Chapter 13: Talk and Forgiveness(Nino's POV)

Author's Note: Takes place directly after Oblivio is deakumatized. Also I needed a break from the Voltron show for a bit, so I hope you enjoy this chapter.

"Alya, I don't think we should be friends with Lila anymore." Nino says to Alya.

The girl, Alya, crosses her arms, "What do you mean? I'm sure if we go up to her tomorrow she will give us an apology."

He takes a deep breath, "Will she? She called one of us a pathetic loser. Besides, she keeps saying to that class how bad it is for Keith to be hanging around Chloe and Adrien, yet I don't see what's so bad about it…"

"Don't see what's bad! Don't see what's bad! Keith is turning Adrien against us and same with Chloe. Sooner or later they will hurt us on somewa…"

"Really? Because from what I've seen Chloe has stopped being to us and is now just in her own little world with Adrien and Keith."

"So?"

"So it means that Keith actually did change Chloe for the better and we shouldn't have chastised him for trying before the Despair Bear incident!" Nino yells.

It was true, they did not see what Keith attempts to become friends with Chloe would actually accomplish which resulted in them teasing him about it. Adrien didn't join in, Nino thinks he was happy that some other person tried to be actually friends with Chloe instead whatever Sabrina was.

And with what Lila said earlier that day, it makes him wonder why they agreed that Keith didn't get anything from defending Chloe, when he obviously got her friendship and eventually her love.

So then why did they still believe Lila's words?

Were they just blind and willing to not look at what happened for the sake of remaining in Lila's favor? After all Lila does hang out with celebs a lot and she even went to Achu for a period of time helping with a national law that would be put in place.

So yeah, they were jerks. Guess he and Alya were just so used to the status quo that we both didn't think anything would change.

"Are you even listening to me?" asks Alya, her hands on her hips and her face has an annoyed expression.

This breaks Nino out of thoughts.

"No,"

"Unbelievable! My best friend disappeared for months and now my boyfriend doesn't even want to listen or even consider my point of view!"

Nino scowls, that's all she cares about? Me listening to her opinion and not the fact that a person we considered a friend was rude to us and failed miserably to predict the future.

It makes him wonder if there was anything else Lila is lying about.

"Nino…"

"Yes Alya?"

"Since you don't want to listen to me and instead listen to your own ideas I don't think I can continue on like this."

"This is just one argument! I have listened to you before, but now that I have a different opinion about something you think we can't make up?!"

"Yes." Her voice sounds stone cold and makes him shiver.

"Nino, I am breaking up with you. You are no longer my boyfriend."

His mouth hangs wide. She leaves and he just stares in shock. His girlfriend broke up with him because he thought they shouldn't be friends with Lila. Stupid, just stupid. She didn't even want to see if they could make up, or discuss the topic further and find a solution, but nope. She decided the best course of action was to break up with him.

Fine by him. It does mean that he can actually make up with Adrien. Nino has missed the dude's company, as hanging out with his other classmates hasn't been as fun, neither was just hanging around his girlfriend and sticking to her like glue.

Nor was it that fun to listen to Lila all the time, bragging about all the places she has been to, not that he doesn't care about her adventures, but after a while it just got boring. Especially since she sometimes tells the same tales over and over again to the point they have lost their awe.

Nino shakes his head. Tomorrow he will have to apologize to Adrien, Keith and Chloe for how big of a jerk he was.

He heads out of the school building, a part of him already missing his girl…his ex-girlfriend. Tears fall gently down Nino's cheek, but he tries to walk forward with great conviction to convince most of the people who are still out at this time of night that everything is fine with him, and he just didn't lose his girlfriend over a kind of petty argument.

Though Nino thinly smiles, tomorrow I'll gain some friends if they will have me. Looking at the setting sun, and the light snowfall happening, he thinks that his future will be bright, even if there are still some future obstacles that might be in his way.
