Writer's Notes: Thank you everyone for your support and reviews! I could not do this without any of you! I know I was out for a bit. I had my baby back in August and have aken the time to spend with the family. I am now back at work, and getting back to normal. I plan on bringing more stories to everyone. Outlander was a series I watched while on my mini break. I hope that everyone enjoys the story as much as I do writing it. There won't be too many supernatural aspects to the story. If you haven't watched or read the Outlander show or books, then I highly recommend it. The storyline will follow more along the lines of Outlander than Twilight. Don't fret, the Twilight characters will make their appearances. As always, I appreciate everyone! Don't forget to follow, favorite and review!

Bella looked around her, trying to figure out why her surroundings changed. She left the stone circle, finding there were more trees than before and the road where she came from and the car she was renting vanished. None of it made sense. Her brain was shooting off in many directions and she wasn't sure how to explain what was happening. She heard movement and then she was startled when a man wearing a red coat appeared, a little disheveled and perhaps a little drunk. His hair was dark, long, pulled back into a ponytail. His dark eyes focused on Bella, he stumbled towards her, a mischievous grin on his face. She backed away, turning and running. He chased her as she ran. She wasn't sure where she was going, but she had to get away from him. She tripped over something, landing hard, her ankle spidering with burning pain. She cried out, but she tried to get to her feet again, but she couldn't. The man was on her now. He tore at her clothing, making Bella scream out, hoping that someone would hear her and come help her. She kicked out the best she could but couldn't get her ankle to cooperate. The man's mouth was lapping at her throat. She cried more, bringing her hands up to push the man away, but he was bigger than she was and stronger. His hands bruised her flesh as he ripped her shirt and sweater.

Suddenly the man was ripped off her. She scrambled to try and cover herself, but her clothing was tattered now. Tears blinded her as she sobbed, hugging her arms around herself.

"Lass, are you okay?" A Scottish voice called to her.

Bella wiped her face, looking up at a man, his red hair was curled to below his ears and his eyes were a deep ocean blue. He was wearing a dark kilt green kilt, with a ruffled shirt. Leather straps adorned his attire, including a sword on his hip. "W-what?"

"Are you okay?" The voice was thick with the accent of Scotland and held a concerned tone.

"I'm…I uh…." She wrapped her arms around herself, feeling the coolness of the air around her.

"Here," the man said, shrugging off a cloak that she didn't realize he was wearing. He wrapped it around her gently.

Bella felt the comfort of the cloak. "Thank you."

"Jamie! Did you find the lass?" Another Scottish voice called.

The man looked back over his shoulder. "Aye." He said and looked back at Bella. "Jamie Fraser." He introduced.

"Bella… Bella Swan."

"You're not English or Scottish." Jamie noted.

"American."

Jamie frowned a little. "Where?"

It dawned on Bella that she wasn't from her own time anymore. Somehow, she had moved through time, but to what time? She studied the man that was called Jamie Fraser. He was wearing traditional Scottish fashion. A Highlander perhaps. If she truly moved through time, she would still be near Inverness. It was possible that she was in 17th or 18th century Scotland. Which meant that Scotland would have referred to America as the colonies mostly. "Um. America, the colonies. I'm from… Boston."

Jamie nodded. "Ah. Does make sense. Are you hurt at all Miss Swan?"

Bella swallowed, her ankle throbbing, reminding her that she had injured herself. "My ankle."

Jamie looked down to her feet. He realized she was wearing pants, atypical for a woman, he had many questions, but for now, he had to get her back to the others. They were on their way back to Castle Leoch. "We will take a look at it back at the horses." He said and then gathered her in his arms, hoisting her up.

It surprised Bella a little and her arms went up around his neck instinctively.

"Easy, I'm not going to hurt you lass." Jamie said with a smile.

Bella nodded. "Thank you." She said and Jamie carried her up the hill towards where he said the horses were. There was another man, about the same height as Jamie. He had dark hair, a beard and dark eyes. He was wearing the same thing Jamie was wearing.

"A bonnie lass you've stumbled upon." The man spoke with a toothy grin.

"She's hurt her ankle running from the red coat that I knocked out." Jamie said. "It was Captain Randall."

"Are ye dafty?" The man said, scowling. "He's after ya head lad."

Jamie sighed. "Well hopefully since he was drunk, he won't remember my face." He said, and then continued walking, carrying Bella. "This is Murtagh." He said with a nod.

Bella looked at the other man. He was nice like Jamie, so she nodded to him. "Hello. I'm Bella."

"Ah a sassenach."

"She's from the colonies." Jamie corrected.

Bella blinked a couple times. Sassenach was a term to describe an English foreigner in Scotland. "What's today?"

Jamie raised a brow. "It is the 10th day of October. Did you hit yer head as well?"

Bella thought about that. The dates were off. Only for about two weeks, but time travel wouldn't be exact. "I believe I might have…" she nearly muttered. She clung to Jamie as he continued to carry her. He was strong, which wasn't surprising. If she was in medieval Scotland and Jamie was a highlander, then that meant that he would be used to a lot of manual labor.

When they arrived at the horses, there were other men there. One man, who was older than Jamie and possibly Murtagh, swung down off his horse. He was bald under his cap, but he wore the same clothes that Jamie and Murtagh were wearing. He had a grey beard that aged him, but aged him finely. He would be considered a silver fox in Bella's time. His eyes were a hazel, rich in greyer colors than browns. He looked stern as he approached.

"Bringing back strays?" He asked, his voice Scottish, not surprising to Bella. Everyone here was Scottish but her.

"She was the scream I heard. She was attacked by a red coat. Captain Randall."

The man's brows furrowed. "We need to move quickly. No time to make camp. We'll move through the cover of the night."

Bella was still in Jamie's arms, her arms looped up around his neck. "Who's captain Randall?"

"Sassenach at that. You should have left her be." The man said.

"Dougal, she's from the colonies. She's not English." Murtagh input.

Bella looked at the other man that Murtagh had called Dougal. It was clear that Dougal was the leader here. She didn't say a word though, unsure of how to present herself.

Dougal looked at Bella, his hazel eyes skimming over her. "Aye, she's not. Why are you carrying the lass?"

"She hurt her ankle." Jamie said. "Let me fix it before we go."

Dougal looked around. "Make it quick." He said and then got back up on his horse. "Angus, Rupert, trail around. Scout for redcoats." He said and clicked his tongue at his horse, before disappearing with the other two he called out in the ranks.

Jamie sighed and then carried Bella over towards his own horse and set her down easy. "I apologize for my uncle. He is brash sometimes." He said calmly, before kneeling to take a look at her ankle. He frowned when he looked at her boots. They were different than what he had seen before. "You have no laces."

"It's new fashion in the colonies." Bella explained. "They slide off."

Jamie nodded, pulling her boot off her hurt ankle gently. He seen her socked food and it was an odd material, but he didn't say anything as he slid that off as well. He pushed her pant leg up to inspect the ankle better. It was bruised and swollen, indicative of a sprain. "Aye, you've twisted it." He said and then stood to reach into the pouch strapped to the horse and pulled out a white shirt. It was similar to the one he wore. He knelt again, ripping the shirt to make it into strips of sorts, before wrapping her ankle. "This will hold until we get back to the castle."

Bella winced a little as he wrapped her ankle. His hands were a little rough, from his time spent working outdoors frequently.

"I'm sorry." Jamie apologized. "I know it hurts. I must get it tight to help with the swelling."

Bella nodded. "It's okay." She murmured.

Jamie looked back up at her face. She had soft features. Her hair was dark, almost like pitch and her eyes matched its darkness. Though her hair looked soft, like French silk. Her skin was fair, not a blemish in sight. Her lips were pouty, a perfect balance from the top to the bottom. Her shape was covered with the cloak he gave her, though he knew that her frame was small and her bosom was heavy. "You're not dressed great for the weather around here. Where were you traveling from?" He asked, before trying to put her boot back on.

"I was traveling in Inverness with my mother." Bella was trying to stay as much to the truth as possible. For right now, she needed to find out what year she was actually in and go from there. She had to figure out if there was a way back to 2022.

Jamie nodded and then helped her up. She wobbled a little, but his hands steadied her. "Easy."

"Thank you." She said and reached a hand up to brush some of her hair out of her face.

"Let's get you up on the horse, I'll take your pack you're carrying." Jamie said with a nod.

Bella forgot she had her backpack on her. She had her laptop and everything modern in it. She didn't even know how she would even be able to explain the technology. Her phone was in her bag too. She had put it in there before she even ran from Captain Randall. "I can carry it."

"It'll be easier to strap it to the horse." Jamie said. "You have ridden a horse before, right?"

Bella nodded. "I have. It's just been a while." She admitted. The last time she rode a horse was at a county fair and the horse was actually a pony and she had been seven. She hesitated, but she shrugged the bag off and handed it to Jamie.

Jamie took the bag and fastened it to the horse like he said. He then boosted her up on the horse with Murtagh's help, before he bounded up on the horse behind her. By that time, Dougal returned with Angus and Rupert. "Anything?" Jamie called out to his uncle.

Dougal shook his head. "No. Though we should move on from the area." He said and then looked at the rest of the men. "Alright, let's move out men." He said and then started leading the way. Everyone else fell into line, following him.

Bella's head was still spinning from everything that has happened so far. She didn't know exactly where Castle Leoch was, but she knew she didn't have a choice but to go with Jamie and the others. When she got to the castle, hopefully she could figure out what the heck happened and how she got to be in the highlands in Medieval Scotland.
