AN: One more Genesis chapter before we return to our main group! Where have they ended up now? Who are these Wanderers, and what do they want? Let's find out!

Seria's POV

We found ourselves in a bright, sunny forest, which was a nice change from the dark claustrophobic halls of the Genesis HQ. Robin seemed filled with renewed energy, and he turned to us with a grin.

"Welcome to my home.", he said, "There should be a village around here somewhere, filled with friendly folk."

Spiky-Eared Pichu said, "That sounds nice. I'm done with creepy laboratories."

"Same here!", cheered Ilya, leaping down from Kyle's arms. "I just worry that they're going to kill Dmitri because we escaped."

Robin replied, "Do not fear, young one. He's far too useful for them to kill him yet. But rest assured, we will not waste time before attempting to rescue him."

"Oh good.", Ilya said.

I looked around at the tall trees, feeling the cool breeze and listening to the birds singing. After the wasteland I'd grown up in and the horrors of being used as an experiment, this place felt like paradise.

Robin started walking, saying, "I wonder if anyone new has dropped by..."

I looked up, and saw a rapidly growing dark speck in the sky. Before I could call out a warning, a kid dressed up in strange armor crashed on top of Robin.

Seeing how the armor crumpled on impact, I realized it was only a replica of something. Robin stood up, knocking the now-unconscious kid off of him, and frowned. "Oh dear, this doesn't look good. We must hurry and get him to the village!"

I channeled my psychic powers and lifted the kid up, cringing at the sight of blood. Ilya pretended she couldn't see it, but I could tell she was kind of shaken by it.

Robin started running through the woods, us racing after him. We came onto a dirt path, and Robin took a hard left. We swerved to follow him, but Kyle misjudged his angle and toppled a tree with one of his wings.

After a few more minutes, we ran into a sentry, who appeared to be some sort of huge ferret. "Robin!?", she cried, "You're still alive!"

"No time, Fione, we've got lives to save!", replied Robin, and he barreled past her. We followed close behind, causing Fione to raise an eyebrow at our very strange appearance.

We raced into a village built of houses that resembled the heads of various strange creatures, and many unusual-looking residents stared at us. Robin was heading for a large pink building shaped like an egg, shouting, "Emergency, emergency!", before slamming into a mailbox and knocking himself out.

A pink, oval-shaped creature with three large tufts of fur on each side of her head and an egg pouch on her belly came out of the building. She saw Robin keeled over on the ground, and us racing into the village with an armored kid floating behind us, and muttered, "Oh, it's just another boring day."

She looked at us and shouted, "Bring out your wounded! I shall heal them for you!"

I floated the unconscious kid over to her, and she frowned. "This one needs immediate attention. Lacey! Robin has returned and needs an ice pack while I take care of this human!"

A purple plesiosaur-like creature with a large gray shell on its back dragged itself out of the medical building and fired a beam of ice at Robin's head, freezing it solid.

"As for the rest of you, stay out of trouble, or Chester will smack you upside the head with a wooden mallet!", she shouted, grabbing the kid and slamming the door shut.

Poor Lacey was stuck outside, and she didn't have hands to open the door with. So she simply looked at us, and said, "Well, since I'm stuck out here, how about you tell me what in the name of the Precursors is going on?" (-o-)

By the time we finished explaining ourselves, the pink egg creature came back out and said, "Well, the kid will live, but only because I had to take drastic measures."

"What do you mean by that?", I asked.

"Well, turning him into a Pokemon in order to save his life could be considered drastic.", replied the pink egg creature.

"Ah. Yes. Um...what's a Pokemon?", I asked.

The pink egg creature seemed startled by this question. "Everyone here, including you, is a Pokemon of some species. Did you not know?"

I answered, "I'm, uh, from a foreign dimension."

The egg creature simply nodded, as if this was the most logical reason in the world.

Just then, Robin woke up. "Huh?!", he asked, muffled by the block of ice on his head, "Did I turn into an Eiscue in my sleep or something?"

A weird green creature with a beige spiky shell leaped out of the bushes, and used a wooden mallet to smash the ice block on Robin's head, before promptly disappearing again.

"Oh, it's one of Lacey's ice packs. I understand now.", stated Robin.

The pink egg creature grinned. "Robin! I'm so glad you're still alive! Where were you?"

Robin replied, "Oh, I just got caught in the wrong dimension and imprisoned by a bunch of mad scientists. There was no need to worry about me, Jojo. I've encountered worse."

"You were gone for FIVE YEARS. I think that's ample reason to worry about you.", countered Jojo.

"Really? I thought it was longer.", commented Robin, "So anyways, how's the kid?"

"He'll live.", replied Jojo, "Although I had to use the TF Serum."

"Oh dear. Let's give him plenty of time to wake up, freak out, then come to terms with the situation before we check in on him.", Robin said.

"Hmm, while we do that, I think you and these strangers should speak with the leaders.", stated Jojo, "They're going to want to know everything."

Robin nodded. "Sounds like a good idea. Come with me, new friends. Our judgment awaits."

Although judgment did not sound exciting, I followed him as he strode towards the center of town.

Robin declared, "Our leaders and their meeting spot are quite sacred, and few outside of our little community ever get to behold them. I'm sure you'll be quite impressed."

Soon, we reached the town center, and beheld the glory...

Of a particularly large rock sitting in a crater.

"This, my friends, is the Multiversal Meteor, a powerful object capable of opening portals to other realms.", explained Robin, "Our leaders are the guardians of this mighty rock, and you shall meet them very soon."

A humanoid brown rabbit walked over and sat in front of the rock, staring at us.

"Oh, that's Lola. She's the secretary.", explained Robin.

The rabbit took a notebook and pencil out of one of her particularly large ears and began to scribble away.

Robin added, "The leaders should be showing up right about...now."

Suddenly, in a flash of brilliant light and endless darkness, a cosmic golden lion and a cosmic purple bat appeared, floating above the rock. They looked down at us, and my enhanced mind could sense their incredible power.

"These two are Solgaleo and Lunala.", introduced Robin, "Let us tell them our story."

After another lengthy explanation, the two leaders continued floating there, staring at us. Then Solgaleo boomed, "Now that we know you are not a threat, let us explain the purpose of our group."

Lunala began, "We are known as the Wanderers, a neutral group seeking to explore the worlds and learn the secrets of our ancestors, the Precursors. We know little about them, and seek to change that."

Solgaleo continued, "We are but one of many groups, but the only one who seeks knowledge for the sake of knowledge. Let me explain.

From the very beginning, there have been two distinct groups: the Guardians and the Dark Three. The Guardians' leader, Arceus, is the only one who knows the truth of the Precursors, but keeps it secret so he can complete his plan of preventing the realms from mingling and collapsing, and bring about perfect order. Many believe this is a good thing, but we know that too much order can be just as bad as too much chaos. Arceus seeks to hide the knowledge of the many realms from them, afraid of the changes that could result if he didn't.

However, the Dark Three is no better. Giratina despises order and wants total chaos and freedom. She seeks to use the power of the Precursors to combine the realms into one, ever-changing chaotic reality where anything is possible. But this would lead to constant devastation and the eventual end of all reality."

Lunala said, "We seek a balance of order and chaos, truth and freedom without anarchy, peace and justice without tyranny. We want to learn the secrets Arceus is hiding, and we want to use it to benefit the worlds instead of tear them down like Giratina. So we formed the Wanderers."

Robin turned towards us. "We are a truly wonderful group, but we have made many enemies. If you join us, you'll be caught right in the middle of this cosmic conflict. But there are many benefits with us as well. Exploration, discovery, a loving community...and good health insurance!"

I replied, "Wait...so you want to recruit us?"

Solgaleo said, "We would appreciate it, but you are not forced to. If you would not like to be involved, we can give you food and a place to stay, then tomorrow send you to a friendlier dimension. It's your choice."

I looked at the others who'd been trapped by the Genesis Corps, wondering what they thought about all this.

Robin added, "Also, the Genesis Corps have made an enemy of us. If you join us, we will destroy them."

My decision was made. "I'm in."

Everybody else nodded in agreement. Lunala smiled. "Now then..."

Suddenly, a strange person ran into the clearing. It seemed to be a small, white-and-orange rabbit, wearing the armor of the kid who'd fallen from the sky.

"Jojo told me this was where you were hanging out.", he said, "You saved my life, and this Wanderer thing sounds pretty cool. Mind if I join in?"

Solgaleo replied, "You are welcome...um, what's your name?"

"Vidar.", replied the rabbit, "Vidar Broen."

"Very well. Welcome, Vidar. Tomorrow, we shall discuss our plan of action.", declared Solgaleo, "Then you will all go on your first journey...as Wanderers." (-o-)

AN: Hope this chapter was satisfying! New information on the two big groups, and the addition of our next batch of heroes! Until next time, and as always, happy Pokemon hunting!
