Chapter 24

(A few weeks later)

Capsule Corp

Roughly 30 astronomical units south of Dr. Brief light was reflected off a metallic craft and bounced back towards the the center of the solar system. In a wide belt around the Earth and its moon an array of satellites detected the light, and directed news of its discovery back to Capsule Corp. When the signal reached Dr. Brief's lab his sterile white lights flashed red, his intercom buzzed, and his coffee hit the ground.

Dr. Brief abandoned the limb on his work bench and sat at his computer. With a few key strokes the alarms were deactivated. With a few more he was looking at a digital representation of what was detected, and it wasn't good. Surfaces that smooth, that round, did not simply occur in nature.

He switched menus, now showing a map of the solar system. As he read the data he cursed the speed of light. The craft was clearly on its way to Earth, and had already passed several planets on its approach. He switched back to the digital display and flicked through a wide spectrum of instruments. He couldn't tell if it was one massive ship, or several small ones, but either way, it needed to be addressed.

Dr. Brief pushed his chair away from his desk, spinning in the process, and caught himself at a work station on the opposing wall. Picking up the phone he dialed.

"Roshi? It's Dr. Brief."

"Something set the alarms off, a few hours ago, by Neptune."

"I don't know, the instruments aren't that sensitive."

"Maybe an hour, maybe less."

"I'll let you know.

"Contact Yajirobe, I'll let Ox-King know."

East of North City

Four saiyan attack pods passed through an invisible web surrounding Earth and her moon, before penetrating the atmosphere. As they raced towards the ground, the trio of Earth's defenders raced to their predicted landing site. However, in the race between a quickly breaking superluminal craft, and a trio of clouds, the crafts will win almost every time, almost.

Sending rock and dirt a surprisingly short distance into the air, the four pods landed in a diamond formation in a large open field. Their four craters overlapped, and a small patch of untouched earth stood between them. A very surprised cow mooed.

As the dust settled the turtle hermit jumped from his spinning cloud, landed in a three point crouch just south of the southernmost pod, and pointed at the cow. With the swing of an arm the bovine flew from the landing site off to join her frightened sisters. Taking a deep breath he filled his body with fresh air, fresh energy, and vitality. His muscles bulged, his jacket and shirt ripped, and he was ready to fight.

Ox-King landed next on the far side of the crater from Roshi. He drew his double axe and held it in both hands. If these pods held anything like the saiyans that came to Earth previously, things would not go well for him, but he wouldn't let that stop him. Not while Chi-Chi was still on the planet, and not while Gohan would be coming home.

Yajirobe landed last, but not late. Less than a second elapsed between the cow's landing and his own. As his feet touched the ground he drew his sword. As steam vented from the pods, he infused his energy into it. He may not be able to shoot energy blasts like Roshi could, but he could throw them from his blade.

The pods weren't synchronized, the one closest to Ox-King opened first. The door lowered towards the giant, and a pair of pink, fleshy, hands grabbed either side of the threshold. With a heave Loa stood in the crater. Looking around she saw the warriors, and they were afraid. She raised her hands, and rose into the air.

The pod in front of Roshi opened next. The door opened away from him, and for a moment he couldn't see what came out. That is, until the bald head of his shortest student came into view.

"KRILLEN!" Roshi shouted as he allowed his muscles to deflate.

Krillen looked back at Roshi. His head was still clouded from the gas in the pod, so it took him a second. But, as Tien's and Turles' pods opened Krillen remembered who he was, and who was talking to him. "Master Roshi!"

Yajirobe put his katana in his scabbard, and Ox-King dropped his axe. While Yajirobe waved at Tien, Ox-King jumped forward, embracing Turles.

"Goku, you're okay." Ox-King said. "Where, where's Gohan?"

Turles tucked his arms up between himself and the giant, breaking the hug. He kicked off the ground, landing atop the crater, where Krillen had landed moments ago. "Gohan? He and Goku went off on their own. They're training, and will be back."

Ox-King tilted his head. "He, and Goku? But." He scratched his head and looked at Tien. "What's he talking about? Did he get hit in the head again?"

Tien chuckled. "No, but I did, but Krillen can explain it best."

A minute later the group was gathered at the edge of the crater. Krillen introduced Loa first. Ox-King shook her hand, excited to meet a real alien, not caring that his son-in-law and grandson both qualified. Yajirobe was passive, and Roshi tripped, attempting to accidentally touch the woman. To his surprise, her body split in two and he fell to the ground.

Turles was next, and received just as warm of welcome, with slightly less attempted sexual assault. He explained how he was Goku's father's brother, and that he wasn't looking forward to meeting this Chi-Chi everyone kept telling him about.

"So, they're okay?" Ox-King asked. "They're just training?"

"They're beyond okay." Turles said. "Goku unlocked an ability that was only thought to be legend in our people. Right now, I doubt there's anyone more powerful than him in the galaxy."

"Wow." Ox-King smiled. "My son in law."

"Your grandson too." Turles said. "Despite his age he's just as powerful as the rest of us, which is far more powerful than any saiyan I ever met, before Goku. If his father is training him, I'm sure Gohan will reach that level too. It's in his genes."

"So, what about you?" Yajirobe asked. "Will you be that strong too? He turned to Tien. "And, can we trust him? I mean, we don't have the best track record with Goku's relatives."

As Turles began to take offense to the accusation Roshi cleared his throat. "While Raditz did leave a bad taste in our mouths." Roshi began. "If Krillen trusts you, I trust you."

"I trust him, with my life." Krillen said.

"Good." Roshi looked around the field. "Now, I don't know about you all, but this place kind of smells. Maybe we should continue this conversation somewhere else? Get everyone together?"

"Yeah, it's a long story." Krillen agreed.

"Good, we'll meet up at Capsule Corp then." Roshi said while pulling out a cell phone. "I'll spread the word while we're on our way."

West City

As the tallest buildings rose over the horizon Krillen recognized that something was different with the skyline. As the lower structures came into view it was obvious that something major had happened while he was gone. Streets that were typically full of pot holes and covered in cars were being repaved. Graffiti covered buildings were being replaced by window wrapped, solar panel capped, towers. Parks maintained their green canopies and walkways, but were full of tightly packed orange tents.

Krillen broke formation to get next to Roshi. "What happened?"

Finding it hard to focus on an answer while spinning Roshi just shrugged. "Later."

As Krillen got back to the front of the pack Turles pulled up behind him. "Why haven't they used the dragon balls to restore the Earth from the saiyan attack yet?"

"This isn't from the saiyans." Krillen said. "We'll find out when we land."

Capsule Corp

Panchy had prepared their largest meeting room. Tea cups were on saucers in front of each chair. Snacks were being prepared, and a large credenza was brought in for them to be sat upon. It wouldn't be enough for a saiyan, but it would be a good start.

She and Dr. Brief welcomed the group at the grand entrance, and using discrete halls were in the prepared room in just a few minutes. Panchy offered tea, and Yajirobe began helping himself to the assortment of treats.

Once introductions were made and everyone was situated Panchy was the first to speak. "So, I hear Gohan and Goku are training in space. But, where's Bulma?"

Krillen tensed at this question and kicked himself for not thinking of an answer in advance. Panchy and Dr. Brief noticed his hesitation. Without hearing a word Panchy began to cry. She berried her face in her hands, and was quickly wrapped in her husband's arms.

"I'm sorry." Krillen said.

"We." Panchy struggled to speak. "We're getting her back." She said.

"We got a message." Krillen began.

"We, we are getting her back." Panchy emphasized each syllable.

"She passed in the vacuum of space. If we revive her, she'll just die again." Krillen began to cry as well. "We, we can't get her back."

Panchy slammed her fist on the table. "NO." She struck it again. "Where was she? Where did she die?"

"Namek." Turles took the woman's focus. "She passed while in the space around Namek."

"We're getting her back." Panchy said.

Dr. Brief patted his wife's back. "Honey, she'd."

Panchy stood quickly and pushed her husband. "We're getting her back." She grabbed her tea cup and smashed it on the ground. Tears continued to stream from her eyes. "You are the single smartest, wealthiest, most powerful human, ever." She pushed him again. "You will not give up. I will not let you." She grabbed his shirt and pulled him to her, snot ran from her nose. "I don't care how much time, how much money, how much man power it takes." Her tears fell on her husbands face. "Build something."

"We don't even know if."

"Build a dyson sphere!" Panchy gripped her husband's shirt tighter. "Build a dyson sphere, surround the entire solar system, fill it with air. If there isn't a vacuum, we can revive her."

"Panchy, the amount of material that would take."

"We have a wish granting dragon, and if we don't, you'll make one." She pushed her husband again, causing him to fall on his butt. "There is no excuse." She turned to the table of warriors. "There is no excuse." Slamming her fist on the table again she felt a sharp pain in her finger. "She helped all of you, every one of you. Krillen, Tien, Roshi." She looked past the room, at the construction taking place outside. "Without her there would be no Goku. Without Goku there would be none of you. You owe it to her, you owe it to me." She tried to blink away tears. "I don't care what it costs, in time, blood, sweat, or tears." She looked back to her husband. "We are getting Bulma back."

Panchy frowned at her husband and walked to the door.

"Where are you going?" Dr. Brief asked.

"I'm not waiting for dragon balls that may or may not even still exist." Panchy slammed the door open. "If we need material, I'm going to get it."

"To build a dyson sphere around an entire solar system, it would take entire planets worth of material." Dr. Brief said.

"Then I'm going to get planets." She stood in the doorway. "I'm calling Tights. Jaco is well connected. If you won't do it, then I will." She turned and faced the group, grabbing the door handle, sharp pain came from her likely broken finger. "I'm getting our daughter back, and you, all of you, will do whatever it takes to help." She slammed the door as she left.

Dr. Brief watched the door close, and looked back at the group. "I, I need to go. I'll be back."

The strangers in the group nodded in understanding, Tien among them. His old friends told him to take his time, and he left.

"Who's Jaco?" Turles asked.

"Not a clue." Roshi said.

Krillen put his head in his hand and leaned into the table. "So, should we start from the top?"

"It's a long story." Master Roshi dried his eyes and sank into his chair. "Back when Kami was preparing to become the guardian of Earth, he was in contest with another alien, named Garlic. Neither were pure enough to take the job. Kami cast out his darkness, which became Piccolo. Garlic did not."

"I assume that's the same Garlic that tried to take over the lookout after Piccolo was defeated at the tournament?" Krillen asked.

Roshi thought for a moment and nodded. "Well, that was Garlic Junior, the son of Garlic, and, to be honest, I forgot you were involved in that fiasco."

"I could say the same for you." Krillen joked as he took a sip of tea. "Keep going though, for Turles and Loa."

"Well, Garlic obviously didn't become the guardian, and when rejected he raised an army of demons." Roshi made air quotes as he said the word. "And he attacked the lookout. Well, Kami and the previous guardian stopped him, and the previous guardian sealed Garlic in a crystal. Garlic Junior, not too long ago, made a move on the lookout as well, and got sealed in the Dead Zone, which is a, um."

Dr. Brief reentered the room, eyes red and shirt wet, and quickly caught on to Roshi's struggle. "It's like an alternate dimension that he can summon portals to access."

"Yes. He became immortal due to the dragon balls, but got trapped in the Dead Zone." Roshi continued. "While you were gone, his home world, the Makyo Star, came close enough to Earth that its energy leaked through the remains of the portal, giving him an incredible power boost, and allowing him to escape the Dead Zone."

"That's the working theory." Dr. Brief cut in. "But we aren't actually certain how the presence of the Makyo Star near Earth influenced Garlic Junior, who was locked in an alternate dimension. We are exploring the implications though"

"So, he escaped the Dead Zone, and went on a rampage?" Krillen tried to move the conversation along.

"In short, yes. In long, also yes." Roshi coughed. "He used the Black Water Mist, which turned all of humanity into demon like monsters. Which is what I think his father did too. Well, we stopped the mist, but couldn't fight him and his men, so we had to wait and hide until their power boost went down. Korin, Korin wouldn't join us, and we haven't seen him since. After a while, when the Makyo Star was gone, Piccolo, Yajirobe, Oolong, and I took them all out."

"Where is Piccolo? And Chiaotzu? Oolong? Everyone else?" Krillen leaned forward in his seat.

"According to King Kai, Piccolo and Yamcha are both in the Dead Zone. We can't see what's going on in there, but we have reason to believe that they, Kami and Mr. Popo will be able to find their own way home." Roshi took a sip of his tea. "Oolong is on Papaya Island. He seems to have made a new martial artist friend. Chiaotzu." He reached over and touched Tien's arm. "Chiaotzu, he, and others, didn't make it. He took Garlic Junior on by himself when he was at the top of his power, and, and he's no longer with us."

Tien felt all eyes focus on him. He sagged his shoulders, lowered his eyes, and a single tear rolled down his cheek. "Thank god for dragon balls."

"Speaking of which." Turles said. "Maybe we should ask what the woman meant when she mentioned the dragon balls maybe not being around anymore?" Turles asked.

"We don't know if the dragon balls are still around." Yajirobe answered. "If Kami isn't alive, we can't use the dragon balls. With both him and Piccolo sealed, well, are they considered alive?"

"Furthermore." Dr. Brief took over. "The dragon balls were used less than a year ago. So, if they were active, we couldn't find them yet. Also, we currently don't have a dragon radar."

Krillen looked to Turles, and Turles dug into his armored chest plate. "I think I do." He took a moment, but pulled out the device. He clicked it on, and seven dots appeared. "Wow, still charged." He sat the radar on the table and slid it over to the doctor.

"Thank you." Dr. Brief nodded to the saiyan as he picked it up. "We'll mark down these locations, and start duplicating this immediately. We tried using Bu, um, we tried using the original notes, but they weren't exactly clear." He turned it off and stood from the table. As he exited the meeting room, Chi-Chi entered.

Chi-Chi quickly scanned the room, and as her father before her, closed on Turles first. "Goku." She slapped her hand onto the table, shaking everyone's teacups. "Where is our son."

Turles rotated his chair so he was facing his niece-in-law. He smiled and leaned back in his chair. "He's in space, training."

Ox-King tried to explain what was going on, but was too slow. Chi-Chi's palm had already connected with Turles, and he failed to react.

"If it helps." Turles said, rubbing his cheek. "Goku is with him."

"Huh?" Chi-Chi took a step back. "Goku, is in space?" She looked over Turles again. His skin was darker, he was wearing armor, and the scars … "You're, you're not my husband."

"No." Turles smiled wider. "Unfortunately I am not."

"Chi-Chi." Ox King stood. "That is Turles, Goku's uncle." He gestured to the woman next to him. "And this is Loa, a friend they made in space. Goku and Gohan are training, in space, and..."

Chi-Chi turned on Krillen. "You let my son go into space?" She stomped over to him.

"Goku is with him. I tried to stop him, we all did, but Goku is far, far, more powerful than any of us, than all of us." Krillen stood to face her. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry we couldn't bring him home, but he is in good hands."

Chi-Chi looked over her shoulder at Turles. "Do you remember what Goku's brother did to my son? And you trust his uncle? You expect me to trust your judgment if that's the kind of decision you're making?"

"I can hear you." Turles turned back to the table.

"I wasn't whispering." Chi-Chi said.

"Chi-Chi, take a seat, and we'll fill you, and everyone, in." Krillen said while grabbing the tea pot and pouring her a cup.

Once Dr. Brief returned, without the dragon radar, Krillen asked Tien if he'd like to tell the story, and the triclopse declined.

"Would you mind if I record this part?" Dr. Brief asked. "Both for future dissection, but also for Panchy? If this, if this is how Bulma spent her last few weeks, she may want to hear it, eventually."

"Not at all. Go ahead." Krillen said. Over the next half hour he detailed their daily life on the ship, their training routines, Gohan's study routine, and eventually the distress call they received before reaching Namek.

"That's where I come in." Turles said. "Well, that's the planet they met me on. My former, the people I used to travel with that is, they were attacking the planet." Turles detailed the tree of might, the fruit from the tree of might, and briefly touched upon how he came to join the group.

Turles and Krillen took turns speaking at that point. They went through the battle on Bothawui, the power that Goku first touched upon, and skimmed over what caused the anger in Goku. The trip from there to Namek was relatively uneventful, but Turles took the time to share his thoughts on the gravity chamber, as a saiyan, and how he loved just being at what the Earthlings called 10 times gravity, as it was the same as his home world.

When they reached Namek Loa began talking as well. She shared her experience during the battle for the dragon balls. She shared how Zarbon and Dodoria were defeated, and how she eventually lost Nail. Tien grew tense when the Ginyu Force was mentioned, but was mostly able to nod his way through the discussion.

Krillen put a hand on Dr. Brief's shoulder when they walked through the exchange with Jeice, and the genius appreciated the touch. They quickly moved on to Dende, Moori, and Grand Elder Guru.

Going back a few steps they covered Frieza. Both what they had experienced, which wasn't much, and what they had heard. Krillen wasn't sure when it had started, but when Krillen got to the point of describing their farewells, he realized Dr. Brief was taking notes.

"And then I saw this big oaf." Loa thumbed at Ox-King. "And I think you probably know the rest, right?"

Dr. Brief nodded and turned off the recording device. "Thank you." He said. "I appreciate your candor." He tapped his pen on the table a few times. "So, a few things jumped out to me. Namely the fruit and the unlocking of potential."

With the pop of a capsule a bowl of fruit appeared on the table. Krillen's and Turles' mouths where instantly watering.

"Try not to use up all the fruit in your research." Turles said. "Also, try to be quick about it. Each fruit may be an extraordinarily powerful artifact, but they are still just fruit."

"I'll use as little as possible, as quickly as possible." Dr. Brief said. "Hopefully we can figure out what makes it, well, it." He pulled the fruit to his side of the table and put them in a capsule. "Any chance you have any senzu beans? We, we're out, and don't believe we'll be getting any more. Well, actually, with the dragon balls back, Korin will likely be coming back, so that may not be as pressing as we originally thought."

"No, sorry." Krillen said. "We're all out."

Roshi hopped to his feet and clapped his hands. "Alrighty, then." He twirled his, Korin's, staff. "Sounds like we have dragon balls to collect, and people to revive."

"Question." Loa raised her hand. "This Piccolo, Kami, and Yamcha. King Kai says they could likely find their own way out of the Dead Zone. How long should it take, and if they fail, could the dragon retrieve them?"

"Hmm." Roshi stroked his chin. "I have no idea how long it will take, but I don't see why the dragon couldn't help. It wouldn't be soon, but if they're not out in a year, we could use the dragon to wish them back."

"Well, two years." Krillen said. "We promised a wish to Loa, and we can't ask her to wait an additional year."

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Loa said. "For now, let's restore the Earth."

(The next day)

Capsule Corp

"Take a seat." Dr. Brief gestured to a dentist like chair next to a large array of medical equipment.

Tien did what was requested of him, and sat his hands in his lap. At Dr. Brief's instruction he moved his arms to the arm rests.

"So, how did lefty do for you?" Dr. Brief asked while pulling a screw driver out of a cluttered drawer.

"Um, fine?" Tien looked at the tool somewhat nervously.

"Good good. Let's get some hard data though." Dr. Brief rotated Tien's arm in and gently rubbed a finger down the muscle. Finding what he was looking for he pulled out a small plug of rubbery synthetic flesh, revealing four screw holes.

As Dr. Brief removed the screws, and the lid they held down, Tien watched in fascination. Dr. Brief pulled a self winding cable out of his computer and tried plugging it into Tien's arm. "Oops." He said, turning it over. "Note to self, next arm gets USB-C."

As the data was transferred Dr. Brief tapped his fingers on his chair.

"So, Chiaotzu." Tien said.

"I'm sorry for your loss." Dr. Brief said. "Hopefully we can format the wish to get him back as well."

"Thank you." Tien looked around the office awkwardly, trying to find something to comment on. Eventually his eyes settled on a picture of two little girls. "I'm sorry for your loss."

Dr. Brief stopped tapping his fingers. The progress bar scrolled on. "Thanks." He put his elbow on his desk and his finger on his lip. "Almost done."

Tien didn't start conversation, but he made the silence understandable. After all, that was good enough, right?

The computer pinged. "Okay, we're good." Dr. Brief said while briefly scanning the data on his screen.

"So, what's next?" Tien asked.

"Well, we've had a few ideas for upgrades, but we designed it around predicted data, not real world experience." Dr. Brief right clicked on Tien's arm and ejected it from his computer, before removing the cable. "We need to see if our predictions held up, and they likely didn't based on what you all have told us. It should be easy enough to transpose our ideas though, so we'll get to work on your next arm." The cable automatically retracted into the computer, and Dr. Brief went to work resealing Tien's arm.

Roshi's Island

Roshi, Krillen, Loa, and Chi-Chi stood on the edge of the beach. The sun was setting, and the ocean was as smooth as glass. Loa had been telling the trio of humans of her home world, her family, and her joy that her journey would soon be coming to an end. After clarifying to Chi-Chi that this wish was not for her, silence had fallen over the group.

Six of the seven dragon balls were collected into a small bowl carved in the sand. Turtle stood protectively beside them, as if they were his eggs. When Turles approached Turtle slid back slightly, and the seventh dragon ball was added.

"That's all of them." Turles said. "Do we have the exact wish prepared?"

"I was thinking." Krillen said. "Please restore everyone to life that was killed during the attack of the saiyans, and Garlic Junior. What do you guys think?"

"I think it needs work." Roshi said. "Primarily because those were two different incidents, and I don't think Shenron will treat that as one wish."

"What are the resurrection requirements?" Turles asked. "Are they the same as on Namek?"

"No." Krillen said. "As far as we're aware, you can only be revived once, the death had to be unnatural, and within a year of the wish."

Turles scratched his chin for a moment. "Could we wish for everyone, period, that died an unnatural death within the last 12 months to be revived?"

"Yeah." Roshi said. "That, should do it." He looked skyward. "I can't think of any wish we've made that's even close to being this ambitious before."

"Okay, we're decided then?" Krillen asked, receiving nods from all directions. "Alrighty, then, Shenron, we call upon you to grant our wish!" He dramatically threw his arms into the air, feeling as if he probably should have prepared a bit more for the summoning.

Despite the lack luster performance, Shenron still responded. The dragon balls faint glow grew brighter, until the light radiating off each ball was too brilliant to distinguish between them. With a clap of thunder the lights shot up, curving, twisting, and merging as they climbed. Short bolts of lightning shot off at irregular intervals, and as the beam reached the heavens, it curled back down.

Dark clouds rolled in as Shenron was appearing. The glassy surface of the sea was whipped into a frenzy, and wind bent the few trees on the island. The sun should still have been up, but it was hidden by darkness.

The beam of light continued curling, twisting, and looping, until it eventually settled on a target, and shot towards Kame House. Before it hit though, the 7 beams split once more, and curled back on themselves, widening, darkening, and forming a glowing draconian head.

As the light faded, green scales and red eyes became visible. Shenron lowered himself towards the beach. "Why have you awakened me after such a short time?" His voice boomed over the island, carrying miles out to sea.

Chi-Chi stepped forward. "Shenron!" She made eye contact with the massive creature. "Bring my son and his father to Earth, immediately!"

As the words exited her mouth, Roshi jumped at her. He was too slow though, and Shenron's eyes began to glow brighter as Roshi covered Chi-Chi's mouth.

"We only have a year to revive everyone, and Shenron can't be back for at least a year from now." Roshi growled into her ear. "You just made it impossible to revive everyone, Chiaotzu, Korin, all the innocent people."

Shenron's eyes faded to their regular bright red. "That wish can not be granted." His voice was just as massive as before, but disappointment was clear in it.

Roshi's grip loosened in surprise, and Chi-Chi took advantage of the opportunity to shout at the dragon again. "Bring them back to life!"

"I can not." Shenron said. "They are not dead. I can not bring them home, as they refused the teleportation."

"WHAT?" Chi-Chi shrieked.

"Their power is too great for me to influence without their consent. They do not consent to the teleportation, thus I can not bring them to Earth." Shenron lowered his head further, his muzzle now only a few feet off the ground. "Now tell me, how did you summon me before a year has passed?"

"We don't know." Krillen said. "Your creator, Kami, passed away when his other half, Piccolo, was killed by the saiyans. Perhaps when we revived him, the timer was reset?"

Shenron closed his eyes for a moment, and let his tongue flick out, coming within feet of Krillen. "I do not sense Kami, or Piccolo, anywhere. If Kami is not here, how am I?"

"Kami, and Piccolo, were transported to somewhere called the Dead Zone. It is not our current wish, but could you return them if we wished it?" Krillen took a step back from the car sized skull.

Shenron thought for a moment, looking left and right along the beach, along the horizon. "No." He reared up and re assumed his regular position. "Now, make your wish."

"May I?" Loa asked. "I've always wanted to make a wish." Krillen nodded and she stepped forward. "Shenron, tell me, before I make our wish. Is it possible to both revive the people of Earth, and restore their planet to its previous condition, including structures?"

Shenron studied the newcomer, surprised by the nonhuman. "It is not my duty to compose your wish. However, if you wish me to do so, I will. However by the time I am active again, it will be too late."

"Well, I was also hoping to ask if it would be possible to revive everyone here, and on Namek, but you'd answer the same way, wouldn't you?" Loa smiled and Shenron nodded.

"In that case." Loa turned to Krillen. "To be safe, should we exclude Bulma? In case we have a way to revive her later?"

"That's, that's a good idea, but she died of natural causes, oh, oh fuck." Krillen turned to Roshi. 'Bulma died of natural causes, even if Panchy finds a way to recover her body, Shenron can't revive her."

"That's a problem for a different day." Roshi hung his head. "We are horrible for giving Dr. Brief and Panchy false hope, but, there is nothing we can do at this time."

"If Loa is going to use time travel to return home." Turles said. "Maybe we could do the same to stop Bulma from ever dying in the first place." He took a deep breath. "Roshi is right though, that's a wish for a different time. Loa, please, make the wish."

Loa nodded and flew up to be eye level with Shenron, and bowed at the waist to him. "Our wish, Shenron, is for you to revive everyone who has died a natural death within the last 12 months, so, everyone within your power"

A loud growl escaped Shenron's throat, and the force of it blew Loa back slightly. "Yemma is not going to like this one." Shenron chuckled and glanced over his summoners. "No one will." He aimed his snout skyward and closed his eyes, and floated, motionless, for several long breaths.

Rolling his eye to face the island, without moving his head, he spoke again. "Your wish has been granted. All that have died over the last year, everyone within my power, has been revived."

"Thank you, Shenron. We will see you in a year, when I will hopefully be able to return home." She bowed again, and Shenron began to glow, brighter and brighter, until his features were lost, and sucked back into the dragon balls. Once seven suns were gathered on the beach, they rocketed into the sky and burst around the world once more.

Across the globe Shenron's power took effect all at once. Everyone that had been killed directly by Garlic Junior and the Spice Boys was revived, bodies in tact. Those who were killed in the Black Water Mist incident were restored just as fully, as were those who were killed when the saiyans came to Earth.

Across the cosmos Shenron's power took effect all at once. Every bothan killed by the tree of might was revived at once, and without the tree itself there to drain them, they would not be extinguished again. On Namek Nail awoke, as too did several villages worth of piled namekians. They would not be as lucky as the bothans.
