Hey everyone, I kinda got inspired by one idea of... time travel. Although, I might one day (hopefully) Write a crossover? Also, fair warning, Luffy will have an OC Nakama since... It's a necessary evil. Not really OP compared to Some. Certain. Canon. Known. Individuals. But nonetheless really strong, but kinda expected from a New World native.. Anyways, wish me luck on this one.
Disclaimer : I don't own neither the Peggy Sue concept, nor the long amazing story concept. I also can't draw anything! My artistic abilities are below abysmal.
Prologue
Laugh Tale
The Strawhat Pirates met the worst and most tragic fate. Right before sailing to Laugh Tale, Nami instructed their newest members, Yamato and Jinbe, how to navigate and arrive to the end of their journey, despite Luffy's heartbreaking protests. Zoro had to drag Sanji, while Yamato and Jinbe had to drag Luffy who lost all of his Haki for almost naught. Zoro felt his heart sink as he saw Nami die, his friend, his sister... Chopper, Robin, Carrot, Brook, Franky, Ussop, and now Nami, it was the straw that broke Luffy's back, and instead of surrendering, he did something no one would have expected...
He managed to make the whole island a death trap for the marines, as he turned it into a gooey substance, the only solid places were where his Nakama were, Sanji almost died that day. The less they remembered the best. Yamato dragged Luffy to the ship, and Jinbe helped her. Zoro carried Sanji and dragged his Nakama's limp cold bodies on a large blanket. He figured out where they'll bury them... Not that he would tell his captain in his current state...
It took them an entire week to be there, Sanji was in a critical state, Luffy and Zoro were, ironically, the least affected. Yamato and Jinbe were both worn out, but fine nonetheless.. Luffy then noticed, by sheer dumb luck, the blood stained blanket inside the newly made freezer, the last gift of Franky... He should NOT cry. If he shed any tears, if he falters, who's going to make the greatest late crew proud in the afterlife?
"Jinbe, Yamato, Zoro, Arigato!" Luffy said in a heartbroken tone. The now almost twenty years old showed his true feelings of sorrow and despair. How much did the loss of his crew shatter his soul, how much did the loss made his self-esteem dive, how much did his crew's... death weight, all showed in one simple sentence.
"Don't be like that, Captain!" Yamato scolded, "I might be the last one, but I know exactly how you feel, and much worse than any of us does..." She stopped lest she cried her eyes out. Jinbe nodded in gratitude. Sanji was left on the ship lest his wounds re-open. The Captain and his Vice-captain started digging seven graves as they laid their occupants in total sorrow, grief, rage, wrath, and most of all, silent guilt...
"Ussop, Nami, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, Carrot, I'm so sorry..." Luffy said in an absolute broken tone, he was crying inside, he was crying tears of blood now, his tear ducts had long dried out. Zoro watched in total silence as he remembered each and every one of their crew's antics. No more stories, no more a laughing doctor, nor some training with a humorous skeleton, nor a dark joke or a long discussion with a wise beautiful archeologist with her dark humour... No more inventions from an awesomely brilliant shipwright turned scientist... their ship would no longer navigate... nor would they use any of the treasure.
They circumnavigated the globe, conquered the Grand Line in its entirety, they saw the Red Line three times, they were an awesome team, but a dead, broken up team it seems. They saw the other side of the Red Line, the side that no one else alive probably had seen with their own eyes but a very few individuals... But all of that meant nothing to them. They saw the One Piece treasure, the one thing that made the Pirate King's crew laugh like children, and they remained stone faced.
"Jinbe, you think that they'd laugh in the afterlife?" Luffy asked his Helmsman.
"I don't know. I think so... I can feel their pride, but I don't think that I can feel any joy..." Jinbe replied as Luffy finally saw the Rio Poneglyph and heard its voice. The young pirate sighed as he explored the entire Island before he came back with a grin that would made anyone else question his sanity...
"Luffy, what did you find? What made you grin?" Zoro asked his captain who now sat facing the tombstones of his crew, their names recently scribbled by one swordsman.
"Guys, let me tell you about a tale. It started..." And Luffy did try to give his dead crew sone closure. At the end, he was laughing madly. Maybe insanity did grip him at the end? Two brothers, his crew... Everything he loved was taken from him. However, there is a way. There must be a way for them to do something... If only he can stretch the timeline and rewind it at his leisure... If only he had that power... Hold on, power... That's it! His Gomu Gomu no mi had awakened in the best way it seems. He was able to stop the time or make it extremely slow which it meant...
"Zoro, Jinbe, Yamato, I think that maybe we can get back in time!" Luffy announced. However, there was a voice that caught their attention.
"You're right. You can do it, but you won't be able to take your crew with you. Are you sure that you want it THAT way?" The voice said.
"Who you might be?" Yamato asked first. The crew didn't see anyone, but they didn't care. Jinbe lost a father, a brother, a sister, and many nephews. Yamato was the same, while Zoro and Luffy felt that their entire family was taken away from them.
"Luffy, it's me, and my... Father. I meant my biological one. Also, Pops is really proud of you. Anyway, this is all I can tell you. Don't be late!" Ace told Luffy who was confused.
"Well, at least there is a second pirate king. Gurararara! I never thought that anyone would make it... But I know the feeling. Well, I hope you would change something, if you catch my drift. Take care brats!" Jinbe had a ghost of a smile as he now realized exactly where this is heading.
"Hi there my second. I'm really proud of you, but I see that you now have two choices. The first is that you can stay here. The second is that... You all go back in time where your true journeys begun. Namely six years ago for Luffy and Zoro, Three for Jinbe and Yamato, provided that the two of you know exactly what to do, right?" The third voice made it clear.
"To warn!" Jinbe replied.
"To escape!" Yamato replied.
"To sharpen!" Zoro replied.
"To protect!" Luffy replied.
"Great to know that you know exactly what's your missions are. So, you'll be going back in time just for these reasons. Also, your fifth won't go as far as you would, but he would be at the right time I presume. Also, your sixth might or might not make it at the time of meeting. Now get going, a hollow victory is no victory. May the good Lord help you bring down the fake ones. See you here again in a bigger, and full crew!" The voice said sadly.
"Thank you for the help, erh..." Luffy asked the voice for his name as said voice appeared in ghost form.
"Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Luffy!" The first Pirate King smiled as somehow, everything became blurry...
Fuusha Village
"Luffy? Luffy wake up!" One freckled boy shook the pirate king awake. Said Pirate King looked in confusion before his eyes widdened and he cried at sheer joy...
"ACE! IT WORKED I CAN'T BELIEVE IT DID, BUT IT DID WORK! WE CAN NOW FIX EVERYTHING!" Luffy practicality yelled at the top of his lungs. "What day is it again?"
"It's December the 28th!" Ace replied in a deadpanned manner.
"Three days huh? Ace, can I tell you an amazing and wonderful tale? It's about a man who thought that his life had no meaning..." Luffy asked his brother who gave him a weird look before he replied.
"Why not? We have nothing to do anyways." Ace replied nonchalantly.
"Well, our hero's journey begun when he promised his little brothers that he'd set sail one day..." Luffy begun as he told Ace everything he remembered. Even including the story of Yamato, and Jinbe, and Whitebeard. Even how Whitebeard sacrificed himself... Even how Ace died... Luffy then asked Ace one last thing, "So, did you know the moral of the story?"
"I got it. Becoming lazy and having too much complacency leads to death... So, what was that Haki you talked about?" Ace asked Luffy who shrugged it off.
"Well, it's a mystery power that exists in every one, although this one that we both possess," Luffy used a bit of his own Haoshoko, "Is really rare. Only a few does have it. But the other two are also amazing honestly. So, I have one advise, be wary of the hairy hippo who have a few fallen teeth. Never trust that snaking rat."
"Oh, that's rich coming from you. So, any more advises before I set sail?" Ace asked Luffy who grinned as he remembered something.
"Try to find the revolutionary army, if you do, tell them to ask Dragon about the sunken boy on Fuusha. Maybe he knows something.." Luffy asked cryptically.
"You mean that someone from our island may be there? That's cool." Ace showed his glee. "Hold on, what's your favorite food? What's your birthday? What did you do with a me and a certain blond boy?"
"Meat, May fifth, and we became brothers after we stole Dadan's sake and drunk together." Luffy replied with a sigh. 'Really Ace? Even you think that I'm that dumb?'
"Ok, how do you navigate?" Ace asked seriously.
"Well, warmer means South?" Luffy asked in confusion and Ace sighed in relief.
"Well, at least you're Luffy!" Ace said a bit relieved. He was scared when his baby brother became a book of wisdom... Really, at least he's still kinda dumb.
AN : Done and done! Hope this will kick start a very long story... Also, next time... Two years time skip to a certain event.
