.

"Pre-emptive Binding…Lacquered Chain Prison!"

"Canyon Cannon!" a giant woman begins to fly on in and delivers a mighty kick to the Villain, causing the giant Villain to fall off the subway tracks and onto the ground below, much to the surprise of everyone who has been watching the battle unfold.

The woman is as huge as a small skyscraper, and her outfit is just eye-catching. Mount Lady has a skin-tight purple and pale tan outfit with orange accents. Her mask is similarly purple, with two purple horns to contrast with her blond hair.

Mount Lady lands on the ground, standing up straight, looking at the defeated Villain. However, the paparazzi is focusing on something else, Mount Lady's behind.

The Paparazzi are lining up and taking photos of her, much to the shock of Midoriya,

"Money shot! Money shot! Money Shot!" they all say in unison.

"But-but…I was the one who was about to finish him." Kamui said, dejected, seeing that the giant heroine is getting more attention than him. However, she is going to suffer a similar fate.

Mount Lady looks back to the cameramen, bending over a bit to thrust her rear out for them.

"Mount Lady, a pleasure to make your ass-"

"You don't need to thank anyone but me and my glorious attack!" Viper King exclaims loudly from the subway tracks before jumping to the ground to meet the citizens who watched the battle, who surrounded the snake hero.

"Thanks to my venomous strikes, the giant girl was able to defeat the Villain! Without that poison, all would have been lost! But for me, Viper King saved the day!"

"Wow! You're so cool, Viper King!"

"Thanks, I know I am." Viper King smiles

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" Mount Lady says furiously.

"Welcome to my world." Kamui said.

As Viper King continues soaks up in the praise that people are giving him, when he sees Midoriya write intensely in his notebook.

"Hey, kid!" Viper King yells out, startling Midoriya.

"What-what?!" Midoriya said scared.

Viper King walks over to Midoriya and grabs his notebook. He takes out a pen and writes in the book.

"Hey, what are-"

Viper King hands the notebook back to Midoriya, "there you are, kid!"

Midoriya looks at his notebook, confused and baffled at Viper King's large signature written over his book, and he can only meekly say, "Um…thank you."

"Not to worry, small child." Viper King postures himself proudly. "Now excuse, I got to stop more evildoers. You go to school and learn stuff and whatever. VIPER KING AWAY!" Viper King runs off, ready to stop more criminals and look good for the cameras.

However, Midoriya realizes something after Viper King left, which he overlooked thanks to the battle.

"Oh no! I'm going to be late!" Midoriya sprints to his school. He didn't want to ruin his perfect attendance record.

Midoriya sits in his classroom. It's almost near the end of the day, as homeroom class begins to take in their final lesson of the day. The room is a bit brownish, with several windows on the side letting in the light.

"Before we wrap up for the day, it's important for all of you to start picking your high schools, be sure to pick them well." The teacher said sternly.

"Oh, who am I kidding? You all want to apply to that hero school." The teacher laughs.

The class begins to erupt into an explosion of cheering and excitement. But Midoriya is looking down at his desk, and he didn't have the confidence to speak up.

"Please, you think any of you losers can make it at UA? Don't make me laugh." A young man with messy blonde hair says, mocking his fellow classmates. His legs are on his desk, as he casually disrespects his classmates.

"What the hell, Bakugo? What makes you think you can make it?" One student yells out, furious.

"Dude, Bakugo is that strong! Like his quirk is so strong and cool. He has the quirk for the job."

"Exactly. And if all of you think you can beat me, then you about to feel a whole feeling of pain. Is there anyone else who's going to try out at UA? I need to know whose ass I'm going to kick." Bakugo smiles sadistically

Most of the students don't raise their hands; they recognize that they weren't strong enough to make it as heroes or even survive whatever Bakugo throws at them.

However, one hand is raised, albeit shaking nervously in the center of the class. Everyone turns to see who's hand is raised, which belongs to Midoriya, who's panicking as his whole class is staring at him.

All of the students look at Midoriya seriously for a moment, but then they burst out laughing at Midoriya, the notion of him actually making it into the hero course.

"But they allow quirkless people to apply. So, I have a shot." Midoriya says meekly.

However, they kept on laughing at Midoriya and his hope to be a hero. The laughing gets to Midoriya, who just sinks back into his chair, depressed.

Fortunately, The bell rings as the student begins to file out of the room, one at a time. Midoriya is packing up his stuff, and he begins to slide his notebook in when a hand slams on his desk, which shocks Midorirya. He looks up to see who's hand does it belong to, that being Bakugo. He and two of his friends stand in front of Midoriya's desk.

"Ah! Oh, hi Ka-chan! How are you?" Midoriya says fearfully.

Bakugo places his hand on Midoriya's right shoulder. For a moment, Midoriya thinks that maybe Bakugo would try to be friendly. But that changed when he felt Bakugo's hands warming up and burning through his uniform.

Midoriya cringes in pain as he feels the heat burning through his uniform and onto his skin.

"So you're stupid enough to apply to that hero school, even though you don't have a quirk?" Bakugo asks.

Midoriya nods fearfully, trying not to speak. Otherwise, he would just yell out in pain from the burning.

Bakugo laughs sadistically and says, "You quirkless weakling like you has the chance to be a hero?"

"Um…well…"

"Wow, Midoriya. You really want to look more like a loser than you usually do. There is no way they'll let you in." Bakugo's friend said

"But-."

"You have something to say, Deku?" Bakugo says, looking down at Midoriya with much anger invoice.

Midoriya is frozen in fear, unable to stand to his bully.

"Just what I thought." Bakugo smirks

"Yeah. You are a complete loser. You can't be seriously thinking about being a hero?"

"Well um, yes…" Midoriya says timidly.

"So, you think you can be a hero?" Bakugo grabs Midoriya's notebook and holds it up.

"Hey, give it back!" Midoriya cries out.

Bakugo, in response, uses his quirk and creating a mini-explosion in his hand, lighting the notebook on fire.

"Nooo!" Midoriya yells in fear.

Finally, Bakugo just tosses the notebook outside the window.

"NOOOO!" Midoriya sprints from his chair to grab his book, but he's too late as it falls from the second floor of his school.

"You should, a pathetic nerd like you cannot compare to people like me, who actually have a quirk. Someone with actual worth, unlike your pathetic existence." Bakugo says.

"Bakugo! Leave, Midoriya alone, you callous coward!" a feminine voice cries out.

Bakugo turns around to the door, and he sees a teenage girl stands at the entrance of the classroom, her hands placed on her waist, glaring at Bakugo.

The teenager is relatively tall for her age; her eyes are light blue, as well as her hair, which reaches past her shoulders, with also two bangs in front of her.

The two stare each other down, ready for the other to make a move or say something. Bakugo had many encounters with this woman before, but he always forgets the most important thing.

"Oh, it's you again…who are you again?"

"I have a name, Bakugo! Do you lack the basic respect to learning a person's name? Especially someone, you have known for three years!"

Bakugo looks at the girl, unamused at her sticking out for Midoriya. But it still draws a blank, "So you are…?"

"You cannot be serious?! I'm Yudaina! Don't you have the common courtesy to remember a person's name?!" Yudaina said furiously at Bakugo.

"Whatever. I got better things to do than be with you losers." Bakugo said coldly but with a sense of superiority.

"Hey, we aren't done yet!" Yudaina yells out, but Bakugo didn't care for her yelling. He thought he had better things to do.

Bakugo walks away with his friends, with Yudaina glaring at him. But Bakugo stops at the door and says, "And Deku…"

"Huh?" Midoriya said fearfully.

Bakugo turns his head and smiles cruelly, "You better not applied for that hero school."

Deku is frozen in fear when Bakugo said that, the words going straight through him. No matter how much he got used to Bakugo's bullying, Bakugo's words are also made it through him.

"Bakugo, don't you dare talk to Midoriya like that! Apologize to him, now!"

Bakugo shrugs, not caring for Yudaina's words, only leaving, seeing he had better things to do than talk to people he thought were beneath him.

Yudaina walks to Midoriya, worrying look for the young man.

"Are you okay, Midoriya?"

Midoriya sighs depressingly. "Yeah. I'm okay, Yudaina."

"Did Bakugo hurt you?" Yudaina said, worried for Midoriya. She's all too aware of Bakugo's actions towards her friend. Although she tries her most to protect him, it's not always the case.

"I'm okay, Yudaina. Just a bit bruised up."

Yudaina glazes at Midoryia's right shoulder and sees the burn Bakugo left behind.

"Bruised up? Your shoulder is on fire!" Yudaina shouts.

"Oh, it's nothing." Midoriya is trying to shrug it off, but Yudaina isn't budging.

"Did Bakugo try to light you on fire again?!" Yudaina yells furiously, furious at what Bakugo did to her friend.

Before Deku could respond, he remembers an important detail that he forgets about during this ordeal.

"My notebook!" Midoriya storms out of the classroom, remembering that his textbook is likely still on fire.

"Midoriya, wait!" Yudaina follows suit.

After a quick sprint through the school, Midoriya reaches where his notebook was tossed. The book isn't on fire anymore, as it fell into the school's small circular fountain.

Midoriya grabs his notebook from the water, but after pulling it away from some fishes that were nibbling on it. Yudaina stands next to Midoriya as the two begin to walk away from the school and on their way home.

"Is your book fully intact?"

"Yeah, it's fine. All my research is still here." Midoriya opens his book and flips through his pages, detailing various heroes that Midoriya has studied, including the recent debut of Mount Lady earlier that morning.

Yudaina stares at the notebook, impressed at how much research Midoriya put into his work, page after page showing a drawing of the hero in question with details on their outfits and their quirks.

"Impressive, Midoriya. I always do forget the extent of your passion for heroes." Yudaina lets out a smile, endeared by her friend's love for being a hero.

"Oh, this? I just take the important things to be a hero."

"You know the most important thing a hero needs, Midoriya?"

"What?"

"Courage, you can't let Bakugo continue to bully you. You must stand up for yourself and your honor!"

"It's not that simple, Yudaina." Midoriya says meekly.

"Well, explain it to me, Midoriya. Explain to me why you let that bully have his way with you! I know you two have known each other since you were little, but that doesn't mean you have to take his unacceptable actions. A hero wouldn't and couldn't let someone like Bakugo treat them like that!" Yudaina declares.

"It's because I look up to him, ever since we were little kids." Midoriya says.

Midoriya mind's returns to his younger days, when

A young Midoriya and Bakugo walk along the forest path in the bright daylight, with the former shaking in fear as they go through the forbidden path to get home, as they are a bit late heading home.

"Ka-Chan, you sure going this way is safe? We aren't supposed to go here." Midoriya said timidly.

"I know what I'm doing, Deku. Besides, you would be lost without me." Bakugo said

"Well, um, I do know another we could have gone home."

"Please, your way would have taken too long. this way, we'll be home way faster!"

However, they aren't the only people on the path, as ahead, three older kids stand in the middle of the path, looking at

"Look, two little babies walking on our path."

Bakugo and Midoriya stop and look at three kids, who are much taller and bigger than them.

"Who the hell are you?" Bakugo asks, angered by the attitude of these three kids.

"We are owners of this little path, and you can't cross it unless we say so."

"And?" Bakugo said, getting aggravated.

"We charge a fee to go along this route. So pay up!" One of the bullies said.

"Beat it, and we don't have any money!" Bakugo yells at them.

"Ka-Chan, what are you doing?" Midoriya asked fearfully.

"Oh really? It looks like we'll have to give you have to pay the other way."

The three punks begin to approach the young Bakugo and Midoriya, ready to give them a nasty beating they won't forget. One of the kids turns his hands into tiger crawls while another kid opens his mouth wide to see hundreds of teeth, ready to bite with it.

Midoriya hides behind his friend, scared of what these bullies will do to him. "Ka-Chan, what are we going to do? There are too many of them."

However, Bakugo just smiles and says, "No, there's not enough of them."

"Oh really? One of the bullies says smugly.

"You think a little brat like you can harm-?" Another Bully says.

Bakugo raises his hands up and releases a massive explosion from his palms, hitting all three of the bullies, sending them all flying into the nearby tree.

One of the kids stands back up, shaking in fear at the young boy that just blew them up.

"That's kid quirk is insane! Way strong than ours!"

"Yeah, h-he took us down without a sweat!" The other kid said in disbelief.

"Know what, we'll charge nothing today. Just don't hurt us!" The third kid yells out.

Bakugo looks at them and says coldly, "then get out of the way."

All three bullies run away in fear, not wanting to get more of Bakugo's quirk. While they run, Midoriya stares at Bakugo in pure amazement at his friend's power.

"Ka-Chan…that was so cool!" Midoriya yells out, blown away by his friend's quick disposal of the bullies.

Bakugo turns back and smiles back with a sense of superiority and cockiness, impressed by his power.

"Of course, those losers are nothing to me! No one is!"

"You're amazing, Ka-Chan!"

"Of course, I am. Maybe if you're lucky enough, you'll be half as me!" Bakugo says before he laughs, proud of his amazing quirk.

Midoriya's mind returns to the present as he continues his conversation with Yudaina, with the latter paying close attention.

"Ever since then, I want to be just as amazing as him. If I'm a great as him, maybe I have a chance of being a hero."

"Midoriya, I understand, Bakugo does have a strong quirk, and you don't have one. But no matter how powerful your enemy is, you have to stand your ground at one point! Never surrender! Because Midoriya, I won't always be there for you, and if you want to be equal to your heroes, you're going to need to stand on your own."

"Thanks, Yudaina. But It's not that."

"Then what is? Why do you let Bakugo push you around? Midoriya, you're amazing! These past three years knowing you is proof of that! You're a better person than Bakugo can ever dream of being!" Yudaina exclaims.

Midoriya looks at her, surprised, "You think so?"

"Yes, of course! I keep telling you this, but I will speak once more. You are a better man than him in every way!"

Midoriya smiles. However, Yudaina isn't finished singing her praises.

"There's more goodness in your hand than in Bakugo's entire being! You have an amazing sense of honor and noble nature. You are more respectful and patient despite what life throws at you and never once take it out on anyone!"

Midoriya stares in a bit of shock and disbelief as Yudaina keeps listening to why she thinks Midoriya is better, going on and on, losing herself in speaking. All he can do is just watch his friend speak since it would be too rude of him to interrupt her.

The city street is peaceful, and everything had gotten back to normal since the giant villain attack from earlier. People were getting on with their days. However, that changes instantly when a giant sludge villain begins to tear through the city streets.

The Sludge Villain is a hug green blob with a big red eye guiding the rest of its body as it destroys several cars. Several citizens watch the Villain tear through the streets, how they were more annoyed of the villains than afraid.

"Another villain attack, seriously?" The man says, more annoyed than fearful.

"Yeah, they have been acting bolder recently. It's getting a bit annoying." Another man says

A tall skinny blonde man leaves a grocery, holding a white bag with his purchases. He wears a white shirt and brown pants. He watches the people casually discuss the giant sludge monster that's it's making its way through the street.

The skinny man realizing what needs to be done, begins to transform, turning into a much larger and muscular man.

"Have no fear, citizens." He says sternly.

The people turn around to see who said that and are surprised, "No way…."

Midoriya and Yudaina continue walking home as they have reached the underside of a bridge, but they still continue their discussion from earlier.

"I believe in your honor, Midoriya! You have a truly noble heart!"

"Thanks, Yudaina." Midoriya says, but he is a bit hesitant to accept all those praises.

"It's the truth, and you have a great sense of honor that will help achieve any goal you set out."

"You mean anything?"

Yudaina raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Do you think I can become a hero, even without a quirk?"

Yudaina is silent, not sure how to answer. Midoriya looks at her, worried at her, hesitant to answer his question, afraid of what she will say.

"Midoriya, I think-"

Suddenly, the giant sludge monster explodes from a manhole nearby and jumps out towards Midoriya and Yudaina.

"What on earth?!" Yudaina yells out in surprise.

The sludge villain grabs Midoriya and begins to jump into his body, having his sludge go through his mouth.

"I'll just jump right into you, and they will never find me!"

Midoriya struggles to break free from the Villain. However, the Sludge Villain grasp on him is too strong, and he can't call out for help. He cannot escape.

"Leave my friend alone!" Yudaina charges at the sludge monster. She raises her fist to try and punch the sludge villain. However, the Villain just backhands her into the tunnel wall and presses her against it, beginning to suffocate her. Yudaina tries to break free by punching at the Villain. However, all it does is just weaken herself."

"You should have run while you had the chance."

"No! Yudaina!" Midoriya thinks. Midoriya desperately craws at the sludge villain, but it's a futile method. His hands just melt through the sludge monster's body.

"You're both mine!"

"Is this how it ends, being stuffed by a sludge villain? Please, not like this. Somebody…please save us."

Suddenly a massive burst of laughter comes echoing throughout the tunnel, grabbing the attention of all three people there.

"What-." Sludge monster says before getting a strong punch to it's body, causing it to ripple and break apart from Midoriya and Yudaina. Both teenagers drop to kneeling on the ground, coughing cough violently as the sludge left their mouths.

"Yudaina. Are you ok?" Midoriya asks.

"I still stand, Midoriya. But we have a bigger question. Who saved us?" Yudaina says.

"Have no fear, citizens, hope has arrived…" a voice cries out. Midoriya and Yudaina are frozen in shock at that voice, and they recognize that voice. They look to the end of the tunnel to see an incredibly tall man standing there, he faces away from the two, but the two teens know who it is.

The man looks back, and he reveals a large smile, and the man said, "Because I am!"

"ALL MIGHT!?" Midoriya and Yudaina. The two runs over to their hero and saw him close up. He has blond hair with two large stands of hairs standing up.

"ALL MIGHT. I'M LIKE YOUR BIGGEST FAN!" Midoriya says, excited as he lets his fanboy energy out to his hero.

Yudaina took a more subdued approach, although she is a bit fangirling out as well, "A-All Might. It-Its my greatest honor meeting you! I-I'm not worthy of your presence!" Yudaina bows down. But by bowing, she sees a soda bottle in All Might's hand, but there is a dark green substance in it, the same substance that made up the sludge villain.

"Is that the sludge villain?" Yudaina asks.

"You catch on well, young lady!"

Yudaina trembles, "All Might, complimented me! This is the greatest honor of my life!"

"All Might, please sign my-" Midoriya holds out his hero notebook, hoping for All Might to sign it. But as quickly as he opens, All Might quickly sign his name in a blink of an eye, much to Midoriya's amazement. "THANK YOU!"

"Now! I must leave! I must bring this Villain to the station." All Might bends down and begins to prepare himself.

Yudaina is in a state of awe at All Might. The experience is truly breathtaking to her. She smiles brightest "Best of luck to you, All Might!"

But Midoriya feels differently. He doesn't want All Might to leave yet. "But I have so many things to ask you." Midoriya says to himself.

All Might makes his mighty jump as he leaves the area to go on his day. However, it isn't going to go as planned.

"This has been the greatest honor of my life. This will never leave me. Isn't that right, Midoriya?" Yudaina looks to Midoriya. However, she sees that he is no longer beside her.

"Midoriya?" Yudaina says baffled.

All Might continues his jump through the air, but he feels something grabbing onto his right leg. "Hm?"

All Might looks at his legs and sees the young man he saved is holding on to him for life.

"Hey hey hey hey hey! What are you doing?!"

"Please, I have so many questions to ask you!"

Yudaina looks in shock and terror at her friend's insane action, "MIDORIYA! WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING?! GET BACK DOWN HERE!?"

Yudaina sprints after All Might and Midoriya, who slowly become smaller and smaller until she can see cannot see them.

"Where did they go? They have to be here somewhere!"

All Might is forced to land on the building, leaving Midoriya on the ground, tired out from the excitement of the

"Young man, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but not try to do that again. You almost got your hurt there." All Might said, keeping up his usual upbeat attitude that he is known for.

All Might begins to walk away towards the edge of the building, ready to make his second jump away. "Just stay here, I'm sure someone will let you down later."

However, Midoriya stood straight up, and he needed to ask All Might a question, the most important question he needed the answer for, "Wait! I have a question to ask you! Is it possible for someone like me to become a hero! Someone with a quirk!"

All Might turns his head back at the young man, thinking about his question. Midoriya lowers his head down, still a bit shy to be around his hero.

"It's just that I always wanted to be a hero, but ever since I was a little kid, I was told I couldn't be one because I didn't have a quirk. But I didn't give up because I thought I could still be one. But I need to ask you if I can be a hero."

But while Midoriya is talking, All Might's bodies begin to emit smoke from his body, which Midoriya notices quickly takes notices.

"Um…All Might…is something wrong? Why are you smoking?"

"Crap. I'm out of time." All Might thinks to himself. "Oh, it's nothing! Trust me, just turn around and don't pay-"All Might says, trying not to let on the truth, but it was too late. He quickly returns back to his normal form in a puff of smoke.

Midoriya's mouth is wide open as he sees his idol's true form, a skinny man who's drolling blood from his mouth.

"Oh, crap." All Might thinks to himself.

"Hey, what happened to All Might?! Who are you!?" Midoriya said

"I-I am…All Might."

Midoriya is speechless, this smaller skinner form of his hero. But this raises even more questions.

"IT CAN" T BE! HOW DID YOU SWAP BODIES? HOW DOES THAT WORK?!"

"You know those guys who suck in their gut at the pool to look more buff. Think of it like that?"

"THIS CAN'T BE REAL?!" Midoriya said, still in complete shock. However, he calms himself down and tries to focus on the most important question.

"wait…why do you have this form? Why are you like this?"

All Might takes a massive sign.

"Young man, you promise this you will not tell anyone this?" All Might asks.

"Yes, yes! Of course, I wouldn't dream of it!"

"Good." All Might said. He pulls up his shirt to reveal a disgusting pink mark in the lower left of his chest, it's veins spread across his left side of his body,

"Half of my respiratory organs were destroyed. I was barely lucky enough to live through these injuries. But due to this injury, I can be in this form for only three hours a day. I can't push myself so much."

"It can't be…What happened?" Midoriya asks.

"A battle with a villain, About five years ago."

"Five years ago? Let me think. The only major villain battle that happened was between you and the Blue Reaper. But you weren't reported to be heavily injured."

"It's not exactly a known battle. The fight was not made public, it would have made people afraid, and I can't have that. I still have to be a symbol, and I need to still bring smiles to everyone, to be their hero!"

"Oh… I'm sorry."

"It's okay young. Excuse me, and now I have to go now. I still have to hand in that Villain to the police. Take care, young man." All Might says as he begins to walk away to the nearby door.

"Wait, you didn't answer my question! Can I be a hero!?" Midoriya yells out.

All Might stop for a moment, thinking about what to say to this boy who looks up to him. He had to give him an honest answer. He deserves that much.

"Listen, kid, I know you don't want to hear this, but you can't be a hero."

Midoriya froze at what he heard, his heart shattering to a million pieces upon hearing this from his hero.

"Being a hero isn't easy work. Pros are often faced with some of the most dangerous criminals out there, and without a quirk, you would be a sitting duck. You can still do good in other ways. Despite what people say, there's nothing wrong with being a police officer. They still do honest work." All Might walks over to the door and opens it. However, he says one last thing to Midoriya. "Listen, kid, having dreams are okay, but you have to be realistic."

All Might leaves through the door, closing it behind a depressed Midoriya, heartbroken that his idol told him his dream is impossible.

All Might walks down the stairs when he checks on his pocket to see if the bottle is still okay, but he didn't feel it. He looks around his body, trying to find the bottle, but it's gone. The bottle that contains him is gone.

"Shit, where did he go? It must have fallen out." All Might panic as he runs down the stairs, hoping to find the Villain before it was too late.

The Sludge villain begins to leak from the soda bottle that encases, slowly leaving it, which the people around him were unaware of the Villain nearby.

Bakugo and his two friends hang out in an alleyway, relaxing after school, ready for fun times to spend their day. However, Bakugo's mind is plagued by Deku's ambitions.

"Deku, that loser. He thinks he can be a hero." Bakugo ponders in his mind.

Bakugo's mind is brought back down to reality as one of his friend's talks.

"Yo Bakugo, want to head to the arcade? I heard we can grab a smoke there."

"You morons, if we get caught, that will be put on our record! I'll never get accepted into UA!" Bakugo yells furiously! His two friends fearfully nod along, scared at what Bakugo could do to them.

However, Bakugo's attention to Midoriya, he's still frustrated at Deku's hopes to be a hero, despite his lack of a quirk, which just makes Bakugo more furious.

"That damn loser, thinking he can be making in that school, Bakugo!"

"Like you have the potential actually to get into UA!"

"Who said that?!" Bakugo said angrily. Bakugo looks to the entrance of the alleyway to hear who it is. He sees Yudaina, who stands at the entrance, concerned, as she is looking for Midoriya.

"Oh, it's you, Yudaina. What do you want?" Bakugo said annoyed.

"I'm looking for Midoriya. Have you seen him? He-."

"That loser? He probably went home to cry over his pitiful existence. I can't say I blame him; I would be the same if I were as pathetic as him."

Yudaina is furious at what Bakugo said, seemingly a complete disregard for another person, especially someone who looks up to him. She couldn't stand by it anymore and speaks her mind. "Bakugo, you're a dishonourable villain!?"

"What did you say? Bakugo said angrily.

Bakugo's friends fearfully gulp, "Oh no."

"I said, you have no honor! Using your quirk to put down Midoriya, it disgusts me! Have you no shame?! Midoriya looks up to you, and you abuse him for your sick pleasure. You are just as lonesome as some common criminal!"

Yudaina points at Bakugo, "Someone like you could never become a hero!"

"…HOW DARE YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!"

"Allow me first." A monstrous voice said.

Bakugo turns around and yells out, "Who said?!"

Bakugo is taken back in shock at the giant sludge villain, who jumps towards him.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Bakugo yells out in rage.

"Bakugo! Stay back!" Yudaina tries to run towards Bakugo to protect him from the sludge villain.

Midoriya is walking home alone on the city streets, dejected after his talk with All Might. His hopes and dreams were shattered by his hero's harsh words. He looks down at the ground, feeling the most hopeless in his life.

"I'll never be a hero."

As he continues to walk, he looks up to see a large group of people gathered around the corner, watching something and discussing what lay before them.

"Woah, this isn't looking good for him."

"Yeah, I don't know if that blonde kid makes it."

"Blond Kid? Ka-Chan?" Midoriya said puzzled. Midoriya walks over to the crowd and makes his way through it to see what they were looking at, and his jaw dropped at what he saw.

Bakugo is trapped by the sludge villain, as the teen's torso and mouth are wrapped up, trapping him. The Villain has already done great damage to the surrounding area, as fire is ablaze throughout the street and on the vehicles, creating black smoke around the area.

As the Villain tries to grab Bakugo's hand, Bakugo blasts him with his quirk, blowing up the tendrils. Although it's not strong enough force to break Bakugo out, it's enough to get his mouth freed.

"LET ME GO, YOU BASTARD!" Bakugo screams just before the Villain gags him again.

"And lose a great quirk like yours, I don't think so!" the Villain said.

"Ka-Chan…" Midoriya said, horrified, seeing his friend fight for his life. However, this battle isn't the only thing that would worry Midoriya.

"Man, this kid isn't doing that well, he's trying so hard, but that villain has him." One man said

"That was nothing. A young girl tried to save that kid, and she got badly injured trying to save that kid. She's at the hospital right now." Another person interjects.

"Y-Yudaina…" Midori thought, frighten, knowing that Yudaina would do something like that. His heart pounds as he worries about her, how badly injured she is and is going to be okay? All these thoughts overwhelm Midoriya. He couldn't think straight.

"No…please, not her." Midoriya said with fear in his voice.

While everyone continues to watch the fight that is going on, All Might show up behind the corner, watching the battle unfold, scared at his helplessness in this situation. "Shit, I'm out of time. I can't save that boy." All Might thinks to himself.

Bakugo continues struggling to escape the Sludge Villain, but the sludge villain has its body around the teen, holdings his limbs back and gagging him, holding him hostage.

"Don't resist! Once I get into your body, you won't feel a thing!"

"MMMMMM!" Bakugo screams out in rage, trying to fight against the power of the Villain that holds.

All the while, the heroes are helpless in this situation, as their options are incredibly limited due to the circumstances of the situation.

"I can't use my quirk here. The fire will just burn it up!" Kamui says angrily.

"If I can get in close, I might be able to get a hit in." Shining Diamond says.

"We can't get in close. We might hurt the kid!" Death Arms shouts out.

"Not to worry, I'll stop this villain with ease!" Viper King declares proudly. He extends his right arm out, and two snakes pop out of his skin.

"Go, Fang Venom!" The snakes fire two purple streams of poison at the Villain. However, the poison just gets absorbed by the sludge villain, much to the horror of the hero.

"Oh no…no no no no." Viper King talks to himself, frightened that his attack did nothing to the Villain.

"Viper King, what are you doing?!" Kamui said, annoyed at the Viper King's failure to stop the Villain.

"Umm…try to save the day…" Viper said fearfully.

"Crap! We're going to need more help!" Kamui says. He tapped on the comes

"Mount Lady, we need your help! We are south of your position!"

"I'm on my way!" Mount Lady said over the coms.

Mount Lady, in her giant form, is running towards the battlefield, ready to fight. However, Mount Lady stops at the narrow street that the Villain is making his stand. The buildings are too small for her to get in and to fight the Villain. And she couldn't shrink back down and grow again because it would damage the surrounding buildings.

"Crap! I can't get in." Mount Lady yells out.

"Shit. We can't do anything." Kamui said.

"We gotta do something. That thing is going to kill him!" Death Arms yells out.

"Don't worry guys, All Might, he's always saves the day. He's going to come, right guys?" Viper King said fearfully.

The heroes there don't respond to Viper King as they are focused on the hopelessness of the situation as the Villain continues to attack Bakugo.

Midoriya watches as his old friend who's struggles fruitlessly. The person he looked up into a way, helpless as he fights on, despite his chances of survival. The fear overwhelms Midoriya, seeing that the person he looked up to. However, Midoriya couldn't stand there as his friend be killed by a villain. He needed to do something.

Without thinking, Midoriya's body just moves on its own. Midoriya begins to run over to Sludge Villain to save Bakugo, sprinting past the heroes.

"Kid! What are you doing?! Get back here!" Death Arms cries out.

All Might stares in wide eye as Midoriya runs at the Villain and thinks, "What is he doing?"

However, Midoriya kept on running towards the danger to save his friend. The Sludge Villain tries to reach out and grab Midoriya with his slimy tendrils, but Midoriya throws his backpack at the monster's eye.

"URGH!"

While the Villain is distracted, Midoriya reaches him and begins to grab at it's slime body and tear it away to attempt to rescue Bakugo. Although every time Midoriya grabs at his slime body, more slime-covered up, making his attempts fruitless.

"DEKU, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Bakugo yells out furiously.

"Ka-chan! I can't let you die!" Midoriya says, crying as he kept on trying to save Bakugo.

"T-this young man, he's risking his own life even though he doesn't have a quirk." All Might thought, amazed at the action he saw right before him. Through that action, All Might slowly begin to get inspired as his body begins to shift into super form.

However, the sludge regains his focus, and he sees the green hair teen trying to rescue his captive, which infuriates him.

"WHY YOU LITTLE!? TIME TO FINISH WHAT I STARTED!?" The Sludge Villain yells out as its slimy limbs head straight towards Midoriya with the intent to kill him. However, the young man stood stern and kept on fighting to save his friend, even if it would cost him his life.

But before the Villain could attack Midoriya, All Might jump in to stop him, having his fist raised and ready to strike.

"What-?" the Villain couldn't finish his statement as All Might delivers his attack to the Villain.

"DETRIOT SMASH!" All Might roars as he pulls his fist back and punches the Sludge Villain at full force.

Everyone is in shock at the sheer power of All Might. His mighty punch causes the Villain to break the sound barrier, creating a massive gust of wind blowing away the Sludge Villain and breaking him up into smaller pieces, freeing Bakugo from the Villain's gripe.

The wind would have blown away any civilians that are on the other side of the battle. However, Mount Lady kneed on the ground and put her arms around the people that were there and protecting them.

As moments passed, the gust of winds wines down, All Might stands triumphantly over the Villain before he looks at Midoriya, who is in awe of All Might and his action. However, it is brief, as All Might quickly jump away before his quirks run out again.

Everyone is speechless after the feat they just witnessed. Such power, it's enough to make anyone just stare in awe for a long period of time, although there's always an exception.

"Hah! I told you he would save us! And you all doubt me. Next time listen to the genius that is me, Viper King!" the snake hero said with superiority in his voice.

"Oh, shut up, Viper King." Kamui said, irritated by the Snake Hero's posturing.

A few minutes have passed since the battle; Police have already shown up to gather the pieces of the Villain, ready to take him to a prison that would be able to handle him. However, that doesn't mean Midoriya and Bakugo are done at the scene.

Midoriya and Bakugo are sitting near an ambulance, getting a check-up for any injuries they may have gotten from the battle. They were also getting a talk from the pro heroes still there, although both got a different treatment.

"What were you thinking, kid! You're almost got yourself killed!" Death Arms yells out angrily at Midoriya, furious about his reckless action earlier. Midoriya takes it, not objecting to what is said about him.

"You were quite brave out there. Good job." Another hero compliments Bakugo. However, the teen pays no attention. He's still furious that Deku tried to save him. It embarrassed him that a quirkless kid tried to save him and not himself.

"Please, I need to know, there was a young woman that got hurt, is she okay? Do you know anything about her?" Midoriya said out of concern for Yudaina, who he still worried for as he didn't

"Yes, kid. From what I heard, she's just at the hospital, and she's doing fine."

Midoriya sighs in relief, thankful his friend is okay.

"Now, with all said, we got go do some work now. You stay out of trouble, kid." Death Arms says.

Midoriya nods.

Death Arms and Kamui Woods leave the two teens alone while they wait to be discharged. However, isn't going to be a pleasant one for Midoriya.

"I didn't need your help, Deku." Bakugo says quietly but with much anger in his voice.

"Ka-chan…"

"You hear me. If you do that again, I'll kill you! I'll prove to everyone I can save myself. I don't need a loser like you to help me! I'm going to be the number one hero, so don't ever save me. Am I clear?" Bakugo said, staring coldly

Midoriya is speechless as he thought perhaps Bakugo would respect him in some way after trying to save him. But he still receives the same coldness and cruelty from him. All Midoriya could do is nod along and accepting Bakugo's wish.

Several hours have passed since the sludge villain attack as the sun begins to set on the small neighbourhood that Midoriya walks through to make it home. Midoriya sighs at what happened with Bakugo earlier that day, he finally thought Bakugo would thank him in some way, but it's the same thing as always. Although, his day is going to take an upturn.

"Midoriya! There you are!"

Midoriya turns around to see who calls his name. It is Yudaina, running towards him. She has a band-aid on her right cheek, along with a few other cuts and bruises.

"Yudaina!" Midoriya exclaims happily.

The two friends run over to each other, eager to talk to each other again.

"Are you okay?! I was so worried about you." Midoriya said, happy to see his friend.

"It's okay, I just got few bruises, but I'll live to see another day." Yudaina smiles.

"I'm just glad you are okay."

Yudaina smiles turn into a frown, which catches Midoriya's attention.

"Yudaina…" Midoriya said worriedly.

"BUT I COMPLETELY FAIL TO STOP THAT VILLAIN, HE OVERWHELMED ME, AND I COULDN'T STOP HIM AND SAVE BAKUGO. I HAVE FAILED MY HONOR, AND I HAVE DISHONOR MY WHOLE FAMILY! HOW COULD I EVER FORGIVE-" Yudaina yells out, completely disappointed on how she was bested by the same Villain twice in one day.

"Hey, hey, Yudaina. It's no worries. You did your best. I'm just happy you're okay." Midoriya says, smiling at his friend.

Yudaina snaps out of her exaggerated state and returns the smile back to Midoriya. "Thank you, Midoriya. You do have the heart of a hero. You rushed in there to save Bakugo, no matter the danger.

"You're the first person to say to me, the heroes who did yell at me for a bit for doing it." He chuckles awkwardly.

"Well, then they are wrong!" Yudaina crosses her arms and smirks. "They don't know true courage when they see it. I true courage if I ever saw one."

Midoriya smiles at Yudaina and says, "Thank you, Yudaina."

Yudaina smiles back at Midoriya, proud of her friend's actions and noble nature.

"It's the truth, and I wouldn't say otherwise. I must go now, take care, Midoriya. We'll speak later!" Yudaina waves her hand as she walks away from her friend, smiling at him.

"Seeya Yudaina." Midoriya says.

The two friends part ways in opposite directions, heading to their homes. But Midoriya still has All Might's words in Might, as he frowns as he remembers what his hero said to him.

"I guess I'll never be a hero."

Suddenly, a blur jumps from the nearby alleyway and in front of Midoriya.

"THERE YOU ARE?!" All Might yells out, bursting from the alleyway.

"ALL MIGHT?!" Midoriya said, in complete shock.

"Yes! I am!" All Might exclaims before he lets out another powerful laugh.

"How did you get rid of those reporters?" Midoriya asks, still in shock.

"Young man, I stand for Justice! Not Sound bites! Because I am All-"All Might spit an enormous amount of blood and returns to his normal form. Midoriya screams out in horror at the sight.

All Might takes a moment to cough out the rest of the blood before he returns his focus to Midoriya.

"Young man, I came here to thank you."

Midoriya is surprised but is unable to form words.

"If you haven't told me about your life, if you haven't run into that fight, I wouldn't be inspired to save that kid's life. So thanks."

"No, I'm distracted from your work. Not to mention your time." Midoriya looks down, ashamed about how he acted earlier.

"I'm not finished. You told me you didn't have power. So when I saw a shy quirkless boy run into danger and try to save a life, it inspired me to act."

Midoriya raises his head up, surprised by All Might's words.

"There are stories about heroes, how they became great. Most have one thing in common. Their bodies move without having a chance to think, almost on their own."

Midoriya stares in awe at what is happening. His dream has a chance to be realized. Midoriya knees to the ground and starts to cry from those words.

"Young man, you too can become a hero."

All Might extends his arm out to the young man, ready to take Midoriya on and train him.

However, he and All Might failed to take in their surroundings for any peaking eyes.

"Uh…Midoriya?"

Midoriya is taken back to reality as he hears that familiar voice, in shock at what he heard. He turns around and sees Yudania, who is standing in surprise at what she sees and hears before her.

Yudaina is frozen in shock, as she couldn't believe what is happening, the greatest hero in history asking Midoriya to be his successor.

This is the first step for all of them, into a greater journey and adventure, the first steps to becoming great heroes.

So yes, that was the first chapter of Redux. I hope you guys enjoy it. Sorry if the writing is a bit off, it's been a while since I wrote a story like so I'm a bit rusty. But I think I did okay.

I introduce a bunch of a few new faces here, Yudaina, Viper King, and Shining Diamond. Don't worry, you'll see more of them. Well of course Yudaina because of the ending lol.

Just as quick side note, I should mention that these chapters aren't always going to have a consisted schedule, like I will try to get a chapter or two out once a month, but I will be limited in time I can spend with this series due to my job and other creative projects. So expect possible times where a new chapters take a few months. I hope

Next chapter hopefully will not be as long and will be out before the end of the month, but I won't make any promises.

One last thing, there's a little funny easter egg in this chapter. If anyone can spot it, props to that person.
