Learning about history:
Ryder was running a few errands and the pups were bored out of their minds.
"What should we watch?" asked Marshall
The pups debated and argued for a few minutes about what to watch, then rubble accidentally sat down on the TV remote and changed it to the HISTORY channel
"I've never seen this before, must be a new channel" said Rocky
"Should we watch it?" asked Skye
"I don't know. Remember what happened last time we watched something new we didn't know about? We were traumatized for the rest of the day." said Chase
"This is histowy, It's meant to be educational." said Zuma
"I've always wondered what human history was like" said Marshall
"Oh alright, we can watch it" Chase sighed
TV: Coming up next Tiananmen square
"Huh, what's that?" asked Rubble
"Well it sounds like it's about a square, maybe I was wrong about this, it doesn't seem dark at all" Said Chase
*several hours later*
"Hey everyone I'm ho- oof!" Ryder said as he was knocked down by all the crying pups.
"Can humans really hate each other so much to kill each other?! Cried Rubble
"Why did they have to die?! They had so much to live for!" Whined Skye
Ryder looked at the TV and sighed
"I really need to get parental controls"
Running gag:
*phone rings*
"Hey Marshall, can you get that?" Said Chase
"Yeah I got it. Paw patrol, how can we help you?"
Suddenly a baseball flies out, hits Marshall in the eye and knocks him to the ground
"Who was it?" Chase asked
"The Sports department" Marshall responded "Now get me an ice pack!"
Later...
*phone rings*
"Hey Marshall can you get that?" asked Skye
"I got it, Paw patrol, what's your emergency?" said Marshall
A loud explosion sound and the telephone shook, and both pups hit the ground in response
"Who was it?" Asked Skye as she got up
"The action film department"
Even more later
*phone rings*
Skye was waiting by the phone and excitedly answered when the phone rang
"Paw patrol, how can we help?"
A stream of water came out, soaking her
"Who was it?" Asked Chase
"The water department"
"I think this is what they call a running gag" said Chase as he walked into the Lookout
*Suddenly Marshall runs by, trips, and faceplants into the wall*
"No, that's a running gag" Responded Skye
(a few days later)
*phone rings*
"I'll get it" Marshall said as he quickly ran to the telephone
"Don't answer that telephone" Ordered Chase
"But Chase, all these funny things keep happening when I do answer it"
"I'm aware of that. Is there no end to this running gag?" Asked Chase
*Suddenly Rocky comes in with his pup pack and rips down the phone
"Well, I guess that puts an end to this running gag"
"Yeah and also to all the incoming calls" Chase said, unamused by the situation
