Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Merc and the Medic. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.

(Land of Waves.)

Marmora looked at Sakura while cracking his fingers. The medical nin said nothing at the moment, making Marmora question what she was going to do next.

"I'm starting to hope the Otsutsuki don't aren't going to come hunting us down." Marmora said while pausing to shake his head. "I don't know what their do next, they could easily kill us if they found us." Marmora added which caused Sakura to look at him with interest.

"It isn't going to be as easy as you think it might be." Sakura said, pausing to sit down next to Marmora. "If they were smart? And I guarantee they are? Their wait for us to make the first move, but I also know how arrogant the Otsutsuki can be." Sakura added as Marmora hummed and raised an eyebrow at her.

"I doubt we're going to be safe somewhere from them." Marmora said, humming while rubbing at his hands. "They almost killed us twice, I don't know what will happen next. I do know if we get back to Konoha? We might be safe." Marmora added, shaking his head with a sigh as he paused to look up at the night sky.

Sakura said nothing. She was well aware how powerful the Otsutsuki could be. A flat out fight with them? It was a death sentence as much as anything. Then again? That was what being a kunoichi meant when it came down to it.

"You know this path could end up getting both us killed?" Marmora pointed out, drumming his fingers on his knees as he turned to her. "I know why their after me, but their less likely to go after you when they find you. Just pointing that out as an option." Marmora stated, rubbing at his temples in frustration.

He was well aware just how ridiculous this was going to be. Why wasn't Naruto the one facing them? He was a regular hired mercenary, not a world-famous warrior like him who had saved the world several times.

Marmora simply shrugged as he realized that the burden currently was stuck with him, weather he wanted it or not. He could only hope that he was ready for whatever trials that awaited him down the road, he'd face them sooner or later.

"What did I tell you before now?" Sakura asked, crossing her arms at him as Marmora hummed and shrugged with amusement.

"Only giving you the choice to walk away before I do something." Arata stated which was greeted by a hum. "Besides, we're going to be over our heads. These guys aren't playing with us. They want blood, I've fought people who want me dead before, it's NOTHING compared to what I usually deal with such." Arata stated as he cracked a smile and shook his head while he looked to the side.

He was curious as to what could happen next. These were not criminals like he usually pitted himself against, nor were they anything he had been used to in his life. It wasn't like He was used to this, but he supposed now he would have to be when the next fight occurred.

"We should get moving before they get our location then." Sakura said, slowly pulling Arata alongside her. "The sooner we have a plan made up and we're where we need to be? The sooner we don't have to worry about looking over our shoulders." Sakura added to which Marmora hummed and shook his head with a sigh.

"If it was going to be that easy?" Marmora said and put his hands in his pockets while looking around. "Then I wouldn't be as scared as you think about it." Marmora stated while he cracked his fingers.

These monsters were going to be horrible. Marmora knew more about them then he did before, which meant he knew that they weren't impossible to defeat. Marmora could only ponder how to beat these creatures.

"I'm going to guess that there is a plan when it comes down to it?" Marmora asked, turning to hum at Sakura as she nodded. "Good, I don't really what's a good next move, I'm a mercenary… Not a leader, all I know is those Otsutsuki people aren't unstoppable… Their still strong enough to easily kill us and I don't have a plan to stop them yet." Marmora said, gaining a sigh from Sakura as she simply pulled Arata along with her.

"Oy… Both of you two are idiots." Arata heard and rolled his eyes as he turned to look ahead.

'She's the smart one, I'm not as much of a strategist outside of direct combat. It isn't like the whole 'fighting super powered beings from another dimension thing' is old hat, you know.' Marmota stated mentally as he turned to walk to the side.

He didn't get an answer for a moment.
