Also, it appears there is a nearly unanimous vote for Sherlock = Type: Null, so he might have ended up lucking out.
And on the subject of transformations, please remove that Alakazam (or whatever Psychic Pokemon it is) you stationed next to my house. It's getting a bit uncomfortable how you're guessing plot moments like this. (You all know what I'm talking about)
Now, it's time for the first part of the grand conclusion of the Pigbumps arc! (-o-)
Brianna's POV
I stood next to the bathroom sink (more like under it; man I hated being this small), ready to go on a life-threatening adventure to restore some old guy's memories.
Needless to say, I was not particularly excited.
With me were Miss Melody, Fiona, Lulu, and Zoe. Fiona was prodding the faucet to see if it would open a secret passage, while Lulu was explaining that in the books Harry Potter opened it by speaking Parseltongue, which meant this secret door was most likely magically locked.
Meanwhile, Miss Melody kept conjuring a clock and glancing at it nervously, which did not help anyone's nerves.
And Zoe...I honestly did not know why she had conjured an illusion that made her look like a bubble. A bubble with a fluffy black tail, because apparently she couldn't hide that. If she was trying to hide, it wasn't working all that well.
As Lulu and Fiona continued arguing, I started investigating the sink. It didn't look all that special, the same type of sink you'd find basically anywhere. But I knew there had to be something special about it.
Unless, of course, Draco had played a trick on us. From what I knew of his character in Harry Potter, that would be something he'd probably do. Sure, this was a parallel version from a completely different dimension, but we still didn't know if he was actually any better.
After a few moments of looking, I still hadn't found anything and it sounded like Fiona and Lulu were arguing physically now. Zoe seemed to be playing tricks on other people in the bathroom, materializing out of nowhere and snarling, causing girls to run screaming out of the area. I didn't think it was that funny, but judging by how Zoe was laughing she found it pretty hilarious.
Miss Melody was trying futilely to ask everyone to stop, but nobody was listening.
I was getting tired of all this, not to mention stressed out, so in frustration I kicked the sink as hard as I could. I wasn't expecting anything to happen, but as soon as my paws slammed into it, there was a loud grinding noise and the sink sank into the floor. Now there was a large hole in the floor, which led down into a vast pit of darkness.
Everybody was staring at it in surprise.
Finally, Miss Melody said, "Well...that works. Let's hurry, who knows what will happen if we aren't fast enough?"
Zoe replied, "Come on, we still have, like, five hours. Calm down a little, would you? You're getting on my nerves."
Miss Melody simply sighed.
I looked down into the hole, which did not seem to feature stairs or anything like that. It also smelled weird, which I did not believe was a good sign.
"Well, ladies first, I suppose.", Zoe said, "I think that's you."
She promptly shot a Dark Pulse at Lulu's back, causing her to cry out and fall into the the hole.
Fiona snickered, but her eyes widened as Zoe pulled a Quick Attack and knocked her into the hole as well.
She turned towards me, but I yelped, "I'm going, I'm going!", and jumped down.
I managed to restrain a scream as I fell, wind rustling through my fur and making my floppy ears and fluffy mane blow everywhere. Down below, I could hear Lulu and Fiona screaming, and wondered if Zoe knew what she'd gotten herself into. Those were the two who'd successfully fought off the lords of time and space, after all.
After what felt like forever, I noticed some red light down below, followed by two thuds and cries of oof. I braced myself for impact...
And landed quite comfortably on a huge stack of feather beds.
"Well, that's convenient.", I muttered.
Beside me, I could see Fiona and Lulu struggling back to their feet (well, technically paws). I got to my feet as well, and looked around to see that we were in a huge cavern. Passages ran off to all sides, twisting and turning and leading to who-knows-where.
Oh, and it appeared the red light was coming from the lake of lava that surrounded us and our island of feather beds.
"Welp. We're screwed.", I muttered, before I heard some whooping from above.
I looked up just in time to have Zoe crash-land on top of me.
"Oof!", I cried, my face shoved into a comfy pillow. Zoe rolled off of me, saying, "Heh, you make a nice landing pad."
I grumbled, "One of these days somebody's gonna kill you."
"They can certainly try...Ooh! Lava! Awesome!", Zoe replied.
I stood back up, saying, "Yeah, except for the fact that we're trapped by it."
At that moment, Miss Melody floated down gracefully beside us. "Hmm, lava, eh? Simple fix...I hope you won't mind getting a little wet."
Then she glowed, and morphed into a Shiny Kyogre.
"Uh, since when have you been able to do that?", I asked.
"Mews can turn into any Pokemon they want!", Miss Melody replied, "Now I'm going to extinguish all this lava! Wahoo!"
She did a backflip, and a huge wave of water flooded the room and turned all the lava into obsidian, throwing the entire room into darkness. It also completely soaked all of us, and I heard a loud hissing noise that turned out to be coming from an angered Fiona as much as the extinguished lava.
Instinctively, I shook myself off much like a dog would, but promptly felt embarrassed by it. Thankfully the lights had just been put out, so no one could see.
Miss Melody shrank into her Mew form, then started glowing brightly. "Alright girls, let's try and figure out which passage is the right one."
"I'm afraid you won't be able to do that.", came a snarly voice, and we all turned to see a nasty-looking scar-covered weasel wearing sunglasses and wielding a wand, snapped in half.
He was followed by a whole army of weasels, none of them looking pleased to see us.
"Come quietly, or we will be forced to do...um, bad things.", continued the scarred weasel.
"You know, I believe we had other plans for the day.", replied Zoe, "Very important plans too, you see."
Fiona simply charged, her jaws lighting up with flames. The weasels, however, moved faster and darted around her effortlessly. As she tried to correct her trajectory in order to hit some of them, the scarred weasel pointed the broken wand at her, and with a flash of light and dust she was completely knocked out.
I wasn't pleased with this turn of events. "Hey, none of you gets to mess with my sister like that!" I surrounded myself with an aura of flames, and slid across the floor right into the weasels, scattering them like bowling pins.
Lulu jumped into the fray, and began to punch various weasels. Miss Melody flew in and unleashed a psychic attack that stunned every weasel around her.
The scarred weasel, unfortunately, had avoided all of these attacks. "You shall face judgement by the boss for trespassing here!" He slammed the two halves of the broken wand into the floor, and suddenly we were floating in stasis.
He smirked. "Let's go, trespassers." (-o-)
After a long maze of tunnels and weasels, our captor had led us to a chamber filled to the brim with clay pots. Someone was humming in the back, and there was the sound of a spinning stone wheel.
The weasels dragged us through a complicated mess of pots, until we reached a circular area cleared of pots. In the center, a strange humanoid creature covered in shaggy black hair was cheerfully humming as it spun a huge mound of clay on top a potter's wheel.
"Boss, we have trespassers! They are guilty of trespassing, resisting arrest, and despoiling our lava lake with the ocean! Did I mention trespassing?", shouted the scarred weasel.
The hairy man stopped humming, but didn't look up. "Interesting. I would hear their explanation."
Miss Melody smiled. "Of course! Allow me to begin..."
After her unfathomably long story about our adventures so far, the hairy man said, "I am honored that Mew the First has come to visit me. My name is Hairy Potter."
I nearly choked. What!?
"You seek the Bookworm. An interesting quest, for if I had found you guilty I would've taken you right there.", continued Hairy Potter, "After all, no one we've sent to his chamber returns. Yet you believe you can fare better?"
Miss Melody nodded. Hairy Potter said, "Very well. I'll take you there. But be warned, he will not be anything like you were expecting."
He stood up, revealing that he was nearly seventeen feet tall, and slowly stomped down a hidden side passage. Begrudgingly, the weasels released us from our bonds, and we followed Hairy Potter closely.
"Perhaps you are wondering why my weasels have been causing such trouble in the castle.", continued Hairy Potter, "That is because we seek to eradicate all traces of Pigbumps and his followers. Those students we kidnapped were plotting with him, the items we snatched tools for his victory."
He stopped before a wall. "We cannot let him win. You see, he is one of the main reasons we are down here in the first place... Ah, and this is where we stop!"
"Oh, come on!", complained Zoe, "We were just about to hear the good part!"
Everyone stared at her with a certain look.
"...What?", she asked.
Hairy Potter pressed a hand against the wall, and with a subtle hissing sound it rose up to reveal a dark passage.
"Go on, then. That will lead you straight there. Good luck.", he said, then dissolved into a pile of clay.
"Well that was weird.", muttered Lulu, "At least there's no need to worry about weasels now, right?"
Fiona grumbled, "Let's just get this over with."
We walked forwards into the darkness, Miss Melody lighting the way.
After a few minutes, Zoe commented, "You know, you'd make a really nice nightlight."
Miss Melody replied, "Not gonna happen."
After another few minutes, the passage opened into a candle-lit chamber.
You know, for being a monster's lair, it was actually pretty nice.
There were lots of cozy red pillows and nooks in the wall. Stacks of books filled the room, as well as papers, quills, ink bottles, pencils, pens, and even crayons. In the center of the room there was a large pedestal, on top of which was a massive book.
"Is that what we're looking for?", Lulu whispered, pointing at the huge book.
Miss Melody nodded. "Let's move quickly, before-"
"Ah, guessstsss!", a cheerful voice hissed.
Descending from the ceiling was a massive dark green serpent, wearing glasses and holding several books in his coils. He was nearly the length of the room, and despite his cheerful demeanor I couldn't help shivering at his size.
He seemed to be keeping his eyes closed for some reason, but I could make out hints of yellow light at the edges of his eyelids.
Did snakes have eyelids? I was pretty sure they didn't.
"You know, it'sss been sssome time sssince I've had guessstsss who weren't sssinissster.", the snake continued, "The lassst one wasss that poor Bumblebore fellow, and I made the missstake of looking into hisss eyesss. Poor man'sss mind wasss zapped right into my book! If you don't want that to happen to you, I'd recommend trying to avoid my gaze, jussst in cassse I ssslip up again."
"Wait, so you're not a scary vicious monster?", asked Fiona, confused. "I came in here expecting a fight!"
"Now, now, what hasss that pig been telling you? I'm harmlessss asss long asss people are careful.", replied the snake, "Perhapsss you were alssso told that I wasss a Book-worm, as if I were sssome ssslimy pessst? I am actually Professor Book-sssilisssk, one of the cleveressst creaturesss in thisss part of the multiverssse. I founded thisss ssschool, asss dictated by the Precursssorsss, and guardian of the firssst key."
He muttered, "If only it weren't ssso rebelliousss."
"First key? What do you mean by that?", asked Miss Melody, "I've never heard of that before."
The Book-silisk replied, "If Arceusss hasss hisss way, you'll never hear about it nor will you need to. I presssume you're here to try and help out Professssor Bumblebore? Well, I'm afraid one of you hasss to sssacrifice your mind to sssave hisss."
"What!?", we all exclaimed.
The Book-silisk laughed. "No, no, of courssse not! It'sss sssimple really. All you need to do isss to take the page with hisss memoriesss on it and give it to him. Then the magic will activate and ressstore hisss mind. Here, I'll get it for you."
He slithered over to the big book, and started flipping through it. After a few minutes he found what he was looking for, and tore out a page. He slithered over and dropped it down in front of us. Lulu picked it up gingerly, the yellow page covered in a tiny elegant script.
"I've already read that multiple timesss, ssso I have no reassson to keep it.", the Book-silisk said, "Isss there any chance you could ssstay and keep me company for a bit? It getsss dreadfully lonesssome down here sssometimesss."
Miss Melody shook her head. "Sorry, but we have to hurry in order to save our friends. Perhaps another time."
The Book-silisk sighed. "Ah, well. I ssshall open a passssage for you back to the sssurface. But firssst a word of warning. The multiverssse isss a giant game between more forcesss than you may think. How it will end I do not know. Keep on your guard, for you are valuable to all of them."
Miss Melody nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."
The Book-silisk smiled. "Good. Now, let'sss get you back to where you were." (-o-)
