Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Merc and the Medic. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.

(Land of Waves.)

Marmora cracked his knuckles before look up at Urashiki which made him wonder what the man wanted.

Still? He didn't much care at the moment, the man needed to die if they were to live. Marmora looked at Sakura who was busy trying to decide what to do next.

Urashiki lowered himself to the ground. He grinned at the duo, Marmora was much weaker then him and Sakura? He could barely sense much power from her.

"Do you intend to save him?" Urashiki questioned Sakura who only glared at him. "Well?" Urashiki asked as he grinned a snake like grin.

Sakura said nothing and clenched her fists while glaring at the man who reminded her so much of Kaguya. She turned to Marmora who was busy panting and trying to recover from the beating he had gotten from the battle.

"Marmora?" Sakura questioned which made Marmora turn to look at her. "We can't defeat him; we need to leave." Sakura stated which made Marmora hum.

Urashiki grinned and whipped his fishing pole at them. Marmora was tackled out of the way of the attack by Sakura. Marmora groaned in pain; his body was wracked with pain. It burned with wounds that hadn't stitched themselves back together.

Sakura was right, he had overextended himself. Urashiki was far beyond his ability to defeat… Still? Marmora didn't want the man to gain anything from the win. If they didn't defeat the Otsutsuki clan? They'd bulldoze the world to ash.

"Yes, run… But not without giving me what I want first." Urashiki stated to which Marmora glared at him.

"Go to hell." Marmora hissed in defiance. It had more fire then he had at the moment.

Marmora grunted and looked at his bleeding side. If he got hit another time? Marmora knew for a fact that the shock would more then finish him off. His body was busy trying to heal off the damage it had been dealt.

Urashiki charged them only for Sakura to slam her fist into the ground. The ground erupted which sent Urashiki skidding back as rocks crashed into him.

He growled as the dust kicked up by the attack obscured his vision. Sakura used this opportunity to scoop up Marmora and leap out of the courtyard.

"AFTER THEM!" Urashiki screeched as he wiped his fishing pole around, blowing the dust away. He scowled and growled at the duo.

He had toyed with them, that was a mistake that he wouldn't make again. Urashiki would have to report his failure to his superiors.

And he knew they were not forgiving like he knew he shared with them.

(With Sakura and Marmora)

Sakura continued to flee from Urashiki's men. She barely chanced a look over her shoulder at the monsters who pursued her.

They were strong, but not as fast. Sakura knew just how powerful they could be if given a chance.

Sakura took another massive leap as she poured her charka into her feet. This left the White Zetsu behind them as Sakura aimed for the river.

Both she and Marmora landed in the waves. Marmora groaned as Sakura put him over her shoulder and began to paddle towards the shore.

"You know they will come for us again?" Kuraokami stated to the woman as she pushed herself towards the land.

"I know." Sakura stated and cracked her fingers as she pulled Marmora and herself onto the shore. "But they wont be able to get the scroll without Marmora… Will they?" Sakura questioned Kuraokami who hummed.

"Hard to say to be honest." Kuraokami responded which made Sakura sigh. "But it will delay their plans for a while longer. Their need to try something else to break through the seal protecting the plans… I wish the kid had tried something better then that, however." Kuraokami stated as both he and Sakura looked at Marmora.

"He's going to be out for a while." Sakura put in as Kuraokami nodded and looked down at Marmora.

"Then I'm sure you want to talk to him when he wakes up?" Kuraokami questioned Sakura who hummed and nodded before blinking. "I expect that not to be a very… Nice talk when it occurs?" Kuraokami asked Sakura who clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth.

Kuraokami could understand why Sakura would be mad at her ally and partner. Still? It hadn't stopped their teamwork which made him happy. He didn't want the duo to be broken up so easily. Marmora wouldn't get much further if he was without an ally.

Still? It meant that things would be getting harder down the road. Marmora groaned and blinked.

Sakura sighed and started to carry her wounded partner away. She knew that Marmora was trying to prove himself… But he didn't have to. Sakura also knew that Urashiki would be hard to kill.
