"Out of Breath"
Renji's hair is finally out of its weird shaped ponytail, and it falls down and covers his forehead and eyes and he curses because his vision is blocked.
Rukia laughs as they take a break from sparring, and as she brushes his hair away from his face she teases him about being out of breath.
From only this? She asks with a smile. You're more out of shape than I thought, Renji.
He doesn't reply, just smiles as he puts Zabimaru in his sheath. I guess I am, he admits sheepishly.
But then he leans down until he's at Rukia's height and he stares into her eyes as he kisses her, and she's shocked at first but then she kisses back, her arms going around Renji's neck and her eyes closing and a soft happy expression on her face.
And when they pull away, now Rukia's out of breath too.
