Hey all! The last half of last week got to be pretty hectic, leaving me with barely anytime to sit down and write. This chapter is two different parts with a good 7 months between the first part and the second part. This chapter does end the main part of this story. Starting next chapter will be a good chunk of a time jump. I'll try to get the next chapter up ASAP!

Enjoy!

"Zoe, you're my best friend. We've been the best of friends a good chunk of our lives, and I nearly messed all of that up because I was being stupid. Moving home didn't feel right not until things with us were fixed. What I didn't know I was looking for while I was gone, I would find with you, home. My Ma always told me things happen when they need to, and for the first time in my life I fully believe those words," Wade said, gently squeezing her hands.

"I once thought the most bizarre thing that could happen to me is that you would be in love with me. You told me that friends fall in love all the time, remember that?" She asked him.

"My parents are a great example of that. They were able to build a stable and strong foundation for their relationship by being friends first," Wade said with a smile on his face.

"We've done the same. Nothing can ruin what we have. You'll be my best friend till the end of time. I can't see that ending anytime soon. We don't break promises and we don't lie to each other," she said. "Everything I have learned from the years past is that I love you with every fiber in my being. I didn't know that befriending you when I was 9 that it would lead me to loving you, to have my world so entwined with yours, yet I wouldn't change it, because you were the best part of growing up. My life wasn't complete without you in it," she spoke.

"All we need now is that cabin in the woods for being best friends," Wade joked, getting a laugh out of Zoe over a joke shared when they were in high school and he got broken ribs playing football. "Lying isn't something we do with each other, so you know that everything I vow to you today and every day in the future will hold true."

"I can't wait to fall in love with you more every single day of our marriage. As you said we don't lie and it's not something we're going to start doing now. When it comes to my love for you, Wade, my heart has always been yours to take, and I am sorry that I didn't realize that fact sooner than I had," she told him. "Wasted years that didn't need to be wasted," she said, looking at her daughter. "I wouldn't change our story, as I love the life we have with those in it."

"Nothing to be sorry about," Wade promised her. "Our love story worked out the way it needed to work out. Like Ma said, things happen at their own time, in their own ways when you're ready for them to happen. That is what happened here, I wouldn't change our story for nothing," he said. "Sofia," Wade said, gaining the little girl's attention to join them at the altar. "I will continue loving you like you're my daughter. I vow to be more than just a step-father to you, I know I can't compete on the father front, nor do I want to, because you have a great father. I want you to know that for any reason if you need someone at any time for any reason look no further. I've got you, always," Wade told her. Sofia motioned for Wade to kneel down to her level

"Even now that I'm going to be a big sister?" Sofia asked in a whisper only for Wade to hear.

"What?" Wade asked, looking to Zoe. "Is that true?" He asked, his eyes landing on his wife-to-be's stomach, having trouble with his words. Kids weren't something he thought about growing up, but these last few months while planning their wedding, and bonding with Sofia, he would take a few minutes to think about what the future for them looked like and giving Sofia a sibling or two had been a thought, one not voiced or talked about.

"Very true," Zoe confirmed.

"Even now Sofia, nothing is going to change how I think of you, and that is as my daughter," Wade told Sofia. "I love you, Sofia," he told her.

"I love you, Wade," smiled Sofia, going back to her spot.

"Today was already the greatest day of my life, combining our lives together and it's only gotten better now that I get to be a father to our little one," Wade said, moving their joined hands to rest against Zoe's still flat stomach.

"You're going to be an amazing father, you already are to Sofia," Zoe told him. "Today is the start of the rest of our lives together, not many days to come will be able to top today. I love you, Wade."

"Do you Wade Kinsella, take Zoe Wilkes to be your wife?"

"I do," Wade smiled.

"Do you promise to love, cherish and protect her, whether in good fortune or in adversity and to seek with her a life hallowed by the faith of Israel?"

"I do," Wade beamed with joy.

"Do you Zoe Wilkes, take Wade Kinsella, to be your wedded husband. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do you part?"

"I do," Zoe answered with a grin to match Wade's.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."

Wade swept Zoe up in a kiss. One filled with love and joy. A kiss to signal the start of their lives together as husband and wife. More importantly, it's a kiss sealing their love together. A simple reminder that through the hardest part of their marriage they can make it work.

"Dude, shouldn't you be in the room with your wife?" George asked, sitting in the waiting room with Sofia. George tried to convince his daughter that they would be at the hospital to see her baby brother once he was born as it takes a while. Sofia didn't like that answer and insisted she needed to be at the hospital because her baby brother is going to need her.

"She kicked me out," Wade sighed, falling to sit in an empty chair, only to get up a few seconds later to pace around the small waiting room. "We all know I'll be right back in the room within the next few minutes. I am not going to miss the birth of my son when I am right here," he stated like it's the most obvious answer in the whole freaking world.

"That we do," George chuckled.

"Were you in the room when Sofia was born?" Wade asked, taking a seat in the chair he barely sat in moments ago. His right leg bounced as he kept an eye on the clock.

"I wanted to be in the room, and Zoe wanted me in there in theory. I didn't like that I couldn't see the birth of my daughter, but it would have been awkward if I was in the room. We agreed that I'd be there for her in the room right up until it was time to bring Sofia into the world, then I parked my butt in the waiting room," George told him. "No reason to be jealous," he teased Wade.

"I wasn't jealous," Wade mumbled, casting a look to a sleeping Sofia. "I was curious if you were there when she was born is all," he shrugged. "I would have asked Zoe, but…" he trailed off shrugging.

"If you asked Zoe, I'm sure you wouldn't have heard the end of it," George commented.

"There were days I wouldn't have had my head if I had asked," Wade tossed out. "It's going to be hours yet, that is what the doctors say, have you tried getting her home to sleep in her own bed?" Wade asked, nodding towards Sofia.

"You know how stubborn like her mother she is," George tossed out, shaking his head. "I have failed with every bribe that I could think of and nothing is going to get her out of this hospital until after her brother is born," he explained with a soft sigh. He does understand that most parents in this position would have made their child stay home, until after the birth of their sibling, whether they stayed mad about it or not. But whether Sofia is sitting at home or in the hospital she's still going to be waiting and worried about her mom and about her baby brother. "I don't think it would be better for her to be at home," George said, easier to refer to his house as her home as it is to refer to Zoe and Wade's house as her home. "With her being here she doesn't have to worry about Zoe or her baby brother," George shrugged.

"No, I get it," Wade nodded. He's seen Sofia helping Zoe as much as possible over the past few weeks. He watched as Sofia would tell her baby brother all kinds of stories, count, say her ABC's and read to Zoe's bump along with sisterly kisses, hello's, goodnights, and everything in between. "I better get back," Wade suggested, standing up.

"So I'll see you in twenty minutes?" George teased.

"More like ten," Wade mumbled, leaving his laughing friend in the waiting room with a still sleeping Sofia. "We good in here?" Wade asked, entering the room Zoe occupies.

"Everything is just peachy keen in here," Zoe retorted a bite to her words as pain shoots through her as a contraction hits. Wade quickly make his way to his wife's side, holding her hand, holding back his wince as she squeezed his hand in a death grip, instead he kissed her temple. "Not again, two kids is plenty," she warned him.

"I'm more than happy to have two kids and no more," Wade agreed with her. He would have been fine with it just being Sofia. He is over the moon about his son. But having more kids isn't going to break what he has with Zoe.

"UGH!" Zoe screamed, squeezing Wade's hand tightly. "Your son is about to get evicted whether he's ready for it or not," Zoe stated, falling back against the hospital bed.

"I don't think it quite works like that," Wade told her. Zoe glared at him. "I'll go find the doctor," he murmured getting up.

"Remember Sofia, you have to be extra careful and extra quiet," Wade reminded her as they walked down the hallway in the hospital for Sofia to meet her baby brother for the first time.

"I know this," Sofia responded.

"Are you ready to meet your baby brother?" Wade asked, stopping at the closed door to the hospital room his wife and son occupy.

"Uh-huh," Sofia answered, nodding her head. She reached for the doorhandle wanting to see her brother and her mother.

Smiling to himself, he opened the door letting Sofia walk in, her steps slowing down as she reached the bed. He hung back by the door letting mother and daughter have a moment, as Sofia wasn't quite sure of herself now that she was in the room. The outgoing girl was replaced with a shy girl right before his eyes.

"You promise you're going to love me now that he's here?" Sofia asked, turning to look at Wade.

"I promise you, Sofia," he told her, closing the small space between them, picking her up. "We have a bond that isn't breakable, I'm your father as much as I am his, okay?" He questioned.

"Okay," she smiled, gently climbing onto the bed.

"Would you like to welcome Jack Harley Kinsella to the world?" Zoe asked, showing her daughter her new baby brother.

"Mommy?" Sofia asked, looking from her brother to her mom.

"Yes, sweetie?" Zoe asked, giving her daughter the attention she deserves.

"Why doesn't he have my last name?" She asked.

"Because Wade is his father, and he needs to have his daddy's name," Zoe told her.

"But Wade is my dad too," Sofia pointed out with a small pout, tears filling her blue eyes.

"Sweetie," Wade said, rubbing Sofia's back. "You can have my name too, but you have to make sure it's okay with your mom and dad," Wade told her.

"Can I?" Sofia asked with pleading eyes.

"Sofia Jacqueline Kinsella-Tucker, or Sofia Jacqueline Tucker-Kinsella, both have a nice ring to it," Zoe commented. "We do have to ask your dad," she told her daughter. "Okay?" Zoe asked. Sofia nodded, gushing over her new brother.
