I'm glad to have finally received another Legendary transformation! Legendaries are going to be quite interesting plotwise, and I'm excited to reveal that to you later!
Also, can anyone guess what Darkrai is up to? Please feel free to review with your guess! I'll give you a shoutout in a later chapter if you guess correctly, or at least mostly correctly. Don't worry, there will be just a little bit more background on him this chapter, in order to help you out.
Now, let us continue the story!
David's POV
"Let's see...if I were a Shiny Eevee where would I hide..."
I looked in a hollow under an old tree and was disappointed to once again see nothing. My silver bracelet slid across my arm, and I took a moment to think on the secret meaning I had put behind the three wolf heads spaced evenly across it.
Then I stood back up and continued looking.
After a few minutes, I heard a splash and a girl shrieking insults. I curiously headed towards the sound, and spotted a furious Janet standing up after falling into a shallow creek. Her clothes were coated in mud from the creek bottom, and her Pikachu headband was knocked askew.
"What are you looking at?!", she snapped.
I flinched at the fury in her words, but replied, "I heard someone fall into the creek and just wanted to make sure they were all right."
Janet looked slightly calmer, but her face was still red with anger and embarrassment. "Oh, fine. Don't you dare tell anyone about this."
"Not intending to.", I replied.
She waded out of the creek, and asked, "Did you find anything about that Eevee's whereabouts?"
I shook my head. "Nope."
Janet growled, "Ugh, I've been searching FOREVER and I've found NOTHING. That is unacceptable for someone of my status!"
Just then, Matthew appeared, looking around curiously. He spotted us, and waved. "Guess what!? I found some real Pokemon!"
Janet sighed loudly. "Please don't tell me you're getting hallucinations on top of everything else you have going."
Matthew replied, "No, really! You have to see this! Come with me!"
He started hurrying through the forest. Shrugging, I jumped over the creek and began following him. Grumbling about how this was a waste of time, Janet started following him as well.
Soon, we started hearing the sounds of Wendell's band practicing. Oddly enough, Wendell's voice sounded much higher-pitched then normal. Not to mention that it sounded like Zeke was struggling with his guitar. Matthew stopped at the edge of a clearing, and bent down with a "Shhhh!"
I quietly walked over to him, followed by Janet. I glanced at the clearing, and then had to do a double-take.
In the middle of the clearing, there was a Jigglypuff singing into a purple microphone. Behind it, there was a Zekrom playing Zeke's guitar and a Shiny Eevee rapping its paws on a rock to make a beat.
"See? See?", whispered Matthew excitedly, "Real Pokemon!"
Janet was staring eagerly at the Shiny Eevee. "That has to be it!", she said, "There's a Shiny Eevee right there! No wonder I couldn't find it!"
"Ummm...", I replied, "I don't think that's the one we're looking for..."
Janet, however, didn't listen. She prepared to run...then cried out and fell over as her skin started turning bright pink and...grassy?
Matthew, meanwhile, suddenly dissolved into a stream of one's and zero's.
I stumbled back in shock, then felt a sharp pain over my neck. A strange white ruff grew out of it, along with evenly spaced rock spikes. I was terrified, and had no idea what was going on.
Janet shrank into her clothes, screaming the whole time, while the stream of numbers began to coalesce into a bird-like shape. I felt fur growing over my skin, and saw that it was a light brown. My ears turned floppy and grew to the top of my head, and a bushy tail grew out from my behind. I fell onto four legs as my face morphed into a snout, and shrank into my coat.
I noticed that the digital code had formed into a Shiny Porygon, which I guessed was Matthew's new form. I had no idea what Janet looked like now, for she was hiding in her clothes. I heard stomping, and the Zekrom appeared in front of me.
"How long have you been there?", he asked, frowning.
"Ummm...we only just arrived.", I replied, "Then we turned into Pokemon."
The Zekrom (whose voice I now recognized as Zeke's) said, "Looks like we're in the same situation, then. I sure hope Rei is alright..."
The Eevee and the Jigglypuff arrived. I knew through some quick logic that the Eevee was probably Erik and that the Jigglypuff was Wendell. Both looked somewhat worried.
"I thought it was just going to be us.", stated Erik, "Now I wonder who else transformed, and if my siblings are okay."
Wendell asked, "So, I recognize your coat, David, but I'm not sure who else is with you."
Zeke scoffed. "You kidding? Those clothes there are obviously Janet's. I'd recognize them anywhere, after how she treated my sister."
There was a terrified squeak from within the clothes.
I looked over to Matthew, and was startled to see that he had plugged his USB drive into his beak. A stream of code flowed over his purple and blue body, and I realized he was somehow downloading all the data on the drive.
"Dude, you'd make an awesome spy.", commented Zeke, who'd also realized what he was doing.
Once the download finished, Matthew dropped the drive out of his mouth. He turned towards a tree, and promptly incinerated it with a Flamethrower.
"Holy...there's no way to teach a Porygon that move!", exclaimed Erik.
Matthew replied, in a more robotic-sounding voice, "Overruled. I have downloaded every single move my Pokemon ever used. Designation: Super-freaking cool!"
"So, you basically used your USB drive as the ultimate TM? How does that even begin to work?", asked Erik.
"Answer: Undefined. Hypothesis: Earth technology is somehow compatible with Pokemon. Suggestion: Let's think more on how awesome this is and it's potential applications!", replied Matthew.
"Umm, new question.", said Erik, "Why on earth are you suddenly talking like a computer?"
"Answer: I am now a sentient computer program.", replied Matthew.
"Okay, that's only made this even weirder.", replied Erik.
I tried to step forward, but fell over. "Ack!", I cried.
"Oh, don't worry, I did the same thing.", said Erik, glad to change the subject, "We need to remember: four legs, not two."
"Ah.", I replied, standing back up. I noticed my bracelet had somehow stayed on my arm, er, front leg, and smiled slightly. Then I noted the fact my fur was damp with sweat, and how uncomfortably warm I was in my now oversized coat.
However, I did not want to take it off. This coat had once belonged to my father and was one of the only things I had left of him. So I decided to keep it on for the time being, at least until I found a place to keep it safe.
Wendell walked over to Janet's clothes. "Hey, you should come out now. We're all Pokemon now, and we need to figure out what we're going to do about our situation."
Janet replied, "No, I'm not coming out. I'm...well, uh, naked! Bleeping transformation!"
"One, we're all Pokemon, clothes don't matter anymore.", Wendell replied, "Two, did you just get bleeped out or something?"
"What!? Bleep this whole thing! Fine, I'll come out, but don't you bleeping dare to stare at me.", replied Janet.
Crawling out of her shirt came a Shiny Celebi wearing a Pikachu headband.
"Whoa, a Mythical transformation!", exclaimed Erik, "That's amazing!"
Zeke frowned. "Hmph, not that she deserves it. Oh well, I'm still stronger than you."
Janet glared at him. "Well, you're a bleeping huge black dragon! Of course you're stronger, duh!"
It was pretty clear she was upset by this whole thing. I felt that was odd, considering that everyone else was taking this transformation quite well. But I didn't say anything.
Wendell stated, "We should probably talk to the teachers about this. Maybe they'll know what we can do."
Suddenly, there was a burst of fire, and Vernon suddenly appeared in front of us.
"Well...about that...", he said, "Come follow me, and I'll explain."*
Anthony's POV
I was walking through the forest with a guy named Kai, listening to some Pokemon gym battle music on my iPhone. I was scanning the area for any sort of Shiny Eevees, or anything with clues to its location.
Kai was rubbing his hands together, anxiously looking around. He was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants, just like me, but his fiery red hair sharply stood out in contrast to my dark black hair. Both of us wanted to win this thing as fast as possible.
Then we noticed a creek ahead. Curled up in the bushes, shivering, was that weird distant kid Akio. However, now he had a tall pair of white fox ears, with a hint of red at the edges.
"What in the world?!", I exclaimed.
Kai looked equally startled. "What do we do?!"
Akio seemed to notice us, and quickly tried to hide into the bushes. I stepped forward, and promptly felt a sudden spike of pain in my behind.
Kai, meanwhile, yelped as his ears started growing up and turning yellow, with black tips.
With a sound like a switchblade, something ripped out of my pants. It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened.
"I think I just went and grew a tail.", I said.
Kai started growing yellow fur, and I saw that I was growing thick white fur everywhere, except for my face. My face was contorting into a snout, and I noticed that it was a deep navy blue.
"Hey, Kai.", I said, "I think we're turning into Pokemon."
Kai's face had turned into a Pikachu's, complete with red cheeks. He replied, "Well, obviously!"
I felt my ears growing taller and pointier, as well as a weirdly shaped object growing out of the side of my head. "And, uh, I think I'm turning into the coolest one."
Kai jumped as a zigzaggy tail sprouted from behind him. "Coolness is subjective!", he yelled, "And anyways, I think I'm turning into the most famous one!"
I fell forward as my hands morphed into two pairs of three huge blue claws. A white mane erupted from my neck and grew almost all the way to the ground. My iPhone somehow still hung from my ears, and my entire transformation had been done to the tune of the Eternatus battle music. Sufficiently edgy, I supposed.
My hair grew out, covering one of my eyes. I felt my head leaning to the side, thanks to the weight of my new blade horn. But it appeared my transformation was complete.
Kai stumbled out of his clothes towards me, having just shrunk. He was now a Pikachu, and looked a lot like the one from the anime.
I, meanwhile, knew that I was an Absol. Unable to resist the joke, I declared, "Well, this is Absol-lutely messed up."
"That was awful and you know it.", replied Kai, clearly not pleased.
"What? I don't see it as often as I think it should.", I replied, "In fact, I don't think I ever have seen it before."
"Well, looks like we've all been messed up.", came Akio's voice, as a strange wispy-looking white and red fox stumbled out of the bushes. It was wearing Akio's hat.
"What kind of Pokemon IS that?", asked Kai.
"I think that's a Hisiuan Zorua. Y'know, one of the Pokemon revealed for the fancy new Arceus game based on The Legend of Zelda?", I replied.
"Whatever it is, it's not my original body and I hate it.", growled Akio, "We need to figure out what caused this and why."
Suddenly another Pokemon fell from the sky, strapped to...a hang glider with a rocket engine?
"Oh no, not again.", I muttered, realizing that this kid could only be Steven or Eddie.
With a heart-stopping swerve, the kid landed smoothly on the trail, avoiding even a scratch on his vehicle. It was pretty impressive, I had to admit.
"And he STICKS the landing!", the Pokemon declared, revealing himself as Eddie, "Despite having turned into a Pokemon halfway in the sky!"
He wriggled free of the straps, and patted the rocket engine happily. "This beauty flew like a dream! I can even use it again!"
He then noticed us. "Wassup, fellas! How was that for an awesome ride?!" Now that he was out from under the hang glider, I could see that he had turned into a Shinx, which made his successful landing and the fact that he'd been resting a human-sized hang glider/rocket engine even more impressive and unbelievable.
"How?", Kai said simply, voicing my thoughts exactly.
Eddie grinned. "Looks like it's Kai and Anthony! Plus Mr. Grumpy Minx. So it wasn't just me who turned into a Pokemon, eh?"
"Yeah.", I replied, "But hey, Absol is pretty cool. Once I get the feel of this form, you can bet I'll make the most of it!"
Kai said, "Well, I'm with Akio. We need to find a way back into our human forms quickly."
Eddie replied, "Well...first things first, I want to find out what caused this, and if it's repeatable. Can you imagine some of the stunts I could do if I turned into a Pokemon partway through my act?"
Akio growled, "This isn't a game, Eddie! We've been turned into imaginary beasts in the middle of nowhere, and we have no idea why or even if it can be reversed! And I don't want to be a small white fox thing for the rest of my life!"
Eddie raised his paws defensively. "Whoa, whoa, cool it, tiger! Okay, this could be potentially bad. But we might as well get used to it, right? See the good things in it? Like, I could control lightning at some point, assuming I can figure it out. Isn't that amazing?"
"No, it's not!", snapped Akio, "Whatever caused this, I'm assuming it's back at camp. We need to investigate and find out how to solve this, and FAST."
Kai nodded. "Yeah, I agree."
I said, "Yeah, alright, let's go."
But suddenly I felt my horn vibrating, tugging me to the other direction.
"Ummm, any ideas why my horn is telling me to go the other way?", I asked.
Eddie replied, "Ooh, ooh, I know! You're an Absol, and can sense danger! There must be something bad over there! We have to help out!"
"Uhhhh...", Kai and Akio both started.
"Let's go!", Eddie shouted, and started scampering off in that direction.
A quick glance, and then the three of us followed him.*
Simon's POV
Gavin and I were searching the forest, along with Markus and a new kid named Joel. Kipper was sniffing around, often bolting towards the first sound he heard. I had to keep a tight grip on his leash to prevent him running off.
Joel was pretty modest, wearing a simple hoodie and sweatpants. His brown hair was kept up neat in his hoodie. The most notable thing about him was his silver watch, which I couldn't help but notice that it seemed to be the same color as the silver star on Gavin's necklace. I assumed the watch also had some sort of sentimental value.
Markus seemed rather nervous, looking around as if expecting Janet or something to just appear out of nowhere. He was keeping his face tightly hidden beneath his sunglasses and thick blue scarf.
As we were walking, there was suddenly a loud snarl. Jumping out in front of us was a vicious-looking Weavile, its claws shimmering with dark energy.
Markus screamed, and tried to run, but found the way blocked by an ice wall. The Weavile cackled, saying, "Weav vilewea! Vile-weaveehee!"
Kipper barked angrily at the Weavile, and charged it. But at an impossible speed, the hostile Pokemon dodged and rolled, slashing its claws. Kipper yelped, three large cuts in his side.
Now, I was still startled by the arrival of a supposedly imaginary Pokemon, but nobody hurts my dog. I grabbed a large stick and swung it at the Weavile. It had not expected that, and I smacked the Pokemon into a tree.
Markus suddenly fell over, convulsing. I realized his skin was turning blue and rubbery, and was shocked. Did the Weavile somehow do something to him?
Said Weavile growled, "Villle...weavilevi! Vile weav vile vi!"
Kipper growled at it, and the Weavile had the tenacity to look amused as it stood up and prepared to attack again.
Joel, for some reason, now had two pink flowers sticking out of the sides of his head. He seemed pale, and then I realized white fur was sprouting all over him.
Then the pain hit. I dropped my stick, clutching my ears as they grew and changed. Gavin stumbled and fell as a brown fox tail emerged from his behind. The Weavile stared, then snarled, "Weavi-accursed Mew! The bosses never mentioned she was transforming them!"
I wasn't sure what I was more surprised about, the fact that I was suddenly able to understand the Weavile or the fact that apparently Mew was transforming us.
Then I was hit by another shock of surprise when Kipper replied, "I don't know what you're doing, but you're going to leave my buddies alone!"
The Weavile hissed, "Ha! You don't even know Tackle! There's no way you can stop me, especially when I figure out how to dispel the wards!"
As white fur sprouted over me, I wondered what he meant about the wards.
Kipper prepared to attack the Weavile, when suddenly a Shinx jumped onto the evil Pokemon from behind.
Bursting out of the bushes behind him were a weird white-and-red fox, a Pikachu, and an Absol.
The Weavile shouted, "I can take on all of you! The masters asked me to bring you in alive, and even with this unexpected turn of events I am still strong enough to overwhelm you! In fact, it might now be even easier!"
With a stomp of his foot, ice encased each of us. Joel, who now had a thick green bush on his back and stubby feet and legs, immediately broke down shivering, while Gavin (who now looked like an Eevee) got frozen solid and Markus (who now had a frog face) struggled to get free.
Meanwhile, the ice didn't seem to bother me at all. As my hands turned into paws and my hair turned poofy, I broke out of the ice and glared at the Weavile, although now I was stuck on four legs. With a loud pop, a fan-like fluffy tail tore out of my pants, and I shrank considerably as my face turned into a snout.
Markus also broke out, though now he was a weird blue frog with bubbles around its neck. I remembered seeing this Pokemon on his shirt, but I did not know what it was.
Kipper struggled to break out of his ice prison. "Simon!", he cried, "You're a fox! Oh no, I wasn't fast enough!"
"Don't worry Kipper!", I replied, "This isn't your fault!"
I glared at the Weavile and charged full speed at him. With a flash of energy, I tackled him to the ground. But he snarled, and a burst of dark energy sent me flying into a tree. I yelped, making a sound that resembled, "Vul-pix!"
But that was odd. I didn't look like a Vulpix. Then I remembered the fancy Alolan and Galarian forms Gavin had told me about. Wasn't there an Ice-type Vulpix among them?
The Weavile growled, "You better faint soon. I don't like how long-"
Then he was catapulted back with a startled cry, as a flash of flame revealed Mr. Vernon.
"I will not let you harm these children!", he shouted, "VERNON IS FOR VICTORY!"
He made a victory sign, and a V-shaped burst of flame arose from his head. Vernon tackled the Weavile, and with a screech the evil Pokemon dissolved into smoke.
Vernon whirled around as the ice dissolved. We all stared at him, Joel a Shaymin, me a special Vulpix, Gavin an Eevee, and Markus a...whatever that thing was.
Vernon sighed. "Yeah, I suppose you deserve an explanation."
In a whirlwind of flame, he turned into a small, furry Pokemon with large orange V-shaped ears.
"You're a Victini!?", cried the Absol, who was apparently Anthony, "Well, I guess that wasn't much of a surprise, but still..."
Vernon nodded. "Not just any Victini, kid. I am one of the Guardians."
"What the heck is a Guardian?!", growled the fox-thing, Akio, "Does it have anything to do with me being a stupid Pokemon?!"
Vernon replied, "Yes, sort of. The Guardians are a group of powerful, specially trained Pokemon who have been guarding the multiverse ever since it was created. We defend it against any threat that grows too powerful, which we now believe is related to one set of enemies in particular."
He glanced at where the Weavile had died. "That Pokemon was working for them. His 'masters' were the Dark Three: Yveltal, Darkrai, and Giratina. They seek to control and recreate the multiverse, and are currently trying to gain the power to do so. We thought they were defeated years ago, but it seems that we were wrong. It also seems that they are after you kids, for reasons I'm not too sure about. I will elaborate more once we have gathered everyone. If you follow me, I can take you to the ones we've already found."
We all glanced at each other, and knew we had no other option. We all gathered next to Vernon, and he started floating off, leading us to the beginning of our crazy, messed-up adventure.*
