Marinette is now the leader of Voltron and is now left to deal with a returned Shiro as well as recusing the Galaxy from the Galra Empire that still is thriving. Keith has adjusted to life in Paris but his friend Adrien is struggling with his training to become the next Guardian and balance everything else in his life. Will these heroes be able to maintain the status quo?

36. Chapter 36(Miraculous)

Chapter 36: Discovery(Adrien's POV)

Adrien stares at the T.V with Master Fu. "What is it that you wanted to watch with me?" he asks.

"The Noirblog recently posted a new video about a theory. I wanted to see what she uncovered, and to go over it with you. Seeing as you are my successor."

"Fair," Though truth be told he didn't understand what Master Fu was talking about. What theory on the Noirblog? And why did Master Fu want to go over it with him? Did Alya discover something that wasn't supposed to be known?

The T.V turns on and Master Fu casts his screen to the T.V.

"Now Adiren, are you sure I wasn't interrupting anything dire? It is a school night and you've only just recently started school….."

"I'm fine. Besides with it being the first week of school back, teachers are being pretty light on the homework department. And training to be a Guardian is pretty important too." Adrien brushes it off.

But he isn't being truthful, the truth is he wants to spend time with Madame and Monsieur Dupain-Cheng and Keith. They're a family now, and he'd like to spend time with him to figure out how he feels about the whole thing. Sure he is relieved that he isn't living with his dad anymore, but….. It feels different, and weird, not to have Nathile or Gorilla by his side…

"Alright, as long as you're sure. I just don't want to put too much responsibility on you. You are, afterall, just a teenager and despite this being important you have a life too. And I want you to live it."

Adrien smiles, touched, "That's sweet…"

"Now let's watch this theory and see if we can use anything to discover Hawkmoth's identity."

Ah, so that was it. Sure Alya's posts and daily updates on finding things about the heroes, mainly to discover their and Hawkmoths identity. But even if they have been helpful, they haven't really found anything. Hawkmoth sits in the shadows letting his akumatized victims do the work for him, leaving nothing of value to find his identity.

"I have recently discovered that in times past there were other heroes. Each having some sort of connection to an animal. This led me to discover that many of the artifacts in the Louvre Museum held many depictions of superheroes. This painting with a lady surrounded by butterflies, an Ancient Egyptian scroll depicting a Ladug hero, a black armoured knight, a hero of the black cat. And that's not all a statue, using a pigment finder to find the remains of the leftover pigments, reveals another Ladybug heroine. And all these depictions have one thing in common, a cleverly hidden symbol on all of them. Leading me to believe that there was an order of Guardians tasked with watching the heroes. But something happened and the world forgot about the Guardians and the heroes until our recent team of heroes appeared. The statue unveiled at the Louvre today discovered in Tibet by the curator also has the same symbol….."

Master Fu gasps, "It can't be! I thought that was destroyed a couple of centuries ago!"

"I wonder what the statue's connection is to the history of the Guardians. Well that's all the info I have for now. See you next time!" The blog ends.

"What do you mean Master Fu?"

"Remember the story I told you?"

"The one where you were unhappy being a Guardian in training and then one day as a final task to prove that you were worthy of the mantle they tasked you to go twenty-four hours without food or water, locked you in a room, and told you to guard the Asian Miracle box. But as the hours passed by, along with your hunger, you kept having negative thoughts towards the Guardians. So you decided that it was okay to bend the rules and ask someone else to grab you a snack. Afterall you are still guarding the Miracle box and not leaving so it's okay. Then you grabbed the Peacock Miraculous and created a sentimonster to grab you food, but because you weren't in control of your negative emotions the hunger you felt and the anger merged into a senitmoster who wanted to eat the Miraculous which then lead to the Elder's being attacked and it eating every the other 6 miracle boxes. You tried to control it but it grabbed your staff and ate it, the other Guardian's tried to fight it off, but one of them handed you the Asian Miracle Box and told you to run. You had already detransformed by then so none of them knew it was you who created the accident that led to them fighting for their lives as they distracted the creature. As you ran off the sentimonster followed you, having eaten all the Elder Guardian. You had to jump over a crevice that contained lava and the Sentimonster fell and the Miracle Box fell open. But being in a panicked and scared mind you picked up the Miraculous hurriedly whilst accidentally leaving behind the Peacock and Butterfly as well as a copy of the Grimoire. And then you ran moving from place to place, unsure that your Senitmonster was stopped."

Master Fu blinks, "You remembered all that?"

He nods seriously, "Of course I did." It seemed like something he should remember, and try as he might, he can't just forget anything unless it's been a long time. Like he has a perfect memory, somehow.

"Well that statute is the Sentimonster I created and I can't let you or Team Miraculous fight it."

"But it's dormant!"

"But Hawkmoth will be able to sense it's a sentimonster and the dormant anger and hunger it holds for the Miraculous. And it will eat you just like it ate the Elder Guardian's and I cannot risk that."

Adrien stands up, "But that's ridiculous! Me and my team are improving and we've beaten other sentimonsters. We can beat this one!"

"No, you cannot. Seven Elder Guardians didn't stand a chance. What makes you think you can?"

"We have powers, and we have a team. A team capable of beating this thing. Trust me."

"You did good against Kwamibuster yesterday, but if my sentimonster awakens he will sense all your Miraculouses and your identity will be no longer safe along with the others."

"But if they do, an akuma alert will go off, alerting us all. Trust me, trust my team. We can do this."

Master Fu looks away and sighs, "I trust you."

Adrien smiles, "Thank you Master!"

Author's Note: So I decided to change Fu's story a little bit. I also decided that there are only seven Miracle boxes, one for each Continent since each and every country has different values and beliefs but some of their beliefs do coincide with each other. It also makes creating miraculous for different Kwamis easier as well. And I made it clearer that there were Seven Guardians, one for each Miracle Box, since Fu doesn't talk about that for some reason in cannon. One thing I didn't mention is that this time there wasn't a class of Guardians, but instead Fu was chosen and trained by himself to guard the Asian Miracle Box with no other apprentices. Since Fu in cannon stresses that he'd rather be with people his age, but in the flashback he's training with others. I also wanted to give it more meaning that it was an honor to be trained as a Guardian if Fu was the only one chosen to take over for one of the Seven Elder Guardian's.
