Chapter 10
Bothawui: at the Tree of Might.
On the surface of Bothawui, the Tree of Might was burning. Gohan was wrapped in his father's arms, the life slowly being squeezed out of him. Turles and Tien watched as Turles skin healed slowly.
"Again, what?" Turles looked at Tien, head tilted. He'd been in healing tanks many times, but they didn't even come close to comparing to these beans.
"It's a rare bean we have on our home planet. Keeps you full of nutrients for 10 days, fully rejuvenates of any fatigue or exhaustion, and heals any physical damage short of death in seconds. It even regrows lost limbs and anatomy, provided the injuries haven't healed over already." Tien looked away from Turles, and at the hugging pair.
As Gohan struggled out of his dad's locked arms, needing to breathe, he felt his chest with both hands. The shirt he wore was blasted right through, and his skin was restored, but felt stiff.
"Goku, are you okay?" Tien left Turles and approached the base of the tree.
"I am now." Goku inspected his son's chest, anger threatening to overflow again. 'This shouldn't have been able to happen.'
Determining that the bean did its job, Gohan stopped his investigation. "Dad, what happened?" 'That power was incredible.' "You felt completely different, for a moment you felt, you felt like the tree."
Goku looked over his fresh skin.
"I don't know what that was. I saw..." He clenched his fists. "I lost control."
"You lost control?" Turles shook his head. "That was losing control? Your power was unreal." He looked up at the tree. "The fruit grants diminishing returns if eaten too quickly. Your body needs to get used to the new power before consuming more. Right now, if I ate a bundle of them… I don't think I could come close to that power."
Goku considered this for a moment, and punched the air in front of the tree, the shockwave denting the bark.
"I tried to draw my power out, as usual." Goku demonstrated by lighting his aura, pushing his new power to the surface. "Wow, this is a lot more than I had this morning. Anyway, I didn't just find my power, I found something else, a different source of power. I tried to bring it out, to contact it, and that's when I blacked out."
"You don't remember anything after that?" Tien asked. "Do you remember finishing off the man that attacked Gohan?"
"No, not yet." Goku drew his energy back in.
"So, back on topic." Turles crossed his arms, making eye contact with his nephew. "That power you used, it wasn't all you had?"
"I don't know for sure, but I don't think I've even scratched the surface of that potential." Goku thought back to the Kaio-ken. He was using it, but that other power seemed to deactivate it, overwrite it.
Turles was amazed by his brother's son. 'If he eats the fruit, there's no chance I could catch up to him. I have to keep the fruit away from him until I can eat more.'
"If you've got that much power inside of you. Maybe the fruit will bring it out?" Gohan asked.
Goku looked at the tree, a few sections were now burning, and the fire was spreading throughout the canopy. It would take a while, but eventually it would be burnt down. "I don't know if we should take the fruit. It doesn't feel right."
Following his nephew's gaze, Turles tried to remember where he found the fruit he ate. He knew that if he went for it, he'd be stopped. If the tree burnt down, he wouldn't be able to get it at all. His best bet would be to get their help harvesting the fruit, and taking more for himself. It wouldn't help him yet, but eventually ...
"Why not?" Tien asked. "We see what it did to Turles. Imagine what it would do to us."
"It's evil." Goku responded. "It would be like me using the Spirit Bomb, but taking all the energy into myself, instead of using it for the good of others."
"It's not like that at all." Gohan protested. "It's strong, yes, but the fruit itself isn't evil. It may have been used for evil, but the fruit itself is not. If you were to absorb the Spirit Bomb energy, wouldn't that make you stronger? So you could help more people? I don't get how that's a bad thing. What would King Kai say?"
"Maybe the Spirit Bomb was a bad example. No one dies when I create a Spirit Bomb. People died for this fruit to be grown, and the energy is their being, not just a small part of it, like I would take."
"If they're already dead." Tien interjected. "Then let's put their loss to good use. If no one eats their fruit, then they died for nothing. If someone else eats their fruit, then their death could cause more pain and suffering. If we eat their fruit, then we can keep doing what we are doing, but more effectively. Imagine if when Raditz came to Earth you had the power of Nappa, or Vegeta. None of this would have happened."
Goku shot a glance at Tien when his brother's name was mentioned. Taking the hint, Tien reminded himself not to bring Raditz up, at least not when Gohan was around. Chewing his lip for a moment, Goku thought before responding.
"It's kind of like eating people. Again, this is their being now, all their energy. I know it's not their bodies, but it's still their souls."
"Their souls are probably in Other World, and they're not coming back anyway." Tien countered.
"Why can't we wish them back?" Goku said.
"If we wish back Piccolo and Yamcha, and the other Earthlings that died." Gohan said. "Would we be able to wish these people back as well? Can the dragon do that?"
"If anyone could make that happen, it would be Bulma." Goku turned his head towards their landing site. Hopefully, she and Krillin are okay.
"Wish? What are you talking about now?" Turles interrupted.
Tien made eye contact with Goku, and Goku realized what he had done.
'Idiot.' Tien sent the thought into the world, hoping Goku would pick it up.
Goku took a deep breath. Feeling out, he knew that even without Kaio-ken he could beat Turles if it came to that. "On our planet, there are these 7 magic balls called Dragon Balls. If you bring them together you can summon a dragon and he'll grant you a wish. In order for them to work, our planets guardian needs to be alive. He died when Nappa and Vegeta attacked. We're traveling to his home world to use their Dragon Balls, to get our guardian back, as well as revive everyone killed by the Saiyans."
"Magic fruit, magic beans, and magic balls. Okay." Turles smiled and nodded along.
"It's a magic world we live in." Goku smiled.
"I see. Need any help?" Turles said.
Tien once again made eye contact with Goku, slightly shaking his head. 'He's a Saiyan, we can't trust him.' A moment later, this thought was followed wondering if he was a space racist?'
Gohan flanked his father with Tien's aid. 'What would stop him from stealing our wish?'
'Gohan is strong and all, but he'd be a great training partner.' "Absolutely, I'd love to have you on your team."
"Dad, he could take our wish? We don't know him. What if he wished Vegeta back? Or wished us gone?"
"Come on, Gohan. I don't think he's like that. He hasn't done anything to earn our distrust, has he?"
"Goku, feel him. He's radiating dark energy. He may look like you, but he's not like you." Tien said. 'I'd like to see him try to get on that fluffy cloud of Goku's.'
"Don't talk about me like I'm not here." Turles looked at Tien. "I'm a Saiyan. We're not known for being warm and fuzzy. We're fighters. Just because I'm not afraid to fight doesn't mean I'd want to fight you." 'Especially him.' Turles glanced back at Goku.
Goku put his hand to his chin. "You know, Tien, you might be right. The only good Saiyan we know, and I hate to say it, is Gohan and me. The only reason I'm good, best I can tell, is because I was hit on the head as a child..."
"Saiyans don't break our word, and I give you my word." Turles put his hand over his heart.
"He'd be the second strongest of us." Gohan said. "Dad, if something happens to you, we wouldn't be able to stop him."
"He gave us his word, Gohan." Goku scratched the back of his neck. "Plus, with how strong he is, he'd be a great training partner for us both. I wanted to keep Vegeta alive, so we could fight again. Well, here's our chance, and he doesn't seem nearly as evil as Vegeta did."
"What are you hoping to get out of this?" Gohan questioned Turles. "The dragon can only grant one wish, and we won't give it to you. "
Turles scratched under his ear, looking at the boy. "I want freedom. I want to train with your old man, so I can keep my freedom. I've been on the other side of power before, and I don't want to be there again."
Goku smiled at that response. "See, Gohan? He's a good guy. We can trust him."
"That doesn't mean he's good. It just means he doesn't want to be enslaved again."
Tien felt heat from overhead, and realized how quickly the fire was spreading. "We're taking the fruit. Goku, if you won't eat it, Gohan and I will. We can't miss out on having this chance, even if some of us choose not to take it." With that Tien closed his eyes, and opened his mind. Sensing the clusters of energy ahead he flew through the flames.
"Good choice. I'll help." Turles smiled at Goku and Gohan before following Tien into the tree.
"I'm not giving you any until I trust you." Tien called over his shoulder, closing in on the fruit.
Turles cursed under his breath, but nodded at Tien's back. "Of course. I wouldn't expect anything different."
Goku told his son that he was going to make sure the tree was destroyed, and instructed him to return to the ship to let Krillin and Bulma know that they would have a new teammate. Gohan shook his head in disapproval, before doing as his father had requested.
Tien, using his energy sensing capabilities, quickly found two large bundles of fruit, and between him and Turles they were able to save a good amount of fruit before needing to leave.
Goku encountered the pair on their way out of the tree. "Gohans heading back to the ship. I'll be there after I make sure this tree is gone for good."
Back on the ship.
Gohan entered the main level of their ship. Bulma was focusing intently on the screens, and Krillin was behind her, standing guard.
"We're done here." Gohan told Bulma. "We couldn't save anyone."
Bulma nodded in response, before remembering Gohan couldn't see that. "That's what Krillin said. The tree's still alive though?"
"It's on fire. Dad is going to make sure it's destroyed. Also, we have a new teammate joining us."
This caught Bulmas attention as she looked away from the computers. "Really? Who?"
"A Saiyan, Turles, he's Dad's uncle. I'd rather him not join, but Dad is insistent upon it. He's about as strong as Vegeta was."
'Goku has an uncle? He's alive? As strong as Vegeta?' Bulma snapped her fingers. "Oh, that makes sense."
She turned back to her computer.
"What does?" Gohan and Krillin asked in unison.
"As you know, the ship has a built-in scouter. A while ago I picked up an energy level, 19,000, and that must be him. Shortly after that, there was another reading. I couldn't risk a proper reading, could have damaged the scouter, but it must have been over half a million. Who was that?"
"That was Dad." Gohan answered proudly. "We're not sure what happened, but, I was hit, badly." He indicated the hole in his shirt. "Dad snapped for a minute. I think he used Kaio-ken, but there was something else too. We're not sure what. Hopefully, he'll agree to eat a fruit and he can be that powerful all the time."
'So they're saving the fruit.' Krillin thought.
In the brief silence that followed, footsteps began to climb the exterior ramp. Bulma first saw Tien, carrying an arm full of half a dozen fruit. Goku was right behind him, very tanned, and in Saiyan armor, but carrying just as many fruit as Tien, if not more.
"Tien, Goku, that was quick. The trees still alive though?" Bulma questioned the pair.
"Bulma, meet Turles, Goku's uncle." Tien nodded towards the Saiyan as he put his fruit in a large bowl.
Following his lead Turles deposited his load in the kitchen, and waved to Bulma. "Nice to meet you."
Bulma looked Turles over top to bottom, as did Krillin. They looked at each other, and shrugged. "Welcome aboard, Turles. I'm Bulma, this is Krillin. What happened out there?"
Gohan and Tien briefly recapped the events in more detail, Krillin grumbling when they got to his capture, and Turles paying extra attention when they mentioned the Senzu Beans.
A series of beeps distracted Bulma, and her mouth gaped when she saw the scouter. "Guys? Come take a look at this."
The screen was darkening on one side, the energy all moving towards one point. "What's that?" Tien asked.
As they continued to watch, the energy from the tree continued to be directed towards this one point.
"What do you feel?" Bulma didn't answer Tien's question.
Gohan was the first to pick it up. His dad's power was skyrocketing. The tree was vanishing, and his dad was taking the energy in. This wasn't like a Spirit Bomb. He wasn't forming an attack, nor was he only taking a portion of the energy. His dad was taking it all, all the life of this entire planet, and just holding on to it.
'He can't be taking it into his body. His own energy was already hurting him, Kaio-ken is too much of a strain at higher levels… this would destroy him if he tried to absorb it all at once. What's he doing?'
As they watched the trees energy vanished, and only one pixel remained, Goku.
Moments later Tien's, Krillin's, and Gohan's senses exploded. Goku had released the energy he had absorbed, all at once. A few heartbeats later and the ground under them shook as the ship bounced into the air from the violent movement of the ground. Goku's pixel faded from bright white to its normal level, and a minute later he appeared in the doorway.
"Hey guys, what did I miss?"
His son just stared at him before answering. "What was that?"
"I had an idea, and it worked pretty well." Goku grinned at his now larger family. "I used the method for forming a Spirit Bomb to gather the trees energy, but instead of forming a ball above me, I surrounded myself in the energy. I used the Kamehameha, powered by that energy, to blast the tree. Not only is its energy completely gone, but I also blasted clean through its trunk."
'Note to self, don't piss of Goku.' Turles thought to himself.
"Alright, then… should, should we get back to our real mission, then?" Bulma asked, feeling uncomfortable in the silence.
"Yeah, let's get to it. Can't risk Frieza getting their first." Goku said.
Turles body stiffened. His hairs stood on end, and he was quickly dripping in sweat. 'Frieza?' "Frieza?"
'Yeah." Goku said. "He's this evil space emperor. The Saiyans used to work for him, before Vegeta was destroyed. I'm surprised you don't know about him."
"You're up against Frieza?" Turles mouth dried as his brow and underarms became drenched.
"Oh, you do know him?" Goku asked. "Yeah, we have reason to believe he's interested in the Dragon Balls too."
"Needless to say." Gohan said. "We're hoping to not encounter Frieza. We've had access to a scouter, and their networks, for over a year now. That's a battle we have no interest in fighting."
'Speak for yourself.' Goku thought.
'These guys are nuts.' Turles thought.
Several days later.
'2,498…2,499…2,500!' Goku curled his legs in and spun in place, finishing his set of handstand pushups.
Goku drank from a straw attached to the chambers wall, and looked over the console. "40 minutes? Turles, you're slowing down my warm-up. Are you ready for practice now?"
Turles swore under his breath, still warming-up.
"I'm, not, done, yet." He groaned as he struggled through another rep. '500.'
"Ah, man. Okay, I'll just get started then." Goku took another sip of water before hanging the straw up. Focusing on invisible targets, he sunk into his stance and began a vicious assault on the air.
Above the gravity chamber, Gohan, Krillin, and Tien sat in a circle, cross-legged and eyes closed. Krillin was panting hard, as Tien and Gohan didn't move.
Inside his mind Gohan was battling three of the fighters that grew the Tree of Might. He couldn't take them all yet, but he was getting closer.
Krillin wasn't too far behind, but lacking the familiarity with those fighters, he was focusing on Nappa. He still wasn't winning every match, but with his limited use of the gravity chamber, and the training he's been doing with Gohan and Tien, he felt he could take the brute on by himself if need be, although he'd rather never see him again.
Tien had progressed in his training, and was taking a heavy mental beating from Vegeta. At this point he still didn't stand a chance, but if he didn't try, didn't train, he never would. He had already come so far, from barely lasting a few moments, to being able to last over a minute, and counting.
Bulma smiled at her crew, before returning to her work. Twitching slightly she dropped a small screw into the shell of her project, and she thanked herself for using durable materials when she threw it against the interior wall.
Several more days later.
Tien and Krillin got on either side of the blindfolded Turles and without speaking synchronized their attack. To their dismay Turles caught both their fists.
Exchanging glances they agreed on their next move. Tien swung his robotic fist towards Turles' head, as Krillin went to sweep his legs out from under him. Sensing Krillin's kick, and knowing Tien well enough, Turles bent backwards, using his opponents bodies to spring himself into the air, and free of their pincer movement.
Tien quickly suppressed and split his energy. As the four of him spread throughout the room Krillin summoned his ki discs.
Turles backed himself into a corner, facing Krillin, not certain of the other signatures he was feeling. "Bring it."
Moments later, he was considering surrender. He was being struck all over by beams that he couldn't feel incoming. He could feel their sources, but the attack themselves just didn't have a presence. They weren't going to hurt him, but they were distracting him from the threat, Krillin's Kienzen. It felt like being swarmed by invisible bees while trying to avoid a master swordsman.
Above the gravity chamber, Goku glanced at the cameras. '25 times, that's good.' "Gohan?"
"Um, just over 28?"
"Very good. Can you narrow it down any further?"
"Less than 28.35?"
"Yup, you're almost there. 3 squared is 9, times pi, between 28 and 28.35. Come on, you got this."
Gohan put his chin to his chest, rocking forwards and backwards. "28, um, point 27?"
Goku slammed the book closed. "That's right! Now, let's get you some brain food."
Bulma used tweezers to set a wire, before soldering it in place. 'I was still using a calculator at his age, heck, I don't even think I started geometry until I was years older than him.'
Snapping the shell closed, she put the dragon radar with its companion.
Even more days later.
Tien and Krillin bounced off walls, jumped over fixtures, and suppressed their power as much as they could while still functioning in 50 times gravity.
Gohan froze for a moment. Hearing someone slide their foot he resumed his attack, this time contacting Tien, and pushing him against the chamber wall. He vanished.
'I hate that technique.' Gohan thought as he caught an incoming fist from behind. Pulling the fist forward, he knocked Krillin off balance and elbowed him in the stomach.
A pair of Tien's waited, as still as they could, on the other side of the room. Krillin got back to his feet and silently flew to the side, knowing Gohan could sense him. Landing, he lowered his energy signature again and prepared for more.
Gohan picked his target and rushed Tien again. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the second Tien didn't move, and impacted the robot arm before he could get to the most likely real target of his attack.
Above the gravity chamber, Turles and Goku were sharing a table of food. "So, after the war ended we learned their technology, took it for ourselves, and set out into the galaxy. Depending on who you ask we were either looking to destroy the galaxy, make it our own, or just hoping to find someone else strong enough to challenge the empire."
Goku slurped down some noodles and nodded. "So, they let themselves get beat, so their bodies would get stronger, until they could beat the Tuffles. That's smart."
"I was in the group of Saiyans that first encountered the Frieza Force. I saw the writing on the wall, and when King Vegeta agreed to work for him, I knew I had to leave." Turles confessed. "My next mission? I had my chance, so I took it. If I knew I'd be captured like I was, I don't know if I would have made the same choice. At least with other Saiyans I stood a chance… but I made my bed, and I slept in it."
"I can respect that." Goku added his empty bowl to a stack of several more. "That's not any kind of life. What, what was Raditz like? Were you close?"
"No, we weren't..." Turles was cut off by a bell ringing in the sleeping quarters.
A swear was followed by the sound of shattering glass, and then by Bulma leaving the room, hair a mess, barely dressed. "We're almost there." She took her seat.
Looking over her monitors, she did a quick scan of the ship. Seeing the gravity chamber in use, she drew back a slider and hit a microphone button. "Playtime is over, boys, we're almost there."
"Well, it's about time." Turles said through a mouth full of food.
"Excuse me?" Bulma looked back at him. "If you don't like my ship, feel free to get your own. You know where the airlock is."
"I have my own." He leaned back in his chair. "I just didn't have a crew for it." 'Dang, she's a good cook.'
"Then stop complaining." Bulma returned to her controls.
Gohan, Krillin, and Tien entered the main room, mouths watering at the site of the half-eaten meal.
"How long until we land?" Gohan asked.
"We could be on the ground in half an hour, or less." Bulma said. "We'll need to find a suitable place to land first."
"Can we do a power level scan before we land?" Tien asked.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea. We'll scan while we look for a landing place. Should only take one orbit, hopefully." Bulma pulled a pair of handles back, and rotated a dial before sitting back in her chair again. "Goku, we're lucky your experiment didn't throw the scouter out of calibration. If we had it actually try to quantify your power, you would have destroyed it. Probably would have damaged the ship, too. For safety sake, we're just leaving it in color mode, guys."
As the blue planet came into view through the window, the scouter began to light up as well. The screen showed a planet covered in life, both plants and animals.
As they began circling the planet, the scouter rotated as well. Several spots appeared to be clusters of civilization, not large, and not many, but very strong, at least compared to Earth.
"It looks like small villages, 1 to 2 dozen people in each, maybe half a dozen." The scouter continued scanning. "I'd put the stronger Namekians at around 3,000 or so."
"3,000? We can handle that, even if there are a dozen of them." Turles said.
"We're not here to fight the Namekians." Goku said. "If we must, we will fight Frieza's men, but we are here to ask to use their Dragon Balls… we won't force them to do anything. Am I clear, Turles?"
Turles nodded.
"There's a pair of power levels all by themselves, a low one, a few hundred, and a massive one. I don't want to risk trying to lock on to an exact number, but maybe 40,000 or so?" Bulma announced.
"That must be Frieza." Gohan said. "If that's ..."
"Frieza's already here, and that's not him, Gohan." Bulma interrupted the boy. "A few dozen people are clustered together, all over 1,000, a pair that must be over 20,000, and one, a big one, it's probably where Goku was when he lost control. About 500,000 or 600,000."
"That's Frieza." Turles said. 'We're too late. We need to get out of here before they detect us."
"We're not leaving, Turles." Goku said. "You knew this was a possibility, and now it's a reality. Bulma said he's about where I was when I, I lost control. That power is in me, and that was a fraction of it. I'm sure if it comes to it, we can win. We're still going to try to avoid a conflict if we can help it though, understood?"
Turles eyed the bowl of fruit on the table. "We should power up before we go then. We've improved quite a bit, due to zenkai and training, but we need every advantage we have.
Tien stepped in front of the table. "You're not going to get this fruit, Turles, not yet."
"If I die, and I will if we fight Frieza like this, I'm going to haunt your bald ass." Turles glowered at Tien. "If you don't let me eat it, why don't you guys? You know how much power increase it gives, nearly 16 times. Why not use it before we land? Sure, you still won't be at the same level as Frieza, but then his underlings wouldn't be a risk too."
"No one is eating the fruit, not unless it's needed." Bulma said. "Yes, we know it has positives for Saiyans, but that doesn't mean anything for humans. Sure, it's almost certainly going to have the same impact, but if we don't need to risk it, we're not going to risk it, not this far from help."
Gohan shifted in place. He knew from listening to Turles that the fruit didn't just help Saiyans, but every species known to have eaten it grew greatly in power, but he didn't think to ask about the downsides. The fruit in his pocket felt much heavier now. 'Can they see my pocket isn't empty?' he wondered, and hoped against.
"Anyway, we're going to land over there." Bulma pointed at her screen. "Not on the opposite side of the planet from Frieza, but close. We'll be between two villages, and not too far from that larger power level we detected. Hopefully, it's a Namekian, and not one of Frieza's soldiers."
"You know, all of Frieza's soldiers will have scouters, right?" Turles noted.
"That's why we've been practicing ki control." Goku said. "Scouters are fairly easy to trick. We can't read as zero, but we can easily be overlooked."
"I'm not there yet." Turles tensed. "I can barely sense power levels. I can't get mine that low. I'll stick out like a sore thumb."
"Then just blow up any scouters that get close to you." Goku laughed. "If they can't sense or detect you, then it doesn't matter if you can't hide your power level, right?"
"You say that like it's easy. If I'm close enough to blow up their scouter, then they're close enough to attack me. The grunts don't scare me, but Frieza has a pair of righthand men, Dodoria and Zarbon, and they scare me."
"Bulma, you mentioned the scouters getting damaged by high energy readings. Could we overpower their scouters, and make them unusable?" Tien asked.
"That should work. The only reason our ship scouter doesn't blow up is because it doesn't try to calculate high powers, it just shows them as being off the chart. The only reason I could guess how much energy the tree of might had was knowing the charts limit, and multiplying it by the number of pixels detected at that level." Bulma responded. "Worn scouters don't have that safety feature built in, at least the ones we salvaged don't. If you can power up enough, while they're scanning you, they'd likely blow up."
"Perfect, then we'll announce ourselves, blow up their scouters, retreat, and then start hunting the Dragon Balls?" Goku asked.
"That really defeats the purpose of trying NOT to fight." Gohan said. "If Frieza knows we're here, he'll hunt us like the Dragon Balls."
"It's a risk we'll have to take." Goku said. 'If we have to fight, then we will. If we have to raise the odds of a fight, to help Turles, then we'd be rude not to help him, right?'
"They'll probably have a ship mounted scouter, too." Bulma said.
"Perfect, Turles, I'll blow up their scouters, you blow up their ship, and then we retreat, deal?" Goku smiled at his uncle.
"Let's land first, and see if we're even noticed. I'm not approaching Frieza, or his ship, unless my life depends on it." Turles grimaced at the thought of antagonizing Frieza.
"Bulma, how did the other Dragon Radars come out?" Tien asked.
Bulma nodded. "One didn't turn out, so we've only got three." Opening a drawer she handed a radar to Goku, Gohan, and Tien.
"Bulma?" Gohan asked.
"Yes?"
"How am I supposed to use this?"
"Um..." Bulma chewed her lip. "Alright, Krillin, you get a radar after all."
"I wasn't going to get one?" Krillin asked.
"I planned on you and Turles staying with me, at the ship, for protection, while Goku, Gohan, and Tien went out for Dragon Balls. Guess it makes more sense for Gohan to stay, and you to go."
Krillin took the radar from Gohan, and turned it on.
"It won't show anything until we're on the planet, or at least it shouldn't." Bulma said, rotating her seat to face out the window again. "Ready, boys?"
A chorus of agreement came from behind her, and Bulma took manual control of the ship.
"Alright, let's get started." Bulma pushed a control forward and the ship rotated in space. Namek grew in their window, and they prepared to land.
Authors note: Next week, we land on Namek.
