Night time came before Hiccup left to go build a prosthetic fin for Toothless's tail.
A half an hour later, Hiccup arrives at the forge and visit his back room to see Astrid's axe and a letter to read:

Hiccup sharpen Astrid's axe then got started on making Toothless prosthetic tail fin.
He made metal rods and stitch fabric to the rods.
He finished the tail fin, and drop the axe off at Hofferson's house.
He grabbed a basket of fish from the storage shed.
He also left Gobber a note to have the fisherman to feel one barrel of fish for him each day when they go fishing.
By eleven o'clock, he was back at his cove, sleeping in his tent.
In the morning, he feed Toothless fish and learn dragons don't eat eels.
While Toothless ate fish, Hiccup buckle the prosthetic tail fin to his tail.
He checked the prosthetic fin out "it looks good. Same size length and made it weight equal to the other one."
Toothless spread his wings out and jumped into the air and flew around the cove with Hiccup holding the tail fin open.
Hiccup comments "okay, bud. Can we land now because I have to come up with ideas to control your prosthetic tail fin?"
Toothless lands on the grass and let Hiccup get off.
Hiccup writes down notes on training a dragon.
Him and Toothless setup traps to fight against invading tribes that attack from the forest.
He stop to eat lunch after hunting a boar with bow and arrows and Toothless corner the boar.
They hauled the boar back to the cove and gutted it and cooked the meat.
At night, Hiccup made a saddle for Toothless to ride on his back.
He looked around the village checking things out.
Stoick left an apology letter in the back room for Hiccup, but he read it and ripped it up with a letter for the villagers that he doesn't accept anyone's apology because they chose honor and bravery over love and lost the meaning of family.
After a week, he perfected Toothless's prosthetic tail fin with gears, rods, and a pedal to open the tail fin.
Another week later, He made an automatic control to leave the tail fin open.
Next week, he made himself an armor suit made of Toothless's shredded scales.
A month later, a dragon raid attack Berk.
Stoick and the men struggled with fighting dragons trying to protect their livestock.
Women took their children to the Meade hall to protect them.
Hiccup and Toothless launch a counter attack at the dragons keeping them from stealing livestock.
Villagers gape in shock that a Night Fury was blasting dragons away from sheep and boars.
After the dragons retreated with a couple of livestock stolen.
Hiccup and Toothless returned to their cove.
Stoick finish getting reviews from what was taken and walked inside the Meade hall to drown himself into honey mead.
Gobber comments "Hiccup ripped up your letter. I tried to tell you not to turn your back on Hiccup."
Stoick sighs "I don't know what to do to fix it."

Snotlout and the twins pick on Fishlegs.
Hiccup decided to examine the village damage in his armor suit, but took off his helmet.
He came across Snotlout and the twins beating up Fishlegs and punches Snotlout in the side of his head and pointed two daggers at Ruffnut and Tuffnut's throats and scowls "try it and I'll make you homeless!"
Villagers came to the scene to see Snotlout on the ground holding his cheek and Hiccup holding Ruffnut and Tuffnut with a dagger at their throats.
Hiccup ask "Fishlegs? Are you okay?"
Fishlegs answers "my head and stomach hurts."
Spitelout approach to the front of the crowd to see his son on the ground and Hiccup pointing a dagger at each of the twins and scowls "what do you think your doing attacking the heir of Berk?!"
Hiccup turns his head to Spitelout and then down to Snotlout on the ground and then around the villagers and says "wow, you vikings still haven't learn to put love and compassion over honor and bravery."
He ask "Fishlegs? How has Snotlout and the twins been attacking you?"
Fishlegs answers "ever since you left Berk and Stoick was forced to make Snotlout heir."
Hiccup looks at the villagers and scowls "you all can't seem to beat Snotlout's butt for attacking Fishlegs! I would have strap his hands with a belt that he couldn't use his hands for a week or two weeks!"
Until you all learn to love and show compassion, I won't forgive any of you or rejoin tribe!"
He turns to Snotlout and drives his knee into Snotlout's face knocking him unconscious.
He walks past the villagers like nothing.
The Ingerman family scowled at Spitelout Jorgenson for not beating his son.
Magnus Hofferson was shocked at Hiccup defend Fishlegs against Snotlout and the twins with two daggers and returned home.
Brynhild noticed her husband's facial expression and ask "what's wrong, honey?"
Magnus answers "I may have made a mistake with forcing Astrid to break off her friendship with Hiccup because he just defended Fishlegs with two daggers against the twins after punching Snotlout once."
Astrid and Bryan enter the kitchen.
Astrid ask "Hiccup was in the village?"
Magnus sighs "yes, daughter. Snotlout and the twins were beating up Fishlegs and Hiccup walked up behind Snotlout wearing some kind of black armor and punched him in the cheek leaving him daze.
He then pulled a dagger in each hand and pointed them at the twins throats. Then he kneed Snotlout in the face knocking him unconscious.
He told us that until we choose love and compassion over honor and bravery, he won't forgive us or rejoin the tribe. I think he was a little angry hearing about Stoick appointed Snotlout as heir."
Bryan curious ask "what did the villagers do to him?"
Magnus answers "we turn our back on him and casted him out of the tribe because he wasn't a viking."
Bryan noticed his big sister looking guilty of something and ask "what did you do to him, sister?"
Astrid sighs in sadness "I broke off my friendship with him and said mean things about his personality. He never responded to my letter about accepting an engagement to him."
Bryan comments "maybe he would if you showed him some kind of proof that your sorry?"
Astrid smiles "sure, brother, I'll think of some things to try proving that I'm sorry."
