Chapter 35:

Jack was sitting on the couch in the safe house, reading the letter that Aiden left behind.

To whoever finds this:

If you're reading this, that means I managed to leave without being caught, I wanted to fit in here on Earth but I think you and I both know that wasn't possible, I guess I just hoped it would work out, but I was wrong, I see it now, but I have to go, find myself, live the life I need to live, not the lie I tried to fool myself into.

Mom, dad, you guys are the greatest parents a kid could ask for, and I know that Grace will grow up to be a great woman, and I know for a fact she would fit the whole world in her heart.

Daniel, I am grateful for all the times you were there when I need to talk to someone, I know for a fact that you and Janet will be great parents.

Teal'c, you are probably the brother I never had, and the coolest Jaffa of them all.

Uncle George, thank you for being the guardian angel I needed.

Hayes, thank you for being a good friend, and trying the best you could to make me feel home.

Be safe, Aiden.

The gang were all in tears, Grace crying, calling for her brother.

Hayes sighs deeply, he just spent an hour, making the SGC public knowledge, Kinsey went out and called out for the big secret, saying that the tax payers were wasting their money on useless resources, but funny enough, after the SGC was made public, the recruiting offices were overflowing with requests to join the SGC.

The press trying to interview as many SGC employees as possible, fucking nosey press.

Jack jumps up, "I am going after him!". Heading for the door, and kicking it open, Aiden's bike was still in the parking lot, so, grabbing the keys, he climbs into his F-250 and drives for the mountain. He doesn't know how, but he has a strong feeling he knows where Aiden disappeared to.

At the mountain, Harriman was searching through the database, for any sign for the address Jack was looking for. "This one?".

"Yes, that one! Dial it up!". Running to the gate room without anything, just at the moment the event horizon stabilized, without warning, he jumps in, being transported to the planet in question.

On the other side, it was a beautiful green lush planet, grass and mountains as far as the eye could see, he could see why Aiden loved this place, it was peaceful, but being alone, couldn't be healthy at any default.

Walking down a stone path, he comes across what looks like an abandoned platform, but, on the other side, was a house, with smoke coming from the chimney, he smiles in relief, "Aiden." As he runs for the house.

Aiden just added another log on the fire, and in his hand was a .33, not the gun of his choice, but Hayes gave it to him as a counter measure for self-defense. Having only one bullet, he decided to put it to use, loading it, pointing the gun at his temple, about to pull the trigger, and *bam* the front door breaks open, and a out of breath Jack yelling, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?".

"What does it look like I'm doing!?" Aiden asks, pointing at the gun.

"Killing yourself is not gonna solve your problems!".

"Yeah? How would you know?".

"BECAUSE I WAS IN YOUR PLACE RIGHT AFTER I LOST MY OTHER BABY!".

That took him down, looking over to the gun, throwing it away, and runs to his dad, getting pulled into a hug. "What am I gonna do?".

"We'll think of something, son, we'll think of something.".

For a bit, Aiden and Jack tried to work out on a plan, it's obvious that he wasn't safe on Earth, but he was also not safe on his own, the alpha site was too remote, but there was on place he could go…

Atlantis.
