Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Merc and the Medic. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.

(Land of Waves.)

Marmora could only question what Sakura wanted to do more than anything else. Her plan had to work if it didn't? Then Marmora didn't know how Naruto planned to work around this… But knowing him? The Hokage would probably overcome him.

"Sometimes I think your just screwing with me about being a powerful being and all that." Marmora stated to which Kuraokami was simply able to laugh.

"I don't know if I am one around here currently." Kuraokami put in as he started to think for another moment. "Maybe I'm not, but still? That's what you're focusing on? We still have a plan to carry out. You know for a fact that Sakura needs a distraction." Kuraokami stated while Marmora shook his head and sighed, looking over his shoulder.

"We're going right now, but I'm just saying. It's really hard to believe any of this with all due respect." Marmora said as he drew his kunai.

"Maybe, but it doesn't mean you get to whine about it, kid." Kuraokami said before he blinked. "Heads up, that guy is coming. I need to think of what's to come." Kuraokami stated to which Marmora rubbed at his temples.

"Ah, there you are." Marmora heard as he closed his eyes, unsure if Sakura could fight her way to the vault.

(With Sakura)

Sakura could only hope that Marmora was going to be able to keep the Otsutsuki busy. Still? She needed time… Too much time at the moment.

"I believe it'd help if I informed you that Marmora is busy trying to lead Mr. walking warzone back this way." Kuraokami added, flexing his talons which caused him to think about next warriors at the moment.

"How long until he gets here?" Sakura questioned as she cracked her knuckles.

The wall exploded, showing Marmora and Urashiki as both started to continue fighting. Marmora turned and started slashing at the Otsutsuki member, curious as to what happened next.

"Oh, so both of you decided to come back to die." Urashiki said as he looked at them with disgust and amusement.

Marmora rolled his eyes as he watched Sakura punch the ground, sending stone flying everywhere. Urashiki was forced to fling himself backwards and sweep it away with a single hit.

"Are you sure you can distract him?" Marmora questioned, raisin an eyebrow as he did so.

"Yes." Sakura said as Marmora sighed and nodded before leaping through the hole in the wall and rushing forward.

He knew this wasn't going to end well, it would only continue to get worse. She couldn't stop him, neither could he, but still? If they managed to get the scroll? Maybe Naruto could do it, they just needed the time to get back home.

"This is going to be ridiculous." Marmora muttered as dirt and stone flew from the arena behind him. "Do you think she can survive him? Seriously, I'm scared more for her." Marmora added, Kuraokami raising an eyebrow before he nodded.

"She's fought Kaguya with the others, so yeah. I think she could stand up to him." Kuraokami responded as he paused to click his tongue against the roof of his mouth.

"And?" Marmora questioned, leaping through the ruble of his home as he sighed. "We're going to die here; we are literally going to die in this pile of garbage. I hate this so damn much and I wish I could change it." Marmora added, dodging another explosion over his shoulder as stone and rubble rang out over the arena.

There was far too much at stake for him to screw up. Losing now? Meant losing for good and there was just no way he was going to let that happen, not if there was a way to save people from this.

"Kid, trust me. She's far tougher than you think." Kuraokami said, clicking his talons together. "If she was in danger? Then I would have told you. I'm not going to let her die, nor you. Your both too important when it comes down to it." Kuraokami added to himself more than his friend.

There was nothing that really made him confident in his own abilities. If it was easy to deal with? Then she'd be done with it. She didn't feel like it.

"There's something to be said about the type of stuff to be done when it comes down to it." Marmora said while he shook his head and started to think of what came next.

There was simply too much at stake for it to fail now. she simply didn't want to think of what came next. Marmora didn't want to think of what happened if they failed at this day. If that didn't happen sooner rather then later? He'd be surprised… But he wasn't.

It was good for him to try and imagine something new.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter done. I want to point out since the reviews and my own thoughts of the story? I am redoing this story. I did not write Marmora to be a self-insert, nor did I also try to make him an overpowered badass like this. Next story will be down the road and such. Until then? Lighting Wolf out for the time being.
