Chapter 13

Guru's house

Goku, Dende, and the other child landed outside of Guru's home. Goku gently set Moori on the ground as Dende and his brother ran towards the base of the structure.

Nail met the boys at the base, wrapping both of them in a hug. "Dende, Cargo, I am so glad to see you!" Dende dropped the dragon ball and Nail lifted them off the ground. "You're okay, you're both okay."

"I'm okay too." Moori smiled. "Thanks to Goku."

Nail looks over Goku, head to toe. 'He looks just like the other saiyan, but no tail.' "Thank you, Goku. Thank you for saving my brothers."

Goku scratches his neck, still holding Moori. "Don't mention it. I'm sorry I didn't get involved sooner."

"No, Goku. You got involved, and that is what matters. No one will fault you for not acting sooner." Moori said. "Nail, may we visit Grand Elder Guru? Tsuno suggested Goku visit him, and I agree with him."

The dragon ball began hovering around Nail. "Of course, Elder. His friends have already arrived, and Guru has already deemed many of them worthy. Please, follow me."

Nail carried the boys, Goku carried Moori, and the dragon ball floated between them. Entering the main chamber they were swiftly elevated to the same level as the rest. Goku wasn't surprised to see Turles, but wasn't happy to see everyone else.

"Gohan, I told you to leave. Turles, you told me..." Goku started.

Turles scowled. "I told him to leave. I can't be held responsible for what he, or the others, do." Smiling at his nephew. "You can't tell me that if you were told to leave, that you would?"

Goku sighed and shook his head. "No, I probably wouldn't have either."

Guru cleared his throat. "Welcome. I am glad to see that you are all here, and in good health."

Goku hurriedly bowed to Guru. "Thank you for having us." Goku took a moment to feel his friends and family, and was astounded by their power. "and thank you for what you've done for us."

Guru waved Goku out of his bow, and Moori approached. The two began speaking Namekian, and Nail, Dende, and Cargo listened intently.

Gohan hugged his father. "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you."

Goku squatted down and hugged his son. 'No, no you're not.' "Wow, you've sure grown over the last half hour, haven't you?"

"Really?" Gohan asked his father.

"Yes, really." Goku said. "You're amazing."

"Sorry to interrupt." Turles lied. "What happened with Frieza? I felt something, but, I'm not sure what.."

"That first village we found, Moori's. Well, Frieza was attacking it, him and his men. He had two right hand men, and a bunch of foot soldiers." Goku took a deep breath. "King Kai told me to stay out of Frieza's way, and that I couldn't get involved." Goku released the hug and studied his sons face. "King Kai was wrong. He may be a god, but that doesn't mean he always knows best. Remember that, son, just because someone is older than you, or has seen more than you, doesn't mean they're always right. No one is perfect, and no authority is above questioning."

"Frieza, Goku, Frieza. What happened?" Turles interrupted again.

"It was tough, but I was staying out of it, until Frieza instructed his men to attack the children. I had to get involved. I went to fight Frieza, but he didn't fight back. He feels incredibly powerful, but, I don't get it. He didn't land a single blow on me. I was going to use Kaio-ken, narrow the gap between us, but I was able to tap into some of that power from the planet we found you on. I lost control, again, I wasn't myself, but Frieza won't be bothering us again."

Nail's attention was torn between the recounting of the battle, and Dende. Dende approached Guru, and without hesitating Guru unlocked the boy's potential. The group continued speaking in Namekian.

Turles dug his finger nails in to his palms. "No way. Not a chance. It is not possible that you fought Frieza, and you're still alive. You're full of."

"Pale skin, purple helmet thing, and these on his head?" Goku pulled the detached horn out of his pocket and held it out for everyone to see. 'Why did I do this?'

Turles' hands began to shake and his eyes and jaw went slack. "That's Frieza's horn? You killed Frieza? You took down the Frieza empire, and walk in here as if this doesn't change anything? As if this doesn't change everything?" Turles reached out, and slowly brushed his finger tips along the matte black horn. Turles let his leg slide back, and he sat on his feet, looking up at Goku, killer of Frieza.

"Not exactly. He won't be bothering us again though." Goku returned the horn to his pocket. "I was surprised how easily the anger took over, but I didn't kill him. He's in no condition to fight anymore, and if he is, I can take him."

"You, you let him live?" Turles' eyes narrowed. "You had him defeated, you could have killed him, and you let him live?"Turles shot to his feet, getting in Goku's face. "Why in the world wouldn't you finish the job? Do you have any idea how much danger you've put us in?"

"He's smart, I assume." Goku put a hand on Turles' chest and slowly put space between them. "He knows how easily I beat him. He knows I won't let him hurt Namek or her people. He will leave."

"You're crazy, you are absolutely crazy. You're crazy, and you're stupid." Turles' aura flared. "I don't know where those genetics came from, but..." Turles reached up and pulled at his hair. "Strong enough to beat Frieza, but stupid enough to let him live? Your father, your father would." Turles growled, which rose to a scream.

The Namekians stopped their conversation until Turles finished, before picking up where they had left off.

"Why didn't you kill him when you had the chance?" Gohan asked, his voice tight.

"He didn't need to die." Goku said plainly.

"What if he comes back, and you're not around?" Gohan asked. "What is stopping him when you're gone?"

"Gohan, he won't come back. The universe is a big place, this planet isn't safe. Predators seek easy prey, and Namek is not easy." Goku said.

"There, there is so much wrong with that." It was Gohan's turn to yell. "First of all, Vegeta could have destroyed Earth, easily. We all can, actually. What's stopping Frieza from destroying Namek with us on it after he leaves?" Gohan got closer to his father, stabbing his chest with his finger. "Secondly, you're a hypocrite. You say we need to help people, and that if we ever want others to help us, we must help them. Well, what the hell did you do? You mark Namek as safe, maybe, and let Frieza go on rampaging across the galaxy?" Gohan closed his fist and began hitting his father, pushing him back. "It's not our fight, I don't want to get involved, but you do. You wanted to get involved, but you didn't. You protect those who can help us, and what, who cares about the rest of the galaxy? You're a hypocrite, and a disgrace to everything you've tried teaching me. I may not agree with you, but i listened to you." Gohan began crying. "Your actions speak louder than your words, and your actions say screw the galaxy, I'm going to pretend to stick to my moral code." Gohan kept hammering his hands on Goku's chest, no longer pushing him back, just bouncing off.

Goku wrapped his son in his arms again, taking his lashings. He looked around at everyone else. The older Namekians were slowly shaking their heads, as their young ones were quietly crying. Krillen and Tien were pointedly looking away, and Turles was staring him down.

Nail noticed the boys were crying, and took them in his arms again, speaking directly in to their ears. The boys listened, and slowly began to calm down.

"While I disagree with the tantrum, I absolutely agree with Gohan." Turles said. "Frieza has caused more pain to the universe than anyone else I know of, and I'm a saiyan warrior. By not doing what you could, when you could." Turles made eye contact with Goku. "Anyone else that dies due to him, anyone else that hurts because of him, is because of you. You had your chance to end his iron grip on the galaxy, and you didn't take it."

Guru cleared his throat again. "Regardless of recent discussion, I am impressed with what Moori has told me. Goku, I have blessed your son and your friends. Please, open your mind to me, and let me see if I can do the same for you?"

Goku looked at the Namekian, and back at his son. He had stopped hitting him, and was just crying in to his god given gi. "What exactly will you be doing?"

"I will read your past, live your life, and see if you are someone we can trust. If so, I will draw out any potential that you have yet to tap in to." Guru gestured to Krillen, Tien, and Gohan. "You can see the impact it had on them."

"My potential?" Goku thought about the energy he had within. "Can you tell how much potential there is, before drawing it out? Can you bring it out slowly, or does it need to be all at once?"

Guru scratched his chin. "I can see the potential before drawing it out, and I will not draw it out without consulting you first. I am not sure if I can limit it to anything less than all at once though. That kind of situation has never come up before. Please, approach and I will see what can be done."

Goku gently pulled Gohan's hands off his clothes, and the boy collapsed to a crying, snot filled, ball. 'This hurts.' He thought to himself. Goku approached Guru, and stand by his side.

Guru placed his hand on Goku's head and freed himself to the saiyan's past. Bardock and Gine. Grandpa Gohan, Bulma, and Master Roshi. Krillen and Chi-Chi. Tien, his master, and his master's brother. King Piccolo, his children, and Kami. Piccolo JR, Raditz, and King Kai? Nappa, Vegeta, and the battle, if it could be called that, with Frieza.

"I have seen many things in my life." Guru said. "I don't think I've seen anything as interesting as you though, Goku, Kakarot."

"What did you see?" Goku scratched his hair where Guru had touched him.

"I saw more than usual. You have trained very well, and I, I saw it all. You aren't familiar with the history of your people, I mean the saiyans, are you?" Guru let his shoulders sag and sat back in his chair.

"No, I was raised on Earth, by humans." Goku said.

"Turles, are you aware of the legend of the super saiyan?" Guru asked the angry saiyan.

"Yes, I am." Turles said. "Every thousand years a saiyan is born with unimaginable strength. The super saiyan is a furious warrior with no match throughout the universe."

"Goku, our people have a similar legend. The super namekian. This story I know to be true, and the legend of the super saiyan, I believe to be true as well." Guru said.

"You don't think Goku is a super saiyan, do you?" Turles asked.

"No, not yet." Guru closed his eyes and thought of his brother, Slug. "Goku, I see the potential within you, to become a super saiyan. I think you've tapped in to this potential before, at least twice now."

"That would be when I lost control, when I thought Gohan was … and when Frieza attacked Dende?" Goku asked.

"Yes. I can attempt to unlock this potential for you, however..."

"I don't know if that's a good idea." Goku interrupted. "I don't know if I'd be able to control myself now, since I wasn't able to previously."

"When Frieza could be planning to destroy the planet, how could more power be a bad thing?" Krillen finally spoke. "I know it's hard for you to control, but you're not going on killing sprees, you're just not holding back."

"So far when I've tapped in to that power I had a clear target, an objective. What happens if I access the power, without something to focus it on?" Goku aired his fears.

"Normally it is relatively easy for me to unlock someone's hidden power.\" Guru said. "With you though, Goku, I don't know if I'd be able to. I think the walls around it are too strong still. I could help you get stronger, so when you are ready you can burst through the limit, however it is beyond my power to grant you full access to that well of power. Would you like me to do what I can for you?"

Gohan was calming himself down, and was able to manage three words. "Do it, dad."

"If the power won't be the one causing you to lose your mind, why wouldn't you take it? It might help you control yourself when you gain even more power." Turles asked.

Tien chimed in. "Turles is right. The power could save us." 'Should I bring up the fruit?'

Goku looked up at the large Namekian. "Alright, let's do this. How does it work?"

Guru placed a hand on Goku's head once more, and it began to glow white. The energy entered Goku, but had no effect. Guru placed his other hand on Goku and focused harder. Slowly Guru's second hand began to glow, and as he began to sweat, Goku began to glow as well.

Goku closed his eyes. "Thank you, Guru." Looking inward he found the ball of energy within himself. Touching it, his skin began to glow gold, and his hair beham to stand up. "This feels, weird." Goku opened his eyes and looked himself over. "I still think this is just the surface, but it feels, it feels overwhelming. It feels like this power could crush me if I wasn't careful.

"I wasn't able to have as large of an impact as I had hoped." Guru coughed and took a moment to continue. "Your friend's powers multiplied more than your own. You did not have much potential left. Don't be disheartened though, for as you grow, so does your potential. This, where you are now, is a stepping stone. I can not see beyond it, but the next foundation is near."

Aboard Frieza's ship

Dodoria sat at a curved work station, set in the corner of a straight interior, and curved exterior, wall. Cui sat opposite of him, working on his own project. A large round window sat between them, looking over Namek, and up towards space. Frieza's thrown looked out this window.

Dodoria was on a video call, an armored, horned, alien was on the monitor. "45 minutes, Captain, and that was 15 minutes ago." Dodoria paused and listened. "Perfect."

A few moments passed and Dodoria spoke again. "I can't answer that." Cui couldn't hear Captain Ginyu's question, but he heard the fear in Dodoria's answer. Looking over, the pink alien was three shades lighter.

"We'll see you then." Dodoria said, switching his monitor off. "Cui, any luck on finding out who that Goku is?"

Cui quickly looked back at his own display. "No, sir. I can't even find a species. Well, he's close to humans, from Earth, a planet Vegeta and his crew were wiped out on, but he's far too powerful to be one of them."

"Look up saiyans. He looked like one, except he didn't have a tail." Dodoria stood and walked to Frieza's thrown. Admiring the view he heard Cui continue typing, and the door behind him slide open.

"Is he on his way? Is he bringing everyone?" Zarbon asked, Walking up to Dodoria's side they both enjoyed the view.

"Yes, he'll be here within 25 minutes." Dodoria said. "Why don't we ever get the fast ships?"

"Because if their experimental craft blows up, they can survive in space. You, and I, can't." Zarbon said. "We can't risk them being delayed, and not having the dragon balls when Lord Frieza." Zarbon thought before continuing. "We can't risk not having the balls when Lord Frieza, requested them."

"We need to handle this ourselves, no holding back." Dodoria said. "We have to go all out, and we have to hope not to encounter that person."

Zarbon brushed some dust off his shoulder armor. "You don't mean?"

"Yes, I expect you to transform." Dodoria said.

Zarbon shot a glance at Cui. "You've seen and heard far more than you should today, Cui. Make sure you don't speak a word of Lord Frieza, or me."

"Yes, sir." Cui jumped to his feet, saluting.

Zarbon nodded, and both he and Dodoria left the room. When they were gone Cui sat back down and resumed his search.

Cui scratched his head. 'How could he be a saiyan, he doesn't have a tail?' Navigating to the appropriate database he began to search what they knew of saiyans.

'Gain power when beaten and not killed.' Cui scanned down the list. 'Extremely high average power level, but low potential.' He continued looking. 'Can not transform without their tails.'

"That's it." Cui said. "He's a saiyan that lost his ability to transform." Cui switched windows and began looking through a list of notable saiyans. Looking through the page he saw familiar faces, 'Nappa, Vegeta and his father, Raditz, and … there you are. Bardock.'

Cui read through the saiyan's file, and watched the attached video 'He died, how could he be here?' He stretched and yawned. 'Maybe the Namekians wished him back? Why'd he change his name? I need a second opinion.'

Cui attached Bardock's file to a message, and wrote a short description of the events so far on Namek, leaving out mention of dragon balls, and not daring to mention Frieza's encounter. 'Let's see what you think of this, Salza.'

Guru's home

"I sense the invaders are on the move once more." Guru said. "Nail, go to Loa's village, and protect them and their dragon ball."

"Sir, who will protect you if I leave?" Nail asked. "No disrespect to Moori and the children, but they are hardly able to stop these monsters."

As things had calmed down, Dende approached Moori, putting his hands over the elder.

"I trust Goku and his friends. As long as they are here, I shall live." Guru coughed. "You must be able to sense their power?"

"If this is a request, I can not do it for you." Nail said. "You are too ill to be left alone."

Dende's hands began to radiate distortion, which enveloped Moori's legs. As Nail and Guru spoke, Goku and the others watched him heal his elder.

"I am sorry, Nail, but it is not a request. Go, help your brothers. Once the battle ends find Tsuno, his village will be the next target." Guru said.

Nail gritted his teeth, nodded, and began to exit. "Yes, sir, it will be done."

"Sir, if they're attacking again, I'd like to finish this myself." Goku said. "I think my son is right, I think Frieza may be too dangerous to be left alive, and I don't think Nail will be able to do it himself, even after our fight.

"Goku, I, we, appreciate the offer. However I don't believe Frieza himself is part of this attack, and Nail will be more than capable of defending our people. For you, I have another task in mind." Guru didn't speak again until Nail had left the building and was on his way to Loa's village.

"Okay, so what do we do now?" Goku asked.

"If Frieza isn't able to fight." Gohan said, wiping the last of his tears away. "Now would be a good time to get his dragon balls?"

"That is correct, Gohan." Guru smiled at the half-breed. "I don't think there will be another chance like this, and I'd ask your father to take advantage of the opening."

"Alright, so Frieza has 3 dragon balls, and we have 3. Nail will protect the last one while we get Frieza's … then we can make our wish." Goku said, punching his palm. "This is it, we can do this."

"Yes, however." Guru pointed at Goku. "I need you to do something for us before you can make a wish. The task is not time sensitive, but your wish is."

"Alright, what can we do for you?" Goku asked. "And, what do you mean the wish is time sensitive? I think we get up to a year to make the wish, don't we?"

With the help of Dende and Cargo Moori got to his feet. "What he means, Goku, is that his health is failing, and Grand Elder Guru won't be around for much longer. Our dragon balls are tied to him, and once he passes, the balls will be inactive until more are crafted."

Guru nodded in agreement. "As was pointed out, once you leave this planet there will be nothing stopping Frieza from destroying Namek. As long as Frieza lives, I will not allow you, and no one would allow Frieza, to make a wish." Guru coughed. "The only wish I think would be appropriate at this point would be to wish that our planet and its environment couldn't be destroyed."

"You want me to kill Frieza?" Goku asked.

Turles and Gohan sighed.

"We'll do it, sir." Gohan said.

Loa's village

Nail landed in a familiar village. It wasn't his, nor one he's been to before, but the buildings were the same, the surroundings were the same, and the Namekians were different, but same in spirit. Nail went to the elder's house and knocked on the door.

Loa, a stick thin, pink skinned, woman opened the door. A single antenna grew from the top of her head, hanging down her back. A pair of Namekian children stopped running around behind her, and looked at Nail.

"Greetings, Nail. It's nice of you to visit finally." Loa said. "It has been too long since we have seen each other. Please, come in."

"I'm sorry I couldn't be here under better circumstances, but Grand Elder Guru sent me to protect you, and your dragon ball." Nail said. The children behind Loa exchanged worried glances.

"Well." Loa said. "That sounds quite concerning. What is going on?"

"More aliens are invading Namek." Nail said. "We need to evacuate the village, immediately, and leave the dragon ball with me. They shouldn't chase you if I'm the obvious target."

"They're after the dragon balls?" Loa said. "If we leave it with you, you will be in danger. I apologize, Nail, but I won't abide by Guru's will. I will not put that on your shoulders. We will arrange to evacuate, but I will stay with the ball, and you will protect the others.

"I'll be as safe here as anywhere." Nail protested. "If I can't stop them, no one else could either. Please, Loa, while I agree that the lives of our people are far more valuable than the dragon ball, in this instance the loss of the dragon balls will mean the destruction of our planet, and the likely subjugation of the entire galaxy."

"They can leave, I won't." Loa said. "I know I can't make you leave, but, please, as a favor to an old friend, leave while you are able to. You know that they won't kill me." Loa turned to face the children. "Children, please do Mr. Nail a favor. As quickly as you can spread the word that the village is to be abandoned, immediately. Tell them I apologize for interrupting their routine, but this is a matter of life and death."

The children both nodded. "Yes, ma'am." Loa stepped aside and they ran through the door, nearly bowling over Nail.

"They miss you and the others. We all do." Loa told Nail.

"I'm sorry, Loa, but it's not the time to discuss this. Please, retrieve the ball. We need to make it obvious that we have it." Nail said.

"We? So, you're not leaving?" Loa said. "Once again, your people are disregarded for a few shiny bobbles." Loa went in her house, and moments later came back with the dragon ball.

The pair walked side by side, Loa touching Nail's arm as they walked. They watched as word spread from house to house, and in to the fields. In a few minutes the village was emptied, and while villagers wished Loa luck, no one addressed Nail.

"Let me hold the ball." Nail told Loa.

"No." Loa said. "I am sorry, but this ball is mine, it does not belong to you, and I will not give it to you."

"Will you give it to me?" Dodoria appeared behind Loa without being noticed, and hammered his fist through her chest, punching clear through to the other side.

Nails eyes went wide. 'I was distracted, he shouldn't have been able to sneak up on us.' He quickly looked around.

Loa looked down, blood pouring out of her wound, nerves firing at maximum capacity. Looking at her assaulter her vision gained a red tint. "Why?" She asked.

"Good hit, Dodoria." Zarbon called out, flying in from behind Nail.

The four of them stayed in their line. Zarbon stared down Nail, Loa's back was to Nail's, and Dodoria's fist stayed in her.

Loa spat blood in Dodoria's face. Dodoria watched carefully as Loa held the ball out to her side. Swinging her arm wide she went to smash it. Reflexively Dodoria pulled his hand free and grabbed for the ball. Free of impalement Loa pulled the ball in to a one armed hug, spun slightly, and directed her downward swing in to Dodoria's head. "Buy me dinner first." She said. Loa put her offensive hand over her stomach, and when she pulled it away her body was restored. "You look surprised? Didn't you know? My people can regenerate."

Zarbon began powering up. "We know you can regenerate, but we also know it's limited. All we need to do is crush your heads, and you won't be coming back. Give us the ball, now, or things get ugly."

"Over my dead body." Nail said. "Loa, give me the ball and get out of here."

"Over my dead body, Nail.." Loa said. "This is my ball, and you're not getting it, you couldn't get it."

"At least get off the battleground." Nail said. "You don't belong here, Loa."

"Fine, but if you die, I won't let you live it down." Loa wrapped her other arm around the ball. "If you guys kill him, you'll have to deal with me. If you kill me, you can have the dragon ball. Fair?" Loa stuck her tongue out at Dodoria.

Dodoria growled in frustration and shot a fast, precise, beam of energy at Loa. Not bothering to dodge she allowed it to hit her. The beam was narrow, barely wide enough to take out her left eye and nose. The beam passed clear through her skull, and out the back.

As it faded she laughed, both at the look on Dodoria's face, and the sensation of her body regenerating. "I've had worse from better." She mocked. "Now, I believe he said over HIS dead body? You may want to focus on that."

"I can make that happen." Dodoria muttered under his breath. Looking at Nail he had a clean shot towards his back. Opening his mouth he shot an oral blast at the Namekian.

Sensing the attack, Nail spun in place, batting it into a near by building, and returning to facing Zarbon.

"Why did you come here?" Nail demanded of Zarbon.

"We just like blue grass." Zarbon pushed a hair out of his face.

"Stop playing around!" Nail demanded.

"Are you sure? Is that really what you want?" Zarbon asked.

"You come to my planet, you slaughter our people, and you play with us? What I want is for you to leave, or at least take this seriously." Nail said.

"You can't spell slaughter without laughter, so a little humor should be expected. However, if you insist." Zarbon said. His muscles began to inflate, and his head and face did the same. His aura flared up and grew in power. Within a heartbeat Zarbon's sleek, muscular, form was replaced with a disgusting, yet similar, form. "Are you scared yet, Namekian?"

"Not at all." Nail smiled. Looking back he saw Dodoria slowly sneaking up on him, and Loa sitting atop her house, ball in hand.

Zarbon took advantage of the momentary distraction and rushed Nail. A powerful punch was blocked by Nail's crossed arms. Forced backwards by the impact Nail stopped his slide, bringing a knee up in to Zarbon's gut, and forcing him to evade to the side. Following up with a kick to the ribs Nail sent Zarbon flying towards Dodoria, who dodged out of the path of the projectile teammate.

"Come on, Zarbon, there's only one of him." Dodoria let the momentum of his dodge carry him away from Zarbon, and got Nail back between him and Zarbon.

Zarbon and Dodoria exchange glances, and with a minimum amount of movement they prepared and fired matching beams, sandwiching Nail between their attacks. Nail thought something like this may happen, and he quickly turned sideways, launching his own beams at each of them. Individually he could win this struggle. Against both of them, his beams were slowly being pushed back. 'Loa, if you had any combat abilities at all, now would be a good time to use them..' Nail thought.

'This is bad.' With the beams closing in, Nail thought quickly. He began to sweat, and his arms began to ache. Readjusting his feet Nail gave a push with his beams before stopping both, and quickly ducking. He felt the heat as the beams collided above his head. Lao was watching from her perch, smiling down at him. As Nail watched Zarbon's blast began overpowering Dodoria's, and it wouldn't be long until they caught on. 'Thankfully they can't sense energy.'

"You are pathetic!" Zarbon boasted.

"Zarbon, help!" Dodoria yelled. "He must be focusing on me, I can't hold him back for much longer!"

Nail chuckled to himself, and staying low he rolled out from under the clash. Figuring Zarbon was the bigger threat he crouched low, and prepared a narrow counter attack. Aiming for the same spot that he was kicked, Nail shot his attack at Zarbon's ribs, and scored a direct hit. Zarbon howled in pain, releasing his beam. Dodoria, feeling the resistance stop, pushed with all his might. Zarbon fell out of the direct path of Dodoria's attack, but was still clipped as he went down.

"DAMN YOU!" Zarbon yelled at the Namekian. "I'll kill you!"

Dodoria didn't hesitate, not caring his partner was injured. Dodoria brought his fist down on Nail's head, dropping him to the ground. Following up with a stomp attack, Dodoria missed, and was sent flying by a powerful kick from Nail.

Getting to his feet Nail saw Zarbon rushing in from behind. 'Why can't they attack head on?' Pretending not to notice Zarbon, Nail went to charge up after Dodoria. As Zarbon swung his punch Nail grabbed it out of the air, pulling Zarbon's disgusting skull in to his own, dazing the monster. A quick jab to the ribs sent him back to the ground.

Inspired by Dodoria, Nail went to stomp on Zarbon's head. Also failing, Nail was caught from behind by Dodoria, a full nelson. "Now, I've got him!" Dodoria called out.

Zarbon ignored the shooting pain in his side and got back to his feet. "Not so tough anymore, are you?" Zarbon wound up and punched Nail in the ribs. "How's it feel?" Zarbon laughed as his next punch sent several of Nail's teeth flying. "You." Zarbon punched his ribs again. "Are." A direct hit to Nail's nose. "Pathetic." Zarbon prepared an energy blast.

Nail tensed, and dragged his legs up in front of him. Kicking out he put himself at the center of an explosive wave, forcing Dodoria and Zarbon away. "You're in my way." Nail spun in place, catching Dodoria off balance with a series of rapid punches. As Dodoria fell towards the ground Nail stopped him with a sweeping kick to the back of his knees, followed by several aggressive kicks to his back. Dodoria went flying into the air once again. As he slowed Nail appeared in front of him, a devastating blow sent him rocketing towards the ground. A statuesque nail summoned a blade of ki, and met Dodoria at the ground. "I doubt you're as tough as Loa." Dodoria would have responded, but his heart, lunges, and most other major organs were either gone or unusable.

Nail threw Dodoria's corpse off his arm. "You're next." Nail pointed his blood soaked arm at Zarbon.

"You'll pay for that!" Zarbon screamed. "No one attacks the Frieza Force and gets away with it!"

"No I won't, because I just did." Nail crossed his arms.

Zarbon flew in to the air and began preparing a blast in each hand. 'You couldn't stop me before, you can't stop me now.'

'He's crazy.' Nail thought. 'That much power could destroy the planet.'

"It's time for you to die." Zarbon brought his hands together, dwarfing the size of his previous blast.

"Before I die." Nail uncrossed his arms, summoning ki and pointing it at Loa. "Tell me, what happens to you if this dragon ball is destroyed? You know you need all seven of them, right?"

"You wouldn't dare!" Zarbon shouted down.

"We've had access to them for, well, all of our history. We don't need them." Nail smiled at Zarbon.

"You'll kill your partner!"

Nail chuckled. "Do you really think so? You think that would kill her? Your buddy there punched through her heart, and destroyed her brain. She's not going to die if I do this, will you?"

"You haven't killed me yet, and that was when you were trying." Loa smiled. "Even a fraction of your power would destroy the ball, and I'd be unscathed. You put your full might in to that and you'll be building me a new home, but I'll be fine."

"There you have it, monster." Nail put more power in to his attack. "Are you willing to risk it? Even if you beat me, what happens to you when you go back to your master and tell him the balls are no longer active?"

Zarbon snarled and powered down his attack. "I guess we're at a stalemate then."

"Wrong." Nail smirked. "You lose." Nail absorbed his blast and blasted up towards Zarbon. Experience took over and Zarbon put up his cross block, expecting a heavy punch. He was surprised as Nail soared to his side, and he was unconscious as Nail's elbow hit the base of his skull.
