AN: Time for a battle and a dimensional shift! What craziness shall ensue? Let's find out!

An additional note before we begin - if you leave a question in the reviews, I will do my best to answer it, as long as it doesn't compromise the plot. I can even find ways to slip it into the story itself - in fact, I already did this once when kokomo asked for more information on the Forgotten Court. So feel free to ask away!

Now let's start this chapter for real!

Kai's POV

I did not wait when I heard that weird Umbreon say "Seize them." I charged in and unleashed a Thunder Shock right in her face (it sounded like a her.)

As soon as the lightning faded, though, she was simply standing there, an amused expression on her face.

"You need to farm some more XP, little Pikachu.", she teased, then unleashed a Dark Pulse that blasted me across the room. My brain struggled against the sheer mental force of the attack. How was it possible for her to be so strong?

The Umbreon strode forward, followed by her soldiers. There were not nearly as many as I had thought - only around fifteen of them. Among them was a Charmander, Snorlax, Deino, Shiny Larvitar, Piplup, Zamazenta, Rookidee, Alolan Meowth, Abra, Shiny Magikarp, Groudon, Swinub, Mankey, Chewtle, and a weird white-and-purple Sneasel. I guessed that was one of the new Pokemon in that Arceus game.

Mr. Obviously-A-Freaking-Secret-Agent Bond stood up and stepped back, readying something in his coat. I wanted to beat him up for trying to capture us, but it was clear this new group of Pokemon was a bigger threat. And for now, it seemed he was on our side in this battle.

The Umbreon declared, "Attack now! These Pokemon must be defeated. Treat them as the enemies in those Mystery Dungeon games!"

Zeke snarled, "What!? I hate those games!"

All sixteen of the new enemies immediately targeted him.

The Hisiuan Sneasel used Quick Attack and latched onto Zeke's face. As he stumbled back, the Charmander fired an Ember at him. This was followed up by the Deino headbutting him, the Larvitar digging into the ground, and the Mankey using Dual Chop.

As unpleasant as Zeke could be some times, we weren't about to let him get beaten up by these strangers. I shook off the last of the Dark Pulse, and charged at the Piplup.

As I ran and built up charge in my cheeks, I noticed Joel fire off a barrage of sparkling leaves. They slammed into the Swinub and knocked it onto its side, causing it to cry out. I was startled by the fact he sounded like a boy of a similar age to us, almost as if he was also a transformed person.

But of course, there was no Mew to be seen to explain it. So I had no regrets as I electrocuted the living daylights out of the Piplup.

The blue penguin stumbled and fell over, the telltale buzz and flicker of the Paralysis condition appearing. It glared at me, and said in the voice of a teenage girl, "That wasn't very nice!"

The strangest thing was, her voice sounded familiar. She sounded like one of my neighbors - a homeschooled girl named Gwen Napol. This led me to hesitate.

She did not. She slapped me right across the face with one of her flippers, knocking me off my feet.

Growling, I leaped back to my feet, proceeding to charge her with a Quick Attack. She rolled to the side, replying with a Water Gun. I shook off the water, and charged up another Thunder Shock.

The Hisiuan Sneasel flew over my head, blazing with fire. It crashed into the pool, which immediately extinguished it. I noticed that Rei, silent as always even when she was a giant dragon, was now chasing off the various Pokemon that had been attacking her brother. I ducked as Gwen shot another Water Gun over my head.

I declared, "Alright, I thought you were kind of cute when you were human, but I won't tolerate this! Thunder Shock!"

Gwen froze, although I wasn't sure if it was from surprise or the Paralysis. "Kai?!", she exclaimed.

My Thunder Shock struck, sending her to the edge of the pool. Gwen stumbled to her feet, looking furious. "Hmph! I'm not taking any bleep from you either, Kai!"

The two of us charged each other, prepared to clash once again. (-o-)

Brianna's POV

My group of friends and I were trying to take on the Umbreon, assisted by Miss Melody, who'd managed to get free of the net. Although I had seen Kai get launched across the court after doing practically zero damage, I hoped that with friends, we could try to get rid of this lady.

Plus, I had a cool new Fire-type move.

I charged at the Umbreon, admiring how cool she looked as I went, and surrounded myself in flames. The Umbreon dodged around me, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. I spun around and charged right back into her, creating a small explosion. But my opponent shook it off effortlessly, then dodged as Zola used Bite.

Miss Melody summoned a flash of fairy magic, but the Umbreon summoned a shroud of darkness to block it. I didn't think that was even a move. I deemed that unfair.

Zoe tried to summon an illusion, but the Umbreon leaped at her and broke her concentration. I helped protect Zoe by leaping in front of her and stealing the Umbreon's attention. Miss Melody started summoning another attack, attempting to take advantage of this.

Zola howled, and orange light swirled around us, followed by the buff sound. I felt stronger, and when I charged the Umbreon again, I dealt more damage than before. There was a flash of flames, and I grinned. The opposing Umbreon was now Burned.

I celebrated too soon, though. The Umbreon blasted me with dark energy, and I was launched back, feeling as if I'd been hit by something traveling at my speeds at my size. I immediately recognized the attack.

"Foul Play?! Seriously!?", I exclaimed.

The Umbreon laughed. "You weren't expecting me to play fair, were you? Shiny!"

A cascade of sparkles blasted off of her, blinding me. I was then rammed and thrown into the side of a column. I groaned, staggering to my feet and blinking the sparkles out of my eyes.

The Umbreon loomed above me. "I wanted to capture you alive, but you annoyed me. There are plenty of Eevees here. They probably won't care if one died."

Then she leaped up onto the column, proceeding to knock it down on top of me. (-o-)

Mia's POV

I dodged around the Snorlax, as it tried to belly-flop on top of me. I fired off multiple Embers, not bothering to stay still long enough to charge them up to a larger size. The Snorlax was tanking the fireballs like a boss, which was not good for me.

Man, all I'd wanted to do was have cool powers and enjoy my cute new look! I had not really thought that I'd have to fight for my life, or at least for my consciousness.

I dodged as the Snorlax attacked again. It was a good thing that it was slow, I supposed. If it was any faster, I'd be a pancake. And not the tasty kind.

As the Snorlax lunged again, a giant fiery V slammed into its stomach. The Snorlax fell over, and Vernon rose up above it.

"We have to get out of here!", he shouted, "They're too strong, and the cavern is growing unstable!"

To prove his point, a large stalactite fell from the ceiling and crashed against the floor.

"Do you have any idea where Hoopa went!?", Vernon asked.

"Hoopa is present!"

Hoopa appeared next to Vernon. "Hoopa is trying to cast a mass teleport, but Hoopa needs assistance! Not as easy as opening a portal, especially when Hoopa is bound like this!"

Vernon started casting a spell. "Well, then, let's get to it!"

Hoopa's rings hovered in the air, glowing subtly. I dodged as a stray Water Gun flew past, and hoped that this teleport would activate soon.

I noticed the Magikarp flop over, and use Splash. I was confused about why it was trying to attack me with a move that did nothing.

Then it hopped up into the air and used a point-blank Hydro Pump.

It was awful. I was blasted down so hard I formed a deep crater. The constant spray felt like a barrage of knives, not to mention the horrific, painful chill that filled my body. Smoke hissed out of my ears and nose, and I felt so COLD. It was like a cold winter's day, except every cell of my body felt like it was made of ice.

Mercifully, the Hydro Pump cut off, but the deep chill remained. I coughed and shivered, nothing but smoke pouring out of my mouth.

The Magikarp hit the ground, drained of energy. But then the Charmander appeared, and shouted, "I'll take care of this one!"

Everything sounded far-off and underwater, but I'd recognize that voice anywhere. "Ja...ja...Jacob?", I whispered, teeth chattering.

"Mia!?", he exclaimed, "What? How? Why?"

Before I could respond, though, there was a loud hum, and everything disappeared in a flash of white. (-o-)
