Mourning had arrived once more.

It was as peaceful as you could imagine..

And by that, I mean it wasn't peaceful at all...

The people of Cappy town were already awake and making a fuss. Even citizens and tourists from other parts of dreamland had arrived to marvel at the visiting King of Patchland.

Said King was in the large, luxurious, royal guest room which Dedede had provided for him.

He tossed and turned in his bed (Which was also huge). Whining at the noise being made outside .

Suddenly someone knocked on the door gently. Fluff was even lucky to have heard that at all.

He approached the door opening it to find a relieving sight.

"Morning Sire." Meta knight bowed.

"Aww Meta!" Fluff cried hugging the older warrior. Meta knight did not anticipate a hug, but he accepted it. The people of Patchland were known for being unusually cuddly.

"Boy am I glad it's just you! These people are driving me nuts!"

The knight gave a warm understanding look. His eyes were the only things visible but they were able to express the warmth perfectly.

"I can tell with the baggy eyes… You look like you need to shave as well…"

Fluff's said baggy eyes widened for a moment before he felt his cheeks and the areas above and beneath his mouth. It felt like pointy little hairs had grown everywhere.

He went straight to the mirror, which was just as large and fancy as everything else in the room.

He gave himself a thorough look, still feeling the areas where the hairs had grown.

He then shot the knight a concerned look.

"Eh… I wouldn't say I'm ready to grow a beard yet." Fluff said.

Meta knight let out a quick, tiny chuckle. "What a shame… I personally think it looks good on you…"

"No thanks Sir. Not really into it." Fluff ensured

"I had a feeling that would be the case. So I brought you this."

Meta knight handed the yarn king a shaving stick. (Still in its packet of course.)

"Whoaaa… How did you know I'd need one?" Fluff inquired with amusement.

"I've had friends who had to deal with this in the past. Including your father. However I think the look grew on him. No pun intended."

"Hold on- You met my Dad when he was here? What was he like for ya?"

"You know… Whenever someone asks me such a question, I'd say they were just like their child. But your father was nothing like you. At all. In fact he was pretty much always scared of everything, no matter what the context may be." The knight explained.

As time went on the crowd outside got more excited. As the knight spoke, it got harder for him to hear his own words. It was irritating for both of them.

"Would you like to discuss in my quarters? It's much quieter here there…"

"UGH YES META I'D LOVE NOTHING MORE." Fluff yelled desperately.

Meta knight was being honest. It WAS much quieter. It wasn't perfect but it was definitely an improvement.

"Huh… Pops always said he was fearless. Guess that was an exaggeration." Fluff added.

He was having his breakfast in the knight's room, rather than the royal dinning room. Which was, once again, HUGE.

He was also supposed to have it in bed but his room was somewhere he didn't want to be right now..

"There were times where he had panic attacks from simply breathing. He also thought he was going to die from 'poisoning' when a mosquito bit him. Once I told him those were the most minuscule things he could worry about in this dimension, him and Angie left right away…" Meta knight explained.

"Im rather thankful that was not the case with you. I'd be awfully disappointed to have another friendly visitor leave so quickly…"

"Hmm." Fluff hummed thoughtfully. "Well Meta, with friends like you around, I won't be leaving any time soon." Fluff said this warmly but casually before biting into a piece of bacon.

Meta knight was glad that his mask was hiding his face. Those words touched him in a way he didn't expect. It even made him tear up a little bit. It touched him more that it was intended to.

So far the children of friends who he had met have attempted to straight up destroy him. Seeing him as an enemy to "take revenge upon". They worked things out but the experiences still left long lasting marks on him, both physically and mentally. But for once he didn't need to deal with any injuries or misunderstandings. In fact It was the complete opposite. For Fluff to be so kind and just want to keep him company… It felt good. But he also felt as though deep down, he didn't deserve it.

"Yo, Meta, you alright?" Fluff asked before biting into some toast.

"I'am.. Fine, Sire..." Meta knight said. His voice was hoarse from the little cry he had.

"You sure? You don't sound too good…" He asked again.

The knight cleared his throat.

"I assure you, if something was wrong I would let you know."

That was a half-lie. Crying was one of the only things he couldn't bring himself to talk about.

"You sound a little down though.. Maybe it's just mourning stiffness… But I know just what'll perk you up! How bout we go for a mourning work out?!" Fluff said with excitement (And a full mouth).

He swallowed what he was eating and got off his seat ready to dash out and experience more of dreamland. The enthusiasm then faded when he realized that the crowd of town dwellers were still there, and it was growing every second.

"Never mind. Guess I'll have to wait till dusk… Hope I won't be too sleepy by then though. Heh." Fluff sat back down trying (And failing) to not sound heavy hearted as he did.

Meta knight felt rather bad for the young king. But was glad to have remembered something to help in this situation.

A castle would not be castle if not filled with at least one secret. And Castle Dedede was LOADED with them. There were hidden doors everywhere. And The knight was happy to show Fluff a particular one which he could use to escape the unbearable townsfolk. It was small and blended well amongst the pale blue bricks.

"I don't know how to thank ya Meta! My mourning routine means a lot to me…" Fluff said with overwhelming gratitude.

"I know… The thanks you have given is more than enough. You best move along before the crowd grows larger."

As he prepared to leave he realized Meta knight wasn't following. He simply stood there and watched.

"Aren't you coming?" Fluff asked

"Afraid not sire. I'm still very busy. The war may have ended years ago but there are still many things I need to look out for…"

Fluff was a little bummed out about this but nodded to show he understood before he prepared to go in. He suddenly looked back again ever so quietly saying:

"Love ya Sir."

And then quickly proceeded with the exit.

Meta knight tried to wave goodbye, only to quickly retract his hand back into his cape in the process. All he could bring himself to do was look on in awe as the young yarn king descended into the tunnel.

Fluff took a jog around the area. As far away from the town as he could. He was still adjusting to the weight of his body, which had greatly increased upon entering this dimension.

The further he went, the more exhausted he got, and the more exhausted he got, the heavier he felt.

He decided to take a rest by a nearby tree, panting rigorously.

"C'mon Fluff." He said to himself through his heavy breaths. "The more you do this the easier it'll get!"

This was a lot less difficult for him in Patchland.

Just then Fluff was greeted by the tiny voice of the pink infant puffball.

"Hi Fluffy!" He called out from behind.

Fluff turned to see that the tree he leaned on just so happened to be the one next to Kirby's house. The pink puff had been spending his day right outside of his home taking in the mourning sun.

But Fluff was surprised to see not only Kirby, but a tall young lady with artist attire. She was seated near Kirby's house under the tree trying to finish a piece, but turned away and diverted her attention to Fluff when Kirby greeted him.

Her 'species' seemed unrecognizable to him, however she did kind of look like the fairies he had heard about that reside on ripple star. But she didn't have any wings.. Fluff may not know WHAT she is but he definitely knows who. He's been told a lot about her.

"Hey there- *huff* Kirby… Phew…" Fluff said still panting, his voice cracking a little. "I see I finally get to meet Ado huh?"

"Actually it's Adeline." The young woman said finally speaking up from where she was seated.

"'Ado' is just something Kirby calls me... For some reason… I don't know why, but I don't mind too much… It's adorable."

Adeline got up to pat Kirby on the head. A gesture which he enjoyed greatly.

"I'm really psyched to meet more of whatever Kirby and Meta knight are. Meta knight doesn't like to admit but you guys are pretty cute!"

Fluff laughed a little bit upon gaining some of his breath back.

"Oh no no I'm not a puffball! I just look like one. No idea why. I'm the only one in my family who does as far as I know. My dad isn't ball shaped at all."

Adeline stopped patting Kirby abruptly to rub her chin thoughtfully.

This was a stumper.

"And what about your mother?" She inquired.

Fluff's eyes widened a little. "That's a… Good question…" he said before doing some thinking of his own.

"She died before I was old enough to comprehend anything. Don't know how or why. So I can't remember what she looked like. And I can't find out what she looked like either. We never got any pictures of her. I've asked my dad about it once or twice but he just changed the subject each time. So I just pushed it aside. Heh, but now that I think about-"

Fluff suddenly stopped sharing his thoughts once he looked up to see an Adeline with a very furious look on her face.

"YOU'VE HAD SO MANY CHANCES TO FIND OUT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER ALL THIS TIME AND YOU JUST 'PUSHED IT ASIDE'!?" She scolded.

Kirby flinched at the outburst.

Fluff squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed both sides of his head. He had taken his break from his jogging for too long and now his whole body ached…

"Oof… Ouch. Ok ma'am… Ow… I- I understand when you put it that way… But please no need to yell. I already have a pretty bad headache."

"Good! I hope it gets worse." She countered angrily.

"Don't you think it's suspicious? How all those memories of your own mother are probably hidden away from you. Maybe as a kid you were too naive to realize it but now you're old enough to know what the right thing to do is. So do it. If you aren't too spoiled to."

After a very out of character fit of rage, Adeline stomped back to her canvas, plopping down on her chair loudly and continued painting, in a quick and rough manner.

Fluff had heard that Adeline was sweet and cared for every single thing around her. So seeing her like this on their first interaction hurt a little more than the intense pains he felt in his joints.

"Man.. I'am good at unintentionally ticking people off…" Fluff commented sadly.

"s'ok." Kirby said. Going up to Fluff to rub an aching area of his body comfortingly.

"She get over it." The young one whispered.

"If you say so." Fluff chuckled. "I'll… Apologize when she's less fuming…"

Both laughed quietly at each other's comments.

"She's right though… My first meeting with your pal may have not been the friendliest, and she probably hates my guts now… And even if I do apologize she probably still would. But she's made me realize that this is something I… Really needed to think about…"

After getting moderately rested up, Fluff took a deep breath and then hopped up before dashing off to get back to his jogging.

"Wha? Fluff! Where going??" Kirby called out.

"Gotta finish my lap buddy! Be back soon!" He answered.

"But…" Kirby said quietly.

The child was hoping Fluff would stay and hang around a little longer even after Adeline's scolding. He was starting to realize that every moment Fluff spent with him was precious because he wasn't sure how long he was staying here… This was apparent as he looked on at Fluff like a puppy who's owner had left it home alone.

"Don't worry about the royal pain Kirby. He's not worth any time." The young artist grumbled as her brush work got rougher with each stroke.

Fluff's body still ached. But he was determined enough to ignore the pain and press on. The scenery helped to distract him from it. This dimension was harsh, but man was it gorgeous.

The world was so detailed. It seemed like it was made up of so many different things at once. It was almost overwhelming. The sky wasn't exactly clear but not too cloudy either. The sun wasn't out so there was no risk of violent rays.

As he went over the bridge leading to Whispy woods, he looked down to see that the water was reflecting the sky as life both big and small were seen swimming around and thriving in it. Water couldn't look like that in his dimension.

He had realized he was staring at the water for too long so he decided to move on quickly before his aches and pains caught up with him.

Whispy woods, like many other places in dreamland, had become a much safer place after nightmare's defeat.

A path had been made to make it easier to navigate as well, so people could take trips there without the fear of getting lost.

Whispy himself had also become more welcoming. However Fluff wasn't intending to stop by to visit him.

He was dead set on finishing his jog as he went through the friendly forest.

Animals would greet him as he passed by.

The brooding birds on their nests and the ones that flew over head, the borrowing and non borrowing mammals and insects, and even the trees would say their hellos.

Some would even bow in respect.

"HiGuysMourningGuysNiceToSeeYaToo!"

Fluff greeted back as quickly as he possibly could. Trying not to get distracted again.

It had been a solid hour. Fluff had almost made it through the woods. It was then he noticed that the clouds had overtaken the clearer skies. They were a dark grey.

He looked up at them for only a second and then looked forward again. It was hard to resist looking at what other miracles of nature this dimension had to offer. Even when a hefty drop of rain fell on his forehead. Followed by another. And then another. And then a series of drops fell to meet the ground, which quickly soaked up the soil and formed puddles.

Fluff still tried to ignore this but he couldn't help but laugh heartily as his feet splashed in the small bodies of water.

Due to his short attention span, and overall inability to resist interesting things, he stopped his jogging to stomp on the puddles to see how the water would react. His laughter continued as the stomping turned into jumps.

He unfortunately didn't know how slippery the soil would get though, causing him to slip and fall hard on his back.

He lay there dazed looking up at the sky.

The rain looked mesmerizing from this angle.

He was too tired to get back up again so he stayed where he was and began to think again.

His peculiar shape and the obscurity of his late mother… Two mysteries that have boggled his mind his whole life. Two mysteries that could somehow be connected… These things could actually bother and torment him immensely for the rest of his life if he didn't find the answers soon. A second ago he felt pretty happy till he realized this. However he cheered up considerably once he found that he knew where to start looking for these answers.

Unfortunately Fluff's deep thought was once again interrupted, this time by one of the residents of the woods.

It was a chipmunk family consisting of a mother and her litter of three. They had made their home in a tree trunk and poked their little heads out of a hole they had made in said trunk, curious to see what the commotion was about.

"Mommy, why is the crazy blue guy laying in the mud?" One baby asked.

"Mitchell! Don't be rude!" The mother scolded.

"Eh… It's fine." Fluff said still on ground. "I'd say the same thing if i saw a grown king splashing around in the mud like a maniac."

The mother smiled enjoying Fluff's sense of humor.

"Well I believe his majesty can do whatever he wants without being disrespected. Right kids?"

"Yes Mom…" The litter said with a hint of shame in their quiet high pitched voices.

"However Sire, I would recommend not staying out in the storm. You could get sick." The mother informed worriedly.

Fluff took in the advice. He still wasn't sure if he could get up right now… And then there was his overbearing admirers back at the castle.

"I'll just rest here for a little bit. I'll go back home as soon as I have the energy for it." Fluff assured.

"Hmm… Alright…" The chipmunk mother said, still worried for Fluff's safety. "Good luck your majesty…"

And with that, the little animal family retreated into their tree trunk den to shelter from the rain. Leaving Fluff in his bed of soil and rain water.

The yarn king began to feel somewhat drowsy. The atmosphere he was in was so peaceful. And the water felt nice and cool.

Maybe he could even take a little nap there… What's the worst that could happen?

Back at castle Dedede, the Bandana waddle dee, a skilled ambassador of the waddle dee species, patrolled the halls as the weather outside worsened. As he did so he looked out the windows to see how most of the yarn king's admirers scattered, fleeing the scene to take shelter.

The spear wielder was relieved. They even got on his nerves.

As he moved forward he happened to pass Dedede's quarters. He was expecting to walk past that room, but what he didn't expect to see was a rather upset looking Dedede within it.

The Dee looked up to the King a lot. So seeing him like this was pretty jarring.

He walked into the room, slowly approaching the unhappy penguin king and cleared his throat.

"Ahem. Uhm, sire is something wrong?" He asked.

"OH! Hey Bandana Dee. Am alright."

Dedede assured.

"No you're not. Your eyes are glassy, your beak is completely turned downward and you're slouching! I've never seen you slouch before." The Dee said firmly.

"Well ain't you observant." Dedede said folding his arms.

"Just tell me what's wrong…"

After a few seconds of breathing in and stammering the penguin king finally lets it out.

"You remember when the citizens were gushin' over Fluff back there? Remember how they said only royal folks from other places looked appealing. Or how Kine didn't wanna use our technology?"

"That's what's been bothering you? I'm sure they didn't mean much by it."

"Nuh uh. They meant a whole lot by it. Lots a these folks don't like or respect me cuz of the stuff I did back then. Am tryin' so hard to be better Bandee… But nothin's good enough for em." Dedede explained solemnly.

"Sire…" The Dee said, gently putting a hand on his arm comfortingly. "We promised we'd be a hundred percent honest with each other right?"

Dedede nodded but he felt he wasn't going to like what would be said to him next.

"You have to acknowledged that good deeds you do in the present don't always completely undo the bad ones you've done in the past. Many people are still affected mentally and physically by them. It's a gradual thing. And it'll take some time before they can find it in them to completely trust you… Heck some people may never forgive you at all. But the first step to moving on is accepting that."

This absolutely did not make Dedede feel better but he knew he needed to hear it.

"You're right Bandee. No use in cryin' over spilt milk huh?"

"Hey sire, remember, there ARE people out there who have grown to trust you. You have close friends who trust you and appreciate your help." He said trying not make things seem all hopeless.

Dedede was about to say his thanks before they both heard the unusual sound of wet armor clanking across the floor.

They left the room and looked out into the hall to see that it was Meta knight. Running as fast as he possibly could.

Dedede laughed at this. "What's the matter Meta knight? Couldn't get outta the rain in time?"

Meta knight didn't respond to his teasing and ran right past him.

"Hmph… What's his problem?" The penguin King asked.

"LOOK!" Bandana Dee yelled, pointing to a wet unconscious Fluff slung over Meta knight's shoulder.

The penguin king and waddle dee looked at each other briefly before nodding and running after them.

The three of them gathered round Fluff. They had put him in his bed in the royal guest room. He was asleep but in very bad shape.

His temperature was rising so an ice pack had been deployed to his forehead.

"He has a fever." Meta knight stated.

"Sh-should we take him to Tuff?" Bandana Dee suggested shakily.

"No need." Meta Knight assured. "We will ask Tuff to come here."

"Poor guy… Pushed emself too hard…" Dedede said with pity.

Meta knight had whipped out his phone. "I truly hope Tuff would not have too much trouble getting here in this weather…"

Soon more companions had shown up to check if Fluff was alright. Even Adeline. She was still cross with him but she didn't let that get in the way of her caring nature.

Angie had finally popped up too. She had hidden in Meta knight's quarters due to the noise, but once the rain drove all the Cappies away she was free to come out again. But even if the Cappies were still there, nothing would get in her way of checking on Fluff in this condition.

"Aww Sire…" Angie sniffled… "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you in time…."

Just then Angie heard a snicker from behind.

She turned around to see Tuff smiling widely as he tried his best to hold in his laughter.

"W-what? What's so funny!?" Angie asked through her tears.

"Calm down miss. It's just a cold. Our health care has advanced to the point where this is barely anything to worry about." Tuff explained.

Angie sighed in relief. Her relief then turned to anger.

"WHAT WAS HE THINKING!? GOING OUT SO FAR AWAY IN THIS DANGEROUS WORLD!"

"Miss. Relax. He got a fever from going out in the rain too long. Stuff like that happens. Once he starts taking medication he'll be fine in a week or two."

Angie simmered down once again in defeat.

"Yo! flying cheese ball! Down here." Nyupun called out.

Angie looked down at her regrettably. Knowing she was referring to her.

"Ya mind not being so dramatic? I'm sure everyone here would appreciate it." The yellow octopus berated.

Angie would have responded to this angrily but she was too emotionally exhausted. So she merely perched on the edge of the bed. Tired of flapping her wings to keep herself in the air.

"You know what? Forget it. No one will understand." She grumbled

She had joined them in waiting for Fluff to wake up.

It was taking an awfully long time. Boredom and silence quickly took over.

Some tried to entertain themselves. Adeline had tried doing some practice on her little sketchbook. Rick groomed himself. Coo flew around the room. He was curious since this was the least visited room in the castle. Chuchu was staring into space with her eyes slightly squinted . She kind of looked like she was listening to something.

Nyupun sat there as well and simply observed what everyone was doing. She had noticed that Angie and the self proclaimed "dream team" of pop star (Kirby, Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee,) hadn't taken their eyes off the slumbering yarn king. They watched him thoroughly. Barely blinking or looking in any other direction. It was starting to creep her out. So because of this Nyupun tried to break this odd silence .

"Hey guys could you-"

"Shhh…" Bandana Dee shushed.

"But-"

"Shhhhhhh…"

"Shushyyy…"

Kirby and bandana Dee shushed in unison

"I just-"

"Shuuuush…"

"Shhhhhhh…"

"Shushyyy…"

Dedede had also joined the call for silence.

And with that Nyupun gave up…

The silence settled in again. And the yellow octopus went back to sitting and observing her surroundings.

She turned to her pink companion who still had that look in her eyes.

"Bet you're happy I was the one being interrupted for once ay' Chuch?…. Chuch?"

Chuchu still stared. Listening attentively.

"Hey Chuch is something wrong?" Nyupun whispered.

"Someone is watching us…" Chuchu whispered.

Nyupun watched as her pink companion went up to the window, noticing it was slightly parted.

She opened it up to the unfortunate sight of paparazzi.

A cappy hanging from the edge of the guest room window. With one hand holding on to the edge as tightly as he could and the other with a phone used to record.

"Eh… Hehehe. Hi Ms. Chuchu." The cappy said nervously.

Chuchu's body flared up in anger. "How dare you spy on my yarn king! Uh- I mean OUR yarn king!" She whispered harshly.

"I'm sorry ma'am! I-I promise I'm just here to make sure he's ok!"

"I will make sure he's ok. YOU will pay for spying!"

And with that, Chuchu extended her tentacle forcefully, punching the stalking cappy off the building. She had aimed in such a way that would cause him to land in the moat and not the rose bushes.

She didn't want to hurt him too badly.

The cappy had let out a loud shriek before entering the water, which could be heard by everyone else in the room. Causing Fluff to stir and groan in his sleep.

This made everyone, even Nyupun, shush Chuchu in response.

The pink octopus sunk in embarrassment. "Oh gosh. I'm so sorry guys…" She whispered.

Over time, upon knowing that Fluff's condition wasn't anything too threatening, the guests had said their goodbyes and left to go to their homes as it was getting late. They needed to go to bed too.

The only ones that remained, were the dream team. And Angie.

Kirby had fallen asleep and used Meta Knight as a resting spot to lean on. Which the older warrior was perfectly fine with.

After waiting pretty much the entire day… It was then that Fluff had finally… FINALLY woken up.

They all smiled widely. The wait was over.

"Guys…" Fluff began groggily. "What happene-" He suddenly went into an intense coughing fit. They recoiled in discomfort because of this. Bandana Dee pat his back comfortingly, trying to ease the coughing.

Once it stopped he rested on the pillow, taking deep breaths.

"Oh ho man… I feel awful." He chuckled.

"How can you laugh at a time like this? Aren't you worried for your health?" Angie asked from her perch

"Nah. I know Tuff'll patch me up good." Fluff said softly. He was clearly still very tired.

"I envy your optimism young majesty." Bandee said. Still applying comforting pats.

"Thanks… Bandana.. Waddle… Dee?…" Fluff said cautiously.

"It's not the most creative name. I know." Bandana Dee said with an invisible smile.

"It's fine. I mean you're talking to someone named "Fluff". Names are hard."

Fluff heard Meta Knight and Dedede laugh quietly at the interaction and turned to them realizing that he had more questions to ask.

"Hey Dedede, now that you have bandana Dee with you, what happened to Escargoon? Is he doing well?" Fluff asked.

"Well? He's doin' great!" Dedede answered happily. "He's got a family of his own too. Settled down with a nice snail lady from outta town. He's even gone on to start a company to make stuff like the high tech phones you see us usin' today! He's known all over Popstar for this! His mom's so proud. Am real happy for em. I will admit he-… He's a lot better off without someone like me in his life holdin em back."

The penguin king's mood quickly drifted to sadness between those sentences.

"Aww… Sire…" Bandana Dee said remorsefully.

Dedede quickly realized that leaking out his insecurities wasn't going to help much.

"I think It's best if I… Head to bed. Am Sorreh y'all." The penguin King got up and walked out of his room. Slouching lowly and walking sluggishly.

Meta Knight wanted to call him to come back. But felt it was best if he had some time alone.

Bandana Dee followed as well, after saying good night of course. Hoping to provide the penguin king some consolation.

This unfortunately did not stop the sadness from spreading. Fluff had a scowl on his face as he looked up at the ceiling blankly. Meta Knight knew this wasn't the scowl Fluff would often have. There was something on the yarn king's mind that was ruining his mood.

"Sire… May I ask what you are thinking about?"

Fluff quickly looked at Meta knight with raised eyebrows. Surprised that he could tell he wasn't doing too good mentally. It was like a sixth sense.

"Well… When I told Adeline I… Didn't know anything about my mom, she got really mad. I know it's weird not look more into stuff like that. But to feel so enraged and offended by something that didn't happen to you? What's up with that?"

Meta knights eyes glowed green. (Which Fluff thought was really cool by the way.)

He thought deeply about what to tell Fluff. He knew the answers to both of the things that bothered him in that sentence. But felt it was best to only tell him one of those answers.

"Adeline, much like Kirby, was raised by the people around her… She arrived on Popstar in a space craft like vehicle when she was just a baby. But unlike Kirby, she did not know what happened to her kind and did not have any remaining members to keep her company. This made her feel alone. A special kind of "alone" that I had felt when seemingly having all the star warriors wiped out before my eyes... Adeline has told me that she would give anything to see her "real" family. I understand what it is like to have such a desire."

Meta Knight smiled under his mask. Patting the sleeping Kirby on the head gently.

"Oh… I get it now." Fluff said looking back at the ceiling. "I guess I really have been an insensitive jerk huh?"

"Don't be so hard on yourself. You didn't know."

"Well now that I do, I'll try to find something to make it up to her… Not to make her hate my guts less. But for her to feel less alone and left out in the world." Fluff declared as heartily as his weary lungs could let him.

"That… Is a noble cause my dear boy." Meta knight said gently. The green glow in his eyes beginning to glow blue.

"Yeah… Maybe… It is…" Fluff said between yawns, facing away from the older warrior.

"What are you planning to do for her?" The knight asked, but was unfortunately met with no answer.

"… Sire?…" Meta Knight whispered. This time he was answered with soft snoring. Fluff had dozed off again.

He had also noticed that Angie had fallen asleep as well. Her eyes were especially baggy. She had been through quite a lot. This was probably the first time she had slept since she got to this dimension…

Meta knight held back a chuckle as to not wake the young ones.

"Well the sick do need their rest." He thought.

I actually had a fever while writing this. Lol.
