Omake: For Her Hero 1

by MrBallin
. . . . .

. . . . .
A pregnant silence echoed throughout the arena as Hancock's arms lowered to a resting position. Nobody dared say a word when they knew she was going to speak.

"Who does this man think he is?" The Snake Empress scoffed, looking downwards with contempt. "A disgusting vile creature like him even be near me!"

"Yeah! Who does he think he is!?"

"The empress is right!"

"Feed him to the snakes!"

"Yeah! To the snakes!"

The crowd cheered, yelling at what they considered the most atrocious type of varmint. For them, it was liberating to see the disgusting monster finally be put in its place.

However, someone else was horrified.

Yamato just stood there, her senses closing off everything except what was in front of her.

"Izuku?" She moved closer, and a feeling of dread filled the air, "Hey...you there?"

Silence.

"Come on, don't play with me..." Her desperate plea fell on deaf ears.

Yamato knew he wasn't the type of person to mess around in this situation, but despair held her by the throat.

They had arrived at the island only wanting some directions, but after a few squabbles and mishaps, the so-called 'empress' of the island had called them to the arena where they were escorted to.

It was a trap, but they didn't realize it. Izuku was too exhausted from flying them around for quite some time to dodge the attack.

She should've taken the helm and ensured that he'd be okay.

Yamato blamed herself for not paying attention and Izuku paid the price.

She didn't quite realize how grateful she'd been with him.

He was the person that listened to her talk about Oden with a smile on his face, not once had he denounced what she'd rambled about.

The person that helped her escape Onigashima and her wicked father.

The person that fought side by side with her no matter what opponent.

The person that believed in her.

He was her miracle...her hero.

"You should be thankful," Marigold chuckled, snapping Yamato out of her thoughts. "That man was clearly taking advantage of you."

"Indeed sister, there's no doubt about it." Sandersonia nodded.

Yamato fully turned towards the sisters, her eyes being covered by her long white hair.

She removed the Kanabo mace from its holder, coating it with a layer of ice and Armament Haki.

"What is she doing?" One of the bystanders asked as they observed.

Yamato's body grew larger as the ground trembled in adherence. A swift current shifted the arena's environment, obscuring the place in a thick mist, confusing everyone that was watching.

"How dare you..." The oni's princess voice slowly shifted to a voice much deeper than her regular one.

None of the viewers could see anything really, but the voice had them glued to its origin. Marigold swung her tail, letting the wind wipe away the fog.

In the arena's epicenter stood a white-furred humanoid dog gazing angrily at Hancock. Yamato had entered her Devil Fruit's hybrid-form.

"Turn him back..." She muttered. Her breathing was ragged, not out of fatigue, but through sheer rage.

Nobody said a word, monitoring the majestic beast, but she had enough.

"Turn him back...NOW!" Yamato screamed, letting a burst of wind emanate from her.

It was a like mini blizzard, catching everyone by surprise. Then like dominos, every single bystander watching, and two of the youngest Boa sisters...fell unconscious.

"This is...!" Hancock widened her eyes, noting just how much more dangerous this woman truly was.

Yamato didn't care as she charged forward akin to a missile.

"Thunder Bagua!"

At that point, Hancock knew...she royally screwed up.
