Also, a guest gave me a devious idea. Poor Sherlock has no idea what's coming for him in the next few chapters...

Zola's POV
It was the next day, and we were all gathered nervously outside near the lake. It was cloudy today, not to mention my anxiety was causing fog to roll in.
At least, I assumed that's what it was. I had accidentally summoned fog five times yesterday out of nervousness, so it wouldn't be much of a surprise now either.
After what felt like ages, Pigbumps teleported in, surrounded by the teachers. Behind him floated Miss Melody, tightly bound and looking worse for wear. She was in her Mew form, which I knew she didn't like donning in front of us. That was a sure sign of her being weakened, or magically bound...perhaps both.
Pigbumps tapped his hooves and grinned excitedly, as if he were about to open a massive present for Christmas. "Greetings, students! The first challenge awaits you! In just a few moments, you shall face your opponents! Who will win and claim this...pretty pink kitten?"
Miss Melody struggled and yelled a few things, but her voice was muffled by her bindings.
"All shall be revealed in time!", Pigbumps declared, "Now, let the Omniwitchard Tournament begin!"
The teachers stepped forward, and began to chant.
"Space and time, heed our call!", cried Professor Flitmewicks.
"Time for these students to give their all!", added Professor Snipe, firing off a few shots with his rifle for good measure.
"This is a mistake...but there's nothing to do!", grumbled Ursin.
The fourth teacher, a zombie lady covered in so much makeup she looked even more horrifying than normal, concluded, "Come right now, or I'll kiss you!"
There was a startled cry as a huge purple portal opened up, causing everyone to jump back. Everybody braced themselves for the terrifying horror that would surely come out.
Dramatic music began to play in the background, as a massive blue metal-clawed foot stepped out, and a large white-and-purple clawed hand reached out as well.
Emerging from the portal came two colossal beings, but what was even more surprising was that I recognized them instantly.
Space and time, eh? Here they were.
"Ugh...what evil psychopathic mastermind summoned us this time?", grumbled Dialga.
Palkia looked infuriated. "They interrupted my breakfast! They will suffer for that!"
Pigbumps floated up in his chair in front of the two Legendaries. "Don't worry, I only need you two for a little bit. Just enough time for you to fight four of these brats and help put me one step closer to - uh, an impressive tournament!"
Palkia cracked his knuckles. "Sounds good to me. I love a good battle."
Dialga frowned and tried to look over Pigbumps's shoulder. "Is that Mew the First you've got bound back there?"
Pigbumps quickly floated his chair into the way. "N-no, of course not! Why would you think that, heh-heh..."
Dialga's frown deepened. "It's her, isn't it?"
Pigbumps gave up on pretending. "So what if it is!? The only way she gets freed is if these students defeat you in battle!"
Dialga growled, "Or...we kill you like we should've done when we first discovered your prison, and free her and whoever else you might have trapped?"
Magic began swirling around Pigbumps. "Perhaps.", he said, "But it won't be nearly as easy. Besides, I am have all the power right now. One wrong move..."
He crossed a hoof over his meaty throat.
The look on Dialga's face heavily reduced the stats of everything around him.
"Fine.", he spat, "We'll play your sick game. But you have invoked the wrath of the Guardians this day."
Pigbumps replied in a shrill, sarcastic voice, "Oh no! I'm so terrified! Whatever shall I do?"
Dialga looked ready to tear the dimension to shreds.
Palkia said, "Let's get this done already. I would like to get back to my breakfast, then destroy this monster."
Pigbumps grinned. "I'm glad you two are being so cooperative." He turned to the students. "Each house, select a student to challenge these fine gentlemen!"
Kai stepped forward. "I won't let Miss Melody remain trapped like that! She's the only way I'll get to be human again!"
Fiona tapped her paws together eagerly. "Let's see if my fighting skills can take down two dragons."
Lulu slipped off her backpack of notebooks and got into a fighting stance. "I don't know what I'll be able to do, but I'll try anyway."
That left Huffandpuff, and all my fellow students pointed at me.
"Wait...what?", I asked, startled.
"You're a Fairy-type.", Markus said, "You're super-effective against dragons. Not to mention immune to their Dragon-type attacks, which includes their exclusive moves."
I glanced at the metal-armored Dialga. "Can I mention that one of them's a Steel-type?"
Nicholas replied, "Much as I'd love to get in there and fight, you're our best bet. Besides, Dialga's the reluctant one. You should be fine."
I sighed. "Well, if you say so..."
Pigbumps declared, "The challengers have been chosen! Who will defeat the dragons in combat? Let's find out! Battle!"
Kai immediately used a Quick Attack to charge for Palkia. But he was swept off his feet by a tail surrounded in water.
"I've seen enough anime to know that there is only one Pikachu I should truly fear.", commented Palkia, "That's not you."
Kai growled, and stood up, electricity crackling off his cheeks. Palkia chuckled, even as his Attack went down.
Lulu charged at Dialga, shouting, "Sorry, but we have to win this!", and then slammed her fist against his side, which flared with energy but didn't do much beyond powering up her stats.
Dialga sighed. "Apologies in advance as well."
Then his tail lit up with metallic energy, and slammed her all the way into the lake.
I shouted, "Alright, take that!"
I lit up with pink magic, and with a glorious pose, blasted the dragons with a Dazzling Gleam.
Palkia flinched and covered his eyes, but Dialga's skin seemed to reflect half of it. However, he seemed to have taken damage too.
Palkia roared, "I'm coming for you! Try to shake this off!" He started summoning a Hydro Pump.
But then Kai leaped up, and sent a Thunder Shock through it, electrocuting Palkia and causing him to lose his concentration.
"Gah! Oh well, it's still weak. Zapdos hits harder than you!", Palkia yelled.
Dialga said, "Hmm, one of you hasn't attacked yet. When will-"
"Hiyah!", shouted Fiona, "Monkey's Four Feeted Throat Disabler!"
She leaped into the air, did a little twirl, then drove all four of her paws into Dialga's throat, causing him, a literal steel dragon, to stagger back.
His eyes lit up. "Let's see that again, shall we?"
The air shifted, and suddenly Fiona was back where she was.
Then she attacked again.
Then the scene happened again.
And again.
And again.
"Watch out, brother. I'll be using this in our fights from now on.", Dialga stated.
Palkia replied, "What!? That's not fair! Where's my sneaky new technique? Grrr, I'll show you who's the strongest by annihilating all four of these challengers!"
At that point, a tentacle rose out of the lake, throwing Lulu back towards us.
She slammed right into Pigbumps and bounced off of his fat belly, landing on her feet next to me.
"Woo-hoo! How was that?", cheered Lulu, "Alright, Dialga, here I come!"
Dialga canceled the time loop he'd put Fiona in, and braced himself for impact. Unfortunately for him, he'd stopped the loop right as she would have hit him again, and ended up getting slammed in the face by an unnaturally aggressive Eevee.
Fiona yelled a battlecry, and started bashing his face in every spot she could see. Dialga stumbled to the side, keeping his eyes shut so Fiona couldn't hit them.
Palkia sighed. "You're not even trying, brother. Don't worry, I'll take care of these people for you!"
Lulu had been charging at Dialga, readying a punch to his knees, when space warped around her and teleported her to Palkia's feet.
"Oh, blee-", she started, before she was slammed by an Aqua Tail and thrown into me.
"Alright, now you're asking for it!", I shouted, charging at Palkia and slashing my claws. They lit up with red energy, and left some red scratches across his leg.
Unfortunately for the two of us, Kai chose that moment to electrocute Palkia again. Being right next to him, I was zapped too.
"Gah!", I cried, "Watch where you're firing those!"
Kai replied, "Sorry not sorry!"
I growled angrily, reducing his Attack.
"Oh, come on! This is getting ridiculous!", he yelled.
Then Palkia roared, and he was switched out with Zoe.
"Aw, shoot.", she grumbled, before leaping to the side as Palkia's tail smashed down.
"Looks like we're working together for the rest of this, eh?", I said.
Zoe replied, "Begrudgingly."
Meanwhile, Lulu and Fiona were working together to pummel Dialga into oblivion. Lulu had taken out his knees, while Fiona was trying desperately to attack his eyes. I could see Pigbumps glaring at him in fury.
"Are you LETTING them win?! You haven't even used your signature attack!", Pigbumps yelled.
Dialga grinned, despite the blows he was taken. "Oh, you want me to? Very well..."
He took a deep breath, then let out a roar that shook the cosmos and caused time to distort around him.
Suddenly, Lulu grew taller, and Fiona started glowing brightly. As we watched, she grew in size, her tail and neck ruff extending into the air and turning yellow. Her fur turned red, and with a triumphant roar, she shot off a jet of fire into the air.
Dialga grinned. "And now I get wrecked."
"No way...she evolved into a Flareon!", exclaimed Gavin.
Kai shouted, "Me next, me next!"
But then Fiona shot off a point-blank Flamethrower, which was followed by Lulu slamming a Dynamic Punch into Dialga's chestplate.
Dialga shot a triumphant grin at Pigbumps, before promptly fainting and vanishing back into the portal.
Palkia noticed all the challengers turning towards him. "Well, this is going to be interesting.", he said, energy welling up around him, "Let's see..."
Then I unleashed another Dazzling Gleam, causing him to growl and shield his eyes.
Then everyone else attacked. Fiona charged right into him and delivered another throat chop, Lulu leaped up and slugged him in the jaw, and Zoe pounced on his tail and chomped him.
Palkia staggered towards the portal. Space began shifting around us, but then he got kneecapped by Lulu kicking him. He fell to one knee, and looked up right into another Dazzling Gleam.
"Aargh!", he cried, and then at last he fainted.
The portal closed, and he disappeared with it. I turned triumphantly to Pigbumps, whose face was dark purple.
"That wasn't fair!", he yelled, "You cheated! They let you win!"
"We still won. Now give us Miss Melody.", I said.
Pigbumps growled, "Gah! Fine! But you won't find it so easy next time!"
He teleported away, and the bindings around Miss Melody snapped and faded.
"Oh, thank Arceus!", she cried, "You kids are simply marvelous!"
I said, "Yeah. But this was just the first challenge. We need to free the coach and Hoopa as well."
Miss Melody nodded. "We also need to stop that pig. He's got some evil plans going on, you see. However, he only monologued to Victini, so I have no idea what he's planning."
"Whatever it is, we've got it!", shouted Fiona, "I've even evolved! I'll wreck him hard and make him into extra extra crispy bacon!"
Gavin groaned. "Overly burnt bacon, you mean."
Fiona replied, "Well, it's not my fault you can't appreciate crunch and carbon!"
Miss Melody said, "Anyways, we've got work to do. Let's head back to the school, and make our next plan of action." (-o-)
