AN: This chapter features a gamer Elena who can beat the guys at games though she hasn't been playing since her pregnancy and it was inspired by the fact that I do like gaming and the actor who plays Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has a Twitch channel where he plays games

Chapter Two:

The next morning Elena was curled up, her head resting on Elijah's chest and he was running his fingers through her hair, in an effort to calm himself down after watching the first two episodes of what was supposedly happened while they were in Mystic Falls.

However, it was also a ton of crap.

Elena wasn't a doppelganger-Caroline was-and he held little attraction to her.

Second was that his Elena had been a Siphoner witch who was on par with his mother power wise though she had been forced to turn by Damon Salvatore. He had to hide his smile as his little witch kept beating him up with anything in her reach. Kissing her forehead, he smiled as she burrowed her face into his chest and he looked over her to find Hayley was asleep, her anger at what they had seen growing rapidly only to evaporate when their Elena touched her arm, calming her down.

He smirked as Hayley opened her eyes to stare blearily at him. She was going to say something when Kol shouted, "damn Legos!"

"Don't wanna wake up," Elena murmured sleepily. "I wanna sleep more." As Elijah kissed her forehead and Hayley kissed her collarbone, Elena smiled.

"Go back to sleep sweetheart," Elijah whispered. "Hayley and I will take care of everything." Elena yawned and nodded, her eyes still closed.

Kol was infuriated as one of the Lego pieces his brother Klaus bought felt like it was digging into his foot when he stepped on one while going down the steps. The red Lego was a sign of trouble for the coming storm of his hybrid brother.

Picking it out of his foot, he was glowering at the mess his daughter made but had to keep taking in deep breaths to calm down. His wife appeared behind him, her eyes narrowed.

"You're waking up everyone in the house," she whispered angrily. "Keep it down." He nodded but as he saw his daughter his anger slowly evaporated as she was sneezing. "Can you take her temperature?" He took her in his arms and he smiled.

"Sure," he said softly. "I can do it."

Esther was in the kitchen as she saw her youngest son taking care of his daughter and acting all parental towards her. It was sweet and as she had hung up with her first born daughter Freya (who was living in New Orleans with her wife Keelin) she couldn't help but be happier.

"Do you need help?" She asked him as she took a drink of her chamomile tea. The smell of coffee recently had made every pregnant woman (and a pregnant Jeremy) in the house become increasingly sick so it was banned whenever someone was pregnant. "I'm great at making sure none of you are sick." She and Ansel had taken the initiative to take care of themselves by getting a flu shot (which was mildly alarming but Elena had been with them).

"I think that something's wrong with Hope," Kol fretted. "She seems a bit warmer than normal." Esther smirked and as she placed a wrist to her forehead. "What are you doing?"

"Her forehead seems normal to me," Esther mused. "She could have the sniffles." Esther smiled as the girl's nose looked red. "I think that's all it is though we should have her away from Danielle and Connor as well as Jeremy."

Kol nodded and ran a finger over Hope's cheek.

As the house that afternoon was slightly busy and the kids napping, Aurora held the box set of season one up.

"Episode three anyone?" She asked. "Friday Night Bites…in this case it's probably a literal sense." Elena was cuddled into Elijah's side while Hayley was combing her fingers over her mate's spine.

By the time the episode started, the voice over was slightly annoying though Elena added, "I may have been a Siphoner witch but I don't think a witch should be as powerful as the way they're portraying her and she had been practicing magic since she was ten."

"No witch can be as powerful as they're portraying her," Esther added. "It's against the laws of nature for any one supernatural species to have such power-hybrids are not even an exception since they've been around and have their own weaknesses."

Ansel nodded.

"The only 'supernatural creature' that could be considered exempt from this would be a deity or something yet they also have a weakness," Ansel added. "Though were you like that?" He asked Elena who shook her head.

"Between Care, Bonnie and I," Elena began, "I was extremely geeky-or as Bonnie put it one day 'so nerdy' due to enjoying video games and learning on how to become a YouTuber."

"You're a writer now and do children's stories as well as young adult and romance," Nadia said as she eyed her curiously. "Do you still play video games?"

"She utterly destroys us in Mario Kart and Mario Party," Klaus admitted and Elijah nodded. "It's why I go towards the horror games that she recommends I play and Elijah rarely plays video games…unless Elena and I want a battle in Mario." Elijah placed his face in Elena's hair though he wasn't embarrassed about it.

"I find it fascinating that she can beat Nik," Spencer added. "I guess I've never been near a female gamer except for a cousin." He looked contemplative before smiling. "She's happy and has a following on YouTube and Twitch-she's a witch." He added.

"Elena beats me as well," Kol hummed. "It's not funny," he added as Finn was laughing. "She's good."

"Don't ever play Tekken with her then," Jeremy groaned. "I get beat easily." Elena managed a weak smile before groaning and glowering at the television.

"I don't play anymore because," to emphasize why she placed a hand on her lower abdomen to indicate her pregnancy. "So I'm taking a break from video games and writing…as well as to get some inspiration."

The pregnancy had been affecting her a little more with a syndrome Klaus called it when Caroline was first pregnant 'pregnancy brain'.

It would seem hilarious unless you want to be in the way of a rampaging pregnant woman.

While they were back to the show they noticed that Stefan was on the football team and Caroline winced as Elena giggled softly.

"Why are you giggly?" Finn asked as he looked at her.

"It was never me he was staring at," she sing-songed. "He was showing off his muscles and just how good of a player he was to Caroline and Jeremy before turning his attention to Bonnie, Caroline and Jeremy." She wiggled her fingers.

Caroline groaned while Jeremy winced at the looks he was given.

"I probably never should have said hello to him," the two said in unison. "I probably never should have."

It didn't matter as the show showed Damon killing Tanner to the uproar and the groaning.

"Tell me the episode's over," Rebekah groaned as Nadia was running a hand through her hair. "Just seeing what they thought was happening is agonizing to see and I'm afraid for what they thought when we," she mentioned to her and her family members, "arrive."

"It could show me meeting Elijah," Elena hummed. "I had been kidnapped after being forced to turn and he had been helping me with my vampirism…before he spirited me away." Hayley nodded as the Original had spirited Elena to where Hayley was living and he had both of them living in one of his houses. "If they're going to change that then the show truly is a farce."

"I thought it was established that it was," Tristan said, as he kept quiet, feeling annoyed with the show. "I have already considered finding those who helped create it and kill them."

"Mind if I help?" Elijah asked while Ansel looked contemplative about helping. "I still owe Damon Salvatore a few punches for harming my little witch." Hayley nodded.

"I want to rip into his throat for that," Hayley whispered angrily as she was rubbing Elena's back in soothing circles. "He shouldn't be alive for that."

Esther eyed the brunette who was looking a bit drowsy.

"Do you need a nap?" She asked Elena. Elena nodded as she yawned.

"I really am sleepy now," she murmured and Elijah stood up, placing her in his arms. He had her in his arms like a groom picking up his bride, about to go over the threshold. "Sleepytime now."

As soon as Elena was sleeping as were the children, Esther watched as her children were doing whatever they needed to do as well as what their spouses were doing.

She had seen Elijah working on their business deals while Hayley was practicing the violin-a hobby she picked up from Elena who played the violin as well as was a ballerina alongside Caroline while growing up-something they were going to have Danielle go into with Hope.

Smiling she moved over to Klaus who was painting a nature scene while Spencer was teaching Finn and Aurora how to profile someone.

The smile was still on her face and as the afternoon went on the three children were awake and playing with their parents as well as each other. By that evening once the children were sleeping the fourth episode was on.

"A Founders party is happening," Elena was holding a steaming mug of chamomile tea. "I dislike those…am I seriously in that dress?" She seemed flabbergasted at her copy in the pink dress. "I don't think I even had that dress…" she looked at Caroline who was horrified by her own copy. "Did I have that dress Care?" Caroline shook her head.

"Bonnie had it in hers and it was a birthday gift from her dad," Caroline said while fuming. "Are you kidding me? I read that book? I couldn't read past the first three pages!" Elena winced. "Sorry about the window."

"Dad had been wondering what happened and once he found out he didn't hold it against you," Elena told her. "Why do you think he made us those hot chocolates that night?" Caroline smiled widely.

"That's why he placed whipped cream on top of it," Jeremy realized once he knew what they were talking about. "That was two nights before they died."

Elena and Caroline nodded.

"So…Damon really is a scumbag," Lacey mused. "Why was he turned again?"

No one had an answer.

"I think Katherine favored him?" Nadia mused, as she had never thought of Katherine as her mother.

"I thought she favored Stefan," Rebekah now looked curious. "Maybe she favored both?"

It was the only thing they could agree on and as they showed Damon talking to the Elena clone, he was blatantly telling her about vampires and their existence in a roundabout way.

"If she practiced magic she would know," Elena called. "She wouldn't be a snowflake parody of a doppelganger like Katherine who isn't a badass."

Klaus had chuckled as he remembered Katherine running and nearly being caught as she tried blending in but was so pathetic that it was hilarious. The only reason they kept her alive and running was because they liked making her think that she was good at escaping.

"Was the event like this?" Ansel managed to ask.

"They're saying that it was Elena the brothers were talking to but it was actually me, Jeremy and Bonnie," Caroline tittered. "Elena wasn't even there-she had a cold or something." Elena nodded.

"I wasn't fun to be around," Elena explained after a drink. "Jenna stayed with me and literally babied me."

When it showed the council talking and just discussing on how to get rid of the vampires those who had no idea about their relatives shrugged.

"I don't know," the three said. "You'd have to ask Jenna or Liz if you want the truth about this section of the episode."
