As Cassie walked into the nightclub, she was hit by several things at once; some recently released dance music was playing from the speakers, there were also quite a lot of people on the dance floor and soft strobe-lights of various colors going over the crowd. It had been a while since she went to that particular nightclub but she finally managed to get some time off to go to her favorite place so that she could relax for a few hours.

Cassie wandered over to the bar, sitting down on a stool that wasn't too far from a booth where a beautiful red-headed woman who looked a little bit familiar to her. She couldn't place where she had seen her before though. She signaled the bartender, who she actually went to high school with and they were friends, despite Cassie being a grade above them.

"Cassie, hey, it's been a while. I take it, you want your regular drink?" They asked her, already making the drink for the blonde woman. They wondered what their friend had been up to since the last time that they saw her in their club. Considering what Cassie did for a living, they were often scared for her safety, but they knew that being in the Special Forces made her happy. They were always happy for her. They handed Cassie her drink, who took a generous sip from it.

"Thanks, Dove. I really needed that. Fuck, that's good. I honestly forgot how fucking amazing the drinks are that you make here. Especially after the past two shitty months that I've had. I can't go into any details because it's all classified information, but I'll just say that it fucking sucked and I need to have some fun to take my mind off of it." Cassie stated, taking a few more sips of her drink. She loved her job, but sometimes, it did get to her when she couldn't save someone that she promised she would. She shook her head to get rid of those disturbing thoughts.

"Fair enough. I can understand that. If you ever want to talk about anything, just let me know, okay?" After they got a nod from Cassie in reply, they went to take someone else's drink order. Dove loved working in the nightclub. It was a lot of fun and they also got to meet new people.

Cassie finished her drink, deciding to dance for a bit before getting a second drink. Which was an hour ago. She was still nursing on said second drink when that red-headed woman from earlier sashayed her way over to her. She felt her breath catch in her throat as she finally recognized the woman. It was Skarlet, who fled after Shao Kahn was killed by Kitana and Mileena a few years ago. Nobody had heard from her since then, but everyone knew that she was still alive. That was until right now. She sat down in the stool next to hers.

"Ms Cage, it's been a long time. You're as lovely as ever. I've always thought you were gorgeous. I'm glad that we were able to meet again." Skarlet said, causing Cassie to blush in return. She didn't know that Cassie was going to be at the nightclub that night, but that just made her night even better because she had the chance to be around the young woman whom she had a crush on.

"Skarlet, I'm surprised to see you. You can call me by my first name. And thank you. You look pretty amazing yourself. I know that this might be sudden, but would you like to dance? I'll have to rest for a bit first because I just finished dancing." Cassie replied. She had no idea what just came over her. Skarlet had once been her enemy, not anymore though. She definitely developed a crush on the Outworlder way back when they first met. Skarlet was one of the most beautiful women she had ever seen. Cassie was happy that she now had the opportunity to spend more time with the other woman.

"Alright, Cassie. Dancing does sound great to me. I'll wait however long you want me to. I don't want you to overexert yourself. Bartender, I'll have what she's having." Skarlet asked Dove, who quickly made her the same drink as Cassie's. Once her drink was placed in front of her, she picked the glass up, raising it up to her lips, taking several sips of it, Skarlet grinned, letting the alcohol slide down her throat, almost wishing it was blood instead. That drink tasted great. It helped calm her nerves down. Skarlet needed to drink a certain amount of blood every day just to stay alive, but she could eat and drink other things besides blood.

"I'm just curious, why are you here in Earthrealm? Not that I'm complaining or anything to see you." Cassie asked, not wanting to be nosy. But she did have plenty of questions. She'll wait until much later to ask the redhead those.

"Well, after Kitana and Mileena overthrew Shao, Kitana and Jade are now ruling over Edenia while Mileena and Tanya becoming the Kahn's of Outworld, I wanted to see what else is out there. That's why I decided to come to Earthrealm. I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm loving it here." Skarlet replied, finishing up her drink, setting the empty glass back down onto the counter.

Cassie stood up from her stool, reaching out a hand to Skarlet, who gently grasped it within her own. Cassie pulled her up from her seat and towards the dance floor. Among the crowd of people, the two women found space for themselves.

Skarlet smirked softly to herself as she pressed her back to Cassie's front, grinding her shapely ass against Cassie's crotch. They both moaned softly, feeling the pulse of the music flowing through them. Neither of them had any idea of how long they had been dancing for or how many songs had played during that time, the only thing that mattered to them was each other.
